#this is part of the beauty of their downfall but its also the part that pisses me off the mf mOST #like this becomes a typical behavior of clarks this is just maybe the first time we see it iirc #he p consistently takes out his anger on lex and we dont see him apologize for it later #which wouldnt annoy me so much except for how it IS common for to get an apology scene w his parents/ lana/ chloe/ etc for the same reason #and even THAT wouldnt be so bad except for the larger context of their friendship ! where it becomes increasingly obvious that #lex seeks clark out casually to share things and clark seeks out lex to ask for things #usually not even selfish things either like often its just advice but their relationship is deeply transactional and unreciprocated #i mean i always feel bad for lex but i feel ESPECIALLY sorry for the lex who continues to be so forgiving and gracious #w this kind of teenage behavior. bc even if it hurts him he understands why. #but i hate that this of all things becomes his basis for best friendship !!! like yAH id probably snap and get evil too (via @clarkkentsummer)
