Taikouvember 2024 - Rules & FAQ

Even though most of the general rules for the week were already written down in the Event Announcement Post, we would still like to specify some of our Do’s and Don’t’s to make sure Taikouvember will turn out amazingly for everyone involved!

Do's & Recommendations

The event goes from November 4th to November 10th. There are prompts for every single day - this time, they refer to the Crests of the other Chosen Children.

Interpret the prompts as you like, you can find some helpful tips in our Prompt Guideline. You may submit as many entries for each prompt as you like.

If this year's prompts are not to your liking, feel free to use the prompts used for the 2022 and 2023 events as well.

Every kind of entry will be allowed: Fanfiction, Drabbles, Poems, Fanart, Comics, Sketches, Doodles, Music, Playlists, Music Videos, Picture Sets, Edits, Gifsets, Meta, etc.

You can of course decide which series or medium you want to focus on: Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, all corresponding movies, Digimon Adventure Tri, Digimon Adventure Last Evolution: Kizuna, Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning, Digimon Adventure: The 2020 Reboot, games, manhuas, audio dramas, novels, the stageplay, etc.

You are free to choose how to interpret the relationship of Taikou - whether that's romantic or platonic is completely up to you!

Other canon characters are allowed to be included, as long as the entries contain the original ship Taikou, the original characters, Taichi Yagami and Koushiro Izumi, and/or in extension, their partners, Agumon and Tentomon. You can also include multi-/polyships, OT3s, OT4s, etc. as long as they contain Taikou.

Crossovers, Alternate Universes (AUs) or Own Characters (OCs) are allowed, as long as the entries contain the original ship.

When posting your entries, please make sure to @ us directly as @taikouvember in the entry post or use the following tags: #taikouvember2024, #taikouvember 2024, #taikouvember. You can also submit your posts directly to our blog.

I wondering if you have any polyship/crackships for Joker from Batman, Bluebird Azurite from SU, Jessie & James from the Pokemon Anime, Melony and Piers from Pokemon Sword/Shield, Cynthia from Pokemon DPPT, Sabrina from Pokemon RBY and Koushiro "Izzy" Izumi from Digimon Adventure.

Joker is so hard because honestly my favorite ship is him and his wife from that one backstory where he was a failing standup comedian and things went wrong. I feel like you can just do whatever with Joker so I'm saying his wife. I love fluffy Harley and Joker but things never stay fluffy....😑

Bluebird Azurite needs Navy Ruby, she's the mastermind they need to be truly evil. Navy and Aquamarine is still a fav ship of mine and this polycule is perfect. Eyeball, Aquamarine and Navy together could take over the world. Boss ass bitch squad.

Jessie and James I thought of Lucy, though she's technically a good guy she is a strong willed woman that will watch and wait, also snake fan. Her level headed nature with a silent fire is a good balance to the passions but rarely well thought out nature of the other two. Gee James how come you get two femdoms

For Melony I don't have a romantic/sexual ship for her but I think a great friendship would be her and Pheobe. Both are rather "contrary" to what you expect for being users of their types Melony is warm and has mom energy but ice is considered an aloof type. Phoebe is friendly and energetic but ghost is considered chaotic and depressing. Depending on Phoebes age Melony might mother her. But both are affectionate and would spoil each other's pokemon. Good vibes here.

Piers x Raihan x Leon, Leon and Piers got that older sibling dynamic they probably had to help raise their Lil sibs and can bond over that. Leon and Raihan got that good vibes, it's a common ship and the energy of Leon and Raihan is good for Piers. The ship is called 'fashiondisastershipping' and yeah that checks out.

Cynthia and Elesa feel like they'd have a nice relationship. In masters ex Elesa comes off as a woman that looks 'stuck up' but is a big ol softy inside, fashion is how she is creative and she's all smiles when you get her talking. I don't have Cynthia in the game but that's basically how I see her. Especially since she gives the player a togepi egg a pokemon that is highly associated with friendship. Cynthia is fashionable imo, she's fashionable in that all black palette way. A good third would be Olivia, fashionable with a hard outside and soft sweet inside.

Sabrina and Morty are just my pet ship. I'm cheating a little but stick with me. They both are psychic actually, in the games both mention seeing the future. Morty uses his training to hone his psychic skills and Sabrina is connected to her pokemon psychically. They could relate to each other over the frustrations of having incomplete visions and the risk of living in the future and not the present.

And the fact that Haunter was what made Sabrina laugh in the anime was so cute and iirc anime morty could understand what his pokemon were saying, and Sabrina still has her connection to her pokemon, they both cultivate a deeper understanding than what the average trainer can achieve with their pokemon.

They are going to be slightly out of step with the people around them, so why can't they walk together?

Izzy x Mimi is probably my favorite ship for Izzy. Nerd x fashionesta, mimi would make him get away from his tech more often and Izzy would show her really niche topics that would get her curious and excited. A bit of a opposite attract in just the best ways.

Probably Royalshipping aka Alexis + Zane from Yugioh GX. They were so good in Season 1 and then the show just forgot they were ever friends >.>

(but also waaaaaay before I understood what shipping was, kid!me was very mad at Digimon Adventure 02 for sinking Tai/Sora and TK/Kari so those otps probably came first XD)

3. Do you have any OT3/OT+ ships? What are your favorites?

I don't think I have a romantic polyships but in general I love a true companions trio like the Three Tumors in tgcf, and also a painfully tragic trio like 3zun

8. Who is the most shippable person you can think of?

Atsushi from Boueibu. He pairs very well with a good chunk of the cast!

(meanwhile frmo mdzs, I think lxc is this for me XD)

11. What makes a great ship in your own opinion?

Mutual trust born from a shared history! (or at least the shared history part... sometimes the trust part is a little hard to achieve depending on the story xD)

I think a lot of the ships I get drawn to usually involve characters who already have an established camaraderie when we meet them in the story. There's just something about that familiarity <3

Have any digimon polyships?

(I’m so sorry it took me forever to answer this omg)

I have three polyships, mostly!

Miyako/Ken/Daisuke, because Ken being showered in love by his two best friends is like MY JAM. Daiken has been my #1 digimon otp since I was a child and growing up I came to enjoy the addition of Miyako as well. Now I really love this poly ship.

Taichi/Sora/Yamato, which is actually a recent ship of mine. I know everyone was either into sorato or taiora, but I never cared much for either. I know taito is also a popular ship from ages ago but surprisingly, I never much cared for them either. When tri happened, the love triangle among them turned me off a lot. I guess I kinda tried to fix that with my headcanon that they’re all in a nice, loving, healthy poly relationship and the idea kinda stuck. I’m still not very fond of the individual ships, but as a poly ship, I quite enjoy this.

Mimi/Miyako/Sora, I mean, well duh Mimi/Sora is like OTP already and then Miyako had that lesbian ray vision with Mimi

Plus you can easily add Meiko to this and make it four adorable girls because why the fuck not 👌
