So us and our partner system are in a tight spot right now and need some help

The details are outlined in the link but the TL;DR version is we’re both disabled (they have a service dog), we are about to lose our job, and we need help getting out of a hoarder house where we currently live with their dying father

On Saturday March 30, 2024, I’d driven from Modesto up to Stockton to get a manicure pedicure. We also were moving offices from one floor to another in a building near the court house. My stomach was off a bit. Probably nerves due to the move. I stopped at the gym in Manteca to do 35 minutes on the treadmill and then headed home. On arrival, Martin Cantwell was standing in the Carport at my house waiting for me.

My heart fell a bit. Martin is my friend who had lived with me, but, had been homeless since about 2018. He was there with his red bike. I had given him $40 recently to buy it from his friend Tyler. I had been looking forward to an evening on my own. Storm clouds were building and it began to thunder. I invited him into my house. He sat by four painting done by a street artist friend of mine in San Fransisco. He asked about them.he said that he was tired. I thought that he was studying the paintings, but, he had fallen asleep sitting there I couldn’t let him stay. Very difficult decision.But, I could ask him what he needed now. I could take him out for a cheese burger. We dined at Nation’s burgers on McHenery. We talked about my sister Zoe’s death. He knew Zoe. They didn’t really like each other . We laughed about the time years ago she was in the back seat of the car complaining about something and Martin turned up the radio to drown her out! He was a silent witness to my verbal grieving and retelling the events of Zoe’s last days. Back at the house, he left his bike there for safe keeping. I gave him my old back pack and $60. I drove him back out to Hatch road near the Mc Donalds where he and other homeless stay. I had given he and Tyler, who is also homeless, coats recently. He told me that his coat had been taken by a code enforcement officer. That angered me. Martin had left it in his shopping cart with a friend who was watching it for him. I asked him why code enforcement took hi coat. He said that it was because it was in a shopping cart. He said Tyler still had the coat that I had bought for him, though. 

I couldn’t write about this Martin encounter until today. Too painful. Too profound.

I am God's weakest soldier so why did he choose ME to be woken up at 6am by an alarm I don't remember setting, only to accidentally discover whole trying to turn it off that Duolingo Plus free trial ended and charged me for 1 year emptying my entire account. On 3 hours of sleep.

thinking abt gwen and hobie and what his community means and meant to her, how cool she thinks he is, how kind, how fucking smart. she ADORES hobie, dude. she thinks he's the coolest ever. he's her best friend, right alongside miles. she'd do just about anything he asked and considers him the best person she knows

using this new yr period of self reflection to sit with the fact that like......my body underwent a significant amount of trauma last year and i had virtually no time to actually process any of it. and this most definitely had a deeply negative impact on my mental health
