Reposting of Stolen Art in the Digimon Community
Idk, I wanna draw attention to this. But I don't really know what to say. I've made multiple posts about individual issues before. I just feel like I have to use the platform I have to spread awareness.
Please, before liking and reblogging art, take a moment to check if the artwork has been stolen.
Me and others often try to link the original art in the comments as soon as we come across it.
If someone is a confirmed thief, mass reposting for notes, block them.
Stolen art gets hundreds of notes despite people pointing out it's stolen.
It just breaks my heart to see artists pour their love into artworks for this Fandom, only for it to be stolen and spread without credit.
About a year ago, I called out another user for stealing countless artworks. I went through their entire backlog and looked up every original artist.
I contacted them to tell them to at least give proper credit. They added all my researched sources to their posts, but...
They went back to repost uncredited art again, not much later.
[Left: @/ rastadog77 on twitter | right: @/danzilla on dA]
And this user is not the only one. And they have zero shame.
This user stole artwork the artist entered the Digimon Illustration Competition with. This artist, by the way, is an official artist of the One Piece TCG and more.
This thief had the gall to steal another Illustration Competition's Winning Artwork!
This is just insulting.

I did not know that some of you thought the arts I reblogged are mine even though I added proper credits and gave original links. Bro I am not an artist. It's just a harmless Toji fanpage and I always give credit to original artist and if I don't find source I mention it too.
I AM NOT AN ARTIST.
Just a Toji fan blog here. I search for Toji arts online (sometimes links are DM'd to me). Generally artists are okay with reposting arts with credits but if the artist contacts me to take it down. I do that. Besides as many DM with links only, I have no way of knowing which artist is not okay with reposting or not.
Once again, none of these are my art as I'm NOT an artist.
And please don't send anon or DM if the artist is not okay with reposting.

Boundaries of this page
Have patience with me. I'm learning how to set boundaries in my life and on socials, too.
(I could update this in the future with new info)
ABOUT THE AUTHOR (ME)
Be kind when interacting with me. Hold me gentle like hamburger. I'm an anxious dragonet.
I also do not like to interact much, especially in *fandoms*. I will often turn off the Comment Section. Nothing personal, it's for my mental health.
I could open Asks from time to time.
I also do disappear from time to time, sometimes for entire months or even more. I need long breaks from social to recharge.
***
CONTENT
The blog is growing a bit so I want to make it clear to everyone:
First of all, this blog is SELF-INDULGENT and I'm going to post whatever I want to share, usually depending on my current hyperfix.
I mostly post about franchises I love. Most of these live rent free in my heart since I was a kid. For this reason, you will probably find VERY SELF-INDULGENT / PERSONAL INTERPRETATION of them. I never liked *fandoms* as social spaces, I do not care much about the canon in my stories and such; most of my stuff will be very big AUs.
I could or could not post Original Stuff in the future, too.
***
RATING - sort of
I mainly post stuff for everyone...
Tumblr policy says you must be 13 years old to join (or 16+ in Europe), so I can assure you my stuff is generally for everyone, or 13+ at the very least.
...BUT! Sometimes I could post 16+ stuff, with proper tags and advertisements.
These posts will be properly tagged (16+ / 16+ humor / mature humor / alcohol / drugs / mature joke / sexual joke / implication of sex / violence / graphic violence (and so on). Most of 16+ themes or jokes will be there for humoristic purposes only, BUT for your own safety, I always suggest blocking tags that could lead to a trigger!
If the post themes are heavier, I will also advertise on advance! (to avoid people stumbling into it by accident; if you open a post with a *big* advertisement, it's your responsibility at that point).
I'm NOT going to post anything 18+/NSFW in this blog, so, do not worry about that!
***
SAFETY OF THE BLOG
IMPORTANT: Everyone needs to have their safe space, and YOU must have your safe space as it's important for ME to have my safe space!
I mostly mind my own business on Tumblr. Please do not try to contact me when Asks or Comments are closed, unless it's something very urgent (as: if you saw someone stealing my art and claiming they drew it, or if you want to show me a fanart :3).
Feel free to unfollow me or block me if you don't like my stuff for any reason, and go on with your life. This is an advice I would like to give to anyone on Tumblr/socials! Again, safe spaces are important for everyone.
***
WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN'T DO WITH MY STUFF
You can like and reblog! If the Comment Section is open for followers, you can leave a kind compliment! Reblogs with happy tags are always welcomed and deeply cherished.
Do NOT RE-POST inside Tumblr. I would discourage you from reposting OUTSIDE Tumblr, too. But if you do, provide credit to my page on Tumblr (I only have a Tumblr page rn). Please ask first.
DO NOT FEED MY ART & STUFF TO AI. I will bite your head off and then breath fire on your corpse :3
Do not COPY my personal designs/reinterpretations of canon characters, AND MOST OF ALL DO NOT COPY MY OCs. I'm very very jealous of them. Especially, I DO NOT WANT to find my exact design of characters used for NSFW or to make money.
You can always take inspiration from my art tho! Copying and taking inspiration are two different things. If something you draw or write is heavily inspired by something I posted here, just provide a link to my blog/post or tag me and I'll be happy!
Fanart of my AUs and such are welcomed! Please show them to me tagging me if you want, so I can see them and maybe reblog them too ^^
Ask me first for Comic Dubs & similar edits to my stuff! Thank you!
(adding more pages or editing at any time if needed)

I feel like more artists should talk about how they use references (if they want to) because there's been a really weird stigma around it lately. So:
I use Pinterest sometimes. Pinterest is pretty shit if you're looking for proper references that are credited and definitely approved as public domain by the artist, but there are lots of appropriate ways to take inspiration from works that don't meet this criteria.
Poses. My poses are so boring - so I look at photos of people online. Poses can't be copyrighted, although I bet someone's tried. Sometimes I'll download a photo and draw a stick figure over the body to really understand what's happening in the photo. I personally don't use that in my actual drawing but I'm pretty sure that's completely legal to do anyway.
Outfits. Again, I dress boring myself so I tend to draw boring outfits too. I'm thinking I'll probably make an outfit college from photos on Pinterest - so long as I don't publish it anywhere, it's perfectly fine for me to do so. Well, technically I probably could publish it, just like people publish mood boards and stuff, but I just personally wouldn't feel right about it.
Art styles. I definitely don't just use Pinterest for this because I like actually giving artists support and attention, but Pinterest is one of the places I go. I look at art and think, what do I like about this piece? What don't I like? What do I think of the composition, the lineart, the colouring techniques, the proportions, the stylization? Is there any aspect I might like to try incorporating into my own work? Learning from other artists is important. Our art styles are a blend of a bunch of diferent influences, so studying those influences and learning what you like and dislike is really good to do.
Colour palletes. This is definitely something people try to charge for but again, you can't copyright these. I've never used procreate but I've heard that you can even just drag an image into their program and they'll automatically make a pallete out of it. I never eyedrop, even though that is legal to do, but it's nice to easily find lots of examples on what colours look nice together and what colour combinations I personally like, very quickly.
Anatomy practice. I don't really do this anymore but in the past I've downloaded photos of people and used it to draw their line of movement, a basic stick figure of where their body proportions are, and then their body, all over the image. Then I practice doing it without the image. Technically this is probably legal to publish since you'd be adding to it after the body is drawn, but it's definitely best to learn how to draw bodies on your own. Starting from references is good though. This is especially important if you're trying to draw people of a certain ethnicity for the first time, fat people for the first time, people with certain disabilities for the first time, etc. I know from experience that when you first start looking for photos of diverse people on Pinterest, their algorithm might show you some pretty gross and degrading stuff, but if you ignore those and only interact with proper references, you'll fix your homepage pretty quickly.
And again, there are better websites. Actually, I'm trying to incorporate more websites myself but I kind of keep forgetting what they're all called and I forget to tag when I reblog posts about it 😭
But I just wanted to share that references are ok and idk maybe start a discussion about how other artists use them because I'm really curious.
Oh also if you go to advanced settings in Google images there is a setting for usage rights that you can customize. I don't know how accurate it is but we were taught to use it in a professional grade design course so I'm hoping it's good.
#art#references#pinterest#look to be honest I'm not an expert so I could be wrong about something#please tell me if I am#I really just wanted to start a discussion and maybe invite some more experienced artists to share too#long post

Adding on some extra info from discussions that have been going on in light of this, since at the time I went to reblog, it hadn't been put up yet.
It's been determined that these guys are trawling through the GW2 tags specifically, including the racial tags (like #sylvari and #gw2 asura, etc.) for their AI generation data. From the sounds of it, we're talking screencaps and their edits as well as art.
This is a great time to share around the tools we have to combat them again.
Glaze is a defensive tool that helps to protect your work, specifically, from being scraped.
Nightshade is an offensive tool that helps to poison the datasets of these AI generators. It works best when used collectively by multiple artists.
Both of these tools are being developed by the University of Chicago, which recommends using both if you can (but at least using Glaze if Nightshade's effects are too visible on your stuff for your liking). They're also working on integrating the two tools so we can use them together.
Finally, there's this watermark tutorial as an alternative if you need it.
I want to extend proper credit to the people who provided these links again, and who have been informing us about what these clowns are doing, but I don't want to paint unnecessary targets on anyone's backs. Sorry.
Kick GW2 Warp to the curb and make sure you're protecting your stuff, guys. If you didn't think you had to worry about it before, it sure looks like we do now.
Don't let your perceived level of skill, your online presence, etc. make you think you're not a likely target, because other people thinking they didn't have already found their works being stolen for this crap.
Take care of yourselves about this.
I had opened up the GW2 Warp discord to troubleshoot an issue I was having and saw they had a channel for "free A.I character art." Immediately left the discord and uninstalled the program. Just so people are aware.
#reblog#i'm so tired of these tech bro idiots thinking they can and should use this stuff to get a one-up on artists and other creatives#so many artists' livelihoods being threatened or ruined and so many other artists now being afraid to create and/or share their stuff#just because these people are taking 'art isn't real work' to its logical extreme#if it's not something you can immediately pick up on without challenge then that means it takes WORK to do it#which means it should be respected AS WORK and compensated for AS WORK#no artist is any more special with their eyes or hands/limbs/etc. than the average person#they're just willing to look at things in ways others don't think to look#and they care enough about making their art TO ACTUALLY WORK ON IT#it's not talent man. it's priorities#if you don't prioritize the work in building your skills to create then yes - you're not going to be good at actually creating#BUT THE THING IS#THAT'S EASY TO CHANGE#YOU CAN -ALWAYS- DECIDE TO WORK ON DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILL THROUGH LEARNING AND PRACTICE#and i promise you that once you do that you WILL get better!#but you need to actually decide to do that you need to actually DO start that work#if you're only ever looking at ways to cheat or to skip out on the effort and the time and are still expecting good results#then you're a fool.#you're a fool who's tremendously offensively harmfully disrespectful not only to ARTISTS but to YOURSELF and your own capacities as a person#be better. by everything that's holy and not BE BETTER. godsdamn.

🌻 another!
Lol hello my dear lovely anon. Thank you for the 🌻. I’m so happy you liked my first post.
*takes up microphone again* Lets talk about plagiarism in Fandom.
Again. Sorry if this offends anyone. But I feel like this needs to be discussed and talked about more than it has been.
So I would like to start this off by saying that I nearly added this in my last rant 🌻 post but I decided not too because I knew I would go on another huge rant about this topic alone and I wanted to make this a highlighted issue.
JUST BECAUSE YOU DOWNLOAD, OR SAVE A PIECE OF FAN ART TO YOUR DEVICE DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO THEN TAKE THAT ART AND POST IT ANY WHERE YOU PLEASE, LET ALONE CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN.
I will not lie to you I think we have all been guilty of this in the past. But it is time to stop.
Fan artists work hours upon hours and days upon days to make beautiful works of art for us all to enjoy so please follow their guidelines that they make for their blog, channel, Twitter account, where ever and be respectful of that.
Understand that posting fanart that you have saved on your device without properly citing the creator is stealing. You did not create that art and thus do not deserve the credit for that art. Please give the artists the credit they deserve.
Not entirely sure how? Well your first step should always to check your sources. For instance: Lets say I find a beautiful piece of art here on Tumblr. Simply rebloging that art is not always the best option. Always go to the creator’s blog to get permission. Be completely sure that you are on the real creator’s blog by scrolling through some of their content, double checking with their username, and bio. A lot of times they will say “I am an artist that goes by @” in the bio if they want people to find them. If I’m ever unsure I click on the original post and then scroll through the blog looking for other art made in a similar style with the same water mark before double checking the @ mentioned before to see if they match.
You don’t always have to send them a message to ask if you can repost or reblog their art. (although sending them a little love note would absolutely make their days) Most artists will have in their bio whether or not it is ok to reblog and or ok to publish their art on other sites. Some will give strict orders not to. Some will give permissions to only reblog and not repost. Meanwhile some may ask that people ask permission if they wanted to post their art in other places.
Lets say that I wanted to post their art on a separate platform. In that person’s Bio it says it is ok as long as I give them proper credit and that I give them a shout out which are both things I would be more than happy to do. The first thing you should do, is get the original post’s URL and copy it. Make your post and then add the link directly to their post. Second, get the link directly to their blog and add it underneath the first link as a means for anyone to find the original artist. Make sure both links work. And then add a shout out to the artist. Simply “Look at this art @ made isn’t it amazing please check them out at the links below!” Makes all the difference it truly does.
And I could get into the whole thing with Twitter and the hell it’s going through rn. But. This hellscape right here is my home so. I’m just going to focus on what I can here. Again I’m sorry if I offended anyone but it’s time to stop blatantly stealing these people’s art and it’s time to give them the credit they all deserve.
#protect the fan artists#fanart#if you see stolen fan art speak up#fanart rant#another rant#I’m so sorry#look I just want people to be better

You definitely didn’t hallucinate the practice of blurring non-celebs’ faces in photos. It’s 2022–the idea of gatekeeping any image you post on the internet is absurd. Calling you out then making a big show of withholding other pictures from the event is a really juvenile, territorial, vindictive, and toxic way to participate in a fandom. You have nothing to apologize for.
What’s curious to me is the twitter outrage, at first, was mostly centered around me putting a sticker over the fan’s face, but then when I immediately apologized, offered my reason for doing what I did, and deleted the post, the outrage is now more centered around me not asking permission to post the picture, and not crediting the source, which, I do believe is valid criticism in the sense that that is what is polite to do, but in the age of the internet, any photo with a celebrity that gets published to a public platform (as opposed to shared within private dms, or on a private twitter, etc.) is now public, and people can and will republish/redistribute those photos on instagram, twitter, tumblr, etc. with impunity, and not always while maintaining credit to the proper source, because the “rights” of the photograph are generally those of public domain images, despite copyright law still recognizing the owner of the photo. It’s as if the photo was taken by paparazzi, essentially—the Getty photographer’s name is usually associated with the picture on the original site itself, but that doesn’t mean it’s common practice for fans to add the photographer’s name to their descriptions and tag them on instagram. Further, twitter’s terms of use dictate that once a photo is shared on twitter: “by submitting, posting, or displaying content on or through the services, you grant worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display, and distribute such content on any and all media or distribution methods (now known or later developed.”
This is all to say: was it impolite to modify and republish the image without giving credit to the source? Yes. Does it violate terms of service? No. In fact, I did exactly what twitter outlines is fair use.
They also changed their tweet response to my apology to add that I’m using the photo for my own content “& engagement.” Why delete the original tweet to add “& engagement?” At the time of me deleting the Melbourne photo, the photo had not been engaged with hardly at all…? Perhaps two likes? And one reblog from an angry friend adding the source? That’s hardly any engagement at all, and when I saw the outrage, I immediately deleted it when I realized there was genuine upset over it. I gained absolutely nothing from posting that photo, and did not post it with the intention of personal gain or “engagement”…? Let’s be real—tumblr is not the platform where “engagement” drives literally anything, except perhaps for gifsets and art. There is no algorithm I’m trying to hit with someone else’s photo. I was simply, in my mind, recording Miranda Otto’s presence at the Melbourne Film Festival on my Miranda Otto-centric blog, which is used these days largely as an archive and a place to post announcements of new projects. I put the sticker on the photo to ensure I wasn’t broadcasting someone’s face who is not a public figure to thousands of my followers. Now that I know that specific person would prefer me not to do that, I will not do so with their photos again, but it bears repeating that that is because I want to be polite, and avoid outrage—not because doing what I did went against terms of service or even general internet practice.
Regardless, my original apology stands, and I will not be sharing any content of cursedsapphic’s in the future.

#reblogging now that I've actually had time to sit down and give this proper attention and take it all in#and damn i love that you managed to get through all of this and never veer off topic into Deathwing#:)
*snorts* You give me too much credit. Deathwing was absolutely on the to do list for that post, he was just in the part I never got to because I hit my ‘oh right, physiological needs are a thing’ threshold and was like fuck it, I’ll do that later.
Kalen’s Razor: Never attribute to willpower what can be better explained by him just running out of steam.
But I mean tbh, he was in the part I delayed for another time because I didn’t want to like.....shortchange the importance of that part and how much attention and thought I gave it. Because like, I don’t actually think he’s off topic at all. I think he’s absolutely central to the topic, and in fact, he’s part of the thing I TRULY despise about this whole mess of a story and DC’s actions in regards to it. Faaaaaar more than their failure to call it rape or the victim-blaming, and you KNOW how much I love me a good ‘how dare they’ victim-blaming rant. So.
Still don’t quite have the time or spoons to dig into all that just yet, but I mean.....I think it definitely also needs to be acknowledged that Mirage was raped by Dick’s future timeline evil doppelganger like, right after she did it and before the wedding issue even.....with the timing being really sketchy. Like, its literally just a handful of issues after her rape of him.....in fact, given the timeline publishing works according to and taking into account the lagtime between scripting/art and then to printers and then actual publication....its pretty damn clear they had to have started writing THAT storyline basically the month AFTER Mirage’s reveal that it was her Dick slept with hit stands. Ie, the month they would have started hearing reactions to that story.
So like.....there’s pretty much no way in hell that the Deathwing story WASN’T written specifically in response to that earlier story, or more specifically to REACTIONS to that....which leaves literally only two real options for WHY they would have felt the need for that. One would be as a ‘just desserts’ type thing, like if it was meant as a punishment - which ugh, no, that would not be any better for a whole host of reasons I don’t have time for right now.....but tbh, that doesn’t really track because if that was the reason for that direction you would assume they WOULD bring up what she did to Dick again as relevant. Like that direction literally only makes sense IF you WANT to focus on what she did and why it was fucked up. Which....they clearly didn’t, since they never did that.
Which leaves the only other real likely option....that it was done in an attempt to drum up sympathy for her character and distract from what she’d done, as for whatever reason DC was still interested in keeping her as a hero and eventually a full time Titan, and they’d only realized after the fact that where they had previously had taken her was now making that damn near impossible without ‘damage control.’ And I deeply resent the fuck out of that, and using rape as a ploy to drum up sympathy for a character, particularly one who only needs sympathy drummed up because of doing basically the same damn thing, like....ugh. Fuck you DC. Its cheap, and manipulative, and compounds the refusal to address Dick’s rape as rape now juxtaposed to the rape of his rapist, which in contrast they have ZERO problem addressing as rape.
But unfortunately, its really hard to see any other possible reason they would have gone that direction since it marked the point at which they REVISITED the others’ reactions to what happened with her and Dick and had Kory, who had previously expressed forgiveness and more of a focus on her anger at Mirage....THIS was the point where Kory reversed course and characters en masse started only addressing what Dick ‘had done’ as an active act of cheating. As well as being the point past which no character again brought up to Mirage any mention of her role in that, and the focus around her switched entirely to the ongoing storyline of her pregnancy due to Deathwing’s rape and his ensuing fixation on her and the baby, with a TON of focus on his obsession with HIS unborn child....all of which is basically tailor made to keep the narrative context around her actively sympathetic and further and further distant from what had happened with Dick. Culminating of course in the point where Julienne was born, Deathwing was in a coma and never talked about again, and Mirage left the team and the book to go raise Julienne.
Except there’s one thing that has driven me fucking bonkers for years, because its the part that never made ANY sense and seems entirely contradictory with their seeming desire to never actually address what happened with her and Dick and keep her at least as firmly separate and distanced in readers’ minds....from him and her actions there as possible.
Like, if that was the goal, I would THINK that they would go out of their way to leave as little wiggle room as possible as to who Julienne’s father actually was. I mean, right? If you don’t want people ever thinking or focusing on what she did to Dick and her connection to HIM rather than Deathwing.....I would think the LAST thing you would want is for people - characters OR readers - to have any reason to doubt that Deathwing was the baby’s father. Instead, its like they went out of their way TO make wiggle room for that very thing? Which makes NO sense.
But that’s exactly what they did. What happened with Dick and then what happened with Deathwing were mere issues apart and given the context of everything else happening, was at MOST a few weeks apart. Which isn’t a big deal, logistically, until you factor in that when they did reveal Mirage’s pregnancy a good twenty (maybe more) issues or so after THAT point.....they made a point to reveal that Mirage had used her powers to hide her pregnancy for some time. With it specifically pointed out that she went out of her way to hide it from her teammates as well as Deathwing. Like.....the ONLY thing that particular plot point really accomplished OR was ever brought up in context of.....was in terms of how it literally made it impossible to ever know for sure how long Mirage actually spent pregnant....ie, when exactly she got pregnant.
And THEN, on TOP of that......after Deathwing being firmly established as Dick’s future timeline counterpart for actual YEARS at that point, real world time....at the very end of his appearances, once in his coma and right about when Mirage gave birth.....they for whatever reason decided to reveal that actually, Deathwing had never been any version of Dick Grayson at all. That he was only brainwashed to THINK he had the backstory he had...by whomever had selected him for how similar he appeared to the real Dick Grayson and then surgically altered him to further the impression.
And this was pretty much the last time the pre-Flashpoint version of Deathwing ever appeared or was even referenced, just kept at S.T.A.R. Labs in his coma from that point on and never revisited.....which again makes it like....WHY? Why go to that trouble? Like especially because if you DIDN’T actually want anyone ever really being like ‘hey has anyone ever considered Julienne might be Dick’s? Like do we know for sure, like, the two events DID happen awfully close together”.....like, if that’s what you DON’T want ever happening, then it actually works BETTER if Deathwing is Dick’s evil alternate counterpart? Because then there’s literally no element that can ever be brought up or introduced to suggest that Julienne is actually Dick Grayson’s daughter.....that CAN’T be dismissed with “well yes, and Deathwing WAS, technically, Dick Grayson, that explains that.” It effectively makes the question of who is Julienne’s true father impossible to ever conclusively answer.....which in turn basically makes it an irrelevant question. There’s no reason to ask that question instead of just accepting the narrative that its Deathwing....because what’s the point when the only answer that can ever be found is still always going to be “Dick Grayson” either way?
But making a point to reveal that Deathwing ISN’T a version of Dick and never was....is what actually ALLOWS for doubt and creates a reason to make the real Dick Grayson relevant to the subject of Mirage and Julienne again....AFTER the comics just spent the last thirty or so issues doing every other thing possible to make Dick IRRELEVANT to their storyline. Because only NOW, after that specific reveal, is there an actual reason characters might some day revisit the matter and actually raise the question of Julienne’s parentage....because only NOW does it become a question that would require a conclusive answer of one or the other, Dick Grayson or Deathwing...where a definitive answer that is NOT Deathwing, is actually a viable prospect.
I just....*pulls hair and eats it* I don’t understand what they were going for. Its entirely counter intuitive, and both elements - the pregnancy timeline and Deathwing specifically not being a genetic double of the real Nightwing - are entirely SUPERFICIAL to the entire storyline they created for Mirage and Julienne. There is absolutely ZERO reason to bring those things up or focus on them at all, nothing is added to the story BY bringing those up. And literally every other thing they did with both Dick and Mirage over the course of like, the entire last couple years of Mirage’s regular appearances before she left the team to raise Julienne....every other thing they did follows a clear pattern of deliberately putting as much distance between the two and their shared storyline as possible....
Except for these two specific details that they never needed to put in and ONLY serve one singular purpose: to throw the otherwise clear picture and timeline into question, and bring the possibility of Dick being the true father BACK into the equation that they’d just spent umpteen issues writing him OUT of.
Ugh. Its one of those things that’s always gonna bug me even though its never going to matter at this point. Hell, even with the Mirage story obliquely mentioned recently in the Batman B&W story and continuity being open season, like, I’ll be pretty surprised if they ever actually bring Mirage back into the picture, but I’d be stunned if they ever even reference Julienne again. Like, as far as canon goes at least, its literally never gonna matter, but its such a weird unnecessary little discrepancy that I’ve always just wanted to track down one of the writers involved and be like....”can you walk me through that? I really just want to understand what your logic was there” lolol.
#rape tw#yes that was me still not actually digging into it yet#shut up#you know I can dig deeper than that dont act surprised

Rules for mobile users
[[here’s a google doc for the updated list of rules, applicable for all my blogs]]
anything under this cut is from my outdated rules.
[rules updated: 08/15/2019]
–STUFF YOU SHOULD DO–
• No godmodding. No sending (implied or explicit) homophobic/transphobic/bigoted messages to me or my character either.
• Please don’t over-pester me for replies. I promise I’ll get to them. Feel free to drop me a reminder after at least a week of no replies, though. In return, I usually give you a week too, unless otherwise specified in your own rules, until I remind you if it’s your turn to reply (or more often, I chicken out and trust that you’ll eventually respond/want to drop it and end up never bringing up that particular thread ever again). You’re always free to start multiple threads with me, that is greatly encouraged because I love having lots of threads with people.
• If you start getting bored with the roleplay, feel free to drop it and/or end it. We can always start up another thread in the future.
• However, please let me know if you want to drop a roleplay thread! It can give me major anxiety when I’m waiting for a response that’s never going to come, and I wonder if I did something wrong and assume that’s why you’re not replying anymore :’) I’m not forcing you to let me know if you want to drop a thread, you can drop it without saying anything too. But I personally really appreciate being told about that sort of thing.
• Don’t reblog a thread you’re not part of. This should go without being said, of course. Personals will be hardblocked immediately, rp blogs will receive a warning.
• If you can trim your threads, please do! It’s fine if you can’t, though, because I will most likely trim the thread for you. If you don’t trim threads with other people, however, I’ll be less likely to follow you since I don’t like scrolling through long posts.
• Please don’t claim any of my art as your own. If you post it somewhere, the least you can do is credit me by at least including a link to my blog or something. Bonus points if you ask me first before reposting my art, but I understand if you’re anxious because so am I :’)
• If any of your art is featured on my blog, as an icon or something and you don’t want me to use your art, please tell me!!! Message me privately or contact me in some way and please let me know that you want your art taken down. As a fellow artist, I understand wanting other people to not use your art (although I am personally fine with it as long as proper credit is given,) but if you’re more strict about it than I am, that’s totally okay too! Just let me know, and I’ll stop using your art immediately, will delete all icons I have of your art, as well as delete every single instance of your art being used on this blog.
• That being said, if you’re following me, please let me know if I’m doing something that’s making you uncomfortable or is breaking one of your rules!! I do read the rules pages of everyone, but I’m human and forget things, and I’m not a mind reader either ;~; I care, so please tell me if I’m ever doing anything bad
• You can reply to any of my open starters at any time! Even if they’re a year old! Even if other people have already replied to it! My open starters are open for a reason, and we don’t have to be mutuals for you to reply to them either :’)

–STUFF YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND–
• I am of age to do smut, but Ted is literally in kindergarten so that is a no for this blog! There might be occasional references to adult stuff, given the mature nature of the canon game, but that’s about it. No explicit smut in this house.
• This blog is not a spoiler-free one. I will not tag roleplays with spoilers, but anything else will be tagged with Kindergarten Spoilers
• I’m alright with roleplaying nsfw in general, minus smut. Gore, violence, and generally dark roleplays are cool with me. It should be, considering the game this character is from. I love angsty things just as much as I love fluff ;w; Speaking of gore, you’re more than welcome to fight/harm/injure my muse to any extent! You don’t even have to ask! If you want to do a rp where he dies, however, please dm me first.
• I prefer not to roleplay with personals, unless you are someone I know from school or something like that. Personals in general are allowed to follow me too! However! Personals are not allowed to reblog roleplays, in character posts, or ooc posts especially if I say in the tags that I’m going to delete the post later. Only things that are tagged with my “musings” or “art tag” tags are okay to reblog. Headcanon posts are not okay to reblog unless I say otherwise.
• Like spamming is okay! I very occasionally lose roleplays, and getting lots of notes from likes are never a factor for that, for me personally. If I lose a roleplay, it’s mostly just because I forgot, so that’s really a “me” thing. I’m usually very good at keeping track of who I’m roleplaying with and how many ongoing threads I have, and I reply pretty consistently, so just remind me if I haven’t responded after a week or more days (as stated in one of the above rules)! And I like it when people like my posts! It lets me know that you like my blog and the stuff I post, and it makes me happy :’)
• If you are an OC, I will assume our muses have never met unless you plan ahead with me what their relationship is like.
• That being said, characters who have already interacted in canon will know each other. Unless the roleplay takes place in a different point of time and we are staging their first meeting, of course.
• Doubles are welcome to interact too! Although currently I don’t know of much other Ted roleplay blogs lmao. I’m also cool with interacting with and following duplicates of different characters than my own muse!
• This blog will not have mains. Ted will not have any specific version of a muse that he’ll talk about in threads, unless the thread is specifically about that one muse for some reason. For Kindergarten blogs, he will typically be the Ted in your muse’s timeline in serious roleplays, unless your muse is part of an AU/UA/canon-divergent universe, or there are things about your muse’s backstory that would contradict Ted being in your timeline naturally, or you talk about it with me beforehand.
• I’m pretty lenient with short replies. Don’t feel pressured to match the length if my reply gets long! Multi-para (usually 2-5 paragraphs) is my go-to for roleplays, so I usually do long replies by default.
• Adding onto that, I honestly don’t mind one-liners. Of course, in crack/online roleplays it’s fine but I’m okay with it in serious roleplays too. I prefer it if you don’t give me one-liners, but hey, as long as I’m still having fun with the roleplay anyway, it’s cool with me! I understand not being able to think of anything to write, so just as long as you don’t give me one or two words as your reply like ‘He smiled.’ or ’*laughs*’, I’ll be cool with it. Put at least some effort even if you’re only gonna give me one sentence, otherwise I’ll drop the rp once it becomes a repeat offense.
• I will not change the formatting of my roleplays to fit yours. I’m comfortable with sticking to only paragraph style roleplays, thank you very much. Feel free to keep formatting your own posts though, because I think formatting looks really cool! I just don’t want to format my posts, however. I will not go all out with formatting my own posts with all that cool ‘small text’, and indents, and bolding and all that. The most I ever do with my formatting is italics for emphasis on certain words, and using icons.
• I tend to move roleplays from asks onto its own post. If I send you an ask meme and you answer it, I’ll respond by making a new post, tagging you, and linking to your reply.
• I accept any sort of asks! If they aren’t answered after a while, either I don’t know how to answer it or I might be drawing it out and I am a very slow artist- Sorry-
• Feel free to tag me in any of those tagging memes! I don’t mind and I think they’re pretty fun to do! ^^
• Adding onto the above rule, you’re more than welcome to send me those chain asks like “send this to 10 roleplayers you think are really great!” because it’s super duper nice that you would think to send one to me! But don’t expect me to send them to other people, because I won’t :’) my anxiety won’t let me, so I’m sorry-
• If I follow you, that means I’ve already read all of your rules. I might not send the codephrase, though, because most of the time I get very anxious over having to send things like that. I’m very sorry–! But if I follow you then chances are that I have definitely read them before following- If you choose not to trust me on this, I understand.
• I generally follow every rp blog that follows me, but I might not follow some people back for a few reasons. Some might be for the type of content you post on your blog, but I am still non-selective! I will roleplay with anyone who asks (unless you wanna rp gross things or you’re a mean person,,,, like your muse can be as much of a dick as you want, that’s no problem but don’t be gross to other people as yourself) and if I do roleplay with you, I will be more likely to follow you as well.
• Adding onto the above rule, however, please respect that it’s nothing personal if I ever unfollow you either! It’s not that I hate you or anything, but if you haven’t followed me back and you’re a private rp blog, or if we’re mutuals but never really roleplay, our muses just don’t click, you spam stuff that I don’t want to see on my dash, or you’ve become inactive for years and/or don’t interact with me anymore, there’s nothing wrong with that! We can still be friends but I prefer to have all the people I follow be potential rp partners. Feel free to follow me on my personal, Briightskies, if you still wanna keep in touch but not rp :’)

–ABOUT THIS BLOG–
• This blog is OC, multiverse, and crossover friendly! I love OCs and have many of my own tbh, you’re all more than welcome to come rp with me!!
• I’ll also rp with fandoms I’m not into either, as long as you have a good about section for your character, which also indicates how you portray them (any headcanons or AUs you have that aren’t canon, or whether you portray them as canonly as possible, unless they’re OCs of course since a regular about page is a given) and I’ll probably look up other things about that fandom in its wiki if I don’t know what something is anyway.
• This blog is multiship and will only ship with other child muses! Kid crushes are adorable! I used to have many crushes as a child, and the game does depict children crushing on each other or outright ‘dating’. So any relationships my muse is involved in, are in different timelines unless specified. Poly relationships aren’t bad though, just saying. I ship pretty much anything unless it’s incest or if they’re children paired with someone a lot older. Because Ted is a child, he won’t really get intimate with his partners, but romantic stuff is okay.
• I also only ship with chemistry. My muses need to get to know yours first, so don’t get disappointed if he only sees you as a friend/acquaintance at first and has no intention of pursuing a romantic relationship with your muse. Give my muse reasons to care about your muse and let the feelings develop naturally, and don’t ever force your muse on mine. Unless it’s to mess with him, or whatever other reason. Unrequited stuff is absolutely okay with me too!
• I will tag common triggers and such, but don’t be afraid to tell me if you have something you want me to tag! I promise I’ll remember to tag it from then on. I do not have any known triggers myself. Any trigger warning tags will be written as “tw; ____” with a semi-colon, not a colon. If I feel like something should be tagged as a trigger but I’m not sure what to tag it exactly, I’ll just tag it as “tw” as a sort of catch-all tag.
Requested tagged triggers:
none right now
• I will only talk through the IM system ooc. If you send me a message through there, I will not respond with ooc brackets ((these things)) because I will automatically assume you know that you’re talking to the mun. I do not do roleplays on there.
-
Thank you for reading this really long list of rules! It means a lot if you did!
There’s no password, because I’m also anxious with those for other people’s blogs as I said above. But if you would like to interact with me, you can shoot me an ask directed to my muse, or like one of my starter call posts at any time (also feel free to re-like those posts so I can make another starter for you at any time!) for me to write you a starter!

Rules for mobile users
[[here’s a google doc for the updated list of rules, applicable for all my blogs]]
anything under this cut is from my outdated rules.
[rules updated: 07/28/2019]
–STUFF YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND–
• I am of age to do smut, but Kris is a minor so that is a no for this blog! There will occasionally be sex jokes, but that’s about it. No explicit smut in this house.
• This blog is not a spoiler-free one. I will not tag roleplays with spoilers, but anything else will be tagged with Deltarune Spoilers
• I’m alright with roleplaying nsfw in general, minus smut. Gore, violence, and generally dark roleplays are cool with me. I love angsty things just as much as I love fluff ;w; Speaking of gore, you’re more than welcome to fight/harm/injure my muse to any extent! You don’t even have to ask! Come in and fight this gremlin tbh! If you want to do a rp where they die, however, please dm me first.
• I prefer not to roleplay with personals, unless you are someone I know from school or something like that. Personals in general are allowed to follow me too! However! Personals are not allowed to reblog roleplays, in character posts, or ooc posts especially if I say in the tags that I’m going to delete the post later. Only things that are tagged with my “online reblogs” or “musings” or "art tag" tags are okay to reblog. Headcanon posts are not okay to reblog unless I say otherwise.
• Like spamming is okay! I very occasionally lose roleplays, and getting lots of notes from likes are never a factor for that, for me personally.
• Kris will be pretty meta sometimes. They are aware of who Players are (they're definitely not fond of them other than the few good players they've met), and they know they live in the game world, and are aware of alternate universes and things of that nature.
• Kris is nonbinary on this blog. Although, I don’t care if you refer to them as a boy or a girl (Kris personally will care if you refer to them as a girl though, because they usually Don’t like that). Their order of preference for pronouns is they/he/she, although they will definitely like you more if you use exclusively they/them pronouns. I respect all headcanons about Kris’ gender, and same goes for any Frisks and Charas. If you play a KFC kid, gendered or not, I will use the pronouns they want used, and I do hope that you use they/them pronouns for my Kris. I personally will default to using they/them for other Krises, Frisks, and Charas unless specified on your blog. No discourse about this, please.
• Doubles are welcome to interact too! Of course they are, considering the Kris Squad. I’m also cool with interacting with and following multiple blogs who portray the same character other than Krises as well!
• This blog will not have mains. However, the only “main” they really have is the Berdly over at @berdbrainx. That Berdly originates in their timeline in the “main verse.” Other than him, they will not have any specific version of a muse that they’ll talk about in threads, unless the thread is specifically about that one muse for some reason. For Deltarune non-Kris blogs, they will typically be the Kris in your universe unless you already have a Kris main or you talk about it with me beforehand. Doubles of Kris will be treated as alternates. In their “main verse” in spontaneous roleplays/asks/replies to in-character posts (online roleplays), they reside in their own separate timeline. It’s a classic timeline that doesn’t have any other muses in it, so they don’t have a specific blog’s Susie, or Noelle, or other character that is from their own timeline. So they will treat your muse as if they are an alternate of their own timeline’s counterpart of them.
• I accept any sort of asks! If they aren’t answered after a while, either I don’t know how to answer it or I might be drawing it out and I am a very slow artist- Sorry-
• Feel free to tag me in any of those tagging memes! I don’t mind and I think they’re pretty fun to do! ^^

–STUFF YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND–
• I am of age to do smut, but Berdly is a minor so that is a no for this blog! There will occasionally be sex jokes, but that’s about it. No explicit smut in this house.

Personals are not allowed to reblog roleplays, in character posts, or ooc posts especially if I say in the tags that I'm going to delete the post later. • This blog will not have mains. Other than the Kris at @daggcrisms. That Kris originates in his timeline in the "main verse". Excluding them, he will not have any specific version of a muse that he’ll talk about in threads, unless the thread is specifically about that one muse for some reason. For Deltarune blogs, he will typically be the Berdly in your muse’s timeline in serious roleplays, unless your muse is part of an AU/UA/canon-divergent universe, or there are things about your muse’s backstory that would contradict Berdly being in your timeline naturally (like Berdly being dead or something), or you talk about it with me beforehand. In his “main verse” in spontaneous roleplays/asks/replies to in-character posts, he resides in his own separate timeline. It’s a classic timeline that doesn’t have any other muses in it, so he doesn’t have a specific blog’s Susie, or Noelle, that is from his own timeline. Only Sponte/Kris from the blog mentioned above.
Of course, in crack/online roleplays it's fine but I'm okay with it in serious roleplays too.
If I send you an ask meme and you answer it, I'll respond by making a new post, tagging you, and linking to your reply. Until formatting on asks are fixed, I will answer any asks sent to me in a new text post rather than asks.
—
• This blog is multiship! So any relationships my muse is involved in, are in different timelines unless specified. Poly relationships aren’t bad though, just saying. I ship pretty much anything unless it’s incest or if they’re children paired with someone a lot older. Selfcest is fine too (though I really don’t know how to feel about Berdly x Berdly,,,,,, I mean, if you want to try it with me, go for it lol!). Because Berdly is a minor, he won’t really get intimate with his partners, but romantic stuff is a-okay.
| Requested tagged triggers:
tw; gore
tw; spiders
tw; insects
tw; blood
tw; homestuck
tw; smoking
tw; drugs
tw; alcohol
tw; needles
tw; oceans
tw; cutting
duplicates // (if anyone else has a specific way they want something tagged that's different from my tagging style, please let me know)
tw; zombies
tw; bats
tw; maggots
tw; sibling death
tw; sibling peril

I want to reblog your duolingo piece and give you credit. I could just say "by 'worldsentwined'" but since your signature says "KLY" I wanted to ask what do you prefer to be called?
Hi! Thanks for the ask, it’s really nice to hear that you like my duolingo piece and want to give proper credit.
The “KLY” thing is because I am in the habit of just signing all my art with my initials - I probably should get in the habit of adding “worldsentwined” for the stuff I’m posting on Tumblr, heh. Since my name is pretty distinctive and I still have a bit of the paranoia about using real names on the internet that comes with being a child of the 90′s/00′s, my main internet name is “Kiraly”. So either “Kiraly” or “worldsentwined” would be fine.
One thing I do want to clarify though - when you say “reblog”, I assume you mean “reblog the original post here on Tumblr”. If that’s the case, then adding the additional shoutout to my name is fine, but not really necessary; the reblog feature will allow people to find my original post and blog. :)
If what you’re actually asking about is reposting my art on a different platform, I’d like a little more information. I’m not strictly opposed to having my work posted elsewhere (I’m not on every platform and there are plenty of internet corners I’ll likely never go to) so it might be okay as long as it’s not for commercial use and has a link back to my original post with credit. But I’d like to know where it’s going before you do that. I haven’t had problems with art theft or any of my art getting really popular through someone else reposting it - the perks of being a mostly unknown fanartist - but I’ve heard enough horror stories that I want to be sure.
Anyway, it’s entirely possible you just mean reblogging it on Tumblr which is totally fine, I just want to be sure! And to put my position on reposting out there in case it applies to anyone else in the future. Again, I appreciate you taking the time to ask about it, and I’m happy you enjoyed the art!
#replies#credit#it's so mind-boggling to me that my duolingo art has gotten so popular#I probably haven't even seen the full extent of it because I don't see reblogs of reblogs of the original post#elparra

Artist: Isadora Zeferino, Instagram: @iamzeferino
In case anyone didn't know, you CAN help financially support artists WITHOUT spending your own money by doing all the things on the second half of this list. There are people out there who are willing/able to do the first half of this list, but the artist needs your help finding them.
"Likes" are good, but only a beginning. They barely help increase the artist's chances of being bumped up on the site's "recommended views" algorithm. Really, all a “like” will do is tell the artist that people enjoy their stuff. Which is cool, but if you REALLY want to help them look appealing to a site’s math, then you’ve gotta go with...
"Comments"! Many streaming/social media sites base their algorithms on how much chatter a thing is receiving. Discourse means more views, and more views means more people see their advertisements. Sites only help artists get money if artists help them get money. Leaving NICE comments is extra good--not because positive comments mean anything to the hosting site, but because they mean something to the artist.
"Credit" is super easy to overlook, and...well, this is where it REALLY begins to take more effort on your part. (I am definitely guilty of skipping this one sometimes, like most of us are.) Check the art you're about to share. Does it have the artist name in the piece/title/description? Most of us won't insure the things we share give the original creator proper credit, and that's because...well...it's HARD. There are a lot of sites/accounts out there that will purposely ERASE an artist's signature or tagline and claim the art as their own, sharing it from THEIR sites and getting the credit, views, and maybe even money for themselves. That's right, the original artist never benefits because people can't find them. Those copycat posers only posted descriptions that will lead you back to THEIR sites, not the artist's. Whenever you can, try and share something directly from the artist's page, or tag/mention them in your share. For an example, take a look at the top of this post! (Of course I was going to make sure I actually did it this time!)
"Tell Your Friends" is a way for the artist to tap into your own personal network. No, not really in a "Allow Artist to access your friend's list/contacts" kind of way, but in a, "You and your friends probably like a lot of similar things. If you like me, then they will probably like me. Please let them know I exist!" kind of way. This is the personal recommendation/word-of-mouth advertising artists are trying to tap into, and it can WORK. I currently work for a restaurant that doesn't do ANY major media advertising and we mainly gain customers through people just talking about us. We've gone from 20 to 50+ stores in 7 years. There's lots of potential marketing in this tactic, but it banks on you, the viewer, DOING something about it. The only thing I can think to add to this list right now is:
“Follow / Subscribe”. If there’s an “update alert” option, click it! Some site algorithms pay attention to how many people are looking at someone’s page, because where there’s lots of views, there’s lots of opportunity to put their ads. And once again, if a hosting site feels a certain person can get them more views, they will promote that person as someone of interest.
So please, if you're genuinely a fan of someone or something but lack the money to support them, then go full-tilt Mrs. Bingley on them and do things that'll "throw them into the paths of other rich [patrons]."
Thanks for coming to my TED talk. If you enjoyed it, please like and comment below, and be sure to hit the “reblog” button! (...yes, now you know why every youtube video has this now.)

It’s Named After You
Pairing: Finn/Rose
Rating: G
-
This is based on a very sweet FinnRose fan art I saw that legitimately made me tear up. I reblogged it but can’t seem to find it again so if you’re familiar with the work, please let me know so I can tag the artist! Their work really moved me!
-
People were smiling and shouting, children darting between shoppers and vendor’s booths. It’s so idyllic it seems surreal. Poe trailed behind him, winking at girls as they pass, sending them into flurries of giggles. They’re resistance heroes now and he’s well aware of the added charm he exudes with the new patches on his uniform jacket. After all, when you help restore balance to the galaxy, you’re bound to become the hot new ticket. Finn doesn’t miss the way they appraise him as well, giving him the once over and smiling at him with blushing cheeks. He coughs and looks away, rubbing his neck awkwardly.
Finn’s jacket remains mostly the same, if not a little worse for wear now that the war is over. No matter how many times it got snagged and cut and scraped, he’d repair it. It’s the first thing he ever felt like he really owned. The first thing anyone gave him.
They passed by tables and booths laden with foods he’s never seen before and wonders if he could take some back with him to send to Rey. It’s a long way to Naboo and he’s not sure what would keep. He smiled, thinking about his friend, and hoped that she’s as happy as she seemed the last time she’d commed him.
He heard a loud crunching behind him and turned to see Poe taking huge bites out of a crisp red fruit.
“Almakian apple,” he said with his mouth full, tossing Finn an identical ruby red globe. He smiled gratefully but tucked it into his satchel instead of eating it right away.
They continued down the crowded street, coming up to a section of booths draped in fabrics and littered with jewelry and other kind of accessories Finn didn’t recognize. He stared awestruck at the variety of colors and patterns, bending to carefully peruse the wares.
“So, are we looking for something in particular?” Poe asked with raised brows as he leaned an arm on the other man’s shoulder, his lips smacking around his snack.
“No- no one,” Finn rushed to say, “I mean- nothing!”
Poe grinned knowingly but shrugged anyway, leaning back with one arm tucked under the other as he chewed his food loudly.
“If you say so, buddy,” he snorted, a playful smirk on his lips. Finn chewed the inside of his cheek and didn’t meet his friend’s eyes, busying himself instead with inspecting the bejeweled items on the table in front of him.
Merchants and traders called out to them from their shops, beckoning them closer with promises of enticing finds. They wandered for a long time, passing by tents filled with exotic goods. There were strange pets in elaborately designs cages, heady perfumes and oils, and clothes that scandalized him when he imagined…well, he quickly schooled his thoughts.
Poe had strayed from his side, enticed by a leggy blonde with sparkling eyes who only smiled softly and looked away coquettishly when he caught her gaze. Finn watched him a moment, face alight with amusement the other man sought out the challenge before him. When it was clear he was going to be occupied for awhile, he continued down the row of booths, eyes flicking this way and that between the assorted baubles and trinkets.
He was passing by a tent filled with plants of varying sizes and varieties in little glass orbs and cases when something caught his eye. Sitting on a pedestal, there was single flower encased in glass. Finn had seen flowers, of course, on the planets he’d visited during his training and since defecting from the First Order, but never one like this. Its petals were a brilliant sapphire blue and velvety, curling around once another in a beautiful pattern.
“Are you shopping for someone special?”
He looked up to see the owner of the booth, a young woman who offered him a friendly smile. He felt heat rising to his cheeks and quickly shook his head.
“Uh, no- well, not exactly. Just a friend, that’s all,” he fumbled, shrugging his shoulders.
“This one’s very pretty,” she said, holding up the flower he’d been looking at, “I’m sure she’ll like it.”
“How’d you know it was a she?” he replied, smoothing his hand over his jaw bashfully. The merchant woman merely giggled and shook her head, offering him the terrarium. He took it, examining the flower carefully.
“I, uh, don’t really know much about flowers,” he chuckled, “What’s this one called?”
“This is a rose from Ithor,” she beamed back at him, turning the case to show him the little inscription. He read the words carved into the little metal plaque with a look of wonder before his eyes snapped up to hers, lips parting slightly.
“This flower is called a Rose?” he asked hurriedly.
“Er- yes. An Ithorian Rose,” the shop keeper repeated.
“How much?” he demanded, his sudden excitement catching her off guard. She gave him the price and he quickly transferred the credits to her, running off with the rose tucked protectively in his arms. He spotted Poe and the blonde sitting outside a sidewalk café and darted over to them.
“Poe!” he called out, nerves alight with frantic energy. He turned and greeted his comrade with a flash of his winning smile.
“Heya, pal! Whatcha got there?” he asked, gesturing to the terrarium.
Instead of answering, he replied hastily, “I have to get back to the base!”
Poe’s face fell, and he narrowed his eyes with concern.
“Whoa, slow down, buddy! Something wrong?”
“No- nothing! I, uh, I’ll tell you later! I just gotta go!” he floundered, already halfway into a sprint.
“Hold up! What’s the big rush?” Poe called out behind him, and then when he didn’t turn back, shouted sarcastically, “Hey, don’t worry about me or anything!”
But Finn didn’t hear him. His heart was thrumming in his ears, am excited grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. He dashed down the crowded aisles and corridors until he reached the spot where their speeders were parked and gently affixed his purchase and satchel to the back, double checking to make sure they were secure before hopping on and revving the engine.
It took him half the time to reach the base as they’d taken getting to the market and he made quick work of putting the speeder in its proper parking place. He ran into the base, his feet carrying him past people who barely had a chance to make way before he flew past them towards the hangar.
He was panting when he saw her, the sleeves of her jumpsuit pushed up to her elbows, wiping the sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand before leaning into the guts of an X-Wing once more.
“Rose!” he practically shouted, dashing towards the plane. She looked over her shoulder at him and waved, hopping down to meet him and wiping her hands on a grease stained rag. He held the flower up to her excitedly, pointing to the engraving on the metal.
“Rose!”, he laughed, out of breath, “They named a flower after you!”
Rose looked between Finn and the glass case, blinking, and for a moment, he thought she might be stunned, but then she burst out laughing, holding her sides and throwing her head back joyously. It wasn’t the reaction he was expecting but the sound of her laughter, big and bold and loud, and so <i>her</i> made his heart clench in his chest.
“Did you get this for me?” she asked, taking the blue rose from him and wiping away stray tears as her laughter subsided, her shoulders still shaking gently.
“Y-yeah,” he admitted shyly, “Do you like it?”
“I love it,” she sighed, clutching it to her chest and beaming at him. He smiled back nervously, still unsure as he shifted in his boots.
“Thank you,” he said softly. She quirked an eyebrow at him, laughing again.
“I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to thank you,” she said.
“No- I- I never thanked you properly for what you did on Crait. I wanted to get you something but nothing seemed like enough and then I saw this and…,” he trailed off, his face becoming serious as he took her hand in his, “Rose, you saved my life. Thank you.”
She stared up at him, wide-eyed, her breath hitching in her throat at his words. She felt tears stinging her eyes again, although for an entirely different reason this time. She shook her head and smiled through them.
“Well, we can’t have the big Resistance hero dying, dummy,” she laughed, bright and cheerful. His hand came up and cupped her tentatively, his thumb rubbing against her cheek on instinct. He looked at her in awe and admiration, his deep dark eyes flicking over the features of her face.
“Rose,” he whispered to her, “You’re my hero.”
This time, he kissed her.

ao3feed-thorki replied to your photoset “IF YOU DIDN’T MAKE IT, YOU DON’T OWN IT Don’t be a jerk. Reblog, don’t...”
So Googling Loki images and posting fanart because they are pretty is a no-no? I may have committed this sin a few...thousand times.
Yeah, that’s basically the idea of what not to do.
I’m going to try to break it down, without sounding like a total bitch about it, but you know, it is a source of frustration for us since we deal with things like this on a daily basis.
See, the idea is that when you find an art you like, you have a protocoll you follow. It’s unspoken, because it’s built on respect towards the fanwork’s creator, and one would think that it shouldn’t have to be explained, but sadly it does.
What to do when you find art and fall in love with it
1. You locate the original artist. Mostly their artist name is on the art itself, so that’s normally not a hard thing to track down. If you’re lucky, you’re already viewing the original artist’s post. If there’s no name available, a reverse Google image search is always a good bet in order to find the original post/artist.
2. Next you can do two things.
2.a. Once you find the original post, if you really feel like a repost is the only way you want to promote their art, ask the artist if they’d be okay with you reposting their art to your blog/page/social media account, with credit and link to their original post. Wait for a reply. If they say yes, go for it. If they say no, it’s a no, move on to step 2.b. If you don’t get a reply, it’s still to be regarded as a no. Again, move on to 2.b
2.b. Reblog the original artist’s post to your blog, using the “reblog” button (the two looping arrows at the bottom of every tumblr post on your dashboard, next to the heart, aka “like” button.) This is the way most artists prefer you to promote their art, and I will explain why.
Why you should Reblog, not Repost
A reblog is basically you passing on the original post from the artist’s tumblr page to your followers. The artist will receive credit and notes for their work, as well as recognition, and easy access for fans who wish to see more of their work, and/or follow their blog.
By reposting, you take this away. The artist will no longer receive notes or updates, because these will all be added to your post, not theirs. Even if you tag them in it, or link to their blog, they will still not get any real credit or feedback for their work. What takes you 30 seconds to repost, with or without link, took them maybe +50 hours to make. And now that hard work, all those hours of looking up references, tweaking colors, shading, erasing, redrawing, swearing, and maybe even somtimes crying, because HOW DO FINGERS EVEN FUCKING WORK, all of that is being overlooked. Simply because some can’t be bothered to even look up the name that’s written on the art itself, and ask permission. (Again, that’s step 1, always.)
It all boils down to mutual respect.
If you make something, pour your soul into something, and then go to show it to your mutuals because you’re proud of that work, and someone yanks it our of your hand and goes, “yeah this is mine now,” and also ends up getting all the credit, wouldn’t that hurt? Wouldn’t that make you feel like all that work was for nothing? Don’t you think it would make you feel uninspired to make more of that stuff in the future?
Probably, huh?
We, as artist, realize that not everyone reposts art and fanwork with the intent of taking credit. Most people just don’t think further. Maybe because they’re not artists themselves, or because they don’t have friends who are artists who can explain why or how this works. They come into fandom and see other people do it and assumes that it’s okay, and that is why we together must make an effort to change it.
If you see art blogs with NO reblogs, only resposts (aka. no source on their posts other than their own blog) don’t reblog from them. Make the effort, start at Step 1 and reblog the art properly, like the artist intended.
Don’t claim ownership to something you didn’t make. And even if you repost it and add “credit to the artist” at the bottom, thinking that people can Google the artist’s signature, that’s still not proper credit. The artist will never know that you just reposted their art, they will never see those notes, read those comments, feel the appreciation for their work.
So in short, and to come full circle to the original tagline of this post:
Don’t be a jerk. Reblog. Don’t repost.
Thank you <3
//Every fanartist, everywhere.
#ao3feed-thorki#chiyume replies#people steal our art from reblogged sources and puts them on t-shirts and coffe mugs without our consent#they make money off of our art because people think it's free for them to use as they please#it's so very frustrating#because if people just stopped and took a second to think of what they reblog the flow would be so much easier to control#not perfectly#but if we as fellow fans can't aknowledge the work of fanartist then who will?#fanart#art theft

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN TURKEY
I’m extremely enraged right now. Turkish government withdrew from İstanbul Convention today, putting women’s lives at more risk than ever!
I’m only asking you tumblr users to help us to get our voices heard
Making #istanbulsozlesmesiyasatir and #aklinizdanbilegecirmeyin is one way to spread our voices on Twitter
In the past social media is actually effective in forcing government to do something
Another way is that signing this, there is Turkish, English, French and Italian versions explaining the situation

Would you like to know what bugs me?
There are random pictures of people (likely the ones she saved or the Widows that she saved put their pictures from their lives where they have free will)
Flowers
Teddy bears (I bet the Widows put it there for her, remember the opening credits)
Do you realize what’s missing?
Any sign of Avengers… there is no stuff on there that shows “oh yeah certainly Pepper put it there who knew Natasha for 14 years. I’m sure Okoye put it here as they worked together for 5 years. That’s definitely Sam’s gift surely; they had been working together for 4 years and 3 of it was on the run. Is that Clint the BFF? Or surely that’s from Bruce, as he cared about her as friend… Nick Fury is trying to be sneaky again” this can go on and on
The thing is Natasha has been integral part of the team. She was among the original 6. She is the first female Avenger. She led the team with Steve as co leader for 1 year. She followed Steve to the ends of the world as she said in Heroes’ Journey. She spend 3 years in shadows with Steve and Sam. She led the new Avengers team for 5 years all alone
There are many more instances how she touched the others lives. Not only she didn’t get a funeral in Endgame but also she was ignored in every content until her movie and she will be ignored in future movies too.
The Super Family she had doesn’t hold funeral and also doesn’t even come to her grave. Some family huh?
In my opinion, the Widows she saved, Melina, Alexei and Yelena are the ones hold the funeral. They visit the grave regularly. That’s the real family she had
