Red Dead Redemption 2 College AU !
I'm ignoring reqs for a bit to indulge in my own thoughts and ideas and write some hcs for my college au on what i think their majors/lives as students/professors would be like, ahem... Long post ahead. Also this isn't too well thought out as of now, just wrote down some fun thoughts. Plz tell me your own headcannons
Tumblr media
Arthur Morgan - Fine Arts
THE MOST UNEXPECTED MAJOR FOR A GUY LIKE HIM. He's the guy who's seen around campus wearing leather jackets, riding his motorcycle, brooding over a cup of coffee while he stares off aimlessly into the sky. So imagine him walking into your visual arts class with some of the most beautiful drawings you've ever seen. Has his own apartment near campus and his roommate is Charles. Entire place is littered with sketches and art supplies and billions of projects. His hands are constantly stained with charcoal. Takes his major VERY seriously, he don't play about his drawings and paintings. Works at a college bar and constantly comes home with a new story. Frequently visits John and the others after joining the frat, especially when they have parties. Never misses out on those. Became friends with Lenny through these parties.
John Marston - Civil Engineering
Probably one of the most miserable engineering majors you'll ever see. And that's only because he doesn't stress out over his work and procrastinates like he hasn't a care in the world; seemingly forgets he's in college. That is until the deadline is 11:59 PM that night and he has to cram two weeks worth of assignments into one night. Complains about heart palpitations when the area surrounding his desk is littered with energy cans. Joined a fraternity as soon as possible and lives in the housing. Party animal, drinks on weekdays with Sean and Javier. Throws absolute ragers on the weekends. Is the guy to yell "IF YOU'RE NOT PART OF THIS FRAT, THEN GET THE FUCK OUT" before turning to you and asking if you had fun. Has missed his 9 AM several times because he either slept in or is hung over. Was probably community dick for a while. Works at McDonald's part time, people genuinely don't know how he handles the stress. 60% of his paycheck goes to liquor/alcohol.
Javier Escuella - Music Theory
PASSIONATE about his major. HE DON'T PLAY ABOUT HIS MUSIC. But I can totally see him as the type of dude to sit around on the campus lawn with a guitar as a group of girls surrounds him and listens to him play. Is in the frat with John and lives in it as well. Also plays his guitar at parties with girls surrounding him, starkly contrasting the EDM and house music in the background. Shows up to class regardless of hangovers, he is very serious about his education. As serious as he is about partying. Shows up to class fitted every single time. Probably has outfit changes between classes. Type of guy to have his fits laid out next to his bed. He does the most. Was also probably community dick. Works as a cook at a restaurant, constantly flirts with you there. Gets all giddy in the kitchen with his coworkers when he manages to make you giggle.
Charles Smith - Anthropology
It's him and his laptop against the world. He's super neat, everything in one place. Any papers he gets are all neatly kept away and categorized per class. Is hard at work on writing an ethnography and is frequently out and about for observations. If he's not out then he's at home working on assignments. Also a frat member but like I said, rooms with Arthur. Has gained the quiet serious type reputation in class but once you start talking to him discover he's very friendly and nice. Probably works on campus as a student ambassador. Is very involved with school and activities; runs an enviornmental sciences club. Dedicates several hours a night to studying/working on assignments. Amazing student all around. The way he has his life together is enviable.
Kieran Duffy - Equine Studies
LITERALLY PERFECT MAJOR FOR HIM. Literally the happiest student around, his classroom is the stables. Works at the stables as well. Just spends 99% of his time at the stables so catching him outside of there is nearly impossible. Gossips to the horses and tells them about his day. I feel like he'd fall behind in his other studies though because he'd be way too focused on the horses. Typical, struggling student. Joined a frat out of pressure, got the WORST of the hazing. I don't even want to begin to imagine what the rituals were like. Probably gets black out drunk at frat parties, ends up on the front lawn and wakes up half naked every weekend somehow.
Sean Macguire - Business Administration
He's just insufferable like that. Whenever people shit on his major he just finds a thousand bullshit reasons as to why his major is better and more lucrative. Complains to John how hard his homework is and when John asks to see his screen it's addition with pictures. Probably went to college to party and realized "oh shit I actually gotta do school". Googled the highest paying and easiest majors and chose it like that. Puts more thought into what beer he's going to buy at the liquor store than his studies. Hotboxes his car 24/7. His room REEKS of weed and so does he. Attempts to disguise it with ax body spray. Will always ask you if you want to wake and bake; regardless of if you do or don't accept he's showing up to class high and with sunglasses. Goes nonverbal when he greens out. Works at McDonald's with John, is constantly late and is warned he might get fired but never does. Just fucks around in the back. I can imagine he and Karen are constantly on and off but when they're off he brings a new girl home to the frat every night.
Lenny Summers - Literature Major
Joined the frat because he thought he'd make good connections (LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER). One of the youngest pledges, went easier on him with the hazing. He's incredibly focused on his studies. You'd be surprised to find out he's a party animal as well because he's constantly reading a book in his free time. Definitely joined a book club with Mary-Beth and is taking Dutch's English class. Works on campus as well as the library; prides himself on his work and education. I believe he'd dorm because there's no way he's living in that filthy frat. Super organized dorm. Became really good friends with Arthur during one of the parties, also became close with Sean. Frequently gets driven around by Sean and gets second hand high from being in his car.
Bill Williamson - Army
Out of everyone he went to the army instead of college. But he definitely still hangs with the frat when he can simply because he's friends with a few of them. Frequently buys them liquor and supplies it to the younger members. Asks them how their classes are going and ends up falling into a rabbit hole where he's learning about infrastructure planning or astrophysics and tries his hand at doing their homework for them. It goes terribly. Drives a beat up pickup truck and you can hear that mf coming down the road 3 blocks away. Subtly tries (and fails) at flirting with some of the frat members.
Micah Bell - Criminal Law Major
Insufferable. Need I say more. Very money centric. Definitely thinks he's better than you because he's a law student. Kisses the professors’ ass all the time. Joins study groups and acts as if he's the smartest one there, tries to lead conversations, and views it as a challenge if anyone says differently than him during said discussions. He probably has an internship at a firm. Oh my god I can just imagine how sleazy he is. Also part of the frat and several of the members do not like him. Harasses the girls that show up. I can see him cutting off people during class or talking over them. Type of guy to say "not to be devil's advocate, but..."
Pearson - Culinary Degree
Came back to school to get his culinary degree. Mostly keeps to himself but has become acquainted with a few people and is actually decent friends with some. Pretty serious about his studies but is also chill, you can just tell he's extremely passionate about what he does. Excuses himself from hangouts by saying "sorry I got a pie due at 3." Loves it when he's able to sell some of his products back to students/general public and see how people react. Dreams of opening his own restaurant so he takes the accounting/marketing aspects of his degree very seriously.
Abigail Roberts - Education Major
I CAN JUST SEE IT YK. I can totally see her being a teacher, and she's super hardworking. I feel like her schedule is jam packed so she hardly ever has time for fun. Studies, does homework, student teaching, and takes care of herself and her son. So yeah imagine how busy she is all the time. Occasionally leaves Jack with his grandparents for a night of fun but that is few and far in between. Joined a sorority for support but wouldn't live in the house. Lives in the same complex as Arthur and they get along, sometimes he offers to babysit Jack. Drops off food for her when she's real busy with her studies. NEVER late to class. And besides handling ALL THIS, she'd work as a waitress at a restaurant by campus. Talk about hard working.
Sadie Adler - Agricultural Sciences
Definitely moved to live on campus from a rural town to pursue her degree. Joined the sorority early on but dorms. Suffered a breakup and found solace in the community the girls provided. Works at a local supermarket and volunteers at a community garden nearby. Her dorm is full of potted plants. Became really good friends with Arthur through Abigail, who has her over at times. I feel like she'd be asked on dates frequently but she always turns em down because she's still struggling to accept her breakup. I'm not making it a death because this AU isn't that BRUTAL. Argues with the boys often. Pearson frequents the supermarket she works at and she always makes a comment on the strange ingredients he buys. Thus leading to a weird tense air between them that they never directly address. Enjoys her coursework and never falls behind. She's on top of that shit. Also very outspoken in class.
Karen Jones - Biological Sciences
PREMED BABYYYY. On the path to becoming a nurse. She procrastinates a lot, is often late to class, BEGS her professors for extensions. Truth is she's a party girl and she will NEVER give up that party life. Constantly at several different frat parties, gets black out drunk on Saturdays, and on Sundays she's studying for her bio exam on Monday. Complains to her sorority sisters about boys, particularly Sean, to the point where they all HATE any man she gets involved with. And the next time they see Sean in public they're all glaring DAGGERS at him. Parties aside she does her work even if she puts it off... Her grades are decent, definitely passing, but everyone tells her she's gonna need to do better if she wants to go to med school. I can see her working at a retail store like Walgreens. Most miserable cashier you'll ever see. Probably lets you walk out with your items for free if she's particularly pissed off at work that day.
Tilly Jackson - Physics Major
SHE IS A SMART GIRL. One of the most hardworking on this list. Her grades are top notch and she don't play about studying. I can see her offering tutoring for math and even getting paid for it. She is not one to be underestimated when it comes to her academic abilities. Occasionally parties (aka gets dragged along by Karen) and enjoys herself, but I can't see her being a major party animal. Offers Karen lots of advice as well as helping the girls with math assignments when they need it. Joins study groups as well as math clubs. Works at a cafe on campus where Mary-Beth and Lenny visit her occasionally. Generally well organized. Has her shit together.
Mary-Beth Gaskill - Literature Major
ALWAYS has her nose in a book. Becomes extremely engaged in class discussions and has probably read every single book required for the semester already. Works at a bookstore and frequents the campus library. Is on the chiller side of partying but still accompanies the girls. She's very reserved but can be quite friendly. Writes fanfiction in the back of class while her professors think she's just passionately writing a report. Always gets extensions from Dutch, always. Even when she doesn't need em. I can see her reading a lot of philosophy books. Also an Otessa Moshfegh fan. Colleen Hoover is her guilty pleasure. Runs a blog about the books she reads. I can also imagine her being part of the school paper. Real close with Lenny as well, often hangs out with him at the cafe Tilly works at.
Molly O'Shea - Cosmetology
Shows up to her 8 AM with a BEAT face. Full face of makeup, decked head to toe in designer: designer purse where she keeps her macbook, designer shoes, outfit, accessories, etc. Probably wears brands you've never even heard of. Has a crush on Dutch, only reason she has perfect attendance in his class. Has a grudge towards Mary-Beth. Dorms for sure, even though she'd be able to afford housing nearby. The only times she's at the dorm is in the morning getting ready for class or at night to sleep. Hardly talks to her roommate either, not even a hey. Gained the stuck up rich girl reputation from her peers. Seen at cafes in between classes and is always alone. Is out of town and has been struggling to make friends. Lots of guys ask her out on dates and she only accepts when she's bored and wants a free meal. WILL make y'all go to a steakhouse, WILL order the most expensive thing on the menu.
Dutch Van Der Linde - English/Philosophy Professor
This guy definitely speaks about philosophy with a PASSION. His class is very engaging, though I do believe he'd play favorites with a few female students... This goes for both classes. Constant open ended discussions. Type of professor to ask you "but what do the blue curtains mean...?" Hardass with assignments unless you're one of those favored female students. No late assignments with him ever. You either turn it in at the deadline or you don't ever. I feel like he'd forget to take attendance frequently despite being a hardass about that too. Probably the type of professor that tries to integrate himself with the student body and try to fit in. Mildly successful.
Hosea Matthews - Theatre Professor
THE SWEETEST, KINDEST, MOST COMPASSIONATE PROFESSOR. ALWAYS excuses late assignments and very lenient, will not deduce points. His class is very fun and engaging as well! Does what Dutch tries to do and makes genuine connections with his students while keeping it professional. Tells his students they can always talk to him and come for advice. Frequently has lunch with Dutch and Susan and talks up just how great his classes are. Frequents the library and local bookstores; also goes to the cafe Tilly works at. I also feel like a lot of his relationships would have a fatherly air around them, like he's a second dad for a few of the students (we know who...).
Leopold Strauss - Business Professor
YOU CANNOT TELL ME HE WOULDN'T UGH. Probably a super boring class I'm not gonna lie. His accent would probably make it hard for some students to understand what he's saying, not to mention he probably speaks super softly and not loud enough for everyone to hear. He should've retired by now but he refuses to. There is no syllabus week with him, you got homework on the first day. But it's probably not even hard c'mon. Sean is probably the most lively thing about his class, but he's definitely falling asleep in there frequently. Always late to his own class, doesn't even say why, just gets into lecturing. NEVER seen without a cup of coffee. Sometimes there will be long moments of silence between lectures as he tries to figure out the technology. Falls asleep in his car after class.
Orville Swanson - Theology Professor
Also a super chill professor. He's probably super open to his classes about his struggles. He's able to facilitate well structured discussions and keep things civilized amongst his students. I feel like it could get boring because it's mostly lectures and slide shows but he'd still find a way to keep his students engaged, especially on discussions. I feel like he'd also be lenient about assignments, but his assignments would be rather large. Back to back papers. Type of professor to say hi to you in the halls or outside of campus and ask about your day. 10/10 guy.
Uncle - Biology Professor
How is he still working here. HOW hasn't he retired. WHY hasn't he retired. SOMEONE PLEASE make him retire. There are pros and cons. You will learn NOTHING in his class, so if you're unfortunate enough to land his class you better drop that shit as soon as possible. If you for some reason stay, you must be some sort of masochist. Probably has the best stories. As soon as you think he's about to start lecturing he goes on a tangent about a story that happened to him the other day. He has weekly tests and you might as well teach yourself the material because his ass definitely isn't doing it. Also has plenty of labs so he can leave you all to your own devices amongst each other while he sits at his desk and does who knows what. You can probably find him sleeping in a student lounge at any time of the day. Also the frat guys have definitely run into him at the liquor store.
Susan Grimshaw - History Professor/Sorority Mother
She's hard on you but only because she cares. Isn't very lenient when it comes to assignments but she's involved with her students. If she sees you struggling she'll pull you aside and ask what's up and figure out a plan to help you out in her class. Likes to remind her students she isn't their mommy but has a very motherly air surrounding her. And she is VERY on top of her girls. As a sorority mother, she makes sure they eat well, stay on top of studies, and deals with parents. Encourages the girls to keep up the general cleanliness of the house and tells them to work as a unit. Extremely proud of each of them.

“You get ten seconds,” said Milton. “Ten… nine…” Hosea could glimpse movement from inside the bank. Bill rushing to the back of the room. Dutch handing the saddlebag over his shoulder off to Micah. “Eight… seven… six…” For as long as he had known him, Hosea had known Dutch’s greatest strength and his greatest failing to be one and the same. He was willing to do anything. “Five… four…” What would be the consequence this time? What new direction would Dutch send the gang spinning off in? Hosea couldn’t predict it. He never could. “Three… two…” When it came down to the wire, when all other options were exhausted, when lives were on the line, what would Dutch van der Linde do? “One.”
A what-if alternate universe in which Hosea survives the St. Denis bank robbery, lives to see the downward spiral of the gang, and knows he has to do something.
This idea has been *well* over a year in the coming-up-with and will likely be just as long (or even longer) in the actually-writing. So come along with me as I set out on another extremely long passion project labor of love. I hope you enjoy the ride!
And of course thank you as always to the ever wonderful @rhys-is-puffs for helping me get this crazy idea off the ground and for their endless support :)

A Man From Another Time
Tumblr media
A new one ! No need to remind you about my very strange writing schedules lmao This one came out of a corner of my mind as I asked myself "what if Arthur travelled with Francis Sinclair to 2023 ?"
I think I'll be doing a whole series of Modern!Arthur ! I just love picturing him trying things from the 21st century and being like totally thrilled by his discoveries !
And look at these absolutely gorgeous blue dotted socks
Modern - Arthur Morgan x GenderNeutral!Reader
Word count : 3.1k
Short summary : Somehow, Arthur has time-travelled with you to your own era, and discovers a world he never thought about.
A/Note : It’s based on a French experience, forgive me if it’s inaccurate.
Tags : cute, Arthur being like a kid, modern technologies, where are horses ?, overwhelmed boah, time-travelling, from 1899 to 2023, Francis Sinclair, post chapter 6
******
"Where are the horses ?"
This was the very first thing Arthur asked when you took him out in the city you were living in. His arrival at your place was rather strange and sudden as you woke up one night with him standing in your living room, completely unfazed and scared about something that might have happened earlier on. You had switched all lights on, absolutely terrified by this tall man wearing a union-suit, covered in bruises, coughing blood, unarmed, who looked at you with fear in his eyes. The only thing which made you keep your calm was Francis Sinclair, who was with him, holding him by the shoulders.
"We need some help here !" Francis had told you
You had met Francis while having a drink at the bar. He had first told you about time-travelling, you did not expect it to be true until he made you go through a door which led you straight to Saint-Denis, somewhere in 1899. Francis was a very peculiar man who had enjoyed playing with your thoughts about time-travelling. You never expected to move from an era to another, being somewhat scared to cause a paradox which would lead to some serious issues in your own time. You had watched many movies about paradoxes and did not want ending up into one of them.
The very first thing Francis had explained you was that Arthur had a tuberculosis, leading you to rush to your car in the middle of the night to drive to the nearest hospital. Arthur was absolutely mortified when he got inside, not saying a single word, even when you got to the hospital and dragged him inside. He coughed, still shaken and limping. Francis kept explaining him that you were going to see a doctor, but Arthur felt scared by what was happening. He had followed Francis into this strange door leading to your place, and there he was, with all these folks wearing white blouses and masks surrounding him. He had to remain at the hospital for a few days for his health to stabilise itself with the set of antibiotics given to him. You heard his voice for the first time when he got surprised by the doctor’s response to his illness.
"Tuberculosis has a cure ?"
Yes, his illness had a cure, there was enough hope for him to survive with the modern medicine. If Francis had decided to leave him behind in 1899, Arthur would have died on the top of that mountain in Roanoke Ridge. Francis had brought him to you right after Dutch had abandoned him, and Arthur was still devastated by this set of events that had happened a few minutes ago. In fact, he unexpectedly tried looking around the room to spot you nearby, afraid someone else was about to abandon him. You could not do that, you could not leave this poor man behind.
"You’re gonna be okay, sir." a nurse told him. "What’s your name ?"
"Arthur…" he groaned. "Arthur Morgan... I…I was…-"
"It’s okay, you’re okay."
Tears started streaming on his cheeks as they put an oxygen mask over his bruised face, you had watched him from distance while Francis had explained you the whole situation about Arthur’s old gang falling apart, his father-figure turning against him, his overall sacrifice for his brother. You felt the need to take care of him, Francis did not bring him to you by mistake, he knew you would help.
"It’s alright Arthur, we’re gonna take care of you." the nurse had told Arthur to calm him down
You had spent that night next to Arthur’s bed at the hospital, holding his hand while he was coughing, sobbing while remembering these past events, the way Dutch had betrayed him. You had tried your best to calm him down all night long, almost feeling devastated for this man you did not even know, ready to give up a piece of your own freedom to nurse him back to health and, probably, make him forget about his former life. He was certainly going to have some hard time to accommodate to this world, 124 years ahead of his time.
****
You had been taking care of Arthur for weeks already, Francis having been gone somewhere, leaving you alone with this peculiar roommate. You gave him your room, sleeping on the sofa of the living room in order to provide him with his own personal space and not bother him while you were either cooking, doing your laundry, watching tv or even working from home. For the first few days, Arthur hardly left your room, feeling constantly tired and mostly unable to walk around your place, only making it to the bathroom. These antibiotics given to him were certainly a cause to this permanent exhaustion, but he did not mind. He thanked you for nursing him back to health and being so kind with him perhaps twice a day.
His attitude was sweet, if not downright clingy at times. Arthur’s overall trauma following Dutch’s abandonment led him to develop a permanent need to have you around him, you could not spend a whole day at your workplace because you knew how much your guest longed to have you with him. After searching on the internet, you had found that Arthur was most likely suffering from a severe PTSD, but you did not mind. In fact, you enjoyed having Arthur near you, knowing he was feeling relaxed by hearing your footsteps, your voice, or by just seeing you.
Arthur had put all his trust on you since you brought him back from the hospital. Despite displaying his usual rowdy behaviour at times, he still obeyed your rules. You liked his overall presence at home, it made your life more enchanting to know that you were not going back to your empty place, but were going to see Arthur. It certainly brought the two of you quite close, enough for you to start displaying some physical affection towards him., something he had mostly forgotten following his arrival at your place. Sometimes, you would run your fingers in his hair, and he adored that. He adored everything you were doing to him. You were like an angel, his saviour. The one who almost brought him back to life.
Some moments were certainly funnier than others. When Arthur started feeling better, he finally had the occasion to take a shower instead of rubbing some wet cloth on his body. Poor man spent about ten minutes trying to figure out how your shower worked, absolutely shocked to feel hot water coming of it. You could hear him laugh, not used to this peculiar feeling it gave him. It tickled him ! Sometimes, he would even sing under shower, humming a few old songs with his rather raspy voice. At some point, he nearly broke your hairdryer, not fully understanding how it worked. Oh, and also your coffee machine. Arthur was not good with modern technologies yet.
You had seen him glance through the window for days, looking around your room, reading some of the books you had on your shelves. Once he felt better, he even walked inside the living room and was absolutely amazed by the TV, looking around to see where the projectionist platform was. He had jumped back when you switched it on, swearing at your TV for being so loud. When he first saw your phone laying on the counter, he took it between his hands and genuinely believed it was some piece of decoration.
"What’s that ?" he had asked, not understanding what this device was, looking like a very tiny TV screen
"It’s a phone. I’ll get you one, someday."
"That lil’ thing’s a phone ? You gotta be kiddin’ me !"
"You can even take instant pictures with it. And record stuff."
"Instant pictures and record ? But can you still call folks ?"
Arthur’s rather childish fascination for the modern world was fun to watch. It took you about a week to explain him how your TV worked, how your laptop could be switched on, how he could use your keyboard, having been used to typewriters… or to his own hands. His face, whenever you were switching your phone or your laptop on, was absolutely priceless ! You saw him randomly gaze the ceiling, trying to understand how your light bulb worked from up there. At some point, he kept playing with the switch, being mesmerised by how quick your lights could switch on and off.
"What a progress !" he exclaimed
You had introduced him to 20th century music, he seemed to be fond of rock and roll and awkwardly had danced on some songs from The Doors or The Rolling Stones. At least, he was doing much better than the day Francis brought him, even when he was listening to sad songs like the ones from Johnny Cash. His overall fascination for modern music was beautiful to witness, he even shed tears while listening to some songs he found sad. It was so hard for him to accommodate to this world, but listening to modern music made it easier.
At some point, you decided to take him out to show him the world you lived in. You had bought Arthur some clothes from local thrift stores after explaining him how men were dressing themselves up. He loved tee-shirts and sweatpants, you had mostly seen him wandering around your place dressed in those. Knowing you were going outside to take a walk, Arthur decided to ditch his sweatpants to wear some jeans instead. It suited him well ! You had trimmed his hair every three months, no one would have thought that man was from 1899 at first sight… until he would start talking.
As soon you left your place, Arthur felt overwhelmed by the world surrounding him. He had not stepped a foot outside your place since you brought him back from the hospital following his diagnosis. His first remark was quick to come, he came from 1899, when cars were far from being as popular as they at your time. Where were the horses ? You took your time to explain him that these shiny metallic figures on four wheels were the equivalent stagecoaches, and that motorcycles could be seen as the modern version of horses. At first, Arthur believed horses were all gone.
"So you killed all horses ?!" he gasped, looking somewhat angered and shocked
"Of course not !" you chuckled. "We just don’t use them anymore, but we don’t kill them. Cars are way faster than horses, so that’s why they got built. For us to travel faster."
"What’s the point of goin’ faster if you can’t take time to look around ?"
"Our society makes us want things fast, and cars are one of the tools which allows us to be faster."
Arthur nodded. What an overwhelming sight, a massive amount of information to process ! He wanted to analyse one of the cars parked nearby and moved on to the road to gaze at the wheels, a bus nearly ran into him as you jerked him towards you. Arthur looked petrified when as the bus passed by so fast, clinging his fists onto your shirt. He was obviously not used to see vehicles move at such speed!
"Good lord !" he gasped. "I nearly got killed right here !"
"Alright, I think you’re going to hold my hand."
Arthur did not respond, he did not even react when you grabbed his hand. You started walking on the sidewalk, keeping Arthur close to you while he kept looked around, nearly stumbling a few times, not looking where he was going. You almost felt like you had a giant child with you as he spent about a third of his time asking you what this place was, why there were green and red lights, why the buildings were sometimes this high, where were the sherifs. At some point, he even stopped your walk to glance at the store, exposing clothes for women. Some casual high-waisted shorts with black shirts.
"So women only wear underwear now ?" he asked. "They ain’t covering their ankles anymore ?"
"Some still do. Depending on your cultural beliefs, you can cover your ankles, your hands, or your head."
"And women walkin’ around in their actual underwear is acceptable now ?"
"No. Men and women can’t just walk in their underwear."
You were not ready to explain him anything about swim wear, he would probably confuse bikinis and boxers with actual underwear. Arthur was discovering a new world, enough for you to smile at him when he was stopping to look at casual things which were not this casual in his time. He even got completely amazed by a screen moving on a nearby billboard, showing an image of a Neil Armstrong going during the landing on the moon. An exhibition about Apollo 11 was currently available in your city.
"What’s that ?" he asked, pointing at the image
"What ? The rocket ?"
"I get it’s a rocket, but why is thy feller going down ? Where was he ?"
"Oh, that’s Neil Armstrong about to set foot on the moon. There’s an ex…-"
"Someone set foot on the moon ?!"
He was shocked by this, as his core memory was still focused on 1899, with electric chairs still in progress and planes being only prototypes. Arthur would have been around 106 years old in 1969, provided he did not have tuberculosis, survived two World Wars, the Wall Street Crash of 1929 and the Military Administration until 1944. You decided to take him to the exhibition for him to learn more about the events which led to the Apollo 11 mission, Arthur did not let go of your hand, asking you several questions about the short movies displayed, spatial suits, even what a rocket looked like. His puppy eyes glancing around the exhibition made your day more bright, he was almost not the same man the one Francis had brought you months ago !
After the exhibition, you took a break in the park. Arthur casually took a cigarette out of one of his pockets. He was looking at people walking by, families and simple town folk, dressed so differently than people from his own era. For months, he had not left your place, he barely knew what people looked like and how they behaved. He still tried greeting them, but a vast majority of them did not respond to his peculiar politeness. People did not greet each other anymore, at least in cities, and it somehow made him sad. Arthur suddenly turned back to you and pointed a plane passing above your city.
"Y/N ! What’s that ?!"
I"t’s a plane, Arthur." you smiled. "People take them to travel faster. Faster than cars."
"Can we try goin’ on a plane ?"
"Sure thing, but not now."
"That’s so amazing ! I wasn’t born in the right era !"
You wanted to contradict him. As far as you knew, you had experienced numerous financial crises, were on a brink of a new war and had gone through a global pandemic. You deeply wanted to tell Arthur that he was somewhat wrong, but the sheer innocence he kept displaying made you change your mind. In no way could you spoil this moment, stop the discovery of this new world.
After a day wandering around the city, Arthur felt exhausted. He had not walked this much for weeks, still trying his best to remain in shape while being around your place, carrying the groceries from your car to the kitchen, sometimes doing the laundry for you, cleaning the plates when you were not home while watching TV. He enjoyed watching documentaries to learn more about the your own world and like sitcoms like F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and Malcolm, often asking you to watch these with him. You still requested him to help you to prepare some food, to which he obliged. He loved doing this and secretly loved being with you.
You ate before the TV, watching an old romantic movie you could not even name. Arthur nearly fell asleep in the process while his arm carefully moved around your shoulders. You smiled as you noticed him slowly drifting into sleep, still strong enough to make a very first move towards you. He had done that before, mostly preferring short embraces or resting his head on your shoulder at times, allowing you to kiss his forehead or his cheek. This was a big move !
"Arthur, go to bed." you smiled, gently passing your hand through his hair you had cut yourself
"Hmmm… yeah…"
Arthur rose from your couch and limped towards your bedroom, getting his jeans off to fall on the bed. His legs were so painful, enough for him to struggle lifting them up ! You calmly approached him, dragging a blanket above him, his eyes remained open.
"Care to join me ?" he smiled
"Well… why not."
You took a few clothes off, slipping under the blanket as Arthur dragged you into a very sudden embrace. You had almost forgotten how your own bed felt like, being used to your sofa. His warm body made you feel safe, very safe. His arms were wrapped around your waist, he had forgotten how great it felt to have someone to embrace. He kissed the top of your head as the two of you drifted asleep, leading you to wake up alone the next day. You glanced around, stretching a little as you heard the faint sound of your coffee machine in the living room, leading you to leave your room to come face to face with Arthur standing before the counter, having prepared you a warm coffee.
"Mornin’ darlin’." he smiled. Made you some coffee.
Arthur looked delightful, wearing a large white top with a pair of green boxers you had thought would be cool on him. He was also wearing these funny winter-themed socks you had offered him on a random occasion ! A pair of red socks with Christmas trees and stars on the. He first thought they were ridiculous, but came to enjoy them, cherishing them like any gift you were willing to offer him. He had even baked a chocolate cake !
"Morning." you smiled, kissing his cheek while he was sipping his coffee, causing him to blush. "Didn’t know you could use the oven !"
"Well… I tried some stuff." Arthur answered with a large smile. "Red a book and cooked."
You smiled even more more at Arthur’s sudden pride. He did really well, the cake tasted great. At first, you had forbid him to use the oven, being persuaded he would cause much more trouble than expected. You did not want to come back from work and find out that your place was one fire because Arthur was not able to understand how your oven worked.  These past months were fun and you looked up for what was ahead. Arthur was just a man from another time, lost in a world that was not his… but, at least, he was no longer ill and was doing alright, mostly !
to be continued, maybe, maybe

trying to think up a red dead teacher au seemed like fun at first but then i remembered they're all incredibly stupid which makes it considerably more difficult when assigning subjects.
my one big brain moment is that dutch is the principal and micah is the new vice principal who acts like they are the most powerful person in the school and everyone despises.
other characters below the cut!
arthur: he gives me woodwork teacher vibes. i considered art because he's such a good artist but he doesn't have the "slightly insane and doesn't know what's going on 90% of the time" energy of an art teacher.
john... a practical subject seems the only route, god bless him. he could also be a woodwork teacher? though since he's a rancher maybe agricultural science could technically work? (i'm irish, yes we have that as a subject here)
hosea gives maths. in a good way. a nice maths teacher. geography teacher suits him too.
pearson obviously home economics. his ass can’t cook for shit but his students all pass somehow
sadie pe. idk what other people’s impressions of female pe teachers are but mine have all been girlbosses who are also super nice (but god forbid you cross them.)
lenny english. he’s actually intelligent and can understand literature
charles is bugging me. he also gives woodwork teacher, but i’m also feeling geography. he’d have maps all around his classroom
sean is that one new teacher that nobody’s actually sure what subject he teaches. he just subs and occasionally goes out drinking with students
susan either french or science. strict but secretly loves a bit of banter
javier easily music
uncle is the janitor/caretaker who is actually the most popular staff member
i'm fairly stuck with everyone else, please feel free to add ideas!

Deadheadverse: Arthur & Louise meet for the first time.
High honor!Arthur Morgan x original female character. Not rated. 3,303 words. I got carried away. Mostly from Louise’s perspective, but all in 3rd person. Tw for drug use, sex mention.
Just some stream of consciousness stuff I wrote and have no plans to go back and revise. A recount of every second from the moment Arthur and Louise lay eyes on eachother until they go to bed that night. I’ve had this in my notes for a while and it’s just too big to keep there 🫡
🐇🦌🐇🦌🐇🦌🐇🦌🐇🦌🐇🦌🐇🦌
Louise wasn’t sure what to expect when the bus pulled up to the house. She expected the overgrown yard. She expected a bit of silence. She expected there was a large possibility she was falling into another kind of trap. Anything was better than being stuck on a bus with Dutch Van Der Linde. His first name alone made her want to roll her eyes.
Despite her hatred for him, settling deeper in her gut moment by moment as she waited for Grimshaw to open the door, she was glad he’d offered her a ride out of LA. She’d been sleeping on sofas and dating her way out of homelessness for nigh on a decade. Maybe the Midwest could be her first chance at building a space for herself.
Walking up to the house, Louise was overwhelmed with an amazing sense of relief. Dutch wouldn’t be hollering at her for another two months if she was lucky. She brought her hand up to knock on the door but before she could, she heard the knob turn and the door opened. Behind the door was her first surprise of the evening. A shockingly handsome man with sad ocean eyes and dishwater blonde hair peered down at her. He was at least 6 feet tall, not quite as tall as Dutch, and had broad shoulders. Not from excessive body building but from manual labor.
This wasn’t what she’d expected of the aforementioned Arthur. By Dutch’s standards he was one of his most productive employees turned acid casualty. Louise could only imagine the pressure he’d been under. So far the only indication of ‘acid casualty’ was the sad look in his eyes. The way Dutch described him had made him seem old. Burned out.
He had a mildly judgmental expression on his face as he observed her as well. “Dutch dump you off here too?” He mused rather than asked outright, narrowing those ocean eyes on her. He shook off the expression and invited Louise inside. “Alright, come on in.”
The interior of the house was a little jarring; dusty, dank, uncomfortable. The main room was filled with recording equipment that hadn’t been used in maybe five years. She followed Arthur toward some stairs, staying a little too close.
Once they reached the bottom of the stairs, Louise began digging in her bag. “I don’t know if ‘dumped’ is the most accurate word. I do have rent money for you.” She pulled the envelope full of cash from her bag and handed it to Arthur.
Arthur looked mildly displeased with her. He took the envelope to the kitchen and began digging around in the cabinets. Louise heard the buttons of a safe and a lock click open. Arthur placed the money in the safe without counting it. He also placed something heavy in there, presumably a hand gun she hadn’t seen on him when she came inside. Yikes. He shut the safe. She heard the lock click again.
Less than five minutes in the basement and Louise knew Arthur had been trapped here since late spring. It smelled of pot smoke and stale self hatred. Four empty beer cans rested on the table and by the lack of gnats, Louise surmised they were all from the night before. She wondered, without judgement, how many he’d drank before he got too lazy to start throwing cans away. “Dutch hasn’t stopped in to check on you once since the early summer?”
The basement was different than the main floors. It was clear the younger members of the gang had made it their own. Arthur and John were like brothers from what Louise could tell. They’d probably spent much of their adolescence down here. Arthur couldn’t be any more than 10 years John’s senior. There were posters on the walls and it appeared much more lived in. Most business was conducted in the kitchen. Louise saw the scale, dusty with keef, on the kitchen counter and the neat pile of baggies next to it.
“Not really my problem.” Arthur shrugged, stepping out from behind the kitchen counter. He must’ve seen Louise’s eyes resting on the beer cans because he went to tidy them up, never taking his eyes off hers as he crossed the room. Like he presumed himself to be some kind of prey animal. Louise always assumed that as her role. “Haven’t really taken any issue with his absence so far.” Louise could tell he was lying, but wasn’t sure why he’d feign distrust. “Not looking forward to when he comes back at the end of November.” That wasn’t a lie.
“I’m glad to not have him yelling in my ear at every hour of the night. He had me driving that damn bus for a week. I don’t even have a license!” Louise, against her better judgement, took the opportunity to complain.
“You let him do that to you? Never drive the bus. That’s been Grimshaw’s job for years. She’s the only one with a CDL. I bet she was ready to kill you when she found out.” Arthur lightened up a bit. He chuckled to himself as he threw the beer cans one by one in the small plastic trash bin in the kitchen.
“She doesn’t like me, no.” Louise smirked. It was true, Grimshaw did not like her. Louise assumed jealousy but the reality of the situation was that she’d been through the wringer with Dutch and she hated seeing it happen to anyone else.
“Yunno, you got me thinkin’” Arthur changed the subject, crossing back to sit on the sofa and click on the TV. He pulled his legs up onto the sofa and extended his hand with the remote to Louise, as if he was offering her a weapon of immense power. She smiled and sat down across from him, taking the remote. “Dutch hasn’t told me much since I had to duck out. For example, who you are. I haven’t heard a damn thing about you and now you’re in my house. He didn’t even have the nerve to call me.”
“What channels do you have?” Louise inquired, turning the remote over in her hand and getting comfortable on the sofa while she considered Arthur’s words.
“Darlin’, I sell pot out of the basement. We have all the channels.” He reached across the side table to where Louise was sitting on the loveseat and pressed the guide button on the remote she was holding. “The cable guy smokes just as much as you’d think.”
Louise was distracted momentarily by the options presented to her. “You taped Mr. Show?— I mean—“ she blinked a few times, trying to return to her previous thoughts. “Really? That’s pretty screwed up if you ask me. I don’t think he’s coming back to get me. At least I hope not. I’m sick of him.”
“You two dated?” Arthur seemed a little surprised. “I can see him losing his mind over someone like you. Can’t imagine you’d give him the time of day. You’re from the west coast, right?” His read wasn’t far off. “I’m sorry.” He shook his head, aware he’d said a bit too much.
“I’m afraid we’re still dating. I really couldn’t shake him but I managed to get him to drop me off here for the rest of the summer. I told him I was tired of going to shows. He told me if I could pay rent, he’d let me stay here until he came back in the winter. I think there’s more going on in his sick little peanut brain. But I just don’t want to consider what he has planned for when he comes back.” Louise took a big sigh and placed the remote on the coffee table without choosing something to watch. She didn’t want to talk about Dutch anymore. Still, she figured Arthur was owed an introduction as she was his new roommate. “I’m Louise, by the way. And for the record, I’m from the East coast. I’ve just lived out West for a while now. Certainly not by choice.”
Arthur smiled upon realization. “Oh, yeah. LA was never really my bag either, but Dutch loved shows there.” Arthur picked up the remote and pressed play on his DVR’d episode of Mr. Show. “You seem to know all there is to know about me, but I suppose I’m open for inquiries if you’ve got any.” Despite the offer, Arthur seemed shy.
“I’m really glad to be off the bus, honestly.” She smiled and looked to him, offering some comfort. “Maybe we could just smoke together? It seems pretty lonely down here.”
“That’s where you’re wrong.” Arthur grunted as he pushed himself off the sofa to retrieve the bong from the kitchen. “It’s a nice day. He loves the grassy knoll. Lee Harvey is out back.”
“What are you talking about?” Louise snorted.
“I’ll let em back in once we’re done smoking.” Arthur suggested, crossing the room with two handfuls of smoking paraphernalia. “He’s better than he sounds. Dutch is just bad at naming critters. Wait til you meet the cats. Named after the damn witches of Eastwick.”
Louise sat up in her seat when Arthur came back over to the living area. He began grinding up some pot.
“How’d you get out west?” He questioned her once the bong was packed. He offered her greens in exchange for the invasive question.
‘’My parents are wealthy, were wealthy. I haven’t spoken to them for years so it’s hard to say now. But I was lying in my bed one night, being a normal teenager, when two large men came up and blackbagged me and drove me out to Utah. It was one of those teen wilderness camps. Worst time of my life. Managed to get out and ended up stuck in LA for a while.” Louise wasn’t sure if the story was too much, but it was her truth and Arthur had asked. She wasn’t about to lie to him. What reason did she have?
“And you think the way Dutch treats me is fucked up? I’ve read about those places. Are you okay?” Arthur’s concern wasn’t unfounded. Louise was just long past ‘healing’ from it. It was like a bone that had been set incorrectly for years and to break it and reset it would cause more damage than leaving it how it rested. Too much scar tissue.
She took a big rip from the bong and teasingly exhaled toward Arthur. “At this point I’m just glad to have a roof over my head. It wasn’t easy avoiding homelessness in LA for the past 9 and a half years.”
“Doesn’t sound easy. I’m lucky I found Dutch when I did or else I would have ended up the same. But it seems like he’s willin’ to watch over you for now. Who knows what the world has in store. It’s good when someone has your back. Let’s just hope he holds up his end of the bargain. For both of us.” Arthur was muttering the last half of his statement like he didn’t want Louise to hear us. But she did.
“Cheers to that.” She passed the bong back to him and he copied her motion, cashing the bowl and placing it back on the table. He seemed like he was done talking when he crossed his arms over his broad chest and glanced toward the phone on the wall. Louise laughed at a joke on the TV.
Arthur got up and ran upstairs. Louise stayed watching Mr. Show until he came back with a big slobbery dog. The dog was probably some kind of pitbull mix with a smushed head. It looked at Louise for a while before it hopped up onto the sofa and sat in the other corner. It kept its misshaped eyes on her like Arthur had. “I think he smells Dutch on you. He’s tryna be respectful. Give him a pet if you want to make friends.”
Louise reached out to pet the dog, giving him a little scratch on his butt. His expression softened and his tail began to wag. He licked his chops and rested his head on his paws.
Arthur presented two miller high life’s and placing them on the table. Louise happily reached for hers. “What do you wanna eat for dinner? I have tons of frozen pizzas because I work for a delivery company on the side. Helps pushing the product for Dutch too. I try to keep a cashe for the winter. Jack likes them a lot.” Arthur seemed sad talking about Jack. He clearly itched to ask how the boy was doing.
“You’re sick of the frozen pizzas, do you want to go out?” Louise hesitated with her finger over the can tab.
“I’m waiting on a call. I’ll have to check how much I can spare.” Arthur was surprised. He wondered if this was allowed.
“Something warm, like burgers.” Louise suggested, pulling her legs up onto the sofa.
Arthur hummed at the thought of hot food that he didn’t have to prepare. “I don’t know. You got burger money? We’ll see what Dutch says when he calls me back.”
Louise was displeased at the thought of waiting on Dutch but she figured she could wait an hour or so for dinner.
The two of them watched television for about three hours before Dutch finally rang. Louise was half asleep and Lee Harvey had since jumped onto Arthur’s lap and was snoring. He was far too large to be considered a lap dog but Arthur didn’t seem to mind.
When the phone rang, Arthur shot up from the sofa, starling Lee Harvey who woke up with a bark and then calmed himself but followed Arthur to the phone.
Tumblr media
“Hey, Dutch.” Arthur was clearly trying not to sound concerned. “What’s this about?”
There was a short pause. “Business is steady.” Arthur responded. Dutch was being guarded. “You think? I’ll give him a call if you say so.”
Louise tried to hear what Dutch was saying but she couldn’t.
“Dutch, I know. I’ll give him a call. But what about Louise? What am I gonna to do with her? Where does she sleep?” Arthur turned his back to Louise so she might not hear him. She still listened.
“What am I supposed to do with that?” Arthur was getting frustrated. Dutch had said something he didn’t like. There was another pause. “The kibble bag is getting real low, I don’t know.” he argued, Louise furrowed her brow. There was another pause. “Alright, Dutch. Sure.” Arthur hung up the phone.
Tumblr media
“Burgers?” He suggested, crossing the room to the back of the kitchen counter where he grabbed the keys to his truck Louise had seen parked out front.
Louise smiled and pushed herself off the loveseat and crossed over to Arthur. “Sure,” she gently rested her fingers on his forearm which was warm to the touch. The hair on his arms was delightfully scratchy and Louise had to withdraw her hand.
Arthur looked a little shocked, maybe even frightened. His eyes lingered on where she’d touched him. “This ain’t any kinda date. Don’t think I’m payin’ your bill.” His eyes shot back up to hers.
“We already discussed this, Arthur.” She held her bag close to her side and pulled it up onto her chest to show him that it was there.
“Right.” He pulled the back door open and led Louise to the back yard thru the solarium. “Dutch wouldn’t even tell me where he wants you to sleep. I think he’s all worked up in one of his plans.” Arthur shook his head and grabbed a pack of cigarettes from the work table in the solarium.
Louise pondered, pulling the door open for Arthur while he placed a cigarette between his lips. Louise produced her own pack once they stepped outside and did the same. “I think he wants me to cheat on him.”
Arthur choked on cigarette smoke. She could tell a few different things had crossed the tip of his tongue but he settled on; “It’s only two months.”
“Two months is too long without sex.” Louise argued, puffing on her cigarette. “I’m not trying to be celibate.” She was very nonchalant about sex. It had been part of her survival for too long for her to treat the act with very much respect.
Arthur was obviously discomforted by this. “Celibacy does sound bad, but I don’t think that’s a good classification for two months without getting your dick wet.” He seemed a little bit self conscious.
“No, no. You’re right.” Louise shook her head. But she disagreed with him. He was wrong. Not getting laid for two months after having the worst sex of her life all summer was veritable torture. “Dutch is just,” she let out a big sigh as she reached for the door handle to Arthur’s truck and pulled it open. Arthur hopped in the drivers seat. “He’s just really bad in bed.”
“I don’t wanna know that, Louise.” Arthur looked even more uncomfortable than before, shaking his head in disgust as he put the key in the ignition.
The two of them ended up at the drive-in, in its last open days for the warm season. They dropped the subject of Dutch and joked around. Louise picked a CD from Arthur’s truck’s selection and Arthur suggested jobs she might could get in town. None of them involved sex work, which offered some comfort. LA wasn’t an easy place to wait tables, especially when a girl didn’t have a solid place to live or reliable transport.
“Red Lobster doesn’t sound bad. You think they’d like me with my original New England accent.” She giggled, dropping her west coast vocal mask as a joke.
Arthur didn’t laugh but looked on her in wonder. “Is that how you really talk?”
“It didn’t make me popular on the west coast so I dropped it real fast.” She was suddenly self conscious, her cheeks felt hot. She couldn’t find her valley girl voice again. Arthur looked like he’d been enchanted by something.
“I think it’s nice. You’re a good actor. How come you never went that route?” He joked back. Louise could tell it was a joke. She hoped he hadn’t noticed her blush and this wasn’t his attempt to quell her embarrassment.
“There are a million other homeless liars in LA. I’m nothin’ special.” She waved her hand to dismiss the subject.
The two of them made it back to the house safely. Arthur suggested she might take his truck to look for jobs around town while he went to his own job tomorrow. Louise agreed.
—-
When they got back, Arthur was immediately nervous about sleeping accommodations. She couldn’t sleep in Jack or John’s rooms, not only would that be an invasion of their privacy, but also Abigail’s. Arthur hadn’t opened the door to Dutch’s bedroom since he was living there last winter. That door just stayed shut during the touring season. There was a bedroom on the main floor but it wasn’t functional. Arthur was sure it hadn’t been used since Dutch’s mother, Greta, was alive. Some kind of Freudian Ed Gein nonsense. The main floor just had a horrendous feeling to it. There was no way Arthur was making her sleep up there. If Louise was to sleep in Arthur’s bed there was no way he could argue if Dutch suggested Louise cheated with him. And with the way Louise wouldn’t take her hands off him, Arthur knew it wouldn’t be long until Dutch got his way. Arthur would have to stay on the sofa and abandon his room to her. “You can have my room, I suppose.” He admitted with a sigh.

so i have something to confess. i haven't actually finished rdr2, im currently only on chapter four. i just have this disease where i usually can't help but talk to people about things i like, which means going online most of the time, lol. this is compounded by the fact that i don't want to do story missions because i dont want it to be over!
anyways, my boyfriend has finished the game (he recommended it to me, and i played the first two chapters on his playstation lol) and he told me that chapter five is radically different and in an unaccessable and radically different area of the map. so, where did my mind go?
BEACH EPISODE!!!! ⛱️
the more i thought about it, the more sense it made. dutch and the other boys keep talking about tahiti, and why not sample the lifestyle in america before you fully commit and cross the pond???? it would have pretty different flora and fauna to the desert, mountain, and woody locations that are currently accessible. a beach type episode isn't very plot heavy and is just about rest and recooperation, which considering each chapter so far has just ended in bigger and bigger shootouts i think they would need by this point.
i love thinking about it, all the gang in funny old time swimsuits, arthur especially in stripey longjohns and those round straw hats. jack would look so adorable in a little swimsuit, although to be fair, he would probably just swim naked at the time/with the general attitude of the gang. everyone would get tanner and healthier, and you could just spend days fishing and doing fun, nothing-but-fluff missions, and bonding with the other characters.
some images for your consideration,
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
how CUTE!!!!!
anyways my boyfriend has told me that im not correct, which is a bummer but its still fun to think about. and i might draw arthur in a bathing suit anyways. although that makes me wonder if they might be going to the jungle for some indianna jones escapades...... lol
just thought i would share :)

Note
For the college au
I hc Sean as being drunk or high half the time and never showing up to class
Javier is a music major, maybe
Charles has got a environmental science/zoologist thing goin on
John is an engineer, maybe even a carpenter? He built that house pretty damn well, not to mention how sexy and strong he--
🥵🥵
Anyway,
Dutch would probably be an english professor
Hosea maybe a theater/acting professor
YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT SEAN LMAOO. And YES I agree with Javier, he definitely owns a classical guitar and sits on the campus lawn playing guitar while a swarm of girls sit around him and watch.
Charles being a zoology major is so true because I myself am considering switching my major to zoology hehe. But yes it's very fitting. If not zoology I can imagine he'd major in anthropology.
And YOU ARE SOOOOO RIGHT ABOUT JOHN RAHHHH HE IS SO DAMN FINEEEE. Idgaf what he major in he can get it any day of the week. Also he definitely has an emo band on the side.
Dutch is either an English professor OR a business professor istg I can see either so well and he'd be INSUFFERABLE he'd have a 2.3 on rate my professor to which he brings up on the first day of classes and talks about all the ways in which he is not deserving of a 2.3
Hosea definitely theatre. Hands down it's perfect.

Yeehawgust 2024: Greener Pastures
Saddle up, folks! We’ve got greener pastures on the horizon, because it’s time for Yeehawgust’s 6th year this August!
Yeehawgust features daily art prompts as well as alternative weekly prompts, for those of us who are a bit slower on the draw. Don’t draw at all? No problem! Submit any art at all, be it illustration, comics, writing, fanfiction, photography, embroidery, sculpture, music, or whatever other creative endeavors you might enjoy. All skill levels are welcome, and this can be a great opportunity to experiment with new styles and techniques.
Maybe you love media like Red Dead Redemption and Fallout: New Vegas, or classic westerns like The Magnificent Seven. You might enjoy the genre, and you’re looking for a chance to make a cowboy AU and put your OCs in chaps and your blorbos in a Stetson. Heck, maybe you just really want to draw horses. Whatever your reason, you’re welcome to join in, pardner!
Tag your work with #Yeehawgust and follow along here on the Yeehawgust blog. If you include any external links or directly tag another Tumblr user in your post (which may impact search visibility), make sure to also tag this blog or contact the mod directly so your work will get reblogged!
Check out the “Reblogging Policy and Q&A” linked on the blog for more info about Yeehawgust. The event is also Yeehawgust on Twitter, YeehawgustPrompts over on Instagram, and now yeehawgust.bsky.social over on Bluesky... but Tumblr is where we hang our hat at the end of the day.
