What I mean by “taboo” and problematic content:
Things you will absolutely NOT see on this blog:
-shota/loli -gore -noncon
Things you may see on this blog (ONLY in a fictional context):
-BDSM themes, tropes, scenes, etc -underage (adult/15+ minor) -incest -dubcon in various forms -consensual non-consent -political opinions + Hetalia
Such things are always tagged accordingly and will make good use of tumblr’s new community tags system.
I’m not an edgelord. I operate in good faith and am willing to tag things if asked politely. My intention is never to hurt anyone and I am very sympathetic to trauma triggers. I have a fair few of my own, believe me. That said, I do not apologize for what I reblog or what I create.

I got myself a calibration tool which was recommended to be by my partnered studio - I have never used something like this but I am pretty excited to see its efficacy. God knows their marketing team did a decent job, here's to hoping the product is just a good :) After it's all finished, #Sonarworks will have found problematic areas within the shape of the room where my music setup is located. Not many people consider this when thinking about how music is made, but the sound waves reflect off every object, corner, drywall, rug, or cajon in the room! With this product, it will theoretically create a "perfect studio" by tweaking my speakers to reflect a more accurate sound. This, all in all, should make my mixes smoother, and spend less time making edits and testing on different speakers. . . . . #reference4 #studio #soundengineering #sounddesign #homestudio #sound #music #producer #product #newgear #monitors #headphones #unboxing #improvements #miscalt #misc_alt_ #leyf https://www.instagram.com/p/B6HPIvEDgBk/?igshid=194u49i6n91zz

Gengetsu’s design from Lotus Land Story was inspired by Mai from Megami Ibunroku Persona Manga as you can see on the cover of Vol. 3. I want to thank to xJeePx from the shrinemaiden forum for pointing this out.

Check out this great tip from Mixing Tips! The Sonarworks Reference 4 plugin is the perfect VST to help when mixing your track with headphones! 😃🎶🎛️🎚️🎧 #Repost @mixing_tips • • • • • Tip#207 - Mixing on headphones. Headphones are great for reference and for exposing tiny details in your project, but they bring their own issues, such as an unnaturally wide stereo image, a skewed frequency response, and a lack of crossfeed between your left and right ears. That said, plenty of pro musicians, engineers, and producers routinely mix on headphones, either by choice or necessity. ➖ Visit our profile and follow the link in bio for the great giveaway hosted by Sonarworks and enter to win Premium @sonarworks Bundle with Sennheiser HD650 and measurement microphone! ➖ #headphones #stereo #sonarworks #flat #musicproduction #musicproducer #studio #mixingtips #beatmaker #sounddesign #beats #artist #hiphop #trap #audioengineering #production #sonarworks #reference4 #vst #plugin #ableton #flstudio #fruityloops #producer #homestudio #mixing #mastering #recording #mixingengineer https://www.instagram.com/p/BtoJw9clAku/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=xrewjry6umb2

Ghosts Talking Directly to Other Ghosts
Welp, I finally cracked the code on getting ghosts to directly interact and respond to one another. The proper, intended way! There’s still some more details to work out, like commands that control if your ghost interrupts the other ghosts, or waits until they’re done speaking, and Reference2 I’m not entirely sure what is going on.
\![set,otherghosttalk,true]
Ghost must have this flag enabled to “hear” other ghosts!
Then you’ll need this function in commu.dic
OnOtherGhostTalk function references
reference0: the name of the speaking ghost
reference1: the name of the “kero” of the speaking ghost, if it has one
reference2: the type of talk (still need to figure what exactly this is, but values can be break, communicate, send, owned, remote… a few others I think)
reference3: SHIORI event name from the speaking ghost (OnBoot,OnChoiceSelect etc type event functions)
reference4: the message of the speaking ghost
reference5: information dependent on the the SHIORI event of reference3. It’s usually the name of the user-defined function the speaking ghost just did (aitalk, cheer, knock, configmenu..)
Note: The values of reference variables will vary based on which SHIORI event has occurred. Flowey’s Dev Party Mode can help you find the values you’re looking for!
Example:
OnOtherGhostTalk { if reference0 == "Multiverse Sans" { if reference5 == "whosKnocking" || reference5 == "knock" { "\0\s[100]* YOUR JOKES ARE GARBAGE, SMILEY TRASHBAG!" } } else { "\1\_q\f[height,13]\f[bold,1]Ref0: \f[bold,0]%(reference0) \w2/ \1\n[150]\f[bold,1]Ref3: \f[bold,0]%(reference3) / \1\n[150]\f[bold,1]Ref1: \f[bold,0]%(reference1) / \1\n[150]\f[bold,1]Ref2: \f[bold,0]%(reference2) / \1\n[150]\f[bold,1]Ref5: \f[bold,0]%(reference5)\w2/ \1\n[150]\f[bold,1]Reference6+: \f[bold,0]%(reference6),%(reference7),%(reference8)\w9\w9\_q" } }
So every time Sans tries to tell a knock-knock joke, Flowey yells this at him:
Flowey that is RUDE.
I’m proud of you for listening to Sans though!
Hehehehe. wubs u too flower boi

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/neuroscience-of-desire/
The Neuroscience of Distance and Desire
In brief, this article explains how things we desire seem to be in closer reach than they actually are. When you desire something, you are so heavily motivated to achieve that goal as fast as possible that you misinterpret the actual process and time that is need to fulfil it. Desire can be seen as an all consuming force that takes over our bodies and fragments our minds, we become deluded into thinking that we are closure to our desired goals than we actually are, forcing us to act in irrational ways and being blinded by what we think is in obtainable reach.

Well well well #Sonarworks worked like a friggin' charm! I was having a horrible time wrangling the low-mid section of my set up, as tiny apartments in big cities tend to not be the best for audio - UNTIL TODAY! After I finished calibration, it corrected output frequencies and every track I listen to sounds more balanced and even. This is going to help me with my mixes so so much. This is going to save me so much time trying to "guess" what the freqs. will sound like. Let's get cookin'. . . . . #reference4 #sonarworksreference4 #audio #music #frequency #frequencies #eq #balance #balancing #balancedaudio #homestudio #studio #clarity #studiotechnologies #studiotech #musicgear #gear #studioupgrade #upgrade #accuratemix #mixing #producingmusic #production #producer #miscalt #leyf https://www.instagram.com/p/B8Zkz9hppp3/?igshid=1v1lzy93cgllt

The first minimal poster (top right) was designed by James Joyce in 2010 and the three remaining posters were designed by Matt Owen (2010-2011).
The following posters heavily influenced my final design. I really like the simple colour pallet and clear bold text to tell the story. It also invites the responder to make their own interpretation of the narrative behind it. I hope to use the same effect because my poster is all about being told how to act and think so by having a minimal design it will juxtapose my concept allowing the audience to think for themselves and interpret the words accordingly.

Mike Parr (artist) (Image Source: http://members.iinet.net.au/~postpub/8ball/issue%2028/Parr=_Malevich_A_Political_Arm_.html)
Mike Parr is an Australian performance artist and printmaker. He is notable for his works and performances shocking audiences and pushing boundaries. Mike Parr purposefully aims to shock his audience for his creative practice; the picture above is from a 2003 performance where is non-prosthetic arm was nailed to a wall for 30 hours in an art gallery. The piece was titled "Malevich (A Political Arm)." His importance to my project stems from his ability to surprised and shock his audiences; my poster is nothing but an empty space when people would be expecting an A2 piece of paper. The absurdity of his acts inspired me to be more abstract with my own practice, and as such was critical to my thinking process.

The art world is paying attention. Are you?
Laura Itzkowitz, 2014, 10 New Contemporary Artists Challenging Everything We Knew About Art, Arts.Mic, Retrieved 05/08/14 from http://mic.com/articles/85531/10-new-contemporary-artists-challenging-everything-we-knew-about-art
The article presents the works of ten artists who respectively challenge art conventions by subsequently rebelling against accepted and traditional conventions within their content, styles and mediums. These examples illustrate the kind of contemporary creative rebellion that I have in mind – they do not represent only one medium or style, they are not limited in practice and instead express a sort of freedom within the realm of art. Similarly to Hesitate//Activate//Deviate the works each respectively challenge the viewers perspective and depth of perception, which is a major focus of mine in my conceptualization of a contemporary creative rebellion. A great feature of this source is that it features links to further information about each artist throughout the article and includes a brief summation of what they do, how, and why it is challenging.
“They're working with traditional forms like painting and photography to convey and support nontraditional messages, and they're turning these messages into works that challenge preconceived definitions and command our attention.”
