The Reva/Vader parallels are killing me
Two people are walking out of the Tatooine desert, approaching the Lars' homestead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anakin has chosen revenge over mercy. He has murdered all the relatives of those responsable for his mother's death, including the children. However, despite having failed his family, both the Jedi and his mother, he doubles down on his actions "They were animals so I slaughtered them like animals.", and takes his first step towards the Darkness.
Reva has chosen mercy over revenge. She's been desperately chasing the son of her family's murderer for a long time in order to hurt him, to make him suffer, yet when she stands in front of Luke, she can only see a defenseless child, like she once was. She sobs, feeling like she has failed, and yet she has given her family peace, honored them. She has followed the Order's teachings, she has remembered lessons long forgotten, and Reva takes the first step on the path to return to the Light.
Reva, once again, proves that, no matter how much one has fallen, no matter what you've done, no matter what you've been through, you can make the right choice. It's never too late, no one's ever really gone.

"No. You've chosen not to."

"And Jusik still felt guilty for the unkind thoughts that never left him: that the Jedi Order had sowed what it had reaped, that it's acceptance of a slave army had set up it's own punishment. The Force had balanced the books."
501st Republic Commando
That’s right people be so-called most moral character is perfectly fine with Jedi suffering and genocide because they “deserve it.” What the ever loving crap. Jusik you’re lucky that I am not in the narrative because I would be smacking you with something very heavy yelling at you that no one deserves a genocide. Also, I would love to see him say this aloud or think this near a telepath like Obi-Wan Kenobi and watch him go very red and nearly lose his crap and beat the living daylights out of him. Or heck Cal or Rex or Ahsoka or Caleb. Because I can assure you, Rex would pretty much beat him to a pulp with no regrets. Caleb would smack the crap out of him and Cal? Oh boy, the other two would be very hard-pressed to keep that kid off of him. Oh, what about Reva? Holy cow if she heard him thinking that or talking that oh boy, would there be a major beat down and I would be on the sidelines cheering for that girl. I mean, basically his understatement of the year “unkind thoughts“ basically say that a bunch of people who were gang pressed into fighting a war that they themselves weren’t sure in accepting an army that a rogue Jedi commissioned and was financed by a Sith Lord thought is basically saying that everyone including the healers, the farmers, the artist, pilots and anyone who happen to have the Jedi title, including children and babies deserved to be slaughtered. I’m sorry that’s not a “unkind thought.“ That’s disgusting thought that needs to fill you with disgust not make you vaguely feel guilty. Guilty as she writes comes off as “my bad I did something really bad.” Thoughts like that should fill you with the disgust and revulsion. You should be guilt ridden and disgusted with yourself. And that kind of guilt and disgust should spur you into action so that way people are saved. Do you know what he does? Nothing then, on top of that in the behind-the-scenes interview according to the author, he wipes a woman’s mind that “magically“ erases her trauma and then beds her.
Edit: I would like to iterate that even if he feels “guilty” he’s still perfectly fine with people who are all for exterminating the Jedi. That’s like hanging out with a bunch of fascists and doing absolutely nothing to the people that they’re persecuting. Did he save his master? Yes but he did nothing to protect him from the other guy who is perfectly fine with the genocide so physically, he saved him, but emotionally he didn’t give a hoot so again it’s hard to feel sympathetic to the so-called “moral guy” if the only feels guilty and does absolutely nothing to help out and still has those thoughts in the first place. Again, this kid supposedly was a part of the order so he should know better but nope he still having that thought and is still OK with hanging out with people who have no problems selling them out to the empire. Those thoughts you shouldn’t feel “guilty” about. You should feel complete and utter disgusted with them and be doing something to help out the people. But then again, what do I expect about the same person who said that she cheered when order 66 happened?

That's why I love Reva so much. She's suffered so much, lost so much, and yet she still chooses good in the end.
She won't kill a youngling, she won't be the same monster Anakin/Vader was, because that's a line she chooses not to cross.
God I love this woman so much.
I’m still not over how well Reva Sevander fits into the storyline of not just Star Wars but specifically Anakin Skywalker’s story, that she’s not just a Jedi youngling that he brutally killed her family, but that the whole point of her character was that she was on the same trajectory as he was. “You have become the very thing you have sworn to destroy,” Obi-Wan says to Anakin in Revenge of the Sith. “Have I become him?” Reva sobs to Obi-Wan in Obi-Wan Kenobi. She swore to destroy him and very nearly became the thing she herself swore to destroy.  She rationalizes it, she says she wants “Justice.” when she goes after Luke Skywalker, a youngling like herself with a family willing to die to protect this child, just as the Jedi Knights died protecting their younglings, their family.  Just as Anakin rationalized what he was doing, that he was doing this for Padme because he couldn’t live without her, this was the only way he could become strong enough to save her. Both are just excuses for their own pain and suffering and their desire for what they want, not what the people they love want.  Both come from places of understandable and deeply empathizable pain, they’re both characters that my heart aches for. But Reva stops herself, she chooses mercy at the last moment.  She honors her family, they are at peace because she chose to spare the youngling. Anakin does not stop himself, he chooses to slaughter the children every step of the way.  He loses his family, Padme and Obi-Wan and Ahsoka, all of them, because he refuses to stop, to embrace mercy, even here in this show, he murders a child yet again. Reva’s story isn’t just filler for this show, she is central to the themes of Anakin’s journey, she is a reflection of what he could choose at any point, while also being a voice given to one of the Jedi younglings that he struck down.  She is absolutely VITAL to show that Anakin Skywalker chose this and continues to choose it every day.

Plausibility of Different Toxic Workplace Yuri in the Inquisitorius: a Very Serious Report
there are seven known female members of the Inquisitorius across star wars canon, not counting the unnamed inquisitor mentioned in Ghosts of Dathomir, and the unidentified inquisitors of unknown gender mentioned in Savage Spirits and Crimson Climb. they are summed up in a previous post, and include:
the Second Sister (Trilla Suduri)
the Third Sister (Reva Sevander)
the Fourth Sister (Lyn Rakish)
the Seventh Sister
the Ninth Sister (Masana Tide)
the Thirteenth Sister (Iskat Akaris)
and Barriss Offee, for a limited time frame.
that gives us 21 potential pairings. i have examined them all based on their time in the organization, the likelihood of having met before joining, their appearances together and their personalities. let's take a look.
2 x 3
Tumblr media
Second and Third Sisters have a somewhat similar personality and role in their main media. they have never interacted to our knowledge. Trilla dies just five years into her tenure, while Reva joins at an unknown date after the organization's founding. she would be 17 at the time of Trilla's death, and may not have even been a member at that point. they may well have met before Order 66, as Trilla's master was a Seeker and they both worked with younglings (and were captured while trying to protect a group from clone troopers), but obviously no relationship happened there.
PROBABILITY: LOW for timeline reasons
TOXICITY: EXTREMELY HIGH. what if you were a teenager full of rage and i was reminded both of myself just a few years ago and of the children i failed to rescue every time i looked at you 😳
2 x 4
Tumblr media
Second and Fourth Sisters were concurrent members for around five years, and may have known each other or been peers before (i don't quite believe they were, as Lyn's dynamic with Barriss Offee seems to go against that). we have never seen them interact but there is no reason to believe they haven't, as they were present in the headquarters at the same time for at least a while; inquisitors are often sent on missions in pairs or teams, and there aren't that many of them.
PROBABILITY AND TOXICITY: MODERATE. Lyn was very much not over Barriss leaving her for basically the whole time these two knew each other. Trilla the inquisitor is not one for socializing but who's to say she never needed to blow off some steam.
2 x 7
Tumblr media
Second and Seventh Sister were both inquisitors for the first five years of the organization's existence, and both were likely broken by torture. we've seen them together once, standing around in disinterest while their colleagues toast with shitty local alcohol, shortly before Trilla's death. they may well have met before becoming inquisitors but both are keen to forget their pasts.
Tumblr media
PROBABILITY AND TOXICITY: MODERATE. neither is particularly sociable, and Seventh especially is difficult to get along with. they have a lot in common but not the good parts, is what i'm saying.
2 x 9
Tumblr media
Second and Ninth Sister were concurrently members for five years, and were sent together on a mission to Bracca in Jedi: Fallen Order. while they get separated (forever) seeing it through, it isn't the only time we've seen them cooperating. they were both broken by torture and have quite a bit in common, though they picked different coping strategies. they almost certainly didn't know each other before Order 66 (Cere, Trilla's master, didn't know Masana).
Tumblr media
PROBABILITY: MODERATE to HIGH. by which i mean that we've seen them comfortably work together in canon, which automatically puts them to the top of amicable inquisitor relationships. Trilla is very closed off, but Masana might have more success getting her to open up than most.
TOXICITY: MODERATE. neither is dealing with their extreme trauma in a particularly healthy way so putting them together is. hmmm.
2 x 13
Tumblr media
we know Trilla and Iskat have interacted at Inquisitorius HQ, and they die in quick succession five years after joining. we have Iskat's POV attesting they hadn't met before Order 66, and that she was never in anything resembling a relationship. new recruit Iskat is desperate for friends but is put off by Trilla's hostility during training, and gets a boyfriend relatively soon after, whom she keeps until they die.
PROBABILITY: LOW. Iskat is not successful trying to get close to Trilla in canon and gets a long-term inquisitor boyfriend instead.
TOXICITY: HIGH. Iskat was famously a voluntary recruit, while Trilla had to be dragged in kicking and screaming, broken by torture and betrayal. she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with Iskat, or anyone for that matter. timeline-wise any relationship Iskat could have with her would involve a lot of jealousy and borderline cheating on Tualon.
2 x Barriss
Tumblr media
Barriss spends a short time with the Inquisitorius, seemingly in a different facility entirely from their HQ. it is possible Trilla is currently there getting tortured but that isn't exactly conductive to a relationship. Barriss doesn't appear to meet any inquisitors apart from those shown in Tales of the Empire (the Grand Inquisitor, Lyn, guy killed later by Ahsoka, other guy killed later by Ahsoka) before deserting. they might have met back as Jedi but nothing suggests that.
PROBABILITY AND TOXICITY: LOW. there is no real space for them to interact in canon.
3 x 4
Tumblr media
we don't know how much Third and Fourth Sister's time with the Inquisitorius overlaps, but we have seen them working together. Reva has a lot of friction with Fifth Brother and the Grand Inquisitor in those scenes, but is chill with Fourth Sister. it has been almost ten years since Barriss left by that point, shortly before Reva leaves, and a couple years before Lyn follows them both.
Tumblr media
PROBABILITY: MODERATE. Reva is extremely focused on her mission but then again, there is downtime during transportation and such. Lyn is there, much more approachable than others present, and pining for Barris.
TOXICITY: MODERATE to HIGH. Reva goes from the lowest-status coworker to Lyn's boss to presumed dead traitor over a couple days, which is also the only period we can be sure they spent together.
3 x 7
Tumblr media
we have no idea whether these two ever interacted. they don't have that much in common compared to some other pairings but i don't see anything making it impossible for them to hatefuck at some point 🤷‍♀️
PROBABILITY AND TOXICITY: MODERATE.
3 x 9
Tumblr media
we don't know when Reva joined up exactly, but they both left the Inquisitorius around the same time (well, Reva left. Masana got decapitated). their missions had some small overlap so it isn't out of the question that they would have cooperated off-screen. i think Reva would have reminded Masana of Trilla, who she used to work with quite well. they both have complex relationships to Darth Vader (Reva wants to murder him to death for killing her family, while Masana was mutilated by him several times over and copes via humor).
PROBABILITY: MODERATE. you can't tell me Masana wouldn't be up for it, while Reva seems much more likely to fool around with someone who also lost so much to Vader.
TOXICITY: MODERATE because inquisitor Reva absolutely cannot have a healthy relationship but also there isn't much about Masana making it worse.
3 x 13
Tumblr media
similar to Trilla, it's doubtful Reva ever set foot in the Inquisitorius before Iskat's death. if she did, she would have been 17 at most when Iskat dies, and Iskat would have spent the entire time having her evil romance with Tualon. Iskat also joined the organization willingly and always felt Order 66 was completely justified, so i can't imagine Reva would be chill with her.
PROBABILITY: LOW for both timeline and general compatibility reasons.
TOXICITY: EXTREMELY HIGH. Iskat juggling her possessive broken jedi boyfriend who halfheartedly tried to kill her and this teen who very much wants to end her life. someone would die and it wouldn't take long.
3 x Barriss
one of only two pairings on the list i'm practically completely positive couldn't have met while inquisitors. they both deserted though, so maybe they'll meet up eventually...?
4 x 7
Tumblr media
they served the Inquisitorius concurrently for around 16 years but we never saw them interacting, or heard of them working together. they don't have much in common personality-wise, other than being capable and dedicated enough to keep their jobs (and lives) that long in this rather intense work environment. however, while Seventh is quick to piss off her colleagues, Lyn is generally level-headed and willing to work with others. maybe opposites attract?
PROBABILITY: MODERATE. their other coworkers drop like flies and their dating pool is pretty limited otherwise due to their careers. also they're both green-yellow?
TOXICITY: MODERATE. you can't have a non-toxic relationship involving Seventh tbh
4 x 9
Tumblr media
ten years working together. we haven't seen any notable interactions between them but i don't see why they couldn't have become work buddies at some point, since they're the more pleasant to work with inquisitors around. similar to Reva and Masana, their missions around 10 years post-Order 66 overlap a bit, so they might have cooperated.
PROBABILITY: MODERATE. neither of them is seething with hatred 24/7 or completely isolating themselves, and their other colleagues keep leaving or dying. what's a girl to do but fuck that huge alien gal?
TOXICITY: LOW. i don't really see why they couldn't have a fling. being colleagues is like the most questionable thing they have going on.
4 x 13
Tumblr media
Iskat tried to become friends with Lyn, got brushed off, and soon afterwards got reunited with Tualon, who became her hobby until they died 5 years later. they decidedly didn't know each other back before Order 66. i suppose they have a bit in common in being willing recruits, and that Lyn might become more receptive to Iskat wanting companionship once she gets over Barriss (or the wound becomes less fresh, i guess).
PROBABILITY: LOW. they missed their shot.
TOXICITY: MODERATE because of Tualon's existence, Lyn pining over Barriss, plus their first impressions not being great.
4 x Barriss
Tumblr media
they knew each other before Order 66, and Barriss spent most of her inquisitor time under Lyn's wing in some way. Lyn clearly feels strongly about Barriss leaving her, for quite some time. there isn't much space for yuri shenanigans before Barriss leaves but plenty after their reunion.
Tumblr media
PROBABILITY: PRETTY LOW if we're concerned only with true workplace yuri, since Barriss was still very much getting her bearings and then left right away. you can't prove it didn't happen though.
Tumblr media
TOXICITY: HIGH. your heartbroken almost-ex gets you out of jail after a government coup, recruits you into a weird culty organization, becomes your boss, tries to get you to kill civilians, you throw her of a cliff. regardless where we imagine the kissing happened it's pretty weird.
7 x 9
Tumblr media
they have 10 years of working for the Inquisitorius, and have been on missions together before. also one of those missions involved going undercover at a casino and gambling on company time. Seventh wore a dress. that's practically a date innit
Tumblr media
PROBABILITY: HIGH. both are snarky gals coping with their extreme trauma through having irreverent fun on the job. what's more fun than putting your mouthy coworker in her place?
TOXICITY: MODERATE mostly because Seventh is involved.
7 x 13
Tumblr media
they've been thoroughly introduced to each other shortly after Iskat's recruitment and it didn't go well for either one. Iskat keeps well clear of Seventh afterwards for both life preservation purposes and general ease of life. she also has a thrilling pseudo-romance with her somewhat murdery boyfriend Tualon, so i don't imagine she's likely to seek out Seventh for thrills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
PROBABILITY: LOW. they hate each other but not in a sexy way, and both have better outlets.
TOXICITY: EXTREMELY HIGH. murder murder murder.
7 x Barriss
Tumblr media
even at her most morally questionable i don't think Barriss would ever be drawn to Seventh Sister. they well may have met as Jedi, since it is suggested Mirialans stick together at least somewhat during the prequel era. it is very doubtful they met while Barriss was with the Inquisitorius, however.
PROBABILITY: LOW for timeline and compatibility reasons.
TOXICITY: HIGH. what if you found the timid healer-turned-terrorst girl in a hallway, all alone and wide-eyed in her new evil uniform, and decided to show her the wonders of the dark side...
9 x 13
Tumblr media
they know each other for five years, and Masana essentially becomes Iskat's closest companion showing her the ropes in the Inquisitorius, until she reunites with Tualon. they talk pretty freely and Iskat considers Masana a "lively sparring partner". they didn't know each other before being recruited. Iskat had done so voluntarily, Masana not so much but has accepted her role by the time they meet.
PROBABILITY AND TOXICITY: MODERATE. i'd envision it as part of Iskat's self-realization arc. there is a parallel between Masana and Tualon's recruitment, and maybe Masana could do as him and make the most of it. that doesn't mean she'd forget, thoug.
9 x Barriss
Tumblr media
there is very little probability they ever met, as inquisitors or otherwise. i think Barriss would find Masana intimidating at best, and Masana "it would be fun to bring you in, watch you crack like the rest of us" Tide would probably have thoughts about Barriss' recruitment.
PROBABILITY: LOW for timeline and compatibility reasons.
TOXICITY: HIGH. let Masana show this pipsqueak just what she signed up for.
13 x Barriss
Barriss is long gone by the time Iskat properly joins the Inquisitorius, and Iskat's story rules out them having a fling either as jedi or afterwards.

Here! I'll help! Let's make a list!
1. Maul kills Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan's master whom he loves and cares for, and yet Obi-Wan doesn't rush to Dathomir and kill all of Maul's people! Hell, he even works with the nightsisters and Mother Talzin to get information.
2. Maul and Savage kill countless innocents, and then capture Obi-Wan with the intent of torturing him to death. Does he go to Dathomir to kill everyone? Still no!
3. Maul kills a Jedi that Obi-Wan seemed to be friends with, and then tries to kill Obi-Wan. Again. Obi-Wan still doesn't go to Dathomir to kill everyone.
4. As you said, Maul attacked the home-planet of someone Obi-Wan loved and killed them--all right in front of him! He still doesn't go to Dathomir to wipe everyone out!
5. The Geonosians capture Obi-Wan and try to kill him, and then when the other Jedi arrive the Geonosians are complicit in the murder of 180 of the 212 Jedi that are there. Do the Jedi try to wipe them out? Does Obi-Wan? No! They only fight the Geonosians because they're apart of the CIS and are literally making the droids that the Republic is fighting!
6. Jango Fett tries to kill Obi-Wan multiple times and then is complicit in the deaths of those Jedi on Geonosis. Does Obi-Wan treat the clones badly or try to get them killed? Do the other Jedi? Nope! In fact, we see the exact opposite, with Jedi literally risking their lives to save them!
7. Speaking of which, Boba Fett tries to kill Mace Windu multiple times and is complicit--if not partially responsible for--the deaths of many of Windu's men, including Commander Ponds. Does this ever effect Mace's treatment of his men? Hell, does Mace even treat Boba with anything less than calm compassion and empathy? NO!
8. In the first chronological episode of Clone Wars, Slick betrays the Republic and pretty much spits in the face of the Jedi--his anger is justifiable, but it's at the wrong people. Do the Jedi treat the clones any differently because of this? Still nope!
9. Tup literally shoots and kills a Jedi, albeit under control of the chip. The Jedi find out that there's some plot with the clones that the Sith are stirring up. Guess what? Even knowing that there's a bigger plot going on, the Jedi still treat the clones fairly and do everything they can to protect them!
10. Hondo and his group of pirates capture and torture Obi-Wan and Anakin--Anakin seems all for killing Hondo or, at least, harming him in some way. What does Obi-Wan do? Tell him to let Hondo go, and nothing ever happens to Hondo or his pirates.
11. Hondo and his group literally abduct a whole ass class of Jedi padawans. The Jedi still don't fucking kill them all.
12. The Hutts consistently work with the Separatists and have at least tried to have Jedi killed twice. The Hutts are still definitely around by the OT and don't really face any consequences for this besides jail time for Ziro--let alone revenge.
13. The Zygerrians literally host a slave empire, specifically capture and torture Jedi because they have a grudge, join the Separatists, and literally keep Jedi slaves as trophies. All the Jedi try to do is take down their slave empire--no genocide or mass murder involved.
In fact, Obi-Wan doesn't even kill the slaver responsible for his own suffering because it's go against the Jedi Code--Rex takes care of that.
14. Even after most of the Jedi are wiped out by the clones and only a couple of survivors even know about the chips, do the surviving Jedi treat the clones horribly? Nope!
In the Kenobi show, Obi-Wan doesn't know anything about the chips and still gives some of his few measly credits to that clone veteran. In some of the comics involving Obi-Wan, it even shows that he still thinks of the 212th and Cody fondly--even after they tried to kill him!
In Rebels, Kanan knows about the chips but obviously thinks that they were a made-up excuse, and he definitely doesn't trust Wolffe, Rex, or Gregor. But does he try to kill or hurt them? No! Even when he sees them and is reacting in a panic, he goes on the defensive and moves in front of Ezra to protect him--he doesn't even make a move towards them. Rebels even shows Kanan and Rex growing to become friends and all of them helping out with the rebellion.
15. Again, in Rebels, Maul tries to kill Obi-Wan for like the millionth time--and Obi-Wan still treats him with compassion as he dies, even after all that he's done.
16. In Rebels, the Geonosians are already practically extinct thanks to the Empire and Kanan would definitely know and have experienced all the horrible things the Geonosians were responsible for/complicit in. And yet he still argues with Saw and refuses to condemn the Geonosians to extinction and expresses hope that they can rebuild their species.
17. Leia's entire planet, including her parents (because Breha and Bail raised her, they're her parents, idgaf about her bloodline) and probably all her friends and people she cares for as well. She still doesn't go on a fucking murder spree in the ship, her primary focus is on escape.
18. Luke's Aunt and Uncle, arguably his parents but he only ever refers to them as Aunt/Uncle so that's what I'm using, get murdered by the Empire, Luke's friends get consistently attacked by Vader/under Vader's orders, etc. and Luke still chooses mercy and doesn't kill Vader.
19. Like you also said, Reva! She's completely set up to kill Luke in every way and has no one there to help guide her to the Light, and yet she chooses not to kill Luke. She won't cross that line, even in anger.
20. Mandalorians and Jedi just, in general, haven't gotten along for most of galactic history (idgaf what miss Death Watch says, Jedi and Mandos "getting along" was a recent development)--and yet the Jedi never really tried killing them all off...they're still alive and kicking by the Imperial Era...it's the Empire that tries to wipe them out.
-----
I'm almost certain I've missed a lot of examples, and I definitely excluded all the Non-Jedi/Force-Sensitive examples (so feel free to add them), but if you need more than 20 examples to prove that Anakin definitely did not have to Do That in response to his mother's death then...I don't know what to tell you.
It's probably been around a while and I just haven't encountered it before now, but the "yes everyone would have murdered a village down to the last child in that situation" take is a new one for me! Like would I have been justifiably upset in that situation? Yes. But what would I have done in that moment myself? Probably run. Granted I am not a person with a ton of unfathomable powers and a weapon I have spent a decade training to use that can cut through literally everything, but still. The argument that "well yeah EVERYONE would've done exactly what Anakin did" kinda falls apart when you think about it for two seconds because wow is that not what I would do when faced with being alone in the middle of an entire community of people who just captured and tortured my innocent mother for several weeks.
But it's also VERY hard to argue that this is even how everyone would react to this situation in Star Wars.
They literally have an entire arc where they explicitly have Obi-Wan's old nemesis who killed Obi-Wan's Master come to attack the home planet of someone he loves, captures her, and then murders her right in front of Obi-Wan with Obi-Wan helpless to save her. He then goads Obi-Wan into reacting in anger and Obi-Wan's reaction is to refuse to engage. He very explicitly refuses to even attack Maul because he knows he'd be reacting in anger and he's literally seen exactly where that leads before and overcome it. So when Obi-Wan IS put in an extremely similar situation, he chooses not to just go out and attack everybody as a result. He doesn't give in to his anger and fly to Dathomir to go kill every single Nightbrother on the planet as a form of justice for Satine, which is what this person is arguing is how literally anybody would react when placed in that situation.
Reva Sevander has every reason to despise Anakin, more reason than Anakin had to despise the Tuskens. And yet when she goes after Luke to try to kill him after she fails to kill Anakin, that becomes a line she can't cross. More accurately, it's a line Reva CHOOSES not to cross. So when put in that situation with all the same anger and grief as Anakin had with the opportunity to get her vengeance by killing an innocent child, Reva makes the active choice not to do what Anakin did. So while the impulse obviously was still there with Reva, she was fully capable of choosing not to go through with it. And Reva's been soaking in Darkness since she was about 8-10 years old, getting tortured and broken as an Inquisitor, surrounded by the corpses of her people, with zero support of any kind that she can turn to for comfort or guidance. Anakin had spent the last 10 years in a warm loving environment with people who cared for him and still had most of those people available to him to support him in this time of grief. And yet when faced with the same choice, Reva chose to pull back and let Luke live, but Anakin just kept going and massacred an entire village. It's a CHOICE, not an uncontrollable urge.
You know the only other person I can think up off the top of my head who DOES canonically have a similar reaction to Anakin's?
Aleksander Kallus.
Kallus explicitly states that he leads a genocide against the Lasat as vengeance for ONE Lasat killing a unit of Imperial soldiers in self defense. An entire species is nearly wiped out of existence because Kallus decided to let his anger control him.
But there are NUMEROUS other characters in Star Wars who we see lose people they love and proceed to not go on a murder spree against innocent people and children as a result. And the ones that do are pretty explicitly villains whose actions when in those situations are used to showcase just how villainous they are. Which indicates that it's NOT a normal reaction because otherwise it wouldn't really mean anything as a villain identifier. If it's something just about anyone would've done, it's probably not that villainous. The point of it NEEDS to be that most people WOULDN'T do that, even in justified anger.

Kote-Ah Kenobi is the son of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Clone Commander Cody.
This is from my Alternate Universe called the ‘Kenobi Family AU’, which I’ll explain now (warning: plot dump):
During the Clone Wars Cody and Obi-Wan start to get close
First it starts as them starting to admire and trust each other in battle and appreciate the other’s leadership skills, etc.
Then it turns into a good friendship and camaraderie, they talk openly with each other on and off the battle field. They feel comfortable enough to snark and joke with eachother
They more and more seek comfort in each other outside of work and battle
Soon their friendship turns into more, emotionally
This leads to both of them hiding complicated romantic feeling for each other
Obi-Wan has strick moral codes with being a Jedi and having no deep attachments, he desperately wants to be a good Jedi and leader. But he can’t help but love Cody
Cody deals with the social pressures of being a clone. Clones aren’t supposed to have deep emotions, to want things, to have personalities. He’s not aloud to feel anyway for anyone, let alone his General. He’s not considered a person to many, just a tool
(Skipping over much time and details) Eventually they confess to each other
They come to a sort of agreement, they care too much about each other to not be together, but they both have duties to others and agree to always put their jobs first
So they are in a secret relationship with the war as priority
But they both discuss getting ‘fully’ together after the war
Cody talks about fighting for freedom for the clones and getting to choose what they want (he wouldn’t have thought of this before getting with Obi-Wan, he didn’t even consider it a possibility for him or his brothers. But getting the chance to CHOOSE to be with Obi-Wan despite what the war demands gives Cody determination to give all clones a chance to choose what they want)
Obi-Wan wants to be with Cody, he says he’ll help Cody and his brothers in any way to get freedom. He starts to think how maybe Anakin is right about the Jedi rule against attachment being wrong (this may be a lil’ OCC for Obi-Wan but I like to think him loving Cody would make him reevaluate his morals and the Jedi rules)
(Obi-Wan even considers maybe leaving the order after the war to be with Cody, it isn’t the first time he thought about it or even actually left the order after all)
But alas, none of it is to be. Order 66 still happens
It plays out just like canon, and the clone chips are activated and Cody shoots Obi-Wan off the cliff and Obi-Wan flees
(This is where the BIG changes happen)
When Obi-Wan goes with Yoda to the Jedi Temple and sees the dead Younglings, they find Reva Sevander alive and rescue her
Yoda watches her while Obi-Wan confronts and fights Anakin
Afterwards Padmé still dies giving birth
This time though, Obi-Wan looks at Luke, Leia and Reva and just thinks ‘yeahs I’m taking all these kids’
He pretty much decides that since all three of these kids are force sensitive that they’ll need protection and training, he can hide them
Plus his time with Cody taught him the importance of bonds. he regrets telling Anakin to not have attachments and making him feel like he had to hide his and Padmé’s relationship. Maybe if Obi-Wan had been better about talking to Anakin, Anakin wouldn’t have been so afraid to lose Padmé and therefore turn Dark
So Obi-Wan ignores Yoda’s demands to spilt all the children up and just takes them all to a remote planet to raise them
(Reva takes Obi-Wan’s last name since he needs to present her as his adopted child and he lets Luke and Leia have their father’s last name (Skywalker) as memory to the man Anakin used to be (he tells everyone that Leia and Luke are the children of his brother))
Only a little time after settling on their new home and trying to raise two infants and handle a traumatized force sensitive child, Obi-Wan finds out he’s going to have Cody and his child (unplanned)
(It’s up to you to decide how they have a child idk, force magic or weird alien biology who cares)
So 9 months later Obi-Wan now has ANOTHER child (Kote-Ah), this one from his lover who turned on him and who he doesn’t even know if he’s alive (I can’t decide if Obi-Wan DOESN’T know about the chips in the clones and thinks Cody legitimately betrayed him, or if he DOES know about the chips and is just wallowing in the knowledge that Cody and all the clones have had their agency taken away and will be forced to work for the Empire or be killed)
(Either way he can’t risk finding Cody, he has to protect his kids)
Thus Obi-Wan Kenobi ends up with four kids (all who are force sensitive) (in hiding where he’s a wanted man and force sensitive children are killed on sight) (and Kote-Ah looks exactly like a clone so people are quite suspicious when they see him, and even more so when they notice how young he is and how his eyes aren’t amber/brown like all clones)
The AU from here is just Obi-Wan raising Reva, Luke, Leia, and Kote-Ah in secret
Obi-Wan continues Reva’s training and takes her as his Padawan when she’s of age, though it’s not a ‘formal padawan and master’ training because at that point Reva considers Obi-Wan her guardian/parental figure (not quite a father (Kote-Ah, Luke, and Leia call Obi-Wan ‘Dad’), but she does loves and treat him in a similar way to a child and parent)
When Leia, Luke, and Kote-Ah all get old enough he starts to train them, they need to be prepared for if (when) the Empire finds them
That’s the AU for now, there’s more from here but I already wrote a lot! I’ll probably do some more drawing one day and get into Kote-Ah’s personality and the family relationship of the ‘Kenobi Family’ and the plot from here on out.
Extras:
Reva helped a lot with raising the three younger kids
Having them around helped with her anger and trauma of seeing her crechemates killed (she holds no resentment towards Luke and Leia for being the children of the man who killed her crechemates)
Though this makes her very overprotective of Leia, Luke, and Kote-Ah
She’s desperate not to lose her new family
She’s always very mature for her age
All the siblings are very close, but Luke and Leia get along the best and Reva and Kote-Ah are also really close
They all are very close to Obi-Wan, who is very open and affectionate with them due to his regrets of not being as open and loving with Anakin (and his regrets that he never got to have an open and ‘true’ relationship with Cody before everything ended)
Obi-Wan tells many stories of Cody and the clones to Kote-Ah. Obi-Wan wants Kote-Ah to know about his other father and his family. Wants Kote-Ah to feel pride from his ‘heritage’ and not feel ashamed for looking like a clone
In this AU all four of the kids are trained in the Jedi ways and to fight, though way into the future only Reva and Luke take on the formal title of Jedi, Leia and Kote-Ah do not.

What was I doing all November? Not Nano. Writing. Writing a up a storm. I was part of this years Star Wars Rare Pair Exchange and the reveals of who wrote what are up, so no I can link all the ones I wrote! (Four!!! this year). This year I also BROKE two ship tags on AO3 (Cal/Reva and Boba/Luke/Fennec) and was able to get not only my main gift out (to Blaze) but also two whole treats (han and senket) and one whole pinch hit (ansclove)! So this was a lot of writing for me beyond the normal scope of things. Enjoy <3 (and hopefully those who received something from me enjoy them) Entry Log for @blazesurrender - Rated T | Cal Kestis/Rayvis the Gen'Dai | AU - Delayed Order 66 | 12.8K
Summary: “Entry Log One. This is Commander Cal Kestis of the 13th Battalion on the Albedo Brave led by Jedi General Jaro Tapal.”
There's something to be said about learning someone's life by a holovid journal they leave behind.
The button is pressed again.
Empty Husks and Hungry Halls for @nightingalesighs - Rated T | Cal Kestis/Reva Sevander (Third Sister) | AU Inquisitor Cal | 8.8K
Summary: When Third Sister returns from a three week long mission to find that someone new has shown up on Nur, she spends her precious free time to figure out who it is. Though the answer she gets is something far worse than she could have ever imagined.
Eternally Bound for @voidcat-senket - Rated T | Cal Kestis/Bode Akuna | AU Scrapper!Cal x ISB!Bode | 6.6K
Summary: Every day, Cal has to deal with the Empire, being stuck on Bracca, and more. And every night, Cal has to deal with the nightmares. Each one shares the same man within them. And finally, Cal sees the man from his nightmares face for the first time.
Sweet Gratitude for @ancslove (hopefully that tags you right!)- Rated E | Boba Fett/Luke Skywalker/Fennec Shand | Threesome | 2.3K
Summary: After Luke partially aids in helping two bounty hunters find their mark, he's taken aboard their ship and shown their appreciation.

I ranted on Discord, im about to rant on here.
I'm so over the theories of Shin Hati being a clone of some big, preexisting character, or being analogous to some preexisting character.
Sorry!!! I think they should just be this fucking random person! A "nobody". A rat ass orphan, from a crap ass backwater planet, plucked up by pure chance.
Because I want to know who Shin Hati is! I don't give a fuck who she's related to, I don't wanna hear some other big name from the star wars universe in relation to her. I've had Enough of the insular theories that put all this focus onto the Skywalkers, or fucking Palpatine clones, or or- Nahnahnah.
Enough of that. Give me more characters who are just. Put there, existing in this universe. More Reva Sevander's, more Trilla Suduri's, more Kyle Katarn's, more Cassian Andor's.
They exist and operate in this big galaxy that feels like it spirals outside of their control. I care about them. I appreciate them. I don't care, give me more of Them. I want to know who the ""nobodies"" are, and I want Their stories.

I have So. Many. Feelings about Reva's casting.
The fact that she is a black woman in the canonically white, male Empire is so important to me. Because the fact that the Empire is predominantly white, males is important to me when juxtaposed with the diverse, inclusive Rebellion.
And Reva is in the Empire, is, in fact, an important person in it. And I have all the feelings about it, because yes. She is a black woman in the white, male-dominated Empire.
But this is important because of all the 'Reva was a Jedi' things.
Yes, she doesn't fit in with the Empire, but that's because she shouldn't. She isn't supposed to.
She was meant to be part of the Jedi, who are canonically whoever the fuck they want to be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
She would have gotten on great as a Jedi, imo, and fitted in really well, because normal among the Jedi was just to be Force-sensitive and a generally good person (yes I ascribe to the Reva got tortured theory).
Because you know who canonically don't limit themselves to white males? Not the Sith. The canon Sith are white males (Palpatine, Dooku, Anakin, Kylo Ren), apart from Ventress, Maul, Savage and Feral (who only sort of count because Maul was definitely just a tool/placeholder and the other three were Dooku's pseudo-Padawans during his homesick periods so…)
The Jedi don't. The Jedi have, well, pretty much everyone. Kel Dors and Togruta and Twi'leks and Rodians and Wookies and…and…and….
Honestly, I don't know what I'm trying to say.
Something along the lines of, oh it's really important that Reva is, in fact, not a white male in the Empire, something something, her being unable to fit in with the Inquisitors vs the way the Jedi accept and cherish everyone is important because it shows just how the Empire has fucked the galaxy up and wow I have so many feelings about it.

Having her hair done this way was a great costume choice for inquisitor Reva.
It's sophisticated and grand yet practical.
Works well for a fighter, a commanding officer and for imperial social events - perfect for a character like Reva.
Well, and obviously it's stunning.

ON SITH TITLES
THERE ARE MANY A NAMING SYSTEM WHEN IT COMES TO SITH LORDS, I CANNOT SAY I CAN USE IT WITH SURE ACCURACY, BUT I WAS A SITH LORD FOR NEARLY TWO DECADES AND I HAVE AN IDEA ON HOW IT WOULD WORK.
AND FOR THOSE WHO SAY “LORD VADER, YOU CANNOT JUST TWIST THE SITH BELIEF TRADITION LIKE THAT AS IF IT WAS A PLAYTHING, IT IS DISRESPECTFUL”
I SAY ON TO YOU “... YOU RESPECT SITH? WHY?”
BETTER TO MAKE IT A GAME, I SAY. IT GIVES THOSE WORSHIPERS OF MURDER AND DOMINATION LESS POWER. IF ALL HAVE SITH TITLES, NO ONE DOES. IT IS VERY SIMPLE.
SHALL WE BEGIN.
FOR OBI-WAN KENOBI, I WOULD NAME HIM DARTH SAKEN, LORD OF DESPAIR. HIS NEW NAME DERIVES FROM THE WORD “FORSAKEN”, FOR IF KENOBI BRINGS HOPE, THEN HIS DARTH SIDE WOULD BING HOPELESSNESS, IT WOULD MAKE OF THEE FORSAKEN.
FOR AHSOKA TANO, I WOULD HAVE REVIVED AN OLD TITLE. DARTH TRAYA, LORD OF BETRAYAL. I AM CERTAIN THAT THE ORIGINAL DARTH LORD OF THAT TITLE WOULD FIND IT AMUSING, OR AT THE VERY LEAST, WOULD FIND IT MOVING ENOUGH TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.
FOR REVA SEVANDER, MAY YOU IN SOME TIMELINE SOMEWHERE SUCCEED IN YOUR EFFORTS BELOVED YOUNGLING, I WOULD HAVE NAMED YOU DARTH SEVERANCE, LORD OF REVENGEANCE. MAY THE FORCE BRING YOU PEACE... (AND MAY YOU APPRECIATE THE WORDPLAY).
YOUNG EZRA BRIDGER. WE HAVE HAD CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, HE, HIS MASTER AND HIS CREW WERE QUITE ANNOYING. I LOOK BACK ON IT WITH AMUSEMENT NOW. I WOULD HAVE NAMED YOU DARTH THROE, LORD OF THE TWISTING. YES, QUITE INSPIRED AFTER ADMIRAL THRAWN. SIMPLY BECAUSE WHILE I FIND THAT SPIRITED YOUTH AMUSING, I AM STILL SPITEFUL.
YOUNG CALEB DUME. YOU TAUGHT YOUR APPRENTICE WELL. DARTH REAVER, LORD OF THE SUFFERED MOURNING.
... DO I HAVE TO NAME THE TINY GREEN TROLL BABE? FINE.
DARTH CROAKER, LORD OF THE SCREAMS. MAY ALL THOSE FROGS FEEL DESPAIR AT YOUR WAKING, SMALL CHILD.
FOR... HM.
[ mecahnical deep breath ]
FOR LUKE SKYWALKER, MY SON, DARTH ECLYPSIS, LORD OF REVOLUTION, AND HERALD OF APOCALYPSE. FOR IF HE IS LOST, ALL WOULD BE LOST.
... APOLOGIZES, THIS IS... NOT A THOUGHT I CARE TO THINK OF FOR LONG. I SHALL.. RETURN TO THIS AT A LATER TIME.

Enjoy!
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
Reva watched with blurry vision as the farmer couple gently carried the little boy - Luke, they’d called him - back inside of their homestead. Her hands shook as she still felt the phantom pressure of her thumb on the ignition switch as she hovered her lightsaber over the boy’s inert body, bathing him in a blood-red glow.
Her gaze remained on the slowly reviving child as he was taken back into the safety of his home. She felt her arms shake as she remembered just how small he had been as she carried him back to his family - the family that had fought tooth and nail to keep him safe.
From her.
Kenobi was beside her, hand on her shoulder, and she could still feel the tears she had shed over the horrible action she had contemplated rolling down her cheeks.
She had almost murdered that little boy. To get back at his father - at a man he didn’t know even existed.
She was a horrible person.
She was no better than Vader.
Kenobi had offered her comfort, and she appreciated it, but it didn’t erase the fact that she had driven herself down the same merciless path Vader was on.
The only relief she had was that she, at least, had the heart to pull back from murdering innocent children.
“Ben,” the woman gently called. Reva recalled the moisture farmer Owen screaming her name, alerting his wife to Reva coming for her and their nephew. She flinched at the reminder and kept her eyes on the cool, desert sand, feeling her whole body shake as Beru approached.
“Beru,” Kenobi answered, voice sounding relieved. “How is he?”
“He’s waking up,” the woman answered, sounding just as relieved. “Got a concussion, but nothing he won’t recover from.”
Was it Reva’s imagination, or did Beru sound like she was trying to console Reva too?
Why were all these people so determined to forgive her? For trying to murder a youngling? She didn’t deserve their forgiveness, or comfort!
The shuffling of sands made Reva tense, her body giving a shudder as Beru knelt down beside her. What was this woman thinking, Reva was dangerous, she had tried to kill her nephew, she should be shunning her, not getting closer-!
Then Beru gently wrapped her arms around Reva and pulled her into a firm, welcoming hug.
Reva froze, for once her shaking body not moving a muscle as the farmer tucked her chin on Reva’s head. She let out a small, choking sob as Beru quietly hushed her.
“Why?” she heard herself ask, voice shaking. “Why a-are you-?”
“Doing this?” Beru finished. “Because I know a hurting soul when I see one.” she gently held Reva’s face in her hands, giving her a soft smile. “Out here, on Tatooine especially, you get pretty good at finding those who are hurting, who have no hope.” she leaned in closer, like she was sharing a secret. “We may standoff with offworlders, but many of us here care about each other - even about those we don’t know. It’s something Owen and I teach Luke.”
Beru moved her hands down to softly, yet firmly, grip Reva’s shoulders. “No matter who a person is, no matter where they come from, deep down, they may be hurting - and we do what we can to help.”
Reva watched as Beru’s face broke into a real smile. “Would you like something to drink? And perhaps some bacta for that wound you got there…” Reva felt her eyes rapidly blink back more tears at Beru’s mothering.
“You too Ben,” Beru then said sharply. “You’re not getting away until I can take a look at those injuries!”
Reva let a small, quiet, wet laugh leave her at Kenobi’s affronted expression. She took Beru’s offered hand and hobbled at her side, Kenobi trailing them, back to the homestead.
Inside, Owen the farmer had the kettle on, and was slowly stirring something on a pan, when he glanced up and saw the bedraggled group. He raised a brow and scowled at Kenobi, and gave a deep frown to Reva.
“Beru…?” he cautiously began.
“Get the medical bag please, dear,” was the only response Beru gave her husband. Owen glanced at the pan and kettle, and seemed to go to point to them, before Beru said; “I’ll keep an eye on it! Just get the medical bag - now, please.”
Owen set down his mug, shot another suspicious look at both her and Kenobi, before exiting the kitchen.
“Don’t mind him,” Beru reassured her guests. “He’s standoffish and protective on a good day - he gets even worse on bad ones. Especially if Luke is endangered in any way.”
Reva bit her lip, feeling her belly lurch as guilt rose up in her again. But Beru seemed to sense it, for she placed another comforting hand on her shoulder before walking quickly to the kettle, checking on it, and then pouring a few more mugs of whatever was inside.
“Here you go,” the kind woman said, placing a mug in front of both Reva and Kenobi. “Drink - you’ll feel better.”
Beru turned back to check on the pan, and Reva hesitantly sniffed the mug. A warm, atomic flavor rose to her nose - something she hadn’t tasted for a long, long time…
“Hot chocolate?” Kenobi asked, taking a small sip.
“Hmm-mmm,” Beru answered. “It’s Luke’s favorite. Owen was making some for him to sip on before he goes to bed - although,” she turned around and gave them a wryly, amused smile. “I’m afraid it’ll only make him hyper. I’m betting Luke gave Owen the kicked Loth-cat eyes and the pudding of a man caved.” she whispered conspiratorially to them. “I’m the only one immune to those eyes, by the way.”
Kenobi let out a small chuckle, and Reva saw a slight, sad look in his exhausted blue eyes.
Ah, right. Kenobi had been friends with Skywalker before he turned. Hearing about his former brother’s kid must hurt.
And yet, he had chosen to watch over Luke anyway. To keep him safe.
Reva had to admire that. Especially since he only went off-planet to rescue the boy’s twin sister.
That was when Owen reentered the room, a bag swinging from his hand. He took Beru’s place at the stove, exchanging the bag for the pan, and went right back to making whatever he was making.
Whatever it was, it smelled good and made Reva’s stomach growl.
“Here we go,” Beru said as she unpacked the medical bag. “Afraid we don’t have much, and I can’t use all of it on you two since…well…” she exchanged a fervent look with her husband, and Reva picked up the slight thought of slave trade from her mind.
Huh. Not only did these people protect a child who was not of their own blood, but they also risked their necks to help escape slaves.
Impressive.
“I don’t mind,” Reva said, voice a little scratchy. She cleared it, and continued; “And…thank you. For everything,” Beru smiled and went to work on the cauterized wound Vader had given her, and Reva slowly raised her eyes to meet the blank stare of Owen Lars.
“And…” she went on, keeping his gaze. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry for what I’ve done and- and for what I almost did.”
Owen didn’t say anything, just raised his hot chocolate to his mouth, but he gave a curt nod in acknowledgement.
It was something so small, but it seemed to take the gargantuan weight of guilt on Reva's back and float away with it.
Mind you, she still felt terrible for going after their child like that.
She was still angry and hated Vader with a burning passion.
But…
She looked around at the three people with her, sipping the hot chocolate as she did.
Beru, kind and forthright.
Owen, steady and unyielding.
And…Obi-Wan, understanding and righteous.
Maybe with these people, she can find her footing and get back on the right track.
She glanced at where she presumed Luke’s room was, and saw the little, peeping blue eyes of the child as he peeked into the kitchen. No one else seemed to notice, though Obi-Wan seemed to twitch.
The child met her eyes, and she slowly lowered her mug and gave him a small, hesitant smile. He curiously stared back at her, gave a little wave, and darted back into his room, mug of hot chocolate in hand.
Looking back over at Obi-Wan, when Beru moved to dig something else out of the medical bag, she leaned over and whispered to the Jedi;
“I’ll keep him a secret,” she promised, staring resolutely into his calm eyes. “Him and the girl. I won’t say a word about who they are.”
Obi-Wan merely inclined his head, but she caught the brief flash of relief in his posture as it was confirmed that Reva wouldn’t be a liability to the children’s safety.
And of course she wouldn’t, she thought to herself as Beur finished wrapping her side. She had been terribly wrong to use Leia as bait, and then use Luke to get back at Vader.
The real revenge, the right way with Vader’s children would be to protect them - from him, from the Empire, from the Inquisitors, and from the Emperor.
If those lousy bastards wanted to get their hands on those kids, they would have to deal with Reva Sevander.
For she will not, could not, allow another child to die if she had something to say about it.

[letter for Femslashex 2022]
Thanks for considering making something for me! Feel free to mix and match my prompt ideas or take inspiration from something else on my art/fic likes list if you want: https://thereinafter.tumblr.com/exchange-likes. I’m flexible and happy with any rating of thing you’re inclined to make for these requests.
Dragon Age
Leliana/Cassandra: I’m perpetually fascinated with their history together before DAI and how they might have started working together/learned each other’s capabilities. Or, could they have run into each other at some point in Val Royeaux while Leliana was working for Marjolaine? Or, I’m always here for them finding moments of solace or fun or escape together during the timeline of DAI, or mutually pining while being highly competent and busy with serious things. (For art, also always here for leaning into the left hand/right hand or bard/knight aspects of them.)
Cassandra/Inquisitor: Whichever Inquisitor you care to write/draw, I am always into them finding their way into love with each other, ways to be together, mutual discoveries. Whether that’s awkward flirting or dramatic saving each other from deadly peril or having cute slice of life experiences together or more sexy discoveries or literally anything on my likes list, it is good. (for art, similarly, I will never say no to Cassandra doing knightly things or receiving romantic gestures.)
Leliana/Cassandra/Josephine, Leliana/Cassandra/Vivienne, Leliana/Cassandra/Inquisitor: A lot of what I said above could also work here: Josie also has a past with Leliana at least, it’s possible Vivienne could have met them both, and the Inquisitor could fall for them together. Or this is also making me think about scenarios where two team up to comfort or rescue the other and there are feelings (huddling for warmth after Haven? sandstorm in the desert? someone gets captured or lost? someone out of her depth in Val Royeaux society? Cassandra dealing with her family? the Inquisitor losing her hand? or someone just having a bad day and the other two improving it).
I'm fine with however you want to picture/characterize the Inquisitor if you include her; also fine with whatever world state and time frame in Thedas you want. Random bonus prompt: I also find the Deep Roads, Adamant, the Fade, Nevarra, Serault, and the abandoned chateaux in the Emerald Graves particularly interesting, if you feel inspired to stick these pairings/trios into one of those places somehow.
DNW: noncon, hatesex, daddy/mommy kink, pregnancy, setting AUs for fic, permanent death of requested characters
Star Wars (Obi-Wan Kenobi)
I was very fond of Tala and wish there was so much more of her, especially in an f/f context (whether that’s fic, or art, or if you’re inspired to make a vid, that would be cool as well). And if you feel like including NED-B and/or her platonic relationship with Leia somehow, I also loved their interactions.
Reva Sevander/Tala Durith So, they’re both secretly working against the Empire for kind of opposite reasons, and they had some tension in that scene where they meet on the base, and I’d like something exploring that or where they interact more (have they run into each other previously? if Tala doesn’t die in the explosion might she find Reva after Vader stabs her? might their paths cross in the future post-show? might she help Reva turn away from the dark side?)
Tala Durith/OFC Alternatively, I’d like to see Tala get to be happy with someone, whether that’s sometime pre-canon (someone else she helped on the Path? someone from further in her past? someone who left NED-B with her?) or in a fix-it situation where she gets to carry on her resistance work instead of sacrificing herself.
DNW: noncon, hatesex (Reva/Tala angry or emotionally complicated sex is okay, but I like rivals/enemies to also have some kind of mutual respect and appreciation), pregnancy, setting AUs, permanent death of requested characters
Doctor Who (Torchwood)
Suzie Costello/Alex (Moving Target)
Moving Target is a Big Finish audio drama set pre-Torchwood where all of Earth is frozen in time except Suzie and this other woman Alex, who is the random target of a group of alien sport hunters, and Suzie ends up helping her fight them off one at a time for an indefinite period while the world stays frozen and a robot referee taunts them. It can be found here: https://www.bigfinish.com/releases/v/torchwood-moving-target-1392  I was delighted by how the premise combines a bunch of tropes I’m into (forced circumstantial intimacy, grumpy one/cheerful one, bodyguarding, weird timey-wimey shit, postapocalyptic-ish survival), and it had Suzie trying to be a hero for a while, and this all had me shipping them, up until the ending, at which I was very “nooo!”
Therefore, I would love some fic where they get together (at some point during this or instead of the canon ending?) and either things get resolved another way, or it’s suggested they might find another way out.
DNW: noncon, hatesex, setting AUs, permanent death of requested characters
Original Work
Village Witch/Neighboring Village Witch She’s Heard Talk About for Years Unlucky Knight/Oracle Who Dispenses Quests Retired Bodyguard Carrying a Torch/Lady She Once Served in Trouble Virginal Queen/Loyal Guardswoman who has long longed to make love to her Repressed Queen/Pining Knight/Sympathetic Arranged Bride Artist/Longtime Collaborator/Rakish New Patroness Absent-Minded Curator/Museum Ghost with a Crush Water Witch/Woman Who Enjoys Baths Spirit in a Bottle/Woman Who Releases Her Fairy Queen Undercover in Real World/Her Human Bodyguard
I’m interested in however you want to interpret any of these as fic or art. Also, while most of them could obviously be fantasy, SF or modern/urban fantasy or historical settings would be interesting as well.
DNW: noncon, hatesex, underage sex, pregnancy of requested characters, daddy/mommy kink, incest, permanent death of requested characters aside from the ghost

This is, hands down, the best thing I've written in a long time (if not... ever). You don't have to ship Codywan or ANYTHING to appreciate this Reva Sevander chapter of this hole in my heart. Truly. It's essentially a standalone piece that is just in the AU. And @disasterclintbarton [@flowerparrish]'s reading of this is just... magical. Truly.
Please give this a chance. It's so worth it or your money back.
Tumblr media
Written by kbirb & read by @flowerparrish
Relationship: Obi-Wan Kenobi & Reva Sevander | Third Sister
POV: Reva Sevander | Third Sister
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Chapter(s): this is a chapter 2.5 for this hole in my heart, taking place before/during chapter 2 (but could be read/listened to as a standalone)
Tags: Angst, Fit-It of Sorts, Post-Order 66, AU - Canon Divergence, Kid Fic, Jedi Culture & Traditions, Order 66 Aftermath, Adopted Children, Minor Yoda Appearance, Jedi Younglings (Star Wars), Youngling OCs (Star Wars), Anakin Skywalker Kills the Jedi Younglings, Podfic
Length: 5,020 words | Audio Length: 37 minutes, 30 seconds
Summary:
Reva swallows. This doesn’t feel right. She tries to use her senses to seek out the master’s Force signature. With him so close, it should be able to ping right off of her consciousness, as familiar as it is. But there’s this choking feeling instead. Something rotten, corrupted. Though it is not a tangible thing, it fills her nose and her lungs. She wants to vomit. | text + podfic
Notes:
If you enjoyed this and are enjoying the rest of the series, please let us know your thoughts! Especially on how you think Reva will continuing handling the trauma!
A note about the next chapter for the series: It might not be as quick of an update as the first three were! Kaje is up again for Cody POV and with working, moving, Codywan bingo, and Codywan AU Fest, they wound up super swamped. But, also, who knows. This Chapter 2.5 wasn't supposed to exist and here it is!

Bingo. She choose to be better. She choose to honor her fallen brethren.
Tumblr media
"Have I become him?"
"No. You've chosen not to."
