Hello Hana, I hope you're doing well 😊 so recently I've been reading Sherlock Holmes and read some good scenes that fueled something in my brain.

You and Lilia have been pretty good at covering up the series of crime you two committed. Unfortunately, due to some technical errors, the police was already on the way here before you two could. You swear that he did it on purpose, when you saw him smiled, as the police car's siren becomes closer and closer.

"It took them quite a long to catch us in the act, but I'm not one to undermine someone's effort."

You almost smacked him in the head, when he walked to a nearby window, giving his location the police below. You grabbed his shoulders and pulled the curtains to cover yourselves. "Lilia! What were you doing?!" you hissed.

He just laughs, "You worry too much sweetcheeks. We'll be fine."

You shake him in hopes to fix his loose screws in the head. "What do you mean fine?! We're surrounded!" you stopped shaking him and looked at the stairs when you heard footsteps, hastily going up the stairs.

"Seems like you've given them an aid while you were scolding me," he chuckles.

"It's completely your fault why I screamed! I've already had plans to escape, but were foiled when they were able to pinpoint that were still here!" you scolded him as both of you ran up the stairs.

He almost escaped, if only he didn't help you when you trip on the carpet on the floor. The police men eagerly handcuffed both of your hands together, guiding you two out of the building. Reporters were outside, sharing to the world that both of you were finally caught and that the citizens don't have to worry anymore.

As you two reach the car, and they were about to shove both of you inside, Lilia squatted down, bringing you along as you two were chained together. He then uses his legs to kick the policemen behind, and grabbed the gun using his free hand. You almost would have kissed the floor, if it weren't for your reflexes with how fast he moves. He stands up, bringing you along, and hugged you closer to his chest (re-using that scene from my general lilia ask 😆 lmao when will I experience this in real life). You heard several gun shots, and you crumpled his vest under your free hand from worry.

Both of you opened the police car and went inside. He sat on the driver's seat with you beside him, locking the door with your free right hand. He uses his right hand to pull the-stick-thing (I forgot what its called 😭), and you glared at him with how harshly he did so as your left hand was tied to his left. As you guys left the scene with the police car, you broke the silence between you two.

"Lilia what the hell was that? We could've gotten shot or died! We can just escape the cell with their help, considering we were just aired on live TV."

"Here I thought you'd finally praise me. I save you, you know?" he rolled the steering with only one hand and smirked at your annoyed face.

"You mean using me as a shield, so you don't get shot?" You rolled your eyes.

Lilia sighs as his advances were once again thwarted by you. He will soon definitely soften that rock hard heart.

These are just a few things I personally deem as headcanon about Kate, after rewatching and analyzing her interactions and personality traits. Please remember that this is just my perception of her. If you have anything you consider to be headcanon about Kate let me know.

Don’t get me wrong he still likes his private gaming time and thinks you deserve your own gaming time! But he quickly warms up to the idea of you being together and sharing that time together

I think if there was a game you could get him to play it would be a Dark Souls/Elden Ring type game! I think the dramatic music and fight scenes would pique his interest as he walks past your desk

After watching you fight Malenia or something he says he’ll give it a try

And then he loses to the Tree Sentinel and you have to comfort him. “Babe, that’s kind of the point, you have to go and level up first!” He thought he could impress you oh lord

You might be able to convince him to start his own game of Stardew Valley, but he’s busy a lot and feels guilty about ‘abandoning them’, so he prefers to watch you play!

Will also cook you dinner and make sure your water is full while you play! He likes to watch you play and loves seeing you all happy when you’re winning

Sometimes he will try and hug you while you’re playing because he loves seeing you do something you love, but then you have to remind him that you’re in the middle of a game!

“So how was your game!” “It was good! Eren always plays aggro so he took most of the attention away from me!” “There’s a character named Eren in your game? Huh,” it takes him a second to understand that you’re playing with REAL PEOPLE

Just like Reiner (honestly all of these men who don’t understand video games) he doesn’t see the point? Like why not go outside and do something?

Kind of rolls his eyes at the games you play despite him not knowing about them

But he secretly takes pride in the fact that you’re sometimes the one taking control and bossing the others around

It still amazed Alex that the sun actually existed sometimes in England.

Mornings like these, the amber rays leaking in through the curtains, the cool breeze wafting through the window, birds chirping faintly outside.

A gentle reminder that England was not the grey, dreary commonwealth of boredom he had once envisioned.

No, mornings like this were quiet, pretty, perfect.

Well, almost perfect.

Because somehow, during the night, Henry - the absolute love of his life - had stolen the entire fucking blanket.

Those amber rays? Rare patches of warmth and hope keeping Alex right on the edge of freezing to death. The cool, refreshing breeze? Jack Frost's pesky fingers trying to strip the flesh right off his bones. The birds and their sweet, beautiful songs? Evil little shits taunting him with their built-in feather shields, protecting them from the harsh elements he was currently at the mercy of.

Sort of... The heating was on inside the house, so perhaps he was being a touch dramatic.

Still, the question remained. Should he let Henry sleep in, or should he reclaim his rightful half of the covers?

His boyfriend did look quite adorable like this, his perfect hair all tousled, his face relaxed so far his mouth was slightly open. And while it was getting more and more common for Alex to see the real Henry, and not Prince Pompously Pedantic The Third, he still treasured these moments of pure unfiltered Henry.

Maybe if he just slowly pulled...

"Alexxxxx..." Henry mumbled, still half asleep, before pulling the blanket over his head and turning around.

Alex gave a soft, indignant gasp. "Well good morning to you too."

No response.

"You've got the blanket." Alex said flatly.

Alex's face fell into a glare. "All of it."

"Yes." Henry hummed. "And it's incredibly comfy."

The prince didn't have to turn around for Alex to know the little shit had a smug (albeit sleepy) grin on his face.

"And you're not going to share?" Alex shuffled himself closer, almost leaning over Henry's shoulder.

"Hmm..." Henry pondered, becoming more and more awake by the second (though he kept his eyes closed throughout the exchange). "No."

Alex rolled his eyes. "Come on, don't let me freeze."

"What if I don't want to freeze?" Henry said - trying to keep a straight face, but the corners of his mouth betrayed him.

"Henry, it's a king sized blanket! We'll both have heaps of space."

Unable to stop himself, Henry let his face fall into a smirk. "Yes, it's a king sized blanket. Fit for one king. That's me."

Alex flopped backwards onto the pillow, rolling his eyes with a laugh. "You're not a king yet!"

"I'm closer than you'll ever be." Henry mumbled, though he couldn't help the laugh that leaked into his tone.

And, just adding insult to injury, Henry wrapped himself even further into his blanket like a caterpillar into a cocoon. Alex didn't have so much as a thread to pull over himself after Henry's little burrito moment, but that might just play into his favour.

Realising just how much Henry had restricted his own movement, it was Alex's turn to smirk.

"You wanna stay in the blanket that badly?" Alex muttered under his breath, before jumping onto his boyfriend. "Fine."

"Ale-HEHEX NOHOHO!" Henry shrieked, jolted out of his fake sleep by Alex's hands squeezing ferociously into his hips.

Somehow, Alex had intensified the pressure of his thumbs to be the perfect level of force through the blanket. By the time it reached Henry's hip bones the sensations were unbearably tickly, and it was driving Henry absolutely mad.

"No what?" Alex teased, expertly keeping his balance atop his squirming partner. "What's wrong baby? Not quite the sleep in you were looking for?"

"STOHOHOP IT! PLEHEHEASE!" Henry thrashed violently from side to side, but the blanket restricted his movements so much he could barely move a few inches each way.

Alex grinned, opting to change his tactic to aim for Henry's exposed neck. "Too late for pleading baby, should have given me the blanket when I asked."

"NONONONONO!" Henry squealed, trying desperately to find some way to cover the ridiculously sensitive target. He couldn't decide what was worse, the drilling thuds of Alex's thumbs through the blanket against his sides, or the whisper-light scratches of Alex's fingernails on his bare skin.

"Unless..." Alex continued to tease, trailing off to allow Henry to put the pieces together. And just for encouragement, he brought one hand back down to squeeze up and down Henry's sides while the other continued to torment the future king's neck.

"YOU CAN HAHAHAVE IHIHIT!" Henry surrendered, his body caught in an odd dance between escaping Alex and unravelling the blanket to get both off his body. "TAHAKE IT TAKE IHIT TAKE IT!"

With a smirk, Alex ceased all his attacks and helped his beloved boyfriend emerge from the duvet.

"There." Alex smiled in satisfaction and the pair lay down next to each other - equally covered under the quilt. "Was that so hard?"

3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?

idk she's perfect. I love all her virtues and flaws. Like the pacifism in season 4 was annoying but it served a greater thematic purpose that absolutely fucked so I still love it. She's a little too credulous, but I find that funny. Ordinarily I might find her a bit of a drip since she doesn't actively enjoy killing people, but Xena's got the market covered there and she's a good contrast so it's fine in context. In theory it sucks that her outfit shrinks more every season, in practice I'm the fan being serviced so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Okay I got it: it does kind of suck that she like, represents Xena's goodness in a way, because I love Xena's darker moments and occasionally I do want to shake my fist at Gabrielle for pulling her back from them lol. I know we couldn't have a show where Xena went full evil again and I do love her story of becoming a hero as well, but like, still.

It goes something like this:

It’s one of their monthly little get-togethers which are ostensibly a collaborative effort between states, but they all know better than that. Most of them are smoking and the room is choked with nicotine and the long table has about four different ashtrays, all already overflowing.

Imports, exports, crime rates, deficits and expenditures and the good comrade East Germany is putting out his third cigarette and craving a banana. He’s raised the issue of lack of fruit imports already, but that earned him a steely glare and a stern order that juvenile hand gestures would not be tolerated. 

Gilbert had given Ivan a different juvenile hand gesture of choice and is currently chewing on his pen out of boredom as the meeting winds to a close with the same agonizing inevitability as the heat-death of the universe. He would probably prefer that to whatever Ivan is doing – he tunes back in: Raivis is being grilled for one failure or another. None of his business. He tunes back out. Not even the cheap and nasty nicotine is touching the edges of his horrifying sobriety.

Ivan is standing up and going to the blackboard that Gilbert has long-assumed has been installed for the sole purpose of patronising the various satellites and vassals as though they are children.

He claps his hands together to command attention.

“We come to our last point! I’m sure I don’t need to remind everyone how Comrade of the Month works, yes?”

Christ above. Gilbert can feel the ripple of annoyance from the others seated at the table. Everyone is running out of smokes. Ivan continues regardless.

“I will be brief. Our Nice Comrade of the Month Award For Excellency goes to our very own Tolys, for his good interpersonal behaviour.”

For the third month in a row. Gilbert rolls his eyes as there’s a bit of scattered clapping. Tolys is smiling, thinly as Ivan tapes his mugshot to the board.

“On the other hand, the Naughty Comrade of the Month Award for Dishonourable Conduct goes to Gilbert.”

A hush settles over the room and Gilbert pauses in the middle of chewing his pen to scrap.

“For what?” he asks to the silent room, despite himself. It could be anything from the musical bootlegging, to that time he stole bananas out of Ivan’s fridge, to constantly showing up to work still high off his tits from the night before, to any number of ‘dishonourable’ actions Ivan might have taken ire with.

Ivan pauses in the middle of taping his picture up, but completes that before turning back to the room and pinning Gilbert with a glare. The corner of his mouth ticks up.

“For biting me,” he says matter of factly, as if that narrows it down in the slightest. Gilbert can hear Feliks guffaw down the table. That doesn’t matter because Gilbert can sense an opening as his memory clicks into place for what he’s being punished for. He can’t help himself because he never could when opportunities present themselves.

“Where, again? Can’t remember. Probably all the brain damage, sorry.”

Ivan’s mouth does that ticking up again that means he’s going to be getting a belting later. That’s fine. Gilbert doesn’t grin because that would be giving the game away. He glances helplessly at his comrades, feigning confusion. They are, as a whole, delicately refusing to make eye contact.

Cowards.

“You bit me… Inappropriately,” Ivan concedes through clenched teeth and the snort Feliks makes spread into giggles from the table until they are silenced by another glare. “So you go on the board. That is all for today. You are all excused, our award recipients excepted. Good afternoon, comrades.”

The rest of them can’t seem to leave quick enough and Ivan makes sure to thank each and every one on the way out. Tolys is sending Gilbert a covert glare as he swings his boots up on the table. They were both going to be there for a while, as was standard for these sorts of proceedings.

“You bit him?” Tolys whisper-hisses, leaning across the table. Gil grins at him.

“In the ass.”

Gilbert isn’t sure because it’s not too long before Ivan returns his attentions to them, but he could swear he saw a flash of a furtive, amused smile cross Tolys’ face.

I see him as a Christ-like figure because I saw his whole confrontation with Mephiles and was like “this is a thing that happened in the Bible??” and the pose Mephiles shows him in is literally like a crucifixion and Mephiles is meant to be a demon / false prophet reference. And also he’s called a demon in Shadow The Hedgehog 2005 then the guy who calls him that is like “I was wrong I’m sorry” and that also reminds me of a thing with Jesus in The Bible. But the biggest reason is his whole thing with Maria cause I think he’d come to earth and hear Ave Maria once and convert to Catholicism idk he’s like we’re comforted by a female familial figure named Mary sometimes called Maria?? Poland is a historically Catholic nation, and… come on. Maria is the most Catholic name ever. The Robotniks are Catholic. Shadow was created and raised by Catholics.

Now you may be wondering to yourself: Does Catholicism even exist in Sonic? The answer is yes, at least in the Archie comics, where Protestants are explicitly mentioned.

Couple this with the fact that several characters, including Shadow, have canonically taken the Lord’s name in vain, it is reasonable to infer that Christianity, and therefore Catholicism, exists.

So… while Shadow’s own religious beliefs may not have been explicitly addressed… at minimum:

Catholic is a cultural designation that Shadow will always be allowed to claim based on the family that made him.

Essays are done!! Here’s some Shadow propaganda because the propaganda we currently have sucks and I need to fix that. While yes, Shadow being Catholic is a meme, there is more to outside of the simple “fandub said so” and its not quite stated its Catholicism but just how he behaves and his actions. There’s a lot of Sonic content so I will try to keep this brief. Gonna get headcanons out of the way.

Shadow is Chilean and so are Maria and Gerald Robotnik because I fucking say so and they’re Catholic. He definitely had un rosario next to his like. Bed or test tube whatever he slept in. So did Maria btw. Alright let’s move on because I am 100% correct.

Let’s start with some background for Shadow. Shadow was created as a cure for a girl called Maria and he grew to care for her as a sister and loved her deeply. He was artificially created but still holds a soul that is similar to Maria’s. Long story short, Maria is killed protecting Shadow who watches as she’s shot in front of him. He has his memories tampered by Maria’s grandfather, Gerald, who manipulates him into carrying out revenge on the Earth, even if Shadow ends up as collateral.

Shadow struggles with frequent identity crises, even before Maria’s death and always wondered what his purpose was, what he was made to do. Was he a weapon? Was he a cure? He’s the Ultimate Lifeform, but what does that truly mean? ? He’s Shadow, but what more is there to him? He doesn’t know what his purpose is other than what others have prescribed to him, and he guides himself through the will of others (something that he breaks through afterwards but not yet). Shadow at his core is self-sacrificing and constantly punishes himself. This is where you can see some of that good old guilt that everyone has been using as propaganda, but we also see someone who is giving and kind.

He is snarky in the game, especially when interacting with Sonic, but he’s having what is essentially an ongoing mental breakdown but keeps moving because it is his duty to his sister. He doesn’t believe himself important enough to continue on after her and sees it in himself to act out on “Maria’s wishes”. After the revelation that Maria’s final wish for Shadow was for him to make those on Earth happy and to protect them, he immediately sacrifices himself to do so.

Okay, that’s a lot and you’re probably asking “Okay, you mentioned he is a giving person and yeah he has guilt, but that’s not really Catholicism” and yes you would be right! So let’s go into the more important part of being Catholic. The charity, the community, the kindness, etc. Shadow is a very reserved person and has the habit of being a dumb teenager because well. Yeah. Anyways, he definitely has a soft spot for those he cares about and while his whole arc (in my opinion) is about finding the freedom of self-autonomy, it is also Shadow growing as a person and deciding not to save people because others have told him he needs to, but because he wants to. It is born from his soul and its his nature to care for people. It is who he is, and he knows it now. He’s not doing it because he’s a hero or because he is told to do so. Shadow is a very giving person and I think people tend to forget about that especially due to bad writing from the past decade or so. He is also stated to help out at food shelters and volunteers a lot. He is proud and a bit prickly, but he cares so deeply about those he loves. He is stronger with his loved ones and will always do his best to protect them. These are minor, yeah, but you don’t need sweeping and enormous acts to get attention for the good deeds you do. Most of what you apply of Catholicism is done at the personal level, between your friends, family, and community.He also goes to Mass whenever he can and if he can’t he goes to the capilla and also does the sign of the cross whenever he runs by a church.
