Please, you and your followers are my last hope. I searched through 150 pages of my AO3 history looking for a tgcf fic, and I'm beginning to think this fic might have been deleted. Does anyone recognize it?
It had four chapters, Hua Cheng had been cursed? to be stuck in a dream of his worst insecurities. Xie Lian dove into the dream to help. First chapter was Hong Honger in the Crown Prince Temple being attacked by demons. Xie Lian defeats the demons, and Honger admits that he's insecure about relying on Xie Lian.
The second chapter was Wu Ming in the cave of Ten Thousand Gods. He was insecure about his extreme devotion to Xie Lian. Third was Hua Cheng's female form in the Gambler's den. And the final chapter was about Hua Cheng with his butterflies.
Please, anything that would help me find this fic if it's still up, or let me make peace with losing it would be so helpful.
Hello, Anon.
I'll search for it later, and if I find something, I'd let you know in the comment section of this post.
If you know this fic, the author please comment.

heyyyyyyyyyy, can we get a little preview for the next chapter because i'm obsessed with celeb!au
Hey nonnie of course you can have a little preview ... I'm just a little stuck with story because it's another written chapter that is not my strong suit at all (will be back soon with another reddit and twitter thread ... i promise and the first time mo and he tian ever act together)

He tian was spiraling, he was close to losing his mind. A million thoughts were running in through his head. He couldn’t help but curse and pac around in his appartement … “their appartement” he thought. Mo Guan Shan was finally planning on officially moving in after years of begging, no more sleepovers, no more rushing him to his dorm at the asscrack of dawn to make sure his manager didn’t know he sneaked out. It was gonna be perfect he had it all planned out … he just doesn’t understand how a 18th line “journalist” was able to cause so much damage with one little article on weibo. One unconfirmed rumor and Mo Guan Shan’s whole career was hanging on by a single fucking thread. It wasn’t even proven to be real yet but major news networks are picking it up and multiple brands were already screaming their phone lines down about a breach of contract … asking fines to be paid. It’s all his fault

I’m back!! And I have an idea!
Mkmk so could we please get a Happy Ending type fic where after reader and Sebastian escape the facility, reader brings him home and makes him a good, home cooked meal?? I’m such a sucker for sweet domestic shit and I NEED Sebastian to finally be able to relax.
Thank you so much!

Sebastian’s heart pounded in his chest, the echoes of gunshots still reverberating in his mind. He stared at you, disoriented, his eyes wide with the lingering terror of his situation. It took him a moment to realize where he was, to understand that the screams, the glass shattering, and you. He saw you in front of him, screaming in panic, yelling, pulling on his coat as if your life depends on it. And somehow, he couldn't hear your voice no matter how hard he tried, his ears blocking out the sound.
“Se…b…ti..n”
“Seb…ast…ian…”
“Sebas…tian.”
He blinked a few times, his vision adjusting to the soft morning light streaming through the curtains that floated gently in the sea-breeze. The smell of the salty ocean mixed with the delicious aroma of the breakfast you had prepared for him. His body, tense and curled up, began to relax as the reality of the present settled in.
You stood by his bedside, your expression a mix of concern and tenderness. Your hand rested gently on his shoulder, the warmth of your touch grounding him, pulling him back from the depths of his nightmare. A nightmare. It was just a memory after all and the realization made him sink back in the pile of pillows you got him.
"Sebastian," you repeated softly, your voice steady and calm. “You were having a nightmare again.” You offered a small smile, trying to comfort him. It wasn’t the first time and wouldn't be the last. The events were still fresh in your memories. "I brought you breakfast. I thought it might help."
He looked at the tray, eyes lingering on the sunny-side-up eggs, the crispy bacon, the fresh slices of bread, and the hand-poured coffee that steamed invitingly. His stomach growled in response, reminding him that he hadn’t eaten properly in… well, he couldn’t remember how long. The sight of the food, the smell of it, suddenly made him aware of just how hungry he was.
“It looks… really good,” he murmured, his voice still a bit shaky. “Thank you.”
You smiled warmly, setting the tray down on the small bedside table in his reach. "It’s the least I could do," you said softly, sitting down on the edge of the bed beside him. His body was squished in the bed, his tail sticking a bit over the bed frame, so there wasn't much space for you. “You’ve been through a lot. I thought maybe a good meal might help you feel a bit more at home.”
Sebastian nodded, his eyes still searching your face, as if looking for reassurance that this wasn’t another cruel trick of his mind. That you were really there, that this place—this peaceful, cozy home by the sea—was real.
He sat up slowly, the rather small blanket falling away from his shoulders. His tail, which had been twitching anxiously, calmed as he reached for the coffee. He took a careful sip, savoring the rich, warm taste. It was a simple thing, but it was the best coffee he had ever had.
“This is… nice,” he said, his voice soft, almost uncertain. “I’ve never had anything like this.”
You chuckled, brushing a stray lock of hair away from his eyes. “It’s just coffee, Sebastian. Nothing fancy.”
“To me, it is,” he replied, his gaze meeting yours. There was a softness in his eyes, a vulnerability that he rarely showed. “All of this… it’s more than I’ve ever had.”
You reached for his hand, squeezing it gently. “You deserve this, Sebastian. You deserve a home, a place to feel safe. And I’m glad you’re here with me.”
He felt his heart swell at your words, a mix of emotions swirling inside him—relief, gratitude, something warmer, something he hadn’t allowed himself to feel in a long time. He had been through so much—too much—but here, with you, he felt a glimmer of hope. A chance for something better.
He set the coffee down and turned to you, his hand still in yours. “Thank you,” he said again, his voice thick with emotion. “For everything. I don’t know what I would have done without you.”
You leaned in closer, your forehead resting against his. “You don’t have to thank me, Sebastian. We’re in this together. Always.”
He closed his eyes, taking in the comfort of your presence, the softness of your touch. He breathed in deeply, letting the scent of the sea and the breakfast you made fill his senses. For the first time in a long time, he felt… at peace.
“Do you want to eat together?” you asked softly, not wanting to break the moment but knowing he needed to eat.
He nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Yeah, I’d like that.”
You moved the tray onto your lap, cutting into the eggs and bacon, offering him a forkful. He hesitated for a moment, blushing hard at the sudden offer, then leaned forward, taking the bite. His eyes closed as he savored the taste, a soft hum of approval escaping his lips. The taste of a lovingly self-made breakfast filled his mouth and it touched him to have such a meal after years of isolation and trauma.
“This is amazing,” he said, opening his eyes to look at you with genuine appreciation. “You’re amazing.”
You laughed softly, a blush creeping onto your own cheeks. “I’m just glad you like it. I wasn’t sure if you’d have an appetite after… well, everything.”
He nodded, understanding. “It’s… it’s a lot to take in. But this,” he gestured around the room, “this is good. Better than good. It feels… right.”
You smiled, your heart warming at his words. “I’m glad you feel that way.”
For a while, the two of you ate in comfortable silence, enjoying the simple pleasure of a home-cooked meal. The tension from Sebastian’s nightmare slowly ebbed away, replaced by a sense of calm, of normalcy.
After breakfast, you helped him out of bed, leading him to the small kitchen where you started brewing another pot of coffee. The room was filled with the rich, warm scent, and Sebastian leaned against the counter, watching you with a soft smile.
As the coffee brewed, you turned to him, reaching out to brush a thumb across his cheek. “You’re safe here, Sebastian. I promise. No more nightmares. No more running.”
He leaned into your touch, closing his eyes once more to savor the moment. “I know,” he whispered. “With you, I finally feel… like I’m home.”
You pulled him into a gentle hug, his arms wrapping around you in return. You stayed like that for a while, just holding each other, listening to the soft rhythm of the waves outside.
When you finally pulled back, you cupped his face in your hands, looking into his eyes. “Stay with me, Sebastian. We can make a life here, together. A real life.”
He nodded, his eyes brimming with emotion. “I’d like that,” he said, his voice a soft whisper. “I’d like that a lot.”
And in that moment, in the quiet comfort of your kitchen, with the sea breeze drifting through the open windows, you both knew that you had found something precious—something worth fighting for. A chance at happiness, at love, at a life free from the horrors of the past.
The sun had risen higher in the sky, casting a warm, golden glow over your small seaside home. The breakfast dishes were cleared away, and the rich aroma of fresh coffee still lingered in the air. Sebastian was seated at the kitchen table as best as he could with his tall size, his eyes following your every move as you bustled about, wiping down counters and humming a soft tune.
You could feel his gaze on you, warm and intent, and it sent a pleasant shiver down your spine. Ever since you had rescued him from the facility, brought him back to this sanctuary you called home, there had been a quiet understanding between you—a deep, unspoken bond that had grown stronger with each passing day.
Finally, you turned to face him, leaning back against the counter with a playful smile. “You know, you’re allowed to help around here,” you teased, crossing your arms over your chest. “I’m not your maid, you know.”
Sebastian chuckled, his lips curling into a soft smile that reached his eyes. “I would, but I’m not sure I’d do it right. You seem to have a system,” he said, his voice warm and teasing.
You raised an eyebrow, feigning offense. “Are you saying I’m a neat freak?”
“Maybe,” he teased back, his smile growing wider. “But I don’t mind. It’s… comforting. Feels natural.”
Your heart swelled at his words. You knew how much he had been through, the horrors he had witnessed and endured, and to hear him say that this place—the home you had made together—felt like home to him meant more than you could express.
Pushing off the counter, you moved to stand in front of him, placing your hands on the back of the chair he was sitting in. “Well,” you said softly, your tone turning more serious, “I want you to feel at home here, Sebastian. I want you to feel like this is where you belong.”
His gaze softened, his eyes searching yours. “I do,” he whispered, his voice barely audible. “I really do.”
There was a moment of silence, the air between you thick with unspoken emotions. Then, almost without thinking, you reached out, your fingers gently brushing against his cheek. His skin was warm under your touch, and you felt him lean into your hand, his eyes fluttering closed.
“Sebastian…” you whispered, your voice barely more than a breath. “I… I’m glad you’re here. I don’t know what I would have done if…” Your own memories of the escape flashed through your mind.
He opened his eyes, capturing your gaze with an intensity that took your breath away. “I’m here,” he said firmly, his voice steady. “And I’m not going anywhere. Not without you.”
The weight of his words settled over you, filling you with a warmth that spread from your chest to the tips of your fingers. Without thinking, you leaned down, your forehead resting against his. The world seemed to pause, the only sound the gentle crashing of the waves outside and the soft beating of your heart.
“I’m glad,” you whispered, your lips so close to his that you could feel his breath against your skin. “I’m really, really glad.”
And then, as if drawn by some invisible force, you closed the distance between you, your lips brushing against his in a soft, tentative kiss. Sebastian’s breath hitched, and for a moment, you worried you had crossed a line. But then his hand came up to cup the back of your head, pulling you closer, deepening the kiss.
It was slow and sweet, a gentle interaction, a promise of something more. His lips were soft against yours, his touch tender and careful, as if he were afraid you might disappear if he held on too tightly.
When you finally pulled back, both of you were breathless, your foreheads still touching. You looked into his eyes, searching for any sign of hesitation, but all you saw was warmth and affection—a deep, unspoken love that made your heart flutter.
“Sorry,” you murmured, a small, shy smile playing on your lips. “I just… I needed to know.”
Sebastian smiled, his thumb brushing gently against your cheek. “Know what?”
“That this is real,” you replied, your voice barely more than a whisper. “That we’re real.”
He nodded, his smile soft and reassuring. “It is,” he said softly. “It’s as real as it gets.”
You smiled back, your heart swelling with happiness. “Good,” you said, your voice light and teasing. “Because I’m not letting you go anywhere.”
Sebastian chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
You stood there for a moment longer, just holding each other, savoring the quiet comfort of the moment. Then, with a soft sigh, you pulled away, your hand slipping into his. “Come on,” you said, your tone bright and cheerful. “I’ll show you around the rest of the house. There’s a lot more to see than just the inside. I haven't showed you the back.”
He grinned, standing up and following you as you led him out of the kitchen and into the cozy backside of the house. The sun was streaming down from the blue sky, casting warm patches of light on the worn but comfortable outdoor furniture. An old wooden bench, placed with pillows and a jar of seashells you had collected over the years.
“This is nice,” Sebastian said, looking around with a smile. “Feels… free. "Comfortable."
The back of the house is directly connected to the sea, like a little porch hovering above the water.
You nodded, squeezing his hand gently. “It is.”
He looked at you, his expression soft and full of affection. “Thank you,” he said again, his voice full of sincerity. “For everything.”
You smiled, leaning up to press a soft kiss to his cheek. “You don’t have to thank me, Sebastian.”
He nodded, his smile widening. “Yeah,” he said softly. “But I still want to.”
Your eyes sparkled in the sunlight. "Let’s go back inside...P.AI.nter must be awake by now too."
And as you walked together, hand in hand, the sun warming your skin, you knew that no matter what the future held, you would face it together. Because here, in this cozy home by the sea, with Sebastian by your side, you had found something precious—something worth holding onto after all the pain.

eyebrows came up in surprise, but it shouldn't - what tian feng knew of the princess, caution seemed not to be in her wheelhouse of skills. perhaps this is why she wore the crown, and not the rest of china. " may i suggest that you may put some thought towards your safety? we do not yet know all the dangers this new place may hold for us. "
a light laugh came from the captain at her request - " i suppose i must now. rest would never come easy if harm came your way, and i was not here to prevent it. alright - for the next hour, i have nowhere to be, so i am yours to serve. "

" oh. to be quite honest with you, i've never thought about if it was safe or not. " kai-ming told him with complete honesty. she hadn't thought about it. never had, in fact. kai-ming was headstrong, shamelessly so — and she tended to think about her actions after the fact and if an action seemed harmless to her, well, then she deemed it so.
the princess looked around, then back at him. " besides, i'm not alone now ! you're here ! " as if that changed anything. " would you accompany me ? "

Guide to Watch TGCF Donghua Season 2
Tumblr media
With the new season of the Tian Guan Ci Fu/Heaven Official's Blessing donghua finally releasing soon, I wanted to make a post explaining the different ways fans can watch and support it! Things have changed since season 1, so my old guide is no longer relevant apart from the infographics on how to subscribe to Bilibili CN (and the YouTube channel)!
And to be upfront: the main sites that are going to be broadcasting the donghua have been very sparse with information. I fully expect that we will have to wait until after the first episode releases to know all the details, so while I am making this guide to help people right now, things might change! Please keep that in mind and stay patient! I will post any important updates in the replies as I can!
Additionally, because of copyright/licensing, different sites are going to work in different regions. I do not know with 100% certainty what is going to work in a particular country. There's gonna be some trial and error!
So the main options we have for season 2 are:
Crunchyroll
Sub price: $9.99 USD per month for basic (local prices may vary)
Regions: Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Oceania.
Pros: Easy to subscribe to if available in your region.
Cons: Unlikely for true simulcast so it'll be a bit delayed.
Link to main site (season 2 listing not up yet)
For app: download via App Store/Google Play Store.
Bilibili. tv (EN site/app)
Sub price: $4.99 USD per month (local prices may vary)
Regions: Southeast Asia only.
Pros: Airs earlier than Crunchyroll. Interface is in English.
Cons: If you want to watch it outside of SEA, you'll need a VPN.
Link to Season 2 on website
For app: download via APK link on website if you are outside of SEA. Otherwise use App Store/Google Play Store.
Bilibili YouTube Channel
Sub price: $4.99/$5.99 USD per month (local prices may vary)
Regions: Many -- EXCEPT Japan, South Korea, the Americas, UK, Australia, New Zealand.
Pros: Easy to subscribe if available in your region.
Cons: If you want to watch it from the regions listed above, you'll need a VPN.
Link to channel
It's the youtube app....
Bilibili. com (CN site/app)
Sub price: $9.99 USD for 3 months
Regions: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pros: If they're gonna air season 2, then they might be the source broadcast if the EN site isn't. Also probably cheapest for those abroad.
Cons: Chinese interface may be intimidating. Not 100% sure if it'll air as normal.
Link to Season 2 on website
For app: download via App Store/Google Play Store.
(NOTE: If you are in Japan, it will be available on WOWOW. If you are in South Korea, it will be available on Laftel.)
F.A.Q.s
🔹What is the release date/time? Bilibili EN has announced it as 20:00 GMT+8 on October 18th. If it releases on Bilibili CN, it'll probably be the same time. Crunchyroll has stated October 18th, but has not yet announced a time as of the posting this guide. I checked. Japan and South Korea have their own release times, so please consult the relevant broadcasters!
🔹Can I watch it on Netflix/Amazon Prime/etc? These streaming services will likely only have it after the whole season concludes, and with a significant delay. For reference, it took several months after finishing for season 1 to be released on Netflix.
🔹Which platform should I choose? Whichever one you can actually access, and feel most comfortable using!
🔹When should I subscribe? Personally, I'll be waiting until the last day before release, just to make sure I have the most information possible. However, I'm sure the idea of doing that makes many people nervous, so... yeah. Whenever is convenient for you!
🔹Which one will have the donghua the quickest/earliest? Probably Bilibili CN & Bilibili EN. I suspect they'll simulcast with each other. I cannot be 100% certain about anything though, because of limited info! For season 1, YouTube and Funimation (now Crunchyroll) were delayed, and it's hard to say if they'll be better this time or not.
🔹Do I need a VPN for Bilibili EN or their YT channel? If you are outside of SEA, yes.
🔹Do I need a VPN for Bilibili CN? Probably not, unless you are in a country that restricts access to CN sites and apps (like India).
🔹Which VPN should I use? This will be up to you! It's best to research what the different options are, and what will work for your needs!
🔹How will I know I'll be able to watch season 2 from my region? The most surefire way is to subscribe to a platform that has officially announced to be serving your region (e.g. Crunchyroll for the Americas). Unofficially, if you can watch the latest trailer and other promo videos on your chosen platform, then there's a good chance you're okay! The exception to this is the YouTube channel, which has some of the trailers public, but has all of season 1 unavailable if you aren't in the right region.... Additionally, be mindful, because even if you're able to see season 1, season 2 might still be region-locked on certain platforms. (E.g. you can watch all of season 1 via Bilibili EN if you're from the USA no problem. But you can't access season 2 without a VPN to a SEA server.)
🔹What languages are going to be available and will there be English subtitles? While dubs for multiple languages have been confirmed, I'm unsure if any of these will be available on release. It'll likely be offered only in Chinese first. For season 1, there were hardcoded CN & EN subtitles for Bilibili on release. Funimation re-subbed the episodes (EN) for their own release, and Crunchyroll will probably do the same.
🔹I watched it on Funimation last time, can I watch it through them this time? No, they were absorbed (in some capacity idk) by Crunchyroll. So they are not distributing season 2 of TGCF, only Crunchyroll is.
🔹Is season 2 actually available in China and thus on Bilibili CN? Yes and no! As long as you are not in mainland China, it seems you will have access to season 2 through Bilibili CN. All promo materials and trailers seem to be available to us, which is a good sign! (They are not available for mainlanders, but mainland fans are able to watch via HK/Macau versions apparently.)
🔹Hopeful that it will be available, I would like to watch it via Bilibili CN, so how do I sign up and subscribe? To make an account, consult this reddit post. To subscribe, please consult the guide below! It's a little old (made it for season 1) but still works pretty much the same.

Two illustrations of the "are you sincere?" scene, TYK, chapter 65.
More words below! VERY VERY LONG POST AHEAD
It's probably one of the most famous scenes of the book, considering it's the closest to an actual, outspoken declaration of feelings. Funnily enough, my first reaction to the scene was that of frustration, since WenZhou get once again interrupted, and the running gag + horniness distracted me from everything else that was going on in that scene which I now consider to be truly incredible, imo.
Those two illustrations, but mainly the second one, mainly take from one small paragraph in particular, but I will elaborate a little bit on other parts as well. First, though, a translation of the scene:
[...] Wen Kexing raised his head, looked at him. The lamp's light softening Zhou Zishu's chiselled features shone through his eyes, and Wen Kexing was lost in thoughts— He felt like he and this man had known each other for such a long time. From the moment he'd noticed his shoulderblades, felt this rush of excitement, to when he'd started liking who Zhou Zishu was, when he'd thought——so this is the Commander of Tian Chuang. Suddenly, he'd felt as if he'd met his other self. Both of them, lone wolves caught in a hunter's trap, struggling for freedom to no avail, until they had resolved to coldly gnawing off their own legs in the end. He'd felt compelled to follow him around, watched him, until he suddenly realised—if Zhou Zishu could live like this, then surely, so could he? He thought, and thought, until he fell, fell deep until he couldn't climb out anymore. Wen Kexing absent-mindedly reached out to gently caress Zhou Zishu's face, only brushing him with his fingertips. He felt a slight chill from contact of Zhou Zishu's rough skin against his own palm littered with scars and callouses. All of a sudden, he blurted: "Don't die. Should you die and leave me behind, I would be so lonely..." Zhou Zishu grasped his wrist, but didn't shake him off. He smiled: "As long as there is the slightest chance for me to live, I won't die. My life is mine, my gong-fu is mine. The Heavens granted me this fate, and taking it back from me won't be that easy." Zhou Zishu's breath brushed against Wen Kexing's fingers. He squinted, then said, seemingly deep in thoughts: "Once upon a time, an owl knocked over the bowl of red water carried by a villager..." Zhou Zishu looked at him and, his expression unchanged, he gently asked the question he'd already asked before: "Why was the villager carrying a bowl of red water?" Wen Kexing's lips slowly stretched into a smile, and he answered: "Water is colourless, but should blood trickle into it, wouldn't it turn red?" Zhou Zishu still looked at him but remained quiet. As if Wen Kexing's spirits had suddenly returned to him, his faraway gaze coming back into focus.
"Ah-Xu, you should sleep with me once," Wen Kexing said, his eyes smiling up into crescent moons. "This way, we'll have each other in our hearts; so you won't die so easily, and neither will I. How does that sound?" His tone was playful, but Zhou Zishu didn't banter back; he merely watched Wen Kexing with an odd glint in his eyes, and after a moment, he asked: "Are you sincere?" Wen Kexing chuckled, leaned forward so that his breath was brushing against Zhou Zishu's lips: "Can't you tell, if I'm sincere or not?" Zhou Zishu faintly startled, before he replied in a low voice: "I... I really can't. I haven't seen much sincerity in my life, and can hardly discern it. So, are you?" Wen Kexing's fingers climbed up along the curve of Zhou Zishu's shoulder, and he tugged his bun loose. His black, silky hair cascaded down, at once making the hardened man appear a few shades more fragile. Wen Kexing's playful smile faded, and in a soft, yet deeply grounded voice, he said: "I am." He closed his eyes, and pressed his lips to Zhou Zishu's, finally lifting the heavy turmoil from his heart. Zhou Zishu slowly reached up, a long moment passing before he rested his hand upon Wen Kexing's shoulder, gripping his robes with his fingers. [...]
Phew that was a bit long but it felt necessary! TL by me.
Obviously, the second illustration is based on this passage:
"Wen Kexing's fingers climbed up along the curve of Zhou Zishu's shoulder, and he tugged his bun loose. His black, silky hair cascaded down, at once making the hardened man appear a few shades more fragile," which I have lost my mind about too many times to count. I feel like the contrast between this and the mention of Zhou Zishu's rough skin, and his assured words above, is very cool.
About the scene itself, while I guess it's mostly self-explanatory, I feel like mentioning what particularly touches me here:
I think that Wen Kexing's impression of Zhou Zishu, his freedom, "the way he lives", is really the core of what moved Wen Kexing in the first place. It is also echoing that scene, back in Dongting, when Wen Kexing watches Zhou Zishu lazily sitting in a restaurant, feeling what could be interpreted as resentment or envy when he sees how free he looks.
Wen Kexing unconsciously halted his steps. He stared at Zhou Zishu’s relaxed silhouette for a while, with no trace of an expression in his face or eyes. His heart swelled with some strange feeling—strange, in that it was no feeling at all. He felt as though this man was mocking him with this wordless posture; he who rushed around for one thing or another, who was burdened with so many cares, yet obstinately put on a devil-may-care persona. Zhou Xu—as carefree as duckweed, he thought, with a body like willow catkins. In all the world, with its boundless perspectives, where could you find someone who walked their path alone and never allowed anything to trouble them?
(TL by Lianzi)
Wen Kexing longs for him, to be like him, to be free like him; they both came to having to hurt themselves to be free of their shackles, but Zhou Zishu kept living freely afterwards.
By evoking the red water, the past he could never tell straightforwardly, I think that Wen Kexing is expressing how this past of him has been his shackles and how now, he wishes to follow along, to follow Zhou Zishu in his freedom.
And then, Zhou Zishu's words—they almost feel like his own confession, to me. Later, by the tree as well, his words refer to life, the will to live, and not being really direct, it sounds like his way of telling Wen Kexing, "I am serious about you." Wen Kexing was the first one to hold onto his life, to want for Zishu to live, and now Zishu follows along.
His words feel so powerful, and said so straightforwardly, baring himself to Wen Kexing like that, it makes so much sense for me to expect, finally, a proper confession from him as well, considering how each and every one of Wen Kexing's declarations have so far been over the top, jokey or deflected one way or another. Of course, I also think that Zishu does feel some form of insecurity, does need reassurance, and is gambling a lot here, but I guess... he's essentially worked to bare himself and expects the same in return.
ANYWAY. I think this is a gorgeous scene. I DO think, for balance, that the ending is a bit abrupt and that they would have deserved for Priest not to undermine the emotions right away—for that does take away from it a bit and distracts (calling back, once again, to the tired running gag of "oops they're interrupted). Not that the joke shouldn't have come up, but it could have waited a bit more.
But yeah! Thanks for reading!

Kiyana sighed as she hung up the phone with Joe. He had called to see if she was okay after he said Josh seemed down and depressed at the arena. She had told him about Shanté coming to their house and he suggested for her to fly to California and told her he would help her and Josh with their relationship like he used to in highschool to which she laughed at and agreed to fly out to California.
It seemed like a good idea to fly out and work on her issues with Josh face to face but that whole ordeal with that bitch the other day put a sour taste in her mouth about Josh. But Joe was right, they needed to actually work on their marriage instead of her ignoring Josh when he was home off of the road.  So she sent Joe a text telling him that she was on her way to the airport.
Kiyana packed a bag for herself before calling her mother and asking if she could come watch the boys for a couple of days, which she happily agreed to. Kiyana had a weird feeling in her stomach, not a bad one just… she knew something was going to hit the fan.
“Are you sure this is the right decision?” Her mom asked Kiyana who shrugged.
“I honestly have no idea. I mean I don’t even want to fix our relationship but something in my gut is telling me to get on this flight to California.” Kiyana’s mom nodded and gave her daughter a tight hug before saying goodbye as Kiyana’s Uber drove away.

The ride to the Chase Center was nerve-wracking. If Kiyana was being completely honest she wasn’t even sure why she was going to the arena. Josh had an affair.  And the woman who had an affair with, thought it would be a good idea to show up to her front door. Honestly Kiyana should’ve been at her divorce attorney’s first thing in the morning but she couldn’t work up the courage to actually do it.
She sent Joe a text saying she was outside and he replied immediately saying he was on his way. She only had to wait outside by the security entrance before the door opened and Joe walked out. Her heart rate spiking as her eyes fell on him. Odd, she thought.
“Damn KiKi .Who you tryna impress?” Kiyana rolled her eyes at Joe’s somewhat compliment and opened her arms up for a hug. She closed her eyes and melted into the hug and inhaled his scent. She bit her bottom lip and took another deep inhale of his scent before he pulled away from the hug.  Yup this was a bad idea.  She thought especially since she couldn’t stop thinking about him since the moment they shared in the club.
Joe pulled out of the hug and smiled. “I’ll have my driver come get your bag.” She nodded as he pulled out his phone to text the driver, who showed up two minutes later to take her suitcase back to Joe’s travel bus.  “You ready to go inside?” She nodded and started to walk with him into the arena but stopped and grabbed his hand so he could stop walking too.  “What's wrong? Having second thoughts?”
“What's your motive?” Joe his head back reared back as if she had slapped him.
“Whatchu’ mean KiKi?” Kiyana sighed and shifted on her feet then looked around to make sure they were still alone.
“I mean like a week ago, you know at the club.” She shifted again uncomfortably.  “And now you’re paying for my flight and saying I should make up with him.” Kiyana shrugged. “I don’t get it.”
Joe nodded and stroked his beard. “I mean you know how I feel about you KiKi, ain’t shit change since high school,” Kiyana’s jaw dropped open a bit  “But Josh is my family and if I can help y’all out I will.” Joe lied, If he could have his way, Kiyana would’ve been in his bed last weekend after he made her cum in the club. He didn’t want to help Josh, not one fuckin’ bit.
Kiyana stared at him before nodding and walking around him into the arena. She didn’t know why she suddenly felt disappointed. She knew about his crush on her in high school, everybody did  “He just went out to his match against Reed, but we can wait for him in catering, you hungry?” Kiyana nodded and followed him to catering, saying Hi to WWE superstars she had met before when she had come to shows with Josh.
Joe had walked her over to a table at the back of the room and told her he would be right back as he went to make them both a plate of food.  It was obvious the majority of Josh’s coworkers knew about his affair from how some of them kept looking over at her and whispering to each other.
“Don’t worry about them.” Joe said as he came back over with their plates. “It’s basically high school all over again.” Kiyana nodded but still looked over at the table where a handful of women were still whispering and glancing over at her.
“It seems like everyone knew but me.”
“I mean to be honest KiKi, they were being kinda obvious.” Kiyana narrowed her eyes. “I only found out a couple days before he told you. Someone came up to me and asked if he divorced you and said they seen her comin’ out his hotel room at like two in the morning. She also walks around here wearing his shit.”
“Oh.” Kiyana said, looking down at the table. Hearing that he wasn’t even trying to hide his affair hurt. This was such a bad idea. Should’ve just went to the lawyers office like I planned.  She rolled her eyes as a tear slipped down her cheek. She was tired of crying over Josh. She thanked Joe when he handed her a napkin to wipe her tears.

Josh let out a groan as he came back into the Gorilla Position and saw Shanté waiting for him with a smile on her face. She started clapping as soon as she saw him. “Yay! You won.” She tried to give him a hug but he pushed her off of him.  “Josh, what’s the problem?”
“How many times I gotta say that I'm done with this shit Shanté? Whatever we had is done aight?!” He brushed past her and started walking towards the locker room.
“But I love you!” She cried out after him. Josh stopped walking and turned towards Shanté
“No, don’t do that shit. You knew what this was. It wasn’t supposed to go on as long as it did. I’m sorry but I love my wife and I'm not giving her up for nothing.”
“Yeah, well your precious wife is in catering with Roman right now.”
“What?” Josh asked, confused. Kiyana was not in California, she was definitely in Florida. “No she not.”
“Why I gotta lie for Josh. I heard them talking earlier too. You might not be the only one who stepped out on your marriage.” Josh frowned his face up and turned away from Shanté and started making his way towards catering. You might not be the only one who stepped out on your marriage. What the fuck is that suppose to mean?
Josh was shocked once he entered catering and saw Kiyana sitting at one of the back tables with Joe. He started to walk over to them but stopped as he actually got a good look at them. They were sitting way too close for his liking. , Kiyana was damn near on Joe’s lap and for some reason Joe had his hand on Kiyana’s thigh. Josh felt his anger rise and he stormed over to where they were.
“The fuck is this?” He asked gruffly, growing irritated as neither one of them moved away from each other. “What is this?” He asked again, gesturing to Joe’s hand that was on Kiyana’s thigh.
“See told you.” Shante said, smugly as she seemed to materialize out of thin air. “Told you she cheated too.”  Kiyana rolled her eyes and look annoyed but her heart was pounding a furious tattoo. She glanced over at Joe who had a smirk on his face.
“Tell him what happened at the club.” Shanté said, now talking directly to Kiyana. Kiyana looked around catering and was glad to see that it was almost empty and the few superstars who were still there weren’t paying them any mind.
“Nothing happened - “ Kiyana started but was cut off by Joe.
“What we did ain’t nothing worse than what y’all two did.”  What. The. Actual. Fuck?!

oh, wow. i don't know what to say...
this episode feels like a fever dream to me. i can't really wrap my head around it. but everything about it is just beautiful. and painful. but so wonderful.
honestly, i had a hard time breathing during the first 10 to 20 minutes of the episode. just because, maybe i'm not used to seeing jiang tian and sheng wang being this 'cold' with/towards each other. from the previous episodes, even though they're standing or talking or looking at each other at a distance, it's always brimming with warmth. but the opening scenes of this episode feel cold and distant and awkward.
and because of that... i cried. hahaha. weird, right?
i didn't cry yesterday even though (in my opinion) episode five was even more heart-wrenching. but this one... i cried multiple times :( probably because I don't like seeing fights commencing (even in real life). this silent treatment and cold shoulder thing; i don't like it. it breaks my heart.
and then sheng wang no longer wants the model student title, letting go of something he doesn't have control over. and jiang tian doesn't want it too—because they're in this together. they trust each other. they only have each other.
and then the clouds are slowly clearing once teacher zhao talked about living without plans or schedules. that epiphany on both sheng wang and jiang tian's face was so moving. and jiang tian just took sheng wang's hand as they ran to their next class. //that was so beautiful. that was one of my favourite scenes in the trailer :(//
and it's just beautiful. when jiang tian asked, "when are you going to reopen?" and feed sheng wang that hawthorn candy... like this is a sign of them making truths.
and when jiang tian said, "don't be half-hearted with me," and sheng wang's instant reply, "from now on, I'll tell you only the truth," oh, God. oh, Lord. my heart was pounding.
something about sheng wang's smile. something about jiang tian's facial features softening. it breaks my heart. but in a good way. the string of fate connecting them right now feels so fragile but so beautiful and honest and pure. i hope it'll be that way for as long as the universe allows them to be happy—before another gush of wind interrupts—before more plans are written on pieces of tear-stained paper.
