Ok so here it is! My #healthy version of the unicorn smoothie! ●For the blue (mine came out a tad more purple) Add the following ingredients to your blender: •1/4 cup coconut milk yogurt I used @anitasyogurt because it's yummy, clean and has no junk added! @Coyo is also a great one to use as well! •1/4 cup organic blueberries •Splash of cashew milk ▪Blend to a well mixed consistency ▪Drizzle to the inside of your glass (I added the extra to the bottom as well for a layered affect) Rinse blender between layers! Add the following ingredients to your blender: ●For hot pink •1 package of organic frozen Dragon fruit comes in a 4 pack ••the brand I used is @pitayaplus I found it at @wholefoods •1 banana •8 oz. Of @foragerproject cashew milk OR @harmlessharvest coconut water (this all depends on the taste you're going for..more creamy or more tropical, both ways are delicious) ▪blend to a well mixed consistency ▪pour into glass **I sprinkled chia seeds on top instead of sprinlkes 🦄 ENJOY☺ colors are different since they're not created from chemicals and are all natural...still pretty! Loaded with healthy fats and high in carbs...i would throw in a scoop of egg white or plant protein powder and it will make a great after workout smoothie! Though the sugars are coming from healthy foods I would still monitor my sugar intake for the rest of the day. I'm so in love with my new @primallifeorg products! Their products are amazing and by far the best natural body products I've purchased. I've finally found a natural deodorant that works and I'm not stinky, I've literally spent over $100 trying to find one! Sugar and cravings! Cutting out sugar is tough as it’s in virtually everything! But it’s certainly not impossible. When removing sugar from your diet the most important thing you can do is ensure you eat enough good, quality and healthy food. Most people, especially women, make the mistake of not replacing all of the empty calories they have been eating with good ones. By midday, there are headaches, mood swings and hunger pains which lead to reaching for more sugar laden snacks. Are you making this mistake? The first thing to do is make sure you load up your kitchen cabinets and fridge with healthy foods, and eat at least three meals a day. By doing this you will set yourself up for success much faster. A great way to start your day to avoid the sugar cravings in the afternoon is to eat plenty of protein for breakfast. Protein helps to keep blood sugar stable which makes you feel fuller longer. Helps heal your gut immune system booster Improve digestion Remineralize your teeth It is high in the amino acids proline and glycine which are necessary for healthy connective tissue (your ligaments, joints, around your organs...) There are so many things you can do with it...soups, stews, gravies...i like to enjoy mine as is, it's super comforting. Easy Directions: 2 lbs of grass fed bones (I used beef marrow bones from a local farm) 2 onions 3-4 large carrots 5 garlic cloves 4 celery stalks Tsp Himalayan salt Put all ingredients into the crock pot and fill up with water Set to low and cook 24 hrs Jar, and cool before tossing in the freezer. ALWAYS READ LABELS! That is something I can never stress enough to my clients and it's one of the first things I teach them. I wanted to buy my kids a treat and as I was reading the label in small print at the bottom it states that it is partially produced with genetic engineering! GMO! Looking at the front of the box it would appear to be a some what "healthier" option. Our bodies are not designed to break down fake foods or as I call them frakenfoods! Since winter made a come back is still soup season! I love homemade chicken broth! Home Made Herbal Chicken Stock The basis of a good soup is usually a good stock. Once you know how to make a good stock, you can use it for an almost endless variety of soups. This is a recipe I use for chicken stock that's easy to make, and tastes delicious. I usually make extra, and freeze what I don't use. 1 Whole Chicken, about 3 pounds 8 cups water 2 carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces 2 stalks of celery, cut into 2 inch pieces 1 medium onion, cut into large chunks 2 cloves of garlic, crushed 2-3 sprigs of parsley 1-2 sprigs of sage 2 sprigs of rosemary 2 sprigs of thyme 2 tsp. salt Cut the chicken up into pieces. Put the chicken, and the rest of the ingredients into a large pot, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium low, and simmer for 3 hours. Remove the chicken, and place in a bowl to cool. Pour the stock through a colander lined with cheesecloth, and chill. When the chicken has cooled enough to handle, remove the skin and the bones, and freeze or refrigerate the chicken to use in another dish Skim the fat off of the stock, and refrigerate, freeze, or use immediately. Yield: About 6 cups of stock, about 4 cups of chicken. Don't feel constrained by the ingredients and amounts listed in this recipe. You can use other herbs for a different flavor. You could add ginger peels and lemongrass for an Asian flavor. Just let your imagination run wild. You don't need to use a whole chicken either. You can buy the bone-in chicken breasts, and remove the bones before cooking. Then just put the bones in a plastic bag, and put them into the freezer. Then when you're ready to make the stock, just take the bones out and use them in the stock.
