- I feel like his mother would look over this behaviour.

- Remember, Cloud never had any friends or anyone to talk to.

- So his mother was actually over the moon when he finally has someone who cares for him.

- She would probably chalk it up as him just being excited to have a friend.

- Your own guardian/parents wouldn’t mind as well as much

- They don’t really like the other kids as much (besides Tifa), so they were also happy that you made a new friend (despite again, being very clingy to you)

- Another mouth to feed too since he likes staying over.

- Cloud doesn’t understand these emotions but he does understand that he cherishes you and wants to be around you more often.

- If you played the original FF7 or watched it, yknow what’s coming up.

- Tifa’s mother died when she was young and thought she could reach her if she climbed up Mt. Nibel.

- You and Cloud followed her as you two were concerned for Tifa.

- Up in the mountains, you were fortunate to push Tifa and Cloud away before the bridge fell.

- The consequence? Yourself

- You fell down the bridge in place of both Tifa and Cloud.

- While falling, you heard the most blood-curdling scream you ever heard from both Cloud and Tifa.

- Thankfully, you survived the fall.

- But you still suffered major injuries and was unconscious for several days.

- Which resulted you from going outside.

- This deeply affected Cloud so much. His one and only friend, the one person he care for so much that he would do anything to prove it to you.

- It didn’t help that almost everyone in the town blamed HIM for what happened.

- Even with Tifa’s protests and defending Cloud’s innocence, no one listened.

- IMAGINE BLAMING A CHILD

- Your guardian reassured him and Tifa that it wasn’t their fault, that you wouldn’t want them to feel bad.

- But even with all of the reassurance from your guardian and Tifa, Cloud couldn’t stop the guilt and despair that kept clawing within him.

- Thus, he started believing the blame that people keep telling him, blaming himself that he was the reason why you’re in terrible state right now.

- With you being unconscious and not being able to go out, Cloud started to keep to himself again.

- If he wasn’t staying by your side to see if you would wake up, he was in his bed.

- Just laying in there, surrounded by his thoughts and guilt.

- Why do anything if everything that happened was his fault?

- Why go out if you weren’t there with him?

- He believes that he ruined the one good thing in his life.

- When you finally woke up, Cloud never ran so fast to your house.

- Even forgot to knock, just kept jiggling the door handle until your guardian unlocked it.

- He quickly into went to your room

- And when he got there, it was like he finally woke up from his nightmare.

- Because there you were, alive.

- Quickly went up to you and hugged you so tight that you thought you couldn’t breathe for a second.

- You couldn’t process what was happening until you felt something wet on your shoulder.

- Cloud was crying. He was so relieved, so relieved to see you awake.

- He didn’t know what to say, all he could say was incoherent mumbles.

- “Im so sorry… I’m so glad you’re here with me” Is what Cloud could say.

- Once you were able to process what was happening, all you did was hug him back just as tightly, not even caring if your arms were still sore. You weren't sure as to why Cloud was saying sorry for, but you began crying as well.

- “I’m glad you’re here with me as well,” You said back.

- All Cloud did was hug you even tighter.

- All throughout your recovery, Cloud was there by your side 24/7.

- If you needed anything, Cloud the Delivery Boy was on the run! 👀👀👀👀

- Made sure to hold your hand extra tight in order for you to not fall.

- If y’all were going outside for a walk, IT WILL ONLY BE ON FLAT GROUND.

- No hills, no bumps, no nothing

- He can’t risk you hurting yourself again because of himself.

- He also tried to carry you

- Also super protective

- Wouldn’t even let Tifa near you when she wanted to see you again.

- Tifa was so mad he didn’t let her hang out with you. She was your friend too!!

It was late at night and Cloud left a note for you, asking to meet him at the water tower.

It wasn’t unusual for Cloud to ask this because you guys usually hang out whenever one of you feels like it. As you kept walking to the tower, you can’t help but have a strange feeling as to why Cloud didn’t specify why he wanted to talk to you.

Once you got to the top of the tower, you see Cloud sitting on edge of the platform. It seemed like he was lost in thought, like he was still figuring out what to say. You smiled, always finding his thinking-face to be so cute. You finally approached him and tapped on on the shoulder. He flinched, he didn’t even hear you walk up.

“Hey” You greeted Cloud while sitting down.

Cloud nodded his head at you and looked backed out on the ground below him.

Your eyebrows furred together. Again, the same feeling when you were walking to the tower came back and sense that something was wrong with Cloud.

“You said you wanted to speak to me?” You questioned as you continued to observe Cloud’s facial expressions. It took some time for him to say something, but when he did, it almost disappointed you.

“When spring comes, I’m leaving town and going to Midgard.” He stated while not looking at you.

You frowned. You knew this day would come.

You hummed at Cloud’s response. “Not surprised… every guy here is leaving for work, even Tifa’s friends are leaving too..” You quietly said, still sad that Cloud was leaving you. Cloud jumped at the tone of you voice, quickly turning his head in order to face you.

“B-But— I’m not like them!” Cloud exclaimed, worried that you thought he wanted to leave you. Never.

“I’m not just going into the city just to look for a job… I’m going to become a SOLDIER. Like Sephiroth” Cloud continued as he confessed.

“The legendary war-hero huh…” You said quietly.

You heard stories from some the guys around town talk about how they would leave town to either look for work or join a military program named ‘SOLDIER’. It’s been something that a lot of kids dream of when growing up, and Cloud was apparently not an exception.

You knew it was selfish of you to wished that Cloud wouldn’t leave town for the program. But he’s your best friend. It‘ll be painful for you to see him move far away for a long time, in a completely different city.

You guys stayed silent for a few minutes until scooted closer to Cloud. He looked at you surprised.

“Okay…then promise me this” You said to him. “When we’re older and you become a famous war hero and come back to visit… you’ll take me with you on your missions.” You said as you had this serious look in your eyes. If Cloud was going to be able to go cool and interesting adventures, you wanna come with.

“H-huh—?!”

“You’ll be like my guide or something!” You laughed at Clouds reaction.

“It will be dangerous for you!” Cloud exclaimed.

“Nu-uh! Tifa’s father has been teaching me some moves lately! At this rate, I’m going to be even stronger than Sephiroth and become SOLDIER” You proudly said as you flexed your non-existenting muscles.

“Plus..” You started. “Since you’re gonna become a SOLDIER, you’re going to be able to protect me. I know you will. You know I trust you with my life!” You continued as you smiled at him.

Cloud gasped at your statement as his eyes widen in shock.

You trusted him.

You wanted him to save you.

You wanted him as your protector.

You wanted him.

You felt your checks warm up in embarrassment as you realized what you said to him. You then grabbed Cloud into a tight hug.

You felt Cloud slowly hug you back.

"Y’know, I'm glad I met you, Cloud" You whispered to Cloud, hugging him even tighter. He also hugs you closer.

You guys just stayed like that while looking at the stars above.

All Cloud wants is to become strong enough to protect you. Since he saw how much Sephiroth has done to protect other people and cities in the papers, he knew that he had to join. To become stronger, to be able to become the best version of himself, for you to see that the only person that you could come to for protection and rescuing, will be him. He will become your protector.

He swore to himself ever since you got injured because to his carelessness.

‘Y/n…You have no idea what lengths I would go through just to keep you safe.’

1) Why do you like or dislike this character?

I spent like seventy years attempting to find the post with this meme on it so I could give credit lmao, but I could not for the life of me, so uh, just know that I'm remaking this thing from memory I guess???

Jason is the bee in my bonnet, the rock in my shoe, and I am chewing on him forever and ever - meanwhile I will enjoy pretty much any comic about Steph simply because I love watching her do her thing :3

But to go into more detail I really enjoy Steph's narration style and the way she navigates the world. She feels very refreshingly street level and hopeful. Also as someone who grew up as the only "girl" (trans man but egg) in my martial arts class which was taught by a detective with a very drill sargent/tough-love approach to teaching and got an extra helping of PTSD as a result... watching her struggle, get dismissed bc of her gender, and go on to become a great hero despite Batman and his bullshit feels really fucking good. Def love Batgirl 2009

Jason on the other hand is just so deliciously messy. He's hurt a lot of people, but at the same time his anger is super justified! He's intimately familiar with violence in a way that I think makes him unable to conceptualize trust and gauge what an 'appropriate' response is. There's been several times where he's expressed the idea that serious violence by him against others is just normal and forgivable and not a big deal. There's something so compelling to me about that bc I think he really does see it that way, and it comes from a place of him being extremely used to receiving violence and being expected to forgive and not hold it against them. That wall of text in the meme picture is a tiny fraction of one of my essays on him. He's got so many fascinating layers and I love peeling him apart and putting him back together like a robot performing surgery on a grape.

Sometime after I finish Chained, I really want to write Four and Twenty Blackbirds, which is a fic concept I've had for ages now that puts them together in a lesbian/gay man queer relationship. The premise is that somehow or other Steph comes back to Gotham secretly/early and Jason is the first one to find her and they end up building a weird organized crime/community support organization called The Blackbirds.

Not sure on the timeline. Maybe it'll start before Under the Red Hood? Maybe after a modified Hush plotline?? In any case: Jason offers to preform High Vengeance against Black Mask either for or with her. She does not want him killed! She would feel like that went completely against everything she died for. However, she does want that fucker taken down, and is touched that Jason clearly genuinely cares. Also I'm going to have Jason assume without question that she is fully competent and his equal. Unlike every other vigilante in town, she will never have to prove herself to him. So anyways she tells him that yeah, she wants her revenge, but it's gonna happen her way, and the plot moves on from there, as together they destroy and co-opt Black Mask's organization and establish a territory for themselves :3

22) If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like?

Unless given a reading suggestion by someone else, I exclusively read JayTim fanfiction, which heavily skews what I look for and see in fic. I'm also pretty damned picky lol I write much more fic than I read these days

Even the most basic, stripped down version of Stephanie's core concepts and background ought to be enough to conclude that she would have very complex feelings about both Jason and Tim and them dating each other. She had a supervillain father and a character arc about learning to value the lives of even her worst enemies. Now her ex is dating a guy who had a henchman father and the same character arc in reverse, a guy who specifically targeted her killer in order to get back at the mentor who bears some responsibility for both her death and his own. They are so uniquely poised to understand each other from across this fascinating chasm, both in terms of approaches to vigilantism and dating Tim. You could not ask for a more fertile storytelling ground, regardless of if you want her to be supportive or not.

So yeah, for Stephanie I like it when she has a personality outside of cheerleading Tim while being vaguely sweet and quirky.

The bar is in Hell here folks, and out of the hundreds of fanfics I've read I've only ever seen it cleared twice. And that's only if we include my own goddamned writing. This goes beyond normal fandom simplification, especially when you factor in that Cass, famously against all killing Cass, gets similarly denuded of all internal motives and qualities in favor of being (sometimes literally) wordlessly supportive for no apparent reason, while in those same fics the male characters get to have opinions and internal viewpoints. JayTim nation, I am praying for us to learn how to write women, truly.

Now on to Jason!

I think of Jason as someone who is intense in every facet of himself. He can be cruel and mistrustful or tender and romantic, but no matter what he is I want him to be a little unhinged with it, a little too deep, a little too incapable of not giving a fuck. I want this man lost in the sauce, whatever that sauce may be.

I dislike him being overly apologetic, which practically translates to me disliking most fics in which he is apologetic at all lol I do think he would come to regret some of his actions, but I tend to think those would be different actions than the ones he's usually depicted apologizing for. For instance, I can absolutely see him apologizing to a victim of the Joker for not killing him when he got the chance, but I don't really think he'd have the framework to consider his fights with Tim to have been all that far out of line.

25) What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Ohhhhhhh boy that was fuckin ages ago??? I'm not honestly sure I remember, though I do know that I read JayTim fanfics before anything else that involved these characters, so it had to have been based on that.

...Gah, I don't even remember how I found this ship lol! I mean I started with Boostle?? Maybe JayTim was in the background somewhere of one of those fics? idk

I suppose my first impressions were that Jason was a Big Mood deeply traumatized and lashing out bc of that, and Stephanie was gir waffles XD random rawr means I love you in dinosaur.

Oh, and of course, correct Hilda's major Dain blood lol, and give the ish sibs minor Fala blood (but still nothing for scipio he'll forever remain a joke !).

As for the plot...

It's opening another can, rather, super container of worms anon !

In a nutshell, give more plot importance to Julia so she's not in her own tier anymore, maybe have Tine not join if Arthur is the one who killed Ishtore (give him more relevance damn, Tine is supposed to like/love her cousins but dgaf, after crying for his death for 3 seconds, when the LA wants to recruit her ?), kinslaying being so vile in Jugdral verse, Johan/lva doesn't die when the other is picked up, let's have them maybe be a green unit sometimes met in a castle, or have him lead off screen armies (like they're sent to meet with Leif before Seliph officially rescues him in Fe4) etc...

Oh and unless it's a pure Fe4 remake, incluses elements from Fe5 (with Fe5 remake proper being another game), like the feud between Galzus and Shanan (resolve it ffs, let us have the reason why Shanan's dad slaughtered one of his sisters and threw his nephew in exile, but didn't want the same fate for his other sister), Faerghus shenanigans and, of course, Saias stuff (him joining Julius' side and picking Valflame in the last map, only being recruitable by Julia).

Give Julia the Lord status, aka when she dies it's game over because she's the only one who can use Naga to defeat Loptyr !

You’ll never figure it out! That’s right! It’s Jack Fucking Baker for the fourth god damn time and now he looks even more disgusting and corrupted. Not related to my view on him but he’s was… kind of misogyny-coded in the original Resident Evil 4 and that makes me giggle a little but I still somehow prefer that RE4 to the 2023 Remake. Okay, okay, anyway…. I HATE how the fandom views him, it stresses me out. They view him as this demanding, super serious, violent, brooding man who just wants a stupid, ditzy, useless girlfriend he can dominate, control and be a creep towards but that’s… not him? He lost his parents for fuck’s sake and got stuck in this godforsaken infected world when he was just 21… he wants home, I think more than anything he wants to come back to a place where he doesn’t have to think, where things can be handled for him and all he has to do is let himself be loved. Praised and acknowledged for once in his (somewhat miserable, let’s be honest) life. I mentioned, while answering Lucy’s ask, that I view him as a guard dog, and I think that’s perfect for him. He exists to protect — he has dedicated himself to that protection, to offering that canopy. His aggression is never on the offence, it has never been; not once, but it is done as a protective measure. If the years have reduced Ajax to a sword then they have reduced Leon to a shield. He just wants his efforts acknowledged — he just wants praise and warmth and comfort — and yet are they ever? At-least, to the degree they deserve? He falls into a depressive state in Resident Evil: Vendetta and it stings. He is such a simple man and I genuinely believe domesticity could fix him. He has never known what it’s like to feel safe — why would anyone want to force him to be a protector even in his partnership, even in intimacy? Let him relax for fuck’s sake. Let him. know what it’s like to be on the other end for once in his life. Comfortable clothes, hand holding on a warm cup of tea rather than a gun or a knife. No news channels and no social media or nothing. Phone on DND. I do not care if the USA burns to the ground, I want him to rest his head on my shoulder and finally get the sleep he hasn’t had in years. Civilian lives can wait a few hours to be saved.

fog town discussions abound about this but another thing that differentiates jim from james is that jim is able to better articulate warmth and care towards other people, esp towards angela.

i think jim is like... the nicest to angela, actually. jim tries with eddie but doesn't really know what to do or say, seemingly, and with maria, she's so put off and afraid of her that in most instances, she comes off as rather apathetic and almost annoyed by her presence. she doesn't even allow herself to grieve maria in full in the scenes where maria dies—as if she'd take up space in her mind as "mary".

it's not a matter of like... if jim is the genuinely kinder one of the two, i think; it's just that jim is far more of a lucid and present individual, which would help in coming off as more attentive to others. both have a sweetheart nature underscored by a deep callousness, and one is just better at expressing that than the other in terms of personality.

also, i'd say jim is a lot more sardonic, too. she's a bit more humorous and sarcastic than james, who comes off as more straightforward and no-nonsense. the first convo in the lakeview hotel with laura says as much in the remake; jim makes light of laura's previous behavior bcs i think she recognizes that she's a kid LOL.

Chris has the final word. technically only on the field but I'm having a hard time imagining that it wouldn't spill into their private lives too. and that's gross. it's an inherent power imbalance that just gives me the ick.

like. I COULD see it work if someone put their A game into it and handled it properly, acknowledged the issues and showed them working through those. but usually that's just glossed over. if a fic for example would move them to different teams or otherwise solve the power issue, and would acknowledge Piers growing out of the hero-worship he started with lol, then it could work. but that's not what happened in ANY of the fics I tried to read when I first got into the fandom. it was literally always just ignored in favor of "cute puppy boytoy and big gruff captain" and... no.

I am sure there are people out there who give the pairing the dynamic it deserves but at least when I got into fandom and tried to find that, the overwhelming majority of the fan content just. didn't. hopefully it has changed.

(this is also coincidentally why I'm not into the remake Krauser/Leon because they have a similar type of dynamic and I am not into it. at all. them being so much more equals in the og backstory hits all the right notes for me while the new version alienates me further. but I digress.)

(I also find it gross how the day Piers died is somehow turned into a cutesy-wutesy pairing celebration day instead of acknowledging him as a person, acknowledging the massive sacrifice he made to save the entire damn world. it always just turns into "he saved Chris! <3" while sure he did but more importantly he did it for the future, like he says himself, and I think he deserves mad respect for that. basically it feels like the shippers don't let Piers exist as a person of his own, and he only has the right to exist as a half of a pairing. which. rude. literally pick any other damn day for the pairing. let Piers get the respect and memorial he deserves.)

but when it turns into ot3, when Leon is added into the mix, I find it way easier to deal with the whole dynamic because Leon changes it fundamentally. he doesn't work with either of them, and idk, he balances things out in multiple ways. so there I can get past the issues I have with Chris and Piers and just focus on what would undeniably be a fun dynamic if you only look at their personalities.

and i admit i am not immune to their argument in re6 lol when Chris pushes Piers against the wall my brain always chants "kiss kiss kiss kiss" even tho I'm legit not into the pairing :'D

They mutually agreed to pretend it had never happened and Volo continued on with his vacation plans without further interruptions.

No but for real, the dialog for how the ursaluna got there just implied to me, personally, that the species itself wasn't long extinct and he had made his way over before they were officially declared so, not that he was one left over from the same time pla took place. Whatever made him look kinda like a zombie likely did extend his life a bit, making him the last of his kind, but not that long. If it had been a zoroark or basculegion, or just an ursaluna that had lost its normal typing to a ghost one when it died, though, I could see it. I figure ghost Pokémon probably have the ability to live (or "live") longer than most others can on average.

tbh i'm just waiting for the next pokemon gen to announce like, "oh wow, it turns out ancient hisuian pokemon aren't extinct after all, look at this rediscovered population!" and/or just make them catchable in a modern timeline game without even commenting on it a la fairy types in remakes. purely so they can have some way to keep hisuian forms accessible as we get further from pla.

and honestly? given that a lot of them are actually reigon-locked evos of pokemon that are canonically still extant, they really wouldn't even need to justify it. like, petilil and rufflet are extirpated from modern sinnoh which is why there are no hisuian lilligant/braviary seen in games, you theoretically could obtain a hisuian form of most of these types simply by bringing them back to that habitat. ursaluna are vanishingly rare bc of an absence of peat due to climate changes and/or are simply very rare and always have been due to their exacting evo requirements (necessitating both a special item and a very specific period of the moon cycle) (they're not even catchable in the wild in pla which supports this idea). i think i've talked already abt my hc that you don't see kleavor anymore purely bc of the wider availability of metal coats, which is by far the preferred evo material for scyther. and then there's sneasel which—and i think i've talked about this before?—i hc as having simply evolved, in the more traditional sense of the word, into their modern form over time, as their habitat migrated northward into more snowy areas (pokemon evolution happening via slightly differing mechanics and on a faster scale than real-world evolution, due to the ability of pokemon biology to dynamically respond to its habitat, i'm stopping now.) the only one that i think is sincerely extinct is basculegion, given that white-striped basculin appear to have been hunted to extinction in modern times. but even that is like—white-striped could still just be much rarer, if the pokemon company decides to bring them back.

Now they are saying she's "expensive" as if remodeling parts of their home to make room for her as well as him, is a bad thing. Lol

They site a necklace whose origin is unknown. It could be A for Askepot. We don't know. Or he could have gotten her the A for himself. Either way it's cute.

As if she wasn't provided with equipment or couldn't afford her own equipment for the podcast? How do you know he bought her anything other than the shoes he said he did? Why do these haters think only his wallet is involved? How sexist.

As if remaking old clothes is somehow a "new" hobby of hers when they've been harping on the fact that she sold a bunch of her clothes before Paris 22, before they were officially together. Kinda like how Margrette (IMN) did last year as well, selling resown old clothes. *eyeroll* as if she, JM, didn't have these hobbies prior to ever meeting him. But She did have these hobbies prior to ever meeting him.  Maybe they're just fundamentally alike? They seem to go very well together. 💘

How is she manipulating his mom? That doesn't even make sense? His mom likes her, and she borrowed a book. Lol how is that manipulation? Haters make zero sense. At least they're not currently calling his mom a "pushy leech licking ass kisser" for the moment. Lol

Why shouldn't he make her a creative room for her hobbies? He has an office, why shouldn't she also have her own space inside of their home for creative works? I think that's very sweet! It's their home, meaning it's hers too. And why shouldn't they have a new kitchen? She likes to bake/cook, she's always been big on it. We don't know why they need a new kitchen, sometimes stoves break and need to be replaced. Personally it feels like when one appliance dies, two more will follow. It's happened to me too lol. As for bedroom, we've never heard anything like that but if so why not? Why not fix everything up now? Better to do it all at once and be done than drag it out. Gee Hirst is fixing up her place with her guy too.

Why is this in any way bad or that she's expensive? As if she can control the cost of any renovation or do they just want to act like she's costing too much money bc THEY are renovating THEIR space TOGETHER? As if it was just her decision and she's forcing him to do it? That's so ridiculous. 

If they're blessed with babies, then I'm sure they'll fix up a place for them as well in their home. Or maybe they've already started? 

All in all, sounds like a good boyfriend to me. And he's quite handy, helping fix the place up that's great imo! It's sweet that he's changing his space, more into their space. Bc it is her home now too. I mean this should be common sense stuff, but somehow haters act like normal things in a relationship aren't normal bc it's them. These haters make zero sense.

Haters are acting like Donald Trump when he makes baseless claims like "immigrants are eating pets." Lol only someone as equally ridiculous as him would believe such a claim.

Personally I'm glad he has a real, talented, beautiful, kind, successful woman as his partner. I think they're both lucky to have each other. 💕💕😊😊 I'm hoping lots of love, success and happiness for them both.

OKAY SO

I REALLY liked playing as Ada omg her moves are SO much fun. Seriously that grappling hook melee, I did it all the time I just could NOT get enough.

I played on assist mode bc I am NOT good at gaming lol but regardless I did have a good time and thankfully only died once at the beginning bc I wasn’t keeping an eye on my health. I also was like. Not playing right bc I chose never to get the rifle so when it came time for the chapter with the regeneradors I was like “nah no thanks I’ll just run” and run I did

Anyway ignoring me being a shit tier gamer, I did appreciate a lot of the story. You and I have some similar criticisms, Ada’s stupid ass heel boots, Wesker saving her (and putting her in a bed????) which was super out of character, cuz like narratively, there was no reason for that to happen, she could’ve just ran away to the next set piece but w/e.

I did like that her mission had absolutely nothing to do with Leon, I like how it showed how close she was to the action at certain times, I REALLY liked her boss fights with like El Gigante and the Verdugo and Saddler and how DIFFERENT they were compared to Leon’s fights, with obviously good reason, it was well done and a fun change of gameplay

Gotta say I was extremely let down by all the people who were like “Aw Ashley and Ada’s interaction was so good” cuz like girl what interaction? Once again the narrative insists that Ashley is only there to service Leon, she tells Ada “Leon needs help. Hurry!” and that’s it. They don’t exchange words, they don’t interact, Ashley is just being a good girl and worrying about our good boy protagonist yet again. I know the scene had a timer and this the scene couldn’t be too long but considering the sympathy Ada shows when she hears what’s happening to Ashley in that one scene, they could’ve given us SOMETHING. Maybe I’m too obsessed with Ashley and just expected more idk.

I liked Ada’s relationship with Luis, they work well as partners without compromising either of their characters (Ada is still willing to threaten Luis and always have the upper hand to get what she wants, and Luis is willing to extend a kind hand to Ada to help with her infection and ask for her assistance helping Leon and Ashley) and I liked the narrative they built with what Ada and Luis were up to that whole time we spent with Leon.

I hated the re5make teasing at the end, it felt inevitable but I still hated it, because gd dammit we already had too much of Wesker in this game (seriously what was he DOING on the island why did he need to be there in person the entire point of sending Ada there to do it was so she could be there risking her life to get the job done Wesker would never put himself at risk for a job like this) and obviously I’ve talked at length about how desperately I want a CV remake before any other games. Deadass in the cutscene when they showed Wesker had Krauser’s body I thought for a sec that it was supposed to be Steve’s body and it was a CV remake tease (since he does do that in CV) but obv that doesn’t make sense and it was meant to be Krauser but in my defense his body was under a blanket so sue me.

I thought that selling Leon’s jacket and Krauser’s beret were funny quests, as was killing the giant fish, I REALLY enjoyed the crossbow and flaming arrows, especially during the boss fights with El Gigante and Saddler, I liked the story structure I think it fits the narrative they crafted with re4make rlly well, I liked the characterizations (excluding the grief I already have with Wesker (speaking of Wesker that fascist ass line “the weak exist to serve the strong” like ohhhh my gd y’all cannot try to claim that this man isn’t a fascist holy shit)) I found Ada’s one liners to be really funny I liked it I really did like it

OH ALSO. The blue contact was stupid. Capcom rlly did it they gave blue eyes to everyone in RE4
