Ritual Baths: The Basics
So you've got the ingredients for a ritual bath, now what?
Tumblr media
Clean this can take as much or as little effort as you want. Make sure the tub is clean and get a fresh towel. Put any laundry into a hamper and put it in another room and you're at a set for low effort cleaning. If you want to go all out do a deep clean of the bathroom leaving the fan on or windows open to air out any smell of cleaning products. Follow this up with your favorite cleansing method.
Wash take a shower. Clean your body, your face, your hair. Clear your mind. Let all the excess energies you've picked up wash away down the drain.
Prepare the Bath turn off the water and step out of the shower then, fill the bath and if there is any preparation specified by your ritual or spell do that now. Light a scented candle, incense or essential oil diffuser to add to the sensory experience. Tip: turn off the lights and use a small lamp or battery powered candles to set a cozy ambiance, keep these away from the tub.
Breathe take a moment to refocus your mind and energy on the purpose of the bath. Be it a complex multistep ritual, or a self care night with a cute bath bomb, this is your time. Put your phone on silent and let the people in your home know you are not to be disturbed for as long as your in your bath.
Get in the Bath if you feel compelled to you can thank the water for helping with your spell, then get in. A bath tray can be helpful if you need your spell book handy (no shame in not remembering all the steps of the spell your doing).
Ending the Bath this step is particularly helpful when doing healing, cleansing, or any spell involving letting something go or becoming something new. Stay in the tub as you drain the water and visualize whatever spiritual gunk the spell may have removed from you flowing away from you and down the drain. Tip: keep a mesh strainer nearby to scoop any loose herbs you may have added to the bath for easy clean up.
Wrapping Up be sure to hydrate after a hot bath, its hard to tell how much we sweat while we're in a bath, and it can help recharge you after a long spell. It can be helpful to journal immediately after a ritual bath, write down your experience, what felt right about the spell, what didn't. Lastly, take some time to 'wake up' before moving on. Regardless of what kind of spell or ritual you preformed, you most likely entered a state of deep relaxation and that deserves to be savored.

Real Generational Curses & How To Break Them.
Tumblr media
Hi family the reason I did this post is to give you the right info on real generational curses. Because I read what is written online and there pretty much the same and mostly wrong.
When we look at the term generational curse we may think of a place that someone has placed a curse or hex on it. But the effects of one family member can be pass down the family line to their children and to their children’s children, and so on and that can be the case in some places. But sometimes it can also be bad chooses and habets that is pass down from one family member to another.
(Example) If a family steals because their low on money aka broke or may not live like they should then they can experience the lost of their financial well-being because they haven't learn to manage their money correctly. Other ways is their health, drinking or even drugs. But if one don't learn the skill they need or ways to help them selves, then the next generation won't learn ether and it'll keep going the same way down the family line over and over.
How To Identify The Problem? If a family has the same habits, or under the same curse and it continues to the next family members then you know you have curse or bad habits/ behaviors.
What Is A Real Generational Curse? A real one is when one or more of the family members or being deleted/ dieing. (Example) Let's say a member of the family dies in car crashes or another dies giving birth or died in a robbery, or a slip & fall etc. But they all die around the same age. This is a generational curse.
(Another Example.) If a family has a demon or bad spirit that movies from one person in the family to another after they died; that is a curse. But If a persons family has heart problems, or lung problems or obesity it's not a curse it's just bad habits.
How can I fix that? Well I'm going to tell you how to stop both a curse & bad habits.
How to Break Generational Curses: When trying to break this the first step is by admitting that there is or was something's wrong and that there is a problem. That is the first step to ending generational curse.
Get professional help if you can.
You can't overcome family generation curses alone.
Change how you speak to yourself.
Change your Habits.
Be Willing to let go.
Commit to the journey, or new career. Something you always wanted to do.
Now If it's a Demonic generational curse then that entity needs to be removed with prayer by a professional. (Please don't attempt with a spell kit you bought online)
This is a ritual bath and will help break the bad habits type of generational curse.
Ingredients:
Road Opening candle. If you don't have one a plain white will work.
Holy Water. If can't get holy water use rain water (not rain water from a thunderstorm)(don't buy Holy Water)
Salt.
Bible.
Scissors.
Basin or Bowl.
Road Opener Oil.
(There's no substitutions to these ingredients)
If you do not have any Road Opener Oil then use Olive Oil pray the 23rd Psalms over it Or you can read the prayer below to bless the oil it's powerful.
It is an offering to God (Exodus 25:1-8)
"Lord God, protector of all who believe in you, bless  this oil and give wisdom and strength to all who are anointed with it.
Why a bath? A bath is the symbol of rebirth, like a baptism. Especially in the African cosmology. When you are in a state of having those bad habits or a actual generational curse you need a have a fresh start. (read my post on spiritual and ritual bath you'll understand why it important.)
Why Does That Work? Because you're no longer that old person anymore, you are a new person the old person is the one that the curse is going to be looking for and going after.
The Ritual Bath: First take your bowl and fill it with water. Add three drops of Road Opener Oil.
Now add a little salt three times (quick pours, not a lot) then pray the 23rd Psalms over it, light the candle and setting it inside the the bowl. (You can place the candle next to it) I like doing this to hornor God and my ansestors and asking for what you need. You're also be blessings and charging the bath to be used
Wear some old clothing you don't mind getting rid of. Also bring some clothing to to change into.
Disrobe and stand in your bathtub or your basin with your candle. I want you to think about all the bad things that happen whether it's the bad habits the bad behavior or the generational curse and all other things that you want to get rid of then I want you to say.
"It stops now, It ends here with me ". 3 times.
Cut off the old clothing your were wearing.
Now I want you to take your lit candle and pass it around your body. Because we are now removing the old. Then read this
"I think you Jesus that you appeared to destroy the devil's work (1 John 3:8), and I declare that truth over my life, my family, and my ancestors all the way back to Adam. Father, I ask you in the name of Jesus to remove all iniquities in my family and replace them with blessing.
Now pour the wash over your body.
Step out of the tub or basin and pat dry and put on your new clothing. Take your old clothing and throw it away.
Option: Few days later you can do a money bath, prosperity etc.

Step 1. Let yourself be broken into pieces
Step 2. Carefully collect pieces and put them in a empty birds nest
Oh you hurt yourself, again!
Step 3. Clean the open wound under running water. Let it bleed until it stops. Rinse once more.
Step 4. Sit with your wound and watch it heal.
Step 5. After some time of isolation take the birds nest and put it in a body of open water, ideally a stream.
Step 6. Watch the birds nest floating away from you. Don't try to catch or follow it, as those pieces can't longer be part of you.
Step 7. Once the nest is out of sight continue sitting at the bank as long as you'd like.
Congratulations! You succesfully let go of an identity that was no longer serving you. Enjoy that new stronger form your breathing in.
Additional Steps:
Step 9. You most likely will break multiple times throughout this lifetime. This is a very natural event that takes place in the human experience. Every time you find yourself broken repeat Steps 1-7.
Step 10. Rest assured that there is a more evolved form of yourself waiting on the other side.

Ritual Bath Tips
Not sure where I learned this, so credit where credit is due.
If you want to put herbs in your bath but don't want to deal with a messy cleanup afterwards, put the herbs in a tea bag.
Tumblr media
I have these large biodegradable tea bags from Amazon that I bought for loose leaf tea.
Tighten up the bag as tight as possible so no loose herbs fall out.
Depending on strength of the bag and what you put in it, the bag itself might rip or get holes. This is fine since it's still less product swirling in the bath water.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you don't have a teabag, you can get creative and use an alternative sack to contain your herbs.
I don't have a hair strainer drain for my tub and I don't want the herbs going down the drain to clog it.
This is a great method for broom closet witches.
You can then later dry the herbs and suck out all the moisture. I reused the herbs from my bath spell and put in them in a bottle for the same spell.
Tumblr media
Also, have crystals that you don't want to get wet but you still want to include them? Low on counter space in your bathroom to set crystals down?
Tumblr media
I put my crystals in a white organza bag and set them aside. It makes it easier to carry when I'm leaving the bath.
I have little (more like no) shelf space in my tub and this made it so I could save space. I didn't have to worry about dropping crystals.
A bag of crystals could also be hung from a shower rack if you have nowhere else to put them.
Tumblr media
Lastly, if you have any spell bottles, you can put them at the side of your tub too.
I currently have a spell for clearer skin and I placed the bottle alongside my skincare products in the bath.
Even if you're focusing on another spell for the bath ritual, I like having some other spells present to ground myself and reignite those spells.
When you're done with the bath, don't forget to thank your space. Clean up after yourself and cleanse the energy for whoever may use the bathroom after you.
You can also choose a lotion after your bath that aligns with your spell. There are many floral scented lotions that are mostly just for scent and not for moisture. This is a good time to use them. Lavender, rose, etc. If the color or ingredients remind you of your spell, incorporate it into an after bath ritual by lotioning yourself up.
There are also so many body oils that you can use. Many witches sell body oils with specific intentions, so you can purchase some from a local witch.
The point is, your after bath care can continue manifesting the spell you casted.
Some more obvious tips
Play music that aligns with your spell
Or play meditative, calming music
epsom salt 🧂 💕
Bubbles!
dried fruit slices alongside herbs could be an option for you
candles 🕯
perfume or certain scents to set the mood
have a set intention
intuitively choose what herbs to include
I've heard of people using regular tea bags in the bath as a form of ritual spellwork. But I would advise you to just brew that cup of tea instead and take it in the bath with you. No use in sitting in tea when you could just drink it and take a regular bath. But do whatever works for you and your situation.

It’s double Cancer time witches, landing right smack dab in my sign of Aries, so when I tell you I’m in my feelings, I’m trench deep. Kid is away for a few days, I can barely see and crying feels good. So to the witch bath I go, with a bottle of wine (whine), a song list that’ll make me sob, and a petition to Selene help me see literally and magically what I need to see in a time of darkness. Getting naked, burning some myrrh and floating in salty water so I can maneuver whatever comes next. Tell me what you’re doing on this dark moon to let go of shit that restrains you and what are you planning for the new moon? Inspire me with your dark moon rituals.

✨Blessed Yule ✨
To all who celebrate, I hope you have a magical and blessed winter solstice 💕
For my celebrations this year I went foraging and did some green witchcraft. Last week I foraged for pine needles and dried them, charging them under the moon to be ready for today.
I decided a ritual bath is just what I needed to wash away the things weighing me down and welcome in new possibilities. Being a disabled witch can make doing big rituals tiresome, but I’ve found that ritual baths are perfect for my magical practice and physical/ mental limits when I’m low on spoons.
I really enjoy making my own epsom salt soaks and decided to make a Yule inspired soak this year. All of my ingredients are either foraged or sourced locally/ from small businesses. I feel like this is more reciprocal and makes me feel connected. In my soak I used:
2 cups of epsom salt
half a cup of dried pine needles
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
10 cloves (I crush them)
a quarter cup of juniper berries
a quarter cup of orange peels
Tumblr media
It smells incredible and the ingredients correspond with protective, healing, and rejuvenating energies. It’s low effort, yet very powerful if you let yourself meditate in the bath, taking in the sensory experience.
