Repost from @reviejane 💜 Originally, this was just a Before and After photo; In for 9 months (or 41 weeks +3 days to be exact) and out for 9 months but something just didn’t feel right about that. And although it was tough to share this middle image (one month postpartum), I think it’s very important in this case. I am a coach, a healthy, active-living influencer and I was totally naïve to think what my body would look like post birth. I really thought, being healthy, fit and young would mean I would be like so many other mama’s I saw on Instagram who simply, had baby and looked a little bloated afterwards. No hate towards mama's who experience this at all- we're ALL amazing. It just was not my reality. To say I was shocked would be an understatement, I was confused, saddened even. On one hand I was on cloud nine with the best thing that’s ever happened to me and on the other I was totally devastated about the mess and havoc it left on my body. I had a tough time accepting my post partum body and I think it needs to be known that not all people embrace their bodies straight away. Yes, I focussed on the miracle I had created and no it does not mean I’m ungrateful. I love my child more than anything, but I love my body too. It’s okay to take time to adjust to these changes. So to help others realize the reality of some postpartum journeys, like my own, I added the During pic. I am so happy with my body and so proud of what it has done for me, it just took time. Anything is achievable even if you don’t believe in that right now, you can prove yourself wrong in the best possible way. I worked out 3-5 times a week, for as little as 10 minutes per day some times. But each time I gave it all I had and I feel amazing for it, mainly because my body feels strong and capable again. If I could go back to myself at one month postpartum, I'd say - Rev, It is okay to cry, it doesn’t make you selfish. Give it time lovely, you will be able to embrace your body again. This is hard and its going to get harder but SO worth it. And damn girl, be proud of what you have done, you are amazing, be kinder to yourself! #strongmom #fitmom #noexcusesmom #fitmum #fitness #fitnessmotivation

What Every Woman Can Learn From 1 Mom's "During" Postpartum Photo
A post shared by Revie Jane Schulz (@reviejane) on Jun 20, 2017 at 2:33am PDT Revie Schulz was about to post a "before and after" snapshot on Instagram before deciding against it. Instead of showing what she looked like at 41 weeks pregnant compared to what she looks like at nine months postpartum, she decided that these two photos didn't represent her full journey. "Something just didn't feel right about that," she wrote on Instagram. "And although it was tough to share this middle image ( one month postpartum), I think it's very important in this case." Related My Real Postpartum Body Revie, who is a trainer in Australia, realized just how naive she was to think that her body would look any different than it did after she gave birth to her baby, Lexington. "I really thought, being healthy, fit and young would mean I would be like so many other mama's I saw on Instagram who simply had baby and looked a little bloated afterwards," she wrote. "No hate towards mama's who experience this at all - we're ALL amazing. It just was not my reality." Instead of pretending like her body just snapped back in shape and posting images that could potentially mislead other new moms, Revie decided to open up about her own personal struggle learning to love her new body. "To say I was shocked would be an understatement, I was confused, saddened even," she wrote. "On one hand I was on cloud nine with the best thing that's ever happened to me and on the other I was totally devastated about the mess and havoc it left on my body." After her hard experience learning to accept her postpartum body, she wants others to realize that not all people embrace their new bodies quickly after birth, and they shouldn't be judged for it. "Yes, I focused on the miracle I had created and no it does not mean I'm ungrateful. I love my child more than anything, but I love my body too," she wrote. "It's OK to take time to adjust to these changes. So to help others realize the reality of some postpartum journeys, like my own, I added the during picture." Revie wants people to understand that she is happy with her body and proud of what it was able to do during pregnancy - it just took time to get there. If she could go back in time and give her one-month postpartum self some advice, she'd say: Rev, It is OK to cry, it doesn't make you selfish. Give it time lovely, you will be able to embrace your body again. This is hard and its going to get harder but SO worth it. And damn girl, be proud of what you have done, you are amazing, be kinder to yourself! http://bit.ly/2rGMP9N

That fresh hair feeling! 💇🏽 So happy with my lightened up, trimmed and treated locks. It's been over 6 months since I got my hair cut/colored and I lapped up every minute including a little nap on the basin (seriously I could sleep standing up!) I hope I didn't scare the other clients 😂 I kept thinking to myself, will I even get to do this when Coconut is here!? We'll see! For now, I'm enjoying these luxuries and soaking up these last 4 months being solo Revie. I want to say thank you so much to Cat (@meowmow) for always giving me the best advice for my hair and creating my favorite looks while keeping my locks in top condition. You are a legend! Thanks for having me @goldssalon Crew! #FreshHair #goldssalon #HairDid #RevieJane

A big congratulations to superfit @reviejane from #crossfitbabes on her #pregnancy....she has some great advice below #regram ・・・ Coconut and I in the @gcbulletin today in an article to spread a positive message about fitness during pregnancy and all of its benefits 💪🏽 • I have to be honest, I was hesitant at first to share my journey of fitness and pregnancy with over 60K of you, the Internet can expose me and my baby to some really insensitive, mean people and after seeing #qualified, beautiful mumma's to be like @mishbridges & @sophie_guidolin go under fire for doing movements while pregnant it scared me. BUT I want to stand up for this because I believe in it completely and want to be an example to other mumma's out there. • So long as you have approval from your doctor, you are continuing to do what you have already been participating in and you go at your own pace, I encourage any woman to be #active during their pregnancy. • Each and every pregnancy journey is different, some can train 6 times a week, for me I've been training 4 times a week and one of those sessions might just be something as simple as a walk. We can't judge others by an Instagram post, one video or one photo, we don't know their journey or how fit that person is. • Thank you to everyone for your wonderful amounts of support. Luckily I have a beautiful Instagram community who I love and appreciate so much, thank you xo #reviejane #fitness #pregnancy #fitpregnancy #goldcoastbulletin #goldcoast #fitbirth

Here's my workout for today at 20 Weeks 💕 this really is the 'dream trimester' isn't it 👶🏽 I am so relieved the nausea is over, I feel strong and energized again! • 4 Rounds (as slow as I want 😊) 6 Dumbbell Thrusters (10kg Each) 12 Deadlifts 50kg 24 OH Lunge 10kg • 6 weeks ago, this would have been done at body weight because I didn't feel I had the energy, now I'm feeling so lucky to feel like Revie again 💪🏽💕 • Feeling so much kicking and love from my belly these days.
