Creating New Family Traditions After Loss
When you go from a family of four to a family of three, everything shifts. The world tilts on its axis, and life suddenly feels unfamiliar. In our case, moving from a family life that revolved around illness and addiction to one where there’s “free time” is something we’ve had to navigate carefully. The transition can feel overwhelming, particularly when you’re also dealing with the loss of a…

My name is Eman, and I am a mother of three young children. Until recently, we had a home, a life, and a sense of stability in Gaza. I ran a small office, worked hard to provide for my family, and like any mother, I dreamed of a better future for my children.
But everything changed in an instant. The war in Gaza destroyed our home, my office, and my livelihood. In a matter of moments, our lives were turned upside down, and we were forced to flee, leaving behind the only life we knew.
Now, my children and I are refugees in a new city, trying to find a way to rebuild from nothing. We have lost not just our home and possessions but also our sense of security and hope. My children ask me daily when we can go home, but I have no answer for them. The war has taken everything from us.
I am reaching out for help because I believe in the kindness and generosity of people. With your support, we can start to rebuild our lives. Donations will go towards finding a safe place for my children, securing basic necessities, and eventually, rebuilding a new future for us all.
Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in our lives. Please help us rebuild after this unimaginable loss. Together, we can restore hope for my children and give them the chance to heal and thrive.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
Sincerely,
Eman

Help Jamal Shamia family
Jamal Shamia, Iam a criminal lawyer, lam suffering of many diseases hypertension and diabetic mellitus and Muscle spasms and always got shocked and coma .
Unfortunately, I was injured in the war and suffered a very serious injury, which was a blood clot in the hip joint area, which caused him many infections and the infection spread in the area. is currently in Gaza, and my home was destroyed at the beginning of the war. We have lost security and peace. We have witnessed how a single rocket can destroy your entire life, both your past and your future. Our dreams have been shattered. Now the future is unknown and dark. There is no home, no basic life essentials, no job. We are now seeking to leave this country for a life abroad and to obtain security. We estimate our loss to be at least $50,000 to rebuild a home and start our lives anew.
My wife, Mufida, is 62 years old. She traveled before the war to have surgery on her eye alone, and now she is stuck on the Egyptian side. She has no breadwinner and needs many medications and medical supplies.
After that, she suffered a broken hand due to the lack of necessary care for her. I want to collect money to go to her and support her.
Rasha Jamal Shamia and her husband, Khalil Abu Samaan, have two children, Mira and Omar. They have been forced to flee their home in Gaza City and are now living in a tent in Rafah, far from everything they once knew. Their home, their children’s education, and their future—everything is gone. Their days are filled with fear, and their nights bring no rest. The constant sound of bombs haunts them, and they have no way to provide their children with the life they deserve
Ahmad Jamal Shamia resides in Gaza and is a third-year student in dental school. He lost his education due to the devastating war in Gaza. He was studying at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, and his home was destroyed in the war. He is currently suffering from moving from one temporary shelter to another. Ahmad was a diligent, ambitious, and creative student who ranked first in his class. He didn't limit himself to what he learned in university. He attended courses and workshops online with Egyptian doctors to learn more and excel in his field. He always sought excellence and worked hard for it, and he loved helping all students. He now needs money to continue his education, which will cost him a lot of money since he will complete his studies in Egypt.

Hello, among the hundreds of tragic stories, I am sharing my painful story.
My name is Ahmed Khalil, I am 6 years old. I was at the beginning of my education, trying to learn, participate, and play with other children. My family consists of 8 members, including my mother and father. My father has diabetes, my brother Fathi is blind, my other brother Abdullah has autism, and my brother Mohammed was injured in his leg by shrapnel from rockets.
On October 7, 2023, the war began and has not stopped since. The airstrikes and Israeli shelling caused fear for me and my family. We could not endure the massive explosions that felt like recurring earthquakes and the red flames sweeping through the area. We were forced to flee to southern Gaza based on orders from the Israeli forces, leaving our beautiful apartments behind. We went to a UN refugee school in Deir al-Balah to escape the terror and death.
We stumbled into a different life full of suffering from every side, living through the most painful hell of war. I developed malnutrition due to contaminated water, poor hygiene, and the spread of infectious diseases with no suitable medicine available.
The situation is catastrophic and unbearable. “There is only death left in Gaza. Even death has become a privilege because it provides a sense of relief.” My older brother Mohammed and I begged our father to leave Gaza, but it was extremely difficult due to the high costs. My father lost all his property during the war, including his electronics repair center and apartment, which were completely destroyed, so he has nothing to help us travel out of Gaza. There is no safe place in the Gaza Strip.
I pray every moment for the end of this war and a ceasefire. The ceasefire is not just a call; it is a desperate cry to end the helplessness and despair spreading to every corner after more than 11 months of war. We flee from death every day, only to wake up the next morning to try to escape it again. My heart is heavy, unable to bear the recurring nightmares, and the overwhelming flood of news about blood, displacement, loss, and despair pouring from Gaza.
Every minute feels like a struggle. No one should have to endure this injustice, segregation, and discrimination. The ongoing shelling in southern Gaza and the intense bombardment of residential buildings in Deir al-Balah make everyone feel unsafe, believing they might be the next to face tragedy. Communications are cut off. We are exhausted and cannot bear more tragedies and losses. We are currently living in a classroom of the UN center, which is crowded with people, including my relatives and cousins. My poor father sees our pale faces and weak bodies and stands helpless due to the lack of money and resources.
I am still six years old, and I never thought I would witness such a brutal attack with complete disregard for human values. I am deprived of my basic rights, including health and education. I need to rebuild my life with my family abroad and receive better healthcare. Traveling to Egypt would cost at least $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child, which is an enormous amount given the harsh living conditions and the blockade that has lasted for 17 years.
Therefore, I ask you to donate so that we can evacuate Gaza to safety. Please continue supporting our campaign by donating if you can and sharing it with your friends and family. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us get closer to our next goal and brings us nearer to securing a safer future for my family.

Help Hazem and his pregnant wife secure a better future 🇵🇸🍉
Dear Humanity,
My name is Hazem, I am 27 years old, and I live in the Gaza Strip with my wife, Nadra, who is 26 and in the early months of pregnancy. We led a simple life; I worked in trade and owned a modest store, while my wife was a daily-wage teacher. But everything changed drastically with the recent war, leaving us no choice but to flee multiple times in search of safety.
We have become used to facing wars, but this time, it’s entirely different. We are experiencing an unrelenting genocide, forcing us into constant displacement from one area to another within Gaza. Today, we find ourselves living in a tent on the streets amid worsening conditions every day.
The pain of loss doesn’t end there; I recently lost my father, and now I live with my beloved mother, whom I care for. My home, for which I hadn’t even completed the payments, was entirely destroyed, along with our family home where I grew up and created my fondest memories. Even my store, built through hard work to provide a dignified life for my family, didn’t survive.
My wife and I have thought a lot about the future of our upcoming child and how life would be for them in these harsh circumstances. The motivation behind launching this GoFundMe campaign is that I am about to become a father, and my wife needs special care during her pregnancy. We hope to provide them with better conditions.
Purpose of the Campaign
The purpose of this GoFundMe campaign is to seek financial assistance for us, as we face unimaginable challenges in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing war and humanitarian crisis. As we prepare for the arrival of our first child, we urgently need support to:
1. Ensure Safe Conditions for Pregnancy: Nadra requires special care during her pregnancy, and the current living conditions are not suitable for her or the baby.
2. Rebuild Our Lives: After losing our home and livelihood, we need funds to start over and create a stable environment for our family.
3. Provide Basic Necessities: The donations will help secure food, shelter, and medical care, which are essential for both Nadra and our unborn child.
I write to you today seeking your kind support. We are in desperate need of assistance to rebuild our shattered lives and secure a future for our coming child, who deserves to be born into conditions far better than the ones we currently endure. Every donation, no matter how small, will have a tremendous impact on helping us overcome this crisis.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you provide, and we ask that you and your loved ones remain safe.

My name is Ibrahim Siam, a first-year university student majoring in programming from Gaza🇵🇸♥, Palestine🇵🇸❤️🩹.
My family and I have faced unimaginable challenges due to the ongoing conflict in our homeland.
The situation has left us in a state of extreme hardship, and I am reaching out for help from the world.
For months 🌹♥now, we have been living in a small, cramped plastic tent after being displaced multiple times. We have no access to clean water, food, or proper medical care, and the conditions are unbearable. My mother, Sabah Siam, who is already suffering from various illnesses, is growing weaker by the day. Without proper healthcare and support, her condition is deteriorating.
We also lost my sister, who was martyred along with her husband while she was pregnant. Her loss has had an indescribable impact on our family, and I am deeply affected by her killing, which is part of the pain we carry every day.
My father, Samir Siam❤🌹, and I have become without a source of income, and we cannot even afford to buy a morsel of food. I used to work at a petrol station to support my family, but the current circumstances have made it impossible to continue. Despite everything, I am determined to complete my studies and pursue a career in programming, but my family’s urgent needs have become a heavy burden.
My family’s priority now is my mother's health♥🌹🙏🏻.We urgently need assistance to provide her with proper medical treatment, along with basic necessities like food, water, and shelter. My dream is not only to secure my future through education but also to ensure my family can survive these difficult times.

Hello, my name is Mohammed Nihad Ghazal from North Gaza. I have ambitions, dreams and a love for life like any young man in the world. I am supporting my family of 15 after my father was martyred in the cursed war that destroyed everything, but it seems that I will not be able to achieve my dream because of the brutal war on the Gaza Strip, which completely destroyed our home, and despite the harsh war, we did not leave North Gaza under inhumane conditions. We have suffered from illness, cold, hunger and drinking polluted water for more than 11 months, which we have suffered greatly from the loss of friends and relatives who were killed in the war for 330 days. I am appealing to you, the global community, for help. I have started a GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $20,000 to enable me and my family to find safety in Egypt. Evacuation fees change from time to time; we currently expect a cost of between $4,000 and $5,000 per person. Any additional funds generated will go to support my immediate needs and those of my family. There are many obstacles that we will face on the other side, and I hope that we can make things a little easier for us. I would like to share with you the situation now that the war has intensified. We are fine and safe, but life has become very difficult now around us, and people are suffering more and losing their loved ones every day. As a family, we have literally lost everything we own, our homes, ourhttps://gofund.me/f3e7e3c2 Hey there! Thank you for being so compassionate during this challenging time!
businesses, and we lost the dearest thing to us, my father, but we are trying to stay optimistic by thinking about evacuating and we heard good news today that the borders may open soon. We pray that this is true. Once we are evacuated, we will try hard to rebuild a small part of what we lost in Gaza. If we can achieve our ultimate goal, we will have the money to start a business to support our entire family. We want to be able to start over and not suffer anymore in Egypt. If everyone can help us with a small donation to achieve our ultimate goal, we will be able to rebuild our lives after everything was destroyed. All the positive words cannot express how generous you are in sharing my posts to inform other donors about the people of Gaza who are still suffering from the terrible conditions caused by the unjust war on Gaza. Please continue to support the just cause in the world either by donating directly or by sharing the link to other media. Do not hesitate to help people in difficult and miserable times until the dark days are over.

growing old with kento nanami
word count: 2.8k
warnings: post-shibuya arc, descriptions of: surgery, recovery processes, depression, insomnia, trauma, therapy, coping mechanisms; pregnancy, marriage, crying. (18+ mdni!)
notes: this WILL have a part 2 and maybe 3! it will be very long so i'm splitting it up. even though the warnings seem kind of sad i promise it's a happy story :)
part 2 | masterlist
“marry me.”
proposing to you was nanami’s first conscious thought after being in a coma for 5 days after shibuya. you were reading a book, peacefully keeping him company in his hospital room, not even noticing he was awake. your eyes fluttered up from your book, back down, and then up again.
“marry me, please,” he repeated. you stayed silent for a moment, eyes widening and mouth dropping. he wasn’t supposed to wake up.
“kento, oh my god,” you yelped, dropping your book and rushing to the hospital bed to look at him. his eyes were open, only slightly, and the weakest smile he could bear rested on his lips. you gently settled your hands on each side of his face, barely hovering over the charred skin. he looked so tired, and yet, he was asking you to marry him.
kento groaned when you hugged him, but you couldn’t stop yourself, you squeezed him gently and with care. a weak hand rested on your back, in between your shoulder blades. he was too weak to repeat his question again. but the only thing on his mind was if you would be his wife.
“yes, yes, i’ll marry you,” you cried into his chest, wetting the fabric of the hospital clothing.
neither you nor nanami himself understood why he proposed to you in that moment. after waking up, his journey to recovery began with slow but steady progress. it took several months of intense rehabilitation and support from both sorcerers and doctors for him to regain his mobility. with their help, he was able to walk and move with a surprising degree of agility, nearly returning to how he was before shibuya. he also had a few cosmetic surgeries, in an attempt to minimize the scarring from all he had been through. within a few months, he was able to see his skin smooth out and hair grow from the side of his head. he wouldn’t look the same, ever; but you didn’t care. you loved kento, as he did you, the fact you were able to celebrate his recovery made you feel like the luckiest woman on the earth.
the loss of his previous strength and abilities weighed heavily on him, casting a shadow over his spirits. yet, amidst the struggles, he found solace in small victories and the support of those around him, your support meaning the most to him. although kento was deeply troubled by the realization that he could no longer pursue his life as a sorcerer, he came to accept it as the best possible outcome given the circumstances. this acceptance marked a pivotal shift in his perspective, allowing him to focus on rebuilding his life in new ways. before he turned in his resignation, he had made sure to recommend ino for a promotion. it was his last wish as a sorcerer.
after the almost year-long recovery process, kento surprised you with a beautiful ring, one of the ones you had talked about before he went on his trip. he proposed again, in the place you first met, this time without weak hands and barely audible words. he was able to find a job, one not nearly as draining as his job from before he returned to jujutsu – and began making plans for your wedding. the planning process didn’t take long, he wanted the wedding to make you happy.
your and kento’s wedding was outright beautiful. it was a stunning venue on a beach, hundreds of guests attended, friends and family alike. kento shed a few tears when he saw you walking down the aisle, clad in the most gorgeous attire he’d ever seen you wear, as his bride. his voice shook as he said his vows – vows that he wrote, almost a good 1,000 words – and he made you a million promises. promises he wouldn’t dare to break, promises to grow old together and live the life you both deserve.
at the reception, you told kento you had a surprise for him, and ran off to go get something from one of your bridesmaids. he was confused at first, because he didn’t need any more surprises, he was the happiest he’d ever been. a newlywed, married to you. but when you came back to the table, two small pieces of paper in your hands, he didn’t think it would be possible to be more joyous.
“we’re going to malaysia, for our honeymoon, kento,” you excitedly told him, showing off the two plane tickets scheduled in a week.
nanami was speechless, a huge smile with teeth plastered across his face, and he gave you the tightest hug he’d ever given anyone.
when the two of you traveled to malaysia, kento was at peace. he had never seen a place so charming and breathtaking, he remained entranced by the culture and landscapes. the two of you spent your time hiking in nature, watching waterfalls and having lovely picnics wherever felt right. kento was so ecstatic, a smile constant on his face as he watched his surroundings with never-ending wonder. he thanked you a million times over.
you had never seen him be so alive. he promised you that one day, he was going to build a house, right on the beach, just for the two of you.
once you were back at your shared apartment, the reality of the past year and a half hit kento like a train. so much time had been spent recovering, constantly in and out of the hospital, planning for your wedding and improving both of your lives, he never had a chance to reflect on the genuine trauma he went through.
you didn’t notice for a while, but kento grew depressed, and restless at the same time. he began to spend his nights awake, insomnia brewing like piping hot tea, staying conscious until the early hours of the morning, doing any exercise or meditation to calm himself down and go to sleep. yet the visuals replayed over, and over, and over. the blood, the curses, the flames, the death. it hadn’t bothered him before, he thought, but he just never gave himself the time to soak it all in. and the depression – the depression was an all-new low for him. when kento wasn’t working, he was at his house, in the bed, while you were working or off running errands. you only noticed his new behavior when you woke up in an empty bed at 4 a.m. one night, 3 months after your honeymoon.
“mm…kento?” you called, footsteps heavily plopping down the hallway towards the bright lights of your kitchen. when you entered the room, you saw kento sprawled out on the floor, knees bent, with sweat rolling down his forehead. stepping over towards him, you kneeled down to look at him, and his head rolled to the side to look at you, too.
kento’s eyes looked so tired, the eyebags you hadn’t seen in years were full-fledged, his eyelids were droopy and exhausted. just by the emotion his eyes conveyed, you could see he was silently suffering, and he had been that way for a while.
“kento, what’s wrong?” you asked, bringing a hand to the side of his face to rub a thumb over his sweat-glistened cheek.
“i don’t…know,” he replied, defeat in his voice, “i can’t sleep. i haven’t slept. i don’t know.”
your husband always had a plan. he always knew everything; he always took care of the unknown and intimidating parts of life. for kento nanami to say “i don’t know” meant something was wrong, seriously wrong.
“sit up,” you softly demanded, gently pulling his shoulders off the floor. you sat on the ground, crossing your legs, and kento mirrored your actions, slumping when he finally sat up. “kento, honey,” you began, taking his hand in yours and resting it on his knee, “what’s going on?”
he was never one to talk about feelings, to talk about emotions felt deep down, because he wasn’t sure how to convey anything that would make him vulnerable. but as he sat in front of you, chest slightly heaving, such a burnt-out expression on his face, you knew there was something he wasn’t saying, but that something needed to be said.
“i can’t…” kento muttered, stopping himself for a second, “i can’t stop thinking.” he finally admitted, causing you to furrow your eyebrows with concern.
“about what, honey?” you sweetly asked, thumb caressing the back of his hand, tenderly rubbing back and forth.
“everything.” he stated, eyes flashing away from you to look at the floor next to him. you knew what he meant, though, but you had never seen him so pained from his work, especially from something that happened so long ago.
“tell me, baby,” you soothed him. you grabbed his other hand, causing him to look back at you pitifully. kento stayed silent for numerous moments, unsure as to what you could handle. but you were his wife, someone he was supposed to be able to confide in.
“so many people…died…” he mumbled, “i almost died. i saw what it looked like, i faced death.” his words began to come out quicker, “i’ve never seen that many people die, not even in shinjuku, and there was so much blood, and gojo almost, he almost-,” kento’s voice began to get shaky and uneven, a crack in his words as tears stung his eyes. “gojo almost died, too, and…i almost died, i saw it,” he repeated, “and yuuji – looked so upset, and takuma got hurt,” he clenched his eyes shut, words still coming out as a single string.
you moved closer, shifting onto your knees and wrapping kento in a comforting embrace. he clung to you immediately, his hands gripping the fabric of your shirt as if trying to anchor himself in reality. his body shook with the intensity of his sobs, each breath coming in ragged gasps. the rawness of his anguish was palpable; his cries were filled with a pain that seemed almost too immense to bear. the image of the carnage replayed in his mind, a relentless cycle that he couldn’t escape. kento’s tears soaked through your shirt, repeating with his incoherent murmurs of horror. his face, once so composed, now twisted in an expression of deep, unrelenting despair.
kento wailed into your chest for hours that night, unable to stop his shuttering and repetition of the same phrases. he only calmed down when the sun began to rise, slowly illuminating the insides of your home. once kento parted his head from your chest, he looked you in the eyes, asking for help without saying a word. you wiped away his tears and grabbed the sides of his face, promising him you will get him anything he needs. kento fell asleep around 7 a.m. that morning, with the help of you running your fingers through his hair, shushing him and telling him it will all be okay.
he believed you. kento nanami put all his faith in you, his wife, to help him fix his problem he hadn’t an idea on how to mend. and so, you did everything in your power to help him. you spent countless hours on research, finding therapists that specialized in helping people like him, and you came across different mechanisms to help him cope. most of all, you continued your duties as a supportive wife, constantly telling him to get up and go to the supermarket, or out to the library. little by little, these smaller things combined together to work out, and kento began to get better. it was a breath of fresh air, as well as a weight lifted off both your and his shoulders, when he began to smile again, and shifted his view of life to a more positive outlook. he was alive, he began to feel alive again.
kento nanami was finally beginning to live the life he desired and deserved, all with you by his side.
a couple of weeks after kento’s 30th birthday, you came rushing into his office, tears of joy — and anxiety — pricked in your eyes. soon as his eyes landed on your seemingly upset expression, he was concerned.
“what’s wrong, dear?” he asked, pushing his chair away from the desk to stand up. you quickly closed the door behind you, leaning against it, and you dug around in your purse to pull out a small plastic baggie. when you tossed them to kento, it only took him a few seconds to realize what you were there to tell him.
“…you’re pregnant?” kento beamed, rushing over to you to wrap his arms around your waist. he quickly lifted you up in the air, grip so tight as if he never wanted to let go, your feet kicked happily.
kento always wanted to have kids, but being a sorcerer, he always thought it was too dangerous. you had some conversations about it after shibuya, and the both of you agreed that if it happened, it happened. and your children would have the best life possible, of course; but the glimmer of hope you had for having kids slowly burnt out over time with both of you increasing in age. in that moment, though, kento had so much hope and pure happiness, just at the thought of growing a little family with you.
the first few months of your pregnancy were hectic. between doctor’s appointments, mixed with morning sickness and fatigue, you thought it would never end. although you were happy to start a family, negative emotions easily overcame you, and kento noticed. he tried his best to be there for you, but his work schedule conflicted with your lives, and he soon realized he needed a change in his life. he needed to change your life and his, because he would be damned if he was going to return to the same boring life as he had before.
using his savings and bonus money from his job, he bought you a house. a real house, with acres of land and space for your family to grow, so much bigger than the previous apartment you shared with him. a house that he owned, a house that would contain all the joy for your future. he made sure it was grand, with a huge kitchen, and multiple bedrooms – not caring if only two of them were filled, or if all of them housed someone. before kento showed you the house, he set up a nursery.
“where are we going?” you inquired for about the 50th time that day. you had been in the car for hours, and all kento would say in return is, “you’ll find out.” nonetheless, you were excited, kento had always given you the best surprises, but you had never driven so far with him.
“we’re here.” kento stated, pulling into an empty concrete driveway big enough to fit 6 cars.
“where are we? did satoru move?” you asked, the huge display of a home proving to be a bit intimidating for you. kento didn’t reply this time, he only scurried out of the car to come and open your door, helping you get out with a kind hand.
you didn’t even understand what was going on until you walked up the front steps, and a few keys jingled in kento’s hands until he found the right one to unlock the door. the door to your new home.
“wait...wait. kento,” you said, standing still as your husband strode inside, “what is this?” the familiar tears of joy rushed to your eyes, and you just stood there with a shocked expression plastered on your face.
“this is our new home, honey,” kento chimed, reaching a hand out again to welcome you inside. you took his hand, albeit a little hesitantly, and stepped inside your house.
“oh, kento,” you blubbered, throwing your arms around his neck, tears beginning to trickle down your face.
you and kento explored the house for hours, marveling at all the space and beauty he bought for you. you thanked him a million times over, crying at each new space you discovered in the house, you felt sheer gratefulness for your husband and all he did for you. and kento, well, he did all of it to thank you, to thank you for never losing hope in him, and to thank you for the joy you’d made him experience. he was so undeniably in love with you, just as he had always been, and he promised himself he was going to do everything in his power to live the life he deserved with you. he was going to live up to every word he made in his vows, every promise he made with you, each and every word he had spoken to you was going to show in your lives.
even from the moment he met you, he knew he was going to spend his life with you.

Beacon of Hope
Summary ✩ After the war, Jacaerys finally finds his purpose for living again
Warnings ✩ Slight spoilers for Fire and Blood
Notes ✩ Hosue of the Dragon has been so depressing lately and I needed a little something to lift my spirits. I hope you guys enjoy!
Some days he just couldn’t sleep.
It had nothing to do with his bed, as he had slept in multiple uncomfortable places during the war. But it was more so that Jacaerys was still in disbelief that this was his life now.
A year ago, the realm was at war and he was on the brink of death. After getting shot at during the Battle of the Gullet, Jacaerys suffered a major injuries that many didn’t believe he would survive. He spent his days floating in and out of consciousness, one foot in the grave until miraculously, the fever broke, Jacaerys rose again.
When he did, he learned that he was no longer a Prince. The war had ended with the death of his mother and the poisoning of the usurper, Aegon. And when he opened his eyes, he was a King.
Broken by the losses he took at war, yes. But slowly over the years, life turned.
Along with the many allies that still fought for him and his mother, Jace begin to rebuild the kingdom until it was whole again. What was once destroyed by dragon fire and blood was rebuilt, and in a few years time, King Jacaerys was able to restore what his family had destroyed.
It made the nights easier, knowing that the threat of war was gone and the realm was finally at peace, but even though his two remaining brothers were alive and the realm had settled, Jace still felt as if something was missing.
The holes that the death of his mother, his brothers, and his stepfather left never seemed to go away. And their death haunted him. For a while, the King believed that even though the realm was whole again, he never would be. The war had taken so many things—precious things—from him, that he no longer thought that hope and love was possible.
Then he met you.
When you came into his life, Jacaerys’ world had been upside down. He was alone with only his infant brothers to share his pain with, and he constantly felt like he was submerged in darkness.
But you…you were his light.
Not like dragon fire, which destroyed everything in its path, but rather the kind of light that inspired hope and growth.
With you, he learned what it meant to love again. What it meant to trust, and to have someone by his side that loved him unconditionally.
You were his greatest hope, and though many credited the maesters for keeping his broken body together, it was you that made his soul whole again. You were his missing piece, his beacon of hope, and he would never have it any other way.
So sometimes, when he couldn’t sleep, and the memories that he tried so hard to repress during the day came hunting for him at night, Jacaerys would stop and he would look upon your sleeping face and realize that everything was okay again.
Though the losses he took would never fully heal, he felt the pain ease knowing that he had you, little Aegon, little Viserys and little Luke to keep him striving towards the future.
Along with the babe that was currently in your belly, your growing family gave Jacaerys purpose. For the first time since waking up, the darkness that shrouded him faded, and it was instead replaced by hope.
Hope a better life. Hope for a better future.
A future he swore that no one would ever take from him again.

One day, we were growing and maturing, dreaming and aspiring. We lived moments of joy and endured pain. We chased our desires and ventured into the fields of work. But now… our dreams have stopped, our aspirations have faded. Our world, once vast and open, has shrunk to a small, narrow space. From boundless skies to an unknown realm… This is what happened to my family after the devastating war uprooted their dreams, buried their ambitions, and obliterated their memories.
Today, my family endures the harsh experience of displacement, living in a tent for months on end. My younger sister describes the struggles of life in the tent: how it burns like an oven under the sun, suffocating and airless, with no means of cooling. The tent feels like a greenhouse during the day, leaving its residents to suffer from the extreme heat of summer without protection, and offering no shelter from the bitter cold of winter.
She mentions that our family’s tent is set up on a small plot of farmland, forcing us to live amid reptiles, rodents, insects, and venomous snakes, with no basic standards of cleanliness. She adds that life in the tent is especially harsh for women. It’s a place where even in the sweltering heat, they must stay fully dressed in outdoor clothes, with no freedom of movement. Everything happens inside the tent: lighting fires, cooking food, washing dishes, storing large containers of drinking water, and keeping water for bathing and daily cleaning. In essence, the tent means the loss of privacy—speaking in whispers inside your tent, only to hear a response from your neighbor in the next one.
She goes on to say, “Every time I moved with my family, I lost a thread of the privacy I hold dear as a woman. Displacement and homelessness became defining features of my life.”
I am Mahmoud Saleh, a young man appealing to you to look upon my torn and displaced family with mercy. Please grant them the chance to rebuild their lives in peace. I stand before your compassionate hearts, full of hope that you can help what remains of my family to secure a better life and to live in safety and security.

My name is Noura, and I’m reaching out to you during the most challenging time of my life. My family and I have lost everything due to the devastating war on the Gaza Strip. Our home, which once sheltered my , siblings, and loved ones, now exists only in our memories. We’ve been forced to leave everything behind, displaced from the north of Gaza to the south, .
Before the war, I had a stable job, a future I could envision for my family, and dreams of building a better life. Now, all of that has been taken from us. But despite the loss, I hold on to hope. I am determined to rebuild my life and the lives of my family members.
We are not just asking for charity. We are asking for a chance to restore hope, to create a new beginning. The goal is to collect donations to help us rebuild our home and establish a small business, which will provide not only for my family but also contribute to our community. We want to work, to stand on our own feet, and to restore the dignity that comes with self-reliance.
Your support will help us create that future, turning our suffering into a source of strength. No donation is too small, as every contribution brings us closer to reclaiming our lives , and restoring hope.
Thank you for standing with us in this time of need.

asteroid medusa and how she shows up ❤️🔥
my ideas + observations on what asteroid medusa thru the houses might look like in daily life <3
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 1st House ⊹₊⟡⋆: “I see the way they look at me”, sharp eyes that notice everything, you walk into a room and silence follows—people sense your power before they even know you. That intimidating aura, furrowed brows, a face that’s hard to read, posture as armor. Betrayal that feels personal, as if your very existence triggers jealousy or envy. Steely confidence built from surviving others’ judgments, scars from emotional battles worn like invisible medals. “They’ll regret underestimating me”, cutting people off at first sight, redefining yourself after every betrayal, always bouncing back harder than before. Eyes that see into souls, surviving by knowing when to strike back, dressing sharply to keep people at a distance, an air of mystery around you that some find magnetic, others find terrifying.
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 2nd House ⊹₊⟡⋆: "You tried to take what’s mine", betrayal around money or values, hoarding what you treasure, defending your resources like a fortress. You learned early to guard what you earn (whether it’s wealth, time, or love. ) A steely determination to never be taken advantage of again, “you’ll never take this from me”. Wearing your status as armor, showing off what you’ve built after surviving betrayal. Holding grudges around finances, slow-burning anger when someone crosses your boundaries. Material wealth as a sign of survival, knowing the worth of everything especially yourself. Keeping your distance from people who take more than they give, collecting emotional debts like receipts. "I don’t forget", fierce loyalty to what’s yours, deep fear of loss hidden behind stoic confidence.
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 3rd House ⊹₊⟡⋆: Betrayed by words, “they twisted what I said... i never fucking said that”, sharp-tongued but rarely speak first, storing every slight for future use. Mental agility as protection, noticing the subtext in every conversation. You learned to be careful with who you trust, especially with secrets. Betrayed by a sibling, a friend, or someone close who used your own words against you. “I’ll never be caught off guard again”, cutting remarks that leave scars, fierce debater who always knows how to strike at someone’s weak spot. Learning how to stay silent when needed, but always ready to defend yourself verbally. Intelligence weaponized, you outsmarting those who try to manipulate you. Cold, calculating responses, watching what you say to avoid being misinterpreted. Reading between the lines, staying ahead of the conversation.
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 4th House ⊹₊⟡⋆: Betrayal at home, wounds buried deep, “family isn’t always what it seems”, protecting yourself from those closest to you. Learning not to trust the place that’s supposed to be safe, building emotional walls as high as the roof over your head. Hiding pain within the home, survival instinct triggered by early betrayals like maybe a family member, maybe an ancestor’s wound passed down to you. “I’ll make my own home, my own rules”, fiercely defending your personal space, cutting off toxic relatives without hesitation. A fortress within yourself, finding safety in solitude. Emotional betrayals cut the deepest, but you know how to rebuild. A sense of privacy that no one can penetrate, home as a place of survival, keeping everyone out until you’re sure you can trust them. Old family wounds kept like secrets in the walls.
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 5th House ⊹₊⟡⋆: "They took what was mine", betrayal in love or creativity, stolen ideas or stolen hearts. A deep need for recognition, but wary of those who seek to take your light. Protecting your passions like they’re your children, "no one will steal my joy again", guarding your romantic life fiercely. Love that feels dangerous, feeling betrayed when someone doesn’t value your art, your heart, or your playfulness. Creative expression used as a shield, channeling betrayal into artistic power. Romance as a battlefield, taking your power back through pleasure. “You’ll never dim my light again”, learning to be unapologetically yourself after someone tried to steal your shine, playing hard but with high walls. Fiercely protective of your love life, wary of those who come too close.
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 6th House ⊹₊⟡⋆: Betrayed at work, “they took credit for my hard work”, survival through daily routines and the grind. You learned that even the small betrayals can hurt especially like being used, being taken advantage of in a work or health related setting. Protecting your energy in the everyday, fighting for recognition, doing the work no one wants but expecting respect in return. "I won’t be ignored", quiet strength in routines, surviving through discipline. Learning to set boundaries in your daily life after betrayal taught you that not everyone will value your efforts. The need to be perfect, to prove yourself, because someone once undervalued your contribution. Work as therapy, focusing on the grind to avoid emotional pain, using self-care as a weapon to protect your health and energy.
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 7th House ⊹₊⟡⋆: Betrayal in relationships, "I trusted you, and you turned on me", harsh lessons in partnership. You learned to guard your heart after someone broke it, or maybe after you saw betrayal in someone else’s relationship. “I won’t be betrayed again”, walls up high with love, wary of giving too much in partnerships. The eyes that see through false promises, knowing when someone isn’t genuine. Fiercely loyal but only to those who prove themselves. Relationships are battlegrounds and love is power. Protecting your heart at all costs, boundaries like stone walls around your affection. “Show me your loyalty before you get my trust”, cutting ties with ease when someone disrespects your boundaries. Fierce lover, but a protector of your own vulnerability.
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 8th House ⊹₊⟡⋆: "You won’t control me", betrayal in intimacy or through shared resources, learning how to defend yourself from those who try to take too much. Deep betrayal in matters of trust, perhaps through sex, shared finances, or emotional bonds. “You’ll regret taking advantage of me”, using secrets as shields, emotional power struggles that burn deep. Sexual energy as both power and vulnerability, betrayal that cuts through to your core. Reclaiming your power after betrayal, knowing when to hold back and when to strike. Hidden wounds but fierce defenses, transforming pain into power. Keeping your enemies close but always a step ahead, watching, waiting, striking when they least expect it. Deep, dark emotional landscapes that few can understand.
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 9th House ⊹₊⟡⋆: Betrayal in beliefs or higher learning, "they took my truth and twisted it", learning that trust in knowledge is fragile. Fighting for your beliefs after someone tried to undermine them, fierce independence in your philosophy of life. "I’ll find my own truth", betrayed by a mentor or guide, discovering that wisdom isn’t always kind. Traveling far and wide to find your place, but always wary of trusting someone else's truth, fighting for the beliefs that make you whole, protecting your mind from false doctrines, learning that knowledge can be power but also pain. Searching for justice, fighting for the underdog, knowing that betrayal can be the greatest teacher.
⟡⋆ Medusa in the 10th House ⊹₊⟡⋆: Betrayed in your public life, "they tried to ruin my reputation", wounds from authority figures or public perception. Fighting to reclaim your name, building yourself back up after someone tried to tear you down. “I’ll prove them wrong”, fierce reputation, learning to guard your achievements like gold. Climbing the ladder after a fall, turning betrayal into motivation. A reputation for being impenetrable, unshakable even in the face of public criticism.
