AUDIO FILES ARE FINISHED. 4 YEAR PROJECT DONE
YES! YOU HEARD RIGHT! EVERY AUDIO FILE EXCEPT FOR A FEW. GUYS, please, if you run across something you like, like and reblog it! I worked so hard on these for years and lost money. Don't worry if something is "Old". This is an archive for YOU. USE IT. The ones NOT uploaded break tumblr's rules of content rules for racism. So, no no Bill or Micah being racist towards Charles, Javier etc. No Bill/Kieran audio. I don't feel comfortable with it and I don't want to be reported. Final one is Lenny's father's pocket watch story. It has so many triggers in it, I couldn't cut everything out without it being a mess. Finally, I did a poll and people voted that I write transcripts for all of the files that need it. So you WILL see some of them reblogged!

I have some tidbits I'll find and post! If you want an individual piece, let me know!

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recognized the role of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for implementing a program that has reduced infant mortality rates in Black communities.
The director of the department’s program designed to integrate faith-based organizations in health care recognized and praised the Church at a Washington D.C. event on April 12.
As part of the Church’s partnership with the NAACP, Church leaders met with Vickie Terry, executive director of the Memphis Branch of the NAACP, to brainstorm in 2022.
What the Church and NAACP are doing to help new and expectant mothers in Memphis
She responded that “it disturbs me that [we] are sitting in a zip-code that has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the country.” Dr. Michael V. Beheshti, then serving as an Area Seventy in the Church’s North America Southeast Area at the meeting and a practicing physician, determined to learn what he could and see how the Church could help.
The Reverend Dr. Que English leads the HHS’s center for faith-based and neighborhood partnerships. At the April 12 event English organized, she highlighted this NAACP-Church partnership emphasizing the role of faith-based organizations..."

Details that I've noticed about Arthur Morgan-
-He, for the most part, despises male touch, especially if it's overly affectionate. He gets tense anytime a man hugs him and wants it to be over as quick as possible (Jamie, Mickey) and he looks visibly offended when Professor Bell touches him. He even sometimes gets annoyed when Dutch touches him on his shoulder, someone who he considers a father figure.
-On the flip side, he does not mind female touch at all. He even initiates it sometimes (Tilly, the girl at Beaver Hollow). Now one could argue that they were high stress situations, but if Tilly was a dude, he would've just set her free, make a snide remark, give her a gun, and then he'd expect her to help him with the fighting. He is completely cool with the nun giving him a hug and doesn't get offended when Mary Beth touches his hand in their therapy session.
- He seems to be pretty well read. He knows Shakespeare, with Romeo and Juliet, and Icarus. He makes other literary references. This is probably due to Dutch. Dutch is clearly very well read and cultured. However, Arthur seems more interested in practical works like guides then philosophy and stories, given that the only book he has on his tent desk is a plant guide.
- He's great at remembering faces and less so on remembering names.
- He does have an amazing propensity to remember physical features, like how he is able to create amazing portraits of the people he meets without consistent reference. It's incredible and works back to the whole great at remembering faces thing. Same goes for animals.
- He is very curious. He is always touching things, looking at things, critiquing things, and trying to understand how they work.
- He generally refuses to be emotionally open with men and does it only with women- this could be due to the idea of the Cult of Domesticity. I've made a post about it before. Compare him speaking with the nun to Reverend Swanson. Compare him speaking to John about Dutch leaving him to him speaking to Sadie about Dutch leaving him.
- He is very connected or is fond of artistic people. He and Mary Beth talk about their journals. He is fond of Albert Mason's photography and helps him out. He is interested in Charles Chataney's artistic work, even if he doesn't like it or connect with it.
- Since a lot of camp members respond to Arthur's antagonizations with something like "not again" or "I knew I'd be next", it's safe to assume Arthur will go off on people from time to time, regardless if you play high or low honor.
- Does not have a fixed temperament. In some missions, he is more energetic and in others, he is more downtrodden. Very realistic and I fucking love it.
- Has direct eye content at all times- will look anyone in the eye and does not give a fuck. NPCs will look away from him if he stares at them.
- Gets mad when men don't behave like men, especially when it concerns women. He gets pissed at John for not stepping up and being a man to his family. He gets annoyed and even pissed off when asking why Beau couldn't have helped Penelope Braithwaite as she is his woman.
- Given how the camp falls to shit whenever Arthur isn't donating, we can safely conclude that Arthur is the most valuable member of that camp, bar maybe Hosea and Dutch.
- He is very reminiscent of the Dark Romantic, which is really interesting as a lot of times, it can be looked at as the middle ground between Romantacism and Realism, two ideologies that were very popular in the 19th century. I will make a full analysis regarding this later.
- Introverted, but not shy at all. In fact, he's very charismatic and is just as good as dealing with people as Dutch and Hosea (The Riverboat Mission) This 'dumb, mumbling' cowboy thing he's dumbed down to in the fandom is an insult to his character.
- He probably acted like a father figure to Jamie Gillis when he was still with Mary, given the fact that he taught him how to ride a horse. Will probably also make a full post about this later.
- Some people say that Arthur is around 5'10-11. Others say He's 6'0-3. Whatever his height actually is, he's still way taller than the average man during this time period, who was around 5'6. Now imagine that with muscles and armed to the teeth- fucking terrifying.
- Very sentimental. He keeps a photo of his supposedly no good Pa and wears his hat. He keeps a photo of his mother who he doesn't really remember at all. He keeps a photo of his dog, a horseshoe that probably belonged to a dead and beloved horse. He keeps a flower from his mother. Keeps a photo of Mary as well. If he had a photo of Isaac, he'd probably keep that too.
-Arthur died at 36 years old from Tuberculosis if you play high honor. The real gunslinger and outlaw Doc Holliday died at the same exact age and the same exact way.
- Genuinely doesn't give a fuck about movements, social issues, and cultural issues, but does care about individual people.
- I love him
- So fucking much
- 😃

Random Reverse Runaways au headcanons
In no particular order! Mostly focused on the pre-runaway days, in Reverse Falls. A lot of characters aren't mentioned because this got long and I can't fit everything in. Feel free to send in an ask if you're curious about something/someone in particular.
The Gleeful twins were both homeschooled. Meanwhile, Gideon and Pacifica went to local public schools, same with Owen.
There wasn't a weirdmaggeon in the Reverse Falls timeline. Instead there was a failed attempt by Will Cipher to escape Reverend Ford. It went badly for everyone.
Gideon and Pacifica were supposed to go home after the summer ended. The Reverend made sure that didn't happen. Letting the troublemakers out of sight was not an option until he was sure they were no longer a problem. And then he forgot about them until they were one again.
Owen wasn't in town that first summer. He arrived a few years later. He could've gone back home to his father. But his father wasn't a great guy...
Dipper/Mason and Mabel were both bullies to the other kids growing up. Mabel was a mean girl and Mason just scared the shit out of everyone off stage. They had a grudge against the Pines siblings. Still do. But now it runs deeper than ever.
It goes both ways. The Pines siblings are resentful and aware of everything the Gleeful family has done and are capable of, to others and to them.
Gideon and Pacifica both have issues with food and food scarcity. Owen often had them over for dinner. His mom didn't mind. She worked so much, she barely noticed, but she seemed to like them when she was around
The Reverend is Southern Gothic as hell, a scam artist fire and brimstone preacher and miracle worker in a long dark coat. The whole of Reverse Falls is under his spell. Now that Dipper and Mabel are adults he's anxious about continuing to expand the family. Mabel hasn't found the right man (or woman, she adds sometimes). Dipper, on the other hand...
Speaking of Southern, Owen is actually from Alabama. Rough place to be an openly trans kid in 2012. He's still got a bit of an accent even now that he's an adult. Most of what he cooks is from his home region.
Nobody saw Will for a long time after the failed escape attempt. Even Dipper and Mabel never saw any sign of the guy. But sometimes, you could hear muffled screaming coming from their manor...
Yes, btw, Dipper still goes by Dipper. Only the Reverend calls him Mason.
After getting stuck in Reverse Falls, Pacifica and Gideon did seem to learn their lesson, for about a year or two. But one day, they watched the Mystery Tent from a distance
"We need to do something."
"Yeah... But what can we do?"
Cause problems on purpose, apparently.

Hey buddy reading your fantastic post on sister vs reverend and agree 110% but also curious do you think Arthur's ability to be seen as a good person and be entirely a 'good' presence in someone's life eg. Calderon, Albert Mason, only knowing him as a good person is a reflection that due to his maturity - even before the diagnosis - Arthur without the influence of the gang would have been able to actually be a good person and really leave behind the objectively heinous actions he committed with the gang and crueler aspects of his behavior (I mean still being a man from 1899 but less cruel for cruelty's sake).
Kind of exploring it as a narrative parallel where part of the tragedy of rdr2 is while Arthur never got the chance he would have been able to hang up the guns and live contently as a loner who would randomly help people out and be seen as a good person in more of an escape his past way vs John who in the epilogue is still very much relapsing into gunslinging to Abigail's disgust and in rdr1 explicitly tells people he isn't a good person and not to mistake him for one.
Like Arthur would have tried to be a good person and wanted to be a good person if he got the chance to live post-gang in more of a mirror to Mary-Beth and Tilly, meanwhile John is more self aware he cannot escape his past and still considers it very much a part of who he is and all he's good for. Kind of part of John's angst about not talking about Arthur being that Arthur would have been able to settle into the new life he was given the opportunity to pursue than he was and survivor's guilt.
Arthur Morgan outside of the gang
I do not see many situations where Arthur would be able to escape the gang simply because he cares a lot for the gang and he feels responsible for them, but for the most part yes he could live civil also because he has revealed a few times where times were tough he has worked on a farm, but let's go through some "possible" scenarios.
The gang makes it to Tahiti, I absolutely feel like Arthur would be able to live a civil life, he is a person who is quite aware of himself and he is not at all impulsive so he wouldn't struggle as John did, however, that said, as soon as Dutch had an inkling of a plan for something criminal, he would do it. He wouldn't be happy about it because he does want the gang to be safe, but in the scenario where they make it to Tahiti at least some of the members who died would still be alive and he wouldn't have the same distrust towards Dutch.
Another could be the gang dying, him as the sole survivor making it out of something that went wrong. Again, yes he would be able to theoretically become a "good" man, but I don't think he would want to, I think in this scenario it would be a matter of want. I don't think he would go for revenge, but he would not necessarily have the means to live civilly and it would also be a huge change from a violent gang member who was the sole survivor of a shootout to a farmer. With time? Maybe, but I think his life of crime would not end immediately and I don't know if he would reach that happy end because he might get frustrated or sloppy, mess up, and get caught.
Another could be if he survived the end of the gang. I don't know simply because the fact he knew he was dying drove so many of his actions, if he hadn't died after his fight with Micah (saying with John, high honor) he would have gone to help John and make sure his brother was safe before he died. I think if Arthur hadn't had TB, he might have sought Mary after making sure John is okay so he could get his happy ending too, he promised her and I think he would have stayed firm on that promise.
Now something I see often is people saying what if Dutch and Hosea had never met Arthur, would he have been good? I am going to make a longer post about this as well, but I stand firm on no, absolutely not. Very fast math, Arthur was 11 when he was orphaned and he met Dutch when he was 14, he had three years doing petty crime, where he was a menace. Arthur was not a good kid back then, he was not calm either, I made a post about that, Arthur got his friendliness and his ideals from Dutch, he used to be an "all goes" kind of kid to "save those who need saving, feed those who need feeding, shoot those who need shooting," from Dutch.
Without Dutch, without having been in the gang, Arthur would have ended in one of three places (most likely), at the end of a noose, with a gunshot dead in a ditch, in another gang. I do not see how a kid by himself after three years of crime and a full life of seemingly no support would turn around and become a good man. Yes, if someone helped him, took him in, maybe, but there weren't people back then who did that, criminal kids were on every street corner, they were the norm and even Dutch took Arthur in for himself because saw potential in him.

Flowers I Associate with Angels of Death Characters!
*Note, not necessarily always perfectly matching with flower language, of course this is all just my own opinion! Tw for religious topics with some flower meanings.
⚠️Zack⚠️
Cardinal Flowers! Majority of the time they’re bright red, easily recognizable wildflower for its flowers that aren’t perfectly perked up like how flowers are typically imagined to be. I’ve seen it before in wet areas like streams near bogs, so it isn’t hindered by “dirty” environments. This flower is also extremely toxic to humans and pets, deadly just like Zack! Just not in a slasher killer fashion. While this next idea might be a stretch, these flowers supposedly will bring love to the lives of elderly women (by touching the root, not gifting), and Zack just so happens to bring light into a certain elderly man’s life before his untimely death.
Ironically, these flowers have been associated with the red robes of cardinals in the Catholic Church, even though Zack could care less about God and religion.
👓Danny👓
Crabapple Blossoms, specifically Sargent Tina Crabapple with red buds that bloom into white, pure flowers, only to change to bright red, shiny crabapples. Crabapples are actually fairly related to Rose, which can be tied to how Cathy and Danny had a history far before Gray’s experiment, according to the prequel manga series. These gradually whitening flowers caught my eye immediately from the fact that despite the abundance of red buds, not a single white flower was red. Morbidly enough, the red to white transition reminds me of both Danny’s plethora of injuries during the course of the story staining his coat, and also the fact he stopped the bleeding due to his medical knowledge.
Crabapples are toxic to animals due to a compound within the seeds that can transition into cyanide, while in most cases this cyanide doesn’t pose a real threat to humans but can be harmful in large amounts, mirroring how Danny may not always be a lethal threat with his eye stealing, but is capable of plenty of harm.
Ironically and sadly, crabapple blossoms are associated with fertility, marriage, love, and joy, things that Danny was doomed to never have over the course of the main story as an antagonist.
🪦Eddie🪦
Tulips, with its wide variety of colors including orange, along with flower meanings that all relate back to deep and understanding love, something that Eddie offers (though this is partially due to his yearning to “own” something and give a proper death to things he believes he should own.) In areas where I’ve seen tulips, butterflies and other insects definitely crawl about, reminding me even more of Eddie’s death and the butterflies present in the anime. Orange tulips in particular convey understanding and appreciation between two people (usually in a relationship,) which further relates to Eddie’s views on Rachel and his family.
Tulips are, surprisingly, toxic, and in most cases of poisoning, the bulb was confused for edible onions. It may be a stretch to say that this deception matches Eddie’s childish personality (though understandably because he is a literal child) and his ability to kill.
🧨Cathy🧨
Roses, specifically bred ones as opposed to wild or cute Chinese roses. Roses have always been a symbol of wealth, power, passion, and slight danger, and we already know how Cathy circulates through money faster than blood in the circulatory system. I can confirm from falling into rose bushes multiple times that they do indeed hurt, only reminding me further of Cathy and how she craves to judge and punish sinners in the most painful way possible. Roses are not toxic and depend on their thorns for protection, paralleling how Cathy doesn’t directly kill or punish sinners and uses expensive technology to do so.
For those who have read the manga, yes Cathy reminds me of specifically red and white roses, which signify unity (which I associate between Cathy and Lucy, even with Cathy still wearing a ring as if to show that sense of unity is still strong. Even if it was slightly one sided…)
📖Gray 📖
Hyacinths, but particularly from the fact that Hyacinths are strong and sweet smelling (like a certain sweet smelling gas Gray uses.) When I came across a group of Hyacinths, the smell is what hit me first before I even saw them. They come in a variety of colors (white, pink, etc) but also notably purple. While purple Hyacinths are typically associated with sorrow and desire for forgiveness, they can also let a mourner know you’re thinking of them after a death in the family. This can’t be linked to Gray in any significant way, but it is still worthy to note.
No, I did not even think about the whole Hyacinthus myth of Apollo being gay, but if you told me that Reverend Gray was immortal like how Hyacinthus was immortalized, I would 100% believe you. /hj Hyacinths are also toxic to ingest and skin irritants due to oxalic acid.
🕊️Rachel🕊️
Lilies of the Valley, for a variety of reasons. White, small, delicate, and with a mixed history of both youthful and pure things (when in loving arrangements) but also sadness and pain (in funeral arrangements.) This flower also has supernatural associations, such as the belief that these flowers can communicate with an outside world. Despite being treasured by some cultures, they’re actually seen as a nuisance where I live, which could be tied to Rachel’s sense of being unworthy and hated by God. These flowers also are associated with tears, such as the Virgin Mary’s tears when Jesus was crucified, and the tears of Eve when she was expelled from the Garden of Eden, which once again ties into Rachel’s feelings toward God rejecting her. These dainty flowers are also toxic, which is more than fitting for Rachel’s deadly history.
Of course these flowers are what I associate with the AoD cast from my personal experience with the plants, not what plants best fit them. If you have a different opinion, that’s great and feel free to comment it!

#OnThisDay in 1968: Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed while standing on a balcony at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.
The night prior, Rev. Dr. King delivered his “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech in support of the sanitation workers on strike at Mason Temple in Memphis. During his final speech, he said, “I’ve seen the promised land. I may not get there with you — but I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land.”
On this somber anniversary, we hold deep gratitude for Rev. Dr. King's lifelong work to create a more free and equal country for us all.

"In their account of the history of the British Evangelical Alliance, David Hillborn and Ian Randall insist that a desire for Evangelical unity was the primary motivation behind the creation of the organization, citing Essays on Christian Union (1845), among other texts, in support of their claim. However, while the outward expression of a desire for Evangelical unity in the cause of the Gospel permeates this collection of essays, lending credence to the claim of a positive rationale behind the creation of the Alliance, other, more negative, factors are also present, particularly concern about the rise of Roman Catholicism.
The struggle between the Tractarians and Evangelicals during and after the 1830s for control of the Church of England and the Maynooth controversy of 1844, in which the British government gave additional money to a Catholic seminary in Ireland, encouraged anti-Catholic prejudice. Many of the contributions to Essays on Christian Union suggest that anti-Catholicism was more important to the emergence of the Alliance than Randall and Hillborn are willing to admit. Like the identity of any other group, Evangelical identity was construed partly in terms of what they were not, and opposition to Catholicism was integral to their growing self-consciousness. In response to the perceived threat of Catholicism, a threat that one of the contributors to Essays on Christian Union, Ralph Wardlaw, equates with the antichrist, another contributor, Reverend J.A. James, urged:
《Our appeal, therefore, is made to all Evangelical Protestants --Is it not time to unite? Does not your situation require it? Strike hands, then, in a covenant of love and friendship, and form a holy league, aggressive and defensive, against a system which is aiming to destroy you utterly, that it may be left at liberty to pursue its unobstructed course through the world, the consummation of which would be reached in overthrowing Evangelical religion, and planting everywhere a baleful superstition in its place.》"
