I've finally finished my Danganronpa AU personal project! I personally call it

DANGANRONPA: DEMIX

And yeah, all the swaps as you can see above, and these guys in the middle are the replacements for Monokuma and Usami respectively:

Finally finished my personal AU project. I hope it's to everyone's liking!

I can go on forever about these designs but I'll limit myself to one-two sentences on some facts about the designs.

Mikan: Mikan's face tattoo was commissioned on her against her will so that she can never hide her nature as a Yakuza, but her leg tattoo was done on purpose, and she and Nagito have matching tattoos on their legs, his is just hidden most the time.

Nagito: He is usually seen with a spear and prefers the weapon over the sword, but he is more famous for his natural skill with the blade. That said, he resents the blade and wishes he could be recognized for the things he actually works hard to do, like throwing spears or protecting Mikan and her family.

Ibuki: I kept her design very similar to her base design because she pretty much just looks like a student, and I don't want to change anyone's personality so there's no reason for her to not get highlights. But I gave her some more symmetry in this design and gave her a cute little semi ahoge I guess with a hair tie, bc she doesn't naturally have one.

Imposter/Gamemaster: Yeah I made the big brain choice to keep him with his colors as "Byakuya" because it made for a more striking visual, and more recognizeable as the impostor. Also I made him too tall because I wanted to give him big legs lol.

Hiyoko: Her four cats are named Heart (scraggly cat), Mr. Pearls (sleepy cat), Big Red (Giant cat), and BB (black cat) bc canonically the four dark devas are named after shonen manga, I named her cats after pokemon games, which she canonically likes playing. Also chickens are her favorite animal, despite her love of cats.

Kazuichi: Kazuichi's not a natural born prince, through shenanigans it turns out he's extremely distantly related to some royal line in a microstate north of germany called "Nordsumpf." Their main exports are cars and Kazuichi is still new to being a prince.

"Kyoko": She'd try her best to act like Kyoko, but she's a little too meek and openy affectionate to pull it off properly. Also her knockers are way bigger than Kyoko's, so there's an immediate discrepancy to the trained eye.

Also in my au of DR1, Kyoko is the ultimate affluent progeny and Makoto is author/serial killer.

Hajime: His hair is actually extremely long back there, he just keeps it tied up. On shows he lets it all out and a wears red contacts, his stage name is "Izuru."

Sonia: Sonia became a team manager because she was escaping an assasination attempt, strolled into a junior laegue soccer game, took over for the coach and started just barking orders and the team won. They were the worst team in the whole league and after that she just sorta stuck around them and won them the championships.

Gundham: Gundham was orginally meant to wear the japanese flag… but there was too much white in his design so I cut it. He has names for all of his gymnast moves and he announces them very loudly when he does any of them.

Peko: I tried to give Peko a unique sort of "zombie survivor" kinda vibe so while she's clearly a mechanic first she can also just fucking kill you by braining you with that monkey wrench. Most of the time she's cool though, she's just like horribly dependent on other people to tell her what to do, so she attaches to Kazuichi because he's the most immediately available authority figure.

Fuyuhiko: He's got that sort of machismo that makes him not like to admit he loves dancing, but the moment he's complimented on it he'll really appreciate it. Also he's still part of a crime family, but it's just not as strong as Mikan's.

Akane: She really looks sporty still, but don't worry she's definitely "lucky," she's just much more focused on the future than her bad luck in the moment… which can be very bad, actually, and can make her come across as kind of aloof.

Nekomaru: Why is nurse Nekomaru not as common a thing. Just think about it, it's perfect. Nekomaru here got inspired by the bravery and hard work of the nurses that treated him and boom he became a nurse, nobody tougher than healthcare professionals after all.

Mahiru: Mahiru as a nurse is honestly a really really really fun concept but I feel like I wasn't very ambitious here, and I can't really show it through the drawing but one of my early drafts had her look more like a european chef a la gordon ramsey bc I headcanon her as a scot.

Teruteru: Decided to give him a raincoat which my sister pointed out to me could also be a trenchcoat, which is just PERFECT for a creep like him. It just writes itself man, though seriously he's mostly a landscape photographer who specializes in pics of the countryside. Still a huge perv tho.

Usowa: Name is a combo of Usagi and Chowa, the word for Harmony. She's less like a chaotic force of nature like Monokuma and more a manipulative and hardline teacher who coaxes the students into doing awful things by playing into their insecuritoies with motives, and which then causes them to kill, allowing her to punish them, "weeding out the weak and undisciplined among their ranks." She replaces Monokuma.

Kyojuma: Name is a combo of Kyoju (professor) and Kuma. He's a pretty silly guy with an easy temper to poke at, but he's good at heart and tries his best to be a more sort of "fun" teacher than the rules lawyer Usami kinda was. He just wants to help his students, too bad Usowa showed up and decidedly does NOT like his approach.

thought i should give back to the kokonui nation today cause it’s my birthday lol a couple of ppl in tiktok asked for a koko exhibition art to match the one i made for inupi so thought i might share it here as well ! (*꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ)♡ also it looks like kokonui are fighting each other in the anime rn but not in my art they won’t so i put them side by side 😤 (wasn’t able to do this one in my own style; i’ll save it for another day)

details: still based off shinichiro’s exhibition art bc he’s the only one from black dragons w an official exhibition art. also tried to mirror the one i made for inui as much as possible. the patterns in his outfit resemble mining areas bc his surname kokonoi means ‘nine’ (九) (kokono) and ‘well, mine shaft, pit’ (井) (i). koko loves swimming thus the presence of waves and daisy is his birth flower. he loves fortune telling thus the astrology themes in his lower garments (his and inupi’s astrological signs (aries and libra) are there along w the black dragons logo (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧). koko has no official image color so the color palette is from his previous exhibition art but red works just fine bc akane means ‘red, crimson’ (赤) (aka) and since ‘ne’ means ‘sound, noise’ (音), you’ll find a couple of music notes among the heavenly bodies (and speaking of heaven, it’s what inui (乾) means (˘ ˘ ˘)). can’t help but feel koko emulates the line ‘end in burning flames or paradise’ from taylor swift’s style (tv) lmao

Ok so it might be the fact that i ship them so i see alot of things they do as possibly romantic even when theres no romantic implications, but the amount of times it feels like AidaIro seems to be implying that teru likes akane is getting to a suspiciously high number. Like lets look at this from a non-shipper’s pov (or at least try😭)

Item A: teru looking at akane

Without the context that he’s looking at akane, he genuinely looks like he’s showing something of raw emotion, unchanged by his “fake persona” but a genuine reaction. Looking at this picture at face value one would assume he’s big time crushing. I mean i wouldn’t say “omg hes so in lovveee!!!” But considering he doesn’t really open up to like anyone, i think this is definitely something??

Item B: them going together on a romantic outing

Yes i did make it sound much more compelling then it actually is but cmon man. The school festival is considered a “romantic event” and these two spent the entire time hanging around the school together. Giving the excuse that "it's our job being in the student council" (which i guess it is) but in reality it was because no one wanted to come with them.

Which i mean they also did technically go on an actual date together

Item C: teru trusting akane more than anyone (?)

Teru likes talking to akane, trusts his intellect, and considers him someone he can rely on but doesn't like it when his whole world starts to revolve around aoi. My guy, that's jealousy.

He is shown to trust him and even show his back to him in multiple instances, knowing he wont hurt him, and he’s someone he can trust (lets ignore what happens on the literal next page)

Even literally being one of those “i fight alone” type of people but when akane’s there, he’s never fighting alone

Item D: not sure if thats whats happening here but im pretty sure he tried rizzing akane(?) even blushing n shit like ‘oh no mr judge im not guilty🥺💄💋’

And then got agitated when it didn’t work

Item E: akane knows teru better than we think

When kou and teru were fighting, the reason teru even walked out in the first place was because of the fireworks. And whos idea was that?

Akane’s. He knew he liked fireworks and that they’d lure him out of his room. And again, he was right they did it fact get him to leave

Item F: valentines day event

i dont think i even need to break this one down. Its a picture of JUST them TOGETHER posted on VALENTINES DAY. 2/14/24. THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY THAT CELEBRATES NONE OTHER THAN ROMANTIC LOVE. Also teru’s color being used as akane’s sparkles and akane’s color being used as teru’s sparkles kinda shows that AidaIro arent just showing us two characters, they’re showing us TERU and AKANE, TOGETHER. If it really could be anyone im sure they’d put them in a general setting, but with the paired colors i’d say that says otherwise.

Item G: possible fruit symbolism

first off, this picture.

First lets look at hanako’s. We can see he has two drinks, both red + with strawberries, along with a red straw. While also being pictured near other red fruits.

In this picture, nene’s flower(s) are literally strawberry flowers, putting the association between strawberries + nene out there. Meaning the strawberries in his drink could be purposeful, along with the red undertones. (red being her eye color) (sorry for quality im doin this on iPhone)

Moving on to teru’s, he has one drink, being yellow-ish with pineapple on the side, and chunks in the drink itself. Whilst his straw is orange, while also being pictured around a ginormous pinapple

And this isnt the first time we’ve seen him pictured with pineapples

This god awful picture unfortunately exists so im adding it as proof/evidence for my argument. (Oh and not to mention akane has green pants on so everyone’s a lil funky igs)

All within the same chapter i think, but him changing outfits i feel like says something. Like we’re supposed to associate that with something other than aoi (them talking ab how to save her at his house) or his family. Like aidairo are shoving it in your face ‘disassociate teru w aoi!!!’ He even straight up left when they started talking ab how they missed aoi at the karaoke place. (More or so when he left they started talking but ykwim) Since nene is being associated with strawberries it leaves the only other person to be akane, this also making sense also because of the straw color. (The straw being orange; akane’s rep color being orange, as nene’s is red)

also the fact that fruit is literally associated with the queer community

Item H: triangles + queer symbolism

My guy has one for EVERY OUTFIT 😭 he’s just ab the only character to have this. Aidairo finds a way to sneak an upsidown triangle in all of his outfits

This picture. Him holding akane’s shirt and aoi’s bag really shows that AidaIro REALLY doesn’t want us to know which one he likes 😭 (if you’re confused, to sum it up AidaIro did a really good job keeping teru’s stance on the “love triangle” between akane, teru and aoi, ambiguous. If you are STILL confused go check out my other analysies i only have like 5 other posts, they go more in depth ab it)

The phone buzzing is what wakes you up. The sight of your apartment is blurred and dark, indicating it’s past time for any phone calls. Groggily, you grab your phone and answer it without looking at who’s calling.

He doesn’t even say hello when you answer. A sob echoes into the receiver, waking you up a little more as he sniffles. “I killed her, didn’t I, [name]? I killed my sister.”

“No, no you did not.” You fight the blankets off of you, rushing to turn on your bedroom lights and find a pair of shoes. Hopping on one foot, you listen as Inupi argues with you and continues to demean himself. You click the kitchen lights on as well, gathering your keys and a jacket as you get to the front door. “Inui, where are you? I’m going to come find you and we’ll talk, okay? Just tell me where you are.”

Panicking — you’re panicking behind your stone-faced, calm facade because of how broken he sounds. How sure he sounds that it’s his fault his sister is gone. Another sob into the speaker as you fling your front door open.

And there he is, leaning against the wall to your apartment. Your arms fall weakly as you take him in ; as you see the tears that have gathered on his face and the absolute devastation that colors every inch of him.

You let out a relieved sigh, “oh, 'nupi...” Of course he came to you — he always managed to show up where you are when he got like this. When he couldn’t fight his mind on his own. Gathering him in your arms, you barely feel as he all but pushes you back into your apartment.

Trembling hands fasten around your waist, hiccups shaking his body. You tighten your hold, stumbling until your back meets the couch and Inupi lands on top of you. You shush him as well as you can, fighting your own tears at how broken he sounds.

Seconds, minutes, hours — your grip on Inupi never lessens, and his grip on you stays the same. His breathing has calmed expodentially and all you can feel are his eyelashes brushing against your neck.

"Inupi?" It feels odd to hear your voice after so long — it's loud as it rings around your living room. The blond simply nuzzles his face deeper into your neck. Your fingers rake through his hair softly before you tug, making him look at you. "Need to know how you are, Seishu."

The sound of his name brings him back. Jade eyes blink up at you, a shaky breath leaving his chest slowly. "Okay. M'okay, [name]."

"Sure?" Inupi lets out another breath, eyes tired, red and droopy. He yawns, lips pouting as he blinks. You smile lightly at him, twirling his hair once more. "Okay. Want to stay here — head to bed?"

Inupi stands shakily, leading the way to your bedroom. He knows the way by heart now, stumbling through the dim light until he's climbing into your sheets. You watch him for a second as he curls into himself, face smooshed into the pillow you were laying on. Puffy eyes meet yours once more as he pats the empty side of your bed, gesturing for you to join him.

"It'll get better one day," Seishu says quietly to himself.

You crawl into your bed with a nod, laying down and quickly getting comfortable. "One day at a time. And I'll be here the whole way."

The blond snuggles back into you, his face hiding in your neck and arms winding around your hips. "...thank you."

"'Course."

Inupi pulls briefly away from you with a sniffle, puffy eyes dancing down your figure as his pout deepens. “You look really nice today.”

“I’m in my pajamas ; the day is over.”

“You look nice every day,” he responds, stuffing his face back into your chest. Letting out one final deep breath, Seishu settles and relaxes into your arms. "See you in the morning, [name]."

You simply hum in return, knowing he wouldn't sleep well. Good sleep was rare for you both — nightmares of different kinds haunting your dreams. You hope, for his sake, tonight would be better.

Hollow Wedding

The wedding could've come from a magazine spread, it was so perfect.

Notre Dame was decorated in white, the only pops of color being red here and there and the stained glass window cast shimmering pops of color on the couple. On either side of them were the groomsmen and bridesmaids, three each, all dressed in matching outfits. It was a wedding straight out of a movie.

It was beautiful. Perfect.

Hollow.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng could practically feel the hollowness in the air. Despite what Alya claimed, that she still had deep feelings for Adrien, it wasn't that made her feel hollow. It was just too perfect. The way Adrien held his bride's hand, how he placed the ring on her finger, how they kissed. Each motion was perfectly rehearsed and bare of any real emotion.

The only thing that made it imperfect was that Alya kept glancing at her. Ever since Adrien had announced his engagement, she had pushed Marinette to do something about it. She still didn't seem to understand that Marinette no longer wanted Adrien. Since her break up with Luka, of course she would want to rebound with the guy who made her feel shame for her own emotions.

Of course.

Marinette didn't do anything and Alya finally settled with a sigh. She was almost like Chat Noir, who announced he was engaged out of the blue and kept glancing at her ever since the news, probably hoping she would react more than her congratulations.

She hoped his wedding was more real than this.

The reception carried the hollowness as well. It was all perfectly decorated and such as well, but there was nothing that could hide that feeling. And, as she sat down with Alya and Nino, she could see other guests look around, weirdly unsettled.

"Ugh, that was the creepiest ceremony I've ever sat through," Nino said in a whisper. "Like, I thought the bride was about to drop dead."

Marinette nodded. "I noticed it too." She glanced at the stage before Alya could comment any more on "her true feelings". "Aren't you gonna give a speech?"

Nino shook his head. "Nah, dudette. Gabriel made Adrien make his cousin his best man, so he's giving the speech."

"I didn't even know he had a cousin," Alya said as the cousin in question, Felix or something, started talking. "Who was the other guy?"

"I don't know, some model Adrien knows? From what I heard, the bride doesn't even know the bridesmaids, they're all related to Adrien or Emilie somehow."

"Huh? Seriously?"

Alya's eyes went wide. "Oh boy," she said. "Suddenly, I'm glad you never confessed your feelings, Mari."

"I'm glad you finally realized," she couldn't help but snark. Honestly, she would have rather died than have a wedding like this. She would've wanted to be married at the little temple her parents did, blending Chinese and French customs together and even having her parents make her wedding cake. With how Gabriel and Emilie this all felt, she wouldn't be surprised if Adrien's wedding had always been planned to be a wedding do-over. She pushed that thought aside to focus on the issue. "But, the bride didn't know any of them?"

Nino nodded. "Yeah. I asked if...uh..." He paused, trying to think. "I can't remember her name- Akane? I think that's her name, I asked if something had happened so they had to step in, but Adrien kinda just said that she didn't have any friends."

"She could've," Alya snarked, "If she actually bothered to show up to the hang-outs like you invited her to."

The wedding reception, thankfully, grew more lively after dinner was served after that comment. Marinette couldn't help but dance with Alya as Nino DJed, his music providing a spark of life to the hollowness of everything.

Soon, however, she had to pull away. "Getting some air!" she called so Alya could hear, receiving a nod. Marinette walked away from the huddle, stepping out of the reception entirely. The reception had been held in Chloe's hotel with doors leading to the roof.

And, up on the roof, was the bride.

Marinette, the moment she saw the white gown, was tempted to just turn and head back inside. But something in her paused, made her just look at the woman who married her lycee crush.

She was startlingly pretty, with short dark hair and eyes, even with the frostiness that always seemed to follow her, that had a hint of sweetness. The dress looked lovely, but it seemed washed out against her. If Marinette had designed the wedding dress, she would've chosen a more bold color, like red.

And then she realized that the bride was staring at her.

"Uh, hi, sorry-" Marinette said, stepping back. "I didn't know anyone was up here, I can just-"

"It's fine." Short and to the point.

Marinette nodded, walking up to stand next to the bride. They stood in silence together, just watching the city. No akumas had come today, despite her fears of Adrien's fan club reacting badly to him getting married. (Chloe's akuma in reaction to the news was enough.) It was another perfect moment for the movie that was this wedding.

"Akane, right?"

"Kagami, actually." The moment the correction hit her ears, Marinette wanted to shrivel up. Fuck, hadn't that been the name on the invite? She was so dumb! "Although that might as well be my name for how much Adrien cares about me."

"Huh?"

"It's Marinette, correct?" Kagami said, no explanation for her statement.

"Uh, yeah." Marinette cleared her throat. "I'm glad I could finally meet you. We tried to schedule stuff, but-"

"But you guys had to cancel. I understand."

Huh. Wait. What? "What, no? Adrien and you cancelled. He kept texting Nino that his dad suddenly changed his mind or you guys had a really important event."

"No. We would leave to meet with you and then he would get a text saying that stuff had to be cancelled so I always went home." She expected anger or maybe relief. Instead, Kagami's face seemed to crumple. "I bet he was with her," she said. A tear rolled down her cheek and she reached up, looking startled.

With the whiplash of Adrien supposedly lying to Kagami and maybe, possibly, lying to Nino and them, Marinette could only ask "Who?"

"The girl he's in love with," Kagami admitted, voice thick with tears. More tears rolled down her cheeks and it was heartbreaking. "You know, I should've taken it as a hint that, right after our first date, he admitted he wasn't over this girl. I pushed past it, I thought I could-" A sob welled up and Kagami let it out. Marinette couldn't help it. She wrapped her arms around her, hoping she could provide some comfort. The other woman froze, just for a second, before arms wrapped stiffly around her. "I thought I could change his mind. I thought we were so perfect together."

"Perfection isn't a thing," Marinette admitted. "No matter how hard Gabriel tries to think it is."

"I should've left him after we got engaged and he admitted that I was just a placeholder for this other girl," Kagami said, sending a hot wave of rage through Marinette. "I saw him while we were preparing. He kept checking his phone..."

I'll check my messages if you have any last-minute objections, my lady.

Marinette shook her head. No. Adrien wasn't like that. Except, as it turned out, he was. She pushed away those thoughts to focus on Kagami. A ridiculous thought came up, except in the face of all this, it probably wasn't that ridiculous. "...it's not too late to walk away." Sure, it would probably hurt Adrien to have his wife annul their marriage the day of their wedding, but what about Kagami?

"It is," Kagami sounded so calm about this, even with the tears rolling down her face. "Tsurugis don't back down from anything."

"Tsurugis should also be respected and be in relationships that respect them." It was snarky but true.

There was a moment of silence. Marinette almost pulled away from how still Kagami suddenly seemed.

Then the other woman pulled away, a cold glint freezing her face over, even as her eyes were puffy and pink. Marinette almost apologized when she spoke. "I'll meet you downstairs in ten minutes," she said.

"...Okay."

Kagami smiled and nodded before walking through the door. Marinette, left on the roof, blinked and then pulled out her phone. In an old group chat, she left one message.

PinkFlower: Get the car ready the marriage's getting annulled.

By the time she arrived at the parking lot, Alya and Nino, plus Juleka, Rose, Alix, Mylene and Ivan, were waiting at Nino's van. "What the heck did you do, girl?!" she said. "Adrien's already married one day and you become a homewrecker?"

"Not on that side," Marinette corrected. She turned her head at what sounded like a furious shriek and the music from the back-up DJ screeching to a stop. In the next minute, the doors opened, revealing Kagami.

Marinette's guess was right. She did look good in red, especially in the jumpsuit she had changed into.

"What did you do?" Marinette asked, just a little frightened and a lot swooning. Alya gaped, glancing from her to Kagami. Alix and Juleka, based on the noises, were stifling laughter.

"I did what I should've done a long time ago," Kagami said, holding out her arm. Marinette, still a little bit flustered, took it. "I told my mother about Adrien and his other lady. She's contacting our family lawyer now."

Damn. If her mother was anything like Gabriel...

"I also looked up some restaurants nearby. There's one with very good orange juice, if you would like?" She leaned in close, as if worried that someone would overhear and take offense. "The catering was not my choice."

...the food hadn't been great.

"Yeah," Marinette said as Nino opened the door to his van. "Yeah, I would like that."

Kagami's smile was beautiful, perfect, and full of life.

Jumin gives me trouble because I feel like he listens to music for lyrics or lack thereof rather than sound. He listens to blues, jazz, classical and maybe a soft rock love song here and there. If he listens to a song with lyrics, he'll study them. He doesn't really listen to music often but when he does, it's often used as background noise rather than him genuinely indulging.

707 / Saeyoung / Luciel

I think he'd listen to mostly everything but especially synth wave, pop, new wave, rap, noise and glam rock for some reason. I could see him vibing to Depeche Mode one moment and then Fetty Wap the next. He would definitely unironically listen to wannabe by the spice girls LMAO. Also probably really likes tv show intros like iCarly theme or something. AND DISCO!! Seven dancing to bee gees when!?!?

Yoosung

To get rid of the obvious he'd listen to video game osts, pixel (I think that's what the genre is called?) and probably, here me out, pop punk. Or like Falling in Reverse. I think his favourite band would be the All American Rejects but I can also see him liking old demi lavato or Camilla cabello. Both basic white girl music and then randomly pop punk mixed in. As for gaming soundtracks I think he'd really like the undertale ost and probably listens to music through gacha life amv 😔

Zen / Hyun

I FEEL LIKE HIS MUSIC TASTE WAS EXPLICITLY STATED BUT I DONT REMEMBER RAHH okay okay uhm- !! I can totally see him listening to Whitney Houston, Abba, The Cardigans, The Beatles etc for some reason but also he'd feel self conscious that his music taste is too "old" so he would throw in shit like Kendrick Lamar and Future to spice things up and he would never ever admit that his favourite song is Angeleyes by Abba.

Jaehee

Bubblegum Pop, Indie and Doo Wop!!! Mitski, Girl In Red, Kinneret, Princess Chelsea, The Chordettes and The Supremes are frequents of Jaehee's playlist! She only really listens to music on the plane or in the office though. It helps her relax and take her mind off the stress for a bit. I can imagine her learning piano and playing songs like Johnny Angel or Mr Sandman in her free time.

Rika

Rika likes Melanie Martinez and i refuse to argue. She would probably relate really hard to some of her music and overall loves the way it sounds. Can also see her liking Penelope Scott. On the other hand, i see her liking classical or just soft piano music. Color me Blue by Akane would also be a song i can see her liking.

Vanderwood

Metal, Glam Rock, Glam Metal, Dad Rock, 80s rock just. Yeah. You get the point. Metallica, Journey, Mötley Crüe, Guns n Roses, Van Halen, Cinderella, Def Leppord and Dokken !! His favourite bands. STINGUE ESSAY

That’s right, in this essay, I will be persuading you, and any of the doubters out there, that the ship stingue is undeniably canon, and not the sort of canon you can just headcanon away. I will present several pieces of evidence with my vast knowledge of the Fairy Tail franchise (really vast) that can completely prove that stingue is a real ship (also known as Ring, stogue, the sabretooth boys, strong, but for the sake of keeping track of it, I’ll use the most obscure name for it, stingue). P.S. if you haven’t read my Rogue post, go do it, this won’t make any sense without a firm understanding of my analysis of Rogue’s character, and it's way shorter than this so there’s no reason not to.

Exhibit A: In this manga panel, we can see that sting is wearing a cat outfit. Many of the doubters would dismiss this, saying that this was all a part of his character development in the Saber Tooth arc, where he *Allegedly* wanted to become true to his guild name and become a sabretooth tiger (with cool dragon powers). I propose a different idea. He was doing this to impress Rogue. We all know the entire Fairy Tail franchise loves cats, it’s common knowledge, if you didn’t know that then you did inadequate research in preparation for this essay. But what makes this specific to rogue is that he’s wearing a cat COSTUME. NOT CAT EARS. NOT A CAT TAIL. AN ENTIRE COSTUME. You know who else is a cool cat in costume?!?!? THAT’S RIGHT, FRESH! ROGUES CAT. CLEARLY, sting was doing this in a bid to replace Rogue’s beloved cat Fresh, and you can CLEARLY SEE Rogue blushing, however, the blushing is only in the colored version of the director cut of the manga, and its top secret (only I have a copy), so you’ll have to trust the experts on this one. Also is the girl on the right single? If so, send her my way.

I’m sure the manga readers In the crowd are reacting just like Sting and Rogue did in exhibit B. But OP, I hear you ask, what about the anime only viewers? They won’t have this part of the manga adapted for years! And I must say, what an astute observation, I completely respect your question and you have earned a red heart, you can redeem it at the bottom of the post, or if you want to pass it to a friend press the two arrows button next to it to recycle the heart. ANYWAY, this shot here, was taken directly from the seen during the the raids on the beaches of Akane, when both Sting and Rogue had been caught in a quicksand trap by the SINISTER Bickslow. Where does Stingue apply to this? You may ask. Well, just outside the frame, we can’t see (but we know its true) that everyone is running around them to get ahead, because even the background characters like Natsu and Gajeel (may the dragons bless his sacrifice for the sins of fairy tail) know that they are romantically involved, but the scene cuts to black to see fresh teaming up with stings cat whatever its name (Bradley or doug or something) to save them, but off screen, they literally reach out and HOLD HANDS in the scene. THEY THOUGHT THEY WOULD DIE but their only thoughts were their mutual love for eachother. If that story didn’t make you cry, then I don’t know what did.

But OP I hear some of you asking, if they’re in a relationship, WHY havent they been openly talking about the more intimate side of their relationship? First of all, go reread the manga, second of all, this point is for you. Read Exibit C. Now, I’m sure this doesn’t need any explanation, it’s a completely self-explanatory point. But for some It is necessary, and I shall provide. These two were getting very lovey dovey during a date together, they were going on a walk in the forest and oh my, a river, and how did they get across? Stepping stones! The reason why it says a “Person stepping contest” rather than a “Stepping stones constest” is because of a translation error, no need to elaborate further. Another point to be made, more specific to this panel, is the character in the background, that very few people noticed on their first few reads, is Gandalf! Now, I’ll give you a chance to pick up your phone/ipad/PC/book after you all dropped it in shock, because that’s a lot to take in. But how does it relate to the ship? Well, Gandalf is a very close word to Gander, the word for an adult male goose, which in fairy tail culture is an animal associated with passion and romance, so Gandalfs presence obviously correlates with that. He has appeared in every single manga panel with rogue and sting in the background, further proof that they have a romantic, passionate relationship.

My next point relates to the games, which I have played time and time again just for this one cutscene. During the Mt. Hakobe chapter, the two were forced to travel up the mountain to obtain the fabled dragonberry from the mountain, in order to save Rogues adoptive mother/auntie dragon. The following dialogue ensued, starting with rogue: “Heya fresh, do you think you could pass me the beans? They’re in the backpack” (fresh was in rogues backpack at the time), fresh responded with a mix between a meow and a ribbet, and sting responded with the following: “Hahah, not more beans! It’ll stink both of our sleeping bags up for when we’re cuddled up in the tent!”. Rogue proceeded to blush and a quick time event occurred. Their obvious lovers banter shows more then enough to prove that in the games, both characters are incredibly infatuated with eachother, because as Dr Seuss (with help from me) said: “You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because” “Rogue keeps eating all the beans before sleeping”.

Now my final point in this essay is how syncronised they are. Besides the obvious romantic tension when they do their special move where their massive balls touch (obvious gay symbolism), they’re also syncronised in many other things. Most notably, finishing eachothers sentences, read exhibit D. The example above shows this, where Sting says “Ah!!!” and Rogue finishes it off by saying “!!”, a reference to Stings famous catchphrase, “Ah!!!!!”, but this time rogue added on the last 2 exclamation marks, showing a clear understanding of eachothers speech patterns and mannerisms.

In conclusion, Sting and Rogue are the love of eachothers life, which has been clearly seen throughout the Manga, Anime and Game (s)(?) If you have yet to be convinced by this essay, then I thoroughly recommend you to reread the essay if you aren’t. but if you have been convinced, congratulations, you are officially a stingue shipper, welcome to the club, no, the family. I myself am an honorary member of  the fairy tail community, according to a friend of mine, so I’m qualified to tell you that you will fit right in.

(There was another point to be made about some random person drawing art of the two of them looking at eachothers balls and blushing, but they were mere amateurs without proper understanding of fairy tail as a franchise, so I left it out.)

When he realized he liked you it was an extremely strange moment for him. He spent years and years loving Akane and one day, after seeing your smile that he had already seen before, he thought about how you would be by his side in a romantic sense. He spent days locked in the house trying to understand why suddenly Akane was no longer in his thoughts when he thought about love, but you were there in her place

It often happens that we go out with Inui, all three of us together. Well, in that case forget about existing, he'll be with his best friend all the time. But if he sees you feeling really down about it, he'll make it up to you by holding your hand as he continues talking

Once we got together, he got it into his head that he had to give you something as gift at least once every 2 weeks. He has the money, so why not make yourself happy with what you like?

Precisely for the previous reason, it often happens that during your outings he pays attention to what you are looking at. Do you like a particular type of shoe or bag? Or maybe a more expensive brand of lip gloss? Don't worry, you will have it in a short time

He likes to see you with his clothes on, and he actually has a fairly androgynous way of dressing: he has both purely masculine and feminine clothes, he definitely has some women's elegant shirts in his wardrobe but he uses them anyway because he likes them. In my opinion he has something in particular for women who wear a tie... I don't know why (me like him honestly)

Romantic outings with matching clothes? ABSOLUTELY YES. He loves to match colors that he considers "elegant" such as white, burgundy red or even gold

He knows perfectly well that he is not the perfect boyfriend, he is often afraid that you will become paranoid that he is only with you because you somehow remind him of Inui's sister. He wants to open up the topic and reassure you that he loves you because you are you, but he's afraid that out of panic he might say something wrong that he doesn't really mean

It happened that he had his makeup done by you, but he wouldn't leave the house with your makeup. He, on his own, only wears that sort of eyeliner with that mini red line, and that's already a lot for him. The first time he had his make-up done by you and left the house he suffered comments from Inui (who strangely laughed when he saw him) for at least a week

In my opinion it is something that is very attached to his family (even if nothing is known in the manga). He would be keen to introduce you to his parents once you have spent some time together, but he would be afraid of being introduced to yours. He knows he's good-looking and relatively polite and therefore wouldn't make a bad impression, but it's precisely the fact of meeting your parents that scares him

He LOVES when you fix his quiff. He knows his haircut is a little difficult to manage with that side of hair settle back and the other all curly, but when you offered to help him with his hair he felt really happy. He likes it when you play with his hair when he's bored, and even more so when you help him

My personal headcanon ‘human’ names for the gang. Japanese because I’m a shameless otaku.

(Gotta say it was really, really hard to find somewhat neutral names that also still related to their color, especially with orange.)

Names are family name first as per Japanese customs.

The Second Coming: Sairin 再臨 再臨 = second coming I think it’d be very funny and fitting to have TSC be the only one with just a single name that is just literally the Japanese version of “the second coming” because it stands out a lot.

Green: Midorikawa Matsuri 緑川 松里 緑 = green 川 = river 松 = pine tree 里 = location Pine trees are evergreen trees, meaning they always stay green. Alliteration is always nice.

Red: Kouya Akane 紅夜 茜 紅 = red 夜 = night 茜 = red (specifically a type of red that’s called ‘rose madder’)

Blue: Aoharu Mizuki 青春 水月 青 = blue (the word 青 itself can also be interpreted as green as well as blue. It typically depends on context; though it is ‘teal’ in a technical sense and ‘azure’ in a poetic one. It’s an East Asian thing) 春 = spring 水 = water 月 = moon I just think 水月 is a cute name. Two characters I know are also named 水月 and they’re both blue-themed as well.

Yellow: Kise Hikari 黄瀬 光 黄 = yellow 瀬 = current 光 = light Redstone can be seen as a sort of current that runs through other blocks to make them work in a poetic kind of sense.

Purple: Fujiwara Yukari 藤原 紫 藤 = wisteria 原 = field 紫 = purple In this case, 紫 is also intended as a shortened form of 紫苑, the tatarian aster flower that means “I won’t forget you” in hanakotoba.

King Orange/Mango: Sayu Hachirou 小百 八郎 小 = small 百 = hundred 八 = eight 郎 = son

Now I know this one is a bit unusual and I might’ve bent the language and what is considered a name just a bit to make it work. But that’s all because I put quite something in it, and I think that it’d only be fitting for it to be unusual. As a first, to tie in with Purple, his name contains 小百, which is part of 小百合, the orange lily that means “hatred” and “revenge” in hanakotoba. 百八 is also the number 108 together, the number of temptations a person has to withstand to reach nirvana.

After redemption he would change his family name to 百日(hyakuni), swapping the position of the 百 (to show a turnaround) and subsequently inducing 百日草, the zinnia flower (which also comes in orange) that means “loyalty”.

百 can also be pronounced as “momo”, a homophone with a pronunciation of the word 桃, “peach” which has pink flowers, secretly linking him to Purple’s mother (and indicating him as Purple’s new family/parental figure depending on your interpretation).

(You might also have noticed that 百 has 3 different pronunciations. That’s a thing.)

Suddenly their body temperature keeps getting colder everyday, they dont have any blush on their cheeks and sometimes their hearing dont even work 😭 the characters eventually found out smth is wrong and thats when you confess you died ever since you fought with that supernatural but your body is still functioning (lets leave the reason on how exactly does that work) You dont know how much longer you can last until the seconds drain out (the r in reader stands for rip)

- For a while he just continues to stare at you in not only shock but with disappointment as well.

- Teru dislikes the supernatural and when he finds out that his s/o is one, he doesn’t know how to handle it.

- “Teru I’m sorry… If been meaning to tell you after that day..” you confess as you start tearing up “The day we fought that supernatural I died, and I didn’t know how to tell you so I kept quiet..”

- Teru just continued to stare, eventually he just turns around and walks away

- After that day you avoided him, you couldn’t stand yourself for what you did so instead you just hid yourself from not only Teru, but your friends as well..

Akane

- I feel like he discovered you were dead when you guys were eating lunch

- The reason being is because I feel like Akane likes spice and when he fed you something spicy

- You didn’t turn red even if you were fanning your face

- But a few days later you dragged him into the janitors closet and told him

- Even though he knew, he felt really guilty because he felt like he was supposed to be your knight and shining armour

- You kept telling him that it wasn’t his fault but he just sobbed his eyes out as he held you repeatedly apologizing

Super pretty Nene that looks angry/ determined! I think this illustration is depicting after the new timeline red house arc! She's trying to escape the clock at her feet, maybe symbolizing the new timeline... I love the resolved look in her eyes!

For some reason Aoi looks very scared??? If I guess correctly and this is supposed to foreshadow the next events, I think something big might happen to her. Maybe she'll suffer consequences for learning about supernaturals when she is supposed to belong to this world. I can't tell if she looks scared or sad, maybe she'll learn or witness something? Hopefully nothing will happen to her during/after their escape!

Terry is clearly glaring and looks angry. His hand-on-sword/ ready to fight pose makes him seem like he is preparing to attack? Maybe defend something? From their positions, it kinda looks like he is protecting Aoi? It's so rare seeing him with a frown in official art (I think? Most of the time he is smiling/neutral and never openly angry) ( I might be wrong tho). Seems like he is very. Very pissed. If this art does represent future events, then we'll probably be able to see a very upset Terry soon! Seems like he isn't entirely destroyed by the events/ will get a hold of himself at some point at least. I would really like to see shattered Teru and him having some focus so... Hope it's the second option!

Kou and Mitsuba in the shadows, only a little light on them... This probably pictures them a bit before y'know.... Hope they're peaceful at least for now! Btw I kinda forgot how good Mitsuba looks with the Kamome uniform! And You behind him raiteijou in his hand! Maybe we can expect a flashback chapter explaining what happened exactly to them both?

Kako- he looks so detached from everything like totally peaceful and all. I mean he's a supernatural after all! Judging by his prominance in the art, we can expect an impactful Kako return! Seeing his stance and the way he holds his cane firmly I'm not sure the group will succeed at convincing him to help them go back. He looks so...in control here? Btw the shape of his cane is kinda interesting, looks like a sun, that is for some reason really present in this art

There, and the main color being yellow. Is it the clock keepers représentative symbol? (Can't find it on Kane tho. Maybe it is related to their origins). Maybe the yellow is foreshadowing a return to the clock keepers boundary / judgment court (it was golden if I remember correctly)!

Mirai I absolutely stunning here! She seems kinda serious for once?? Not grinning or anything (well still not serious serious but huuh at least focused?) love her bangs, love her pose, love the green in her hair! She's the only keeper whose clock we can see worn in the art! Can't wait to see the Kako-Mirai duo in the next chapters!

Akane absolutely stunning he's devouring he's killing it here. He looks resigned/determined? I'm happy to see his resolve after the... Kou... incident.........He'll probably try his best to bring the old world back. For some reason he's the one holding the Yorishiro... And in a secretive and mysterious way too, putting it at his mouth.I wonder what that could mean. Did he steal it? Maybe he will use it when trying to activate the big clock? Maybe it somehow has a connection to him?? Speculations speculations! But I guess we'll get to see his supernatural form really soon! Can't wait to see what (prob.big) role he'll play in the next chapters!

Yugi Amane!!! Is that professor Yugi or old timeline Yugi tho? He's wearing short sleeves so I guess it's old timeline Yugi but his face looks pretty mature too! He's repairing the big clock...I think we'll learn more about his connexions with the clock keepers really soon!

That's definitely not the big clock. If you compare it to the actual one, we can see that this one's number is in letters and it doesn't have the black circles design/ smaller arrows on it. My guess are that this is Kako's! Looks very similar to the one in Mirai's hand and we can again find the sun-like design of his cane as an arrow this time...That makes me think. Nene seems to be trying to escape this clock, who is presumably Kako's. Is the grandpa going to be an antagonist this time? Ahhhh I'm so hyped!!

Now this is me totally outstretched but can you see the clock almost hitting 6? Maybe we'll see Hakubo again before the end of the arc... (I'm totally overanalyzing this omg)

Lastly these huuuh film rolls? The one used in movies. I wonder what the numbers could mean- maybe nothing at all, maybe foreshadowing. Could they represent all the realities Kako- and Mirai created by altering the timelines? Then maybe we'll see an insight on their journey.

Anyways 10/10 art colors are beautiful, composition incredible, love the wheels and mechanical components scattered everywhere, the blue and yellow theme is incredible and clock keepers back in full force!!! Kudos to AidaIro, they nailed month's chapter and art, this is soo soooo good. I'm definitely hyped for the future events!

there's something interesting about the color-coding of the morphogenetic field -- there is no such thing as a PURE transmitter or receiver, but for some transmitting comes more easily, and for others receiving does. the CG for demonstrating the morphogenetic field puts the transmitter in red and the receiver in blue.

the kurashiki siblings as children: akane wears pink (lighter red) and a red tie; aoi has blue accents

the fields: clover wears a brighter pink than akane (closer to red) and snake has a blue jacket

junpei wears red AND blue, and akane wears purple (a mixture of the two)

this philosophy remains somewhat consistent for VLR:

Clover is still wearing pink (red)

Junpei isn't wearing any red anymore -- he isn't trying to transmit anymore

but what interests me the most is the fact that Sigma and Phi are both blue (receiver) while Old Man Zero Sigma is red (transmitter). They are all both transmitting and receiving -- but their roles are different. Sigma and Phi in the future are going to receive their consciousnesses from the past, and old Sigma is going to transmit his to the past.
