I also feel like all the terrible things Allison did in season 3 to get Claire back, in terms of like eroding her own morals and ethics, should have been held up as a mirror to Reginald doing the same for Abigail to actually make the theme hit.
Like that conversation on the bench between Reginald and Abigail feels like it's meant to be the central thesis of the show, and it kind of is - some things cannot be fixed, they cannot be undone, and by trying to do so all you are going to do is damage yourself and others further.
But because Abigail kind of only exists on screen for a grand total of 5 minutes (and no I do not count her scenes wearing Sy) there is no real impact because we don't see any emotional reactions from her or about her. We don't see Reginals actions being motivated by her loss because we never really get to know him as character, he's only a plot device.
It's my problem all over with this season - the plot is there, but there is no emotional resonance. In season 1 we felt Viktor's simmering rage, Allison's regret, Luthors isolation and so on. Ben's true death, Allison's expiriences fighting for civil rights, and Klaus's scenes with Dave in Season 2 hurt. Even season 3 has it's moments. But in this season what should be big emotional moments just....dissapate into nothing because none of the characters have any sort of true emotional reaction to them, so they have no impact.
Like we can look at the seperate pieces of the story and see what they wanted to do with a storyline about cycles of abuse and regret, they wanted to do a story about emotion, but it rings hollow this season because outside of the worlds most hateful love triangle, nothing is actually dealt with emotionally
#Raymond walked out and we get...nothing#they never found Sloane and it's just...fine#Klaus raids Allison's house to pawn valubles for drug money and we just get Claire telling Allison not to bother finding him#Ben is activly mutating into a Kaiju and the siblings are reliving his death and its JUST PLOT#Abigail is ready to destroy the world to reverse the damage Reginald did because he missed her so much and its just...a chat on a bench#the ONE proper emotional scene we get is Viktor yelling at Reginald and tbh I feel like we have seen that exact scene before#tua#the umbrella academy#tua season 4#tua s4#tua spoilers#tua s4 spoilers#the umbrella academy spoilers

So since I predicted that Sloane and Luther would get together from the day she was announced as well as a couple of scenes- I feel obligated to share w y'all my batshit crazy idea of what I thought might happen in season 4 and like now that we have TWO trailers why I think it might happen. In other words-
Me being delulu about tua s4 and y'all gotta deal w it
So my initial thought was that in this new timeline they are themselves slotted into lives they don't initially remember, that the longer they dwell in the timeline the more they remember and some come to accept. Up until the inevitable happens and the world is at risk again for whatever reason. However, saving the world means giving up these perfect lives for accepting their shitty dysfunctional reality to save each other. Because the more they stay and accept the more they lose of previous timelines.
I was gonna write a fanfic but then my resident evil obsession started and if y'all have read any of my fanfic y'all know my history with long-fics.
Why do I now think this could actually be the case you ask?
At the end of season 3 Luther takes off after our girl Sloane with Klaus following but everyone else is just so calm. Soooo which leads us to
Trailer 1
Viktor might own or work in a bar. Which the fact that he seems to be somewhat settled for sure tells us that some time has possibly passed between season 3 and 4
The sign says "home for wayward boys" implying that Allison may not have been in the group and maybe neither Viktor before the transition. I'm also wondering if now that his wife is back maybe in this new timeline they both fostered/adopted our main characters.
Oh yeah did I mention Reginald's moon wife is alive? His whole thing with the children was his alien (literally) way to save her. Now she's alive.
Allison is with claire so she also possibly has her life back.
Ben is getting out of jail and like it could be a "time has passed between seasons" thing or something happens in one of the episodes where he winds up locked up.
Diego is at a kid's party and either has his own kid or a niece or something. it's not claire and the family behind him is not his umbrella fam.
MY BOY IS SO SMALL ITS GONNA BE SO WEIRD SEEING HIM "NORMAL" THIS SEASON also he looks kinda sad. trailer two debunks what I initially thought of his reveal in this trailer because I thought oh haha what if it's a Halloween costume but like we'll get to my season 2 crazies hang in there.
Klaus is upside down in an interior (proven by the radiator) so he is either stuck, meditating, in a trance, or it's Sloane holding him there. I also kinda wonder if he's going through a clean streak or something OCD like with his addictions from the whole blue gloves thing. tbh i saw those in the promo and thought it was blue screen and his hands were gonna be effed up lol.
ben shouts "lets go kill this bitch" and allison corrects "this is a rescue mission" sooooooo is reginal and or his wife the bitch in question? and like sloane is the only one missing from our group so maybe she's the one being rescued? or maybe one of the new characters (like gene and jean).
which brings me to a theory I'll get to after my trailer break down and before the second breakdown.
side bar but the xmen stile jet is great lol
the subway is 100% a metaphor for the timelines AND that house diego and luther are at is the one from season two where they see reggie and grace at that party
the mind thingies in the blue room are so fucked up and i cant tell if thats sloane or wife hargreeves or a grace return in the bg but im wondering if it connects them to other timelines? Im wondering if the woman is sloane bc abigail has such curly hair but it does remind me of grace so idk.
upside down umbrella is insane okay
starting to think the jet might be flashbacks
A SPACE SUIT HAND REACHES INTO A RED FORCE SOMETHING FOR ANOTHER HAND AND SLOANE MAYBE????
fuck organization if you have read this far welcome to my brain- anyway- theory is that her place got swapped for abigail hargreeves' on the moon and now our beloved moon boy has to save her from that place. so symbolic.
now i was half put down a few shots later when we see victor emit a similar color power later but trailer 2 kinda backs some stuff up.
so trailer 2
opens with ben alone and confused and vicktor calls ben at the phone booth leading me to 100% believe they have split up again and have to find each other. very nostalgic of season 1 and 2
"there's something happening to you and it's only gonna get worse" so this is either about just ben OR its about all of them. either way ben did look confused so his eldritch horrors are either hulking out or he's losing memory chunks like my theory suggests. but it might revolve around ben bc vicktor specifically says "you" in the next time about the world ending.
(wondering if luther nervous farted in the car lmao)
Gene and Jean are possibly conspiracy theorists or agents posing as them but its interesting they are bringing attention to the altered timelines.
okay yeah world ending revolves around ben im tired okay and not proofing this you're stuck with my ramblings
the white violin is for sure abi hargreeves no doubt it doesn't look like sloane and plus the violin viktor got was bc reggie gave it to him that he got from his wife before she died okay. fanfic rn where viktor is the chosen child fanfic rn where abi loves all the kids fanfic rn where shes alive but shes just as much of a dick and we could have an epic trans story for viktor and expectations and yeah anyway-
whoever said it was jenny in trailer two i wanna kiss u on the lips ur prolly right and i love you for it
"ben died because we failed as a team" "and-" "and what" FOLLOWED BY LUTHERS CONFUSED FACE LEADS ME TO ONE OF TWO THINGS AND YOU ALREADY KNOW ONE OF THEM memory loss my beloved or something shocking occurs to him or like he seems something idk
more blue room stuff and uh maybe its not mind stuff maybe its power stimulation like what if they dont have their powers but ben does idk.
who TF is klaus digging up
OH GUYS NO I THINK LUTHER IS A MALE DANCER THATS WHAT THE SPACE SUIT IS IDK WTF IS THIS SHOW I LOVE IT
anyway they keep showing that one scene and like idk im delulu about sloane im so tired and i am not ready for this show to end in 8 days im sobbing y'all

Also this one isn't in the ask game but I wanna know who you'd get to play your characters if there was a movie and you could pick any actors
Oh gosh, I'm so bad with faces. Um. If their current age doesn't matter (because I always think of actors from productions that have been out for several years)...
Ceph: Corbin Bleu
Viktor: Colton Haynes
Marion: Laura Leighton
Regine: Danai Gurira
Iain: not an actor, but Andrew Smyth from The Great British Bake Off was the visual inspiration for the character:
If I think of any more, I'll add them!

When do you think Yuuri truly fell in love with Viktor? Like when did he go from loving him as his idol to falling in love with Viktor as himself.
HiNonny! Thanks for your question :)
Theshort answer would be: He started to develop feelings after the beach talk in ep. 4, and fell more in love with the passing time (summer of mutualpining etc.).
Here’swhy I think so:
First, the time frame: Ep1: end of March to beginning of April
Ep2 & 3: April (Victor travels to Hasetsu, they have about aweek together or so, then Yurio arrives, the whole Onsen on Icepractice, preparations, and show-off)
Ep 4: beginning ofMay (phone screen in the beginning of the episode tells us this)until approximately the end of June (GP assignments go public).
BetweenEp 4 & 5: July, August and half of September or so.
Ep 5: Chu-Shikoku-Kyushu Reginal Qualifier which took place from 22-25 of September 2016 (if we use the confirmed information that YOI took place in the 2016/17 FS season).
Between EP 5 & 6: October
Ep6 & 7: CoC. We know that the Cupof China was the 3rd GP event in the YOI universe, which with the2016 time frame means it took place November 4-6.
(Thistime line is the result of a group discussion from the WWV chat froma few months ago)
Yuuriand Victor have very little interaction in the first episode, andwhen Victor arrives in Hasetsu, we learn just howstar-struck Yuuri is. I’dsay it takes about a week until Yurio arrives, and that week isn’tnearly enough to get Yuuri comfortable enough around Victor to trulyget to know him (which might also be because of Victor’s flirtingattempts that make Yuuri skittish and avoidant). While Yurio isaround Yuuri suddenly has to “fight” for Victor to stay and coachhim, and his own skating career and practice take the main focus.
Duringthat time Victor is clearly the coach (while still trying to flirtwith Yuuri whenever he can) and Yuuri still has him on that pedestalhe’s put Victor on for years. After winning Onsen on Ice andsecuring Victor as his coach, and without having to share Victor’sattention with Yurio they really get the chance to getto knoweachotheron a more personal level.
Theyhave the talk at the beach during ep 4, and I really think that fromthen on Victor made an effort to be who he really isinstead of trying to play roleswhen he’s around Yuuri, and inturn Yuuristarted to open up to him as a person. Nowthey have the foundation to build a personal relationship aside fromthe student-teacher one. And indeed: at the end of ep 4 when theassignments for the GP come out Yuuri seems a lot more comfortablewith Victor’s physical closeness, andalso how he looks at Victor.(Side-note:Yuuri’shigh admiration for Victor as “the king of skating” might havemade it easier for him to deny that he started to fall in love withVictor the person, which would just mean that he took a bit longer toacknowledge his ownfeelings—ifthat was an issue/doubt of him at all.)
Thenfollows the huge time gap of the “summer of mutual pining” wherethe only content we have are a few pictures in the end credits.Regarding the following development of their relationship Ipersonally HC them having their first kiss and getting together inbetween ep 5 & 6, which I coincidentally wrote a fic about :’D
Hope this helps! :)

𝐕𝐈𝐊𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐒 The Umbrella Academy
Full name: Viktor Hargreeves
Alias: number Seven
Parents: Tatiana (birth mother, deceased), Sir Reginald Hargreeves (adoptive father, deceased), Grace (adoptive mother, deceased), Pogo (caretaker, deceased)
Siblings: Luther (adoptive brother), Diego (adoptive brother), Five (adoptive brother), Allison (adoptive sister), Klaus (adoptive brother), Ben (adoptive brother, deceased)
Date of Birth: October 1st, 1989
Age: 33 years old
Gender: Male (trans)
Sexuality: bisexual
Important disclaimer: I will write Viktor from season 1 to 3, meaning that when I write his season 1 and 2 verses, I will refer to him as Vanya and use she/her pronouns, as he hadn’t transitioned yet. Same thing if I write his childhood at the Academy. When I write him in season 3 and onward, I will use Viktor and he/him.
Viktor is part of the Umbrella Academy, adopted and “raised” by Sir Reginal Hargreeves after his unusual birth on the first of October, 1989. If his siblings were all trained to become superheroes, Viktor was raised to believe he had no powers and was excluded from his siblings’ activities. He was in fact so powerful (and hard to control) that his father hid his powers from him (using Allison’s abilities).
He grew up isolated from his siblings, and after leaving the Academy, wrote a book about his life and his family. This further alienated him from the family.
After discovering his powers and the truth (not long after Reginald’s death), the situation only gets more complicated (between his new boyfriend abusing his trust and his siblings locking him up), and Viktor causes the apocalypse.
Five’s attempt at sending them back in time to stop the apocalypse sends everyone in the 60s, where an amnesic Viktor will meet and fall in love with Sissy. He lives with her, her absent husband and her son, Harlan. He grows so attached to Harlan that after attempting to save his life he transfers a bit of his powers into the boy.
After Sissy’s husband finds out about Viktor and Sissy’s plan to run away together, Viktor is taken by the FBI where he is believed to be KGB. After the long hours of torture they inflict on him, Viktor loses control of his powers, threatening to yet again cause the apocalypse. Thankfully, the apocalypse doesn’t happen this time. Five sends them back to their seemingly proper timeline, only to find that the timeline has changed.
Thanks to Sissy, Viktor realizes who he truly is, and transitions with the support of his siblings.

“I reserved the computer lab for the next few hours.” She doesn’t shift her attention from the glowing desktop screen to the person entering behind her. “And yes, I can hear you.” Which isn’t a feat considering the weighted door creaks when it swings back. She didn’t take any encryption courses this semester and hadn’t realized how much she’d miss it until it was too late. Sighing and spinning in her chair to see Viktor, her initial irritation softens just the slightest. She sort of feels like she owes him one. Hates that.“Hey.” She didn’t peg him as an encryption major, but the labs are open to regular students during certain hours. “Guess we’re both bad at being inconspicuous.” It’s a joke but she barely laughs, offering him a thin smile instead. This is her being friendly! @viktcr

Historical setting
The concept of a divine assembly (or council) is attested in the archaic Sumerian, Akkadian, Old Babylonian, Ancient Egyptian, Babylonian, Caananite, Israelite, Celtic, Ancient Greek and Ancient Roman and Nordic pantheons. Ancient Egyptian literature reveals the existence of a "synod of the gods". Some of our most complete descriptions of the activities of the divine assembly are found in the literature from Mesopotamia. Their assembly of the gods, headed by the high god Anu, would meet to address various concerns.[1] The term used in Sumerianto describe this concept was Ukkin, and in later Akkadian and Aramaic was puhru.[2]
Archaic Sumerian
One of the first records of a divine council appears in the Lament for Ur, where the pantheon of Annunaki is led by An with Ninhursag and Enlilalso appearing as prominent members.[3]
Akkadian
The divine council is led by Anu, Ninlil and Enlil.[4]
Old Babylonian
In the Old Babylonian pantheon, Samas (or Shamash) and Adad chair the meetings of the divine council.[4]
Ancient Egyptian
The leader of the Ancient Egyptian pantheon is considered to either be Thoth or Ra, who were known to hold meetings at Heliopolis (On).[5][6]
Babylonian
Marduk appears in the Babylonian Enûma Eliš as presiding over a divine council, deciding fates and dispensing divine justice.[7]
Caananite
Texts from Ugarit give a detailed description of the structure of the divine council, where El and Ba'al are presiding gods.[8]
Hebrew
The Council of Gods, Giovanni Lanfranco (1582–1647), Galleria Borghese
Loggia di Psiche, ceiling fresco by Raffael and his school (The Council of The Gods), Villa Farnesina, Rome, Italy, by Alexander Z., 2006-01-02
In the Hebrew Bible, there are multiple descriptions of Yahweh presiding over a great assembly of Heavenly Hosts. Some interpret these assemblies as examples of Divine Council:
"The Old Testament description of the 'divine assembly' all suggest that this metaphor for the organization of the divine world was consistent with that of Mesopotamia and Canaan. One difference, however, should be noted. In the Old Testament, the identities of the members of the assembly are far more obscure than those found in other descriptions of these groups, as in their polytheisticenvironment. Israelite writers sought to express both the uniqueness and the superiority of their God Yahweh."[1]
The Book of Psalms (Psalm 82:1), states "God (אֱלֹהִ֔ים elohim) stands in the divine assembly (בַּעֲדַת-אֵל ); He judges among the gods (אֱלֹהִ֔ים elohim)" (אֱלֹהִים נִצָּב בַּעֲדַת־אֵל בְּקֶרֶב אֱלֹהִים יִשְׁפֹּט). The meaning of the two occurrences of "elohim" has been debated by scholars, with some suggesting both words refer to YHWH, while others propose that God rules over a divine assembly of other Gods or angels.[9] Some translations of the passage render "God (elohim) stands in the congregation of the mighty to judge the heart as God (elohim)"[10] (the Hebrew is "beqerev elohim", "in the midst of gods", and the word "qerev" if it were in the plural would mean "internal organs"[11]). Later in this Psalm, the word "gods" is used (in the KJV): Psalm 82:6 - "I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High." Instead of "gods", another version has "godlike beings",[12] but here again, the word is elohim/elohiym (Strong's H430).[13] This passage is quoted in the New Testament in John 10:34.[14]
In the Books of Kings (1 Kings 22:19), the prophet Micaiah has a vision of Yahweh seated among "the whole host of heaven" standing on his right and on his left. He asks who will go entice Ahab and a spirit volunteers. This has been interpreted as an example of a divine council.
The first two chapters of the Book of Job describe the "Sons of God" assembling in the presence of Yahweh. Like "multitudes of heaven", the term "Sons of God" defies certain interpretation. This assembly has been interpreted by some as another example of divine council. Others translate "Sons of God" as "angels", and thus argue this is not a divine council because angels are God's creation and not deities.
"The role of the divine assembly as a conceptual part of the background of Hebrew prophecy is clearly displayed in two descriptions of prophetic involvement in the heavenly council. In 1 Kings 22:19-23... Micaiah is allowed to see God (elohim) in action in the heavenly decision regarding the fate of Ahab. Isaiah 6 depicts a situation in which the prophet himself takes on the role of the messenger of the assembly and the message of the prophet is thus commissioned by Yahweh. The depiction here illustrates this important aspect of the conceptual background of prophetic authority."[15]
Chinese
In Chinese theology, the deities under the Jade Emperor were sometimes referred to as the celestial bureaucracy because they were portrayed as organized like an earthly government.
Celtic
In Celtic mythology, most of the deities are considered to be members of the same family - the Tuatha Dé Danann. Family members include the Goddesses Danu, Brigid, Airmid, The Morrígan, and others. Gods in the family include Ogma, the Dagda, Lugh and Goibniu, again, among many others. The Celts honoured many tribal and tutelary deities, along with spirits of nature and ancestral spirits. Sometimes a deity was seen as the ancestor of a clan and family line. Leadership of the family changed over time and depending on the situation. The Celtic deities do not fit most Classical ideas of a "Divine Council" or pantheon.
Ancient Greek
Zeus and Hera preside over the divine council in Greek mythology. The council assists Odysseus in Homer's Odyssey.[16]
Ancient Roman
Jupiter presides over the Roman pantheon who prescribe punishment on Lycaon in Ovid's Metamorphoses, as well as punishing Argos and Thebes in Thebaid by Statius.[17]
Norse
There are mentions in Gautreks saga and in the euhemerized work of Saxo Grammaticus of the Norse gods meeting in council.[18][19][20] The gods sitting in council in their judgment seats or "thrones of fate" is one of the refrains in the Eddic poem "Völuspá"; a "thing" of the gods is also mentioned in "Baldrs draumar", "Þrymskviða" and the skaldic "Haustlöng", in those poems always in the context of some calamity.[21] Snorri Sturluson, in his Prose Edda, referred to a daily council of the gods at Urð's well, citing a verse from "Grímnismál" about Thor being forced through rivers to reach it.[22][23] However, although the word regin usually refers to the gods, in some occurrences of reginþing it may be simply an intensifier meaning "great", as it is in modern Icelandic, rather than indicating a meeting of the divine council.[24]

Hur vill du ranka in henne i loppet?
