Thoughts on Revoir Paris

Just my raw thoughts, not a review or anything

The process of healing is often portrayed as something that can fix you back to who you were before whatever traumatic event happened to you, Revoir Paris is not that kind of story. The movie follows Mia, a survivor from a terrorist attack in a small cafe in Paris trying to remember what happened in her repressed memories and find a way to move forward with her life. As you might expect from the brief synopsis, it's not a very easy watch and should be avoided by people who aren't comfortable with subject matters relating to intense violence and survivor's guilt, the film however is hopeful and when Mia finally finds closure she seems happy even if the event took her entire life away from her, she made the first bold step towards a new one.

The short length of this ramble shouldn't detract you from watching and if you enjoy film at all as an art form you might find a lot to like in Revoir Paris.

Je suis un peu déprimé.

J'ai envoyé des messages le mois dernier/il y a 3 semaines à 3 amis pas vu depuis longtemps car je suis en Touraine pour une dizaine de jours.

Le premier, j'ai l'habitude qu'il réponde que les 36 du mois.

La seconde n'a rien rep, alors que quelques jours avant elle m'avait remercié de mon SMS lui souhaitant son anniversaire.

Le dernier, que dalle. Et ses réseaux ont été supprimés, donc j'ai aucun moyen de savoir si c'est un vent, une perte /vol de téléphone ou que sais je ??? Un suicide/meurtre ??? Trop deg car on avait repris contact en septembre et la vibe était bonne :'((

Par contre, Flo et mon ex ont répondus au quart de tour et sont hype de me revoir.

Ça me soulage, mais bon, j'ai vraiment pas envie de perdre ces amitiés. Surtout que je suis la seule à relancer...

My trip to Paris in March went well, good sunny days, long walks, typical buildings, floral coffee shops and restaurants, lots of tourists. Time flew and I returned to Portugal, Leiria.

My big thank you, again, to a friend that made this trip a pleasant one, since the moment I landed till my departure. Thank you ♡
