a/n. second time writing from bkg's perspective. this was so fun! (1.1k)
the moment that cemented bakugouâs resolve to marry you wasnât exactly grand.
it wasnât your first kiss.
or the first time you made love to each other.
not even the first time you met his nerd-ass friends or his (slightly) overbearing parents. although those two come as close runner-ups.
no, it was rather a random saturday morning after you spent a night at his place, now clad in what he thinks is nothing but your intimates and a burnt orange t-shirt of his that drapes loosely over your frame.
and as he enters the kitchen and closes the distance between the two of you with a few strides, he canât help but wonder what youâre doingâdeeply focused on your laptopâwhen youâre probably the one whoâs extra pedantic about not bringing work home.
âmorning,â he grunts, leaning down to kiss your cheek, which you happily accept. although, to his chagrin, your eyes remain on your computer screen, not even sparing him a single glance.
he knows itâs fucking embarrassing, how strongly you elicit feelings within him without you even fucking trying, but he canât stop the frown that takes over his face even if he attempted to fight it.
shaking off the irrational disappointment from not even being ignored, he rounds the kitchen island and starts brewing the two of you coffee.
âby the way,â he starts, glancing at you over his shoulder, âthe old hagâs birthday is coming up. she wants to have dinner with just the four of us, or some shit.â
âi know,â you simply pipe up from where youâre seated on one of his fancy bar stools, gaze still glued on whatever the fuck it is thatâs keeping your attention from him.
he turns to you, a manual coffee grinder in tow. âyou do?â
at that, you finally look up at him, an innocent expression etched across your features. âyou donât remember? i asked you when your parentsâ birthdays were way back in march.â
way back in march.
back when you unanimously decided to decisively end the dating phase and become boyfriend-girlfriend.
âyeah?â is the only thing he manages to get out.
you let out a soft laugh thatâs nothing but music to his ears. âyeah, dummy.â
before you can get to see the red thatâs most definitely creeping up to his cheeks, bakugou turns his back against you, returning to busying himself with crushing the beans into fine powder and pouring lukewarm water into the machine.
only a few months before reaching a full year together, and you still manage to make him fucking blush.
over the most mundane things, too.
when he first got into his very first relationship with you at the ripe age of 28, he thought heâd outgrown and was way past the embarrassing shit that the human body was capable of when dealing with anything remotely close to romance.
it didnât take him long enough into your relationship to find out he was so, so wrong.
sighing, he pours out the cup of ground beans onto the filter, finally pressing the button and bringing the coffee maker to life.
you must be done with whatâs highly likely is work by now.
but chancing a glance at you, heâs once again met with palpable disappointment when the very same sight greets him.
before he can rein them in, the words come tumbling out of his lips.
âthe fuck is so important on that laptop?â
his booming voice mustâve caught you off guard, because you startle ever so minutely in your seat.
âsorry,â he quickly adds on, albeit through a mutter; frustration with himself and his inability to modulate his voice added to the increasingly long list of emotions heâs having to fucking deal with right now.
waving him off, you shoot him another one of that disarming smile of yours. ââs funny that you ask. i was just about to ask you for your opinion.â
with that, you gesture him to come close with your fingers. curious, he once again rounds the island, ultimately occupying the spot to your right and leaning down to peer at the small text on your screen.
before he can even get a word in, you hurriedly explain yourself. âmitsuki-san mentioned her personal sewing machine broke, so iâve been thinking about getting her a new one.â
you point to a sleek, off-white model among what looks to be a vast array of selections, âi researched the specs and i think this oneâs the best. what do you think?â
a million things course through his mind in an instant, but what he ends up sputtering out is: âyouâre such a fucking nerd, you know that?â
at that, you look up at him, your seemingly perpetually moisturized lips now formed into a playful pout, and it takes everything in him not to just pull you in for a kiss and completely abandon the conversation in its entirety.
but heâd like to think he at least has the slightest bit of self-control.
even if you do wear him the fuck out on a daily basis.
âi just want to make sure itâs perfect!â you argue, shifting to stare at your laptop again and bringing him back to the present. your voice is way smaller when you continue. ââŚi want her to like me.â
he doesnât even miss a beat. âshe already fucking does, dumbass.â
and she really does.
the morning after bakugou first brought you to meet his parents a whopping two months into calling it official, mitsuki texted him something along the lines of having the family heirloom slash ring already adjusted to fit your finger.
he immediately called the old hag after receiving the message just to reprimand her ear off for being too fucking forward and for meddling too much.
but, if he were to be completely honest with himself, he was angry not because mitsuki was imposing, but because he couldnât believe his mother beat him to that important realization.
the realization that maybe, just maybe, youâre the one.
and now, as he studies you as you scroll through more and more iterations of the best sewing machines on the market with your eyebrows adorably furrowed in utmost concentration, it dawns on him.
it dawns on him that that maybe just turned into a definitely.

Tech Breakdown: What Is a SuperNIC? Get the Inside Scoop!
The most recent development in the rapidly evolving digital realm is generative AI. A relatively new phrase, SuperNIC, is one of the revolutionary inventions that makes it feasible.
Describe a SuperNIC
On order to accelerate hyperscale AI workloads on Ethernet-based clouds, a new family of network accelerators called SuperNIC was created. With remote direct memory access (RDMA) over converged Ethernet (RoCE) technology, it offers extremely rapid network connectivity for GPU-to-GPU communication, with throughputs of up to 400Gb/s.
SuperNICs incorporate the following special qualities:
Ensuring that data packets are received and processed in the same sequence as they were originally delivered through high-speed packet reordering. This keeps the data flowâs sequential integrity intact.
In order to regulate and prevent congestion in AI networks, advanced congestion management uses network-aware algorithms and real-time telemetry data.
In AI cloud data centers, programmable computation on the input/output (I/O) channel facilitates network architecture adaptation and extension.
Low-profile, power-efficient architecture that effectively handles AI workloads under power-constrained budgets.
Optimization for full-stack AI, encompassing system software, communication libraries, application frameworks, networking, computing, and storage.
Recently, NVIDIA revealed the first SuperNIC in the world designed specifically for AI computing, built on the BlueField-3 networking architecture. It is a component of the NVIDIA Spectrum-X platform, which allows for smooth integration with the Ethernet switch system Spectrum-4.
The NVIDIA Spectrum-4 switch system and BlueField-3 SuperNIC work together to provide an accelerated computing fabric that is optimized for AI applications. Spectrum-X outperforms conventional Ethernet settings by continuously delivering high levels of network efficiency.
Yael Shenhav, vice president of DPU and NIC products at NVIDIA, stated, âIn a world where AI is driving the next wave of technological innovation, the BlueField-3 SuperNIC is a vital cog in the machinery.â âSuperNICs are essential components for enabling the future of AI computing because they guarantee that your AI workloads are executed with efficiency and speed.â
The Changing Environment of Networking and AI
Large language models and generative AI are causing a seismic change in the area of artificial intelligence. These potent technologies have opened up new avenues and made it possible for computers to perform new functions.
GPU-accelerated computing plays a critical role in the development of AI by processing massive amounts of data, training huge AI models, and enabling real-time inference. While this increased computing capacity has created opportunities, Ethernet cloud networks have also been put to the test.
The internetâs foundational technology, traditional Ethernet, was designed to link loosely connected applications and provide wide compatibility. The complex computational requirements of contemporary AI workloads, which include quickly transferring large amounts of data, closely linked parallel processing, and unusual communication patterns all of which call for optimal network connectivity were not intended for it.
Basic network interface cards (NICs) were created with interoperability, universal data transfer, and general-purpose computing in mind. They were never intended to handle the special difficulties brought on by the high processing demands of AI applications.
The necessary characteristics and capabilities for effective data transmission, low latency, and the predictable performance required for AI activities are absent from standard NICs. In contrast, SuperNICs are designed specifically for contemporary AI workloads.
Benefits of SuperNICs in AI Computing Environments
Data processing units (DPUs) are capable of high throughput, low latency network connectivity, and many other sophisticated characteristics. DPUs have become more and more common in the field of cloud computing since its launch in 2020, mostly because of their ability to separate, speed up, and offload computation from data center hardware.
SuperNICs and DPUs both have many characteristics and functions in common, however SuperNICs are specially designed to speed up networks for artificial intelligence.
The performance of distributed AI training and inference communication flows is highly dependent on the availability of network capacity. Known for their elegant designs, SuperNICs scale better than DPUs and may provide an astounding 400Gb/s of network bandwidth per GPU.
When GPUs and SuperNICs are matched 1:1 in a system, AI workload efficiency may be greatly increased, resulting in higher productivity and better business outcomes.
SuperNICs are only intended to speed up networking for cloud computing with artificial intelligence. As a result, it uses less processing power than a DPU, which needs a lot of processing power to offload programs from a host CPU.
Less power usage results from the decreased computation needs, which is especially important in systems with up to eight SuperNICs.
One of the SuperNICâs other unique selling points is its specialized AI networking capabilities. It provides optimal congestion control, adaptive routing, and out-of-order packet handling when tightly connected with an AI-optimized NVIDIA Spectrum-4 switch. Ethernet AI cloud settings are accelerated by these cutting-edge technologies.
Transforming cloud computing with AI
The NVIDIA BlueField-3 SuperNIC is essential for AI-ready infrastructure because of its many advantages.
Maximum efficiency for AI workloads:Â The BlueField-3 SuperNIC is perfect for AI workloads since it was designed specifically for network-intensive, massively parallel computing. It guarantees bottleneck-free, efficient operation of AI activities.
Performance that is consistent and predictable:Â The BlueField-3 SuperNIC makes sure that each job and tenant in multi-tenant data centers, where many jobs are executed concurrently, is isolated, predictable, and unaffected by other network operations.
Secure multi-tenant cloud infrastructure:Â Data centers that handle sensitive data place a high premium on security. High security levels are maintained by the BlueField-3 SuperNIC, allowing different tenants to cohabit with separate data and processing.
Broad network infrastructure:Â The BlueField-3 SuperNIC is very versatile and can be easily adjusted to meet a wide range of different network infrastructure requirements.
Wide compatibility with server manufacturers:Â The BlueField-3 SuperNIC integrates easily with the majority of enterprise-class servers without using an excessive amount of power in data centers.

For those who are not aware: Bitlocker is encryption software, it encrypts your computer and makes it impossible to access the information on the computer unless you have the key.
It should be standard practice for IT companies to document the bitlocker keys as they are configuring bitlocker on a computer; generally you would do this by creating a record in your client management software for that specific device and putting the key in the record. Sometimes software can be used to extract that information in the event that it's necessary, but even if there's theoretically a way to extract the key, it should be documented somewhere *other* than on the encrypted computer.
This is something that a lot of IT people fuck up on kind of a lot (we've definitely had problems with missing bitlocker keys and I'm quite happy that the people who didn't document those keys aren't my coworkers anymore).
So what do you do if you want to use encryption software and you're NOT an IT company using a remote management tool that might be able to snag the keys?
When you are setting up encryption, put the encryption key in your password manager. Put it in your password manager. Document the important information that you cannot lose in your password manager. Your password manager is a good place to keep important things like your device encryption key, which you do not want lost or stolen. (If you run your password manager locally on an encrypted computer, export the data every once in a while, save it as an encrypted file, and put the file on your backup drive; you are going to have a bad time if your computer that hosts the only copies of your passwords shits the bed so *make a backup*)
This is my tip for home users for any kind of important recovery codes or software product keys: Print out the key and put it in your underwear drawer. Keep it there with your backup drive. That way you've got your important (small) computer shit in one place that is NOT your computer and is not likely to get shifted around and lost (the way that papers in desks often get shifted around and lost).

"you, specifically, are a bad and evil person that all my posts are written to condemn" this is not what i said. i'm sorry for not being clearer. i just feel like everyone in this space, not just you, look down on people who live in the first world as people who willingly don't change anything about how the world works when it's just not that simple. i know you all love to combat this and say otherwise but it will never change the simple reality that for some people it really is very hard, if not impossible, to do anything politically, for a variety of reasons. i'm disabled, i live in a remote part of the country, and i'm bad at talking to people. i don't have the money to just move to a population center or get lessons on how to speak to people. i can't do anything and i feel like every time you or one of the other communists on tumblr talks about the imperial core, i feel like i, personally, am being held to an unreasonable standard that i would not hold anyone else to, if i were in one of your situations. obviously i want things to change. i don't want genocide to be a thing that's constantly happening, i don't want my country to have its tendrils dug into every other country, i want socialism and eventually global communism, and if i could do anything meaningful-- anything at all-- to achieve those goals i would be working on that. but right now that just is not the case for me, and i feel like i'm not alone in that either. i just wish you had like a smidgen of empathy for some of the people living here who don't fit into your stereotype of what a member of the imperial core looks like-- i'm not even trying to say that sarcastically, it genuinely feels like you all don't see us as human. like nyanguard especially seems to think of us as incapable of saving ourselves, and one of the reblogs to my first ask just said they "like to imagine that (i'm) crying as i type this". how am i supposed to react to that? is this how all of you feel about people like me? would your feelings about me change if i lived in another country, or would you find some other excuse to talk down to me? is it really just the country i live in that's the problem, here? i'm not trying to accuse you, i'm asking this question genuinely.
i know it's tempting to respond to this with a snarky comment but please just try to understand where i am coming from. i really am willing to help if i can.
i don't think any marxist seriously has a political theory of imperialism that amounts to "citizens of the imperial core simply choose not to do anything because they are all individually bad people". i mean the whole point of marxism is that economic relations are the ultimate drivers of historical change, not abstract psychological or moral qualities of people.
i'm sympathetic to your situation! the imperial core is a very atomizing place to live, and there are places and situations where there's just no practical path to getting organized and taking meaningful political action in the near future. however, your problem here is:
i feel like i, personally, am being held to an unreasonable standard that i would not hold anyone else to
nobody is posting about you, personally. like at the end of the day you have to learn to either not take posts like that personally or just block everyone who makes them to manage your own time on the computer vis a vis niceness--i don't think it's the responsibility of me or any other communist to constantly provide asterisks and carveouts that we're not talking about the Good Ones Who Have Extenuating Circumstances when we talk about the usa and its material political base.
& in the same way that you ask for empathy for your situation i would ask you to extend a level of understanding to people whose homelands and countrymen and communities have been devastated by US coups and sanctions and invasions, that they have as much a right to express the rage and fury and hurt of that cultural legacy as you do to express your own sadness about your own situation. imagine, for example, how you would feel if your grandparents could not reliably get medicine because of us sanctions. & of course the correct target for these feelings are not random usamericans--but these posts are also not serious politcal platforms, they are venting from people who live their lives under the weight of empire.
if you think what they're saying is unfair to you, then you need to develop the ability to say 'well, i understand why they would feel that way' and move on. like i understand why you are upset, and i don't say this to be dismissive, but as real advice: it is not fair (especially to bloggers from the global south) to essentially rest your happiness and self-worth at their feet and demand that they validate you.
genuinely, i hope this helps. it's all i really have to say on the matter.

How to Kill Microsoft's AI "Helper" Copilot WITHOUT Screwing With Your Registry!
Hey guys, so as I'm sure a lot of us are aware, Microsoft pulled some dickery recently and forced some Abominable Intelligence onto our devices in the form of its "helper" program, Copilot. Something none of us wanted or asked for but Microsoft is gonna do anyways because I'm pretty sure someone there gets off on this.
Unfortunately, Microsoft offered no ways to opt out of the little bastard or turn it off (unless you're in the EU where EU Privacy Laws force them to do so.) For those of us in the United Corporations of America, we're stuck... or are we?
Today while perusing Bluesky, one of the many Twitter-likes that appeared after Musk began burning Twitter to the ground so he could dance in the ashes, I came across this post from a gentleman called Nash:
Intrigued, I decided to give this a go, and lo and behold it worked exactly as described!
We can't remove Copilot, Microsoft made sure that was riveted and soldered into place... but we can cripple it!
Simply put, Microsoft Edge. Normally Windows will prevent you from uninstalling Edge using the Add/Remove Programs function saying that it needs Edge to operate properly (it doesn't, its lying) but Geek Uninstaller overrules that and rips the sucker out regardless of what it says!
I uninstalled Edge using it, rebooted my PC, and lo and behold Copilot was sitting in the corner with blank eyes and drool running down it's cheeks, still there but dead to the world!
Now do bear in mind this will have a little knock on effect. Widgets also rely on Edge, so those will stop functioning as well.
Before:
After:
But I can still check the news and weather using an internet browser so its a small price to pay to be rid of Microsoft's spyware-masquerading-as-a-helper Copilot.
But yes, this is the link for Geek Uninstaller:
Run it, select "Force Uninstall" For anything that says "Edge," reboot your PC, and enjoy having a copy of Windows without Microsoft's intrusive trash! :D
UPDATE: I saw this on someone's tags and I felt I should say this as I work remotely too. If you have a computer you use for work, absolutely 100% make sure you consult with your management and/or your IT team BEFORE you do this. If they say don't do it, there's likely a reason.

"got you" chris sturniolo x reader
REQUEST : anon - I would love to see more established relationship fics. Maybe one where the reader tries a prank on Chris like not saying I love you back or toning down PDA to see the reaction?
you and chris where a hands on couple. from the moment he asked you to be his girlfriend and you knew it was acceptable to do so, his hand was always in yours, and if it wasn't it was somewhere else on your body and yours his. touch was defiantly both of yours love language and there was no end of times your circle of friends would mock you both when you were together, especially because half of the time you didn't even realise you were both doing it. but chris was also a prankster. he was constantly joking around, stealing your things till you got frustrated with him, jumping out at you when you were in the bathroom, pushing you onto the sofa when you go for the remote to put on your favourite tv show. but if you were honest it was for sure one of the things you loved most about him, but somehow you never managed to get him back. all your efforts where met with a wide eye, a chuckle, and a "nice try". and if chris was to be honest, the fact you couldn't get him back was one of his favourite things about you. every time you'd let out a groan because whatever you were planning hadn't worked, he thought you were the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen.
on this particular day however, chris was on a zoom meeting for his next fresh love drop, and you were lay on his bed aimlessly scrolling on your phone, trying to keep quiet. chris had promised you after the meeting you could go get coffee and do some shopping, potentially grab some food if you were hungry, and you had been ready for the last 20 minutes. when you laugh at a text from your friend, you feel something hit the back of your head. hand coming straight up to touch where it hit as you turn around quickly, a ball of paper lands beside you. your eyes shoot to your boyfriend who gives you a mischievous grin, pulling back one side of his headphones to talk to you.
"i'll be 10 minutes, babe" he says, headphones back down and turning his chair back around to face his computer. you let out a chuckle as you grab the ball of paper to throw back at him but as if his senses can feel you, he turns to give you a look that only makes you let out a moan and an eye-roll. he never let you get him back. ever. he gives you a grin before turning back around again and you let out a sigh as you swing your legs off the side of the bed, walking over to his full length mirror to double check your outfit.
chris could see you behind him in the view of his own camera on the zoom call, and he watched you as you quickly ran your fingers through your hair and rubbed your lips together to spread your lipstick a little more, and a small smile escaped his lips. when you turn back around, he turns around too, becoming oblivious to his fresh love team who where chatting away in his headphones. you give him a look as you walk past him, tickling the back of his neck slightly with your long nails, and just as you pull away he grabs your hand. you look at him, and then back to his computer screen, and he lets go.
"i'll wait upstairs" you whisper so to not be heard by his team, and he gives you a nod. but as you walk off, a small whimper leaves his lips. you turn around to look at him, and you let out a laugh as he has his arms outstretched. you'd never left a room without giving him a kiss, and as he pouts his lips into an upset frown, you jokingly roll your eyes and walk back towards his bedroom door, turning to look at him for one last second before you give him a wink and shut the door behind you.
it takes you not even 10 second before your phone beeps in your hand.
chris <3 : that was mean x
you laugh as you put your phone in your pocket, leaving him to finish his meeting.
"what you giggling at" a voice appears, and you almost jump out of your skin as matt comes walking down the stairs. you laugh as you pass each other.
"your brother is so needy" you say, and as matt reaches the bottom of the stairs he laughs too.
"you can say that again", and then he rounds the corner and out into the garage to his car.
you laugh as you make your way to the top of the stairs, before the thought reaches your mind. you stop, thinking it over before a small smile plays on your lips.
if there was one thing that DID rile chris up, it was moments like that. when you teased him and acted like you weren't going to kiss him, when you pretended to fall asleep when he asked you to cuddle him in bed. all joking of course, you kissed him every single time and you cuddled him every single time, but imagine if you didn't? you smile to yourself, knowing its cruel but know deep down he'd see the funny side.
you walk over to the couch, picking up one of chris' jackets and throwing it over your shoulders. it was a summers day but there was a slight breeze in the air and you were only wearing shorts and a bodysuit. plus if there was one thing chris loved, its when you wore his clothes. it was oversized but worked with the outfit and you knew it would only add to the fuel of the prank you were about to play.
you sit down now, crossing your legs and opening up your phone, aimlessly scrolling once again, the after a few minutes you heard his bedroom door open and his footsteps running up the stairs. you quickly open up your notes up, pull your face into complete concentration, and tap away on your phone, writing utter jibberish but knowing it would look like you were frantically texting someone. it was the only thing you could think of that wouldn't have him bouncing over like a giant teddy bear when he sees you.
"you ready baby?" he says, and as much as it pains you, you pretend you don't hear him. after a second, he says your name. "y/n?"
you snap your head up, look at him for a second and then lock your phone. "so sorry. yes. im ready."
you stand up, and when he notices you're wearing his jacket a smirk plays on his lips. as you walk towards him, he open up his arms, but you walk straight past him.
"babe?" he says, and you turn around, smile on your face.
"hmm?" you practically sing, and he gives you an eye scrunch. "are you not ready?" you say, walking towards the top of the stairs.
"yeah, but-"
you cut him off. "lets go then. i think matt just went out, but we can walk! its a nice day"
and then as if right on queue, a saviour for your prank, matt rounds the corner of the bottom of the stairscase. "im here. where you going?"
"oh!" you exclaim, bounding down the stairs towards him. "i thought you'd gone out."
"i just went to clear my car ready to film tonight" he says as you remember they hadn't filmed a video for that week.
"that makes sense" you smile. "we're just going for coffee, but we can walk, unless you wanna come?"
matt gets out his phone to look at the time, and then turns to look at you before turning to look at his brother, who's making his way down the stairs.
"i can drop you off? nick will probably be wanting to be picked up soon anyway, so i can just wait for him"
"thanks bro" chris says, dabbing his brother up as he gets to the bottom of the stairs. you smile at them both before walking off and into the garage, reaching matts passenger side door and waiting for him to unlock it. it wasn't unusual for you to sit in the front, chris in the back, especially when nick wasn't there, but you watch chris as he walks into the garage and eyes you up, stepping behind you and then at the side as he goes to the back door.
"are you okay?" he says as matt unlocks the car, and you open the passenger side door immediately, stepping inside. when you get in and look outside, chris has walked away from the door as has one hand the passenger side door and one hand on the roof of the car, leaning in towards you.
"are you okay?" he says again, and you give him a smile before you lean forward, tapping his hand away from the door handle so you can grab it.
"im fine" you smile, going to close the door so he's forced to move, but he doesn't. he steps even further in, his eyes straight on your lips, and you wait until hes just a mere second away from kissing you to turn away, your hair whipping in his face as you look towards matt. matt looks at you before looking to chris.
"get in the fucking car, bro"
you turn back to chris, his eyes on his brother before he looks back to you and you give him a smile. he watches you for a second before screwing up his face, shutting the door with force before climbing into the back with a sigh. you try to contain a giggle as matt turns on the car, passing you his phone so you can pick some music to listen to on the short drive before you throw yourself into conversation with him. of course, you include chris, and by the time matt pulls up outside your favourite coffee shop you can tell chris is in a better mood.
"are you coming in?" you say to matt as he sits with the engine on, he looks up towards the coffee shop for a second before turning off the ignition.
"i'll get a drink and then dip" he says, and you smile as you get out of the car. as you shut the door, you feel chris' hand on your wrist and you turn to look at him, giving him a smile as you feel his hands grasp your own, intwining your fingers. you look down for a second before looking back up at him, wriggling your hands free and walking over to matts side, who gives you a smile as he looks at you. when you look back towards chris, hes shaking his head and uttering something under his breath you don't quite catch and you suddenly realise that even you yourself wont be able to keep up the game much longer, but you stay strong as you face the direction of the coffee shop and start walking towards it.
youre hit with a smile as you step inside, the coffee scent hitting you instantly. you know matt and chris would likely get some sort of lemonade or fruity drink rather than a coffee, and you spin round as they both enter.
"what you both having?" you say, and chris looks at you immediately.
"lemonade" he says, and you chuckle as you look towards matt who pouts his lips as he looks at the menu. you can see chris edging his way closer to you, but right on queue the barista calls you for your order.
"i'll have an iced latte, please. and a lemonade" the cashier smiles at you as she taps your order into her screen, and you turn to matt who speaks for you. "make that two lemonades" he says, and the cashier nods. when she tells you the total, chris steps to the side of you to pay, but you push his hand away.
"my treat" you smile sweetly at him, and he holds his hands up in surrender. when the money goes through and the barista turns around to make your drinks, you turn to matt.
"you two go sit down, i'll bring them over" you say.
"you sure?" matt says and you nod before he turns around to a table not too far away. when you turn back around, chris is inches away from you.
"baby, whats the matter?" he says, hands shoved in his pockets.
"nothing babe, why?"
"you're just acting ... weird?"
you screw up your face in confusion, pretending you have no idea what he's talking about.
"i'm fine, promise." you smile.
and when he speaks next your heart jolts. "okay. i love you."
you look at him for a second, your heart hammering in your chest, but you won't let him win this one.
"i know" you smile sweetly. "go, sit with matt. i'll bring them over."
you notice the way his face drops and you're almost ready there and then to end the game. you want to grab his face, give him a kiss and tell him you've been joking, but when he turns around and stalks off in the direction of matt you know its too late. you're about to turn around and shout him back when the barista calls out your order, and you walk over to her with a smile as you grab your three drinks, giving her a thank you as you turn around. when your eyes look up, matt is walking over to you.
"im gonna go pick nick up, he just text" he says, reaching to take one of the lemonades from your hand.
"okay" you smile, before he reaches out and gives you a hug. its more of a half hug, with your hands full of beverages, but you catch chris' eyes upon doing so and his eyes widen, standing up at the exact same time. you pull away from matt and give him a smile before he turns around, saying bye to chris as he walks past him and out the door. when you finally walk over to chris, he takes the drinks off you immediately and slams them onto the table.
"chris" you whisper, and he grabs your face in his hands.
"what have i done, babe? please. you're killing me." he says, eyes searching all over your face.
"nothing" you say, grabbing his wrists to pull his hands off your face, but he takes a step forward and crashes his body into yours, holding onto your face even tighter.
"no. tell me. whatever it is im so so sorry."
you crack. his voice sounds croaky and you can't put yourself through it anymore. you laugh as you grab his face back.
"im pranking you, mother fucker" you say, bringing your forehead to his, but he moves his head away.
"what?" he says.
"you never let me get you back. i wanted to see how you'd react if i didn't show you any affection."
he looks at you for a second, before a small smile plays on his lips and he crashes his lips into yours. you giggle as you wrap your arms around his neck, his arms coming around your waist as he gives you a squeeze. when you pull away, a mischievous smile pulled on his lips.
"oh you're cruel. you're so cruel." he says, giving you another kiss.
"got you though, didnt i?" you say, as he unraveals his arms from your body. he scoffs as he turns around and passes you your coffee.
"your one and only time" he says, nodding his head towards the entrance. you smirk as you walk past him to make your way back outside as he picks up his lemonade, but it doesn't take long before he catches up behind you and when you open the door to get out, his hand comes to your ass as he gives it a slap.
"chris!" you squeal, turning around to him as he steps out of the coffee shop, catching the eyes of a few people who have turned around to look at you. "people are looking" you say.
he turns his head to look back at people before a smile spread on his face, wrapping his arm around your neck and you dragging you in the direction of the stores ahead of you. "let them" he says, planting a kiss to your head as you wrap your arm around his back.
its safe to say, you both spend the rest of the day with your hand in each others, his lips on you more often than not.
AHHHHH I FELT SO MEAN PART WAY THROUGH THIS IMAGINING CHRIS' FACE AHHAHAHA OMG I HOPE THIS WAS OKAY! <3

date night. the one night a week where neither of you were working late and finally had the chance unfold in each otherâs arms.
as cool breeze blew through the living room window as you flipped through tv channels, spencerâs arm wrapped around your torso as you rested your head on his chest. âwhat do you feel like watching tonight?â you asked, his thumbs rubbing slow circles onto your flesh. âi donât mind, baby. iâm not picky.â you nodded, clicking the down button on the remote and landing on a reality show.
spencer hissed and you looked back at him. âwhatâs the matter?â you asked. âi donât mind it, but iâm just worried about you. you know i found a really intresting article about reality tv. statistics show that around 47% of people use them as guilty pleasures and 92% of that is the female population who admit that they feel pressure to conform to the unrealistic beauty and relationship standards portrayed in the shows. besides, everything is one-hundred percent staged anyway.â
with each word he spoke, you felt braincells getting killed off in your brain. you nodded, consdiering what he said. âalright then. no reality tv, got it.â you scrolled further down the tv guide, landing on a horror film this time. but he spoke again. âare you sure you wanna choose that, babe? horror movies have been proven to desensitize viewers to violence, major disturbances and other dangers, which may all end up messing up your perception of risks.â
you felt your eye twitching as he droned on. you decided to find something that he couldnât nitpick and analyze. you click on a weather forecast. boring, monotonous, but no dangers in sight. or so you thought. âdid you know tha-â you rolled your eyes, snapping at last. âgod, donât you ever get tired of working that mouth of yours?âÂ
you squirmed at how provocative the statement came out. surprised at your outburst, spencer smiled proudly. âi have yet to, darling.â his arm tightened around your waist, pulling you in even closer to him. you rose an eyebrow, eyes narrowing at him ever so slightly. âis that a challenge, spence?â he caught a glimpse of the cheeky grin on your face in the corner of his eye.Â
as the weather man blabbed on in the background, your face lit up as an idea popped into your head. you clicked the off button on the remote, making the tv screen turn black. you crawled so that you were fully sat on his lap, your hands starting to play with his hair as you whispered in his ear. âiâve got a better idea for date nightâŚâ
spencer reid, the human computer who could sense even the slightest change in atmopshere seemed to be having a malfunction as you gently pressed his face into your chest. his breath heat up, the warmth seeping throug the thin fabric of your tank top. you moved your hips against his lap, taking the air from his lungs. âhow about i put that tongue of yours to good use..?â
it was at this moment that he knew he was powerless. his hands were at your waist, clinging to them like he was afraid to let you go. his eyes trailed down to where your two body connected, taking in the sight of your legs in those little pajama shorts. he brought his hand down and began twirling the drawstring between his fingers, gazing up at you with those deep brown eyes. he tugged at the waistband, silently begging for the shorts to come off. you grinned, seeing that he was finally lost for words. âuse your words, spenceâŚâ you never thought youâd have to tell spencer to speak, but here you were, watching as he struggled to formulate basic english.
he pressed his chin into your soft chest, muttering under his breath. âcan you take âem off, hon..?â his biceps flxed slightly under his t-shirts as his grip tightened. you dug your thumbs under the waistband of your shorts, giving him a teasing glance of your bare hips and listening to his breath hitch.
you grinned as his eyes widened like saucers at the sight of your panties. âwhy donât you lie down for me, spence.â he nodded, following your command in an instant like an obedient puppy. you stood up from the couch, his eyes glued to your body as you finally took off your shorts, letting them fall to the ground before kicking them off your feet.
the tension in the room grew thick enough to cut through as you lowered yourself onto his chest, not wanting to move too fast. spencer was panting like a dog, eyes triling down to where you cunt with covered by that pesky little strip of fabric. he longed to tear it with his teeth, to finally have access to the honey between your legs.
you slowly rose up once again, crawling slowly until you were hovering over his face. spencerâs mouth watered at the area of saturated fabric that was the perfect telltale of your arousal. your hips swayed slightly, hypnotizing him and making that familiar sizzle burn in this grey sweatpants.
a taste of heaven was just a touch away, and he didnât know how much longer he could wait. you took a deep breath. âa-alright, just lemme know when youâre rea-â he couldnât bear the torture any longer. he grabbed your ass, tearing off your panties and connecting his lips with your dripping cunt.Â
completely taken by surprise, you yelped, gripping the couch cushion as your whole body tensed. he was going at it like a starved dog, his tongue greedily lapping up all your juuices as he tossed the leftover fabric of your panties to the side, his hands kneading the soft flesh of your ass as he flicked his tongue over your puffy clit.
he groaned deeply as he finally tasted you, desperate to have you. his pulsating cock twitched in his pants, begging to be let free. he bucked his hips into the air, moving against anything he could. âyou taste so good, babyâŚâ he muttered into your pussy, moving a hand down to rub quiet circles on your clit.
you tossed your head back in pleasure, grinding against his face as he found the perfect rhythm between his tongue and his fingers. he jutted his tongue in and out of your hole, hasilty bringing a hand down to his sweatpants and needily palming himself through the plush fabric. the contact made his vision go starry, the abundance of pleasure doing wonderful things to his head.
he snaked his hand into his pants, whipping out his precum-glazed cock. the tip was red and swollen from being neglected for so long. he gave himself a few lazy strokes, more focused on your right then than anything else.Â
his tongue ventured deep inside of your hole, desperate to taste every fold and crevice. you were sure that he wasnât even breathing at this point. he was completely drunk off the taste of your body. he pumped his cock at a more rapid pace, feeding his moans into your core and sending powerful vibrations through you.
the base of his hand slapped against his balls each time he went back down, his thumb ghosting against his tip when he came back up again. the living room filled with the succulent noises of him devouring you like your were his last meal.
your back arched as he suckled your hard pearl between his lips. you attempted to rise up from his face to let him have a breath of air, but he gripped you even tighter. âcâmon baby, iâm not done yetâŚâ he had your cum pouring down his neck, grool bubbling from his lips and nostrils. he was making an absolute mess of you, but he wouldnât have it any other way.
his hips violently thrusted into his fist as the sounds of your moans and whimpers fueled his desire even more. he growled into you, eating you up like a starved predator who had finally caught its prey. your legs clenched aorund his head, nearly suffocating him. you rode his face rapidly, tits bouncing through your tank top.
the sight from above made him run wild. he moved his hand from your hip, sneaking it under your shirt and starting to knead your breasts, toying with your hard nipples.
you were so close to reaching such a satisfying climax. every nerve in your body was responding to his intimate touch, never wanting him to stop. your hands grabbed his hair as the band in your stomach snapped, utnring you into a screamed mess as thick white liquid cascaded out of your pussy.
he hungrily lapped up every last drop, not wanting to let a single drop go to waste. his cock had ejaculated hot strings of cum so far that they had hit your back, painting you like a piece of art. he took his time finished you off like the last scoop of a sweet dessert before finally letting you off his face. as you got back to your feet, he sat up and pulled you into a sloppy kiss, feeding your cum into your mouth and groaning softly. â...see how good you taste, my love..?â
your lips began to swell at how deeply he took you in, the heat in your body reaching an all time high. after several long minutes, he pulled away from you, a string of saliva connecting you two before breaking. he looked down, seeing the cummy mess on his t-shirt. but it was nothing compared to what streamed down his neck. you giggled softly, patting him on the cheek. âsuch a messy boyâŚâ
he stood up from the couch, picking up your shorts for you. âhow about we take this date night to the shower? would you like that, baby?â you smiled, nodding as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder. he walked away with you, a smle on his face and a sticky mess flowing down your inner thighs.

The Technical Analyst and the Boy Genius: Spencer x Reader
Summary: You finally get your dream job working as a technical analyst for the BAU, but one team member isn't happy you're there. Warnings: Angst, talk of death, guns, shootings, stomach wounds
Want to read more, visit my Masterlist!
Five years. It took you five years to make it where you are today. Five years of no sleep, constant anxiety and a need to get where you want to be.
You worked your butt off in school to get your many degrees, but your hidden passion was computer work. Getting into the many cracks that was hidden and searching for answers or for what was in the unknown. It was what made you so useful to the FBI.
Throughout your five years of working for the FBI, you had been with multiple units as a technical analyst, helping your coworkers save the day on different missions. It brought you more joy than you would have thought it did when you stepped into the FBI building all those years ago.
Within that time, you've joined your teams on and off the field helping, and you struggled with what you liked better, field work or office work. Either way, you were helping. So, when you got the offer to transfer to the FBI's BAU, though you were sad to leave your team, you jumped at the chance to work with the group that was your end goal. And that was because of one person.
Penelope.
You both had only met a handful of times, your schedules always opposite of each other and your work bringing you to different locations didn't help either. But she was your mentor and her word was gospel. It had started your first year at the FBI, you had hacked into her computers just for fun and since then you were best friends. And now you were finally getting to work right were you wanted to be.
"Oh my god, oh my god, it's you! It's really you!" Penn gasped out once she saw you make your way through the double doors of the BAU's bull pen. She squished you into a hug, disregarding the fact you had a huge box in your hand.
You laughed in her embrace and your free hand circled her back. "I know it feels like a dream!"
You stood there chatting for a second before a smooth masculine voice came from behind Penn. "I heard we were getting a new partner in crime, I didn't think she'd be this beautiful." He stopped besides Penelope before saying to her, "Not as beautiful as you, baby girl."
You smiled at the exchange between the two. You had done your research on the team, Penn suppling you with random lists she made of each member to help you get to know them better. "You must be Derek Morgan, it's a pleasure to meet you." You said, stretching out your one good hand to shake.
"You know me?" Derek chuckled, as he shook your hand.
"I've done my research." You winked at him before laughing.
"See, she'll fit right in." Penn said before grabbing your hand and introducing you to everyone.
--
Two weeks had flown by since you started working besides Penn. It was awkward at first getting to know the team and how each one worked, but you didn't mind. It was the awkward bits that made it fun. You had managed to nail down how everyone worked and what they expected, except for Spencer. He was upset at you randomly, bickering at the things you said or just wanting the news from Penelope. Rossi told you it was because he didn't like change, and not to take it personally. But as the days went by, it was starting to, not matter how hard you were telling yourself to power through.
It wasn't until a case that required you specifically was when he started acting differently.
It was a strange case, the UnSub would implant a virus into large computer server farms, where he would kill his victims by using flashing lights and noises through their computers to send them into a deathly seizure. The only way to rid this virus was to remove the discs that were implanted in person while also blocking it remotely from getting to people. It was a two-person job, and Hotch decided it was best to fly you out with them since you were cleared for field work.
Spencer wasn't thrilled and he made it known, Hotch sending him looks to shut him up when he started. You didn't mind when he wasn't besides you, you could ignore it like you used to when you had similar thoughts from people on your old teams, but when Hotch paired you two together with Derek that's when it started to annoy you and it just got worse as the day went on.
"Do you ever shut up?" You asked him that night at the police station. Everyone was trying to figure where the UnSub would strike next, but all Spencer could do was dismiss everything you'd say.
The room grew silent when you finally snapped. Derek and Emily biting their lips to stop from smiling because you finally stuck up for yourself.
"I don't care if you're a genius. You don't know computers like I do. If I were the UnSub, I would strike here. It's a huge server farm with plenty of rooms full of servers to sneak this virus in. He's gone with all smaller farms before and has been building his way up. He's cocky, and he isn't going to stop until he hits the biggest farms." Spencer stood quiet, watching you as you took a deep breath in before you tilted your head at him. "Oh, and did I forget to mention, I have several degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice along with degrees in almost every field on computer work?"
The room broke out into chuckles, Spencer remaining silent. Rossi gave you a pat on the back with a small wink. "I think you finally broke him. Good job."
The next day, you were once again paired up with Spencer, this time alone. He was quiet as you drove and didn't say a word until you were at the farm when he grabbed you and whispered to be quiet.
You looked at him shocked, he wasn't one for physical touch, especially to new people and you knew it wouldn't happen with you with how much he disliked you. He pointed at the hallway that upon inspection had droplets of blood going down it. Spencer drew his weapon and stepped in front of you as you both headed down the hall to find a security guard leaning against the wall bleeding from several gunshot wounds.
Spencer called for an ambulance and back up before saying, "I'm Doctor Reid with the FBI, what happened?""
The man struggled to sit up so he could talk. You helped him up, pressing your sweater against his wounds. "A man came in, shot me and headed to our main server room. I tried to lock down the doors before he could get in, but he shot the control booth and shot me again."
You looked up at the control panel in the small room next to you. Spencer replaced your hands on the man's stomach and nodded for you to take a look. The panel was beyond fixing, the only way into the server room was to unlock it by hacking into the lock on the door. You looked back Spencer who was holding the man up as he reassured him help was on the way.
"The only way to open the room is accessing the panel box on the door. We're going to have get to the main room." Spencer nodded and helped looked at the security guard next to him.
"Tell me how to do it, you stay here with him."
"It's not something you can just figure out, it's something I need to do."
"No, Y/L/N. It's too dangerous, you're just an office worker."
You sent him an annoyed look. "I'm more qualified than you think I am."
"You may think you're qualified, but they didn't give you a gun. So, tell me what to do."
You looked at him and sighed. There was no way he could unlock the access panel in time to stop the UnSub and arguing back and forth was stalling you both. You could either give him the information and hope he figures it out or break away from Spencer and do it yourself.
In no way did you want credit or glory in taking down an UnSub, you just wanted to stop him. You didn't want him to take more lives than he already had, and this server farm was huge, and he could easily kill hundreds if he wanted too. Wasting time was ideal in this situation. You could have your badge taken away or be removed from the team, but you knew you had to try. So, you did the opposite of what the boy genius was telling you to do, and that was to sprint out of the control room, Spencer screaming for you to come back as you headed to the main server room.
You looked at the control panel on the side wall, pulling the frame off of it before plugging in your phone to it and taking over the controls. Your brain felt like it was on fire with how hard you were trying to find the specific number pattern to help your phone out. Once you figured it out you could easily hack into main control system and open the door. But you still had the UnSub to think about. He already shot up the security guard which he hasn't done before. So, you had to figure he was by the door, gun ready for you to come in. You were a few seconds away to opening up the door when an angry Spencer came running your way, his face red with anger.
You didn't have time to think, you just did. You launched yourself at Spencer, knocking him over as the door opened and bullets flew towards you.
Spencer was stunned with your body draped over his, your sweet perfume mixing with his woodsy scent. He watched you quickly get up, somehow dodging the few bullets that was shot at you before knocking the gun out of the UnSub's hand with a roundhouse kick before swiftly taking him the ground, his face smooshed into the ground. You looked like an angel and his brain couldn't comprehend what just happened.
The sound of footsteps heading his way and JJ leaning down to check on him brought Spencer back to reality. You single handedly stopped an UnSub with a roundhouse kick while saving his life a few seconds earlier.
Hotch quickly took over from you and handcuffed the UnSub. "Go, I got this."
You nodded and looked at the hundreds of servers in front of you, analyzing which ones could contain the virus. The team watched you as you figured which ones had it and how many there were. The rest of the day was spent disarming the virus, Spencer following you around as you went holding onto whatever you gave him.
--
"Hey, Y/N." Spencer's voice came from behind you as you made your way to the plane's stairs.
You turned aorund to find him staring at you, nervousness written all over his face. "Yeah?"
He cleared his throat. "Um, I just wanted to thank you for back at the server farm. You knew what needed to be done, and you were able to stop the virus before it could take another life. So good job back there."
A smile crept onto your face at how nervous he was to thank you. "No problem. I have anti-terrorist training from one of the old units I worked with. We profile and anticipate their next moves so it was pretty similar."
"You were a field agent?" He asked, as he made his way up the stairs behind you.
"Yeah, I worked on and off the field in my old units. It helps me from going stir crazy." You laughed and took a seat on the couch, Spencer joining you.
"Wow, and the karate?"
"Oh, I was a gymnast and did karate growing up."
The rest of the plane ride you spent talking with Spencer about your old units and your interests.
Emily looked over at Rossi and Derek before nodding over to the two of you. "Looks like they're going to be inseparable soon."
"Looks like you and Penelope have some competition." Rossi chuckled.
"Baby girl and I are going to have to step it up."
JJ tuned around in her seat to join the conversation. "Looks like Spence is already pretty comfortable."
The team looked over to see your head on Spencer's shoulder and his on rest on the top of yours, sleep finally catching up to you two.
Hotch sighed at the two of you. "Don't tell me I'm going to have to watch them too."
