Rules are arbitrary, laws even more so, and Kallus is willing to wager a great deal of credits that the man has never stepped foot inside a casino. "My apologies, Captain Orrelios." The response is a smooth drawl, tainted with embarrassment. "It appears I have yet to learn the etiquette of these games." "Or any etiquette at all," Eli Vanto adds from where he sits besides the Chiss, directly opposite Kallus. "For being the genius you are, you sure are stupid sometimes."

Thank you @avisisisis and @spacefinch for reminding me that my Nausicaa AU exists, I had completely forgotten about it haha. Here's a a dump of all the doodles I was doing for it!

Nothing super substantial so far, mostly loose designs whilst I tried to figure out who would be who, but hopefully, returning to my notes now, I can try make something actually finished for it!

Story wise, so far it's less of a beat for beat retelling of Nausicaa and more of a riff on the movie (using star wars stuff too ofc). I kinda split Nausicaa's role in two and gave it to both Luke and Ezra, although narratively Luke also sorta fills the role of Asbel. If I can actually get around to writing it i'm sure it would make more sense.

Oh yeah,,, and it's a little bit skybridger too (I can't help myself).

hello, dave filoni. it looks like you’ve been ignoring the canon thrawn trilogies in order to change thrawn’s character into something more similar to the heir to empire trilogy that is no longer canon. i’m sure this makes thrawn fans so happy. let’s play a game: you have six books in front of you…the thrawn trilogy and thrawn ascendency trilogy. you have one hour to read these and come up with an actual understanding of thrawn’s complex motivations and personality or you will be thrown into a sarlacc pit.

i'd be so interested in seeing the inner psyche of imperials who join the Rebellion and can no longer murder anyone who gets on their nerves. Kallus kicked a storm trooper to his death because he asked him if he'd seen a Jedi before. He killed Minister Tua because she wasn't being useful anymore.

Everyone in Imperial High command is constantly trying to kill each other and is just overall SADISTIC. Even Thrawn can be sadistic to people who aren't in the 7th Fleet and he's supposed to be the better of the Imperials.

even eli vanto wanted his death troopers to kill all the pirates around him because he was frustrated, which is an imperial thing to do.

violence is just incredibly acceptable in the Empire.

Like the work environment is just so interesting to me, that a transition would be an amazing exploration
