more on regina george — i headcanon she has chronic pain from being hit by a bus.

she gets back pain and frequent headaches accompanied by light sensitivity because her injuries, realistically, would have been much worse than portrayed in the show!

she would have had traumatic brain injury/concussion, spinal and rib fractures, a broken jaw and possibly broken limbs from being hit by a bus at 20-30mph, which is why she could have almost died because of how extensive her injuries were, rather than it being that she could have died from being hit by a bus.

she’s not at school for weeks much less on her phone or social media and spends most of her time sleeping or too drugged out to think, and even after she returns home she avoids social media like hell because she does not want to know what people are saying about her. she thinks she’s disgusting because she’s gained 15 pounds from the kalteen bar situation, hasn’t done her makeup or hair in weeks, can’t even shower on her own and might aswell be in a full body cast

after the initial recovery is over and she starts having new, chronic symptoms, the lack of control she suddenly has over her own body is terrifying. collapsing when she stands, not being able to walk without being in pain, it’s such a difficult situation that forces her to reprioritize and realize what’s important in her life and that’s even scarier because it isn’t her choice and there’s no way to stop it or take it slow — she goes from rehabilitating well and being expected to stop using the wheelchair in hospital, to ending up basically bedbound and needing a custom wheelchair and crutches to ambulate.

it takes her a long time to find herself again and become confident and start to be okay with a body that feels like is completely against her all the time, but when she does, regina is more sure of herself than ever and she no longer needs to bring other people down or control them in order to feel better about herself.

Actress for Genderswapped Steve Harrington?

I’ve always had multiple headcanons of who I think would play Steve Harrington in a gender swapped Stranger Things. I think Emmy Rossum could be a fantastic choice. Not only did she prove on Shameless that she’s a hot badass, but she’s really good at giving off older sister/mamma bear energy. I also think Renée Rapp could be amazing. so whenever steve talks about something his dad did, like cheat on his mom with the secretary once again, she knows steve needs someone else to help him make light of the situation a bit. he does have times where he needs her to be serious, to catch him when everything comes crashing down, but she knows the signs of that.

most of the time, he just wants to rant about it in a lighthearted way though. so robin's go-to responses to steve telling her about what happened between his parents, only shared with him over short phone calls or during a bit longer visits by his mom (she doesn't want to leave richard alone for too long, god knows what he would get up to again, steve told robin very early on), include "oh poor cassandra. you know, i would never treat her like that.", "i don't get why richard isn't putting in more effort when he's married to such a milf.", "i'm calling it, when they finally get divorced, i'm gonna make my move. say hello to your future step mom, stevie."

it never fails to get steve into a bit of a better mood. he knows his parents relationship is in shambles, actually wishes that his mom would finally divorce his dad. they've been stuck in this limbo for so long, steve's just trying to finally reach the end of it, and joking around with robin helps him manage the feelings of anger and hurt that boil up inside him whenever his mom once again picks his dad over steve.

he knows she's just trying to keep the peace, but he can't help but think of his dad as the one that's not only ruining his mom's, but also steve's life.

when eddie enters the picture, he's confused when robin brings out the cassandra jokes, he thinks she‘s making fun of steve who‘s obviously hurting. he calls her out on it, and she tries to explain it to him.

it kind of backfires, because eddie‘s like „okay so. i just tell you how fuckable your dad is to make you feel better?“

and robin and steve burst out laughing because that is precisely not what steve wants to hear, but he’s not wrong, that’s exactly what robin was doing with steve‘s mom. at least this one time eddie succeeded in making steve cheer up with this method, but he quickly figures out that all steve really needs when he‘s down is eddie or robin‘s presence.
