Planning for a second Trump administration is taking place now.
The most recent revelations...
More Christian Nationalism. A lot more.
More Abortion Restrictions.
Less Medicaid.
On that third measure, remember that MAGA Republicans never stopped trying to repeal Obamacare. They hate having anybody except the wealthy getting decent medical care.
GOP lawmakers cautiously open to Trump's ACA repeal push
And of course that doesn't count the ongoing "dictator" talk. Far right intellectuals are in love with what they call "Red Caesarism".
‘Red Caesarism’ is rightwing code – and some Republicans are listening
In June, the rightwing academic Kevin Slack published a book-length polemic claiming that ideas that had emerged from what he called the radical left were now so dominant that the US republic its founders envisioned was effectively at an end. [ ... ] In a discussion of possible responses to this conspiracy theory, he wrote that the “New Right now often discusses a Red Caesar, by which it means a leader whose post-Constitutional rule will restore the strength of his people”.
Yeah, their euphemism for dictatorship is "post-Constitutional rule".
Charles Haywood, a former industrialist the Guardian exposed last month as the founder of a secretive fraternal lodge and a would-be warlord, wrote in 2021 that “I like, if not love, the idea of Red Caesar” since “Caesarism, and its time-legitimated successor, monarchy, is a natural, realism-based system, under which a civilization can flourish”. The idea has been lodged in the broader sphere of conservative debate in the rightwing writer Stephen Wolfe’s book The Case for Christian Nationalism, in which he proposes a “Christian prince” whose rule would be “a measured and theocratic Caesarism”, and might perhaps be installed by “a just revolution” against secular rule.
The "Red Caesarism" thing is linked to Christian nationalism (see above).
When I think of Red Caesarism and Christian nationalist rule, this book comes to mind...

BTW, are you registered to vote? Have you or like-minded friends moved since the last election? Voting is based on address; you must register with your new address – even if it's just down the street.

idk which republican woman needs to hear this but yes, jd vance is talking about you too when he speaks about women and the fact that he thinks our one and only purpose on this earth is to get married and pop out babies.
doesn’t matter if you wanted kids and couldn’t have them due to infertility. doesn’t matter if you were pregnant and miscarried. doesn’t even matter if you had a stillbirth.
if you are a childless woman (I would even go as far as to say that if you are not a woman with more than one child), the right does not believe you have any worth as a human being and their words and policies make it clear that, to them, you are better off dead. no amount of being nice and pandering to them will change how they view you.

I’ve had a miscarriage of a wanted child that I loved that absolutely broke me forever. Guess what? I am still VERY pro choice. I think people should be allowed to get abortions ANY time, for ANY reason, and at ANY point in pregnancy with zero regulations and zero legal consequences

Move over, “gay propaganda”: Russian lawmakers are drafting legislation that would ban the propagation of “child-free” lifestyles in the mass media. Russian officials have warned that “child-free” threatens Russia with “demographic decline” and “the disappearance of the whole nation.”

As far as the 4B movement, men are already planning to just SA/r*pe women with no remorse. They are acknowledging that there will be an increase because of it. Men are in the comments of posts agreeing to happily "participate" in it.
They are laughing at us!!!
Like I said, this was never about the economy or progress for them. Our bodies were on the fucking line; and ,in their minds, they just won control over them!
Reina, signing off for today.

I am a young adult who has never been more afraid for my life. I endured a childhood of abuse from my family and now I fear I will face a very brief chance at claiming my own life. Project 2025 WILL ruin innocent lives. If Tr*mp is elected, and Project 2025 is enacted, a country that already has its minorities terrorized will hand us all personalized death sentences. The Supreme Court is already making unconstitutional power grabs in favor of the man that elected them.
Project 2025 will ban abortion in all circumstances. Girls, not even the age of twelve, will face further indescribable trauma or death from pregnancies caused by r*pe. People will be forced to carry non viable or fatal pregnancies. Women are more than their bodies.
The queer community will be further suppressed. Queer people will lose all personal and working rights. An outstanding citizen will be labeled a pervert unable to raise a child because of who they rightfully love. We will lose our jobs and livelihoods. I will lose access to my education because of the removal of anti-discrimination laws.
Suicide rates will rocket. And maybe thats their plan--to place us all in conversion camps until we are beat to death or commit suicide.
The "American Dream" is bullshit. Queer people have always exist and varieties of races and ethnicities will continue to exist no matter the laws enacted. I will not go down quietly.
"If you don't like it here, just leave." With what money? How do abused children, teens, and young adults with no support and no hope escape? How could I somehow leave everyone i love behind, despite situations?
And what's next: travel bans, jail time, house arrest, golden stars pinned to "undesirable" people?
Environmental protection will cease to exist. Non Christians will lose rights to religious practice and working and personal rights. The education system will be destroyed. Kids will be indoctrinated into extremist beliefs instead of being given a non biased education during which they can make their own choices.
CHILDREN WILL DIE. from lack of physical and mental healthcare, support, and protection, kids will die. Children are our future, and we must protect and nurture them.
Read the polices and educate yourself. There are many more terrifying changes to American life that make me cry from reading them.
My life will not be worth some pages of your Bible. These are basic human rights that could be lost. Vote, because lives depend on it.
I am fucking terrified.
Good sources:
TDLR: fucking scroll back up and read at least a paragraph to understand that innocent lives are in danger.

pro choicers will be like "this woman got arrested for having a miscarrige look what pro lifers have caused" When in reality said woman is actually being arrested for abuse of a corpse because funnily enough the law actually sees the unborn as people so if you have a miscarrige and decide to bury that child in your garden or flush them down the toilet without telling the authorities you will obviously get in trouble

there’s a lot of things i would love to change about the usa if i was in charge for a day, but probably the least controversial are:
immediate cessation of daylight savings bs nationally. none of this waiting for individual states to pass laws about it, just the whole thing all at once. whatever side of it we’re on when that happens, that’s how it’s gonna stay.
no more medical ads. why is this normal here!!! a lot of places have this banned already because i’m not a fcking doctor and probably shouldn’t be choosing medicine based on a marketing budget!
billboards outlawed. at minimum we should ditch these out in the countryside, take the vermont approach. but seriously, who would miss these? it’s just one step removed from ads blanketing the sky and i want them GONE.

MAGA Republicans would prefer to go back to the theocratic Puritan 1640s, but they'll settle for 1864 as a first step.
As for that year during the Civil War, we all know which side they would have been on.

Sorry to join the tumblr americans that are posting about elections, but I'm tired of seeing people acting like it's the end of the world or some shit because orange man is elected.
Here's a secret: Voting doesn't mean shit. Should you vote? Absolutely, but American culture ensures that the average American is severely un-educated about politics. Most Americans are completely loyal to a specific party. They're politically raised to be sheep.
Your vote matters, yes, but it also matters so little to the cultural zeitgeist. Unless something is done about the average American's political awareness, votes will always be dominated by sheep.
Presidential elections never had to be a "pick between two poisons," our culture simply convinced us that there are no other options and trying to change anything is useless. Sheep.
Now all I see are Americans wallowing in their despair. Waaahh there's nothing that can be done woe is me. Y'all really invested all of your hope in a vote that has such miniscule power because you're falling for the sheep mentality politicians want you to have.
Do you know what the common American citizen can do that's more powerful than voting? You can be an active participant in city council/town hall meetings. You can find out when they happen on your town's website. They are recorded so you can listen to one even if you missed it. Can't show up in person? These meetings are streamed. You can participate in the safety of your own home.
Send mail to the mayor. Speak about the problems you face that are local to where you live. If you have the priviledge being able to speak to townsfolk, bring it up in conversation if they seem comfortable. "Did you see the city council meeting?". Even if you never say anything or send mail to city council meetings, simply being aware is better than the average American.
Being aware puts pressure on your city. Being a person that speaks out about problems locally. This is where the common citizen holds the most power. I'm 100% certain my town would never have attempted to make bike lane and sidewalk plans if the townspeople didn't semi-regularly show up and complain about it every single meeting. We have a huge housing crisis and a bunch of homeless people that 10 people at town meetings constantly speak up for. What if there were more?
And another thing, do you call or mail your Senators and Representatives about any issues? Were you one of the many Americans completely silent about things like the Affordable Connectivity Program dying out? While similar to the miniscule power of voting, this does put at least a little bit of social pressure on those in political standing. Yes, many calls and mail are discarded, but they have to receive them. It gets recorded for data.
Again, the average American participates extremely little and it's not even just because they don't want to. It's because they don't even know they can. The Tumblr populace does not represent the average American in the slightest, in fact, I see people encourage calling Senators and Reps on here fairly often, but maybe do the same about city/town meetings. Push against the cultural zeitgeist of sheep mentality or nothing will change. Stop wallowing in your despair and maybe use that strong emotion towards something that matters even more; doing something about it.

Really neat how “safe, legal, and rare” turned into “on demand, at any point, no questions asked.”

With access to safe abortion and contraceptives being increasingly restricted, I just wanted to say a big ole happy international women’s day to the massive rise in vasectomies. You love to see it 💃🏻
