Victorian photograph/picture frame.
I bought this frame yesterday for restoration because it was so pretty with the silver brambles and bramble flowers. It has a tiny piece of silver broken from the top right hand corner but apart from that it is in reasonable condition. It was sold as being circa 1830's but I think that it's probably later than that as I think that it is a photograph frame and photography didn't become popular until 1860's onwards. This frame was probably designed to display a 'cabinet card' size photograph.
The first photograph shows the frame as it was bought with the velvet layer underneath the silver intact. It was photographed on some blue William Morris fabric because I wanted to see what it looked like with blue underneath (as in the 2nd photograph).
The second photograph shows just the silver frame on the blue fabric with no velvet and the third photograph shows the velvet layer attached to the wooden base. The exposed velvet has faded to a greyish white colour and left the areas which were underneath the silver, dark blue, so that it looks rather like stencil work. This will make a lovely frame in its own right without the silver.
The intention is to put a fresh layer of blue velvet and a new wooden base underneath the silver frame and use the faded velvet which was underneath as a second picture frame.

Is Wally truly a puppet?
And no I don’t mean in the sense that he was a person before hand. (Please note this info is from memory as the site is down)
First off, the Restoration Team of Welcome Home talks about how they are finding pictures and old paraphernalia from the show. They talk about old scripts and show parts of books, but at no point do they talk about having the actual puppets. Yet Wally is seen as present.
Both in his drawings in the guest book as well as some other messages, it is shown that Wally is active and aware of the site.
Going back to the Restoration Team, hidden in the Q&A section there are hidden messages about needing to get it out and that it hurts both alluding to something in the Team leader’s head.
In order to supposedly get whatever is hurting the Team leader out of his head he started the website and the restoration project. And what if he did? What if it was Wally in his head that he had to get out and in doing so put him into the website? Maybe not fully or maybe letting Wally interact at least keeps him quiet, but most of the signs of Wally being around seem more like they come from inside the website than anything. Especially if they do not have his puppet, it makes me wonder what Wally is.
I know that Clown has made a few post talking about Welcome Home more relating to gaining a concise and awareness, so I know that the thought is mainly a puppet gaining sentience, but is he just a puppet?
Most of this is just speculation and such but I still think it should be consider that Wally may not be confined to his puppet body.

This pesky rivet would not sit still for me to drill it out! 😆
A pair of duckbill pliers helped solve that. This reminded me why we're not supposed to use these hardware store pop rivets on airplanes 😅 thanks previous builder of this plane! (Actually I blame the kit manufacturer, their construction manual said to use them. Luckily they are no longer in business, word on the street is they got into some shady business 🙃)
I'm going to replace all these pop rivets with standard solid shank button head rivets. But 1st- I really need to practice riveting on soda cans or something, as y'all can see, the metal on this plane is thinner than the paper I use for watercolors! But it's still incredibly strong stuff when used correctly, actually much much stronger than a soda can.

hello. have you heard about Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness Restoration Project? what do you think of it? i get the feeling that it isn't something you would enjoy but i am curious about your thoughts on it. thank you.
Hi! Due to big changes in my personal life, I'm now disconnected from TR fandom and unaware of the last ongoing news unless someone like you come and tell me. Also because most of the active fandom has moved from this website to Twitter and I have not an account there (and I refuse to have one). So I wasn't aware of this restoration project.
For what I've seen is a fanmade project of patches and mods to get the game to be more operational and playable for the fandom. I can't see why I would not enjoy something like this, encouraging fandom to try, replay and keep enjoying this game. I think, from my outter ignorance of the events, that anything made by fandom to bring TRAOD back to the board is a good initiative and, in the fact, the only and last hope for TR classic fans in this franchise.
Unfortunately nothing makes me think I'll have time anytime soon to try this project or simply replay the old version of the game, which, admittedly, was never a big problem for me. (Well, maybe Boaz's fight...)
Thanks anyway for making me know. It's good to see someone still wants to come and talk to the old witch in her hut xD

So while looking for white elephant gifts at my local Goodwill and I came across this music box.
being the horse-girl I am, I bought it.
Turns out it's from the 80's so I'm glad it's in as good condition as it is. At first I wasn't really sure how to wind it up because it didn't have a winder on it, but I was able to look it up and found out that you turn the top to wind it. I thought "Oh, that's so fun! And it's supposed to play "Carousel Waltz", I love waltzes!"
So I cranked it, expecting a janky tune that's kinda out of a horror movie but in a charming way, but got JUMPSCARED by it turning into a screeching horse tornado that was over as soon as I let it go.
I plan on taking it home and trying to fix it over break. I've never fixed a music box before (this is actually my first music box!) so wish me luck!

Importance of Restoration Document or Record Management Report
Restoration document management and restoration record management are two terms that are often used interchangeably, but they actually have slightly different meanings.
Restoration document management refers to the process of organizing, storing, and retrieving documents that are related to a specific restoration project. This can include everything from blueprints and contracts to photographs and invoices. The goal of restoration document management is to ensure that all of the project's documentation is easily accessible and can be used to track progress, make decisions, and resolve problems.
Restoration record management is a broader term that encompasses all of the documentation related to a restoration company's operations. This includes everything from employee records to financial records to marketing materials. The goal of restoration record management is to ensure that all of the company's documentation is organized, stored, and accessible in a way that meets legal and regulatory requirements.
Both restoration document management and restoration record management are important for ensuring the success of a restoration project. By having a well-organized and accessible system for storing and retrieving documentation, restoration professionals can save time and money, improve communication, and reduce the risk of errors.
Here are some of the benefits of using GetEncircle restoration document management and restoration record management:
Improved efficiency:Restoration Professionals can save time by having a system for storing and retrieving documentation. This can free up time to focus on other aspects of the restoration project.
Improved communication: Restoration professionals can improve communication with clients and other stakeholders by having a system for storing and retrieving documentation. This can help to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that there is no confusion about the project's progress.
Reduced risk of errors: By having a system for storing and retrieving documentation, restoration professionals can reduce the risk of errors. This is because they will be able to easily find the documentation they need and make sure that it is accurate.
A Restoration Document or Record Management report is a document that outlines the procedures and policies for managing documents and records during a restoration project. The report should include information on how documents and records will be identified, collected, stored, and disposed of. It should also include information on how access to documents and records will be controlled.
The purpose of a Restoration Document or Record Management report is to ensure that documents and records are properly managed during a restoration project. This is important because documents and records can be essential for documenting the restoration process, for complying with regulatory requirements, and for providing evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If you are a restoration professional, GetEncircle encourages you to consider implementing a system for restoration document management and restoration record management. It can save you time, money, and headaches.
