Intelligence Director Coats to resign next month, Trump says

Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats will leave his position next month, President Trump announced Sunday, capping a tumultuous relationship in which the two were often at odds over the wisdom of negotiating with Russia, the status of Iran’s nuclear weapons program and the severity of foreign threats to U.S. elections.

Trump said in a tweet that he would nominate Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Tex.), a third-term congressman and prominent supporter, to replace Coats.

The announcement comes just days after former special counsel Robert S. Mueller III warned that Russia will seek to interfere in U.S. elections in 2020 on Capitol Hill.

Ratcliffe launched a spirited defense of Trump at that hearing on Wednesday, grilling Mueller about why he hadprovided evidence of Trump’s possible obstruction of justice in his probe if, as Mueller wrote, he never intended to decide whether the president had committed a crime.

“You wrote 180 pages . . . about decisions that weren't reached, about potential crimes that weren't charged or decided,” Ratcliffe said, arguing that Mueller had deviated from normal prosecutorial standards and treated Trump unfairly.

In an appearance Sunday on Fox News, Ratcliffe characterized Mueller’s report as an untrustworthy document written by aides and lawyers for Hillary Clinton. The Justice Department is investigating the origins of the probe, which also examined possible coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign. Mueller’s report “identified numerous links between individuals with ties to the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump Campaign” but found that “the evidence was not sufficient to support criminal charges.”

Trump called Ratcliffe a “highly respected Congressman” who “will lead and inspire greatness for the Country he loves.” He thanked Coats “for his great service to our Country.”

For months, Coats had recognized that his relationship with Trump, which was never strong, had frayed beyond repair, according to a former senior intelligence official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive issue. Coats had felt isolated and excluded from important national security decision-making, the former official said.

Representatives for Coats did not respond to requests for comment.

In July 2018, while speaking at a national security conference in Aspen, Colo., the intelligence chief infuriated White House officials when he said that if the president had asked his advice, he would have told him not to meet privately with Russian President Vladimir Putin at their summit in Helsinki. The two leaders met with no American officials or Trump aides present.

Coats also did not hide his dismay when he learned, in the middle of an interview at the conference, that the White House had extended an invitation for Putin to visit Washington.

“That’s going to be special,” Coats said to the audience of a few hundred people, who laughed.

While in Helsinki, Trump sided with Putin against U.S. intelligence agencies, which unanimously concluded that Russian intelligence operatives and their proxies interfered in the 2016 presidential campaign, with the goal of helping Trump.

From the moment Trump nominated Coats in January 2017, he struck many current and former officials as more of a caretaker in the position, a former senator from Indiana and ambassador to Germany who had been coaxed out of anticipated retirement to take on one of the more challenging jobs in U.S. national security.

As director, Coats regularly attended the president’s daily intelligence briefing session, along with CIA Director Gina Haspel and a senior U.S. intelligence official. But many aspects of the day-to-day running of the intelligence community have fallen to Coats’s deputy, Sue Gordon, a career intelligence officer who has bipartisan support from Capitol Hill. While Ratcliffe awaits confirmation, Gordon probably would assume the duties of intelligence director on an acting basis.

Trump tweeted, “The Acting Director will be named shortly,” but he didn’t provide a name.

In a statement Sunday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said that he was “very sorry” to hear about Coats’ departure, adding that he has “devoted decades of his life in service to our country. I was reassured knowing that a man who took such a deliberate, thoughtful, and unbiased approach was at the helm of our intelligence community.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a statement: “The departure of DNI Coats is bad news for the security of America. As a Republican Senator from Indiana, a George W. Bush-appointed Ambassador to Germany and Director of National Intelligence, he was respected by those on both sides of the aisle as an American patriot.

“DNI Coats’ successor must put patriotism before politics, and remember that his oath is to protect the Constitution and the American people, not the President.”

There was concern from others on Capitol Hill that Trump could choose an acting director based more on loyalty than qualifications.

“If the president names anyone other than Gordon as the acting director, the Hill will raise holy hell,” a congressional official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive decision.

It is unclear whether Ratcliffe would be confirmed by the Senate. He has no background in intelligence, though he did serve as a terrorism prosecutor and the U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Texas in the George W. Bush administration. He also served as the mayor of Heath, Tex., a town of about 9,000 outside Dallas.

Intelligence directors have not always been career intelligence officers. But they have also not been such vocal political supporters of a president. Trump has repeatedly blasted the intelligence agencies as having tried to undermine his campaign and has, without evidence, accused former senior intelligence officials from the Obama administration of illegally spying on him.

Ratcliffe echoed those allegations on Fox News.

“What I do know as a former federal prosecutor is that it does appear that there were crimes committed during the Obama administration,” he said, declining to identify anyone by name.

Elaborating on his concerns, Ratcliffe said he wanted to know more about the interactions between a Justice Department official, Bruce Ohr, and Fusion GPS, the private investigation company that hired former British intelligence official Christopher Steele to conduct research into Trump and his possible connections to Russia.

Steele’s work has been a focal point of Republican critics of the Russia probe, including Ratcliffe, who say that the FBI improperly used it as a legal justification for beginning surveillance of a former Trump campaign aide.

Ratcliffe also queried Mueller about Steele’s research, but the former special counsel declined to comment because it is the subject of a Justice Department investigation.

“I want to find out if Russia interfered with our election by providing false information through sources to Christopher Steele about a Trump conspiracy that you determined didn’t exist,” Ratcliffe told Mueller.

Trump has given Attorney General William P. Barr unusual authority to investigate the intelligence agencies’ role in the probe of Russian election interference. Under an executive order, Barr is allowed to declassify intelligence about the probe and its origins. Some current and former intelligence officials have said they fear that could expose sensitive sources and methods or be used to distort the facts about how the probe began.

The Justice Department’s inspector general is also examining aspects of the Russia probe.

Ratcliffe told Fox News that he expected the investigations to determine whether anyone acted improperly or illegally.

In his confirmation process, senators probably will ask Ratcliffe about his views on Iran, North Korea, Russia and other global hotspots. As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, Ratcliffe has access to classified intelligence reports and assessments that are often contrary to what the president says publicly. Members will grill him on whose analysis he believes is true: Trump’s or the intelligence community’s, the congressional official said.

In a statement, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) echoed these points.

“It’s clear that Rep. Ratcliffe was selected because he exhibited blind loyalty to President Trump with his demagogic questioning of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller,” he said. “If Senate Republicans elevate such a partisan player to a position that requires intelligence expertise and non-partisanship, it would be a big mistake.”

Coats frequently stated views that contradicted Trump’s claims, which inflamed his relationship with a president who has long ridiculed intelligence agencies as inept and naive.

From the beginning of Coats’s tenure, he struck some observers as a risky choice. Coats was a well-known Russia hawk, which placed him on the same page as many in the intelligence community but put him at odds with a president who ran on a promise to bring the United States closer to Russia and who consistently rejected the notion that the Kremlin had sought to help him get elected.

In the Senate, Coats had called on the Obama administration to penalize Russia after it invaded Ukraine, and he co-sponsored a Senate resolution condemning Russia’s use of force to annex Crimea from Ukraine in 2014. Russian officials responded by placing Coats on a shortlist of Americans whose travel to Russia would be restricted.

“While I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to go on vacation with my family to Siberia this summer, I am honored to be on this list,” Coats tweeted in response.

In January, Coats further emphasized the distance between him and Trump on a range of key national security issues when he testified to Congress that North Korea was “unlikely to completely give up its nuclear weapons and production capabilities,” which the country’s leaders consider “critical to the regime’s survival.”

That assessment, which Coats said all intelligence agencies shared, undercut the president’s optimistic statements that a deal with North Korea was within reach, in large part thanks to the warm relationship Trump said he was forging with the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un.

Coats also shared the intelligence agencies’ assessment that Iran was still in compliance with an international agreement not to produce nuclear weapons, a deal the president pulled out of last fall.

And Coats warned that Russia probably would interfere in the 2020 presidential election, reprising its efforts to sow discord and distrust among American voters.

“We continue to see a pervasive messaging campaign by Russia to try to weaken and divide the United States,” Coats said at a White House briefing with reporters last August. “The President has specifically directed us to make the matter of election meddling and securing our election process a top priority.”

U.S. departments and agencies are working to secure the next election and counter Russian efforts. But their work is at odds with statements from Trump, who has sought to play down the threat and recently appeared to make light of Russia’s interference during a meeting with Putin last month during the Group of 20 summit in Japan.

Earlier this month, Coats created a new position in his office to oversee the intelligence community’s election security efforts.

Current and former intelligence officials said Coats would be remembered for accurately describing the intelligence agencies’ positions and speaking candidly about threats to the United States, even when it infuriated the president.

But some criticized him for not standing up to the president’s attacks on the intelligence agencies’ integrity, particularly when Trump accused officials of political bias and crimes.

“I think Coats was an honorable man unprepared to succeed in an unusual time,” said John Sipher, a former CIA officer who ran the agency’s operations in Russia. “I personally believe he failed to publicly defend the institutions under his care when it was clear that the commander in chief was off-base. He may well have spoke truth to power in private. but failing to publicly defend his workforce was a mistake.”

Chinese Money in the U.S. Dries Up as Trade War Drags On

WASHINGTON — Growing distrust between the United States and China has slowed the once steady flow of Chinese cash into America, with Chinese investment plummeting by nearly 90 percent since President Trump took office.

The falloff, which is being felt broadly across the economy, stems from tougher regulatory scrutiny in the United States and a less hospitable climate toward Chinese investment, as well Beijing’s tightened limits on foreign spending. It is affecting a range of industries including Silicon Valley start-ups, the Manhattan real estate market and state governments that spent years wooing Chinese investment, underscoring how the world’s two largest economies are beginning to decouple after years of increasing integration.

“The fact that the foreign direct investment has fallen so sharply is symbolic of how badly the economic relationship between the United States and China has deteriorated,” said Eswar Prasad, former head of the International Monetary Fund’s China division. “The U.S. doesn’t trust the Chinese, and China doesn’t trust the U.S.”

For years, Chinese investment into the United States had been accelerating, with money pouring into autos, tech, energy and agriculture and fueling new jobs in Michigan, South Carolina, Missouri, Texas and other states. As China’s economy boomed, state and local governments along with American companies looked to snap up some of those Chinese funds.

But Mr. Trump’s economic Cold War has helped reverse that trend.

Chinese foreign direct investment in the United States fell to $5.4 billion in 2018 from a peak of $46.5 billion in 2016, a drop of 88 percent, according to data from Rhodium Group, an economic research firm. Preliminary figures through April of this year, which account for investments by mainland Chinese companies, suggested only a modest uptick from last year, with transactions valued at $2.8 billion.

“I certainly hear in conversations with investors a lot of concern about whether the U.S. market is still open,” said Rod Hunter, a lawyer at Baker McKenzie who specializes in foreign investment reviews. “You have a potentially chilling effect for Chinese investors.”

A confluence of forces appear to be at play. A slowing economy and stricter capital controls in China have made it more difficult for Chinese investors to buy American, according to trade and mergers and acquisitions advisers. Mr. Trump’s penchant for imposing punishing tariffs on Chinese goods and an increasingly powerful regulatory group that is heavily scrutinizing foreign investment, particularly involving Chinese investors, have also spooked businesses in both countries.

China, which has retaliated against American goods with its own tariffs, may also be turning off the investment spigot as punishment for Mr. Trump’s economic crackdown.

Concerns about America’s receptiveness to Chinese investment have been aggravated by a flurry of transactions that collapsed under heavy scrutiny from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. The group, which is headed by the Treasury Department, gained expanded powers in 2018 that allow it to block a broader array of transactions, including minority stakes and investments in sensitive technologies like telecommunications and computing.

Shortly after the New Year, China’s HNA Group took a $41 million loss on a glass and aluminum Manhattan high-rise after American regulators forced it to sell the property because of security concerns about its proximity to Trump Tower, only a few blocks away.

In March, the Chinese owners of a gay dating app known as Grindr were told by regulators to find a buyer for the company. The Trump administration feared Beijing could use personal information as leverage over American officials.

Those interventions followed prominent cases earlier in Mr. Trump’s term, such as Broadcom’s quashed bid for Qualcomm and the sale of MoneyGram to a unit of the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba last year. An agreement involving Lattice Semiconductor and an investment firm with reported ties to the Chinese government was also rejected.

In some cases, the chill has benefited American companies. In June, UnitedHealth swooped in to buy PatientsLikeMe, a health care technology start-up, after the committee said it was a security risk to allow the company’s Chinese owner to have access to health data. The purchase amount was not disclosed.

But the increased scrutiny is also complicating efforts by American industries to team up with Chinese investors and leading to a retrenchment in certain sectors. The real estate sector, which has been buttressed by investors from China in the last decade, has had a steep falloff as relations sour and as Chinese officials clamp down on foreign real estate investment.

A May report from Cushman & Wakefield noted a “frenzy of disposal activity” among Chinese commercial real estate investors in the United States. In 2018, there were 37 property acquisitions by Chinese buyers worth $2.3 billion, but $3.1 billion of commercial real estate was sold off. The report said that the treatment of HNA and tough trade talk made Chinese investors feel unwelcome.

Chinese investors are also showing less appetite for residential real estate in the United States. Research released recently by the National Association of Realtors found that purchases of homes in America by Chinese buyers declined by 56 percent to $13.4 billion in the year to March.

“The magnitude of the decline is quite striking, implying less confidence in owning a property in the U.S.,” said Lawrence Yun, chief economist at the realtor’s group.

Despite the decline, China was still the top foreign buyer of American properties from April 2018 to March 2019.

The financial sector, including banks and private equity, is also feeling the effects. A fund that Goldman Sachs started with the China Investment Corporation in 2017 is being looked at closely by the Treasury Department, according to two Treasury officials. The fund, the China-US Industrial Cooperation Partnership, was set up to invest in American manufacturing and health care companies and then forge business ties in China.

A Goldman Sachs spokeswoman said that the bank was in compliance with all government regulations.

John Kabealo, a Washington-based lawyer who specializes in cross-border transactions, said that American private equity funds are now less likely to team up with foreign funds when making acquisitions because doing so could raise red flags.

“I think there’s a whole lot of concern in the fund world right now,” Mr. Kabealo said. “Funds still want to take Chinese money, but they’re being much more cautious in the way that they do it.”

Even if the two countries reach a trade deal, tepid Chinese investment is expected to continue. The administration is rolling out new barriers to investment, including controls on the types of American technology that can be sold overseas and placing Chinese firms like Huawei on a government blacklist.

The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, which previously only had the authority to review transactions in which a foreign investor took a controlling stake of an American business, is now reviewing a broader range of transactions, including joint ventures and smaller investments by foreigners in American businesses that make critical technology.

“There’s certainly a degree of hesitation in China in investing in the U.S.,” said Aimen Mir, the former assistant secretary for investment security at the Treasury Department who recently joined the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. “It’s hard to argue against the fact that these rules have clearly had some impact on Chinese investment.”

Weaker Chinese investment is unlikely to derail the United States economy, as it is a small fraction of that from Britain, Canada, Japan and Germany. China also continues to be largest buyer of United States Treasuries; however, its holdings have fallen in recent years to $1.1 trillion, according to the latest Treasury Department data.

But the decline in investment could hurt areas that are already economically disadvantaged and that have become dependent on Chinese cash. States like Michigan have increasingly wooed Chinese investment, resulting in new factories and jobs in a part of the country that has struggled to recover from the Great Recession.

Craig Allen, the president of the U.S.-China Business Council, said the loss of Chinese investment would be felt predominately in rural states where Chinese investors have bought factories and revived struggling businesses.

“The not-so-welcome mat is out, and it is having a deleterious effect on relatively poorer areas in the United States that need jobs,” he said.

“The Chinese hear from our state and local officials that they’re welcome,” Mr. Allen said. “What they’re hearing from federal officials is quite different.”

In Kentucky’s Ballard County, local officials are grateful that China’s Shanying International Holdings acquired a shuttered paper mill last year. In May, the mill reopened and filled many of the 300 jobs that had been lost.

Mayor Brandi Harless of Paducah, Ky., who traveled to China to meet executives of the company this year, said that it would be a shame if trade tensions hampered manufacturing investments in towns such as hers.

“Given our national conversation, I expected there to be some hesitancy,” Ms. Harless said. “But I haven’t heard anyone in our community be negative about this opportunity.”

These are minds I flow through as a telepathic schizophrenic with mental problems and I hear their prayers for freedom from their emotional problems and we need to save these people before they snap and kill others and themselves because of what happened to them. Personally I was so damaged I started to build emotional walls to just all the emotions I couldn’t handle and I became cold and detached to human emotion as I got older. In school which is your whole life when you’re antisocial that’s it like that’s all you have is the hours in the building, you’ll instead have trouble talking to people, because as you walk around outside your body the pieces of your soul where you escaped your skin in an assault and built a wall as a child with a child psyche these are carried with you and you’re on the other side of the wall. No matter what other people are going to see these moments in time and bring them to you so you can heal, this is what people mean when they say god loves everyone. Love is the energy that unites us all and brings us all together, and everyone will show these people it’s not so bad this is why youre sad when they travel to you in their dreams and when they walk around. Your dreams are when your spirit guides you during the day that’s why knowing how to find your higher self is crucial and remembering your dreams is a skill that needs to be practiced because dreams are the days you live. As you walk around a school though the ideas will be pressured onto them physically for being in school and surrounded by souls. I remember thinking passing period felt like an ocean and it was my favorite part of school and I also just hated every aspect of school because no matter what I did I couldn’t ever find the problem within myself that was causing me to be so emotionally unwell I couldn’t function at all in a social setting and I never knew why so I just kept smoking weed and usually draw to myself and just process how I felt somehow. like drawing to me is an emotional outlet and without it I don’t feel human people need to be taught to do that and the arts programs in most schools are the first to get budget cuts. In school sitting in the rooms walking around, its suffocating, it feels and looks like everyone’s perfect and emotionally well in your eyes every conversation near you you’re jealous of you feel like all your friends are fake and you should kys. For me it felt like no matter what I did I was the focus of every single person like everyone knew who I was because I colored my hair or looked different or something, no one really knew me but walking around was still really fucking stressful like just existing near people was draining, a lot of people online say this is an alright part of introversion and this is healthy but its really a calling to find something and most people respond with Netflix or video game additions. I tried to figure out what was wrong with me and I always landed on I’m an asshole and I cant handle a friendship because I’m too scared and depressed I like need too much? Other people land on its everyone else’s fault and no one gets or knows me, like I did too but I got suicidal and not dangerous. It always looks like everyone else has the perfect life and yours means nothing. Nothings real like nothing good in life for you anyway because your brain cannot accept any complete form of calm balanced love if you’re repressing rapes! Because you’re on the wrong side of the wall you need to know the truth! And there are lives dependent on it staying up and keeping you from using your whole soul and usually these kids are like needing the approval of everyone like their peers and idols and PARENTS which it stemmed from 10x more than a healthy person but they’ll never fully have because of the super unnatural abuse those people brought down on a human soul. This is a plague that haunts people every thought emotion and action and it ruins lives and souls so deeply, while these parents will say I provided for and loved and supported you the whole way I don’t understand why you’re failing school antisocial doing drugs plotting shootings or have a peaceful addiction to shooting people on your computer! I asked once why like what’s with the blanket diagnosis on everyone and a nurse told me these diagnosis are after the brief evaluation to make sure your insurance company accepts the visit and they can take you in and it can be changed later after more visits with the psych but it never does. And once you’re in there your there on a 3 day hold, this is the process in the USA is varies a little depending on where you are. When this 72 hour hold is up you are free to go or they ask you to sign yourself in voluntarily and if you don’t do that they can sign you in involuntarily. This hold can last up to 90 days legally, the longest ones I had were a month usually for refusing meds. You legally are allowed to refuse meds in the ward but if you refuse for enough days even if you prove you’re stable and recovering in this place where they see that 24/7 they will eventually get upset and your assigned psychiatrist will start the process of taking you to court to get a court ordered certification to get usually injections of antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, antidepressants, all these meds that hit the market out of thin air basically in the 50’s that are apparently the magic cures for everything. Many were tested on psych ward patients illegally before being released on the public. These are all proven to cause seizures, brain damage, muscle spasms, coma, and death. You’ll be in court as a psych ward patient in street clothes or blue paper disposable scrubs with an appointed attorney against a licensed practicing physician and you’re really not walking out of court without a certificate stating that you need to go to a nurse appointment and take these shots once a month or so for like 5 months or something. These pills all really destroy my third eye and connections to god. And the doctors you see after you leave the psych wards, they give the certificate to these doctors they assign to you if you didn’t already have any and these people can decide to extend the cert if they feel that you’re not cured. I had a heart condition from shot number one of invega sustenna in a ward I had a resting rate of 120bpm and I was sweaty scared and upset all day with SHALLOW BREATH! That shallow breath was so bad for me in 2018 I thought I was going to die and it was hard for me to let go and fall asleep I would rather stay up all night but I was tired from pacing all day in the hallways, I was on pills instead of a shot but it was a lot. My doctor immediately wanted to put me on the shot for refusing pills at first so I got an attorney involved and he stopped and just upped my dosage colossally even though I puked more than once. When an invega sustenna shot gave me the high resting rate resulting in them giving me an ekg they found that I had an irregular heart rhythm and THAT RESTING RATE, THE RYTHEM, MY SWEATING AND MENTAL STATE, MY PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT these were not valid reasons to discontinue this branch of injection stemming from the 50’s, no, they had more pills for all these problems and I was a fool for not wanting MORE PILLS TO TAKE!!! So you ever read those stories about the kids that “got help” for their mental problems? Well the psych ward is DESIGNED in a very specific way in the united states. You get in, given like 1 – 4 rx depending on your evaluation and they go up in dosage a lot while you’re there. You get 3 square meals a day while you’re in this controlled environment where they check your vitals every day and can and do monitor your mood and when you sleep and what you eat and how social you are and what youre up to. Like the ward is on a tight schedule to get you used to being on a regular schedule and its like eat group therapy physical therapy eat group therapy physical therapy eat sleep. But the groups are optional so a lot of people just sleep cause these pills make you feel wasted and stupid and drunk without any of the fun. This is how they can test new medications on you, the doctors push new meds and are known to be incentivized to prescribe new ones, no one leaves without at least one rx they’re expected to fill and legally required to if the leave on a cert. This is also a system where if that pill they prescribed kills you the doctor is never going to know about it and your doctor you see outside the hospital would probably write down that anything you become ill with or suffer from because of the pill can be solved with more pills because that is the only solution my doctor ever has and she gives out all sorts of pills to me! So I just never talk about my problems and how weed helped me through the hardest journey I have ever been on! I threw up a lot in my last ward stay and my psychiatrist responded by giving me a pill to stop the puking and UPPED THE DOSAGE OF ANTIPSYCHOTICS THAT MADE PUKE. You don’t get one on one therapy in the ward, that happens when you leave. You see a social worker for like 3 minutes maybe once a week who asks like, are you bathing? Eating? Sleeping? Excited to get out and use the internet again you lil bugger oh you and they pinch your cheeks and you’re like yea so I attempted suicide and no ones asked anything about what brought me here past that line they just ask like, are you suicidal today? And if you mark yes on your daily check in morning sheet and evening sheets they read, well, then they extend your stay until you start marking down your mood at 10/10 instead of like 4. I’m serious. That’s it. They don’t like ask about it they just keep you longer and they don’t say anything about it unless you’re like WHY AM I STILL HERE and they’ll say well were worried about you so were keeping you in the ward with no internet or therapy past groups. If you’re in the ICU group therapy is like, here’s the food pyramid and in the less intense wards it’s like here’s something motivational or ways to cope with depression. They do teach real life skills and there is help in a psych ward like there is help but YOURE NOT GOING TO BE IN ANY SORT OF MENTAL SHAPE TO ACCEPT IT because no one will talk to you about your problems other than other patients and everyone would rather play like uno or do a coloring page. You have to keep talking to your fans and keep ideas current and helpful because everyone else will spread ideas that make them think they are being educated when they are being mislead and the honest creators usually make art thats more on the entertainment end to escape all the troubles everyone has, we absolutely have to talk about everything were going through as a society now more than ever while were still able to talk about it an spread these messages. governments all around the world are shutting down communications and making it harder for ideas to spread.
