I was watching a thorough book review of a really bad fantasy series and the entire time I kept thinking "wow a Chorus of Dragons did that so much better"

The worldbuilding was just so very bad and I'm so spoiled with acod that it made me disappointed in how much potential was squandered in this other series. acod has ruined my expectations it's just so good.

Yeah!! It's spoiled me horribly, when I finished the series I was just like. How am I ever going to read another book again when I know this exists. How am I supposed to care about another story's worldbuilding when they don't even get into the variation in gender expression and expectations within the dominions of an empire.

The level of detail!! We know how food is imported and from where, there's occasional talk of the sewer systems, the strategic reasons for architectural decisions, discussion of both what the popular belief is (e.g. with the Eight) and how it's incorrect and how those incorrect beliefs were formed. And so much more!! I'm certain there's things Jenn Lyons wrote/planned that we've simply never seen and it just adds so much depth!!

I'm curious--what was the other series? I like to watch reviews of bad books/series and occasionally read them so I can gawk at them.
