Always You Series Teaser

Now that it was passing period, the halls of Hogwarts were bustling with students trying to get to their next destination. Chloe stood with the Golden Trio in the hall, discussing the Divination class they had all just stepped out of. The trio were discussing how bogus the class was while Chloe being the mediator tried to validate her friends' feelings but also defend the class and Professor Trelawney.

"I'm not saying you have to like the class or can't have your own opinions on the subject. I'm just saying that calling Professor Trelawney names and-" before Chloe could finish her sentence, she heard a tiny clinking on the floor. She turned around to see a ring on the floor, picking it up and seeing the initials "M.R." on the band. Chloe looked around, spotting the trio of new Slytherin Boys walking away. "Riddle! Wait!" she shouted to get his attention, catching everyone else's in the process.

Mattheo, Theodore, and Lorenzo turned around at the sound of someone calling out for Mattheo. Chloe held up the ring to him, "You dropped this."

Mattheo smirked at the girl, taking the ring from her hands. "Thanks Hufflepuff. Run along back to your friends, people are staring," he said as the trio turned back around and began walking away.

Before Chloe could walk back to her friends, they were already behind her, Hermione grabbing onto Chloe's arm. "Chloe!" hissed Hermione.

"What?!" she answered back confused by Hermione's tone.

"If you forgot, that's you know who's son," Ron whisper yelled at her.

"Just stay away from him Chloe," said Harry.

"He's bad news," chimed Hermione.

"That's rude to judge someone based off their reputation without getting to know them guys. Besides, I wasn't even doing anything! I was just returning his ring! He dropped it on the floor behind me," she exclaimed.

Hermione shook her head. "It's always you Chloe, always trying to see the best in people."

Without another word, Hermione pulled the other 3 along to their next class; the 4 being unaware that a certain curly haired Slytherin boy heard them.

Oop... She's writing something that isn't High&Low for once! But still no K-pop stories even though she named herself enhashoutout lol.

This is a small teaser of an upcoming series I am working on. I got sucked into the Slytherin Boys blackhole about a year ago but never really thought anything about it too much because I'm actually more of a Harry and Cedric stan rather than Draco; but Mattheo Riddle, Theodore Lott, and Lorenzo Berkshire have my whole heart. How am I so invested in fan-made characters within a fictional franchise? NO IDEA! But here we are.

My hyper fixations kind of all sit on a spinning wheel and they take turns coming back to consume my brain. It's Fall time now so my Harry Potter hyper fixation came back as it does every Fall and Winter season but this year it's Slytherin Boys edition. So here I am with a series about Mattheo Riddle. He may or may not be my favorite now because I finally started Deadly Class and I love Marcus played by Benjamin Wadsworth who is Mattheo's fan casted face claim so... (Does anyone want a Deadly Class series also? I would be happy to write it lol)

saw a prompt on twitter “the batman but the riddler leaves cryptic memes so what if he needs to hire a 13-yo to translate them” well what if the thirteen yo was danny

Now that's interesting~ I don't know how that would work since I don't see why Bruce couldn't puzzle out the riddles eventually? Sure, it might be targeted to a, uh- different audience, but Batman is considered the World's Greatest Detective for a reason.

The thing about this is that Danny doesn't have his accident until he's 14 so you either have to fuck with the ages a bit or Danny was just Built That Way. A more amusing route would be for Danny to fuck with Bruce and come up with all sorts of stupid answers, maybe even argue back and refuse to puzzle it out for him because surely The Batman should be able to figure this out.

But considering the tone and subliminal messaging of the movie I don't think that would be appropriate. So I could definitely see a possibility where Danny gets recruited by Bruce or maybe even just throws himself into this adventure all on his own.

However... this prompt does sound a lot like Duke's Origin Story.

So during the Zero Year, the Riddler cut off power to Gotham and gave Gothamites a riddle that was supposedly impossible to answer. If anyone could answer it, he would restore power. Duke trained himself with brain teasers so that he could hopefully take on the Riddler himself. I don't know if he was 13 at this time either, but the story fits awfully well together.

Danny could totally pull this off, especially if we went with the Smart Danny headcanons. But I think Duke deserves the nod to his Origin as well.

i think a lot of things that get called riddles are actually puzzles, brain teasers, trivia, or jokes. i don't think 'why was 6 afraid of 7' is a riddle that's just a joke. 'bobby's mother has three children. their names are april, may, and what?' is not a riddle, it's a puzzle. 'what word has three consecutive double letters' is just trivia. 'math riddle' is a fucking oxymoron that's just a math problem

i think it's only a riddle if it's some degree of whimsical, poetic, and non-literal. like, 'three men cross a river but only two get their hair wet. how is this possible?' is NOT a riddle if the answer is 'one of them is bald.' it's only a riddle if the 'three men' are virtues or the 'river' is the concept of time or some shit like that

Do you make your bed?

Sometimes yes, but by that I mean I half fold/half bundle up the sheets and toss them on top of my pillow. So no, not really 😅

What's your favorite number?

Never really had one, but I like when things can be evenly split, so even numbers and groups of five are satisfying 👌🏽

What is your job?

I’m currently a certified pharmacy technician. I used to be the manager but I had to step down when I went back to school cause I couldn’t be full time anymore.

If you could go back to school, would you?

Here I go with my long winded answers again 😅

If we’re talking go back in time to when I was younger and in school then yes. I fear I peaked in high school, and with my current knowledge of life I’d do so many things differently.

If we’re talking go back to school now for a career change, that’s what I’m currently doing. I’m not using my first degree, so I’m in school to be an X-ray technologist and I hope to move up to CT or MRI afterwards.

If we’re talking go back to school now just for funsies, then yes again. I love languages and wish I could properly learn so many! I took Italian in college which I picked up pretty easily cause it’s so similar to Spanish (my first language), ma capisco più che parlo. Non ho nessuno con cui praticare.

Can you parallel park?

Yes but I get so nervous about hitting other cars 🙈 I’d prefer not to do it.

A job you had that would surprise people?

I think what’s most surprising is that I’ve only ever had one real job. I’ve done volunteer and community work, and some research stuff but a formal wage-paying job I’ve only had one of. I’ve had many position changes within that job, though.

Do you think aliens are real?

I don’t rule out the possibility of advanced life on another planet but I’m also not thinking about it on the regular.

Can you drive a manual car?

Definitely not lol. I didn’t learn to drive until I was 26 😬 and I’m turning 29 this year…

What's your guilty pleasure?

Honestly it’s BLs, cause of the stigma around it. But if I’m around strangers I can talk about it! I met so many nice BL fans at an event back in February. It’s just hard to find people who get it.

Anything else though, I’m loud and proud! Haters to the left! 💁🏽‍♀️

Tattoos?

I’ve always wanted one! But I’m so indecisive on what to get! There is this one design I really want but then I think about it and I’m like “but where to place it???” 😭

Green!!! But also purple and white

I listen to a lot of different genres but I like pop music the most. Of course I’m into Kpop, and I love an 80’s synth sound!

Do you like puzzles?

Omg yes, I love brain teaser-type puzzles! I do the daily NYT games whenever I can and I love trivia shows and riddles and problem solving games! So fun!

Any phobias?

I’m scared of heights but I can be brave sometimes. I really don’t like slimy things like slugs and snails or boogers.

Favorite childhood sport?

I love swimming! I was actually on my high school swim team! I did the IM which is all strokes but I also did the Butterfly 🏊🏼‍♀️ and my team started the school’s synchronized swimming team too! 🙆🏽‍♀️🌊

Do you talk to yourself?

All the time! But who doesn’t? And to my pets and stuff too.

What movies do you adore?

I used to love going to the movies but I haven’t been back much since covid. And I don’t really seek out older movies to watch. But I love romance so stuff like Pride & Prejudice and Fools Rush In. And my family loves Disney so Tarzan, and The Incredibles are my faves! We rewatch a lot of Disney films all the time.

Coffee or tea?

I very much enjoy tea but I seldom drink it. I should change that 🤔 and I’m unfortunately chronically tired and need coffee to survive 😞 but I don’t get the complex drinks, just a regular coffee, 2-3 cups a day.

First thing you wanted to be growing up?

Uhh idk really. My answer was always changing, I never had a *dream* career 🤷🏽‍♀️

:Mission:

One year before the harrowing battle of the Silver Millenium four princesses vanished from their Kingdoms without a trace. One month after Usagi battled Queen Beryl and resurrected all she loved with the power of the SIlver Crystal, one of the lost has awoken.

Shina, newly moved from America to Japan, has found herself the target of a new enemy. Elder Bocuk, claims he is the chosen one to unite the Effigy of Seasons and bring on the Endless Night. He has brainwashed Sailor Io, Callisto and Ganymede, and all he needs is Sailor Europa’s phenomenal winter powers to snuff out the sun’s light. 

With the help of Sailor Moon and her team, Sailor Europa must track down the Galilean Scout’s civilian identities, win back their Talisman and remind them of who they really are, all before Winter Solstice. 

Because even while Shina’s powers grow, so does that of her enemy. As the seasons change, time is running out for everyone.

:Name & Meaning:

 Shina means virtuous woman while Yukime means snow dream. 

:Age & Birthday:

 Shina is fourteen, the same age as the Inners and born January 1st. 

:Appearance:

Shina is a titaness by Japanese standards, standing as tall as Makoto at ‘5’6. Her eyes are a powder blue, framed by shoulder length locks, a frosted blonde. Her hair is pulled back in a half bound ponytail, with four braids pulled back from the crown of her head. Her icy tresses fall in a straight veil with loose curls at her hips. Her pale peach skin lends her an aura of purity.

Because of her size, spur of the moment shopping montages aren’t easy for her. Aside from her clothes from America, everything has to be custom made, including her Juban uniform. In the end she prefers loose, comfortable loungewear.

:Personality:

Shina has an independent and curious nature. She hates mysteries and always wants to get to the right answer. She tends to see things in black and white, right and wrong, good and evil. It makes her confident and gives her a strong sense of justice to defend others, often to her detriment, but also makes her excitable, hasty and overly suspicious.

Because she was raised in America, she flubs a lot of the Japanese manners. She tries really hard to fit in but her over the top enthusiasm to learn more is only outdone by Usagi and sometimes a conversation with Shina feels more like an inquisition. The two are an unstoppable force of positivity; but while Usagi shirks her duties, Shina dives head first into it because she’s dedicated to saving her team. 

In a fight she’s very decisive, first to leap into the fray and defend her new friends but it's difficult to tell her to stop. She’s constantly investigating on her own which can leave her isolated and without the backup of Sailor Moon and the Inners to help her finish the fight. Her interrogation skills come in handy when she’s fighting the Galilean Senshi as she asks seemingly innocuous but revealing questions to help track down their civilian identities.  

Unfortunately Shina’s dreams are haunted by her memories of the past. They are shrouded in darkness, filled with darkness, horror and pain; the year she was trapped and tortured by Elder Bocuk as he tried to brainwash her. These memory flashes can happen any time and paralyse her with fear.

Lies, seeing people hurt, things that don’t have clear answers.  

:Hobbies:

 Shina loves the thrill of getting to the bottom of a riddle! Whether it’s watching a thriller on a Friday night with her friends, reading a murder mystery, brain teasers or her favourite true crime podcasts. 

She has also bonded with Makoto and together they’re working to bring back Usagi’s love of ice skating.

:Sexual Orientation:

Growing up in a loving home, Shina is open to all kinds of love. She hasn’t explored much but considers herself pansexual. 

:Background:

 Shina is the daughter of a criminal lawyer and a crime scene investigator. Watching her parents as she grew up, she knew their belief in justice was severely shaken by the American system and they resolved to return to Mikona’s home city of Tokyo. 

It took years of planning and preparation. Her family made sure she was fluent in Japanese and tried their best to understand their customs. Her father flew back and forth, setting up a private firm with a family friend. Her mother was quickly accepted by Roppungi Prefecture’s crime scene investigation unit. Finally, when Shina turned twelve, everything was ready.

Although she would miss her friends in America, there was something calling her to Japan.

:Family:

 Her mother Mikona is Japanese born, lured to America by television thinking it was a shining beacon of equality and justice. There she met Yuto, a man of Japanese-American blood during his work as a conscientious and fair-minded criminal lawyer. They both persevered and dedicated themselves to what they believed in but were often let down.

Because of their busy life, Shina spent much of her childhood in America at her Aunt Yume’s house with her cousins. She still frequently talks to them online and sends them newsletters. She’s dying to tell them she’s a Sailor Suited Guardian of Love and Justice, but Dia makes her keep it a secret.

:Friends:

When Shina first came to Juban Middle school, Usagi was the first to stick her nose it. The pair became fast friends, both busybodies with a love of new and interesting diversions. Shina also likes spending time with Ami, who is extremely knowledgeable and helps her put clues together. She and Makoto talk about the difficulties of being tall and share outfits. She doesn’t spend as much time with them because they go to different schools but while she shares her vivacious personality with Minako, she doesn’t get on with Rei as much because she’s so serious.

More than anything she wants to win back her teammates and get to know them in their civilian forms.

:Rivals:

 Shina will always stand up to bullies and she seems to have started a rivalry with a pair  of girls from Sutāgeito College for Girls. Mio and Naho are often loitering, shoplifting and bullying around Akihabara. She constantly stands up to them and tries to put them in their place even though they’re older than her. 

:Love Interests:

 Her feelings are complicated. Akiko was both an enemy and a friend, made more confusing because Akiko, as MtF trans, is trying to figure themselves out as well. But beneath it all, in spite of everything, they care deeply and will fight to protect the other.

 Sailor Europa, Guardian of the Winter Blizzard

:Guardian Starseed:

 Sailor Europa protects the starseed of Europa, one of Jupiter’s largest moons. During the Silver Millenium, it was known as a winter wonderland, a beautifully savage landscape of frozen oceans and towering frosted mountain peaks. Its Winter Palace, the home of the Europa Royal family shone like a diamond in the morning sun. 

:Realm of Influence:

Sailor Europa is influenced by the realm of winter, of snow, blizzards and wintery darkness.

:Awakening:

Barely a month after the defeat of Beryl, the world was resurrected and the Inners no longer had memories of their fights or friendships.

Usagi as her usual extroverted self drags Shina and Ami to the Crown Game Corner to waste the afternoon away. Ami beats the high score on Sailor V, Usagi scarfs a parfait and Shina wins a cool wand from the Claw Machine with a nifty snowflake on top. 

As they are leaving a deep voice starts to chant and a mist takes form, solidifying into an ancient crone with a blindfold across her eyes and thick shackles of solid ice around her wrists. She declares herself as Agubanba, devourer of the souls and Shina looks delicious! Her limp grey hair forms tendrils that snake towards the girl

Usagi unconsciously throws herself between them revealing her crescent moon symbol which fires into the air. It just so happens that Makoto is shopping for ingredients nearby, Minako is waiting for a bus and Rei is carrying bags filled with clothes. All Inners clutch their head as their symbols are revealed, and their memories. Shakily they fight, unprepared by the power of the Cahik whose hair lashes like vines, following their voices. Their attacks seem to slip off the ghost like black ice.

To Luna’s surprise, a symbol glows on Shina’s forehead as well, one she doesn’t recognise. She is rescued by Dia who intervenes. “This is my lost princess, the Sailor Guardian Sailor Europa and we need her now! Repeat after me, Europa Moon Power Makeup!”

Together, the Guardians attack, chopping off the hair as it comes at them until Europa shouts, “Europa Frozen Standstill!” The hag is frozen in place and Moon uses ‘Cutie Moon Rod’ to perform Moon Princess Halation, healing the ghost and Sailor Europa presses her wand to the shackles, “Europa Black Ice Shatter”. The hag, Agubanba, transforms into a young woman with sad eyes who gives a grateful smile before evaporating. In the vanishing mist the Sailor Guardians see four silhouettes, four in Sailor Guardian fuku and a cowled, bent figure in robes before they fade away too. “Soon you’ll be mine Princess Europa, soon I’ll snuff out the light!”

:Past Life:

Long ago during the Silver Millenium although many had been born to the royal families few had awakened into their powers as Guardians. The royalty of four largest planets of Jupiter known as the Galilean Covenant, had four such children. 

Born and raised together, Princess Kiran of Callisto, Princess Saki of Io, Prince Maple of Ganymede and Princess Frost of Europa.

They journeyed from moon to moon throughout their childhood to strengthen their bond and family alliances. One day on an excursion to the ancient Ice Crystal Ruins, all four and their teacher vanished without a trace.

Little did they know that while they were exploring, their teacher Elder Bocuk stumbled on a prison sealed beneath the dilapidated temple, and a corrupting voice whispered to him. The entire system relied on the sun, and these four children born with the strength of the seasons could be used to destroy it. A prophecy known as the Silence of Seasons…

For a year they were imprisoned, tortured and brainwashed until Dia, the majordomo of the Europa royal family was able to track them down and free Princess Frost.

Vowing to come back for her friends, she fled to the Moon Palace only to find it under attack by the Dark Kingdom. Already weakened, she succumbed to attack and was unable to warn her queen of the sleeping menace. 

The Silver Millenium fell and all its people destined to be reborn, including the Moon Princess, the Europa Princess, and the corrupted priest Eldar Bocuk. 

:Enemy:

Once the loyal head priest of Europa’s temples, Eldar Bocuk was one of the Galilean Guardians' many teachers. Once kind, friendly but forgetful, he thought it would be an excellent history lesson to see the Ice Crystal Ruins, once home to the royal family before a forgotten war. 

While there, Princess Frost ran off to explore and the other children scattered. While searching he accidentally set off a hidden passage leading him deeper into the dark where he came under the influence of an ancient enemy of Europa, sealed by its great magic. 

:Guardian Animal:

Dia was an advisor to the Europa royal family, and her dedication discovered Bocuk’s lair. She was able to free her Princess, but not in time. Revived in modern day, she pledges herself to Sailor Europa to help her find and free her friends and stop the Silence of Seasons.

She is an elegant lilac ragdoll cat, loving but very protective of her change. If you side-eye her princess she will make you regret the day you were born. Her work is cut out for her as she constantly has to follow Shina as she plays detective to find her friends. She’s a little fussy with manners and spends a lot of time grooming to look her best.

She lost Princess Europa once, and will never let anyone hurt her again.

:Allies/Team Mates:

Akiko Tsukimi aka Prince Maple aka Sailor Ganymede aka the Fall GuardianThe two were a pair, tall and athletic Princess Frost and short and lithe Prince Maple, together they were inseparable. When the two other princesses teased him for being a worry wart, it was Princess Frost who defended him. She had the grand ideas, but it was often his job to plan them to fruition with a detailed and strategic mind. 

As the corrupted Dark Sailor Ganymede, Elder Bocuk thought that using her best friend would be the easiest way to convince Princess Frost to his side. As an enemy she proved cautious and used traps to lure Sailor Europa away from the others to try and take her Effigy, the Wand of Europa.

Sailor Europa is able to break Sailor Ganymede’s brainwashing by finding a photograph of her winning the Biggest Pumpkin ribbon at last year’s Harvest Festival with her family. Together they must win back her Effigy, the Pentacle of Ganymede.

Momoka Harukaze aka Princess Kiran aka Sailor Io aka the Spring GuardianOften seen in the company of Princess Saki, she was a dreamy and ditzy Princess who always followed what others were doing.

As corrupted Dark Sailor Io, Elder Bocuk was constantly frustrated by this minion going off on tangents or her elaborate plans. Finding this Sailor was actually the hardest part for Sailor Europa because she would wander away from fights, but she was able to restore her memories of being Momoka with her oshibana collection, specifically a pink peony she pressed with her sister before she went to college.

Less driven, Sailor Europa does all the hard work to help Io regain her Effigy, the Cup of Io.

Chinatsu Akino aka Princess Saki aka Sailor Callisto aka the Summer Guardian

Once Princess Saki, she and Princess Frost were often at odds. She was dedicated to her studies and what it took to be a Queen, coming off as bossy and domineering, her temper steaming over time and boiling over like a kettle. 

She is the last and most difficult of Elder Bocuk’s warriors because she’s convinced that she and Princess Frost were rivals. She was jealous because in spite of her hard work, people followed Princess Frost’s natural charisma. The priest exaggerated their arguments, and the times they got in trouble with their parents. Dark Sailor Callisto believes it’s Princess Frost’s fault they were kidnapped because she wandered away from the teacher and is vicious in her attacks, not hesitating to use her dagger. It's sharing their memories of the dark days in the priest’s prison, and the bright days of the Silver Millenium that breaks through to her.

 Proud of her heritage, Sailor Callisto is determined to track down her Effigy, the Sword Callisto. 

:Henshin Token:

Europa Crystal Wand. In its henshin form it has a short, silvery slender rod topped by flowing green ribbons and silver beads and a translucent glass snowflake and her symbol at the centre. In a fight the rod extends to arm length, still light with trailing ribbons and beads and topped by a large snowflake shaped crystal. As Sailor Europa wields it it leaves a frosty, glittering snow trail in its wake.

:Henshin Sequence:

Shina thrusts her wand into the air and shouts “Europa Moon Power, Makeup!” 

As she does the wand shines with the colours of the aurora and a harsh wind blows a wind driven flurry around her body with complicated, individual snowflakes dancing around her. The wind twines around her arm, freezing it in crystal and erupting in shining shards to reveal her gloves, the same with her strapped heels. The blizzards storm around her waist to form her flowing pleated skirt and her bows. Finally as she tilts her head up, snowflake lands on her forehead, glowing and forming her symbol before crystallising into her tiara.

Finally the Winter Guardian, Sailor Europa stands with her arm and her wand held over her head and her other arm outstretched, ready to fight.

:Guardian Fuku:

Sailor Europa’s fuku is almost identical to the Sol fuku except instead of the sleeve rolls the Galilean senshi are identified by their short flutter sleeves trimmed in beaded embroidery. Her primary colour is a minty aquamarine green adorning her collar, choker and skirt while her bows are a bright orchid purple.

Her fuku is made distinctive by dangling glass snowflake earrings and double strapped over her ankle with a cute bow on the outside.

:Starseed Talisman:

 As Sailor Europa grows in strength her Europa Wand transforms into Borealis Ballista. It is a bright and glossy green crossbow, erupting with icy crystals that refract with the lights of the aurora; however instead of firing bolts, it fires star shaped blades that whirl at the enemy like throwing stars.

:Attacks:

Frostbite Shock

A raises her wand, as it does it transforms into its active mode. She spins on her toes winding up the wind and then throws her arm at the enemy sending a freezing gust of wind, cutting like knives.

Europa Frozen Standstill

Using her wand, she stretches out and presses the tip of her wand to the earth and the ground sending out a freezing mirror like floor of ice for enemies to slip and slide but also the ice curls around their feet, climbing up and trapping the enemy like a statue of ice.  

Blinding Ice Blizzard

Growing in skill, she doesn’t need her wand. Moving her arms in a complicated swirling motion until both are above her head, she conjures vicious icicles above her head and sends them raining down on the enemy.

Europa Black Ice Shatter

Less an attack, but only Sailor Europa can break the Black Ice Shackles around the enslaved spirits. Once they have been healed by the Moon Wand, the Wand of Europa can shatter their spell.
