Do you have any recipes for bearkin, specifically for sun bears and black bears? I'm mostly vegetarian but I'll eat venison or fish for meats. I'm looking for a mix of savoury dishes and sweets. I really like shortcake and rice, if that gives you any starting points.

swedish xmas stuff in sso for those who want to know more

a straw yule goat (julbock = yule goat, halmbock = straw goat) that youre all familiar with by now! the wikipedia page in english is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yule_goat there are also other straw decorations used in xmas trees, etc.

this is a julstjärna (yule star) or adventsstjärna (advent star). we hang these in the windows mainly but can be hung in other places. they typically have a lightbulb inside to light up. there are a lot of different designs. 

these are saffron buns with raisins, called lussekatter or lussebullar. they are especially eaten during the lucia celebrations on dec 13th (the ”lusse” part of the name is a cutesy name for lucia), but also anytime in winter.

this is risgrynsgröt, rice porridge/pudding, served with cinnamon and sugar. its another traditional winter/xmas food. in america they leave milk and cookies out for santa - but in sweden, you should leave a bowl of porridge out on the doorstep for the house gnome, who helps to take care of your home all year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_pudding#Nordic_countries

this is a pepparkaka (gingerbread), or pepparkakshjärta (gingerbread heart), decorated with icing. big hanging hearts like this would often have names or “god jul” (merry christmas) or other words written on them. when i was a kid we sometimes got a large one of these in school before the xmas break.

this is a juniper tree, as can be seen by the distinct small blue berries as well as the shape of the tree. its not usually used as a xmas tree this way, but it has a lot of use in nordic culture in general. the berries have a specific woody taste and the wood smells good too.
