Listen... objectively this cannot be true, we’ve already established that elf knowledge is inherently unsexy but considering 90% of what I post is GONDOR knowledge I will definitely bask in this compliment thank you SO much I do feel very sexy when I’m talking about Gondorian customs and history and it’s sewage system, in fact I’ve never felt sexier than when I was feverishly writing about Minas Tirith’s sewage system.

5 and 11 of that hard mode character question thing for the lovely Tessa!

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

Okay, Tessa is absolutely that girl who when you compliment her dress she’s like ‘oh thank you it has pockets!’ and then shows you that it does indeed have pockets. However, because most women’s clothing sucks and she doesn’t have the free time to sew in her own pockets, I’m going to say what can be found on her person because while she may not have pockets, she does manage to carry things around with her. 

1) Her ID badges, she can’t get anywhere without these and she feels naked without them. She does not handle the first week of being undercover and not wearing her badges well. So many panic pocket/pat down checks only to remember she doesn’t need them now.

2) Pens and pencils. There is at least one on her person at all times, and once she came home after a long day and while letting her hair out of a bun, 6 writing utensils came down with her curls. 

3) Scraps of paper with notes on them. She does have a nice little schedule that holds all of her appointmnets and what not, but she always has little scrap notes tucked into a pocket reminding her of some thought she had during the day, a grocery list, or a reminder to call someone. She often forgets to take them out when she does laundry and her dryer is not a fan.

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

No questions asked when her cover was blown. She was absolutely convinced she was going to die right then and there. Tessa had been undercover for about three months and it was going well, she had established her place within the world of Project at Eden’s Gate, she was able to establish a relationship with Jacob through her involvement in the choir, Joseph had taken a liking to how she actively engaged cautious newcomers during the post sermon potlucks with kindness and good food, she had taken her first confession with John without hesitation (she did hate getting the tattoo, but at least it was in a location she couldn’t see unless she actively looked for it), and even Faith, who she struggled to find an in with because of her extreme aversion to the bliss and absolute lack of a green thumb always greeted Tessa with a warm smile and embrace that although fictitious, made her feel welcomed into shared spaces. 

She was careful too, only writing notes and listening back to her audio recordings in the dead of night when she knew she wouldn't be interrupted, and despite the disruption to her sleep schedule she always met the morning with a smile and her sunshine like disposition, leaving no one to the wiser. So when she was called into the chapel for a meeting with Joseph, of course, a tiny part of her began to panic, but mostly she was confident it was just to discuss something much more mundane. However opening the doors and finding the whole family standing at the altar, positioned similarity to the footage she had watched hundreds of times of the attempted arrest of Joseph sent a chill down her spine.  There was absolutely no reason why they would all be together and summoning her, and her alone, unless something very very bad was about to happen. While overcome with fear, she held herself together, even if just by a thread, and pushed forward into the room, never letting her smile waver. It wasn’t until she realized Joseph was clutching one of her notebooks in his grasp that her heart dropped and as she closed her eyes to blink, every moment of her life flashed in front of her. She knew exactly what this family was capable of, and no sinner would be spared, herself included.

My first date was pretty great. We went to see the Catching Fire and I embarrassed myself something major because I screamed during an explosion. He thought it was pretty funny and we're still dating. Also I have no idea how to message I hope I did this right.

You did fine on the message! And lol, it's understandable. In spite of movies being a classic 'date' idea, there are many potential routes for disaster. Talking during the movie, popcorn stuck in your teeth, tripping in the aisle, etc. Being startled is relatively manageable to recover from, though! I'm glad it turned out well! :)
