it’s nowhere near the worst interpretation and i do understand how it could be assumed or even be compelling if you’re very interested in the lords in black but one of my biggest pet peeves is the interpretation that the lords in black are manipulating grace and deliberately driving her to where she ends up the entire play. such a big part of what makes grace work is her role as the driving force in the play, an active agent who’s actions directly lead to all the calamity and tragedy that occurs later through sheer religious guilt, desperation and neuroticism. taking even some of that autonomy away from her makes her significantly less compelling.

Lily can’t defend what she doesn’t know is happening, but what she *did* witness in Snape’s Worst Memory should’ve put her off James completely. Not because she owes Severus anything, but because James was sadistically cruel in that scene, not just a bit full of himself. A year (it was only a year later going by the timing of Petunia’s wedding) and she’s in a serious relationship with a guy she witnessed humiliating, choking and exposing someone underprivileged? Speaks volumes. Lily’s not a moron, so the only way it can be rationalised is if she comes to believe that Severus deserved what he got by the lake that day.

You’re overlooking an important aspect of Lily’s character: her capacity for forgiveness and her tendency to give people a chance if she perceives change in them.

Lily did see James’s behavior in SWM and was definitely put off by it, but she also witnessed his "genuine" growth and change since that time. It wasn’t only about the potential for growth; James actively demonstrated that he had made progress. Whether he truly changed or was just putting on a front is a separate issue, but Lily’s decision to give him a chance was based on the growth he demonstrated and her belief in his potential. Dismissing her choice as a failure to acknowledge James’s past ignores the complexity of personal relationships and the possibility for people to evolve over time. Lily’s actions were driven by her belief in change, which is a fundamental part of who she is.

But the camera swapping over to the Lou, Ally and Murph side of the table, Ally rolling dice and Murph counting is very sweet.

Despite all the posting about the Rat Grinders and the disappointment... They are literally all comedians and Best/close friends making a fucking show together. . As well as filming about 3-4 ~2h30 episodes in about the space of 2-3 days plus their ~30 minutes APs. .this doesn't include their breaks for food, checking in with each other, and changing outfits. .

Like this season could have been pushed into intense filming mode because of the writers strike last year.

But to say that the IH don't care about the story or the Bad Kids are acting harsh towards the Rat Grinders and not look for redemption. . .

They fucking tried throughout Junior Year right.. if the Rat Grinders used strategy and had Buddy as well as Ruben heal their party at this point. . But also the Bad Kids are in a "here we go again" situation. .all their time at school has been LETS SAVE THE FUCKING WORLD. it's a kill or be killed situation. The situation that they are used to.

Like come on. . The Freshmen Year one fell into their laps because Riz wanted to find out what happened. Gorgug and Kristen died in the first fight.... They got curious and were only taught how to use the battle strategy by Bill Seacaster. .

Sophomore year was a spring break task given to them by the principal. . That was their assignment....

The night Yorb was their fault. .well mainly Riz's fault but it was the Bad Kids fault to investigate the name Night Yorb right... But they fixed it, they owned up to their mistakes.

This year? Yeah I'm still in the mindset that they would have figured out some of the plan without the Rat Grinders being the Rat Grinders right. . like they might find Lucy. . The Vulture dimension shit could have still happened... The Rat Grinders could have been in the background but TBK could have been aware of them.

Like they found out about the rage crystals BECAUSE OF LYDIA. they found out about Ankarna because of a mixture of Bakur and Lydia as well as what was happening with Cassandra.

Like Buddy Dawn information was found out via Kristen's brother.

The Frosty Fair was at Gorgug's house and Riz's mother was researching it. Just so happened Ruben was there as well as Grix.

The chances of them going to the temple in the mountains, them finding out about Ankarna, Fig becoming the champion are all very high as well. Like come on. . Kalina mentioned Ragh because she was using a way around a spell/curse. .the mystery is dangling for the Bad Kids. Like it's a mystery of why is an unnamed god causing rage etc.. it's what the bad kids do.

If they had arrived at the gym post election party. . They could have had the dragons from Oisin anyway... The fight wouldn't have changed.

This fight wouldn't have changed. Like there are 6 students actively HELPING TWO TEACHERS END THE FUCKING WORLD. Even if they are not manipulated into doing so. . The Rat Grinders actively hate the Bad Kids. . The Bad Kids are naturally going to take out the support so they can do what they do best. . .

Sorry for the rant when talking about something sweet that the 7 IH do for each other. .

it’s so weird to think that ryuji was only a major character in one canon game. like he’s such a strong character with such a strong personality it doesn’t feel like he was only prominent in one canon game at ALL. he feels almost as ever-present and beloved as someone like daigo and yet he’s basically never even mentioned after kiwami 2. that’s so crazy to me.

You know what? I’m honestly surprised there isn’t (as far as I’m aware of) a ROTTMNT 2012 crossover that takes place immediately after the Rise Boys just after defeating the Shredder and losing their Karai and through some accident one way or another they end up in the 2012 TMNT universe

But here’s the kicker: instead of usually running into the 2012 TMNT or their Kraang they run into Karai and her foot soldiers (somewhere after she takes lead of the foot clan) and being the morally-grey and fresh-out-of-losing-their-Karai trauma turtles they are they immediately attach onto her like children lost in a store

it still bothers me that scorpia and entrapta were close friends but scorpia is shipped with the same person who grossly mistreated entrapta and was blatantly ableist to her. scorpia left the horde because she realized how toxic catra was towards entrapta, you think she's just gonna fall in love with perfuma while knowing that she was also toxic towards entrapta?

scorpia may not have known about the first time that happened but she was literally present the second time. she was there when they were trying to find glimmer's coordinates, she saw perfuma leash entrapta and she said nothing!

i know that scorpia isn't the type to get into an argument or anything, but s1-4 scorpia would NOT idly stand by while her friend is being dragged around and yelled at for no reason. remember how she got mad at corrupted adora for trying to attack catra (and catra was 100% in the wrong there). and furthermore, she would absolutely not fall in love with someone who dehumanized and infantilized her friend.

seeing a lot of disappointment that the rat grinders aren’t getting any sort of redemption arc which i understand because i think it would make a more interesting and complex story but yall are not taking into account that this is a dnd show and the best part about dnd is killing people u hate without having to go to jail or face repercussions soooooo

i will never understand how so many people think santana auditioned for rachel's understudy out of spite or malice. at that point in the show they are friends, santana has shown she cares about rach and vice versa. the opening scene to that episode is san acknowledging her behaviour towards rach in high school and rach forgiving her. then rach is encouraging to santana and says that one day she'll be the one on top.

rachel tells kurtana about how stressed she is about auditioning her understudy and asks for their support. it's pretty obvious that santana gets the idea there and then. she knows that rach doesn't want an understudy but she has to have one, so doesn't it makes sense to have it be a person she already knows and is friends with? obviously san is also looking for her place so it's two birds one stone in her mind. i get a high exposure job in the industry and rach doesn't have to worry about working closely with some rando.

her greatest misstep is not telling rachel prior but she gets the idea just as rach closes the door behind her in a rush. she didn't have time to tell her when she also only has like an hour to memorise the song and prepare.

the reason she mimics rach's sectionals performance is out of admiration. it's so obvious just by the look on her face and her mannerisms. to san she is paying tribute to her friend who she believes will like the idea. santana isn't smirking or bitchy, she's literally ecstatic and smiling the entire performance.

santana has said a lot of mean things to rach but she's never said she isn't talented, that is the one thing about rach that she always admired.

at this point in the show santana hasn't been the antagonist for like three seasons. she's no longer the one to tear rachel down, she just makes jokes and gives reality checks. all of her interactions with berry have been her trying to help and support her.

santana wasn't auditioning out of spite and whenever I see someone say that I know that they haven't paid attention to half of the show.
