Oh I know it so well 😢
I think it needs to become common knowledge that "inability to read social cues" can show up as overcompensating.
You don't know how much misbehaviour is allowed, so you become the perfect child who never tests rules.
You don't know if someone is irritated with you, so you'll be extra generous and self-effacing.
You don't know how much is expected of you at work so you'll kill yourself in a minimum-wage job and not notice that nobody else is working like this.
"Hardworking and quiet" should be as much of an autism red flag as "ignores rules and doesn't know when to stop talking". Or why don't we just start using words to communicate so i can stop tracking everybody's eyebrow twitches, that would be great.

red flag heeseung
tw/cw: controlling behavior, guns
i wrote this sooooo long ago, like last year when i first started posting?
i was going to do an entire red flag enhypen storyline but only got far with heeseung and jay
don’t want this sitting in my drafts so here yall go for entertainment! not proof read or updated since i first wrote this months ago!!!
₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎ ₊˚⊹♡
“heeseung does this look cute?” you twirled for your boyfriend in your new outfit.
“where do you think you’re going?”
you pouted. “heeseung i told you me and the girls were going out tonight!”
“i don’t recall.” heeseung replied lazily continuing to play his game.
you crossed your arms. “heeseung, ive been telling you for the past week!” you raised your voice a bit. heeseung looked at you with an eyebrow raised pausing him game.
“i don’t recall me telling you that you could go.”
you bit your tongue then looked down to the ground, “heeseung it’s just, it’s my best friend’s birthday and i haven’t seen her in so long! i promised her i would go.”
“don’t make promises you can’t keep.” heeseung got up from his gaming chair. he kissed the top of your head. “now put some sweats on, let’s watch a movie.”
“but heeseung!”
“i said no, angel.” heeseung gave you the look which meant ‘the end’ of the conversation.
your pouting wouldn’t change his mind. “what if i wore—,”
“it doesn’t matter what you wear, angel, there are creeps out there and it’s my job to keep you safe.”
you walked up to your boyfriend grabbing his arm, “and you’re doing such a great job, babe!” you smiled kissing his cheek. “i will be safe.”
heeseung smiled, kissed your lips once. “no”
the entire night you had an attitude. you really liked heeseung, you did, but he was just so possessive and jealous to the point he’s controlling.
you literally learned this kind of behavior in classes, and always blamed those people for not noticing sooner. but now you were one of them.
you sat on the couch with heeseung, watching a movie, as his hand remained tight on your exposed thigh. you weren’t paying attention but he was laughing at whatever was being said.
your phone rang and you went to get it but heeseung beat you to it.
“she can’t make it tonight.” heeseung said into the phone. most likely to your best friend wondering where you were. you heard your friend screaming on the other end.
heeseung just smiled almost terrifyingly, but the smile was wiped off his face at something your friend said.
“goodbye, you are not to see her again.” he spat and hanging up the phone on your friend.
you swallowed, scared to ask what got him upset. about 10 minutes passed and heeseung’s grip had tightened to the point his nails were digging into your skin.
“ouch heeseung—,”
“what did you tell your friend about me? about us?”
“huh?”
heeseung’s dark eyes met yours. “she told me she had warned you about me. warned you about what angel? that im possessive and obsessed? that’s just because i love and care for you.”
heeseung’s tone kept getting deeper with every sentence, heavy breathing as he tried to control himself. he was good at controlling himself around others and in public.
you just made him crazy. mad almost.
his grip was threatening to leave a mark and he quickly let go, rubbing the spot soothingly, “sorry angel, i just don’t like people in our relationship.”
“it’s—it’s okay heeseung. i’m sorry, i won’t tell anyone else about us.”
heeseung smiled. “good girl.” he kissed your lips. “it’s getting late, why don’t we go to sleep?”
you didn’t dare to argue, so you followed heeseung to the bedroom, getting under the covers. he immediately pulled you close to his body, kissing you once.
it was a little after midnight, hearing heeseung softly snore you decided to get up out of bed without stirring him awake.
grabbing your phone, you snuck off to the living room sending your friend a text before immediately deleting the evidence knowing heeseung knew your passcode.
you tiptoed to the door picking up your shoes ready to sneak out until a hand landed on the door closing it.
a chest met your back, your body frozen in fear.
“where are you going this late?”
you turned to face heeseung, “the store. just to get some snacks. i woke up hungry.”
“you were going to go without me? ive told you its so dangerous out there angel. i cant have anything bad happening to you.”
heeseung rubbed your cheek with his thumb.
“so—sorry.” you mumbled looking down afraid to make eye contact with him.
“mhm? what? can’t look me in the eye knowing youre lying to me?” he spat.
looking up quickly, you tried to deny him but he held up his phone showing a text you had obviously sent to your friend.
you stuttered and utter confusion. looking up at him with knotted brows. “ho—how?”
“all your numbers were changed to mine.” heading whispered. “knew you were up to something.”
“heeseung,” you began to defend yourself but how?
“not going anywhere my angel. now let’s get back to bed.”
you walked back to the bedroom, dropping your shoes by the door. getting in bed, you quite literally could not comprehend how you got into a relationship like this. it happened so slowly and quickly.
laying down, you faced looking out the window as heeseung scooted your bodies closer so your back was to his chest.
in your ear he whispered, “try a stunt like that again and you’ll be punished. you belong to me and only me, understood? you ask for my permission first. i just care so much for you, i can’t lose you.”
“yes heeseung.” you replied softly.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
days went past. then weeks.
two months later you’ve became accustomed to heeseung’s routine. his possessiveness. obsession. controlling side.
he told you what to wear. when to wake up. when to go to sleep. what to eat.
you’d only be able to go into public with him. never alone. he couldn’t risk losing you.
he also was telling you to eat more than usual. anytime you would object, stating you’re full, he’d throw his spiel that he just wants to make sure you’re fed.
in reality to believe he was doing it to make you gain weight to become unattractive in the eyes of other men.
you heard him once mutter under his breath, “if she gains anymore weight, no guy will look at her again.”
you haven’t been in contact with any of your family or friends. heeseung stating to them you were taking a break from the use of your phone so if they wanted to contact you, they had to contact him.
heeseung made you quit your job, stating you wanted to focus on your mental health.
“it’s time for me to put a baby in you, babe.” he said one night. sex with heeseung before hand was enjoyable. now it felt like a chore.
you felt slimy cause although the way he was treating you was a big red flag, sex with him was still pleasurable in many ways.
your body betrayed your mind.
today, in a long time, heeseung was taking you to lunch with his friends at a restaurant downtown. usually he would keep you home, keeping an eye on the nanny cams he set up throughout the apartment.
his friends had wanted to see you. heeseung tried to convince them you wouldn’t want to come, but they begged, not buying it.
you walked out of the bathroom, dressed in a simple graphic tshirt, blue jean shorts that rested a few inches above your knees, and simple sneakers.
“can—can i wear this?” you asked your boyfriend shyly.
heeseung turned to you after spraying his cologne. he smiled walking closer to you, wrapping his arms around your waist. “mhm, you know i love you in shorts, but i think i would love you better in pants.” he slapped your butt once then went back to looking at himself in the mirror.
“but heeseung, it’s really humid outside today, and i don’t want to become overheated, you know?” you bit your lip anxiously.
heeseung quickly turned to you, watching you twirl your fingers, before he said your name sternly.
“heeseung, i—i can wear something over my behind, ok?” you grabbed the nearest long sleeve button down that belonged to heeseung and wrapped the sleeves around your waist then turned around. “see!”
heeseung huffed. “fine. but only cause we’re gonna be late if we don’t leave now.”
heeseung kept a protective hand on you the entire time. in the car he held your hand tightly. walking into the restaurant his hand grabbed the hem of your shirt, gripping it between to fingers, before he wrapped his arm around your waist.
at the booth, you sat in between him and the younger, ni-ki, heeseung’s left hand tightly gripped on your thigh.
“so, how have you been?” jungwon asked as he stuffed his face.
you nodded. “good.”
“we haven’t seen you in a while!” jake exclaimed.
“yeah, we were starting to think heeseung had you locked away in a basement.” jay stated.
“i don’t have a basement.” heeseung answered flatly.
“then, we started to think heeseung had you tied to his bed, leaving you for dead.” sunoo joked.
you chuckled nervously, quickly turning the attention away, “anyway, how are you all! how’s university life, ni-ki?”
as the boys explained updated in their life, heeseung kept adding food to your plate. and whether it was new found confidence or because you had witnesses and were in public, you had enough.
“heeseung, i’m full.”
“angel, you need to eat more.”
“but i can’t.” you shot back. “i am full heeseung. to the point if i eat anymore i will get sick.”
“don’t be spoiled or rude. it’s not nice to waste.”
“is it wasting if it’s not my food?” you looked at him angrily. he looked back at you with a blank face.
shit, you were in trouble.
“heeseung—,”
“here, we’ll eat it.” jungwon said, grabbing your plate and splitting it between sunghoon and jake.
you could see heeseung’s nose flare, and you swallowed nervously.
“i need to go to the bathroom.” you blurted, looking at heeseung waiting for him to move.
“i’ll go with you.” he said and got up.
“she can go to the bathroom herself, man.” jay said, continuing to eat.
“she’s a big girl, she can go potty by herself.” jake laughed.
heeseung shook his head. “no, i can take her.”
“sit down, hee!” sunghoon said pointedly. “she can go to the bathroom herself.”
you quickly removed yourself from the booth, going to the bathroom, leaving your phone behind.
the only thing you had was your id and a bit of cash.
heeseung didn’t like being talked to like a child. but sunghoon was scarier then himself when he wanted to be.
heeseung sighed, sitting down, anxiously counting down to the time you’d be back. he’ll give you five minutes, and not a second more.
with time ticking, you quickly used the bathroom, washing your hands, trying to calm yourself.
if you walked back out there, you were done for. you knew you’d be done for. a tear threatened to escape, but you didn’t have time.
you had to escape.
looking up, there was a window in the bathroom, that you could fit through. it was small, but you’d fit.
you wasted no time, squeezing yourself through the window, briefly cutting your knee on a piece of broken glass in the windowsill.
once outside the restaurant, you ran. you ran as fast as you could.
after six minutes (due to the boys mentioning girls can’t pee as fast as dudes), heeseung had enough, and got up to go check on you.
“she’s fine!” jay groaned after him but heeseung didn’t care. he had a bad feeling.
walking to the women’s restroom, an older woman was coming out and heeseung put on his best charming smile. “is there a young girl in there?” he asked, giving the description of you.
the lady shook her head. “no, no girl in there.”
heeseung frowned. “are you sure?”
the woman nodded then went back to her own table.
heeseung ignored all manners and walked in the women’s restroom seeing it empty. no sign of you.
he looked up seeing the women’s window in the bathroom was positioned high off the ground, and it was closed. but there was a tiny speck of of blood on the sill.
“she’s gone.” heeseung spat as he got back to the table.
“what do you mean she’s gone?” jake asked, ignoring the concern and urgency in his friend’s voice.
“she’s not in the damn bathroom!” heeseung said. he felt his chest tightening and the walls caving in. “shit!” he ran a hand through his hair banging his fist on the table.
“calm down dude!” ni-ki said to the oldest.
“maybe she left because she actually did get sick?” sunoo offered with a pout.
“and not say goodbye?” jake asked, eyebrow raised.
“try calling her.” sunghoon said.
heeseung quickly took out his phone from his pocket, dialing your number.
his heart quickened hearing your phone ringing.
ni-ki looked down beside him, seeing the abandoned phone, picking it up, handing it to heeseung.
“maybe it fell out of her pocket?” jungwon shrugged.
or maybe you left it on purpose.
“fuck this shit!” he yelled storming out of the restaurant.
sunghoon quickly followed behind his friend, ni-ki trailing behind.
“what the fuck man? calm your ass down!” sunghoon spat.
heeseung quickly turned, pointing a finger. “don’t tell me what to do, park.” heeseung was seeing red. his hand covered his mouth. he was thinking the worst. “i have to go.”
without even much a goodbye he left his friends in confusion.
you couldn’t have gotten far right? you were on foot, in a neighborhood you barely knew and you were injured, somewhere.
his hand gripped the steering wheel before slamming his fist.
what if you went to the cops? he’d just say you’re insane and going through an episode.
but you don’t have any medical history with mental illness. and they would screen you and you would sure pass.
he only knew one place you would find your way to.
your friends place.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
you did find your way to your friend’s place. however she had moved. you went to her job and found her.
nothing needed to be exchanged or explained. she told everyone at her job not to tell anyone where she lived or that you had stopped by.
she quickly took you to her new place, a gated community on the other side of town.
heeseung knew where she used to live. not her new place. “i even got a new phone just in case that psycho was tracking me too.” she said.
“i’m so sorry.” you sobbed to your bestfriend on her bed.
“you have nothing to apologize for. i promise, i will help you get through this.”
“how?”
“well, we need to change your looks. luckily your bff is a hair dresser with mad skills! then, we need to change your name. i know a guy in the government that can help, no questions asked. then we get you on a plane to like hawaii or alaska.”
“we need to do that now!” you exclaimed sitting up quickly.
“we can do the first two things, but getting you to an airport is too risky. he’ll be watching most likely. trains or buses.”
that night, your friend dyed your hair to a completely different tone and color than what you had. now you understood why people didn’t recognize miley as hannah.
she texted her government friend, and he’d agreed to stop by the next day to help with the name change.
“we need to think of the most common name so if he tried to look you up, at least 100 other women would show up.”
you both agreed.
while over the next few days you and your friend plotted carefully, heeseung was driving himself mad.
your friend had moved. he went to her old place, threatened the new owner, and nearly got castrated by their partner.
he went to your friend’s job and common hang out spots, coworkers claiming they had no idea where your friend now lived (truth) and they hadn’t seen you (lie).
so, he waited outside her job. but you both were smart enough to realize heeseung may do that so she took off until you were safely out of the country.
when the time came to get on a plane with a different persona, you were anxious to say the least. but you knew you had to do this.
only carrying a duffle bag, you wore simple clothing, not wanting to bring too much attention to yourself, only shielding yourself with your new hair color and a hat.
you had 25 minutes until it was time to board your flight. your gripped your passport tightly to your chest, anxiously waiting.
you took in your surroundings, no one even paid attention to you which calmed you down a bit.
someone sat next to you. before you could even wonder why, with the plenty of spots empty, you smelled the familiar cologne.
your body froze.
a menacing chuckle fell from his lips, “you didn’t think you could get away that easy, huh angel?” he taunted.
he wouldn’t do anything irrational would he? you both were in public, with guards around.
you thought was answered when you felt something poke at your side, concealed from his jacket.
a gun.
how the fuck did he get a gun?
“heeseung don’t do anything stupid.” you whispered.
“i could say the same for you angel.” he spat, poking the weapon deeper into your side.
what you both didn’t notice was a younger couple had noticed the uncomfortable expression on your face, and the man noticed just a quick glance of the weapon. without making a fuss, the woman got up calmly to find an officer not in heeseungs view.
“do what i say, you won’t get hurt angel.”
you nodded slowly. “i’m sorry heeseung.”
“only sorry you got caught.” he scoffed.
three officers came up to you two, your eyes widened, heeseung remaining calm with a smile.
“is everything okay here?” one asked, directing his attention to you.
“yeah, everything is fine.” heeseung replied, not taking his eyes off of you, waiting for your response, digging the weapon deeper into your side.
“miss, mind coming with me for a few?”
you didn’t know if you should stay or get up.
“go on with them angel.” heeseung dared with a smile.
you slowly got up, and in a speed of light, heeseung had one arm wrapped against your neck, your back to his chest, gun pointed to your head.
the guards drew their own weapons, more coming to the commotion as people screamed and took cover.
“you make a move, i kill her!” heeseung shouted, cocking the gun.
“oh please no, heeseung! i’ll go with you, i’ll do whatever you want!”
“too late for that angel! i was nothing but good to you and this is how you pay me back?”
“put the weapon down, sir!” one cop yelled.
“if i can’t have my baby, then you all don’t deserve her either!”
baby. baby. baby!
“heeseung, baby, please put the gun down, please!”
he tightened his hold on you. “why should i listen to you, huh? and don’t promise you’ll be with me after this.” heeseung cried. “i know that’s a lie!”
“heeseung think of your baby!” you begged.
“i am thinking about you, baby.” he said kissing the top of your head, using your body as a shield.
“no, heeseung, your baby. our baby.”
heeseung froze, not sure if he understood you correct. “my—our baby?” he whispered, his voice shaking.
“look around hee, there’s children around. what if those were our kids hee? watching a stranger holding a gun to someone’s head?”
heeseung looked around seeing the kids you were talking about, hiding behind their parents.
“it—it worked?” heeseung smiled. “i got you pregnant?”
you nodded. “yes heeseung. please be a good father to our future child, and put the gun down. they need their dad.”
heeseung smiled and listened, putting the gun down. cops quickly got heeseung in cuffs, taking him away.
“i’m gonna be a dad!” he cheered.
a cop came up to you to escort you to an awaiting ambulance. “let’s get you and your baby checked out.”
you shook your head. “i’m not pregnant.”
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
the next time you saw heeseung was at his trial. and although you had a good lawyer he had a better one. one that ridiculed you to the max.
“so mr. lee, you’re telling me your girlfriend—at the time,” pointing to you, “enjoyed being manhandled and having rough sex?”
you argued, “i told him earlier in our relationship i liked dominate men, not to be abused!” you yelled.
that day, you learned just how gross and conniving heeseung and lawyers could be.
“mr. lee, you stated you even had evidence that she enjoyed rough sex? having it recorded?”
“what! i did not agree to that!” you objected.
you were being crucified, and although your lawyer and the judge tried their best to get it under control and throw out any evidence that wasn’t appropriate or approved, the jury had what they needed to make a decision even though they were told to ignore it.
to them, you were just a girl who thought she enjoyed bdsm but quickly realized you didn’t. making a quick decision to blame your boyfriend.
heeseung was found not guilty of domestic violence, abuse or assault. not guilty of unlawful imprisonment. he was only charged for unlawful possession of a firearm.
2 years. 24 months. he could get out in 6 months for good behavior.
“i’ll see you and my child in 6 months, angel.” heeseung smirked as handcuffs were placed on his wrists.
you looked him dead in the eyes, “i’m not pregnant. i never was.”
he frowned. he had no connection to you whatsoever now. he couldn’t control you through your child.
he failed.

Yeaaah I'm with the other anon, making googly eyes at Lorcan and Lazlo exclusively. Y'all others can have your red flags and girlies, I prefer relationships where I am the biggest red flag.
Honestly, crowny could possibly become the biggest red flag of the game if you take them down a specific path. Like they might give Imre a run for his money… so something to look forward to 😍

"My red flag is isolating myself when life gets dark & messy. I'd stay silent, pull away, push those I love away & hide.
but, It's also when I crave being found the most, where I long for a heartfelt convo & pay attention to every gesture of kindness."

𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫/𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭!* + 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬
Note: Take this with caution! These placements are not bad. These are just some 'side things' that come within having such placements. Every placement has a dark trait, and sometimes, the nature of astrology can be negative as well as positive. Thanks for reading 🤎
• Venus x Moon harsh aspects (square, opposition, conjuction). When the Moon is in harsh aspects with Venus, the native will have a hard time telling what's on their heart. They can have the feeling of a 'heavy heart'. The native may be embarrassed or shy to tell their feelings
• Saturn x Moon harsh aspects (square, opposition, conjuction). These aspects can often feel very insecure about their feelings. They can get hurt fast, but mostly, these aspects can indicate being cold, having a hard time opening yourself, being more like a loner rather than with people
• Lilith in Gemini/3rd house, these placements often indicate gossiping and talking bad upon others. Cursing a lot, etc. The native may be savage in their communication, and their words can hurt
• Ascendant x Sun/Venus/Neptune aspects. With these placements, the native may have trouble with loving himself and may cause a lack of self-love from their side. Before having a relationship, you should always check up on yourself first. You can't love others if you don't love yourself
• Venus in the 5th/7th or 8th house. I did a 'mini post' about Venus in those houses, but in short, the native could've had more partners in their romantic past. If you're not interested in your lovers' past romantic life with other people, I think this won't affect you
• Uranus in the 7th house is also found within people who happen to have more lovers in their life. Also, dating or having casual one night stands
• Lilith x Moon aspects (all aspects). The native can have issues with their mother or their feminine energy. May feel like the black sheep or an outcast due to this. They may keep family things private in their life
• Pluto or Saturn in their 4th or 5th house could've indicated being abused as a child or having their childhood taken away from them. A person with a strong inner child
• Scorpio Saturn, the native with this specific Saturn placement can struggle with their intimacy. Can be insecure over some parts of their body and might overthink what the other person thinks about them in bed. Engaging in sexual activities can be chaotic but also beautiful
• Venus in Fire signs, the native can be either extremely loyal either extremely catchy with your feelings. Tends to flirt quite a lot. And may have multiple crushes
• Saturn in the 2h/6th/10th house or Saturn in Earth signs. The native can be an workaholic, they work over the program to gain more money/salary. This can also result as then coming exhausted from work and most times being away from home
• Lilith x Jupiter aspects (all aspects), the native with these aspects can crave more in bed. They're not happy if they're not satisfied. And they may struggle with obsession over sexual things
• Neptune in the 5th or 8th house, the native may have addictions related to 18+ content which can be a turn off for many. Nonetheless Neptune can also have a strong sexual energy
• Sun in the 7th or 10th house, the native might receive a lot of compliments. Sweet personality and a very charming aura, they like attention
• Scorpio/Capricorn/Cancer Venus, the native might be into dating older people, not very old but there can be some age gap between them. They might get successful relationships in their adulthood yesrs
• Pisces Venus and Moon, these natives are mostly ending up with a lot of scenarios in their head after an argument. They need lots of resurance from their partners
• Venus in the 8th / 12th house, the native could've had several admires, which he wanted to keep hidden. Secrets around their relationship
• Water Dominant: The native may be too clingy or very fast to respond to your feelings/they mirror the type of love you give them
• Pluto x Mercury aspects (all): The native will always have the last word in arguments. 'Truth hurts' archetype. They can use words to manipulate after their own will
• Sun x Jupiter in harsh aspects, the natives ego can be fragile, yet they tend to have a 'superiority complex' they may think they're better than others
• Aphrodite (1388) in the 2nd/5th/8th houses, the native may want to be satisfied physically. They may use their sexual energy to make themselves feel better
• Aphrodite x Ascendant/MC Aspects (all): People may find their beauty intriguing. Approachable with a soft/feminine/calm energy by the public (to both genders) tender personality
• Juno in Aries/Cancer/Scorpio may give a possessive and jealous spouse. If the spouse has low self-esteem, these can be intense
• Pluto in the 9th house, 9th house can indicate how your spouse family might see you. With Pluto here, they may see you as a powerful person to marry their son/daughter
• Pluto/Lilith/Saturn in the 11th house, the native could've had lots of issues with betrayal in their life. People in general weren't so loyal to them
• Sun in the 5th house, the native may feel to act more like a child when they are around your presence or if they feel safe with you
• Aries/Mars over their 4th house can indicate that they were raised in a household with abusive or angry family members, also can posses angry issues
• 2nd house ruler in the 8th house, they may be stingy with their money, may keep them like a secret behind you
• 2nd house ruler in the 10th house, the native may love money over anything. Money over love is their way to go
• Saturn in the 12th house can drain the native a lot. They may feel tired 24/7, get irritated fast, and becomes melancholic easily
• Leo Saturn, they can struggle with favoritism. Can be related to family trauma/ just they love picking on things to cause conflicts
• Scorpio or Lilth in the 4th house/Cancer, raised in a household where their family could have been manipulators, liars, toxic, etc
• Juno aspecting Jupiter can grant the native with fulfilments in their relationship, in harsh aspects you don't feel satisfied enough
• Mars in the 7th house can cause relationship arguments (which are normal for every relationship), but with Mars, these can he quite intense
• Having Retrogade planets like Venus in the 7th house can indicate your exes coming back in your life more than usual (these are mostly just things you need to finish, as an little advice, exes don't always come back to be together with you again, but you don't need to get back with them even if they come back in your life lol)
𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫, 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫

Р.4 / Р.6

A bell chimed the moment you walked through the doors of the restaurant. Warmth rolled down your back and you shivered, rubbing the cold out of your arms. Kieran followed suit behind you and whispered into your ear.
"Do you want my jacket from the back of the car?"
"I'm okay," you smiled up at him, "Inside is warmer than I expected it to be. I'll be fine."
The inside was just as grand as the outside. Chandeliers hung from the ceiling and soft music played over the speakers that were built into the building. You glanced around at the customers, chattering softly in low voices, reminding you of the mumbles your mother always made with her friends every time you got home from school.
A waitress walked up to you and smiled. Her lips were painted red, her skin smooth, and her brown hair pulled into a tight bun. She looked far more elegant than whatever you were wearing. You crossed your arms and smiled back.
"Welcome to Papillon. Seats for two? Romantic seating?"
"Oh no, uh, we are meeting someone here. His last name is Evergrown?"
The waitress perked when his name was mentioned. Her nails clacked against the clipboard she was holding. Something was unsettling about the gleam in her eye, almost greedy, as if she was viewing you and Kieran like bags of cash. "Oh yes, you must be Mr. Evergrown's guests. Follow me and I will take you to him now."
You blinked rapidly. He had to be a regular if she acted like that at the mention of his name. Glancing at Kieran from the corner of your eye, he slid his hand behind you to the small of your back, walking with you. He didn't seem that curious. He kept glancing at the people in the restaurant and the doors.
His head was obviously stuck somewhere else.
The hostess led you to a more private part of the restaurant where there were less people and fewer windows. The warm lighting cast shadows against the walls, showing off the numerous expensive paintings. The whole place gave off the vibe that they were trying to be cozy, but only ended up being more uncomfortable. One of those paintings had to cost more than your entire house.
Turning your head, you whispered to Kieran. "I thought this restaurant wasn't this fancy... Do you think we have enough money?"
His green eyes melted into liquid emerald. His cheeks dimpled ever so slightly when he grinned. "Yes, Котик. We have enough."
"Are you sure? What if we don't and—"
He drummed his fingers against your back, making you jump slightly. He chuckled, mumbling. "I assure you, we do. Pinky promise."
You bit your lip. Before you had a chance to make sure for a third time, a familiar face caught your attention from the corner of your eye. You almost stopped dead in your tracks.
You barely recognized Danny. The slicked-back kid you knew in high school was gone and replaced with a charming, handsome man with a dazzling smile. His brown hair was neatly cut, his face clean-shaven, and his hazel eyes twinkling with amusement. He wore a suit. A fancy suit that reminded you of your father; maybe because of the blue tie. His shoes peeked out from under the table and you noticed how glossy they were. He stood up when he noticed the two of you, jutting out his hand with a grin. He was a couple of inches shorter than Kieran.
The hostess stood by with a plastic smile. You didn't like how she was treating him like her boss. You didn't think he owned the building, after all.
"(Y/N), it's so nice to see you again," he took your hand and placed a chaste kiss on it, glancing at Kieran when he leaned back up, "and you too, Kieran. I see you're still following her like a dog."
"Well, she is my wife so it's expected."
So much for being on good behavior. You didn't miss the small snark to Kieran's tone or the way his hand curled around your waist and pulled you ever so slightly closer to him. He smiled back at Danny cheerfully. Oh, how could you forget? He was joking with Danny again. The two of them were like that in high school (only Kieran was a lot more rude back then).
Danny's eyes widened in shock at the new information. "You two got married?"
"Did you think I would follow her around like this if I wasn't?"
He looked confused. Glancing between the two of you, his lips quirked up into a smile, albeit a little forced, and he motioned towards the table for you two to sit. "Oh my, well, apologies. You always followed her around like this in school when you were dating so I thought it was the same. Congratulations on your marriage."
This wasn't Danny. Well, it was him, but it wasn't the young man you thought you knew. Time changed everyone but you never expected him to change this much. This version of him was far too charismatic, charming, and snooty. His gaze felt daring and judging towards everyone in his line of sight—and in that moment, it was Kieran and you.
You said nothing and sat down.
"Thank you. We've only been married six months so it hasn't been long."
Danny took the menus from the hostess before speaking. He watched her scurry away. With a clear throat, he asked, "And you're happy?"
Your eye twitched. Who was he to ask that? Maybe the years whittled down his polite nature because you were too shocked to respond right away. Irritation flooded your senses and Danny glanced up. The words finally found your lips.
"Of course we are. I didn't know that you lost your manners over the years," you deadpanned. It sounded a little harsh, but you didn't care all that much. "Unless it's now polite to ask that to newlyweds?"
Danny blinked and he chuckled embarrassingly. "Oh, I—I'm sorry. I wanted to ask since we've been friends for so long... I meant no offense. I just want the two of you to be happy together."
Kieran shifted through the menu and said nothing, however, you noticed him glancing up at Danny with an unreadable expression every now and again. Well, great, now you felt like the bad guy. Your lips zipped shut. You blamed it on the restaurant, it was leaving you on edge. The fancy decor reminded you of your childhood home and the table you were sitting at was uncomfortable.
You opened your mouth to find something to say in response to that. "Oh, I see—uhm..."
"Thank you for the concern, but I don't believe our marriage is any of your business," Kieran butted in. "Friends or not, some things aren't meant to be asked in a public setting, much less over a meetup like this. We haven't seen you in a while and we have no obligations to share our marriage details with you."
Danny's cheeks reddened. You could only silently agree with Kieran, watching as your old friend sunk back in his seat and bounced his leg up and down. "Ah. You're correct, I apologize. It seems I stepped over a line."
Kieran was always better at words compared to you. Even if you were going to study psychology in school, you weren't the greatest at controlling your own life, much less your words. You shuffled uncomfortably in your seat and said nothing when a waitress came over to take your orders.
"Red wine and baked spaghetti for me," Danny said.
"I'd like water, no food, and my wife wants..."
"Uh, I'll just take a black coffee."
You didn't think you could stomach anything else other than that. Your nerves were rattling your bones like drums. Plus if Keiran wasn't getting food, you didn't want food. You didn't want to think about how much a full meal would cost anyway. The waitress said nothing after she wrote down her orders and walked away. When her heels were out of hearing range, Danny cleared his throat.
"So, how has life been treating you two?"
You straightened up. "It's been well. I'm going to school and Kieran is working full time. There isn't much excitement going on in our lives as of right now."
Danny looked at Kieran. "Full time? You? You always hated working when we were in high school, always running off to skip class or break some type of rule. What are you doing now? How do you do it when you've always been so wild?"
Kieran shuffled to get comfortable, laughing softly at the jabs towards his younger self. "Ah, well, you could say I am no longer a fifteen-year-old boy, that's how. But to answer your question, I'm an editor and freelance writer."
You nudged Kieran's side softly. Just because Danny missed the way he was mocking him, didn't mean you did. The mocking went right over Danny's head and he beamed, turning to look at you now.
"Oh, that's amazing! What about you, (Y/N)?"
"I'm going into schooling for psychology," you scratched at your neck sheepishly. "Not as creative as what Kieran is doing, but I try. I've always enjoyed the thought of helping people."
Danny's eyes sparkled and he leaned forward at the table. His hazel eyes softened and a glimmer of the old Danny shone through for a second. "Yeah, you've always been like that. Empathy has always been one of your strong suits. I remember thinking you had too much of it at times, especially when you started placing yourself in the shoes of people who didn't deserve it."
You tilted your head. He was rubbing you the wrong way. "People who didn't deserve it?”
"Yeah, like scumbags."
"Everyone deserves to be understood, Danny. We are all human. I would be a shitty therapist if I played Judge every session and decided which people deserved help or not."
Maybe you were just being sensitive? Or taking things too personally without reason? Ever since you saw Danny, your irritation kept bubbling up and up. It wasn't like he was doing anything specific to irk you, but he just was, and you couldn't place it. Maybe it was the way he was smiling, the way he kept looking at you, or how he barely glanced at Kieran at all.
Danny raised an eyebrow. He didn't pick up on your uncomfortable tone, so he carried on. "So if you met a serial killer, you think they'd deserve someone stepping in their shoes to understand them?"
"Of course! Yes."
"Even after they killed three people?"
"What type of question is that? Yes—"
Your jaw clamped shut when the waitress came back with the food and drinks. Your coffee was placed in front of you and Danny thanked her before taking his spaghetti. You didn't even notice when Kieran took a sip of your coffee, grimaced, and then gulped his water.
Danny had to be doing this on purpose to annoy you! What type of medical professional studying the human brain, to help people, would turn away someone acting on homicidal thoughts? Of course, you'd turn them over to the police, but if they required therapy and you were assigned, you wouldn't turn them away.
They did monstrous acts, but those monstrous acts were most likely developed through mental or sometimes physical trauma. It was up to psychologists and therapists to figure those things out! The more a professional learns, the more they can prevent things like that from happening in the future. Damn, all of this was making you think of the conversation you had with Kieran earlier in the car.
You watched as Danny took a bite of his food and hummed in delight. Your jaw clenched and unclenched.
"Danny, how have you been?" Kieran asked for you, deciding to move the conversation on for you. "You look happy and put together. Did you take up your family's line of being a surgeon?"
"Oh no, no! I could never. I started working for a bigger business and it pays well. I actually had the idea to reach out because something happened."
Kieran learned further and placed his elbows on the table. "Hm?"
"Yeah. (Y/N), your father called me recently. It made me think about high school and then out of the blue, I saw your social media. I knew I had to reach out and say hello."
The saliva in your mouth dried up within seconds. The world shifted and specks of color swirled in your peripherals, the edge of your toes running numb while itchiness spread across your body in rolling waves. Your nails bit into your palms. Maybe you heard him wrong. No way he just said your father, because no way would your father reach out to Danny. He knew very well you and Danny used to be friends, so he wouldn't have any reason to do so.
Kieran's hand slid over and squeezed your thigh. Unlike you, his face was unreadable, while the reflection inside your coffee mug stared back in apprehension.
"I—what? My father?"
Danny nodded. "Yes! It was a surprising call if I have to be honest. I didn't know how he got my number, he must have found it online somewhere. I doubt any of my coworkers gave it to him."
You were stunned. "...Well, uhm, I apologize that you had to deal with him."
"Ah no, it actually wasn't that bad. He was polite and started asking about what I was doing, and how my life was, and then started talking about you when the call ended. When I first got the call, I was expecting him to ask about my parents. I know that he enjoyed them when we were younger, but it turned out he didn't want to talk about them at all."
You were going to vomit. The world spun around and around, and suddenly, you were even more grateful that you didn't order any food. Kieran tenderly massaged your thigh. He didn't mind your shaking hands or the ways your nails raked over his skin, scraping at the scabs on his hands already. His soothing touch felt worlds apart from your experience.
You didn't get it. Why was your father calling Danny? Why did he mention you? Why was he even interested in Danny? Your family cut contact with you after your marriage and when you were friends with Danny in high school, they never talked to him then, so there was no reason to talk to him now. There was no reason for your father to be interested in your life when he made it pretty clear that he didn't want to be a part of it.
Fuck, you didn't want him to.
"And what was he saying?" Kieran asked the questions you couldn't.
Danny took a sip of his wine and glanced between Kieran and you. He said nothing on the matter, saying, "Something about the (L/N) business and (Y/N) as the successor. At one point he did start asking about your life. Though he never informed me that you were married, he said something about an arranged marriage, so I assumed you and Kieran broke up. That's why I was shocked to see Kieran here."
You opened your mouth but nothing came out. You preoccupied yourself with a greedy gulp of coffee, watching Danny waving his fork around.
"He didn't mention anything more about the arranged marriage when I asked. Instead, he kept blabbering about one of your cousins. Dominic? Or something? A fancy name, someone I've never met."
Dominic.
Suddenly, you didn't want to be here. You wanted to be home, in your bed, on your phone scrolling through social media to distract you from whatever was going on here. Kieran twisted his fingers into yours and pulled your hand away from your thigh; you were scratching at your leg without even realizing it, causing the skin to go red underneath.
"He said Dominic? Are you sure you heard him correctly?" you asked.
Danny tilted his head. "Yes, he said it plain as day."
What could you say in response to all that? Dominic, your older cousin's nickname, was someone who always helped your father around the house. When you were little, your main memory was your father shouting from his office and the following comes from Dominic calming him down. You viewed your father as the mad villain; Dominic was the sidekick, the butler, the one who pulled the strings. If they were talking about successors and mentioned your name, that meant they wanted you back in the family.
You? In the family again? The (L/N) family again?
You could recall how grand the house you grew up in was, and just how many patterns you could count on the ceiling every night. Muffled arguments, shady deals, and the constant flow of guests in and out of the house who leered at you like vultures. Your father never had normal "friends" and he made it quite clear that he did business with anyone who could meet his pay and requirements. Sometimes he threatened to sell you to them when you misbehaved. Even now, you couldn't tell if it was a real threat or not.
If he wanted you as his successor to his business, he'd do anything to get it. He wasn't the type of man who listened to the word "no". Denying him was something he always took extremely personally. Your mother knew that very well.
She didn't want children, but it wasn't like he listened. It made sense why she hated your guts. Each time she looked at you, she saw a little girl whom she was forced to birth to because her husband wasn't considerate enough of her feelings and autonomy. You supposed you couldn't blame her, but it didn't make it hurt less.
But if all of this was true, why hasn't he called you yet?
Sure, you blocked him a while ago, but that never stopped him in the past. He'd change his phone number, get other people to call, or find some other way around being ignored. He always found a way.
Danny sipped on his wine and watched you with a perplexed expression. He knew about your relationship with your family, but he didn't know they disowned you the day you got married to Kieran. He had no idea that mentioning them caused extreme anxiety, enough anxiety to make your skin itch all over your vision blur. Fight or flight was telling you to run for the hills.
Kieran leaned close to you and whispered, covering his mouth with his hand so Danny couldn't make out what he was saying. "Do you want to go home, Котик?"
Yes, you did. But leaving so abruptly in the middle of a meal with an old friend was rude and it wasn't like Danny purposely wanted to freak you out. You sucked in a sharp breath and tried to regain your senses. Kieran took your response as a no and frowned, but said nothing and leaned back. When you wanted to go home, you'd tell him, he trusted you.
"I see... thank you for telling me, Danny."
Danny grinned ear to ear. Whether or not he was disturbed by your obvious discomfort, he said nothing and took a bite of his food before swallowing. "Talking to your father gave me an idea, (Y/N). Of course, you don't have to agree with me or anything, but I wanted to share what I thought with you."
You didn't have to be a genius to understand what you were feeling was dissociation. The more correct term, if you had to pull it from your medical textbooks, would be derealization. It felt as if your brain was outside your body and you were watching him blabber to someone who wasn't you. Like a fucked up fever dream.
You knew you weren't outside your body from a second point of view, but it felt like it. You rapidly blinked and took deep breaths to ground yourself. It wasn't helping that much.
"I've been looking for someone to fill in a missing spot on my team. Where I work is a very important place, so it is not something I can just let random people apply for. But you're not a random nobody! I trust you more than anyone I've interviewed, and we have been searching for more empathetic and ambitious workers."
Wait, wait, wait.
One moment he was talking about how your father tried to get information out of him, but now he was saying something about a job opportunity. You refrained from rubbing your temples. Danny didn't notice your mood and kept chattering, his smile switching to that familiar 'business' smile that your father always had. He wasn't giving you any time to think.
"I wanted to—"
"Daniel," Kieran hummed, his voice heavier than normal. It sounded foreign to your ears. "Be considerate and stop talking so fast."
Danny flinched when he heard his real name. In a mere second, droplets of sweat built on his brow and he wiped them away with the back of his hand. Kieran stared at him with an unreadable expression. He couldn't tell if it was threatening or not, friendly or not. His bones lurched back in his seat when Kieran shifted.
When they were younger, Danny always felt inferior compared to Kieran. Grades and smarts didn't mean everything and when he lost you to him, that was the biggest blow he ever felt. Because yes, it was true that Danny had a crush on you back then, you were just too oblivious and dumb to see it. One of the many reasons he felt inferior was because Kieran never hesitated to throw a punch when need be—and that was terrifying.
He had a feeling that if he said the wrong thing at this table, he might become black and blue just like those kids used to be back in high school. His teeth gnawed on his bottom lip and he took a sip of his wine.
"Ah. Sorry."
Kieran just raised an eyebrow and nodded in return. He was scarier now than he was back then, especially with the width of his shoulders and the framing of his arms. He looked like he could crack his head open against the table.
You ran your hands over your hair and pushed it all back from your face, not paying attention enough to hear or see what was going on between them. Gather your thoughts, take a breath, and pull yourself together.
Even if your family was planning to drag you into the business, it wasn't like they could do anything. You were married to Kieran and you were a grown-ass adult. You had people to back you up if something wrong happened. Plus, it wasn't like your family was in the restaurant with you. You'd know if they were!
Danny cleared his throat and dragged you from your thoughts. "(Y/N)?"
"Oh, I'm sorry! I was just a little shocked," which was a plain lie but you said it with your chest, so that was all that mattered. "Uhm—go ahead. What were you saying about work? You mentioned a team of some sort?"
He was glad to move on as well. A grin fixed its way up on his face and you shivered slightly.
"What I was saying was that your father gave me an idea for work. I need someone to fill in a spot and when he mentioned you, I realized I trust you a whole lot more than any person I have interviewed. You'd be paid, of course, and the business I work for might even be willing to help with school payments if your work is impressive enough."
This definitely felt like a fever dream. The depth of the table felt so far away and the coloring of the lighting felt dim and soulless. The conversation being held was being jumped through hoops and hoops of new information without any lead-up or warning.
You rubbed your brow. Wasn't he just using you? At this point, you were aware that this was just a business proposition, not a meeting with an old friend. If you had to sum up this whole meeting, you've talked more about his work than anything else. Your anxiety fizzled into anger and your teeth clenched together.
"Did my father put you up to this?"
You had to ask it. You didn't put it below or above your father to ask Danny to do something for him, and if you had to be honest, you didn't trust Danny enough to turn down your father. Not when he wasn't his old self anymore. If this was the old Danny, you would have trusted him. Not this one.
Danny's mouth formed an 'o' shape and he shook his head. "No, no! This was totally my idea. Back when we were in school together, I knew how bad your family treated you. I wouldn't listen to anything he said anyway. He sparked an idea, it wasn't his own though."
Kieran was saying nothing. He was staring at you from the corner of his eye. Whatever he was thinking, he wasn't voicing it. You were glad that he wasn't arguing or saying anything. You were already dissociating enough as it was, so you were grateful for his quietness and soothing thumb that kept rubbing fingers on your hand. It was his way of trying to ground you.
"So you're saying my father didn't give you this idea or plan this in your head? Or tried to persuade you of anything?"
"No! I promise!"
You weren't sure you believed him. There was this sneaking suspicion that he worked for your father. Maybe he didn't, but you were paranoid now. Especially since Danny mentioned Dominic and the next possible successor of the (Y/N) business, which so happened to be you.
"Okay, okay..."
Kieran cleared his throat. "And what business do you work for? You haven't told us yet, and believe it or not, I find that rather important when being offered a job deal."
He blinked and his eyes lit up with stars. He sat up in his seat and took his elbows off the table, his legs bouncing up and down under the table. It was as if his personality changed. One moment he was anxious, the next moment he was levitating off his seat in pure pride.
"Leovana. I work with Leovana Co."

Rancher Yandere x Reader (Gn)

Warnings: Abuse, kidnapping, average yandere behavior
“You’re gorgeous,” Reeves drawled, his big hazel eyes gazing up at you. If anyone had happened to catch a glimpse of the two of you, they’d likely have smiled at the sight. Him kneeling before you, chin resting on your thighs, while your fingers wandered through his messy chestnut curls. But they probably wouldn’t have noticed the metal chains around your ankles or the barred windows. They sure wouldn’t have seen the tears threatening to spill from your eyes or the ugly bruise blossoming on your cheek. But Reeves noticed. How could he not? He was the one who’d snatched you off that dusty Southern Road. The one who’d kept you here for weeks, caged like a lamb for slaughter.
“Sweetheart?” Reeves murmured, purring like a kitten. “You ain’t smilin’.”
You swallowed hard, brows knitting together as you forced your lips into a pitiful excuse for a smile. He liked it when you were sweet. Reeves watched your face, his gaze locking onto your dry lips. Slowly, like he was approaching a skittish critter, he brought his fingers to them. He slipped a finger inside your mouth, making your bottom lip droop. He tasted like dirt and copper. “You gonna smile for me, Sweetheart?” His frown deepened, eyes turning suddenly cold. “Or am I gonna have to teach you again?”
You shivered and shook your head quickly. “I’m sorry.”
Reeves sighed, his expression softening just enough to mask the darkness lurking behind it. “That’s better,” he said, drawing his finger back and wiping it on his jeanst. “Now, I’ve got to feed the cows, but you stay put, alright? Don’t go wanderin’ off.”
You nodded, your heart racing as he stood and strode away, his boots thudding heavily on the wooden floor. The moment his back turned, the weight of your despair settled in, heavy and suffocating. The air felt thick around you. You had been planning this escape for weeks, each day loosening the bars on the window, each moment spent quietly chipping away at the chains that bound you. You had to do it tonight.
After counting to one hundred, you approached the window. The creaking sound echoed like a gunshot in the stillness, amplifying your fear, your pulse quickening in response. With trembling hands, you grasped the edge of the window, forcing it open wider. The cool night air washed over your skin, a stark contrast to the stale, confined atmosphere of the farmhouse. It felt like freedom itself, invigorating and electric. You took a deep breath, filling your lungs with the scent of damp earth and wildflowers.
You slipped through the gap, heart pounding as you landed softly in the grass. You ran through the fields, the cool blades brushing against your legs. The moon hung low in the sky, illuminating your path, guiding you toward the promise of escape. The rhythm of your feet against the ground matched the frantic beat of your heart, a melody of desperation and hope intertwining. When you reached the fence marking the edge of his ranch, a flare of hope ignited within you. You could almost taste freedom, a sweet, tantalizing possibility. You were almost there. Your heart soared, urging you to leap over the barrier that separated you from the world outside. But just as you prepared to launch yourself over the top of the fence, you felt arms wrap around you, a vice grip that slammed you to the ground. The air rushed from your lungs, and the world blurred for a moment before sharpening into the harsh reality of your situation.
“Shit!” you gasped, panic coursing through you as you struggled against his hold. His eyes blazed with fury.
“Thought you could just run away, huh?” he growled, his voice low and menacing, dragging you back towards the farmhouse by your hair. You screamed, the sound echoing in the stillness, but the emptiness of the night swallowed your cries, leaving you feeling even more isolated.
He secured your chains even tighter, the metal biting into your skin like a cruel reminder of your captivity. “No more walks, no more fun,” he spat, his voice laced with rage. “You need to learn your place.” Each word felt like a blow, striking at your heart and shattering any remnants of hope you clung to.
He turned away, and the silence that followed felt suffocating, a heavy blanket wrapping around you. As despair washed over you, the tears you’d held back finally spilled over, hot and unrelenting. You sank to the floor, sobs wracking your body.
Suddenly, Reeves was there, his presence looming like a storm cloud, dark and oppressive. He knelt beside you, those big hazel eyes softening momentarily. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close against his chest, his heartbeat steady and strong.
“Shh, it’s alright,” he murmured, his voice soothing in an unsettling way, the kind of comfort that felt like it could just as easily turn to violence. “I’m here, Sweetheart. You just got a little too wild, that’s all.”
You felt your body tense, the dichotomy of his embrace and the chains that bound you causing your heart to shatter further. How could he be so tender and yet so cruel? The sobs turned into quiet whimpers as you melted into him, the warmth of his body conflicting with the cold reality. You wanted to recoil, to push him away, but every fiber of your being felt trapped in this paradox.
He stroked your hair gently, the gesture both tender and invasive, whispering reassurances that felt like lies. “We’re gonna be just fine, you and me. I won’t let you go again. I promise.” The words dripped with a false sweetness that made your skin crawl.
But as you clung to him, your heart heavy with the truth, you realized that in his twisted version of love, you were never meant to be free. You were his. Forever.

PICK A CARD: what red flags you should look out for
Hello and welcome to this reading! Here I will tell you what red flags you should look out for. I hope you enjoy this reading!

Pile 1:
You have to be careful for people who are passive-aggressive, or say rude things but try to cover it up with a fake compliment. Those people do not have good intentions toward you, not at all. Those kinds of people, who make you feel a bit bad even though ‘they don’t mean it that way’ are people you should not have in your life, people you should be avoiding. Such people do mean it the way you try to convince yourself that they don’t. They do talk down on you, they intend to make you feel bad about yourself and/or the things you do but do it in such a way you feel like it’s just your insecurities talking, and that in actuality they care about you and want you to do well. Such people are jealous of you, they don’t want you to succeed.

Pile 2:
Be wary of people who give you lots of attention in a short amount of time, people who give you a bunch of gifts and make you feel so loved you don’t know what to do with yourself. You are prone to being love-bombed due to your wish for love, due to your need of receiving it. You are a tat bit naïve when it comes to these things, and it is important for you to keep in check whether something is normal, and be aware that the moment this attention and love suddenly dies down it is an attempt of getting you emotionally reliant on them. They want you to need them, to crave and beg for their attention. They want you to be completely engulfed by them, not knowing what to do if you don’t get their attention.

Pile 3:
You have to look out for people who ask you for things; specifically money. In general, if people ask things of you whether they are notes from a class, carrying something for someone, helping them understand things, or borrowing some money, that is all fine and you are allowed to do those things in order to help the people you care about, but be careful how much you do it and in what amounts. You need to get things in return, at least a little bit, in order to have an equal relationship with one another. You shouldn’t get taken advantage of like that, and your kindness and need to help people can get you in such situations. If people ask you for money once it is fine, but make sure it isn’t a pattern that keeps repeating; especially if they don’t give you the money back on time or at all.
