Michael Craze pops up as Vince Kelly, a teenage runaway from a borstal centre, in Gideon's Way: Boy With Gun (1.23, ITC, 1966)
#fave spotting#michael craze#ben jackson#doctor who#gideon's way#1966#boy with gun#itc#a relatively rare fave spotting! outside of his DW work‚ Mike didn't make a huge amount of appearances in cult tv‚ at least not many that#survive or are easily seen; he'd previously starred in Target Luna‚ a completely lost serial‚ but didn't return when the show carried on as#Pathfinders in Space (oddly‚ perhaps because of a change of director‚ every single returning character was recast) and beyond#there were also episodes of Dixon pf Dock Green and Armchair Theatre but these are also in all likelihood lost tv; others‚ like an ep of#Hammer's sci fi anthology Journey to the Unknown‚ are frustratingly unavailable to the average viewer (I was really hoping Network would#do something with JttU after they announced an agreement with Hammer but alas it wasn't to be)#mike would have been about 22 when filming this ep (around May '65) but was still largely playing juvenile parts as here#(his age isn't given but as a borstal runaway he's clearly intended to be a teen); this aired in feb or march '66 in most regions‚ by which#time he had presumably been cast in DW (or very near to it; he'd debut in The War Machines in June of that year)#DW would act as a sort of transition for Craze from youth parts into adult roles (i mean Ben's own age is debatable but I'd say he's surely#meant to be at least 18?). there'd be some more guest spots and a few horror films to come (he was a regular collaborator with Norman#J. Warren) but he doesn't pop up with the regularity of many other Who companions so this was a lovely little surprise (zero memory of him#being in it from when i first watched years ago)

hi nalyra, a couple of days ago i saw you answering something about the possibility of tr*mp being elected and that not being great for iwtv and shows in general i think. i'm not sure i understood what's going to happen now that the nightmare came true. would you mind explaining to me?
Well….
I mean, you heard about Project 2025, maybe?
If you haven't... well, I posted about it months ago, and ... it might be too late now, but the Trump administration and his enablers set up this nice little playbook. It's worth looking into, because that's what they want.
We'll see if they manage, but... remember how fast the environmental websites disappeared last time? The LGBT ones? Yep. I remember. First day. And it's easy to check the shit show that happened because of Trump's first term, and still...
Anyways, what does that mean for IWTV?
Let me be cynical for a moment - what do you think it means?
A show, addressing racial issues, with a color-conscious recast. A show, featuring more or less all queer characters. A show, about to feature non-binary and genderqueer characters. A show, not afraid of putting its fingers into wounds.
It is a good thing they're about to start filming s3 already.
I hope we will get s4.
For more I do not dare to hope for.
Tumblr media
I ... don't think it's going to be cancelled immediately. And maybe we'll get lucky and AMC will continue to thrive through the people loving the show. Luckily AMC is situated in New York, too.
But if they implement legislation, like they plan to?
Then that will impact. You probably cannot quite fathom how much - yet.
If the Trump administration manages to implement half of what they're planning it will throw back the US for decades.
And with it the culture, and ... well. TV shows, too. Remember all the porn bans, and - even more benevolently - the cookie popups?? LEGISLATION. The wet dream of these people. And they just scored a major victory.
IWTV is the very antithesis for a lot of their beliefs. Queer, racially sensitive and highly critical.
It will be a thorn in their side, and they will seek to remove it.
It will be up to us to make it lucrative enough for AMC to put up with the backlash btw or even fight back against legislation/censorship. Like, seriously. Should IWTV get 10 seasons? YEP. Does AMC plan to do so? Yes. At this point at least they do.
Will they be able to fight against legislation? Debatable.
So maybe this fandom can fucking stop infighting about fucking fictional characters and maybe actually work to keep this friggin' show.
Hope dies last. -.-
Oh, and while we're at it: It's a good thing Ao3 is in CA, but please don't think that they are absolutely safe there. Four years is a long time, and I don't think Trump is going to hold any election after those four years.... -.-

Vulpes Inculta isn’t real and here’s why. I mean, he’s real, obviously, we know there is a guy named Vulpes Inculta, but I think Vulpes is much more a character played by an actor than he is truly his own person.
This falls in line with the inconsistency of the timeline in regards to Vulpes’s age, why we see so many headcanons about Vulpes Inculta being a title passed down rather than the one man we’ve always known.
And I think the truth (well, not the objective truth—we’re talking personal interpretation and headcanons here) is somewhere in between.
There is a stark difference between Vulpes Inculta, the poster boy, the big bad of the legion, the propaganda if you will, and Vulpes Inculta, the man resembling Adam Sandler who approaches you at Nipton. Simply put, I think he’s playing a character for the Legion. He has his own personality and life behind the scenes—bits and pieces of which you can pick up from Caesar. But that all is second to his persona. He’s such a grandiose character, and yet, he’s supposed to be the Legion’s best spy? Then why is he so easily identifiable? Why is he the face plastered on NCR posters? What good is a spy you can see coming from a mile away? One you know by name?
Vulpes is propaganda. He’s a decoy for the NCR. He’s something for them to point a finger at, someone to be an enemy of the people and a name to be feared. If the NCR thinks they’ve identified their enemy, then the real spies can go under the radar.
So the Legion tells Vulpes to go do this and that, keep up appearances, terrorize the locals—go do big, obvious, showy things. Keep it up champ, go make yourself useful. I don’t think he knows he’s being used as a front. Given the near brushes with execution Vulpes has had with the Legion in the past, and how unassuming he looks standing next to Caesar as opposed to at Nipton, I think the Legion couldn’t care less about him. No one within talks about him, only the NCR does. He does his best to keep himself relevant by putting on a great new spectacle of terror, see, look, Caesar, check out this town I massacred!
But ultimately, he’s an actor. Anyone can play the role. So if he slips up one too many times, proves to be more trouble than he’s worth—well, he can always be recast.
How much Vulpes himself is actually responsible for is.. Debatable. Other than what we witness firsthand, we may not ever know. It’s hard to tell where the propaganda ends and truths begin. Only Vulpes himself can really answer that, and who’s to say he’s a reliable narrator?

Vivi-Design EAH Fancast 2.0 (Pt.3)
I'm back from the dead. Sorry for being MIA for a while but I'm back now. I'm doing Pt.3 of my @vivi-designs EAH Recast.
Part 1: https://www.tumblr.com/childofmattel/735536666910015488/vivi-design-eah-fancast-20-pt-1
Part 2: https://www.tumblr.com/childofmattel/735638317217021952/vivi-design-eah-fancast-20-pt2
Part 4: https://www.tumblr.com/childofmattel/739542620483747840/vivi-design-eah-fancast-20-pt4
Part 5: https://www.tumblr.com/childofmattel/739611898471923712/vivi-design-eah-fancast-20-pt5
Anyways let's get to it.
Adara Lael as Holly O'Hair
Tumblr media
I know her from this Christmas movie I was forced to watch. (I forgot the name) I think that she'd make an amazing Holly O'Hair but idk. I just really like this fancast even if the actress is a little underrated.
Loren Janae Poppy O'Hair
Tumblr media
I'm glad I found actresses that were actually twins. I think she and her sister really match with Vivi's idea with them.
Siena Agudong as Cerise Hood
Tumblr media
I was debating changing Cerise's FC but I feel like Siena Agudong is honestly the perfect fit. Idk if she's tall like Cerise is described to me but I don't think her height is the most pivotal role of her character.
Queenie Mae Villaluz as Ramona Badwolf
Tumblr media
If you guys don't listen to Boys World (and you like Pop) you totally should, they're so good. I think Olivia Rodrigo matched vivi's Pinterest aesthetic of Ramona but I feel like overall Queenie fits as Rosabella Badwolf. Although she's not an actress I feel like she fits as Ramona.
Jack Pililaau as Tucker
Tumblr media
I'm keeping the same fc for Tucker cuz why not.
Adrian Lyles as Sparrow Hood
Tumblr media
I wanted to cast someone a little younger for Vivi-design's EAH because even though Bryant Barnes is a good FC I think he's a little too old to be playing a teenager even if it is just a fancast. If this were to actually be a live-action show I think Adrian Lyles would fit as Sparrow.
Hanni Pham as Duchess Swan
Tumblr media
There needs to be more Vietnamese representation in Hollywood because it was not easy finding one. Hanni Pham is also a dancer like Duchess and even though she's not an actress I think look-wise she can portray Duchess.
Sean Kaufman as Hopper Croakington II
Tumblr media
I think he looks a lot like the Hopper in vivi's art, although he doesn't have red hair which really doesn't matter.
Brianna Reed as C.A. Cupid
Tumblr media
While scrolling through Cupid's pinterest I saw this picture and was like "automatically yes." Look at this picture and tell me this isn't a perfect Cupid.
Marsai Martin as Blondie Lockes
Tumblr media
I saw on fancast on Tiktok and I haven't been able to get it out of mind. I just love the idea of Marsai as Blondie Lockes. And this picture with the blonde braids is stunning. She'd be a great Blondie.
Shahadi Wright Joseph as Cedar Wood
Tumblr media
No changes. Shahadi Wright Joseph forever.
Maripaz Romero as Rosabella Beauty
Tumblr media
Like vivi's Rosabella she has a prosthetic leg. Speaking of I just want to take a moment to appreciate all the rep Vivi-design's EAH has. I do love EAH but come to think of it -- it was really white so all this rep makes me happy.
Anyways that's part 3, again sorry for the long hiatus. For my Re-Cast I'm planning to do more parts, including one with the EAH character's parents.

Today (November 17, 2024) marks a decade since Rokurō Naya passed away. He's the voice of many characters across several different media, and was also an actor. The role I best know him for is as the voice of Gunter, from Fire Emblem Fates (2015) and Heroes (2017).
I'd like to tell a little story.
My love for Gunter's character needs no background or explanation; just look at my online presence since February 2016, when Fates released in North America. In the weeks I spent waiting for my English copy of Conquest to arrive in the mail, I spent hours scouring the web trying to learn everything about Gunter that I could. Naturally, this also led me to the actors behind his voice.
I still remember how sad I was in the moment when I learned his Japanese voice actor had passed away. Sadder still, that he had passed away before the game's original release in June 2015.
If websites noting his credited roles are to be believed, his role as Gunter was likely the last he voiced before his passing in 2014. When Fire Emblem Heroes released in 2017, they would go on to reuse his voice lines from Fates for the mobile game. There is much online speculation that this is why Gunter has yet to receive an alt in FEH. To show respect to Rokurō Naya, they have not recasted Gunter's voice for a decade now (at least, to our knowledge).
But this is not what I want to be the focal point of my story. There are more sincere things I wish to share at this time.
Whether you believe in fate, or chance, or that the universe works in mystery ways, I always found it quite poetic—if not also heart-breaking—that things turned out this way. In the Revelation path, following Gunter's defeat as the traitor to Corrin's army, as well as the mad dragon behind the entire game's sequence of events, you as the player get to read the end cards for all the characters in your army. You learn what they're doing after the war, how they're assisting in revitalization efforts, etc. Notably, however, Gunter does not take part in this.
(Side note: Gunter's unpaired Conquest ending and Revelation ending are the same, given that you can't support him with anyone in Rev.)
Gunter's end card for Rev tells you he disappears soon after the war ends, never to be seen again. You also learn that it's debated if he died soon afterwards, or spent the rest of his days in contemplation.
It's quite sad to me, I've realized over the years, that similarly to Gunter, Rokurō Naya would not live on to see the success of Fates as a game. Gunter's end card is bittersweet. To never get to see the outcome of the story you play such a essential role in; I often wonder if Gunter's end card was wrote like this intentionally, or if this is another coincidence.
Neither would he get to see the amount of joy Gunter's character brings to fans, which he played such a role in bringing to life. And let me tell you, he does an absolutely amazing job. There's this charm and comfort his voice gives to the character when you listen to his voice lines. It always makes me feel like I am listening to a fun-loving elder who I could trust with all my secrets. And I think that's so brilliant given the entirety of Gunter's character: in-game, he's a dependable source of wisdom while, simultaneously, he's crafting the most heart-breaking betrayal. He's one hell of a complex character to unravel, and they did such a superb job casting his original voice.
I think it's the little things like this (both those which come about by chance or with intention) that keep me so invested in FE14. It never fails to remind me that no matter the extent, one's efforts will always be of value to someone else out there in the world.
Enjoy your peaceful rest, Rokurō Naya.

After switching sides on the whole recast vs. legit debate- you sort of realize that pro-recasters just spew a bunch of BS to make themselves seem like the better people. I'm genuinely like- mind blown. I was told legit collectors were stuck up pricks who hated everyone who didn't "do it right" after being around them they're usually pretty nice. Yes people are dumb or easily offended, but they're not horrible people

Listen I don't think we appreciate how big of an impact the casting of Fish Upon the Sky has had for like so much of the development of gmmtv bls
FUTS was originally going to star Pond and Winny
It was then changed to Pond and Phuwin and Winny was given a minor role along with Satang
P'Aun notices Winny and Satang's chemistry between their characters
When adapting My School President, P'Aun decides to change the plot of MSP and writes out the love triangle of tinn/gun/sound and replaces it with Sound & Win being a couple
MSP does numbers and now Winny and Satang are an official branded pair
Winny and Satang then play a couple together in We Are
Back to Pond and Phuwin! Because of FUTS the two become a branded pair
P'Jojo said he was specifically thinking about Pond and Phuwin when developing Never Let Me Go, so there's a good chance the show wouldn't have happened at all if PondPhuwin wasn't a thing (or at least look very different or be given to a completely different set of actors)
Pond and Phuwin also starred in We Are together
But back to NLMG, Perth and Chimmon are first introduced as a branded pair in that show
Perth and Chimmon then star in Dangerous Romance together (it is impossible to know if gmmtv would have ever made them a pair if nlmg didn't exist but for the sake of this post, let's assume that they wouldn't be a thing without nlmg establishing them)
Perth and Chimmon were also set to be in Perfect 10 Liners together, but Chimmon has since dropped the project and Santa Pongsapak has been recast in his role
Back to NLMG, in the Our Skyy 2 special episodes, Marc and Pawin are teased as a pair after having no projects together since 2020 (with My Gear Your Gown)
Shortly after, Dangerous Romance starts airing where Marc and Pawin play the side couple (the os2 was clearly setting up their reintroduction. also worth noting that marc was not in the regular nlmg and pawin was in many of the other os2 eps, so it's a deliberate choice to do this in the nlmg eps)
Marc and Pawin are then set to be in We Are together as well, but due to controversy, Pawin steps down and now Marc is paired with Poon
Back to FUTS!
Before Phuwin took over the lead role, I believe he was supposed to play either Neo or Louis' character (I think it was Neo's) but the point is that they had to recast that role and now Neo and Louis are a pair
Neo and Louis are then cast as the side couple in The Eclipse
Only Friends comes out and Neo gets cast, but allegedly Louis' mom didn't want him star in such a high heat show with sex and drugs and whatnot, so Neo is now paired with Mark
Neo and Mark are then cast as a couple in Cooking Crush, but because gmmtv overbooked him, Mark had to step down from the project and was recast with Aungpao
(this on I have the least evidence for) but Mark is going to be the lead in Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist and is paired with Ohm Thipakorn, which if he and Neo had done Cooking Crush together and cemented themselves as a branded pair, could have been different
Anyways the casting, development, or even very existence of: My School President, We Are, Never Let Me Go, Dangerous Romance, Perfect 10 Liners, The Eclipse, Only Friends, Cooking Crush, and Sweet Tooth Good Dentist, have all been influenced by the existence of Fish Upon the Sky.
Whether or not Fish Upon the Sky is a good show or not is it's own debate. But one thing we can all agree on is that it has shaped a toooon of shows and will continue to do so as these branded pairs make more shows and get recast and so on and so forth. And all of this is directly because they recast Winny with Phuwin.

The Reinvention of Kamala Harris
Democrats stuck with Biden because they thought she was even weaker. Has that changed?
By Gerard Baker Wall Street Journal
The only real question for the 90 days remaining in this presidential campaign: Can Operation Transfiguration succeed?
Can the Democrats and a collaborative media pull off their recasting of Vice President Kamala Harris from the verbally maladroit, politically inept, ruinous-policy-espousing electoral dud we have all seen over the past five years into the holy trinity of Joan of Arc, Harriet Tubman and Margaret Thatcher we have been presented with in the past two weeks?
Can, shall we say, the protective phalanx of Democratic aides, strategists, fundraisers, reporters, editors, influencers and Taylor Swift persuade enough voters to imagine a presidential future of what can be, unburdened by the reality of the vice president, presidential candidate, senator and state attorney general that has been?
Time—or the lack of it—is the key to the operation’s success. I say 90 days but in practice they will need to keep the hype show on the road for just two months after an August of jubilees.
This week the hosannas will ring anew when Ms. Harris announces her vice-presidential nominee. It’s a sure bet that when the man is unveiled we will be treated to a week of gauzy newspaper accounts of his genius and kindliness. Television pundits will explain how the pair on the ticket represent the perfect distillation of American diversity. They will take their campaign on the road, Ms. Harris never more than a few feet away from her truly indispensable companion, the teleprompter, and a much safer distance from any enterprising reporter who may ask a difficult question.
Then we will have a week of a Democratic convention like no other. It will open with Biden Night (only one), when the withered man the party has just knifed will be hoisted aloft before adoring delegates and media panegyrists and hailed as Mount Rushmore-ready. Then, three nights of tributes to the Pantsuit Pericles bidding to run the country for the next four years, culminating in a peroration that will leave White House correspondents weeping.
Operation Transfiguration may be the most audacious plan a political party has ever undertaken. It requires the effective deployment of the full toolkit of press and social media deception: selective editorial amnesia, gaslighting, memory-holing. The whole campaign is the political and media equivalent of answering every question voters may have about the pre-July 21 Ms. Harris with “404 Error Page Not Found.”
If you think I’m overstating the extent to which Ms. Harris is being reclothed, cast your mind back oh so many weeks ago, before President Biden self-immolated at the presidential debate, before a would-be assassin nearly took down Donald Trump, before Mr. Biden was bundled out of the race—to late June, a political epoch away, when polling, punditry and political logic all told us the same thing: Ms. Harris was a loser. Her approval rating had been hovering lower even than Mr. Biden’s for most of the past few years. Many Democrats were saying privately—and some publicly—that if Mr. Biden were jettisoned from the ticket, there should be an accelerated primary contest because they couldn’t risk letting the vice president simply ascend to the job.
We are all familiar with why that was: memories of Ms. Harris’s political identity as the most liberal member of a Senate that included Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren; a presidential campaign five years ago in which she pledged to eliminate private health insurance, ban fracking, give benefits to illegal immigrants, and force gun owners to sell certain firearms to the government; more recent recollections of her San Francisco-bred extremism such as when she helped raise money for the legal defense of rioters and looters in the summer of 2020; and her role in helping Mr. Biden deliver a long list of economic, social and national-security failures for the country—most obviously at the border.
All this is why so many Democrats were alarmed at the thought of a Harris nomination, the same nomination they now trumpet as triumphant.
Only two things can derail Operation Transfiguration: The first is a focused, disciplined and relentless Republican campaign that raises the debate above the vacuity of social-media memes and reminds voters that the Democratic candidate is the same person—and her party is the same party—that she was two weeks ago. If the election is decided on the issues, on voters’ perceptions of the state of the country, Ms. Harris is surely in as much trouble as Mr. Biden was. If the campaign is dominated by pointless assertions about Ms. Harris’s racial identity or her maternal status or all the other entertaining little diversions Mr. Trump likes to indulge, she may get away with skating past the realities of her past.
The other is the media. Are they really going to guide this campaign gently across the finish line? Is there anyone left beyond hostile outlets with a modicum of journalist dignity who is prepared to ask serious questions, do serious reporting, demand a press conference or two? Or are they all intent on doing what they nearly got away with doing for Mr. Biden the last few years and cover for someone evidently incapable of holding office?

This blog is not necessarily pro recast, but it is absolutely recast safe.
I do think that if you have the means to, you should absolutely support artists and pay them as much as they charge for legit dolls.
But I also recognise that there are so many reasons a person might not be able to do that and there are so many reasons a person may own recasted dolls regardless of whether they are able to get legit ones.
You are not a bad person if this hobby is not important enough for you to justify spending ridiculous amounts of money on, even if that means you buy recasted dolls.
You are not a bad person if you can’t afford to buy legit dolls, even if that means you buy recasted dolls.
You are not a bad person if you bought recasted dolls in the past and no longer support that industry but still love those recasted dolls.
You are not a bad person if you bought a recasted doll by accident thinking it was legit and you are not a bad person if you knowingly bought a recasted doll for any reason.
If you are happy, that is what matters. Respect the boundaries of others, but don’t let them police your enjoyment.
I will not be saying anything else on the topic of this Debate. This is my stance. Be nice to each other.

⚠️AHSOKA FINALE SPOILERS⚠️
Okay so imma talk a bit about this final episode cuz holy shit
So first Ashoka and Sabine are now stranded along with baylan and shin. Holy fuck. They sent Ezra home but now they’re stranded. I have a strong feeling Ahsoka and Sabine are going to grow very close. I genuinely thought they were gonna make it back or Ahsoka was gonna die fighting Morgan but I am glad that did not happen 🤧 I honestly have no predictions for a season 2 rn.
Baylan found statues of what looks to be The Father and The Brother (that’s what I’m going with rn they may not be) No sister but maybe that has something to do with Ahsoka idk. The Father statue also looks to be pointing at a mountain which probably holds the secrets Baylan is searching for.
Shin is going to join up with these samurai raiders. This is going to. Be interesting I feel like she is gonna become one of there leaders like Ezra to the Noti. Not much to say on this cuz it was a very small part of the episode but I did think it was interesting.
I honestly did not expect the whole Morgan becoming a full witch. It was cool to see how they become true nighsisters and how she got The Sword of Talzin. Also her fight with Ahsoka is very cool I’m glad we got that rematch but also Ahsoka is badass for killing Morgan with her own sword.
OKAY so I know there are gonna be a lot of mfs that hate this but SABINE USED THE FORCE. Idk how to feel about this. I think it’s cool and I’m gonna enjoy it and roll with it for now but I will say this. Not every character needs to be a Jedi but this I will say is pretty cool in my opinion ik this will be quite the debate.
I really wish we could have seen more of Baylan this episode especially since I know they are definitely gonna recast him cuz his role clearly isn’t finished. Now that the series is over I will say Ray Stevenson was an amazing actor and deserves so much credit for this role. I’m so sad he never got to see just how much we loved him in this. Rip Ray ❤️
Thrawn trying to get at Ahsoka saying she will become like her master. Ahsoka before this series I believe would have been greatly affected by that statement but after the WBW meeting with Anakin she clearly has so much more confidence in who she is. Very cool to see Ahsoka’s development throughout this series. She has become much more warm and happy it was nice to see her grow.
Also I wonder why Ahsoka says this is where her and Sabine belong? Maybe she is saying it’s like the will of the force that they are here but this is definitely going to be interesting. Now that Thrawn is an immediate danger to The New Republic I believe they will make more of an effort to go get Ahsoka and Sabine but I do think it will be awhile. Though I’m very excited to see how this changes Ahsoka and Sabine as master and apprentice and also to see if they get stronger in the force and stuff especially since those statues of The father and The brother are there. This place clearly has a deep connection to the force.
Chopper instantly knowing it was Ezra 😭❤️ also Hera’s reaction to seeing Ezra again but also now he’s back and Ahsoka and Sabine are gone. These mfs can’t catch a break.
Also then talking about Kanan with huyang 😭 then huyang giving Ezra the one and only replacement to Kanan’s lightsaber. I’m so glad we got some Kanan talk.
Also we got to se MORAI. I was waiting for her to pop up I’m so glad we got to see her since we know she follows Ahsoka wherever she goes even if it’s across the galaxy.
And finally. Holy shit force ghost Anakin. This ain’t WBW Ahsoka’s version of Anakin. This is him. Ahsoka got her final closure with her master. This also may be the last time we see Anakin. If this is the last time we see him I wanna say that Hayden has done such a good job at this character. I genuinely loved watching him on screen.
This is about all I have to say about this episode right now. It was a good finally with one hell of a cliffhanger. I definitely think we are getting a season 2. When? I have no clue imma be honest i have a feeling it’s gonna be a few years but I’ll wait as long as I get more greatness like this series.
This has genuinely become my favorite Star Wars show. Every week had me on the edge of my seat excited for the next episode and I know a lot of others felt the same way. The acting was good. The writing was good. The music was fucking amazing every episode. Great world building, great villains, just overall great storytelling. I’m very excited to see what happens next

Religious Duty the TV series runs for 6 seasons and ends on a cliffhanger because the producers spent what was left of the budget on strippers and blow. A decade later it gets picked up for a Modern Ephemera miniseries/reunion (half of the cast has been recast at this point and fans spend the rest of time debating about whether this is canon or not).

Disney Sequel Movies Final Results
Tumblr media
Congratulations to "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" for being our ultimate tournament winner!
We would also like to congratulate "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride" for winning the Animated Sequel Tournament!
Tumblr media
Both of these movies are fantastic in their own right but also masterfully continue their original story into the next phase of their worlds. Well chosen, voters.
Thank you to everyone who submitted movies, reblogged/commented/liked our posts, and voted in the poll(s). Without your engagement, we would've stopped a while ago.
Below are our final thoughts from this tournament:
First things first: we absolutely thought Cinderella 3 was going to win it all. It would be interesting to see how Cinderella 3 would do up against Dead Man's Chest. Would it be closer? or would Cinderella get crushed worse?
Speaking of Cinderella 3, the Animated finals was so close! The first half of the week C3 managed a small but consistent lead over LK2. Then LK2 fans were mobilized and suddenly LK2 was miles ahead! the last two-three days C3 fans managed close the gap. It was like there was a steady ratio of votes that had been disrupted by the mid-week spike. We firmly believe that had the poll been open for another day (even half-day) C3 would have taken the title back. Alas, LK2 won fair and deservedly by 17 votes.
On the other side, Thor: Ragnarok got further than we though considering the number of people who disliked it in the first round. We were pretty sure it would be taken out by Spiderman: No Way Home. But winning there pretty much guarenteed it would beat the DCOM film.
Speaking of DCOM, we had no idea High School Musical 2 was so popular! It's our favorite of the HSM group, but we were thinking the more recent Descendants would be more of a challenge.
Another close race was Pirates v Princess. There PotC won by just 18 votes. We had expected it to be a close one. This was also the poll we anticipated it most likely for people to bring the actors into the debate to persuade. As great as it would have been to see praise of Julie Andrews or Keira Knightly or Orlando Bloom or Chris Pine we want to thank everyone for not using us as a place to debate the personal actors involved in the films.
Going off on actors a moment, how many of you all know that George of the Jungle was recast for the sequel?
We would also like to highlight that the top four submissions we received were Cinderella 3 (top), The Lion King 2 (second), The Little Mermaid 2/The Lion King 1 1/2 (tied third).
(We had structured the bracket so those four would have the best chance to face off. But Kronk happened (in the best way))
In fact, Cinderella 3 was the first submitted, had 3 of the first 6 submissions, and was almost able to book end by almost being the last submission too. (C3 also had enough submitted propaganda that rounds 1 and 2 are different where everyone else is working with the same)
The most submitted Live Action sequel was The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
As for a lesson learned: We know the way a ballot/poll/tournament is structured will inherently impact the results. We don't think we will set up the first round like this one's again when there's less than 64.
Now for the standard disclaimer: with the exception of 1 or 2, all the propaganda used was not created by ourselves. The words were pulled from the google form, the gifs are from the search here, the videos were from youtube.
Finally, for those of you anxiously awaiting everyone's favorite color:
Tumblr media
Half of y'all like the blues/purples! Blue is slightly more beloved on it's own
about 7% of you picked the wrong answer (black) but none of you picked the other wrong answer (white)!
We gotta acknowledge the call out for Teal specifically. It aint blue, it aint green!
But secretly, while we might say purple when asked, we agree with the 2.5% of y'all who can't decide.

Mark Ruffalo is my favorite OG Avenger. Especially given how he was the only one who didn't attend a stupid wedding in Cape Cop or a drab house in MA or wherever else they want people to believe it took place. Instead he was off somewhere with Willem Dafoe posting pictures with adorable baby llamas. 🥰
Interesting point for debate, though: is Ruffalo an OG Avenger? Yes, obviously, he played Bruce/Hulk in the first Avengers movie and each following movie. But he wasn't the one who had the first Hulk movie in the MCU, that was Edward Norton. So, technically, does Ed Norton steal that "OG" from Ruffalo? It's the same debate which can be had with Don Cheadle, as he was also a recast. Do them being recasts put an "*" next to their "OG" status?

The Vanora head i ordered shipped today!! I wasn't expecting her to ship until near the end of next month based on the time frames people were listing in the Dream Valley waiting room!
Since it's just a head, the order didn't qualify for free express shipping, so I chose air mail, which can take a while, so she might not get here until the end of next month anyway. But still!! She'll be here soonish!
Which is probably a good thing given the recent recasting shit with the star line for Impldoll :( i hope they won't discontinue the line, and that they'll still go ahead with the new muscle body, but if she's here sooner, then i can get a better idea of if the head will work and look into ordering a body. The star bodies are so pretty, and even the basic and model ones are toned, so even if they don't post more about the muscle girl soon (impldoll please! you said it'd be coming soon in January! T_T i need info!!) one of them would work nicely for her I think. Probably the basic one because she's shorter and has a more natural shoulder line.
Then I can worry about figuring out a doll for Faolan too. I'm still debating between a soom head and one from switch. And asking Resinsoul if they can make a custom Cen body that's a smidgen taller, so he can be taller than Vanora (listen, he's two inches taller than her and he fought for those two inches xD He deserves to have that height difference saved in doll form too, ok)
I guess i need to really work more on that faceup mockup in csp now though!

So I got about halfway through Mando Season 2 at work today.
Things that amuse me to absolutely no end.
Mando CONSTANTLY foisting the kid off on people. He's like, I'm gonna throw myself down this krayt dragon's throat and am probably going to get eaten, but I'm going to trust the kid to this hot guy I met five minutes ago. Two episodes later, he leaves the kid with the Frog Lady. Also how much I adore her? And in that she calls him out on ALL OF HIS BULLSHIT. Including his nebulous interpretation of keeping his word.
2. Which brings me to my second point. I LOVE how Mando is a mean son of a bitch at times. He's a rule lawyering asshole who deceives multiple people by skating by the barest edge of his word. Does it to the dude in the first episode. Does it in the dude in episode 3 with the jetpack.
AND THEN HE HAS THE BALLS TO BE UPSET WHEN BO-KATAN DOES THE EXACT SAME THING TO HIM.
3. Man I hate what a waste Cara Dune was because she had potential. Sadly even recasting her would not wipe out the stench of controversy surrounding the character but can we PLEASE have another hot buff Amazonian woman to benchpress me I mean kick a lot of ass? Sadly, I think Disney has been scared off for life and I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. What's Michelle Rodriguez doing these days? Just sayin'
4. I actually really like Bo-Katan, I know she's controversial and I GET why people detest the shit out of her but that's kinda...the point? You're not SUPPOSED to like her OR root for her. Not every character has to be likable and charismatic. Sometimes people are assholes and cunts and that's perfectly alright.
That being said, man, the second part of the season is definitely kinda all over the place, and I still detest the oh shit, we have to wrap up shit RIGHT NOW with two episodes later because we having too much fun with filler episodes, and now we need to fit half a season in two episodes trend that has plagued a lot of Disney SW shows, especially of late.
I'm debating if I'm going to stop after this. I really do want to watch Visions but that requires me...actually watching rather than letting it play in the background in my ear buds while I occasionally look over at the screen. So maybe I'll keep going even though S3 is not my favorite for a multitude of reasons. It's got some fun parts and I don't think I've fully watched i through since it aired. I remember throwing my hands up in disgust and eyerolling so hard I nearly broke myself over the jetpack jousting/fighting in the last episode.
