I think riverdale s7 will end with there being a way home to the future but there will be a choice as to who wants to leave and who wants to stay. And Archie will want to stay, whether or not that’s what he chooses idk but he will toy with the thought of living in a universe where he can have a do over of his life without it having been ruined by trauma or mistakes etc.

My Ever-so changing opinions : TV show version

I will go from the two most controversial (in my opinion) to going over one by one.

You love but everyone hates : Riverdale, it's more wattpad then the actual wattpad movies ya know??? Do I take the series seriously? No. Do I like it as a series for its storytelling, characters? Not even a bit. Do I find it so entertaining because it's like it's written by a suger high seven year old who just loves sex? Yeah. It's like being high without the weed. The story is shit, the characters are shit but when you off all your brain cells and just watch. It becomes my favorite wattpad comedy.

You hate but everyone loves : Big bang theory, I have the opposite feeling with this one. I love the characters, they are iconic but I can't help but take them seriously ya know? The show is for nerds but it makes fun of nerds. It's dated in some areas and honestly ever romantic relationship except Amy and Sheldon made me very uncomfortable. But even so, I genuinely likes the characters so much so that Young Sheldon is in my top 10 TV shows.

Favorite TV show : Heartstopper, my heart stoped watching this. I am a simple bi girl who was SO DAMN happy with Nick. I am a simple girl, who loves Charlie's story. I am a simple girl who compared my bff with Teo. I am a simple girl who may or may not have a mini crush on Ellie--- you get my point.

Favorite protagonist : Fiona from shameless, I like her. She is like very comforting and loving but bites and is just tired you know? Like she was one of the first protagonists to make me cry. Shameless is pretty much a series that has many main character's but Fiona is the center head of the story in my opinion.

Favorite Deuteragonist : stiles stilinski from Teen Wolf, I am a very simple girl.

Favorite Antagonist : Void stiles from Teen Wolf, a very very simple girl.

Best story : Anne with an E, whenever I see someone talking about this series they mainly focus on the romance which is pretty good but the characters, their stories and the messages are genuinely great. I like almost everything about this story. That being said, I am still watching it, I am a slow watcher give me a break but from what I see, This is worth the watch.

Favorite Intro : Got a secret. Can you keep it swear on this one you'll save~ better lock it in your pocket, taking this one to the grave~ *nostalgia rushing in me.

Have not watched but want to : Young royals, I have heard it's good. The cast seems intriguing but I just didn't have the time :-(

Best cinematography : Stranger Things season 3.

Favorite ending : Heartstopper season 3.

Favorite season : Teen wolf season 3B.

Favorite pilot episode : Pretty little liars, the first episode brought in so much intrigue and levels of mystery that me who watched it after it's downfall was hooked. Even though I knew it would lead to shitty reveals, it is still very well done.

Favorite episode : Big time rush, last episode. It made me smile.

Would like to watch again : Hannah Montana, I miss my childhood.

Would never watch again : Riverdale, do I find it funny? Yeah. Will I watch it again? Nope.

Favorite plot twist : Young Sheldon, George senior not actually cheating on Mary and it being just Mary cosplaying. They did it very well and made it believable to why Sheldon as an adult would still believe that George cheated while maintaining that the man was a loving father and husband. It also hit hard after his death.

Should have more attention : Anne with an E. And also heartstoppers but it already does thankfully.

Riverdale is incomprehensible but as a media enthusiast I have decided to try to construct an evidence-based timeline of the show. This blog is for sharing my notes and theories. I also smoke weed excessively and will be posting stoned sometimes. The current state of my work is below the cut, including a full breakdown of whatever I have done of my timeline and commentary about Riverdale’s government and laws.

What is Riverdalian society like?

General: I believe that Riverdale is a micro-nation within the United States borders, similar to the Vatican and Italy. I need to find timestamps for these but Archie’s fake ID that doesn’t mention a sole thing about NY or even the USA gets accepted, and a direct quote from Betty is “You’re not in the United States anymore, you’re in Riverdale.” In addition to this, the US government seems to avoid offering Riverdale meaningful help with their catastrophes with the exception of the seizure thing in season 3. The justice and prison systems are different than in the US as well. Riverdalian culture is notably distinct from US culture in many ways including constant events, different social faux pas, and different slang. Riverdale is ostracized and disliked by USAmericans and the US government seems to regard it with suspicion.

Season 1-3: It is essentially a monarchy, with the Blossoms and Clifford in particular at the head. Mayor McCoy has some power, but the various criminal enterprises of the town clearly have power over her no matter how she feels about it. The only non-government funded media in the entire area is the Riverdale Register and they are notably less funded than the Blue and Gold (S1E9), which as a public school newspaper can be considered state sponsored. Drugs ravage the Southside with no hope of relief. Even the surrounding areas are hopelessly corrupt, such as Centerville’s human trafficking and Leopold and Loeb as a whole. Gangs and violence were originally mostly quarantined in the Southside until Jason’s death revealed that the state of the Southside is a lot part the fault of the Northsiders. We do not have much insight into the mechanics of Clifford’s regime but when the seat of power goes to Hiram we know he conducts surveillance operations on his own citizens (S2E20). Protests require the acquisition of a permit to be legal here (S2E16).

blah blah blah riverdales lack of continuity aside season six having jughead die from the first born plague means that gay charles CANNOT be his brother, which poses the extremely funny theory that alice straight up lied about who her bastard sons father is. and I know she is not above that. I fully believe alice orchestrated the fp is the father lie as both a way of fucking with betty and a man of getting back with fp and I support her for it 150000%. charles' real father is probably just some off screen and irrelevant man OR there is the funnier option of his dad having been hal the whole time and alice just lied about the timeline of their relationship too.

was having a lot of riverdale thoughts so I just put down a basic layout of them. you guys Get It, right? you understand?

I focused on the core five because they are the only ones who bring their own genres to the show, everyone else inhabits their’s depending on who they are usually associated with or in plotlines with (Kevin inhabits Veronica’s usually, sometimes Betty’s murder mystery stuff; Toni inhabits Jughead’s gang story until she’s pulled from that into Cheryl’s gothic story, and in later seasons she bounces between genres when they don’t have just one character to tether her to, while, in a way, upholding the gang story herself once Jughead leaves it) and in a way the cast outside of the core five can be said to inhabit the underlying teen drama more than any of the others because of this. It is of note that Archie is without a really strong main genre or set of genres his story inhabits. There a lot of Ideas with Archie, but he sort of does lack a genre. During the heart of the stuff with Hiram he inhabits the mafia story, but its presence in the show does not belong to him and is not brought about by him. My mother put it that his genre is “Archie Comics” which I think is a part of it, but not the whole thing certainly. I would also note that everybody inhabits the horror and murder mystery genres, it’s simply that horror is mainly tethered to Betty and Cheryl and murder mystery mainly to Jughead and Betty.

note: Many influences are probably left out and the list of teen dramas is literally just a list of the main ones I’ve seen. Though— as @kevin-keller-artistic-director will attest—Dawson’s Creek and Pretty Little Liars are definitely important ones.

Somewhere back in the end of January 2017, a new show came to us, in an era where all the shows we grew up with ended.

Tonight, RIVERDALE is coming to its end. I know some of us aren’t even sure of what’s going on there and how it went from great time to .. this but let us remember it brought so much great moments and enjoyable ones and obviously heartbreaking ones.
