Hey! A few years ago I heard from Richie Rouge through Facebook, and we became friends. His name is James Lackey and he's living in Fremont, Nebraska. If you'd like to get some info on where some of the guys are at now I suggest you look him up on Facebook. He's very friendly and all too willing to talk about his IPW days. Cross guild poly idea -

Soulmate aus but with a mild twist-

Soulmate marks can be of any variety - friends, family, whatever. The only main component is a level of love and regard and connectedness. The only was for a mark to be visible is for there to be skin to skin contact, and wherever that touch happens, a bloom of ink swirls into being, basically like a tattoo explaining the connection and relationship in some way.

Buggy has a few soulmates.

He has a swirl of bloodied roses and daisies on his forearm framed by swords and daggers, both battered, damaged and bloody but still pressing together , from Shanks specifically.

He has others as well - one for Roger, Rouge, Rayleigh, all three with iotas from the others given their own bonds.

After Roger's execution, Buggy takes to wearing layers and gloves religiously - soul bonds bring more pain than anything else, he has determined.

((He does get absolutely PISSED when it turns out he has a platonic bond to Luffy during the Impel Down situation, but that's less important)).

Crocodile and Mihawk inevitably learn the truth, though ironically well after tempers have settled and equilibrium is reached with the Guild - Crocodile's penchant for his hook and Mihawk's for his blades wound up circumventing any direct contact.

Once hearts have connected, skin touches skin, once ink has bloomed and decisions made, there is a... minor event to plan for.

While propriety as pirates is laughable to most, there are codes and decorum even then. And that does include an addendum for meeting the mates of a mate.

It can be by letter - and that is initially how they all attempted to do so.

It just so happens that everyone has someone (or, in Buggy's case, multiple someones) who find letters to be lackluster and much prefer a face to face.

This is a very long winded way of saying Cross Guild Poly, Soulmate Identifying Marks AU, and a heavy dose of Sillies, Shenanigans, etc due to expectations to Meet The Family.

And their family tree is more akin to a tangle of yarn than anything straight forward lol.

This is a very interesting concept, I do want to know about that because do some tattoos disappear or change if that soulmate whether family, friend, or lover dies? If you fall out of love or not friends or family anymore, do tattoos change or disappear?

Anyway, back on topic, I love those designs you thought up! Does he have tattoos with some of his crew? I think he would, at least with Cabaji and Mohji, probably Richie, Alvida, and Galdino as well. Yeah, Buggy totally would freak out when he realizes that he has a platonic bond with Luffy. I wonder what that tattoo looks like.

So once someone gets romantic soulmate(s) they need to meet the family or at least tell family about the romantic soulmate(s)? Ooooo boy, meeting of that family will be… Yeah, that’s going to be chaotic at best. I love it, Buggy probably freaking out and worrying for all the right reasons.

What I think the DnD characters of the NPMD crew would be.

Peter: High Elf Alchemist Artificer. His specialty is chemistry so a sub class all about making elixirs is right up his alley.

Ruth: Tiefling Lore Bard. I don't think this needs much explanation in you know what the stereotypical bard is like.

Richie: Aarakocra Arcane Trickster Rouge. First he's Zeek the Fighting Night Hawk, second he loves to sneak attack and picture it like one of those anime finisher moves and third he definitely flavors all his spells like Naruto or Demon Slayer techniques

Steph: Half Elf Shadow Magic Sorcerer. She's playing this game to let loose her frustration and daddy issues by blasting bad guys with fireball , so a class that can let her do that and has a sub class that can let her be edgy and summon a dog sound good to her.

Grace: Human Devotion Paladin. Again I don't think I need to explain this one, but I can also see Oath Breaker or Great Old One Warlock if it's post NPMD.

Would this be a balance party? Probably not, but I don't care.

[“Mainstream feminism too often puts ‘police violence’ and ‘male violence against women’ into different conceptual categories – if, indeed, it considers police violence to be a topic of feminist concern at all. This is especially the case for the violence that is ‘normalised’ as part of policing: arrests, most obviously, but also violations such as intimate searches, and harassment such as stop-and-frisk. The result is that police violence gets left out of mainstream feminist anti-violence work. However, when we think of police violence not only as state violence but also (often) as male violence against women, the criminalisation of prostitution comes into focus in a new way: as a key driver of male violence against women.

The infrastructure of criminalisation saturates our political consciousness. It is the bobby on the beat, the jail on the Monopoly board, the crime-drama TV show (with its inevitable murdered prostitute), the car-chase footage on the news. In this saturation, such images are rendered mundane, sidelining questions of the legitimacy or purpose of these modes of control. As Angela Davis writes, the prison ‘is one of the most important features of our image environment’, yet it

functions ideologically as an abstract site into which undesirables are deposited, relieving us of the responsibility of thinking about the real issues afflicting those communities from which prisoners are drawn in such disproportionate numbers. This is the ideological work that the prison performs – it relieves us of the responsibility of seriously engaging with the problems of our society, especially those produced by racism and, increasingly, global capitalism.

Theorist Beth Richie uses the term prison nation to mean a ‘broad notion of using the arm of the law to control people, especially disadvantaged people and people from disadvantaged communities’. Her term encompasses not only the physical infrastructure of prisons and jails, but also ‘surveillance, policing, detention, probation, harsh restrictions on child guardianship … and other strategies of isolation and disposal’.

Perhaps the key trick of the prison nation is ‘now you see it, now you don’t’. Prison vanishes people; criminalisation renders those same people hyper-visible. The deeply racialised, anti-Black figure of the Pimp looms large as the perpetrator of ‘slavery’ – while the prison system itself, one of the key material legacies of chattel slavery in the Americas, is filled with ever more Black inmates.

Through the intensifying militarisation of police departments, there is a direct link between the foreign wars at the frontiers of the contemporary American empire and the hyper-carceral state at home. As the New Yorker reports, since the 1990s, ‘local governments have received approximately thirty-four billion dollars in grants from the Department of Homeland Security to buy their own military equipment … That brings the total [spent by American police departments on military equipment] to thirty-nine billion dollars – more than the entire defense budget of Germany.’ The same trend is visible even in the histories of policing; early-twentieth-century American policing drew on the US Army’s experience imposing brutal colonial rule in the Philippines, just as UK policing explicitly drew on tactics developed by the British Army in subduing colonised populations.

Communities feel the police are an occupying army; the police feel themselves to be an occupying army, and the police respond to the people they encounter with the hostility that engenders. Some of the most powerful photography emerging from the ongoing fight for Black lives in the US speaks to the visual dimension of this: an iconic photograph taken in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, shows Ieshia Evans, a young Black woman in a summer dress, calmly facing down two oncoming police officers in full body-armour. Meanwhile, the overlapping military and prison industrial complexes drain hundreds of billions of dollars from the American public purse, outfitting the police who rushed Ieshia in futuristic ‘protective’ armour – alongside cuts to Social Security, healthcare, and education, and catastrophic divestment from Black communities.”]

Richie distantly notices her vision start swimming when she stares down at the traces of pink lipstick on the silicone and Eddie on her knees between her legs. Richie pushes Eddie’s bangs out of her face and hears her hum when she swallows down around the strap. 

“I swear to god I can fucking feel it,” Richie’s voice shakes when she says it and she brushes through Eddie’s hair with her fingers again.

Eddie rolls her eyes and pulls off. Her lipstick is smeared around her mouth and a thin string of spit settles on her chin, “You cannot fucking feel it, Richie.”

Richie rubs a thumb over Eddie’s cheekbone and Eddie nuzzles into her palm, sighing gently. She looks up at Richie through her lashes, mascara starting to flake under her eyes. Prettiest girl in the world, Richie thinks. If she said as much out loud, Eddie would call her gay and keep rubbing herself against Richie like a neglected house cat anyway. Instead, she opts for trailing her thumb across Eddie’s face and over her lips. Eddie’s mouth parts, almost instinctively. 

Eddie’s not the trained one, Richie is. In some Pavlovian response to being hopelessly in love with Eddie, Richie would stop time and space to do whatever Eddie wanted. This includes letting her show off her skills as the self-proclaimed Silicone Throat Goat when Richie’s supposed to be working. 

Richie presses the pad of her thumb into Eddie’s lipstick, pushing it past her lip line and well past the corners of her mouth. She feels a heat settle in her stomach at the way Eddie’s eyes flutter shut and the sigh against the palm of her hand. For a fucking germaphobe, Eddie loves being messy. She’s covered in spit, she's got rouge across her face, and she’s shifting around on her knees, grinding against nothing getting off on sucking at the strap-on. 

Richie pushes her thumb past Eddie’s lips into her mouth and nearly buckles at the knees at the way Eddie’s tongue immediately wraps around the digit. It’s hot and wet inside her mouth and when Richie presses down on Eddie’s tongue, she can feel the slick rush of spit and the hum from her whimpering on her skin. Richie almost wishes she really did have a dick just to satiate Eddie’s oral fixation; she’d let her suck Richie off all day if that’s what she wanted. Time and time again, Eddie’s proven she does.

“You want it so bad,” Richie says under her breath. Eddie nods with Richie’s thumb still in her mouth. She sucks it down to the knuckle and Richie swears. Richie pulls her thumb out and glosses over the faded pink on Eddie’s lips with her own spit. 

“Please, Richie,” Eddie’s voice, high and thin when she pleads like this. Brat, Richie thinks. “Give me what I want.”

Richie pats her on the cheek and feeds the silicone back into Eddie’s mouth. Eddie accepts it eagerly and goes lax against Richie's hand pushing her head further down, “Yeah, anything for my girl.”

daily reminder day 16: eddie k-tozier is alive and well and they’re bickering over what movie to watch, just like how they bicker over everything else. richie wants to watch “moulin rouge” because it’s an absolute masterpiece while eddie wants to watch “grease,” which is also another masterpiece. eddie’s in the middle of going over the statistics of how his movie is the best and how they should watch it, karate chopping the air without even realizing it, and richie only rolls his eyes and pulls him in for a quick kiss, which is how he usually gets eddie to stop talking. and somehow that small kiss gave eddie the realization of…why don’t they just watch both? so that’s what they do. Grease first though obviously, he wasn’t gonna budge on that and richie had to admit that it was a pretty good movie.

Richie Gilmore’s Service Dog’s

In season one, Richie Gilmore gets diagnosed with anxiety by his therapist, but it’s not until season six when he’s living in his own place - when not living in Stars Hallow or in dorms at Yale that he gets his first service dog. This is a list of all the ones he has over the years.

Malcom - Great Dane, named after Dr. Ian Malcom from Jurassic Park, a major comfort film for him.

Satine - Golden Retriever, named after Satine from Moulin Rouge

Carmichael - Bernese Mountain Dog, named after Sam Carmichael from Mamma Mia. (A comfort musical for Richie, and he was Pepper in Chilton’s Spring production his sophomore year.)

Darling - St.Bernard, name being inspired by the Darling family from Peter Pan.

          if you ever wanted to know what jasper skellington was like when he was a teenager just look at his son wesley. the clone of his father and only son between jasper and donnie, wes is the part of jasper that died. a menace with a thirst for knowledge and starry eyes. he may be jasper’s clone but wes is very much his papa’s boy as well. he’s the perfection mixture of both his parents. wes was kind, smart and loving like his father. however he also held donnie’s aloofness and rebellious tendencies and echoed his papa’s feelings of isolation, need to prove himself and wanting to find something that made sense in a world where everything already seemed decided. he’s brilliant, incredibly so, but wes often plays dumb if only to keep the upper hand in situations. he’s quite diabolical when he wants to be. 

wes was the baby that helped bring his parents back together after their divorce. like all their kids, wes was made with an infinite about of love. donnie thought that a baby would bring jasper back to him and while it was a silly thought it wasn’t entirely wrong. in the midst of their rekindling donnie was gravely injured by a rouge foot clan member. it made jasper rethink everything. one of those being more kids. thus wesley was born. donnie always said he wanted a mini jasper to love, cherish and protect. he got exactly that in his only boy. wes was ( and still is ) without a doubt a papa’s boy. from a young age he clung to donnie and to this day still does. he’s close to his dad as well. he looks up to his dad and admires his strength and wisdom but does often clash with him given how similar they are. he is his father’s clone afterall. 

      wesley always struggled with the idea of purpose. having both of his parents who had big legacies attached to them wasn’t easy. the hamato clan was all about destiny and the skellington name held a weight he felt he would only crumble under. lilith always had a perfect sense of self, diana had her path planned for her as her papa’s clone and well callie didn’t have to worry she was the baby. what did wes have? nothing at least he believed so when he was a teenager and lost. after jasper left the role of mayor of hallow falls, any set path wes had was derailed. jasper didn’t want what he had to go through for his son. the town cost him many things - his marriage more importantly and sense of self. jasper didn’t want to have wes suffer the same fate. by stripping that away from him it left wes lost and truthfully insecure because what did he have to offer? it was an existential crisis he dealt with for sometime

      now in his twenties wes has calmed down. don’t be fooled he’s still a menace and a headache on a good day but he’s a lot more tame than he used to be. when he’s not being bombarded by his sisters who love him or hanging out with his best friends ( reggie rogers & lucien reyes-park i love u ) you’ll find wes with his boyfriend, harry teague. they were friends for a long time. like his dads, wes had no romantic interest. unlike his dads, he was well aware of everyone else's interest in him but wes only had eyes for harry. he’s stupidly in love and happy to have found someone who makes him feel alive. wes juggles being a university student ( yes his dad’s his professor and he hates being asked if his dad is single thanks ), working for his papa’s tech company ( that he’ll take over one day ! ) and being a menace to society. as the lone son of jasper he was expected to take over the spirit of halloween title but instead gave that to lili. he knew his sister would thrive at it better than he would. that of course caused problems with his grandparents but wes didn’t care. he happily told them off. he’s writing his own destiny whether they like it or not. he has the support of is parents which is all that really matters to him. he knows now that he has a lot to offer the world. 

random  facts

being donnie’s son means that wes is connected to the hamato ninpo. it’s a recent discovery and he’s still navigating how to use it. since diana now has a bow and arrow, donnie’s bo staff has been passed down to him. like donnie he’s able to conjure weapons with his mystic ability. he’s able to transform donnie’s staff into a scythe. his ninpo is black and tied to the phases of the moon. the different phases are shown on his body. as a half skeleton monster the transformation wasn’t as seamless as it was for jasper. it takes an hour for jasper to turn back into a human whereas it took days for wes to transform back. unable to bear with the idea of his son being uncomfortable donnie found and herb that would make wes’ transformation easier the way it was for jasper. they grow it in their garden at home to have on hand. with it wes is able to transform just as fast as jasper. he doesn’t skeleton out a lot because of how time consuming the process is but he does when necessary. he only removes body parts when needed since donnie doesn’t like seeing his son dismembered.  

very protective of his family. he used to get in many fights when he was younger defending his family’s honor, mostly donnie’s. he heard the horror stories of how his father’s parents treated him and how the town turned on him during orion’s lies. wes also grew up watching hallow falls mistreat his papa. as he got older he stopped using his fists and started using his words to tear people who had things to say about his family. fiercely protective of his sisters. his sisters are so damn safe bro. he loves them with everything he has. however, diana is his parent in crime. his best friend. they’re lovingly called the lavender twins. 

named after iconic horror director ( creator of a nightmare on elm street & scream ) wes craven to keep in theme with the spooky / gothic aesthetic jasper had going on. donnie would be damned if their son was named freddy or jason. his middle name is bestowed upon him by serena. she blessed each hamato-skellington child with different things. for wes, it was lavender to ward off bad dreams. so to honor his best friend, and his husband’s affinity with purple, wes was given the middle lavandin 

wes is a certified genius. we know this. look at his parents. wes is so smart that at nineteen he figured out a new formal to solve an equation. he was able to write a phd level thesis for this new formal of course with the help of donnie because he wanted his papa to be part of that because wes didn’t think of it as a big deal. it just made sense to him

THE CORONATION OF CHARLES III : AN IRRESISTIBLE SPECTACLE

Nothing prepares you for a coronation — not quite, not fully. King Charles III had waited seven decades for his moment, he had rehearsed the ceremony in the days before, yet as he approached the doors of Westminster Abbey, his face betrayed his anxiety. He turned, he muttered, he fidgeted. For much of the two-hour service, his expression was, if not exactly a grimace, a study in suspense. 

When the two-kilogramme St Edward’s Crown was placed on his head, he closed his eyes sombrely. Queen Camilla braced herself similarly when her own turn came.The audience were unprepared for the coronation, probably more so. No one much younger than the 74-year old king could remember the last one, which took place when Winston Churchill was prime minister. More than 2,000 people filed into the Abbey, and their eyes seemed to widen at the plethora of colourful garments, the grandeur of the jewels, the assortment of the great, the good and the deserving. 

Observing the singer Lionel Richie sitting next to the former Australian foreign secretary Julie Bishop gave a sense of the strangeness of the occasion. There were roles for people with titles such as the Lady of the Order of the Thistle and the Rouge Dragon Pursuivant.

It would be wrong to say that the British public had been gripped by the prospect of the coronation. Two-fifths thought it was a waste of taxpayer money, according to one poll. Two-thirds didn’t care about it very much or at all, according to another. After all, there had been a glut of royal pageantry in the past year: Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee weekend last June, followed by her funeral in September.Yet, as so often, royal ceremony proved almost irresistible. Foremost was the music, guided, we are told, by the king himself. Westminster Abbey is a fragmented building, where few seats have a direct view of the central space. It has been hosting coronations since 1066, which means that for many centuries, most attendees must have been craning their necks. Because of that, and because most of the congregation had to be seated for two hours before the main service began, the music mattered. The choir’s rendition of Handel’s Zadok The Priest, sung in the most sacred moment of the service as the King was anointed with oil behind a screen, was a triumph.

 When the congregation later responded with the words “God Save the King”, the noise reverberated deep into the stonework.

Ian Sanders  · So Charles III will be crowned on Saturday in a ceremony which will start at 11 a.m. BST and possibly go on until 2 p.m. This is a multi-faceted phenomenon and various opinions may be held about it all. 

I have my own - and no interest in trying to persuade anyone else to  adopt them.What I'd like to draw attention to is that a large number of power-possessing beings will be gathered in a powerful sacred place (Westminster Abbey), while many millions of people around the world will be paying attention (of sorts) to proceedings. 

Some of you will be familiar with the research done by the PEAR project and by the Global Coherence Initiative which suggests a greater degree than usual of cohesion in our collective consciousness at times of mass focus. This may be a good time to devote some time and effort to wishing the world well, whatever that means to you.
