Open Starter - Orchestra

You had known Camp Half Blood had an orchestra for quite some time, but whether you did or didn’t visit, or even played, was up to you.

Now, though, you saw dozens of campers rehearsing for a performance that was in a week. Tubas, flutes, trumpets, violins, every instrument you could think of.

Towards the back, you saw Rey - he could be heard throughout the entire room, his huge bass drum causing a ruckus. He and the other percussionists switched instruments sometimes, but he was mainly on the bass drum.

He spots you, gesturing excitedly to you, a grin on his face showing off his canines.

I think, perhaps, that when I was a child, I got lost in the park and by mistake swallowed a star. Not a burning sun but an incandescent lump of metal, lead most likely.
