every time i see someone saying along the lines of “lorelai is so rude to her parents they’re just trying to build a relationship with and support her” and like oh i see… you guys didn’t grow up with parents who criticized you all the time, made you feel like you have to conceal your identity, berated you even for the littlest mistakes, shouted at you; and were surprised when you grew up to be defensive every time they talk to you because you’re so used to be shouted at, you thought if i get my claws out now i won’t be insulted anymore… i get it. and you also weren’t insulted over and over again because “why are you so angry all the time it’s impossible to have a nice conversation with you” when they were also angry and impossible to have a nice conversation with them, like all the time.

I maintain that Fanny is the perfect name for girl versions of Dick Grayson.
Old fashioned
Now sounds kinda inappropriate for polite company.
Both factors make people do a double take when hearing it.

Lesson Learned
Cordelia Goode x Wilhemina Venable x Ally Mayfair x Reader (mother/ daughter)
“Come on y/n just do it!” Maddison shouts at you getting impatient.
“Chill Mads if she doesn't want to do it she doesn't have to,” Queenie says.
Zoe nods as she looks at you “Don't do it y/n those things are bad for you anyways.”
Maddison rolls her eyes “You guys are such babies. It's fine. All of the older girls smoke. “
“So you do what everyone else does?” Queenie snips back.
“I'm sorry who is the cool one in this group?” Maddison asked.
“Not you!” Queenie says.
The three girls go into a frenzy of arguing back and forth as you held the rolled-up cigarette in between your fingers. It couldn't be that bad you thought to yourself.
You placed the cigarette in between your lips and you lit the end watching the first clouds of smoke roll out.
It really was like a smoke signal making all of the girls go quiet and look toward you.
Maddison smirked “Finally someone with some balls. Now inhale.” she says.
You did as she said breathing in deeply feeling the smoke fill up your lungs and blowing it out quickly.
You choke on the smoke getting caught in your chest causing you to cough loudly.
“Jesus this is awful,” you said coughing in between your words.
“You’ll get used to it,” Madison shrugs as she inhales smoothly and blows out rings of smoke toward Zoe.
“Y/n Y/M/n what on earth are you doing?!” you hear a voice shout behind you.
“Oh shit,” Queenie whispers.
You slowly turned around finding brown eyes glaring at you.
“Ally...I”
“Do you know how dangerous these things are? What they can do to your health?” she asked snatching the cigarette from you and putting it out.
“Give it to me Madison and the rest of whatever you have,” she says holding her hand out.
“You're not my mother. “ the blonde chuckles.
“She's not. But I am your supreme and I'm telling you to hand it over. Now.” Cordelia says walking up behind you.
Madison rolls her eyes as she hands over the pack she got this morning.
“You guys are ridiculous,” she complained.
“Thank you. Now all of you go to your rooms.” Cordelia shouts.
The girls quickly move past the two women heading inside. You tried to hide in the middle of them hoping to escape when you feel a hand on your shoulder pulling you back.
“Not you,” Ally says pulling you towards her.
You sighed as you watched the girls escape to their rooms. It was times like these that you wished you weren't the daughter of the supreme.
“Y/n what were you thinking?” Cordelia asked.
“I'm sorry. Madison said it wasn't a big deal. I was just trying it.”
“You know better than to listen to Madison,” Ally says.
“I know.”
“And you know how I feel about smoking,” Cordelia adds.
“But you let the older girls...”
“The older girls are just that older. They're all old enough to buy them and old enough to make their own choices. It's not a choice that I like but I can't stop them. As long as they follow the rules about keeping it outside and cleaned up that's all I can ask of them.”
“Y/n it's not a habit you want. It's nasty for your health. It makes you smell and it's extremely addicting. “ Ally adds.
“I'm sorry,” you mumbled looking down.
“Honey I know it's hard growing up and you're going to want to try things. But some things aren't worth trying. I promise you aren't missing out when it comes to these.” Cordelia says shaking the box of cigarettes.
“I know. It tastes gross and it made me cough really bad. I won't do it again.”
Your mothers smile “Good!” they both say in unison.
“But... We still have to tell Momma and I don't think she's going to let you off so easily,” Cordelia says.
Your eyes grow wide as you shake your head. “No Mom, please. Please don't tell Momma. She will kill me and Madison.”
“You know we don't keep secrets from one another.”
“I know but...please,” you begged as tears pricked your eyes.
“ I’m sorry sweetheart but you know how this works. The three of us don't hide things from one another and we all make decisions together. We will talk to her and go from there.” Cordelia says as she kisses your forehead.
Cordelia walks back into the house leaving you and Ally outside.
“Well get a good look at me Al. I’ll be dead soon.” you cried.
Ally chuckles as she shakes her head pulling you into her arms for a hug.
“Oh sweets you're not going to die. She loves you too much to kill you. Now Madison on the other hand....”
“Ally!”
She laughs “ I'm kidding. We will talk to her sweets okay? But please promise me you won't smoke again. I love you too much to lose you. “
“I promise Al. “
“Good. I love you, sweets,” she says with a smile.
“I love you too.”
“Y/n Y/M/n!!!” you hear your redhead mother scream from inside.
“Ahh man,” you whined.
Ally chuckles as she lops her arm in yours.
“Come on sweets.”
“I'm never listening to Madison again.” you groaned as Ally all but dragged you into the house.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND 1951
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

DR. RICHARD WASHINGTON WAS AND STILL IS A BAD, BAD MAN!
Lines
Bloodline Family Series
Everybody that knew Rich knew what he did, they also knew that he kept a legit job too. He liked cutting hair and Slim's uncle needed a barber so when the two started college they both started working in his shop. After two years of working there, the guys that worked there knew not to play with either friend and they knew Slim was the nicest of the two.
"Aye man, how many heads you cut today?"
Rich at in his chair twisting back and forth, thinking before he answered the barber next to him, Jamal. Rich didn't really care for him but he put up with him because Jamal hadn't crossed him. Yet. He would cross the line eventually and Rich would be there waiting.
"Like 10 or 12," he shrugged.
"Damn, you must be good." Jamal laughed cutting the guy's head in his chair
"Mmhm, something like that."
Slim laughed to himself. Jamal was trying to be friendly with Rich, he wanted to be friends but Slim knew his best friend didn't like him.
"Say man, you comin' out tonight or you got something planned with ya lady?" Slim asked from across the shop.
Before Rich could answer, Jamal butted in. "You got a girl?"
"Yeah, I do. Why?" Rich asked glancing at him.
"No reason," Jamal shrugged finishing the haircut, "I just didn't think you did. With all these bitches after you, if I was you I'd have wifey and a few hoes. Shit, you prolly do."
The other barbers and a few of the patrons laughed at the suggestion.
"That's a faithful young man right there, son. Just him and his lady," an older gentleman interjected.
Jamal snorted as he slapped hands with his customer. "Shiiiit, like I said if I was him, I'd have a plethora."
Rich smirked and glanced at him, "But you ain't me so just worry about yaself."
A few hours later, Rich was cutting hair and the door to shop opened jingling the bell at the top of the door. Queenie walked in with Apryl and Kandice. A few spoke to them but they didn't put too much of their attention on them.
"What's goin on, Queenpin?" Slim asked going to hug her, her sister and cousin.
"Hey, Slim," Queenie smiled. She went over to kiss Rich, who wrapped his free arm around her and grabbed her butt. "Hey, baby. The girls came to see me and wanted to see you."
Rich smiled at them, "What's up, ladies? How long yall in town for?'
"Till Monday. Our parents went on a trip and shipped us off here," Apryl shrugged going to hug him.
Kandice scoffed playfully, "No, you got shipped off and i got guilt tripped."
Rich hugged then both and laughed.
"Either way, it's good to see yall. What yall about to do?' He asked going back to the haircut.
Queenie smiled, "Well, we were about to go eat and probably go to the mall."
"And you came to the ATM," he joked, "What if I told you it was closed?"
"Then is just rob it," she laughed.
"Uhuh," he mumbled playfully, "Go on back there and look in my bag. Yall go with her, yall know she don't share shit."
As the three of them headed for the backroom of the barbershop, Jamal came out checking each of them out as he passed them. Slim noticed and a laugh escaped him, he sat down in his chair ready to watch the fireworks. Going back to his own chair, Jamal to a seat with a wide smile on his face.
"Who was that?"
"Who was who? I ain't see nobody," Tony, another barber said quickly.
Jamal laughed, "Come on now, yall seen them fine ass women just walk through here."
Rich finished the haircut and slapped hands with his customer. He turned to his station to clean his things ignoring his co-worker.
"So yall just gon ignore me? I'm saying though, they was fine."
"16 will get you 20, my man." Tony told him quickly.
Jamal nodded, "I mean shit I won't tell if they won't. Wait ... which one of them is 16? Not that it matters."
"It should matter though," Rich added.
"Why? They ain't tellin."
Strike one, Rich thought to himself
The girls came from the back and over to Rich. Kandice and Apryl hugged him before going to wait by the door. While Queenie was telling Rich bye, Jamal approached them.
"I'm tellin you, man. Don't do that," Slim laughed tossing a few sunflower seeds in his mouth.
Jamal waved him off and grabbed Kandice's hand. "What's up, beautiful? I'm Jamal. What's your name?"
Kandice snatched her hand back from him with a frown on her face. "16," she said backing up.
"I'm not worried, it's all good. You should let me take you out."
Strike two, Rich thought to himself
By this time, Slim was in his chair dying of laughter. It was always fun to him when people tried Rich and even funnier when they had no idea.
"We're 16, we don't want you," Apryl told him, "Now move. Queenie, we goin to the car."
The two girls walked out going to her car. Queenie rolled her eyes, telling her boyfriend she'd see him at his apartment. The two of them embrace and kissed one more time. She hugged Slim one more time before leaving the barbershop. As she left though, Jamal's eyes were on her and Rich's were on him.
"Aye, you got a eye problem or somethin?"
Tumblr media
"My bad, I was just looking, Rich." Jamal laughed as he sat in his chair.
"I asked you a question," Rich said setting his tools down, "You got a eye problem?"
"You serious man? I was lookin, no law against that. Ain't like I said she had a fat ass or something, I kept that to myself. But shit we all know its there."
Strike three, Rich thought to himself.
"I been lettin you slide since you got here a few months ago, a few times I should've said something to you but it wasn't my business," Rich told him calmly.
Jamal looked at his co-worker and laughed. He figured since Slim was laughing then it must've been a joke.
"Its just a few bitches, you can really be mad about that."
"A few bitches," Rich repeated with a sarcastic laugh, "Its clear you don't like your life."
Jamal opened his mouth to say something but Rich punched him out his chair. He didn't got a chance to fight back, Rich was on him pouncing him then jacked him up off the floor, forcing him to a wall holding him there with his firearm in his throat.
"Slim," Rich called out, "Bring me them shears."
"Gladly."
Slim hopped up with a smile on his face to get the sharpest shears he had taking them to his best friend. The other men in the shop put their focus everywhere but on what was currently happening. Rich took the shears and held them at Jamal's eyes as he tried to get away.
"Be ya scary ass still," Rich huffed, "You approached my lil sister and lil cousin after Tony and them told you not to, you touched them after they told you no and then you thought to say some disrespectful shit about my lady. Gimmie one reason why I shouldn't pluck both eyes out."
Jamal was sweating and panicking.
"Look, I'm sorry! I ain't know!"
"Bullshit," Slim called out laughing. "Ya ass just don't listen. That's ya problem!"
Rich opened the shears and moved it under his eyes pressing it into his skin as he shook and struggled.
"Be ya ass still, I told you that shit already," Rich growled in a low tone. 'It'll only hurt for a second."
Pushing the shears into his skin, Rich sliced into his skin making a long cut under Jamal's left eye. Jamal screamed out in pain which went ignored by every other person in the shop except Slim. When he was done, Rich handed Slim the shears and stepped back.
"Did we learn a lesson?" He asked.
Jamal held his hand to his face, tears pooling in his eyes from the pain. A few moments later, Rich looked down at his feet and stepped back in disgust.
"Ah shit, you pissed yaself, man? Talk all that shit about bitches but here you are actin like one." Rich taunted. "Go get a mop and clean this shit up then you should take the rest of day off and get that checked out. We got ya cuts till tomorrow."
Jamal looked up at him horrified.
"Did I say something you ain't understand? Lemme say it simpler for you," Rich shrugged, "Clean this up, go to the hospital, go home and bring ya ass back tomorrow. Don't come back tomorrow and see what happens. And stop crying be grateful i let you keep ya eyes."
Rich turned away from him and went back to his station to finish cleaning his tools. Slim continued to taunt Jamal a little while longer until he got the mop like Rich told him to and the barbershop went back to normal just like that.

No no wait wait, let me update it, the celestial entertainers, are sun and moon, the perriot is kafumo, the overlooker is loolilalu, the bandits are max, Chad, and gummigoo, the duchess is Martha, the queen is maybe queenie, and I am not sure about the abstraction or the bladed beast.
You're right on most, but a little bit wrong on some, so lemme make it easier for everyone to understand who is who
I've also split the bosses between pre-main and post main, because I pretty much consider the main 5 as the "prologue" of the rosters
Pre-main: The Lady of Forgotten Memories (Ragatha Azureus) The Skirmish General (Kingr) The Last Formidable, Imposing Structure (Z) The Mischievous Trickster Automaton (Jax Jackson Jackrabbit) The Maddened Princess of the Theater (Lady Gangle)
Post-main: Bladed Beast of Steel and Shadows (@thescarletnargacuga 's Scarlet Badorman) The Pierrot of the Carnival Funhouse (Kaufmo) The Celestial Twin Entertainers (Sunny and Moonie) Bandits of the Confectionary Highlands (Mogu, Richard and Maxwell) Former Warden of the Labyrinth (Quinnie) Overlooker of the Confectionary Highlands (Princess Lalu) The Abstraction (???) Duchess of the Mildenhall's Cliff edge House (Martha Mildenhall) Proud Queen of the Gatherers (Glory or "Gloink Queen") The Patriarch of Puppets (should I say it? I kinda don't wanna say it for those who are still in the dark lol)
NOTE: The boss roster is subject to change when more episodes come out. Some may be added, demoted to simply a passing reference, or even removed, depending.

Actors that were in Alice in Wonderland media and where you might know them better from. Part 1: 1930s-1960s
This has been something that I've been wanting to do for a bit. Specifically in video mode but I also wanted to put it in text form for people who don't have Tiktok(because YouTube will not let me post a video with the amount of clips from different movies). While I did try to put everyone here, I probably won't identify every actor from all medias or even know their roles. I also excluded actors where I legitimetly didn't know who the characters were in movie and also one time appearances in outside shows. So please refrain from being annoying in these posts.

41. Noses Off!
Another cartoon-logic episode. This is a fun one.
Also, Hi Richard Kuhlman! *wave* I'm glad that they gave him a role where he could show his face except for just hiding behind the Cat puppet. I was going to draw Dirk Deadline, but I'll have to revisit that idea another time. I couldn't pass up Queenie with a fake nose.

Paradise Hawaiian Style Review
Tumblr media
This is the final Elvis film that takes place in Hawaii. In fact, this could be considered one of the first Elvis film "remakes" as it's been claimed Colonel Parker wanted to recreate the success of Blue Hawaii. Similar to Blue Hawaii, real locations in Hawaii were featured during the film such as Coco Palms Resort and the Polynesian Cultural Center.
Tumblr media
We immediately jump into the action by having Rick Richards on a flight. He was fired after flirting with a flight attendant. Since he has a bad reputation, he was only able to get a job in Hawaii. We immediately get the titular song, Paradise, Hawaiian Style over the opening credits. It's a quintessential song in any Elvis travelogue movie.
I absolutely love the shots of Hawaii. You get the idea that this actually has relevancy to the plot. Danny, played by James Shigeta, is actually Hawaiian. The use of a mixed race couple is accurate for Hawaii. There was no law against it, so it wouldn't have been controversial for Danny to marry a white woman.
Tumblr media
While Rick is playing with Danny's kids, we get the next song, "Queenie Wahine's Papaya". This isn't Elvis' best work, but at least there's an established relationship with Danny's daughter, Jan. She actually gets to sing along with Elvis and does a pretty good job of keeping up with the fast paced song.
We get to see more shots of Hawaii that reflect the use of air travel. Even though Elvis himself doesn't fly the plane, we do see interior shots of the plane and Rick landing it. Unfortunately there are times where you can tell Elvis isn't on location. He just doesn't blend in with the background compared to on location shots.
Tumblr media
One thing that shocked me is how this movie seemed to openly talk about how Hawaii is seen by Americans as such a tourist attraction. The natives who lived there would've had to appeal to these big businesses to make money. Even though this cultural talking point isn't the focus of the film, you can still see its influences by having Rick and Danny go into business themselves.
When they get to the club, I swear Marianna Hill playing Lani is dubbed by another woman. Her audio just doesn't sound like it was recorded at the same time as Elvis'. Also when she duets during "Scratch My Back (Then I'll Scratch Yours)" she doesn't sound good. The song in general just isn't good and grinds the film to a halt. I know Lani works at a club, but she just sings one song and then leaves with Rick. You can cut that whole song and nothing would be lost.
Tumblr media
So by now we've established that Rick loves women in a distracting way. I admit that I appreciate how they made that such an integral part of his character that it actively influences the plot. If he didn't have such a bad reputation of flirting with flight attendants on the clock, he would've never been in Hawaii. It's unfortunate that he doesn't have any real character arc that addresses that.
It's clear that he wants to only hire a secretary because she's hot and not because she's qualified. Danny hiring Judy is a clear sign that he actually believes in her skills and wants Rick to stay focused. Danny cares about his business and wants to have people who can actually do the job.
Tumblr media
More shots of Hawaii and this is the best part of the film. We get vocals from the Polynesian people as Rick travels. You really get the idea that Hawaii is important. You couldn't get these shots anywhere in the continental US. Of course there are goofs such as dialogue being clearly dubbed in. Like so bad that Rick is waving while saying "Hi" with Elvis clearly not moving his lips.
That being said, you immediately stop caring with the best song in the entire movie, "Drums of the Islands". My god. The visuals of Rick on a canoe just riding along the river as he sings is just beautiful. The land/seascapes are prominent and the Polynesian culture is heavily featured. Elvis isn't shoved in front of the performers. He's integrated into their act and letting these people perform an art that's been passed down for generations.
Tumblr media
"A Dog's Life" is a song that exists. I have no idea how Elvis could possibly lip-synch all this having those dogs jump on him. Easily one. of the most stressful scenes in an Elvis movie. He lets go of the controls so many times, the dogs jump right in his lap as he's singing. A completely chaotic moment. If this wasn't a movie, these characters would most likely be dead. In universe, it's actually a testament to Rick's piloting skills that no one did die. Not just the passengers but literally everyone on the ground.
Naturally the one time Rick flies recklessly, he runs into the car of a government official in charge of aviation. Regardless of what actually happened, this guy's well within his rights to complain about what happened to him and his wife. These dogs weren't properly contained and that helicopter likely wasn't suitable for Rick to transport all of them anyway.
Tumblr media
We get a Red cameo at the restaurant and a pointless fight scene. The tourist flirting with "Friday" was bad, but Rick sticking up for her makes no sense. Based on his actions in the movie, he's not that morally upstanding to be above unwarranted flirting.
As of this point, he has no actual chemistry with any women. He has more of a relationship with Jan (who is a child) than anyone else. Unfortunately, their 2nd duet, "Datin" is awful. It feels weird to watch a grown man explain dating to a child that isn't his. And in general, Jan's singing isn't that great compared to their first duet.
Tumblr media
Not long after they land we get to yet another song, "House of Sand". If we cut "Datin" and went to this that would be fine. Unfortunately, this happens barely two minutes apart from each other. It feels so shoved in now because of how badly spaced they are. Also a problem with these types of songs is that they have no build up. There's no reason for these songs to be made other than fill up a quota. Elvis just bursts into songs at the most random intervals. If you cut them from the film literally nothing would change. With "House of Sand" you go right back to Rick flying in the air with one of his "love interests".
So we get a swimming scene where Elvis is conveniently covered up by a towel. It's so weird how he's covered up when both of the girls aren't. It's almost like the producers wanted to hide something. Yeah, it's obvious at this point that Hollywood wanted to hide Elvis' weight. The way they try to hide it is just so bizarre as you can still see his stomach anyway.
Tumblr media
I hate Lani's character. She actively decides to mess up Rick and Jan's lives by throwing away the key in the sand. Lani literally got them stranded on an island with a child. If they never found the key, and Danny never knew where they ended up, they could've died. Rick's womanizing ways on top of her individual actions could've literally killed them. She is lucky that Danny didn't charge her and Rick with the endangerment of a child.
Sure she didn't know she would lose the key that way, but that was such a dumb and dangerous decision just because she wanted some sugar. As for Friday sticking up for Rick, I have no idea why she would do that. She knows first hand what his flirting ways are like. Just because he stood up to one tourist doesn't negate the fact that he's irresponsible. Danny if anything is the reasonable one and has the patience of a saint that he didn't press charges. They were out overnight and could've easily been out for longer if he didn't rescue them.
Tumblr media
Friday chastising Rick is well deserved and if anything serves a bigger reason as to why their relationship makes no sense. Rick wanting to rescue Danny and risk losing his license for good, isn't enough of a reason to think that he's changed. As much as it shows that he can think of others it still doesn't change his womanizing ways. Compared to the dog scene from earlier, this rescue doesn't feel so tense.
All helicopters should have a first aid kit in the event that there's a crash, so it makes no sense for Danny to not have one. Even if Jan's only a child, he can still tell her how to make a splint. If this was such a tense moment as the movie wants it to be, the danger would be greater than this. There's more instances of dubbed in dialogue with 0 lip movement such as the end of this hospital scene.
Tumblr media
Jan's solo song "Bill Bailey, Won't You Please Come Home" is easily her best song. It's quite refreshing to have someone who isn't Elvis get a song all to themselves. And again Rick's flirting ways is getting the better of him. Even if he wants to be with Friday (which he never indicates more than any of the women he was with) he still needs to show that his flirting ways are over.
"Stop Where You Are" while shot differently than most Elvis songs, is also visually a nightmare. If you're watching this movie on a buggy site like DailyMotion and watch this movie for the first time, you wouldn't know if it's pausing on purpose or if it's the lag. I also have no idea why Rick's singing anyway since if he wanted to hide from the women, he did a terrible job. He was right on stage front and center. Naturally Rick's flirting ways catch up to him. He only gets away with it by paying them off. What a wonderful message/s. If you get in trouble with women you just promise to pay them off. Why does Friday like this guy?
Tumblr media
We get an unedited shot of the different acts at the Polynesian Cultural Center and I love it. If a film was given permission to use that building, actually use it and the people who belong to that culture.
I also love how the government official is portrayed as a reasonable man. He knows that Rick saving Danny was necessary and is willing to make an exception. Now him being with Friday at the end makes no sense. It was so rushed that I don't think they even kiss at the end. The actual romance felt like so much of an afterthought almost like they knew we wouldn't care because the ending songs would be our last impression of the film.
Tumblr media
"This is My Heaven" is a song that perfectly depicts Elvis' love for Hawaii. It's so beautiful and when combined with a reprise of "Drums of the Islands" makes it one of the best ending scenes in any Elvis film. The showcasing of the actual Polynesian performers will never get enough praise from me.
Like we actually get a break from Elvis singing to listen to them sing in their language. It's so beautiful to see them depict their culture without seeing Elvis shoehorned in the frame. The wide shot of the entire entourage performing is just so beautiful. It showcases that Elvis at this point isn't important, the people of Hawaii and the island nations are.
Tumblr media
This film is so visually stunning that it makes the production errors even more noticeable. That being said, the amount of effort put into showcasing Hawaii and the Polynesian culture is incredible. Hawaii is an island state that doesn't have a White majority. For the movie to showcase this demographic breakdown in such a casual way for the time period is impressive.
There are flaws with this film that can't be ignored. However, when you have scenes that fully embrace the Hawaiian culture, that's a sign that this film actually tried. Because of those efforts, I'm giving this film a 7/10. If you like Elvis films, I would recommend watching this independent of Blue Hawaii so you don't compare the two. Even if you're not an Elvis fan, this movie still serves as a good insight of how Hawaii was viewed by Hollywood at the time.

Thank you so for much to @georgefairbrother for requesting this review. I know you also requested that I review Clambake as well and I will do that next. If anyone else would like to request an Elvis film or a film in general, please send them in.

Sonic the Comic Liveblog: Issue 92
Tumblr media
Please don't tell me this big palace/gold factory combination just has a big open tunnel as it's entrance?
Tumblr media
Yeah buddy, might've helped if you had like, a gate, or a big heavy door.
Tumblr media
In the space of just one page they broke through and got right to the throne room… with just spears and axes. Shittiest security ever.
Tumblr media
A perfectly normal human phrase, but when spoken by a large anthromorphic wasp, it starts sounding a little racist.
Tumblr media
Queenie-girl, as iconic as your fashion sense is, you haven't so much as gotten off your seat since this attack started.
Tumblr media
Jesus christ, I was hoping I was wrong, but the Hive's entrace really just is a completely open, unbarricaded tunnel. I'm mostly surprised you guys haven't been conquered sooner.
Tumblr media
Yeah, you guys REALLY should've done that sooner.
Tumblr media
Ok, the "Charmy is annoying" jokes are mostly not funny but this one did get me.
Tumblr media
Huh. Was not aware there was a Discworld game for the Saturn.
Tumblr media
And another game I didn't know existed. What was it with the 90s and kids/baby spin-offs?
Tumblr media
Back to the hijinx with Plunder and his crew. I really do like this trio a lot.
Tumblr media
Awk, he is kind of an adorable character, isn't he?
Tumblr media
Bit of an unexpected turn that these two have became buddies.
Tumblr media
It's just a small panel, but there's so much detail and artistry that has gone into it.
Tumblr media
A great full-page spread. And look at Simpson in his little floaty tube!
Tumblr media
Didn't feel the need to go into detail with this one-off story but it was kinda funny
Tumblr media
I haven't been paying as much attention to the artists as I really should have, but looking back, Richard Elson is the artist for the current Captain Plunder story, plus the story where Super Sonic becomes separate from Sonic, which was the sotry where I was constantly raving about the artwork. So yeah, gotta agree with you there Sara, Richard Elson is my favourite StC artist too.
