Another random collection of #jamesbond items about the films and the actors who starred in the films here..

1965 - Future #007 Roger Moore was years away from the role but was perfecting his charming English gentleman persona in the UK TV series THE SAINT.

Still in 1965, this article looks at HONEY WEST, GET SMART and other shows climbing on the Super Spy bandwagon.

1973 - Jumping ahead to the 70s, we find one-time Bond, George Lazenby, trying to repair his damaged career.

I hadn’t heard of the BBC TV play he was promoting. It received some hostile reviews.

1979 was all about James Bond in space. Article below promoting MOONRAKER. They made a big thing about how it was the most expensive Bond film yet.

1981 saw a more down to Earth Bond in FOR YOUR EYES ONLY.

1984 - Future James Bond, Pierce Brosnan was riding high with REMINGTON STEELE. A role that was in some ways grooming him for the role. Here he shows his soft side.

Later that year he was all but signed up for the next James Bond film as the successor to Roger Moore.

Unfortunately they renewed the TV series for another season and PB couldn't take on the role. Not until GOLDENEYE.
