KEN: How'd you get out in time?! (From "The {Digital} Void"'s EXPLOSION?!!) Inter-national O.C. Chosen Shane: Well, I ran, but. ... I, "got pulled" back into the "stream" just in time. So I watched from above, and - it basically imploded on itself, and dispersed into Digital data. SHANE: ... Whoever made those "capsules"... didn't want them to be found without a struggle. They were likely meant to be "kept" there indefinitely. And whoever "accessed" those capsules KNOWING the tech involved... KEN: ... They were fighting for release. Shane: Because they ruined the glass from the inside, THEN disrupted this... "plan". Ken: You believe it was a "plan"? Shane: Yeah. And whoever it "was" that made the "plan" could still be active. KEN: Currently, we had been fighting the "Dark" "Digital monsters". But they had all had their corrupted data "healed" as of over 10 years ago. They're ALL on our side now... SHANE: ... And they didn't know if they had a true "leader"? KEN: ... They're innocent. (Firmly!) I genuinely believe them to be. (The majority of them...) KEN: ("Angel" and "Akuma" may know something ELSE but... we'd have to ask them...) Shane: Because. Whoever originally "set up" that place... they definitely had "malicious intent". And... SHANE: I think they meant to do "something" with "the eight" beings "trapped" in there. Eventually... KEN: ... KEN: This is just a hypothetical question, but, that place you "visited"... does the name "Dark Area" mean anything to you? SHANE, HEARD IT FROM 'MON AT TIME: ... (How Do They KNOW--) SHANE: If I said it did? But I didn't find out until much later after the fact. (Half-lying) KEN: If those "eight" were being held in the "Dark Area"... and it was by our current possible "enemy", whom we know very little about... Shane: You all don't know much, huh?... KEN, CONTINUING: And the "intention" of that "enemy" being... for those "eight" to, perhaps, either, "fall under enemy control" or even "PERISH"... Shane: Depending on whatever was the "outcome" of "holding" them prisoner... KEN: Either way, those "eight" were likely being led straight to their eventual "DEATH"s... SHANE: (Flashbacking to the panels accessed) SHANE: ... The password to access the panels was "DEATH". (It Wasn't Very Creative.) And the code... (Was set to let the capsules run indefinitely.) KEN: I'd have to ask Koushiro-san again, but... KEN: I'm pretty sure... these signs are the "CLUE"... that the enemy involved could be CALLED... SHANE: SHANE & KEN, TOGETHER: "DEATHMON". KEN: "DEATHMON" was trying to "KILL" the "EIGHT" "CHOSEN" 'Children'. Shane: So the one who "broke out" from the INSIDE... SHANE & KEN: ... "Koushiro"

Repeat!Daisuke, holding up a Not Great Drawing: Well, basically, to stop the Virus, which Meicoomon was Infected with, from being spread further amongst the Digimon, your group 'originally', in 2005, went off to the Digital World to beat up, and get information out of, one of the key guys who first appeared, that "Alphamon"... then the fake Kaiser showed up!... then the older "Gennai"! Jou: T-Those {drawings} look nothing like them!! Mimi, EXCITED: No, I kind of see it!! Repeat!Ken, Helpfully Adding as Daisuke holds up more drawings: But Alphamon wasn't necessarily a wholly "bad" Digimon, {though Alphamon DID Get up to a Lot of Things...} and the "Kaiser" was a fake who ended up 'being' that "Gennai", who was ALSO a fake. Repeat!Daisuke: So you realized that the guy who's extremely evil was {Holding up scribbled Drawing!!} "Yggdrasil", who has a role in 'maintaining' the supposed "balance" of the Digital World, along with {Holding up Another Drawing} "Homeostasis", that 'being' who keeps trying to possess Hikari-chan! Repeat!Miyako, ADDING: "Homeostasis" also realized "Yggdrasil" was extremely evil and is trying to fight Yggdrasil for control to 'maintain' the "balance", but that makes "Homeostasis" something like our 'enemy' now too, regardless of its original "intentions" being 'good' or not! Repeat!Daisuke: THATS SO SIMPLE THEN!!! REPEAT!DAISUKE, FIRED UP: DEFEAT YGGDRASIL!!!!! Ken, to Inter-national O.C. Chosen Shane: Tell me {"US"} what else you saw. {In, the "Digital" Void} Shane: ... Ken: Like those "landmarks" you mentioned. S h a n e: ... Shane, Deep sighing: ...Fine. Shane: I could only "float" ("get pulled") through, so I wasn't going along *completely* by my own will. But at the same time, once the "landmark" came into view... I WANTED to Know what it was about. Because there might have been "hints" in that place as to "what was happening to me". Ken, nodding: (Go on...) Shane, grunting a bit in frustration when remembering 'that': ... So I got "pulled" closer to the landmark, and my partner... well, "they" usually follow along with me. (I'm not sure if I should tell "this person" that my partner has *control*...) (*Doesn't*) So I had a small "idea" it was an actual landmark, I just had no idea what I'd find there. Shane, recounting further: So I entered from the digital "stream" above, but suddenly... I landed. Ken, echoing: You "landed". Shane, NODDING: There was something similar to "gravity" there, except there *wasn't*. Ken, Wheels turning in Mind: ... So, how did you "land"? Shane: I'm not completely sure... but once I "explored" further, I realized the "digital space" surrounding "that" place may have been "warped". Shane: I saw something that looked like "Mt. Fuji" but then thought, "that can't POSSIBLY be Mt. Fuji??" KEN: ... (Oh no...) Shane: But it looked *scary similar* in silhouette. So I "landed" at random, and then (stumbled around) *walked* around, looking for any "clue" - if there even *were* any. And then, I found a "hidden place" that looked like it once had PEOPLE there... KEN: Shane: - But there *wasn't* any people around - but there WAS "tech" - "DIGITAL" related "tech" from OUR world. Ken: (That's the "scrap data"... that's 'normal'...) Shane: I had seen similar before, too, but this kind... it was once FUNCTIONAL. KEN: (... Oh no.) Shane: Over half of this "area" was already in ruins. There was shattered glass in one area of the ground... And the place itself looked like it had been "abandoned". But I went up to one of the strange "technological"-like "capsules" - that looked large enough to *hold a human*. Ken: (Oh NO.) Shane: The majority of these "tech" pieces still had their 'lids' on, but some clearly had pieces that broke off over time, because that glass was on the ground too. The one I went up to, though - it had a Digital panel ON it. And because I know a "little bit" (a LOT) about coding, I could ACCESS IT. Ken: What did you find?? Shane: It looked like the panel had BEEN accessed once before... AND, whoever accessed it, LET OUT whatever was inside. As if "whoever" was in there was once "held" or "contained" in there. Or... Ken: ... "Trapped?" Shane: Yeah. The glass was *heaviest* around a capsule *across* from the one I accessed too, like it had *mostly* shattered from *that* specific "capsule". And there were *exactly SEVEN others like the one I accessed*... KEN: ... 8 in total. SHANE: ... Yeah. KEN: ... ("Eight Chosen Children") SHANE: Except ONE of them had that extra glass near it. But it TOO was in an "open" state... KEN: SHANE: So I checked *that one's* panel... and that was when I also realized the glass was removed from the INSIDE. KEN: ... (Whoever inside was trying to "escape".) Shane: So I checked the panel's logs to see if I could figure out at all what had been happened there. It had big "ERROR" recordings all over - like the capsule's functioning was interrupted from the moment the damage began, even if it had been trying to keep the "subject" contained a little longer. Shane: So ... I reasoned, the one inside "this" capsule must have "let out" or "rescued" the ones inside all seven of *the rest*. *Whoever* it was... they *had knowledge* OF coding AND "hacking" to be able to access these panels. KEN: (... It's not unusual for some "Digital" beings, but when you add in "Eight Chosen" relevancy...) SHANE: ... And. The whole place was about ready to self destruct. Or. You know. Explode KEN:

Commentary:

The original did not have a P.V. for this one; This A.M.V. was made based purely on feeling from the original as the song was rarely covered in the originating series' canon, though it clearly still had some relevance there too (namely, to the earlier part of that series' canon, but also extending throughout the rest).

It's a bit of "dark" song but has a really cool (rock) sound; (However, take caution if you watch!) Despite this, there's a layer of 'deeper' meaning connecting to originating characters from the series this one is from, as well.

The original P.O.V. is through a character relevant to the main villain of the originating series that inspired this take; however; this character might not be fully aware of own actions.

("Gennai" appears a bit in this one...)

{There are spoilers for mainly the initial 1st Tri trailers + Saikai opening in this; including a dialogue made at the start of "Saikai"; however, this was made a year+ or so back. Kizuna does not show A LOT 'yet'., however there is a semi-major spoiler as the precursor to the final battle involving "what happened to the {missing} Chosen Children".} (If I include more of it or not depends on if my editor lets me finish making this A.M.V. without it crashing.)

"Panzermast" is a radio broadcast system used for disaster prevention that looks like megaphones on top of a pole.

The song is well-known since, in many places, (notably Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture; one video also shows it play in Akihabara) it is played over loudspeakers every day at sunset / 5 PM, as it’s also used to play a song called “Yuuyake, Koyake” as a signal for children (+students) to return home before it gets dark.

Notes: - it’s not quite a Bad End but it’s not exactly the best outcome either - I originally got ideas from the initial previews for Bokura no Mirai - obviously none of those happened - if it’s not obvious enough, Koushiro is basically writing a quick program to warp and Rewrite the Digital Worlds’ coding. He moves so fast/swiftly because he’s already been through numerous timelines by this point, and is either a) subconsciously aware or b) not subconsciously, but hyper-aware {depending on which ‘verse/spinoff scenarios this scene Repeats within} - thus yeah these are psuedo-deaths [non permanent]; they don’t literally die {at least Koushiro himself definitely doesn’t in this scene} - look I’m sorry but if Koushiro fell from such a height, at such a speed, into the kind of place like Taichi fell into {it’s uh kind of replaced with maybe a certain Dark Cave here except 02-style; see: Chapter 11, City}, he’d be banged up too - Koushiro may be skilled by this point but he can’t stop everything - Koushiros’ true aim is to solve the {alternative/timeline splits?} mystery that they’ve possibly got thrown into, so he has a ways to go still; along the way, he’s coming to terms mentally with his own situation while bearing the weight of it all - this bit attempts to explain the canonical timeline gap between Spring 2003 [02 drama CD] ~ April 2005 [Tri start; Saikai] - I really miss my old website / 02 fic and really just want to write Daisuke {02 fav} helping Koushiro during a high stakes moment and them both acknowledging each other[s’/strengths] in turn - I meant to post this a long time ago but {well} Yup

You fought together with the Digimon Kaiser-- rather, Ichijouji Ken. However, during the last battle, you and Millenniumon were blown away in an explosion. You to the world of the past, him to the world of the future. It's said that Millenniumon already dominates the world of the future. - originally I was having trouble filling in some of the instrumental portions and basically debated leaving in the original scenes from the Kagepros version, I decided against this in the end and threw in whichever filler I could find that worked, later on, I plan to go back and time things better / possibly use some different scenes to smooth less impressive parts out!

- Koushiro originally only appeared a few times: 1) on the computer screen during "Input", 2) " a boy who hates lies ", 3) and towards the end, when Taichi confesses in ep48 - I ended up throwing in a bit more Koushiro filler to smooth it out / emphasize the Taishiro, but for once he wasn't there as much originally!

- re: a " girl " " who hates the / disappearing night " showing Taichi; this was also a part I had slight trouble with / contemplated different things for. In the original, the Kagepros boy actually has A CANONICAL FEMALE FORM who shows around this point. ( the blonde )

Taichi does ... NOT... have a canonical female form. So, I contemplated throwing in an alternative anime character that fits my view of a Female!Taichi, ( basically: if you took ponytail!Haruhi Suzumiya, that'd be Fem!Taichi. High ponytail, dark brown hair, sassy look, etc., that’d be it. )

May also relate to a portion of a certain Tri interview in which Taichi was canonically referred to by the Tri staff as, " THE HEROINE " ... but they also kind of didn't make that great a reference to it, so this is kind of my way of making a slight "dig" back at them for that. At the same time, I greatly appreciate Tri and the Tri staff, and know they probably didn't mean it that poorly. Don't take this "dig" too seriously, please. - MY BLOG IS TRI SUPPORTIVE. Digimon Adventure(s) REPEATverse: an introduction

Koushiro Izumi, in a distant FUTURE TIMELINE (but pre-02 Epilogue), during a "final battle", witnesses Taichi Yagami about ready to face his death, as well as the deaths of the rest of the Chosen Children - - including that of Koushiro Izumi himself.                              ( After all, if TAICHI CANNOT WIN ... ) In a last-ditch effort to save EVERYONE and everything, Koushiro CODES and sets in motion an endless " Reboot ", to constantly loop and " REPEAT " the timeline - or timelines. This is in the hopes that one day, they can figure out where they went wrong, stop the enemy, and finally save the day - the worlds - and everyone.

Unfortunately, despite this best effort of Koushiro's, this endless Reboot sends " YGGDRASIL " INTO MADNESS . "Yggdrasil" begins to execute more and more violent attacks against the Chosen Children with each "Reboot" / "REPEAT" in the hopes of wiping them out and "removing" the Chosen, especially one Koushiro Izumi, for good, and destroying all worlds that exist. " HOMEOSTASIS " becomes involved when they begin to target the Chosen - and one Koushiro Izumi, especially - for similar means, in an aim to wipe them out and "remove" them as well, and also, in an attempt to regain the Digital World's balance and stop Yggdrasil while they're at it. However, EVEN HOMEOSTASIS, SOON BEGINS TO DELVE INTO MADNESS ...

The series of events sets off a major chain reaction. Almost all, if not ALL, of the Chosen Childrens' former villains begin to become aware of the worlds' and Koushiro's plights, as well. After all, when you have a massive telescope where you can spy directly on the Chosen from afar ala Piemon, how could they NOT become aware when the Chosen (and especially, one Koushiro Izumi, and ALSO, one Taichi Yagami) begin acting strangely of their own accord? Some of the former villains begin attempts to use the situation to their specific advantages, while ignoring the wider plight - for example, Etemon may simply want to gain the revenge he wants for Taichi defeating him " that time ", even if it means Etemon giving up his mind in order to do so. MUGENDRAMON [“Machinedramon”] ESPECIALLY has his own goals that may or may not involve a certain OTHER TIME-HOPPING                                                " RYO AKIYAMA " as well as attempting to UTTERLY DESTROY A CERTAIN KOUSHIRO IZUMI WHILE HE’S AT IT. Some of the former villains and the Dark Masters even begin fighting against each other - and yet more of them, particularly Piemon, may be becoming more and more aware of the timelines - and which CHOSEN REMEMBER those timelines - as time goes on.

Moreover, every time Koushiro must "REPEAT" a timeline, the pressure begins to build further and further until it's near mind-breaking levels. Not only does he have to deal with SAVING MULTIPLE WORLDS AND UNIVERSES, and coming up with plans to defeat all of these enemies ON HIS OWN, without telling any of the others lest they figure out what's really going on with him, - but he ALSO has to relive his personal storyline and issues, over and over and over and over again, for endless timelines on end. And considering Koushiro Izumi also was someone who started out feeling like " even if he wasn't around , THE WORLD would STILL GO ON ", WELL ....

The pressure buildup becomes too much -

--- and Koushiro Izumi, via the Digital Worlds' coding and his own skills, wipes his own memory as well as those of everyone elses'. ESPECIALLY those of TAICHI YAGAMI’S. {...and, even voluntarily on Taichi’s part, As Well}

... but along the way ---

--- Koushiro Izumi, in his endless thirst for KNOWLEDGE ..and wanting to know exactly what is going on here,

... soon starts to REGAIN those memories, in numerous other timelines.

How much does KOUSHIRO remember ? How much does TAICHI YAGAMI begin to remember ? What will Taichi Yagami himself CHOOSE to do ?

How much do THE VILLAINS, K N O W?

How far along the “original timeline” do the timelines actually get to progress before thing begin to collapse, yet again ?

And can anything REALLY be done to stop the worlds and the Chosen Children from becoming closer and closer to being utterly and completely destroyed ?

... and will KOUSHIRO - and, TAICHI - be able to yet again handle the immense pressures ?
