Me when they are the sisters ever: 😭😭😭 They came out soooo freaking well. I won’t lie, they took me a thousand years to finish but through the constant support from all of my buds (and my latent bisexuality), we made it 😤

Hopefully you guys know the deal by now: design choices, easter eggs, and (NEW!) closeup shots below the read more. ⬇️

I wanted Ace to have a very down-to-earth vibe and looked at Aussie beach-girls, coastal cowgirls, and vaqueras for reference. (IDK, I’ve just always envisioned Ace as part-Australian🌺 and Mexican 🏴‍☠️) Her clothing choices are mostly natural or utilitarian materials like the painted wooden beads on her top, her woven fabric and leather belts, and her denim jumpsuit. I gave her bikini top a zen-garden kind of feel because I read the first Ace’s Story Novel and I loved how idyllic and peaceful they made Sixis Island sound so I wanted to invoke that in some way.

Speaking of her painted wooden beads, they hang off the back of her top and represent her connection to Sabo and Luffy. They watch her back once she sets sail. She only wears one red glass bead earring because the other one got ripped out of her ear when a child, leaving her earlobe torn (don’t think about it too much 😢). Also, YES! she does wear a hibiscus flower just like Rouge (because I hate you and I want to make you cry, muhwahahahaha).

Also, I really wanted her to have super textured curly hair that licks behind her like flames. I am always considering whether or not a character should have long hair or not because I don’t want it to be a hindrance if they’re in a fight (or if they ARE a fighter with long hair, how to they avoid an enemy making use of that?). Ace is, of course, a Logia-type Devil Fruit User so I think she wouldn’t have trouble with people grabbing it LOL I get the feeling that she doesn’t take very good care of it even though it looks amazing. Like you’d think it would be soft and bouncy just by looking at it but if you ever get the chance to run your fingers through it, it’s a total rat’s nest and there’s sand and food all up in it. She still falls asleep while eating 😂 but she tries her best to only do it around people she can trust (woman moment 😔).

Honestly, her design is not that different from Ace’s canon look. It feels really vital to Ace’s character to have a lot of skin showing. And he’s always hanging all over himself with his hips all cocked like the weight of the world is too much to stand up straight. It is certainly not my OWN preference to make her an absolute smoke show. That’s just the character, okay? (I’m partially lying and the proof is that I turned the emblem on Ace’s hat strap into a sternum tattoo for no other reason than that it is sexy af.)

Now for Sabo, I’ve made her very girly. I tried putting her in pants or something more militant but she told me that she’d wear the big poofy sleeves and hiked-up ruffled skirt. I think Sabo has always had a strong grasp on his fashion sense and individual flair and I truly believe that his personal style is one of the major influences for the rest of the Revolutionary Army resulting in the very flashy, queer, steampunk aesthetic (aside from Dragon’s plain-ass cloak). So of course I had to implement her nonconformist look when reimagining her as a woman and dress her up to the nines.

I’ve given her very ornate jewelry that is there to tell a story, even if she herself doesn’t know it. I like to think she picks up stuff from her travels that resonate with her, such as a damaged set of earrings with one stone missing or red cup-shaped shells featuring three nestled pearls. Another accessory that cannot go unmentioned is her dragon claw hat pin that keeps her top hat resting on top of her hair (and is definitely used as a weapon when the situation simply doesn’t call for trusty metal pipe). She also has a veil that obscures her prominent facial scar. I imagine she’s not very keen on the reminder of the incident from her childhood that took away her memories. I also kept her chipped toothed because 1) it’s fucking adorable and 2) is a visual reminder that she no longer aligns herself with the nobility who would have gotten such a thing fixed. She is so poised in almost every outward facet of her life from her dignified role as the Chief of Staff to the elegant materials in her clothing that it can be easy to forget she was also a rough and tumble forest dweller. Every time Koala remembers this, he lets out the biggest sigh.

Her hair is inspired by Gibson Girls and Elizabeth Swann from the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I wanted it to be fussy and tidy but fall apart when she’s in moments of distress. For example, when she remembers her sisters, her hair starts to look like Ace’s flaming mane. I’m so in love with her, I think she looks like an adorable little porcelain doll that would fuck you up. I made an effort to keep her eyes a little bit manic. I get lost in her steely black orbs (and also Ace’s warm brown ones, but we’re talking about Sabo rn).

Plot notes for this AU:

For this series of character designs, I wanted the expressions and outfits to be aligned with the canon plot but I don’t know if I have the heart to kill fem!Ace in my AU. I’m too attached and ASL has suffered enough!!!!! But Ace’s death is also a major defining moment for Luffy so it feels disingenuous to completely avoid it. Also a huge aspect of Sabo’s character is carrying on Ace’s will and I have so many thoughts about how the Dressrosa Colosseum scene would play out if they were all women. Oh well, I’ll cross that tragic bridge when I get to it. I’m definitely going to draw some Modern AU Girl Piece ASL though. They deserve to hang out with no stakes 😭 They are sisters!!!

Well, it's time to open some "sad of worms" once & for all before I moved on with my life. (no pun intended). Because I'm discussing another dead item... So, let's go. 😟😔

• What you see here is my 160 GB of Seagate Barracuda 7200 HD (ST3160812AS) ✝️ already died after numerous troubleshoots & at one time, back in December 2022, I paid my funds to the professional disk recovery store to save "my precious files", but it was too late... 😢 They tried to replace the mechanical arm from their spare parts, cleaning the disk using dust-free ventilation laminar, but again no luck at all. And they labeled "unrecovered". Therefore, there's nothing they can do, and so is mine, so I decided to pull out my unrecovered item via parcel delivery service by paying another round of funds.

• It's a shame, that one mistake could end up a disaster, and that's exactly how I feel the pain. What one mistake I made? Well, do you remember when I accidentally cleaned up my internal PC, back in April of 2022 [CLICK ME!]? Yeah, the result of replacing the motherboard & CPU chip means my 160GB HD could not work. And before I send my HD to the recovery store in December, in May 2022, I've decided to troubleshoot by ⚠️ opening the lid to reveal the internal disk ⚠️ from learning the tutorial! Although, I didn't realize that opening the lid was a ⚠️ BIG MISTAKE ⚠️, and at that moment we're my mind went into a spiral of depression because I messed up big time. 😢 Uh yeah, and also I purchased two HD docks (from Lazada PH), one was a 2.0 & 3.0 USB variant before I sell my 2.0 USB type to anonymous. The 3.0 variant is still in possession for my future needs.

• So, what now? How's my life going after my 2022 tragic? Well, its still hunts today, but I'm strongly moving on from my huge mistake. I mean, look at it. I upgrade my PC by connecting my first owned NVMe M.2 drive onto my PC & it changed my computer hobby forever. But still. It's just a pain in my heart, and hopefully, I will FIND another way to save my precious files (or not). But for now, I put my HD to sleep inside the antistatic bag & a cardboard box, forever, and never come back. So yeah, Rest in Peace... 😔🥀⚰️

(CNN) In response to criticism from actress Ellen Page for attending what she called an "infamously anti-LGBTQ" church, Chris Pratt, who spoke in a recent TV appearance about being a member of Zoe Church in Los Angeles, defended himself and his church. "Nothing could be further from the truth," he posted on Instagram. "I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone." Guthrie Graves-Fitzsimmons Guthrie Graves-Fitzsimmons That doesn't appear to be true. Zoe Church, which Pratt attends, does not state its views on homosexuality on its website. (By contrast, a growing number of churches across the country explicitly affirm LGBTQ people.) While Pratt's church instead has no public stance on LGBTQ equality, there are strong signals that raise questions about whether Zoe Church is fully inclusive. The church's pastor, Chad Veach, produced a film that refers to "same-sex attraction" as one form of "sexual brokenness" alongside things such as porn addiction. While a pastor's personal views aren't church policy, it's unlikely his views would be different from that of the church he founded in 2015. Veach has a close relationship with Hillsong Church. He told The New York Times he modeled Zoe after Hillsong and has also preached there. Multiple attempts to reach Veach or anyone at the church for comment went unanswered. Like Zoe, Hillsong does not actively publicize its views on LGBTQ issues. But Brian Houston, senior pastor of Hillsong Church, did speak out about the 2017 Australian same-sex marriage plebiscite. "I believe God's word is clear that marriage is between a man and a woman," he wrote. Zoe and Hillsong are two of the many hipster-seeking evangelical churches across America that hide their views about LGBTQ parishioners behind things such as their pastor's tattoos and amped-up music. "Many seemingly progressive churches seem so only because they are young," religion writer Laura Turner wrote for Vox about this wave of churches that includes Hillsong and Zoe. "Their theology is actually fairly conservative, but it dresses up in leather leggings and cool hats." Many use rhetoric such as Zoe's of having "open doors to people of all backgrounds," language coded to seem welcoming without explicitly accepting LGBTQ Christians. "The real question is not about Zoe Church's posture to LGBTQ Christians, but about Zoe Church's policies," said Sarah Ngu, a writer who co-leads Church Clarity, an organization devoted to transparency about churches' policies on issues such as women in leadership and LGBTQ. "The key question to LGBTQ people is whether Zoe Church will hire, marry, or ordain an LGBTQ person?" Pratt seems to believe his church approves of same-sex marriage. "Despite what the Bible says about divorce my church community was there for me every step of the way, never judging, just gracefully accompanying me on my walk," he wrote in his post. He's right, evangelical theology has evolved on divorce. By mentioning his experience and support of LGBTQ community in the same Instagram Story, Pratt implies his church has also evolved in its position on same-sex marriage. But there is no public evidence Zoe supports same-sex marriage. Both the substance of anti-LGBTQ theology and the process of hiding it harm LGBTQ people. Ellen Page captured the problem of being anti-LGBTQ: "The damage it causes is severe. Full stop." Page declined through her publicist to comment further. One of the many harmful effects of anti-LGBTQ theology is its effect on LGBTQ youth. LGBT adolescents, compared with their straight peers, are more likely to attempt suicide, according to a 2018 meta-analysis of 35 studies. And a study of 2011 data, published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, found religiosity is tied to higher odds of suicidal ideation (the desire to take one's own life or thinking about suicide) for gay, lesbian and questioning college students. Biden and Washington: LGBTQ youth at risk Sure, Zoe and Hillsong aren't screaming their condemnation of the LGBTQ community like Focus on the Family's James Dobson, who blamed the Sandy Hook school shooting on same-sex marriage and abortion, or radio preacher Rick Wiles, who said Hurricane Harvey hit Houston because it "boasted of its LGBT devotion." Churches such as Pratt's don't go this far, but the same views on marriage do appear to lurk below the Instagram filter. They are baptizing a new generation into a stream of destructive theology through emotionally manipulative music. For LGBTQ Christians, this kind of "welcome" is especially painful. "There is nothing worse than investing in a church for a few years, feeling loved and accepted for the first time in a long time, only to find out that there is actually a glass ceiling," Ngu told me. Pratt should first clarify what his church's views are on LGBTQ rights. In Page's words, "Being anti LGBTQ is wrong, there aren't two sides." These churches don't want people to know which side they're on, and Pratt can help push them to be transparent. And if the church does not affirm LGBTQ people, he has three options as an ally: Leave his church and join one that actually affirms LGBTQ people (here's a map of affirming churches), stay and publicly voice his belief in a need to affirm LGBTQ Christians in his church or stop portraying himself as an LGBTQ ally. He also established himself as a successful director. Early life Clinton Eastwood Jr. was born on May 31, 1930, in San Francisco, California. He was the first of Clinton and Ruth Eastwood's two children. Eastwood attended eight different grammar schools, as his parents moved frequently in search of work during the Great Depression (1929–39; a time when the U.S. economy was very weak and many people were without work). They finally settled in Oakland, California. He attended Oakland Technical High School and even appeared in a school play, an experience he did not enjoy. Eastwood swam competitively in high school and also played on the basketball team. After graduating in 1948, he held various low-paying jobs before being drafted into the army. As the result of a chance meeting, he was chosen for the cast of the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) television series Rawhide, which lasted seven years (1959–66). During a break from Rawhide in 1964, Eastwood filmed the western A Fistful of Dollars in Spain with Italian director Sergio Leone. The film made Eastwood an overnight star. He returned to Europe to film two more westerns, For a Few Dollars More (1965) and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (1966). Eastwood's character in these films was cold and tough, as were characters in his later westerns, such as The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) and Unforgiven (1992). Another tough character he created was Harry Callahan, a detective who ignores police regulations and practices his own brand of justice. Callahan was introduced in Dirty Harry (1971), which viewers loved. Eastwood made four later films with the Callahan character. Begins directing Eastwood's first attempt at directing a film was successful with Play Misty for Me (1971), a thriller. It received good reviews and did well at the box office, as did many of the films he directed after it.
