Synopsis:

After discovering a hidden and horrid truth about their ruler, King Magnifico, an ordinary servant girl named Asha, must take a great leap of faith to save Rosas from his clutches before time runs out for everyone she cares about.

Her fate is sealed once she stumbles upon another of the royal’s secrets. A celestial being held captive, believed by many to only be from myth: A Wishing Star.

Phoenix Reignited 1.23 - Reckoning

As I've alluded to, I've been struggling a little bit to write on Book XIII lately. Nothing's wrong with the writing per se, there's just a metric fuckton of life shit going on for me the last few weeks that's been slowing me down, and doing two Herculean writing projects at the same time while dealing with multiple work and life crises has just been too much.

So, I've made the tough decision to pause work on Book XIII - just for a week or two, while I Reignite the entirety of book II. This will give me about two months of backlog on Reignited - including three entirely new chapters in Book II - allowing me to then devote my full attention to Book XIII. I started this work this morning, and you're gonna love the changes coming. In my opinion, Books II and III have always been by far the weakest in the entire Phoenix Saga, and shoring them up enough to make them worthy in my eyes to stand beside their sisters was one of the main motivations for me to do Reignited in the first place. I'm really excited for you to see some of the things we're doing when Reignited Book II begins dropping next Tuesday - remember, we're not doing gaps between books like I do with the leading edge of the story because there's a lot less planning and such involved in the process.

I think doing the back-and-forth every couple of chapters is probably triggering ADHD a little bit, as is the whole, health/life/not sleeping nonsense which - at the great urging of many friends and Firebirds on the Storytellers' Speakeasy Discord server, I am also going to start devoting a little more attention to taking care of. (You did know Phoenix has an official fan Discord you can join, right?) So - nothing really changing, just a slightly different short-term approach. I still intend to prove to the world that I can expand the story while also simultaneously rewriting it; I'll just flex that muscle on Book XIV and Reignited Book III instead, when I'm not also firefighting quite so much out here in the real world.

Saturday is our final chapter of Reignited Book I, and I'll have some minor announcements then about some tweaks I'm making to the plan for Reignited going forward.

The redhead smiled. “No problem!” She pulled the bag out of the trash, tying it off in a double knot, humming merrily to herself. She popped open the back door, slipping out into the December chill of the alley with the bag. The door slammed shut behind her as she stepped out into the light dusting of snow in the dark. Fuck, it’s getting cold out here. I need to tell Izumi to start bringing me longer skirts to wear or something, or forget being a pop star, I’m gonna be a pop-sicle. She whispered a silent prayer of thanks, not for the first or the last time, that she was not still spending her nights sleeping on a park bench around the corner from the nearby train station.

She turned to head for the dumpster, and completed only one step toward it before she froze in her tracks, dropping the bag on the ground.

In the alleyway was a figure that struck more terror into Ranko than she knew possible. Not if the god of death himself were patrolling the space between the bar and the hardware store would Ranko have been so mortified. The shadowed figure was sitting on a pile of discarded wooden shipping pallets. In the dim of the alley, it was hard to see their face, but there was no mistaking them. Ranko would know that white-and-blue dress anywhere. She almost was forced to wear one once.

“A… Akane?!”

Shelby and Tyler go on a date, it hurts Kendall in a way, she wants to be in Tyler's place, but Riley helps her realise that it's ok. Then she rants about how pretty Shelby looked.

The Honourary Rangers - Rated Teen, based on a hc, I (and a few others on the discord) have, that the science geeks of the team made new morphers that allowed certain people to become temporary rangers. It stemmed from my interest in the morphing grid and Kendall being the mentor, then grew. The main question is: who becomes an honorary ranger?

Mine - Kendall/Shelby, Rated M, Vamp AU, main fic in the vamp au, it explores their relationship from Kendall's POV, while also exploring what it's like for her doing what she does whilst being a vampire, and whilst having her past

1 Time Kaylee Helped Kendall and 1 Time Kendall Helped Kaylee - Kendall and Kaylee often hole themselves up in their work. This means they can forget to do things like eat and rest. This is one time Kaylee helped Kendall and one time Kendall helped Kaylee.

Night Training - Ivan POV, it's Ivan's first training session with them, but it's one of Kendall's surprise nighttime ones. She likes to keep them on their toes

When she hears about Ultra Elite being shut down, she knows what's likely happening. What will she do, when there is a risk of a rewind, and history repeating itself. (Side note: Amanda is traumatised from her past home life and time at Elite)

SMG4 The Musical has been complete!

Yesterday at 11:20 PM EST I finished Act V

Which means that after 35 days of Production on SMG4 The Musical, it has been fully complete

Act V consists of 34 pages and 7 songs

As usual I will review the songs

Song 1: Confess

This is the eighteenth song of SMG4 The Musical and follows up to SMG4 meeting Mario after he escaped from Prison after stealing SMG3’s Notebook and telling Mario to confess what he did and what happened.

Song 2: Puzzlevision

This is the nineteenth song of SMG4 The Musical and takes place at an event going on at the theater in their town where they meet Mr. Puzzles who talks about Puzzlevision, his shows and his goal for a five star rating.

Song 3: Creative Control

This is the twentieth song of SMG4 The Musical and the third song from an SMG4 episode being added to the musical, we all know what happens during this song.

Song 4: Mr. Puzzles Wacky Spectacular Fantabulous Epicentric Variety Show

This is the twenty first song of SMG4 The Musical and the fourth song from an SMG4 episode being added into the musical, we all know what happens during this song.

Song 5: The One Who Controls This is the twenty second song of SMG4 The Musical and follows up when Mr. Puzzles got technical difficulties during the Variety Show due to SMG4 speaking in which he finds out it’s because he has 4.9 stars in which after a bit it regains to 5.

Song 6: Remember You

This is the twenty third song of SMG4 The Musical and follows up when Mr. Puzzles is about to kill the SMG4 Crew, so unfortunately Luigi The Meat Mallet will not be present in this show because it will be taken super out of context given the fact that Mario’s Mysteries doesn’t happen, not only that but how can an actor on a stage portray their head on a meat mallet? Like what? So I decided to rewrite this part and kill off a character because it wouldn’t make any sense for the whole Luigi The Meat Mallet ordeal to happen, it’d be taken so out of the blue and not only that but when he turns back to normal people would question how he got back to normal. So yeah I rewrote this part for a specific character (not saying who) to be killed off and this song takes place after the battle with Mr. Puzzles in which a person who is badly effected by this character’s death starts to sing.

Song 7: The SMG4 Crew (Reprise)

This is the twenty fourth and final song of SMG4 The Musical where it features that after the Crew got to 5.5/5 stars on their content that they decide to make a YouTube channel called…SMG4, this is also the song where bows take place, closing the musical.

In conclusion, SMG4 The Musical is 183 pages long, consists of 24 songs and 33+ characters

This was a very fun project to work on and before I can send the script out to the public domain I’m going to have some handy dandy Discord Server members help me review the script and check for some changes that should be added for feedback and I also need to add a watermark to my script so I can avoid people trying to steal my work and claim it as theirs I hope you can hold your patience for just a teensy bit longer before the script goes out to everybody, I can’t wait to show this project to you guys!

If I may ask, I a bit curious on the timeline of your Rwby rewrite project, you made videos on a Rwby rewrite before but with a different name(s because I can’t remember if it had more than one name) What changed with the name? In fact what change about production after the details video about a Rwby rewrite(hopefully you know what I talking about) It ok if it just speak in general terms than any details, just interest in your process!

This is a good opportunity to talk about my history with RWBY AUs from start to finish, so thanks for this ask.

I first got infected with the AU bug during Volume 3, when shit started going down in Episode 6 and my mind was abuzz thinking about how the story was going to unfold. This led me to create Shattered Tomorrow, which was about the predicted events and aftermath of the Fall of Beacon.

This later moved to RWBY: Visions, which was just a catch-all term that my other AUs would be grouped into at the time (much like how Star Wars: Visions is a collection of AUs, oddly enough). I made a few videos of it, as well as a subreddit which is now dead since I transitioned my community to YouTube instead, where this sort of AU/rewrite content reaches more people.

However, I soon released a video that more or less kickstarted my RWBYTubing days in earnest: RWBY Needs A New Beginning. The large positive reception I got for it led me to create a Discord server to discuss the project, at which point it grew into a community group project, and was renamed into RWBY: Cherish.

However, it was my first time leading a community project, so it encountered numerous fatal hurdles - namely the "too many cooks" problem. Everyone was pitching idea, writing docs and proposing characters to populate the world, but none of it was translating into real, tangible results. It lost steam about a year in and I grew disillusioned, especially after the conclusion of Volume 6. I was very close to dropping the show and leaving the fandom entirely.

I decided to step away and took a month-long break from the project and anything RWBY. It took me a while for me to recentre myself and start looking at my ideas again without premature outside influence. What did I really want from this project? Why do I keep returning to it?

I started sketching again, reclaiming pride in my own ideas again. Then, I discovered Cold Kingdom's album, which sparked my first real concepts for what would become RWBY: Remnants. But at the time, I created these under the placeholder title: We Are The Hunt.

I started gaining confidence in my creative self again, and I regained motivation to start over; more importantly, I got back my love for RWBY, and it was here I realised that I'll never be truly able to leave it behind until I put out my version of it for the world. I put everything I knew about this new AU into a few illustrations, used a song I liked that conveyed the tone I pictured, edited them together, and finally released the first trailer for RWBY: Remnants.

For the first time, I had put out the ideas in my head into something tangible, something real. Something I could watch and share with others. It wasn't just a video of abstract promises, of me talking about how cool it would be in concept. Why spend all that effort describing something with the same effort I could use to make it a reality?

I realised that while others enjoyed my ideas and were passionate enough to help with it, I was the only person who could be responsible for it, and only I knew what I wanted it to be. With all those lessons in mind, I went ahead and launched RWBY: Remnants.

It's been a journey of over 6 years now, and it's still going. People who dismiss my AU work so far as a string of failed projects fail to realise that creation is an ever-changing thing. It changes its nature along with the person making it. Someone who makes something that's the same from start to finish has not learned anything about it or themselves from the process - they're making something stagnant, and a stagnant work reflects its creator.

I can't say that I'll stick with my RWBY AU forever, especially given RWBY's uncertain future, or even that I'll be able to finish all I wanted to accomplish. But as long as I'm still doing it, I've not regretted a single second.

This may be a project based on RWBY, but it's RWBY told through my own eyes. I count myself very lucky that a lot of people want to see me make it a reality, so I hope by telling it, I can inspire other people that they can do the same. You don't have to be a giant company or a team of hundred.

In my case, I just needed a small group I could trust to help me make it happen, and a lot of time. I'm grateful for that.

The one thing I learned the most in this experience is one word: Resolve. It's not a glorious, inspirational thing: I'm not pushing myself over a mountaintop or running a heartstopping marathon: but somehow, in spite of myself, I just draw a little every week.

I tell myself I shouldn't give up - not because of right or wrong - but because I know this is something that I will always return to. Something that will always welcome me back. Something about RWBY and this project constantly draws me back into it, like an unanswered question. It's an unusual drive I don't expect others to have, but whatever it is, something like that may exist for you in another form. I don't know if you wanna call it a life calling or whatever, but it's just... the thing you keep coming back to. It's like your inclination; your nature.

If I'm a pencil, it's in my nature to draw or write, even if I only take myself out of the drawer every month or so to do it. It doesn't change my character or my morals. I just do the thing, and the thing feels right to do.

6 years on, that's what working on this project feels to me at this point. Part of me wants to prove something to myself, and to share something with the world. But I think with enough consideration, I can probably live without those things. But even without them... I'm still going to do the thing. Because it feels right to do the thing. I like doing RWBY things, and I don't see a reason to stop anytime soon.

Ninjago: Crystalized Redemption (Calling All Artists)

You guys asked for it.

Yes, I have officially started the work of a full on season rewrite of the final season of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu.

I say 'final' because Dragons Rising is a sequel show. Kind of like the Star Wars sequel trilogy. That doesn't count.

I think we can all agree that an 11 year story we've all grown up with deserves a better conclusion that ties everything together into a grand finale that's entertaining, action packed, heartfelt, and maybe a tear jerker?? (We'll have to see)

I swear there's more cartoons that's endings crash and burn than ones that actually work. (Star Vs, Steven Universe, blah blah other stuff) What is up with that?

In actuality, and this may come as a shock, I don't hate this season as much as everyone else seems to, though I do agree with pretty much all the complaints. I think Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitsu is a worse season personally. But Crystalized has a lot more requirements to fulfill than that, and is even more disappointing as a result.

And I do have experience with rewrites, as I also rewrote Total Drama Action, which you guys seemed to really like that. So thanks for the confidence.

However, this has far higher stakes than that... my luck.

Anyway, I am currently working on the outline of the rewrite as we speak. It is still going to be 30 episodes, 11 minutes each. However, some episodes will not have the same titles as canon, because from my structure so far, it's not the same as the show.

The rewrite will be posted here, and we will be going episodic once we feel the rewrite is good and ready, so stay tuned.

I'm going to allow fan artists to get a moment to shine and shed some love to the show with this.

And also help with criticisms towards my outlines and drafts of the rewrite, to make this work. Or if you have any crazy ideas for the story you want to suggest.

On a discord, I have a server for artists and potential writing editors.

This is where I'll be posting my outlines for episodes when I get them done, and on that server, artists can draw out the scenes. (Any scene, from the show or a completely new scene I add)

If I think the artwork is good, I'll add it to the post of the episode where viewers can get a great visual of the rewrite, and you will get a shoutout for your Tumblr blog.

This is also a place for said artists to suggest ideas for the narrative or scenes, so I can get a perspective on what people want to see. Criticize my outline or drafts so I can fix that before I officially post the episode, or otherwise.

Any art style will be allowed. You can replicate the show's style, or do your own, I will allow that. I do have some rules with that and it will be said on the discord too: Age appropriate. This is still a kids media. (Very high chance your work won't be on the post if you break that rule) In terms of non-lego artstyles, in the discord we will agree on a certain look for certain characters so that the story is consistent. We're not gonna have one image with massive bulky Cole and another where he's the same side as the others, that's what I'm getting at. We'll decide collectively what works, and I'll have some people make specific character designs as a board for other artists to use.

Also, this is unpaid. This gonna be for fan artists who love the show and want to help me give Ninjago the ending it deserved. And if they just want to get recognized and credited for their work.
