Lades and Gatemen, boys and girls, For next October I will be weighting the Purple crown new vessel, Star Moon the Last Night Witch in Cult of the Lamb The Last Night Witch.

A fan made story that takes place after the events of Cult of the Lamb second run.

( Back Story ) Star was sentients to be sacrofist by an unknown cult that massacred all of the night witch's except for one ( simulator but deferent to lambs ) when the richole is almost compelled she was given an second chance by an unknown goddess. Now she must serve the one with the red crown and help stop the cult that nearly tanked her life.

( Sorry that I have this made way before October it is just that I have an vary bad habit of drawing things down and not posting them striate off the bat )

Someone has probably made a post like this already but I'm doing it anyway—

Whenever people compare Nicole and Richard to Homer and Marge, it makes me wonder if they've watched either show. It's true that they might take influence from Homer and Marge considering they're the blueprint for sitcom couples (unless you count the Flintstones, but that's not relevant to this post), but everything else about them is radically different.

I've already stated on my Simpsons blog that Homer and Marge is a NO-TP of mine (which is rare for me). That's probably going to bias this post, so be warned.

It's not even a case of seasonal rot, Homer has been scummy since the start (as seen here) and it makes my skin crawl when people act like they're Relationship Goals. I can't go into everything because this post would turn into a college thesis paper and contain a lot of triggering things, so I'm not going to go into depth. I'll link some posts in case you want to delve deeper, but be warned.

This isn't my Simpsons blog and I'm starting to go on a tangent, so let me get to the actual point. These are the main differences I can think of:

Power balance

This is the most obvious difference imo. Homer might be lazy, but he's also the breadwinner of the house and Marge is reliant on him for stability. It's true that there are many episodes about Marge getting a job, but Status Quo is God and she always goes back to being dependent on Homer.

Meanwhile, Nicole is the breadwinner of her family. Richard destroyed the fabric of reality the last time he got a job and even before that was definitively proven, Nicole didn't like the idea of Richard having a job. She likes being the one in control (likely because her parents were so controlling). Even then, Richard still contributes in his own way. The house went into chaos when he went on strike; he knows how to control the kids' chaotic energy with his own unconventional methods.

Devotion

Homer and Marge both have wandering eyes—despite not going all the way, they still have doubts about their relationship. Marge even says in the movie she doesn't have any more excuses for Homer's nonsense. She taped over their wedding video for goodness sake! Of course, they get back together because Status Quo is God.

Meanwhile, Richard and Nicole are devoted to one another. Richard views Nicole highly and thinks she's out of his league. Nicole might get irritated with Richard sometimes, but she doesn't regret getting into a relationship with him.

Constructiveness

This sort of fits in with "power balance", though I found it worthy of being its own category.

Marge had a lot of potential before she met Homer, but he led her on the wrong path and kept her from realizing that potential. Homer is sometimes intimidated when Marge gains some semblance of autonomy, sometimes going as far as to sabotage her attempts of having a life outside of the home. Marge is supportive to Homer, but it seems pretty one sided. Marge builds Homer up while he weighs her down.

Nicole would have been successful with or without Richard, though her mental health would be worse without him to balance her out. Her parents had a destructive way of raising her, her self esteem is built off of being the best and she beats herself up whenever she falls short. When Nicole met Richard, he told her she was already an amazing person and shouldn't have to put so much pressure on herself to be perfect. In return, Nicole gave Richard her approval. Richard makes sure to build Nicole up and she drives him to better himself.

I'm probably missing out on a lot of stuff, but this post is already pretty long and I think I at least got enough across to prove my point.
