Some stans absolutely do act like sn is still the majority, I was actually disappointed and confused that I kept running into so much ns lmaoo. They stay whining and complaining about girly naruto that straight women self insert into as if current ns isn't just that but reversed. Only thing is its probably less about being attracted to naruto and more wanting to be taken care of since thats what ns content centers around. The dynamic is always naruto somewhat taking care of or babying traumatized (quiet/fragile/subdued or tsundere supreme who refuses to ask for help) sasuke who takes up cooking/gardening or generally starts to act like a housewife.

There's sooo much content treating sasuke like a girl but for them it's justified because of the yin-yang dynamic. Ns stans draw for literally anything to make sasuke feminine but sn stans are still the cringe self insert devils. Can you imagine sn stans using boruto and sarada as proof for who's "the girl" in the relationship.

Idk which editor or whoever called sasuke the heroine but they've done irreparable damage, and that one shot manga mario or something too. Then there's posts saying sasuke is naruto's kushina and taking jabs at "Naruto self inserts" saying the popular naruto-kushina sasuke-minato isn't the way kishimoto sees it as if them and kishimoto know eachother.

I stumble upon ns fics sometimes and their descriptions of naruto as some (insert masculine adjective), sweaty, rough etc etc is so.. 😭 I've never read sn fics where sasuke is described like that. Don't even get me started on the way they draw him in fanart sometimes where naruto is broad and thick while sasuke is slim with the thinnest waist. If you follow ns stans you'd think sasuke was this sassy dainty twink or hinata 2.0. It's like they're so caught up in the symbolism and couple comments from creators they forget there's more to the characters and start pushing them into boxes, mainly the masculine/feminine active/passive ones.

Saw a post that all the girls in boruto apart from his family causes boruto lose like dumb salad made him sacrifice his eye and eida reversed his life only sumire helped him unlockens jougan in her arc with her gezo tenno and maybe in ts she will finally gain control of nue so jougan and sumire make way more sense just like naruhina and minakushi did. Borusumi have so many connection with each other like a fated pair because of their otsutsuki connection and parellels of nh and mk.

While borusara is just another sasunaru version of narusaku dynamic where sakura is with karin apperance and nothing more. Just a shipbait for borusumi.

Yeah BoruSumi works much better both personality wise and with what has happened in the series. While the connection with Nue and Jougan has a lot of potential as well.

It would be nice if Nue and Sumire can help Boruto figure out how control the Jougan since Boruto started figuring it out and using it during her arc would be a nice call back if she leads to him mastering it.

High School Naruhina Au

NARUTO'S POV

Naruto tossed and turned on bed. It's 3 a.m. and he couldn't sleep.

All because of that stupid confession.

He sighed. He promised himself not to overthink after the confession but of course he would.

He had punched a bully before for shaming his reputation as someone who had parents that ran away from the country due to his huge debt.

He drove his grandpa's old pick-up truck to the hospital back and at that time, he was only a 14-year-old boy. No license. The only thing he had back then was a one week experience of driving, taught by his grandpa.

He was almost fired from his part-time job as a waiter because he fell asleep at home after class. It's the only well-paid job at that area to pay his school fees and grandpa Hiruzen's hospital fees.

Naruto knew that whatever happens, he would never be the perfect guy for Hinata. He's too poor to be compared with the surgeon and professor's daughter.

He was seven when everyone in his class made fun of him. A boy without parents. That weird boy who was always quiet and sat at the back of the class. The kid who was always left alone whenever group works were conducted. To Naruto, he never cared. It's not as if he's dumb anyway. As long as he could finish his homeworks before deadline, then he's good. The teachers always worked hard to create a fun learning environment by including him in group works but he was always casted away whenever there is a class discussion.

He just couldn't enter their world. He tried his best to mingle but he couldn't. Naruto felt like a mirrorball shining for every dancers in the club. He shined for everyone but no one cared of him. They danced and danced, not aware of his existence who tried his best to fit in.

He wondered why his grandpa insisted on paying his education fees. He told him that he could work because he never want to shift the burden to his grandpa.

"Naruto, no. I want you to succeed. I know it's hard, boy. I know... but I don't want you to live a life like me or your parents. I want you to become an educated person who make this world a better place for people like us. Don't think about money. I want you to study. Let me pay your parents' debt little by little. Please, boy. Just study. I know you feel like giving up most of the time because of the surrounding you grew up in but I want you to be a successful man. That's the only wish I have."

If it weren't because of his grandpa who always worked hard as a chef, he would stop going to school and get a job to earn money instead.

One day, his grandpa was late to pick him up. Iruka sensei told him that his grandpa had to work another 2 hours so he waited in front of the school building.

He had an urge to pee so he climbed upstairs to the first floor. As soon as he went out of the toilet, he heard a classic music being played. Curious, he walked towards the place in which the music and played.

Inside, there were 18 dancers. 9 girls and 9 boys. They were practicing.

Naruto was about to leave when a girl with dark long hair ran towards the ballet room. She was sweating and it soaked her attire.

She opened the door, totally unaware of the boy standing outside the room and bow her head.

"I am so sorry! I am a new student and I'm late for my first practice in this school! Please accept my apology!"

The ballet instructor raised her eyebrows.

"You must be Hyuuga Hinata right?"

"Y- yes... ma'am!"

"Very well. I don't tolerate latecomers, Hyuuga. If you're late next time, you will have to dance at the school field. You're forgiven today because you're new here."

"O-okay! ma'am!"

The instructor glared at her.

"Don't call me ma'am, I'm not married!"

"B- but you look..."

The girl was about to finish her sentence when a murderous gaze was shot at her.

"O-okay, sensei!"

The latecomer was then instructed to join the other dancers for warming-up activities.

"Hyuuga, since you're new here, please show us your dance. I want to see your moves."

Hinata nodded her head and said; "I would like to perform The Sleeping Beauty Aurora Act 2 Vision."

Murmurs and whispers of disbelieve were clearly heard among the dancers.

Something about her intrigued Naruto because from the looks of it, she didn't look like a ballet dancer. She looked like a girl who was always loud and never care of her appearance.

Naruto didn't know much about ballet but he knew that to be very good in it, you need to show your gracefulness, elegance, formalized steps, intricate gestures and flowing patterns.

This girl looks nothing like a ballet dancer. She wore glasses and her bun was disheveled due to her rush. Her dancewear was soaked with sweat and it looks totally bad for her first impression at new school.

As soon as the music starts, she started dancing.

Her moves were not really perfect. Some of her twirls were a bit imbalanced but she managed to make it perfect by doing an assemble' (a jump from one foot, landing simultaneously with 2 feet).

Naruto felt as if he was watching a show. A show only made for him. He knew nothing about ballet.

But... he liked her expression. She was focused. She's trying her best to perform but it's not like she hated it. She was trying but at the same time, enjoying the dance. It's as if she never cared what the audience would think of her. All she knew was that she loves ballet.

The music stopped and she bowed her head.

Immediately, she scratched her head and smiled goofily.

"Hehehe.. it wasn't my best but I'm still trying to improve my moves."

Naruto wanted to continue watching her practice but Iruka sensei approached him and told him that his grandpa had arrived.

The next day, he was late because grandpa's Hiruzen old pick-up truck needed to be repaired. He dashed to his class only to be scolded and stood next to a familiar girl at the corridor.

It was her. She's late again and she was wearing a leotard under her school uniform. It looked odd on her.

"Late too, huh?" she asked.

Naruto nodded his head. His grandpa never taught him how to speak with girls so he took the safe method.

"Huh.. I was late yesterday for my first practice and now I'm late for class..."

Naruto stayed silent.

"Hey. Let's ditch this class. Math is boring anyway."

"Skipping class is prohibited. We will be given demerits and it's not going to look good on our report cards."

"Boo! You're boring! C'mon!"

This time, she pleaded him by pulling his hand.

Naruto remained silent because he didn't know what to do.

The girl won't give up so she stood in front of him and grabbed his face so that he's watching her closely.

Naruto felt a sudden fast thud in heart. Something new to him, as soon as he gazed at the ethereal, lavender eyes.

He was too speechless and a trail of searing heat seeped through the veins in his cheeks. Hinata held her hand tightly and ran towards the ballet gym.

Again, Naruto couldn't stop watching her dance as she turned the music on and dance.

As he reached home, he asked his grandpa about the sudden thud in his heart but his grandpa just smiled and told him that he would know later.

Little did he know that the feeling developed into something treacherous, dragging him like gossamers to sleepless nights and jealousy.

He loves everything about her and if she rejects him, he'll live a lone, empty life again. A life with none of her odd appearance, hearty laughter, clumsiness and her magic: ballet.

A single tear rolled down his cheek.

I should be worried about grandpa and more important things to do, yet here I am being hopeless. I should meet her tomorrow and tell her to just forget that stupid confession. Who am I to love someone as beautiful as her?

With that dreadful thought, he closed his eyes and tried to sleep.

Who is more protective?

Hard to quantify, since we know that both are willing to give their lives for the other. Usually the fandom thinks of Hinata as being softer and Naruto as being rougher in terms of protectiveness, i.e. Naruto would be angry at people who attacked Hinata and Hinata would be the type to soothe and comfort, which is fine and true and I like that too, you know.

But I'd like to point out the reverse happens too. When people start doubting Naruto's abilities, Hinata actually gets angry. Take a look at this.

She's clearly scowling in displeasure at this comment. Like, Hinata is a sweet, kind, gentle person who doesn't like fighting, but that doesn't mean she displays zero anger or negative emotions ever. Remember how she ripped Hanabi's eyes out of Toneri's sockets? I like this nuance. She is very, very protective of her loved ones. A gentle fist is still a fist.

And likewise, Naruto is a brash, rough person with a huge competitive streak towards certain people. But with Hinata? He's sweet, tender, gentle, and kind.

He doesn't treat her roughly, ever. He cradles her hand and pulls spiderwebs from her hair and lets her drink water from his hands. Essentially, he's doing the sort of things you would think a person of Hinata's personality would do.

So Hinata can be a bit rough and protective and Naruto can be soft and protective. And vice versa.

It's a balance in terms of protective behavior, I'd say.

Invalid argument, because you're insinuating here that Sasuke didn't care about Sakura, when in actuality, he was still shown to see the shadow of his family within Team 7, despite his actions. The point was in helping your dear friend who was obviously in desperate need of it. Despite Sasuke being my favourite character, I love Sakura too, and I wouldn't ship her with Sasuke if I didn't think that Sasuke was an amazing person at heart. Sakura obviously agreed with me.

Toxic Simping Vs One Sided Love : Naruto Anime

Naruto has a crush on Sakura: 

This is usually seen as Naruto’s pure love being ignored by Sakura despite multiple attempts. As a result of which Sakura is usually Hated by the fandom. ‘But here’s the thing. A Girl is NOT a trophy or an object that you can win just because how passionately you are trying to achive it. She’s a human being and her personal preference matters. 

And this is where this trope becomes toxic simping. As the other person, who has not done anything other than your reject your advances, Is framed as the bad person. Sakura is always blamed for this. Imagine if it was some other character doing the same with Hinata, everyone would have called him a creep.

But since Sakura hate is a cool and trending topic, everyone wants to join in.

Obito has a crush on Rin:

Same thing about Obito , who has a crush on rin but Rin in fact likes Kakashi. And now Obito blames Kakashi for his broken heart. Even some fans treat Rin as a Joke ( although not as much as Sakura, since Rin died), simply bcoz she rejected our good boy Obito.

Don’t get me wrong, its not just an issue when a boy is constantly following a girl. Its an issue even when the genders are reversed.

One of the main reason fans hate on Sasuke is how he ignores all the girls that really like him. But is he really obliged to say yes to everyone?

So now his sole purpose in life is to Avenge and restore his Clan by killing his Elder brother.

And for that he has to focus only on getting stronger and nothing else. Can you blame him for taking his training seriously?? Nope. Since his task is ... Killing Itachi fxking Uchiha. Like how do u even think about Killing someone like that??

He knows he has no life, and that;s more reason he doesn;t want to involve anyone in his life. He even mentions that to Sakura multiple times in early episodes before leaving konoha.

One-Sided Love of Rock Lee:

Now, why this is different that Naruto and Obito’s Simping? 

Its bcoz unlike Naruto who constantly tries to bother Sakura, Rock lee is more gentle. He wants to show sakura his love but also doesnt constantly bother her. And after realising that Saku loves Sasuk, He stops bothering Sakura, which i find is a very mature thing to do. And also very underrated. Just like many other things in the series, this aspect of Rock lee is also ignored and fans simply talk abt how uch naruto/obito loved their crushes.

ALSO...

I know the intentions of a person passionately loving someone even when they are rejected is usually meant to be reflecting a true love. But at times, the other person gets a bad reputaion for being to rude, which is not at all the case. Its definetly not the intention of Kishimoto but thats what it ends up representing for most fans. Lazy writing or people judging the writing from their own narrow minded perspective?

P.S. I ship Sasusaku, Naruhina , my objection is to how its presented.

I’d like to think that this is what’s at the heart of this statement, considering we don’t see as much of her as we do Bakugo or Todoroki. (Honestly though, I kind of feel the same way about Iida.) What I don’t get is people arguing that Izuku means a lot to Ochako even if the reverse isn’t true.

The funny thing is that it’s easy to think this. Midoriya isn’t necessarily in a serious rivalry with her for the top spot of their class, as he may be argued to be with Bakugo and Todoroki. At the same time, a lot of Ochako’s development seems to be tied to her views and feelings for him. At this point in the series, we haven’t gotten as big an emphasis on her as those other two. It would make sense to say that Izuku doesn’t rely on Ochako for development, right?

No. It wouldn’t. There are at least three reasons why.

First is the entrance exams. I don’t know if it works for me to make too big a deal of Ochako stopping Midoriya from falling before the exam. However, I do think that is a great parallel with stopping him from falling near the end of the exam, which is the moment I actually want to talk about.

Both moments serve an important part of his developments as a hero. At this particular point, he is still not in enough control of his quirk to stand on his own two feet as a hero. If he’s going to learn to become the greatest hero of all time, he’s going to need to learn to control his quirk. [insert discussion about spoilers here]

Second is his hero name. Personally, I’m not hyped over calling Izuku Midoriya “Deku“ because it was the name he was bullied with. At the same time, it’s the name he’s chosen as his hero name. Consider that the reason he adopted it in the first place is because Ochako managed to flip the meaning of it for him into a positive thing.

This isn’t unimportant. It’s noted that this might be the name he’s remembered by. That proves to be true for at least Eri up to this point in the anime. The fact that this changed because of Uraraka’s association with it is a pretty big deal.

However, the big one for me is their friendship. Even if he came up with a different name and wasn’t indebted to her over the entrance exam, this would still be enough for me to want to see them be together. We don’t really see Midoriya have friends before UA. I’d be hard pressed to call Bakugo and his posse his friends as the story begins. (They may have been friends in the past, but I can’t count that given circumstances.)

He doesn’t have people who could rightly be called friends until coming to UA and reuniting with Ochako and Iida after meeting them at the exam. Of course, he gains more friends as the series continues, but they were among his first friends. That’s a pretty big deal, considering his past.

Now that’s reason enough to think the argument we’re dealing with is wack. However, it’s probably worth remembering what the argument we’re talking about is. It’s that Ochako’s development is dependent on Midoriya, while his isn’t. That’s dependent on Ochako not having much character outside of her involvement with Midoriya. I would argue that gets over exeggerated by fans.

I’m probably biased in this, considering Ochako is my favorite character in the series. But Ochako wanted to go to UA before meeting Midoriya. Her goal was always to become a rescue hero. Her favorite hero was already No. 13. Her original motivation was making money for her parents to live an easier life. These things haven’t changed since she’s come to revolve around Deku. Rather, since meeting Deku, those things have been refined and changed.

Can it be argued that we don’t get enough of Ochako personally reaching her goals of how she came to like 13 or come to find UA? I guess, even being a supporting character. This isn’t going to stay the case considering the next few arcs to be animated. Even still, I wouldn’t mind seeing more behind Ochako.

That being said, I’ve seen people straight up say Ochako has no character outside of Deku. I almost wish I was sorry that this sounds ridiculous to me. I don’t know that she’s the best WSJ heroine ever, but I can’t imagine her being the worst, especially if this is the reason why. I’ve recently changed my view on this kind of thing regarding Juvia Lockser in Fairy Tail, and I can’t even say that Ochako’s close to on Juvia’s level.

The reason I changed my tune is because I’ve come to recognize that a character can be developed because of their involvement with another person. If you don’t know what I mean, I talked about Deku’s involvement with All Might earlier this week. I even questioned if it’s a good thing for him to emulate All Might. I have yet to see the argument that he’s a bad character because he’s an All Might fan boy and his development is way more dependent on him than Ochako’s is on him.

As I’m wrapping up, I’d like to say that I find the way Midoriya and Ochako’s characters mesh to be so heartwarming. That’s not just in seeing their canon interactions and fan works involving. I like that she wants to be a resuce hero and is responsible for saving Deku more than once. I like that he’s aspiring to replace the No. 1 Hero and serves as an inspiration for Ochako to accomplish her own goals.

It’s often said that Horikoshi is writing MHA as a fan of the Big 3 who has learned from the others. (Same goes for Yuki Tabata with Black Clover.) As a fan of Naruhina and Ichihime, it’s great to see Horikoshi’s handing of what seems to be the main ship for the series. I’m also glad that, outside of Tumblr, this seems to be really popular with fans of the series.

I think you make good arguments about how marrying neji would take away tenten's freedom but I was actually wondering about how you view the ship from the perspective of someone who is married? Sorry of that doesn't make sense. I mean like how compatible you think their personalities are if the story was written differently.

Hey there anon!

So this will be my third time addressing the pairing and not to say it's any fault of yours, but I hope it's the last.

I care most about what makes a character develop in a way that is meaningful and beneficial for the overarching story. This extends into the pairings I choose to ship. I've also never been a big shipper to begin with and I'm indifferent to most pairings from any show I watch.

I also am married. Personally, fictional ships or shipping wars do not interest me in the slightest. I'd rather focus on my own, real, interpersonal relationships.

To expand on why I don't like talking about this pairing in particular: it's because I have been openly harassed by fans of the pairing both on this blog and on a previous blog that I eventually closed because my inbox blew up with angry stans that, a few years ago, I was not mentally equipped to handle. I've responded to around two to three asks openly on the blog, but at this point I've deleted in the range of 10-12 messages that I did not see fit to dignify with a response.

I figure that most of these comments come from underage followers who are too immature to understand complexities of romantic relationships or are simply too disinterested in talking about the literature to have open discourse with. They just want to ship what they believe the characters are like, have headcanons, and ignore the evidence contrary. As an adult, I have to handle this with patience and understanding. I'm not about to rage on any anon follower because I don't know their age or personal circumstances. And frankly, a fictional pairing is not worth tearing someone down over–I speak from experience.

Now, on to answering your question in full:

When it comes to the narrative, there isn't a common thread (theme, motif, storyline, etc.) that ties Neji and Tenten together. They both have the goal to get stronger, (As is the theme of team Gai at large) but Neji's story is MOST closely tied to Hinata/The Hyuga, Lee, and Naruto (in that order.) All three of those characters are sufficient enough to spur Neji's growth in his own arc. Tenten's support as a teammate is also sufficient enough. They are good battle partners (combining long range and short range) but the same is also said for Tenten and Lee. There's nothing special here. Nothing that screams "chemistry" or that "stands out."

The reason people love pairings such as SnS, NaruSaku, NaruHina, Sasusaku, SaiIno, ShikaTema, etc. is because all of these pairings have two partners that can equally contribute to the other's growth. Neji and Tenten simply do not have this. Tenten adds nothing to Neji that he does not already have: her support already comes from multiple other people in his life that understand his situation better. Tenten is often shown having a more common thread with Lee: they are both ninja that came from no special background and are overcoming their own weaknesses to pave their own path. You might say Tenten could humanize Neji or humble him, but Naruto and Lee already do that. Neji's closest female relationship is with Hinata, and that's where we see him become softer and more patient. Hinata is the one that humanizes Neji the most, and it's because they also share a same arc: literally, the Hyuga clan arc. She has the emotional intelligence to reach Neji and the position to make him believe in the determination of the once-talentless. That's THEIR arc as siblings.

I would also like people to ask themselves what exactly Neji can offer Tenten. In the reverse, I strongly can affirm that Neji does NOTHING for Tenten. He can train with her? So can the rest of her team, and she does. He can encourage her? So can the rest of her team, and they do–far more than Neji. He can calm her down when Gai/Lee do their antics? Okay, but is being a walking pacifier really a great foundry for a relationship? (Also, as Tenten gets older, part of her personal development is finally accepting her own goofy side and joining in!) In fact, his relationship and subsequent would inhibit her stated goals and dreams.

Tenten flat out does not want to have a traditional, feminine lifestyle of getting married. And as a married person, it's not impossible to understand why! Relationships and marriages are HARD work! It's not sailing into the sunset with kids and a house! They require commitment and upkeep! Sacrifice! They are a huge stressor (even the best marriages!) and you must balance the feelings and dreams of another person when you are deciding your future and make personal sacrifices.

Tenten wants to follow her hobbies and her dream is one of self-determination. Marrying Neji means introducing a rigid, hierarchical clan structure for which Tenten has no experience/interest in and is ill-prepared to handle. Her blunt, insensitive attitude would not fare well in the formal atmosphere of Hyuga affairs–this isnt a shoujo of rich guy/average girl. This is a shounen. She'll be expected to raise children and retire/hiatus from her career. This expectation does not help her goals or dreams and effectively halts her personal development.

In fact, had this pairing actually happened, shippers might have been happy that their pairing "made it," but I have no doubt that people would have ALSO called Tenten yet ANOTHER victim of Kishi's 'housewife' troupe next to Sakura and Temari. Making her Neji's wife erases what little personal identity and development she had. Why would you want to put the ONE woman who pursued her career and goals in a relationship and erase that? Because they have an aesthetic? I surely hope you never then complain about the fates of Sakura or Temari, then!

And on that note, "fixing the writing" to where Tenten is an 'empowered working mom' does NOT address Tenten's personal desires. I see this most often discarded in favor of ANY of her ships.

Tenten's purpose in the story is to show a woman who branches out from the norm. I also seldom see a woman in any story who is as balanced and flawed as she is while still being lovable. Also, despite relegating the other kunoichi to housewife status, Kishi deliberately let Tenten be a single woman who is not criticized for her decision. Japan itself still has a traditional mindset in that regard, and seeing the other cast members treat Tenten as normal–not even commenting on her relationship status–is a quiet, but no less significant addition to the story. It normalizes career women in a traditional atmosphere.

Gag about her store aside, Tenten's shop isn't doing poorly because she's a bad businesswoman or a spinster. It's been clearly stated by Tenten herself that it's because they are in a time of peace. Again, a small but significant detail that gets overlooked in Tenten's story. As Boruto progresses and war seems to loom on the horizon, I have no doubt her shop may get more business soon.

Tenten and Neji have the making of good friends and comrades with some common ground, and it's for the betterment of both of them personally that they stayed that way throughout the series. Good relationships add to characters and stories–they don't take things away.

Hopefully this finally puts my full opinions on the matter to rest. Fandom can do whatever it wants, but I'd like to not see any more of the ridiculous "pairing war" nonsense pop up in my inbox. Nejiten has FAR better reasons to stay platonic than it ever will to become canon, even in a rewritten story where Neji lives. If you want a pairing with this aesthetic but actually have chemistry and a shared narrative, look at Ren/Nora of RWBY (which, coincidentally, is actually one of the few pairings I enjoy.)

NaruSaku

Does anyone know of a list that compiles all of the NaruSaku fics that DOESN’T involve an evil Sasuke or a harem? Or and of any great Shinachiku fics in which again doesn’t involve an evil Sasuke or a harem?

Like I never saw/see Sasuke as being compatible with sakura but after the final fight with Naruto and Sasuke literally crying, I don’t see him wanting to kill Naruto and Sakura anymore. I do think he would be on a road to redemption after paying some time for his crimes, but I also don’t see him wanting to stay back in Konoha. In a way it is ironic because Naruto and Sasuke basically switched places, Naruto was condemned by the village at first and Sasuke was adored, but then now in adulthood, it’s reversed. I see Sasuke traveling and saving/helping small villages here and there or and traveling with Karin. 

And I don’t think it needs to be stated, but Naruhina absolutely makes no sense at all, on Naruto’s side and just there’s a lack of chemistry overall, it was so forced together. I loathe NaruHina with a passion because it literally spits in the face of what was in the making since the beginning and comes out of nowhere. 

Now just because I loathe NaruHina doesn’t mean I hate Hinata as a character (tbh her presence throughout the series is just like meh, she’s a side character thats’s what she is and she wasn’t given a lot of depth), I actually ship her with Kiba, chemistry wise and interaction-wise. I also like the thought of instead of a housewife, Hinata grows stronger and becomes the head of her clan. Like if she doesn’t get married to Kiba and instead marries a clan member then she’s like over them and just pure boss lady. That’d be awesome. 

However, I am a firm believer that not EVERY character has to be paired off at the end and even have kids at the SAME time. I like the idea of a single Hinata as well, like maybe later in life she meets someone. 

I don’t hate any of the characters individually, but I can hate the person someone becomes in a pairing. I am a Sakura fan through and through but I can’t see her being happy with an absentee husband/father of her child and be like ‘ooh a forehead poke connects us, he lovessss me’ (forehead poke also means creating distance/leaving not love’. Sakura is emotional and affectionate she wouldn’t be able to do that. Naruto, on the other hand, you know every day will express his love and she needs that.

Although their attraction is instant he is no longer the Naruto she once knew, and soon enough Hinata is thrust into a dangerous yakuza conspiracy.

“Hate to love” by suryass - Rated M, Modern AU, One-shot.  They hated each other, at least that’s what they liked to think.

“I want you to cry” by Devahhole - Rated E for a lot of things like graphic murder, High School AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. A sociopath blinded by revenge runs into his greatest opponent.

MADDY I know sasuke isnt that type of person but i really started to get boring i mean other all couples at least held hands in naruhina wedding but there aint much sasusaku i mean cmon guys it wont hurt with just a holding hands or a hug or forehead kiss after even married , sasuke still no change their marriage aint new either it has been 12 years more or so, dont you think so?

Well Chouji and Karui didn’t hold hands at Naruto and Hinata’s wedding either. In fact, I don’t even think Karui attended it, just sayin’.

In any case, Sasuke and Sakura’s canonisation is enough for me; I don’t require them to have many moments in order for me to enjoy the ship because just the knowledge that they’re partners for life is satisfactory. The material we’ve gotten so far is the type of material that I expected to get following their canonisation and the knowledge we received of Sasuke’s occupation.

I understand that some fans may be a little frustrated at their relative lack of moments, but not me. First and foremost, I’m a Naruto fan - My being a SS fan comes later, so the lack of shipping moments doesn’t really frustrate me because I’m more invested in the series than I am in their relationship.

I feel that for many people, it’s probably the reverse, and they’re more invested in the ship than the series itself, which may explain the heightened frustration.

Naruto Shippuden Ending 34 perfectly demonstrates what we’ve all known for years, ever since Chapter 498 was released seven years ago: NaruHina == MinaKushi in regards to personality, albeit with the genders reversed: Naruto is to Hinata what Kushina was to Minato. Hinata is to Naruto what Minato was to Kushina. Naruto and Kushina = A boisterous, loud-mouthed, hot-blooded bully hunter who wanted to become Hokage and was oblivious to the one and only person who always loved and acknowledged them since the very beginning, until they realized their underlying love for their quiet nice counterpart, who is their soulmate. Hinata and Minato = A quiet, nice, gentle person who has the patience of a saint and was the very first person to acknowledge their boisterous counterpart, long before anyone and everyone else did, and have always been in love with and devoted to their boisterous counterpart ever since the day they first met as children.
