it's an old minecraft rp series that starts off as like, your classic 'i found herobrine!!! (REAL)' type thing, but then shifts to be fully in-game with little to no reference to it Being a game. theres npcs with dialogue, and i mean like fully npcs, theres no other players involved as far as I know
The main focus of the story is these two dipshits brothers accidentally unearth a demon and it immediately causes mass chaos. It's pretty high-fantasy lorewise, with elves and dwarves and such. Prophecies. Ghosts. yknow
actually getting into why im still kind of insane abt it would require spoiling. basically everything lmao. but a large part of it is there's some secondary characters I find really compelling, and the relation the brothers have to the world itself is surprisingly complicated. it DOES feature some very heavy 'good vs evil, black & white' type themes, but taking that apart is something I find fun to do, and it fits pretty naturally into the story itself (although I suspect that was on accident)
Fair warning though, the finale is. Bad. It's so bad that it made me rewrite the entire ending. Like, its kind of insulting how bad it tanks itself at the very last second. I admire the dedication to finishing it even after literal years of delay, but it also means I can't recommend the series in good faith without adding a disclaimer like this, so

liking local bands is great until your sister fucks the lead singer of one of your favourite bands and then he moves across the country and then posts videos of him singing country on instagram and she gets the ick and ghosts him and now he's back in town and is playing a show with two of your other favourite bands and your sister refuses to go and you only ever go to concerts with your sister and have no one else to go to the show with and are too anxious to go alone

#across the road neighbour drove her car straight through he closed garage doors#she's about 80 years old and this is her 3rd car accident this year#back in january she backed into my stepdads work van and that was a whole kerfuffle as well#she was fully trapped inside of the car so we had to get fire service ambulance and police out#the other neighbours came out en masse and a group of strong-ish men put themselves to work to remove her fucked up garage doors#and managed to roll the car back out just as 2 fire engines pulled up#she was completely fine btw#but she's probably having her license taken away#dogbunni diary log#ive never even met half of these neighbours that i talked to today#they all came out of nowhere walking their dogs or 'getting something from their car'#palaver

Another thing is that a big reason people weren’t pirating along with it being more convenient is because we had a “The creators only get paid when we watch legally” on streaming services. But like now we know that creators get paid like almost nothing for streaming they really just get paid for making the project. So that gets rid of another reason for people to not pirate. EDIT: i removed the “trump refused to swear on the bible” point because it was being taken as me being an offended christian. i’m not christian, im agnostic. the reason i included it in the first place is because he’s the first president in history to ever refuse to swear on ANYTHING. meanwhile his “conservative christian” followers had no issue with this, and decided to continue to scramble for excuses instead of admitting he may not be as religious as he claims he is. i figured taking that point out entirely is probably better than filling this with an explanation in the middle of the other important issues.
