Timeline 

Age 0

Born to the only child to Kai and Izumi Sakuma in Naha, Okinawa. 

Age 1

His grandparents, Toumo and Chinatsu Sakuma from his father's side while Kosei and Ran Nagata from his mother’s side, visiting Naha to see their grandchild for the first time.

They stayed at their homes to spend time with the Sakuma family only for every summer.

Age 3

His parents’ took him for swimming lessons when he was just a toddler. The lesson brings him to enjoy the water.

At home, he spent longer in the bathtub after discovering his first love for swimming.

He cries a lot whenever his parents try to pull him out from there.

His mother bought a dolphin stuffed toy to calm him down, which surprisingly works.

Age 6

His mother and father received a call from their grandparents that their homes were demolished due to the heavy storm in Toyama.

They thought about staying at their place permanently and the parents’ agreed to it.

His grandparents arrived in Naha 5 months after.

This is the first time he saw his grandparents but he was very shy around them. On the other hand, they were pleased to see him again for a long time. 

Later on, his parents weren’t around with him at the house because of their busy work. Instead, his grandparents were there for him throughout his life.

They made a special bond together. 

Age 7

Two of his grandfathers made a partnership to start their own business of a fish market.

Usually went to his father’s fishing boat to watch him work by catching loads of fishes. 

He wants to try catching fish by himself.

Caught the biggest fish on his 30th tries and his dad was proud of him.

His father told him tales about sea monsters. He actually believed them and wanted to see one in person.

They had an idea to hunt for it just for fun but in disappointment, they never found any.

Age 10

His grandparents, Kosei and Ran, brought him to the aquarium where his mother works to watch the dolphin show. 

While waiting for the show to start, he looked around the area to see all the different fishes in the aquarium and was fascinated by it.

Age 12

Begin middle school.

He was a bit anxious about meeting his new classmates but Kyo managed to  make friends in his class.

He connects with at least 4 people in his class by finding a bridge in love for swimming and making up their group named GO FISH.

There wasn’t any problem with his academics, although he often got himself into a lot of trouble by the teacher for skipping class to sneak into the school’s pool even when it wasn’t their class time yet.

Haven’t gone fishing with his dad for a long time so he thought about inviting him, along with his grandfathers, to go fishing together. 

They spent a really good time on the fishing boat, chilling.

Age 13

On his 13th birthday, Kyo invites his buddies to celebrate at his home.

He invites them to the beach once they finish eating the birthday cake. They were exploring a rocky tide pool area just to fool around playing adventures. 

Right in the middle of the afternoon, his friends thought it was time to go home but Kyo persuaded them to stay a little longer as he was having fun. His friends were reluctant to say no to him so they continued playing. 

Then a sudden wave swept the kids off their feet. Most of them managed to grab hold of a jagged rock, while Kyo was also holding onto the rock with one arm and his friend’s arm with the other. However, they were caught in the surge and his friend got struck in the head. Blood mixed with seawater as Kyo struggled to keep his friend afloat until the ambulance arrived.  

They heard good news from the surgeon that their friend survived but Kyo was left traumatized with blood and is blaming himself for hurting his friend.

The injury had such a huge impact on Kyo that he couldn’t bear the guilt stemming from his childish selfishness so he decided to distance himself from his friends to prevent from getting hurt in the future.

He is also going to prioritize coping with his trauma, first. After a few weeks, the GO FISH drifted apart.

Age 15

2 years passed, he frequently made an appointment with the doctor to recuperate his trauma but until now, he wasn’t able to get over it.

The doctor suggests he could try something new for a change that would help him recover.

On his 15th birthday, Kyo doesn’t feel like celebrating his birthday. Instead, he focuses on finding a new activity that his doctor recommended but none of them interest him.

He saw a surfer at the beach and watched them riding the waves from a distance. The surfer noticed and asked if he was interested. Since he had nothing to do at the moment, he was curious to learn about surfing.

He was taught about surfing and jet skiing by that surfer. They become somewhat friends and Kyo often visits their place after school.

Thanks to that, surfing has now become his favorite hobby. He threw himself into activities that kept him close to the ocean but far from the danger he associated with blood. Because of this, he was slowly forgetting about his past trauma.

Age 16

Starts high school

He was approached by many students and ended up having a lot of friends again. 

He somehow became popular due to his handsome looks and sociable nature. Many of the girls were falling for him, although he was clueless about their affection.

A girl from a different class confessed to Kyo and he gladly accepted her feelings although it was a friendzone situation so she thought that she had been rejected.

Joins the swimming club.

Participated in every swimming competition and won 1st place.

Age 17

Kyo was invited by his friends to watch a kabuki play.

He meets Naoki Hamasaki and was intrigued by the performance that he wanted to ask for his autograph while Naoki was captivated by his looks.

They’ve been seeing each other from time to time and he enjoys hanging out with Naoki so they’ve been acquaintances for a while.

He then visits the surfer’s place to inform them that he graduated but then, he saw the surfer packing their furniture to move out to Tokyo city because of the promotion they got. It was sad that they had to leave.

After his lifeguard friend left, he was inspired to become like them so he started to take the training course.

Age 18

He learns to enhance his swimming skills, water safety skills, first aid, and CPR/AED along the way.

Graduated in high school.

Age 19

Successfully passed a 2-year training course.

Becomes a lifeguard and starts his first day of his job.

Age 20

When he was on an afternoon stroll, he bumped into a person (which he unknowingly knew was a burglar) and gives him the valuables and runs away from the cops.

The cops found Kyo but they mistakenly apprehended him to be the suspect of burglary. 

He met Ryuunosuke Sekiguchi during the interrogation. Both of them shared the same goal of capturing the real culprit and they decided to help each other out of their predicament.

They were able to catch the burglar and they quickly became friends.

Age 22-present

Had a pretty peaceful life without any problems except having a loving family, his job, and lots of fangirls.

Helps Ryuunosuke to look for a third member for the team and recommended Naoki Hamasaki.

Willingly accepts Ryuunosuke’s offer to participate in the Division Rap Battle as a 2nd member of Wild Shīnu.

Video game I saw in a dream. It was in this low poly style like an older video game. You play as this character I think was meant to be a lamb, or maybe a weird mix of a lamb a mouse and a rabbit, (while not really looking like any of those things) and you’re running away from a wolf. Your objective is to last as long as possible before the wolf catches and eats you.

The house you’re running in is endless and bizarrely put together like most building interiors in dreams are (like the infinite toilet dream dimension on Reddit lol) the layout of the house is pretty detailed, you can stop and hide in places like closets or bins while the wolf looks for you, you can go up and down stairs and into rooms etc.

You never actually know where the wolf is or how close it is to you until it appears in your line of sight, it makes no noise and the game gives you no way of knowing where it is, and it’s pretty unpredictable it doesnt move at a consistent pace. When the wolf catches you there’s an animation showing it eating your character

Timeline 

Age 0

Born to the eldest son of Suto and Kiyomi Hamasaki in Nishihara, Okinawa. 

It was by accident and it wasn’t their plan to have a child but thankfully, both of them are mature enough to decide to take responsibility.

His father and mother were part of the small-time theater troupe and had been traveling around Okinawa then eventually all around the region of Japan while raising their son.

Age 2

His parents left their old troupe and started a new life together. 

They settled in Chuo City and established their "Hamasaki Theater”.

His mother’s popularity skyrocketed due to her beauty and acting as she received the most awards for being the best stage actress.

Hamasaki Theater has become the second most famous besides its rival Kabukiza Theater.

Age 4

His younger sister, Aimi Hamasaki was born. 

The first time he saw Aimi, Naoki couldn’t contain his adoration for her cuteness, doting her endlessly like a doll which caused her to cry a lot.

Age 7

Attends elementary school.

On his 7th birthday, one of his relatives gave him a gift. Although they accidentally bought him a cute dress he graciously accepted it.

After months of spending time with his mother and sister, his preferences shifted to liking cute things such as dolls, girl clothes, makeup, and accessories.

He finally wore the dress that his relatives bought for him and is confident to wear it at school.

He was a kind and sociable kid who easily made friends with girls because of their shared interest in cute things. However, he often found himself being teased by a group of boys for spending more time with the girls than with them, especially wearing a dress.

Goes home in a crying mess. His parents found him as they tried comforting him with reassurance and love. They stayed in silence while hugging him. 

Age 9

He watches his mother’s practice behind the stage.

Admiring his mother's elegance and skills, he started to take an interest in acting and dreamed of becoming like her someday. 

Whatever there was a chance, he took his mother’s script and secretly acted in his mother’s role.

Learn to play traditional instruments such as shamisen and koto. 

His mother teaches him acting and singing, as well.

He and his father were having a father-son bonding to watch a kabuki theater together and they were amazed by the stage, costumes, and performance.

Age 10

To protect himself from getting bullied in the future, he learns to be manly (also with the help of his father) so that he can prepare to defend himself, regardless of his girlish preference.

Age 12

Starts middle school.

Worried that he would get bullied again on his first day, he reminded himself that he had to mingle with both sides equally so nothing would go wrong during his high school life. 

He meets and befriends Jakurai Jinguji and Hitoya Amaguni (they’re two years level apart so he considers them to be his upperclassmen).

He became popular for his beautiful looks and kind personality, earning the title Most Beautiful and Delicate Student, in the end. 

This is where it all began when Naoki was frequently mistaken for a girl by most of the students.

Age 16

Attends the same high school with Jakurai Jinguji and Hitoya Amaguni.

He also became popular here and yet, got the impression by others that he was mistakenly a girl.

He then meets a handsome foreign exchange student who’s in the same class as him, Yuki Kuraokami although it’s difficult to befriend him as this albino fellow gives a distant cold shoulder.

None of them had spoken to each other at first but he and Yuki were slowly getting to know each other then eventually, they finally became buddies.

He joins a Drama Club.

Develops a crush on a 2nd-year student but it is only one-sided, knowing his crush wouldn’t reciprocate his feelings and give up on that person. 

Receives a confession from a boy in another class but when Naoki reveals his gender, the boy apologizes and leaves.

Feeling disappointed with his first confession, he gives up on love and forces himself to focus on his dream. 

Age 17

Due to his beautiful appearance and increased popularity, most people with inappropriate intentions often ask him out and even if he rejects, they sometimes would force themselves on him. Luckily, he does know how to defend himself.

Naoki spotted a girl with a suspicious man about to be sexually harassed and for the first time, he leaps into action to save her from a suspicious man and then beats him up. In the end, the suspicious man is defeated and calls the police.

Saving any girl's life and preserving her innocence was worthwhile and that experience led him to reflect on his heroic actions. Giving him the confidence to be himself, show off in fashionable clothes, and stand up for others.

Age 19

After graduating from high school last year, he and Yuki went their separate ways.

His parents and the troupe were celebrating the anniversary of the creation of Hamasaki Theater and its few years of success. His father wanted to look for a new location to establish their second theater and thought of an idea to be in Okinawa but it meant to say that the whole family had to move to Okinawa for his father to take over there.

The whole family moved to Naha City and there, he studied at a university in Performing Arts.

Age 22

While he was studying, the troupe from the Hamasaki Theater decided to quit due to the protest of their salary pay as his father had trouble balancing revenues between the two theaters he owned, resulting in running out of business.

Naoki was saddened by the news. While his family was forced to move back to Chuo City to live with their relatives, he had to remain in Naha to pursue his dream career.

Age 25

Graduates in university.

He works at the recently famous kabuki theater called Sunset Hibiscus. 

He took various roles but mainly onnagata roles and received lots of praise from huge spectators.

He met Kyō Sakuma after the show as he wanted to ask for his autograph. Curious but mostly captivated by his charming looks, he befriends him.

They’ve been meeting occasionally and he enjoys spending time with Kyo so they've remained acquaintances.

He received a call from Aimi saying that their mother had suddenly collapsed, prompting him to rush to Chuo City.

His mother was diagnosed with an illness within her heart and had to be hospitalized. 

He, Aimi, and his father visit their mother in the hospital once a week.

Several months later, his mother passed away.

Her death took a toll on him mentally. Naoki was feeling depressed and not willing to attend rehearsals for several months.

Eventually, he recovers emotionally and returns to work but despite feeling better, he remains haunted by his mother’s death.

Age 27

His father moves on and meets Umi Kyoko, a waitress who works at the restaurant and they start dating.

Seto invites Naoki and Aimi to his place to introduce his newfound lover to them.

Aimi was happy for him but as for Naoki… He wasn't pleased with how quickly his father found someone new to replace his late mother. They began to quarrel. He felt disappointed but angry towards him; he couldn’t accept their relationship and wanted nothing to do with them.

He hasn’t talked to his father for a long time.

Over time, Umi visits him at his home and they have a long, heartfelt conversation. She expresses her genuine love for his father and respect for his late mother, explaining how much she cares for their family, including him. She also urges him to apologize and reconcile with his father. After their talk, he begins to accept her, realizing she isn’t a bad person after all.

He takes Umi’s advice and rekindles with his father. 

Everything went back to normal. He also developed a close bond with Umi and they started to get along very well. 

Age 30-present 

He continued his career and became a successful kabuki actor.

He once again meets Kyō Sakuma then for the first time, Ryuunosuke Sekiguchi.

Ryuunosuke invites him to join his team but he immediately declines as he isn’t interested in rap battling due to its inherent conflicts.

With much persuasion, Naoki finally accepts his offer to participate in the Division Rap Battle as a 3rd member of Wild Shīnu.
