#rid15 Wildbreak

Plenty of people talk about, and make art of, the kobd+Wildbreak family concept. Sometimes even tossing in the other stunticons for good measure.

However while I've found plenty of the above I've found less featuring how the kobd reacts to Wildbreaks, for lack of a better term, friendship with Dragstrip.

Like regardless of how you take their relationship one thing I think we should agree on is that Dragstrip is Knockouts absolute WORST nightmare.

He's crude, he's rude, and I guarantee he cusses. Sure he didn't get to cuss in rid15 but you can't tell me he doesn't have the personality of someone who gets into absolutely filthy cussing rants when pushed over the edge.

Point is I can just imagine Wildbreak eagerly telling Knockout that he's made a bestest buddy best friend and Knockout is all "Aww that's sweet. Who is it?" and Wildbreak points out Dragstrip who happens to be looking particularly scrungly at the time. Slam cut to Wildbreak looking thrilled and Knockout looking horrified.

What are sparklings? Are they like robot babies?

YES!

They are a mostly fan concept however. Hasbro has been cowards and unfortunately haven't realized how good an idea it is.

Mostly cuz that opens the floodgates of robot pregnancy I assume.

With that said, IDW comics does touch on the concept as far as I understand, regarding protoforms where they start out like lil marshmallows, then grow into their basic robot forms.

I think that protoform is a scraplet, but I'm not terribly familiar with IDW continuity so take that with a grain of salt.

In TFA, Sari can technically count as one.

Prof. Sumdac found her as a lil protoform that somehow ended up in his lab and after touching her, she somehow absorbed his DNA and became humanlike.

We probably would have GOTTEN MORE INFO IN SEASON 4 ABOUT HER ORIGINS BUT WE DIDN'T GET SEASON 4!!

Personally, I love the idea that they start off as lil squishy marshmallow blobs, developing arms n legs later on as they develop, along with more rigid structures.

And I think sparklings could be one of the reasons why Cybertronian altforms' tend to have this conveniently open space in them that you can access. They can get carried around like how marsupial do

Also we can't forget the biggest contribution to Sparkling Ideas, the KOBD child - Wildbreak.

He had so many similar traits to the gay cat husbands that fans just took the idea he was their kid and RAN.

I mean that post with Breakdown, I made fast sketch of alternate universe where BD never died and had a son with KO, and this orange face could be their baby.

But god damn that would be soooooo cool, imagine...

Breakdown and KO made together a sparkling, that they needed to leave when he was still a little protoform and he was living alone.

After many years he joined those fuckers from 4s and neither Sideswpie nor him has any awarness about the fact that they are brothers--- That would be SOOO DRAMATIC I LOVE IT >:DDD let them suffer

I mean I've played with the idea for my Red Guys Live AU that Moony's watching her niblings because the nemesis isn't exactly the best place for youngsters who haven't even reached their 2nd frame upgrade.

And i have this warm up design that could pass as a Jetracer Kid for my TFA stuff

Though most of the time I lean more towards the "transformers cannot reproduce on there own/are created via the all spark and/or vector sigma" canon because I think that worldbuilding's more interesting.

I made an AU/Headcannon about KO, BD, WB, SS, MM and the Stunticons.

Breakdown is a Stunticon and Knockout never liked it, because of Breakdown's friends (the old Stunticon team and also an OC I created). The reason Knockout doesn't like them is that the Stunticons took Breakdown to be a bad Decepticons. Knockout doesn't have a Decepticon insignia, nor does Breakdown, and the Stunticons made him use an insignia; Starscream and Megatron saw that Breakdown and Knockout failed their missions a lot, so they decided to separate the two. Breakdown started doing missions with DeadEnd and Dragstrip's brother, and Knockout with Starscream and other bots; When Knockout had Wildbreak he swore on his life that Wildbreak would not be a Stunticon, and Breakdown was upset about this, as he himself was a Stunticon and wanted his Sparkling to be one too; After a while the two went on missions together again, and one day they disappeared, Wildbreak was about 6 years old (in human age) when this happened. Knockout and Breakdown knew they could gone at any moment, as the two were in a war, so they chose two bots to take care of Wildbreak if they were gone. Knockout chose Starscream and Breakdown chose Motormaster, which made Knockout frustrated, but it was his partner's choice so he just accepted it. With the disappearance of Knockout and Breakdown, the legacy of Starscream and Motormaster's parents, who didn't like each other very much. They sometimes fought, teased each other, argued, but they were sometimes buddies. When they went to take care of Wildbreak it was a mess because Motormaster didn't want to take care of Wildbreak and Starscream was upset and begged Motormaster to help him. Motormaster only changed his mind after he once found Starscream crying in hiding, as he felt overwhelmed and unable to take care of Wildbreak alone; Starscream and Motormaster started getting closer after Wildbreak, much to Megatron's displeasure, as he was not liking this closeness between the two. They took care of Wildbreak until he was about 7 years old, it seems like a short time, but it was actually a long time; Starscream and Motormaster sneaked around and did things in places where cameras couldn't reach them, as they knew Megatron wouldn't like it. They didn't do anything much, just exchange hugs and compliments.

The idea of Breakdown coming back to life after the war (somehow) combined with the idea of Wildbreak being the KOBD lovechild is a concept I shall always always love.

Whether its with Wildbreak as a cute little sparkling or as a teenager or an adult I dont care. Just Breakdown learning he apparently has a kid and how he reacts to knowing hes a dad no is something I absolutely adore.

Let's start off with my all time favorite!

Strongarm

What do I like about her? hmm... EVERYTHING!

From her strong and buff physique (it's nice to see more frame variants in femmes, WE NEED THEM HASBRO!), her boundless energy, to her impressive memorization of protocols and their numbers. A tough, but smart cookie.

 I’m not sure about you guys, but I’ll spend HOURS listening to her just rambling about regulations on a car ride while nodding like an idiot. Gosh, I’m starting to fall for her…

Fixit

Fixit, Fixit, Fixit, my sweet wholesome minicon bean!

Adorable dude, a cheery character that I adored when seeing him on screen. Had a chuckle when he glitched out when he was about to say certain words in dyes- mics- rhymes! Regardless, dude helped his team out in every way. He’s the team’s technician and repairman, basically the backbone, even pulling out profiles of the Alchemor’s escapees via ship’s computers. 

I remember one episode where my dude is brawling a shady manager of an ex-champion (while I cheered on at 3 am) or in another episode where my dude’s original programming kicked in and turned into a terminator, but a prison guard… it doesn’t really help that there's about 100+ minicons like him (tbh I don’t know the total numbers)… do what you will with this information…

Thunderhoof

The mafia boss, angry moose on the loose, boss... babe

Bastard reminded me of those stereotypical noir film mafia bosses (it doesn’t really help that there’s him eating pizza in an official art piece… help…), and I'm not wrong. Plus his appearance and voice is… enamored to say the least…

Bro sounds pissed and will be pissed if something doesn’t go in his way, or someone doing stupid shit. Come on, this huge antler jockey is a freaking crime boss, so of course why wouldn’t he be pissed? He wouldn’t stop until he got what he wants, whether going back to cybertron, leadership, or objects of interest (and shredding someone to pieces, I’m talking about you, Clampdown! You sniveling snitch!).

Jetstorm & Slipstream

My Sweet Bun 1 & Sweet Bun 2, I love you both to death!

Both him and Slipstream are freaking cute (look me straight in the eye and tell me otherwise), and both are nearly the same height as a grown man (source? A screenshot I took for references in future digital drawings).

Jetstorm is a bit more creative than Slipstream and Drift combined, but a bit as well impulsive (which can lead him to trouble with Drift). Overall, he and other Minicons are adorable and if they committed crimes, I'll excuse them.

I’m going to repeat what I said about Drift’s minicons earlier, both are freaking adorable! Unlike Jetstorm, Slipstream is more chill and prefers to follow his master’s instructions. Despite the contrasting personalities, these two are a force to be trifled with via teamwork! Mess with one, get wrecked by the other! Perish!

Wildbreak

Gotta love the dude, timid but nice. Before ever seeing on screen, I read some posts that headcanoned him as the sparkling of Knockout and Breakdown. After that, I can see why. Cute tho!

At any dang episode I’m watching, the scheming wolf always makes me smile as if I’m happy to see him! (well duh, I am!) 

He knows how to capture attention with that soft, yet alluring charismatic voice, offering compliments, and seems nice… except that shit he’s doing is an illusion, and will stab you in the back if there’s an opportunity! Brother nearly had me in the first half, not gonna lie. This dude knows how to wrap people in his claw, or if that fails, time to off them in the name of his future empire!

Oh my god… Nightra is something…

How did she and Strongarm become friends? Both are competitive, yet polar opposites of each other. Don’t get me wrong, I like her as well, so playful, carefree, and mischievous (even that leads her to trouble and ultimately her going rogue).

Aside from her similar buffy appearance like Strongarm (omgistarttofallforbuffywomen), her voice is… soothing to hear, yet not AND IT MADE ME BLUSH!!! THEY PICKED A GOOD VA FOR THE JOB! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I had to go to dreamland (lalalalalalala)

Shadowraker

Another attractive mf, and bastard (derogatory)

Fucker has good aesthetics (color wise and design), if charsmatic is a aroma, it’s him with a dark aura. Twisting innocent bots into their rotten former shells, yeah this is what this dude does after his ‘shadows’ brought in the stolen goods in exchange for shelter and guidance. Mmm, moral corruption…

I like you Shadowmaru-err Shadowraker, but I don’t like you at the same time. I remember when you kidnapped my fave minicons and promised that you would punish them for betraying you! (glad you got boxed on the pede, ya jerk!) Glad karma bit you in the ass!

this is totally not a trick to get you to give me more content about the wildbreak timefall au

KAJSKANSKSJ ok? Must because you’re right and I haven’t said anything about Wildreak’s timefall idea in a while

But one thing first: it isn’t an au, it is canon in the Life of Rescue Bots Au, but happens like several time later, later from when the same time the Terrans became adults (remembering the story at Earthspark happens at the same time as TFRB season 3 in my au)

Wildbreak, as you may remember was a sparkling, a normal one, made from Breakdown’s, Chase’s and KO’s spark, but indeed I was trying to change a bit his backstory since the last time, and to make the problem not entirely because of one person, but a combination of factors that led to Wildbreak to be unsupervised the day he dissapeared

First thing first: there’s no academy and there’s no cybertron because it just got sick as hell, if you want Cybertron back you have The 13 Primes Au and the Outlier Au (which at this point is maybe the best name I can get for it :v); the cadets we see at RBA are just sparklings collected from the vacuum of space (kind of a say, I’m not talking seriously) like Whirl, Wedge and Hoist, or the characters’ kids like Hot Shot and Medix, but the five of them along with other ocs of mine are the actual cadets of the actual rescue team, Whirl for Chase, Hot Shot for Heatwave, Wedge for Bee (became rescue bot after finally staying on griffin rock), Hoist for Boulder and Medix for Blades (the rest of the ocs are under judgement and even when they train together sometimes, they’re usually separated, training under their own specializations with their own rescue member), while the humans that will partner with the cadets train under the human side’s wing (yes, Kade, Dani, Graham and Cody also have their own students, Charlie is retired), same happened with the terrans; and yes, they all work separatedely, Heatwave, Kade, Graham and Boulder stayed on Griffin Rock and also Jawbreaker moved there; Chase, Breakdown and Knock Out (who are not formally rescue bots but BD became police officer like Chase and KO’s still medbot) went to mainland with Nightshade, and Blades, Dani and Bee are in Faxian (the rest of the terrans are by their sides and later after the separation, like, later, the actual cadets were put on the equation’s plot)

And as I said Wildbreak’s time shit is a compilation of coincidences and things that went wrong, like, EXTREMELY WRONG:

Chase and Breakdown had a strange new case regarding this weird scientist-businesswoman, they really wanted to stop her mostly because they already were familiar with Madelyn and Morocco but this was completely different

KO had to move on for a whole week because Sideswipe (again) was in trouble and KO was the nearest medbot on the area

With the three of them occupied, Chase didn’t had another but to leave Wildbreak on Griffin Rock with Heatwave and his cousins, same to Quickcall (the other threesome’ older sparkling, remember Wildbreak is a baby) and Whirl

Signals of something weird near Griffin Rock’s coast made the Team suspect a lot, so, they went to pay a look, leaving the sparklings behind on the station

Hot Shot and Soil (BoulWave’s other sparkling) wanted to play to kill boredom with some of Boulder’s tools but Hot Shot left something turned on and almost started a fire, making both twins, Quickcall, Whirl and Hoist start action and take care of it

They took care of it quickly but because Wildbreak was still too young, he got scared and went off, finding himself in the tunnels and getting lost by accident, finding the basement of things that are better to forget, not just hearing weird sounds but finding the whole situation at the coast was just a smokescreen for suspicious people to get inside the place with no worries of the rescue team around

Wildbreak started to cry and scream, which led the cadets attention, they went off to search the kid but he was already immobilized by the suspicious people, making Quickcall lost some wires and attack without thinking to protect his baby brother, the other cadets tried to protect with what they knew but accidentally they lost track of another man who was trying to hack the machine

Hot Shot on the try to stop the man at the machine, attacked him, but didn’t figured out first how close of the turn on bottom they were

The Machine started to suck out like crazy, all of them managed to get stuck into something… all except Wildbreak. Wildbreak was suck out by the machine and Quickcall couldn’t reach him in time

The machine was so out of control one of the men reached to turn it off and succeed, at which the cadets reacted to take him out, but none of them didn’t knew how it worked, not noticing the portal was off but not the machine, managing to put a random date on one of the predetermined places, then, the machine turned off

Whirl and Hoist were made during the war, they didn’t had any cybertronian speech program installed, they had human languages and some cybertronian languages but not the universal cybertronian, Hot Shot and Soil never learned properly because they never paid attention to that class and preferred human languages because they were easier, and Quickcall was too worried with the machine to notice what did the place or the date said before turning off finally

And that’s how Wildbreak got lost in space…

Three days later after the accident, Breakdown would notice the strange coincidence of the new stunticon Wildbreak not just by the colors but by a finial ring WB’s partner, Dragstrip, had on the moment, and after some misunderstandings, Wildbreak would finally get home with his family… after Dragstrip and the other stunticons convinced him, they needed the ride because the rescue bots had something they needed. Stunticons groups, like wreckers, dissolved and started travelling as mercenaries through the galaxy, and Wildbreak and his group were not different

Finally, at the end of everything, Wildbreak would sacrifice himself to save both his parents and his stunticon’s brothers, again involving the time machine, and at this point is were things get shitty to me because I CAN’T FUCKING DECIDE if to make WB again a baby by pure convenience like the first time or to make him survive still as adult and just leave the stunticons to stay on Earth with his family

Whatever final I’ll take, Dragstrip would return the finial ring, both as goodbye and as a gift for WB

I sincerely want to make him a baby again but that just sounds so fucking stupid- like, it sound weird to me, but it CAN work and has a BIG window to so much possibilities involving Wildbreak growing up with the others like normally, that’s why I can’t decide

But I don’t want to make it a separate au because at the end of the day, WB was still a stunticon on tf rid15 and had a life before we as fandom thought it would be funny to make him KOBD’s fanchild, and I want to keep that, but I’m still struggling with the final

And now, fun facts:

Chase almost killed Heatwave when he told him what happened with WB, like, literally, he almost throws himself if it wasn’t for BD and Boulder

The final slap was from Knock Out who immediately knew the new, he forgot about Sideswipe and went, and literally the first thing he did was give Heatwave a punch on the face, and was about to give Boulder one too but Blades stop him first

Quickcall still blames himself for letting WB go so easily, same does Hot Shot, because he was who accidentally turned on the machine when fighthing

Of the same way as their parents, Quickcall almost fights with Hot Shot when he figured out Hot Shot turned on the machine by accident, and Quickcall could almost won if it wasn’t for the other cadets, until Quickcall, blinded by rage, was about to shoot at Hot Shot, but Mo (who is a rescue worker human apprentice btw) stopped them with her shield and convinced them to stop or she would tell the bots about this (and it wasn’t exactly a shoot because Quickcall doesn’t have real weapons but tools, but it could easily killed Hot Shot with enough force)

The first ones to notice stunticon activity were Sideswipe, Grimlock and Strongarm, who are still a team even after Bee decided to retire as their captain, leaving Strongarm on the command, Fix-it, who retired from being a prison-minicon, is also on the team, same Blurr, and the junkyard is still their basement, nonetheless, they didn’t noticed the lots of similarities between Chase’s sparkling and the stunticon despite Strongarm and Blurr already knew the kid, mostly because they didn’t knew he disappeared until the day BD found him again

None of them informed Bee or Chase, they acted by themselves (and had the right to do so) but called them when they figured out stunticons were searching for something important and that they maybe needed help

Salvage, despite being trained, didn’t dedicated to be rescue bot like Blurr, he instead became researcher with Twitch at another part of mainland, and Salvage and Twitch never knew about the situation until they went to visit Griffin Rock for holidays and found the time machine was destroyed (and if I chose the final where WB is an adult, until they notice WB is a adult)

Nightshade became captain of the operation Chase and BD were managing while they were off of it, but thankfully they returned quick to it, not because Nightshade was bad at it but because they were inexperienced and nervous, but everything was on place when they returned

Jawbreaker is with Frankie the lead scientist of Griffin Rock, so, yes they knew since the beginning , and even made theories together about WB’s condition

Robbie is at his own thing on Mainland but Mo decided to became part of the rescue program inspired by her mom

And I think that’s all by now :v, any question or suggestion, I’m on it

FLUFF HEADCANONS ABOUT WILDBREAK/STARSTREAK !!

Starstreak's nicknames for Wildbreak are "sweetspark" and "Breaky." Other nicknames are supposed to be very cute and endearing.

Wildbreak's nicknames are actually very casual BUT SO SINCERE- He calls him, "My guy" and "Streaks"

They are a touchy-feely type of couple, lots of hand holding, hugs from behind, but - Starstreak has a PDA ick, so it's only when they are alone or in their private quarters.

Astrology: Starstreak would be a Capricorn, Wildbreak is a Pisces.

Starstreak is such a blushy boi around him. Usually, he's much more composed and above it all. Wildbreak doesn't have to do much but slip in tiny compliments about how "cute he is" when he's being a poindexter.

They live in completely separate worlds, in many different ways, Starstreak feels that distance, but with Wildbreak's face value approach, it allows for Streak to be more comfortable in their circumstances. If Wildbreak doesn't mind it, then neither should he.

Starstreak believes no one can be trusted, and befriending anyone comes with complications. However, Wildbreak is the most sincere bot ever made, and the fact he's a Decepticon makes Starstreak believe they were similar.

It's a no-brainer that Wildbreak is pretty cowardly and dents easily, so Starstreak tries to use his position to give him more missions without conflicts, like surveying and tracking. Which he appreciates 🙏

Streaks has never had anyone give him attention that wasn't threatening or used for ulterior motives, so Wildbreak gives him the time of day just for the purpose of being nice

Streak was the first to fall, as the being nice was getting to him. It's not like he didn't notice Wildbreak was the most attractive, and as young as him, and is also running with the wrong crowd- there was a lot that drew them together.

Wildbreak is not the brightest and that is fine with Streaks as he's not judgmental at all for that. The only thing he judges WB on is his follower mentality. "Quit jumping off bridges just because all the other Stunticons are!" "I panicked!"

It's cute that WB has to be the one to introduce a lot of the Cybertronian culture to Streaks. Whereas, Streaks is showing him around Earth in their holoforms! (Which is also funny cause Streaks still doesnt know much about human stuff so they are both pretty clueless in that regard xD)

WB likes how "powerful" Starstreak looks when he's working. There's a different vibe and demeanor about him when he's serious, he won't lie - it's pretty hot.

Starstreak likes that WB isn't really a boy scout - he chose the Decepticons cause he likes running with the Stunticons, gang life, and being a hazard on the roads. Streak sees the appeal in a cinnamon roll that treats him very well but is a bad boy in the streets. its pretty hot-

I believe in the KOBD theory about Wildbreak being their kid, and I also like to think that Streaks doesn't care about respecting his parents- He's a little too haughty to give any attention to Knock Out's jabs.
