This is what hieroglyphs and figures in ancient Egyptian temples looked like before their colors faded. They were recreated using a polychromatic light display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, following thorough research.

it's all right. i have no friends.
Fatimah pauses in the swinging of her legs. Oh.
She'd asked if she could have a seat next to the man, having managed to overexert herself, but ended up yapping despite being nearly out of breath. She felt herself get carried away, apologized, and now this. His statement led to her staring at him in concern, even if she was in a similar boat.
"You want to go feed the ducks?" She blurts out, knowing it always made her feel better to have them recognize her. "They're pretty much my only friends, and well, they're nice."

dexter starters ( showtime’s dexter s2ep2.)
“ i finally get a chance to kill and i can’t do it.”
“ and now all my secrets are floating to the surface.”
“ how did i lose it? how do i find it again?”
“ how can i solve a crime when i can’t even solve what’s wrong with me?”
“ has a nice ring to it, no?”
“ last thing ___ needs is another serial killer.”
“ why don’t you take a picture? it’ll last longer.”
“ what would i do without you?”
“ grandma really talks like that?”
“ you get the point. right, bitch?”
“ fucking people don’t want our help.”
“ this stuff never gets to you?”
“ i’m more of a cry on the inside kinda guy.”
“ what? i’m so over that.”
“ just… prove it to me.”
“ it’s like you’re just fucking with me.”
“ couldn’t pick a worse time, right?”
“ hey, how about you take off? let me handle this.”
“ i couldn’t let you do that.”
“ i owe you.”
“ i can’t even go there.”
“ this one’s on us, man.”
“ i have to focus. tune everything out.”
“ timing could be better.”

“ hey! who want’s eggos? i got blueberry, or chocolate. or both.”
“ assholes! they did everything but help.”
“ which assholes were you talking to?”
“ i didn’t ask for your help, or your advice.”
“ i’ll never understand how people deal with death. why they can’t just… put it in it’s place.”
“ not exactly ideal in the element of surprise department.”
“ i have to find a new way to dispose of the body.”
“ you totally douched me in there.”
“ you clocked a guy in a bar who touched your arm…“
“ well, thank you for the fucking vote of confidence.”
“ hey. just visualize that door of opportunity opening up wide for you, bro, and just walk right through it.”
“ you keep up with this woo-woo shit, imma walk right through you.”
“ that come with a story?”
“ well, you should be more careful, amigo.”
“ they had to bring in outside talent. which would be moi.”
“ bet this guy never expected his work to see in the light of day.”
“ i bet you’re right.”
“ still, it can’t be easy to hide a body nowadays.”
“ you shittin’ me?”
“ hypothetical: how do you make sure disposed body stay disposed?”
“ don’t all those run the risk of contact with the outside world?”
“ you got a better idea?”
“ there is no such thing as the perfect crime. not in my experience, anyway.”
“ well, we have something in common.”
“ miss me?”
“ i need to clear the decks… and my head.”
“ they, uh… ate my puppy.”
“ you may have to get closer than you like.”
“ i’m doin’ enough damage on my own.”
“ that was a yes. sounded like a no, but… yeah.”
“ you scared the shit outta me.”
“ how you doin’?”
“ don’t! you fuckin’ asked… so, how am i doing? i’m just fine.”
“ come on, don’t get the shakes now. this is no time for performance anxiety.”
“ i’ve been waitin’ for you.”
“ come out, come out, wherever you are!”
“ what the hell is wrong with me?”
“ it’s okay, i got you.”
“ don’t leave me! please, don’t leave me!”
“ want me to knock out some doors? or maybe some heads?”
“ what fucking asshole left this here?”
“ it’s ‘special agent’ fucking asshole.”
“ frankly, you’re more of a leader than a team-player.”
“ i’m not convinced you play well with others.”
“ i feel like a jigsaw-puzzle missing a piece.”
“ i’ve been calling you for hours.”
“ i kinda pulled an all nighter.”
“ it’s, uh… it’s taking me to places i never thought i’d go.”
“ he was such a destructive force. why can’t you just put him behind you?”
“ i’m just gonna make you late.”
“ dammit, ___! i need you there too.”
“ you have no idea what this feels like.”
“ can’t wait to get another door slammed in my face.”
“ that’s it. put that out into the universe, alright?”
“ look on the bright side. comically, we’re batting a thousand.”
“ please, don’t shoot me, miss/mister.”
“ if i believed in god. if i believed in sin… this is the place where i’d be sucked straight to hell… if i believed in hell.”
“ i’m so sorry for your loss.”
“ i’m not sorry.”
“ you’re still here.”
“ i killed you.”
“ no. you just took my life.”
“ so how do i make you go away?”
“ i’m not like them.”
“ now, if it helps, i can tell you it’s not your fault, what you did to me.”
“ i’m not human.”
“ no. you’re just fucked up.”
“ you think it’s as simple as that?”
“ excuse me, i opened this by mistake.”
“ today it is all about the win. i think we really should enjoy this.”
“ i really appreciate your support.”
“ it was simple, really.”
“ all i had to do was put myself into the mind of a killer. hardly a stretch.”
“ trust me, you’re not going anywhere this time.”
“ who the fuck are you?”
“ that kind of talk is just gonna bring you closer to your victims.”
“ no, maybe you didn’t do the deed, but the blood is on your hands.”
“ a lot of blood is on your hands.”
“ why do you care about these people?”
“ why are you doing this to me?”
“ i’m not so much doing this to you as i’m doing it for me.”
“ you leave pain wherever you go.”
“ you kill me, what do you leave behind?”
“ look at that, steady as a surgeon.”
“ this kill was just the first of the loose ends i needed to tie off.”
“ i need to see you.”
“ i’m just dropping somebody off, can it wait?”
“ a shoe? you wanted to see me about a shoe?”
“ i didn’t have a lot to hope for until i met you.”
“ you gave me something to believe in when i didn’t even believe in myself.”
“ it’s not your fault.”
“ it was totally an act of impulse.”
“ what are you trying to say, that you planned on acting on impulse?”
“ that’s where you disappeared to at all hours of the night like clark fucking kent.”
“ if the eyes are the window to the soul, then grief is the door. as long as it’s closed, it’s the barrier between knowing and not knowing. walk away from it and it stays closed forever. but open it, and walk through it, and pain becomes truth.”
“ i’ve been preparing for this my entire life.”
“ it’s annoying, isn’t it?”
“ i’m not taking the bait.”
“ you’re up late.”
“ you don’t need to do this. you don’t need to do this now.”
“ temporary insanity.”
“ you’re right. i smell like a fucking sewer.”
“ i had to say goodbye in order to reconnect with what’s really important. with who i was.”
“ rest in peace… i am.”

redesigning your OC… more likely than you think…
I decided that some unique features would be fun to add, so I gave her an overbite and esotropia (a form of being crosseyed). Not much of a big difference, but I still felt the want to do it. ✨

PROMPTS FROM WICKED * assorted dialogue from the screenplay, adjust as necessary
it's good to see me, isn't it?
no need to respond. that was rhetorical.
because there has been so much rumor and speculation... innuendo, outuendo... let me set the record straight.
why does wickedness happen?
that's a good question.
like every family, they had their secrets.
one thing led to another, as it so often does.
i'm right here. i always will be.
you want to see something wonderful?
what have you done this time?
now you've made your sister cry.
you see... it couldn't have been easy.
as you can imagine, i have much to attend to.
is it true you were her friend?
you must understand, it was... a long time ago.
remember, it's not goodbye, it's farewell.
they're going to miss me so much.
you know what i believe? strangers are just people i've never met.
what? what are you staring at? do i have something in my teeth?
let's get this over with.
i for one am sorry that you're forced to live with this.
it's my intention to major in sorcery.
perhaps i could help.
offering to help someone you don't know with a skill you don't have. i'm sure everyone's duly impressed.
i could care less what other people think.
i doubt that's true.
i'll miss you.
if anything should happen to her...
you can of course come visit me whenever you want!
how tragically beautiful you are.
i just need to find my room.
this was my chance. my new start.
magic is merely the mind's attempt to wrap itself around the impossible.
i shall tutor you privately.
thank you for covering for me.
how long have you had this talent?
if you can learn to use your powers in the right way...
do you really think this is fair?
i'm just shutting the door.
i saved you some space, by the way.
how did you do it? tell me.
i can keep a secret.
some of us are different.
we cannot escape the past.
the past helps explain our present circumstances.
who is responsible for this?
it's all right. i have no friends.
once you learn to harness your emotions, the sky's the limit.
this is much bigger than just some words on a chalkboard.
is this how you go through life, running amok, nearly trampling anyone in your path?
i guess there's a first time for everything.
were you looking for something? or someone?
i met the rudest person last night.
what do you do for fun around here?
i would do anything for you.
it was nothing. i love helping others.
i'm about to have the happiest night of my life!
i don't follow.
what's in the punch?
i don't feel sorry for you! you're great!
my personal opinion is that you do not have what it takes.
i hope you prove me wrong. i doubt you will.
i can't watch.
it's not like it's your fault.
may i cut in?
that was your very first party?
you tell me a secret.
you really don't have to do that.
i can't wear things like that anyway.
pink goes good with green.
i'm afraid it's out of our hands.
you're not being told the whole story.
somebody's got to do something!
you think i'm really stupid, don't you.
you don't need to be scared of me.
you think i want to be this way?
so i should just keep my mouth shut? is that what you're saying?
you're bleeding.
this is your chance to make good.
i've heard so much about you.
i am changing my name.
don't you cry. you're going to have the wonderfullest time.
something bad is happening to them. they need you.
what did i tell you?
you've known all along... from the moment you met me.
you must trust me.
that's why i need you.
i meant every word about you having a home here.

“this is how you greet me?” fatimah stares him down, as if she was in any way intimidating. her next words are in a hushed hiss, a contrast to the puppy dog eyes she was about to flash him. “i invite you to see the exhibit and this is how you greet me? mauga, can you please promise me you’ll keep your hands off of them? take stuff from the gift shop if you want…but these are important to me! if you have any questions, however, i’ll be more than happy to answer them.”
if she didn’t know any better, she’d have her face and hands pressed up against the glass, admiring objects she’d seen a thousand times. instead, she sighs, watching them adoringly from a safe distance. “please don’t get me in trouble…”
like this for a canon one-liner from your favourite 'loose cannon' ♡

𓂀𓋹𓆣 Biography.𓂀𓋹𓆣
BASICS:
Name: Fatimah El-Sayed, فاطمة الصيد
Aliases / Nicknames: Dr. El-Sayed, Professor El-Sayed, King Tut
Age / Birthday: 19-21
Height: 5'6"
Gender / Pronouns: Female, she/her
Orientation: Bisexual
Occupation: Egyptologist, professor
commission by: JackSimoneArt on Etsy !
NOTABLE PHYSICAL TRAITS:
Visage: Tanned skin, dark brown eyes. Head is usually kept shaven for aesthetic / personal fashion purposes. Average height. Has an overbite.
Posture/Gait: Generally good posture, doesn't slouch unless exhausted. Walks with assistance from a cane, moderate pace unless walking long distances (she'd have to take short rests).
Dress/Fashion: Enjoys wearing flowy and loose-fitting fabrics. Wears a headscarf as an accessory, pairing it to her outfits. Likes to wear jewelry, such as earrings and bracelets. Her arms and legs are notably wrapped in order to prevent scratching or picking of her skin.
NOTABLE MENTAL TRAITS:
Motivations: Proving her worth, educating others, and the sheer enjoyment she gets from her job.
Fears: Losing freedom and the ability to make her own decisions, not being a competent professor, and being stuck under someone's permanent watch/command.
Likes: Sunshine, ducks, fruit, Ancient Egypt, learning.
Dislikes: Rain, how unlucky she is, pushy, forceful, and overly commanding people, the immense and near-constant pressure to perform well.
Hobbies: Going to museums, zoos, and aquariums, feeding ducks, going to parks, collecting rubber ducks, making jewelry, reading.
Personality: Seemingly wise beyond her years, Fatimah has been described as being mature for her age, even with her natural sense of curiosity. Despite being quite mild-mannered, she is usually under immense amounts of stress with the impression that she has to upkeep a reputation and impress others. She is fiercely independent, disliking the idea of working under someone instead of with them. She doesn't like being coddled or pitied. Unfortunately, she seems to find herself with terrible luck despite her achievements...small little things seem to pile up, such as tripping over a lace and spilling coffee, groceries falling out the bottom of the bag, etc. Every so often, however, she feels her luck increase. She's not sure what the cause of it is, but she's not complaining! It's a silver lining she can look forward to on occasion.
Disorders: Bipolar I disorder with psychosis, autism. More context/important notes here.
ABILITIES / POWERS: The Mummy's Curse, as it is called, is a collection of abilities that Fatimah uses during an episode. She does not have access to these powers unless she believes she is Tut. Many effects have been witnessed, such as a swarm of scarabs, a chosen victim immediately falling ill, and a victim being tightly wrapped in what appeared to be linen (much like a mummy). It has been said that staring into the eyes of Fatimah--or at least into the mask she wears, resembling the golden funerary mask of Tut--during this time causes a sensation of dread and fear. Those who survive unscathed may not be for much longer--there are lasting effects on the living that seem to be determined by Fatimah's mentality at the time. The higher the stress and the more manic she is, the more devastating the outcome.
The Curse is Fatimah's one defense, as she does not have physical strength nor fighting experience to back her up. In such cases that she is interrupted or caught; she is either flighty or bold enough to inflict consequences on whoever dared to show up.
BACKSTORY:
Fatimah El-Sayed was known to be rather intelligent ever since she was a child, favoring history and literature. She was a quick learner, picking up reading and writing faster than her peers. She gained a reputation for being a voracious reader with plenty of curiosity, tending to ask questions about nearly any subject under the sun. Her favorite, however, was Ancient Egypt, a topic important to her due to her Egyptian heritage.
The bright girl was perhaps a bit of a recluse for most of her younger years, finding enjoyment in solitude instead of making friends, but as she grew older, she seemed to open up more to company. She especially enjoyed sharing information she'd learned from her own studies, but she also enjoyed learning from others, too. Swapping facts was a fun time for her.
Fatimah entered college early, deciding to major in Egyptology and practically flying through the curriculum in record time. The profession was intriguing, as new discoveries happened even now, with archaeological digs, updated hieroglyph translations, and the discovery of the hidden identities of mummies. She worked towards getting her doctorate, writing a thesis on female pharaohs, and started to teach classes after graduation.
Occasionally, she herself would get involved with archaeological digs and other research, which is what led her to Gotham. An exhibit that she helped put together was being showcased in the city's history museum, and with it, she was offering tours and lectures. It is around the age of 19 that she first started to experience the symptoms of bipolar disorder, chalking it up to stress and the changes she'd recently experienced. She'd made a big move, and Gotham had been a particularly stressful environment. It even seemed her bad luck had gotten even worse.
First came the feeling of bugs crawling under the skin, causing her to scratch madly at herself. Then came the feeling of being watched. No matter where she'd be or hide away, there was the sensation of eyes on her. Then came the voices, and with the voices came The Curse.
With The Curse came The Belief. Fatimah found herself believing she was the Pharoah Tutankhamun, guided by the voices she heard. Anyone who was unfortunate enough to cross paths with King Tut could be struck by The Curse, which seemed to give the poor recipient bad luck. The consequences could be anything from just minor inconveniences to near-perilous accidents to death itself.
As time went on, Fatimah's doings were discovered and reported on. The papers, the news, word of mouth... all talking about a Mummy's Curse. She's caught wind of it, too, as it's impossible not to with something so bizarre. It's just her luck that she's tangled up in such a mess... why did Gotham have to be this way?

𓂀𓋹𓆣 Rules.𓂀𓋹𓆣
INTRO: Hello! I’m Ramone, 24, they/them. Ancient Egypt has been a special interest of mine since childhood, as has Bat.man/D.C comics in general (I grew up with some cartoons). I enjoy creating original interpretations of villains/rogues from the Bat.man series, as it lets me play around with different perspectives and outcomes. You may have seen me from my various other blogs, such as sifonie, joque, and bonesmade! Fatimah here is another example of my original interpretation collection, and I hope you find her fun to interact with, as I’ve put personal knowledge/interest and research into crafting her.
IMPORTANT NOTES/DISCLAIMERS: I am not writing Kin.g Tu.t himself. I do not write rpf (real person fiction). Fatimah only believes she is him when she experiences an episode of psychosis. I have two degrees (and 6 years of experience) in psychology, meaning that I have put care and research into creating her. Still, I may get things wrong at times due to me not having personal experience with bipolar I disorder nor psychosis. If I write something that seems incorrect/harmful, please let me know politely and I will absolutely correct myself. I am open to listening to others about their experiences. I am aware of the stereotype that people who experience psychosis are violent. That belief is actually false and is usually an argument used against people with mental illness in order to harm them.
That being said, please read these notes here in addition to her biography/about page. They go in depth about her bipolar I disorder, and I thought it’d be important to discuss specifically what her symptoms are/how it affects her, as it is something that will come up in interactions.
This blog is 21+. Minors do not interact. Personals do not interact unless you have a roleplay sideblog. Please communicate that you have a sideblog with me if it is not linked somewhere that I can easily find it. Do not reblog threads that you are not a part of. Do not reblog my headcanons if they do not relate to your character nor steal any of my content.
GENERAL: Do not rush me for replies. Roleplay is a hobby, not a job. This is a mindset I extend to my writing partners as well. I would rather wait for a reply than have my partner feel forced and rushed, which can lead to burnout. A reminder or two is welcome, however, if you feel I've overlooked our thread. My goal for roleplay is to make friends, have good, lasting ooc/ic connections, and have fun creating stories with people.
GODMODDING/COMMUNICATION: While Fatimah does have powers/abilities, any major or disastrous effects will be discussed with the writing partner. I do not want to godmod, nor do I want anyone else to do so with me. Let's discuss major fights/injuries/death before they happen!! That being said, I want to foster open communication. Please tell me if I've overstepped or crossed a boundary, if I have gotten something wrong about your muse, or if I have upset you otherwise. I would prefer to talk it out so that I can correct my behavior for the future. I can misread tone over text on occasion, so if I ask for a clarification, I am trying to understand what you are saying better. Muse does not equal mun and vice versa.
ACTIVITY: My activity is slow and can vary per week/month depending on my life circumstances. I am currently looking for a job, which will be full-time, so that will take up some of my time. I also struggle with mental illness of my own, so I may not have energy or motivation to be on and writing. Please don't take any periods of inactivity personally, I may just be having a rough month or am catching up on other blogs of mine. My muse level can vary, but I find that keeping up ooc conversations about a muse keeps them high muse and active. Again, please don't rush or pressure me for replies. Please do not guilt me if I only have energy to answer asks or short things for a period of time.
INTERACTIONS/FORMATTING: I adore asks/memes and like to use them as icebreakers or to get interactions started. Send as many as you'd like and don't be scared to send some. My slowness does not equal disinterest. Plotting is optional, as I know it can be difficult to do off the bat if some muses aren't from the same franchise/fandom. However, I do try my best to plot when the time comes and find it enjoyable when muses really click. I would like to plot any action-heavy threads, just so I can have a bit of an idea of how to approach the situation. It doesn't have to be in-depth, but a little guidance is beneficial to me.
I do not use icons, just bolds/italics and sometimes small text to match the formatting of whoever I'm writing with. I do not do any special spacing or colored text.
TRIGGERS: Triggers that may be found on this blog include descriptions and depictions of mental illness, as well as violence/death/murder. These will all be tagged to the best of my ability. If I am unsure of how to tag something, I try to use 'ask to tag' so anyone may approach me with specifics. I do read rules and make note of any triggers I see there, but please reach out if I have missed a tag.
My triggers include pregnancy, suggestive/smutty content, and chainmail messages.
SHIPPING: Fatimah's age range is 19-21, therefore I will not romantically ship her with anyone older than 25. I will not ship her with anyone under 18, either. Other ships are game, such as familial, platonic, enemies, etc. If you have a dynamic you want to write, please come to me with it! I'd love to try things out.
Smut or suggestive content (as she is an adult) may or may not happen depending on my comfort level and if I have any romantic ships or not. If it does happen, it will be tagged with usfw tw and usfw if smut, and suggestive and suggestive tw if anything suggestive. I do not mind writing it, despite it being listed as a trigger above, because I can control what I write and set boundaries/can consent to what I am seeing.

𓂀𓋹𓆣 Important Notes/Context. 𓂀𓋹𓆣
OVERVIEW OF BIPOLAR I DISORDER AND PSYCHOSIS: Bipolar disorder (BD) is a disorder characterized by extreme mood swings that tend to cycle between mania (emotional highs) and depression. They can occur multiple times a year and can last several days, and between episodes, some people have long periods of emotional stability. These mood swings can affect sleep, energy, activity, judgment, behavior and the ability to think clearly.
One symptom of BD is mania. Mania is a condition in which someone has a period of abnormally elevated, extreme changes in their mood or emotions, energy level or activity level. It is an obvious change in a person's demeanor and is usually noticeable by others. Some people with Bipolar I disorder can experience psychosis when manic. Psychosis is the term for a collection of symptoms that happen when a person has trouble telling the difference between what’s real and what’s not. Two important types of psychosis include hallucinations and delusions.
Hallucinations are when parts of your brain mistakenly act like they would if your senses (vision, hearing, touch, smell and taste) picked up on something actually happening. An example of a hallucination is hearing voices that aren’t there (auditory hallucination).
Delusions are false beliefs that someone holds onto very strongly, even when others don’t believe them or there’s plenty of evidence that a belief isn't true. For example, people with delusions of control believe someone is controlling their thoughts or actions remotely.
Another symptom of BD is depression, also known as a major depressive episode. Depression is a condition that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. During these episodes, symptoms occur most of the day, nearly every day.
HOW FATIMAH EXPERIENCES IT:
When Fatimah experiences mania, she has the following symptoms:
Being more active and agitated than usual. She is prone to becoming more irritable.
Needing less sleep than usual.
Having a distorted view of herself, usually in the form of being too self-confident.
Making poor decisions. This will be expanded on below, but she is more willing to use her mummy's curse when she is in a manic episode. She becomes more impulsive.
When Fatimah experiences depression, she has the following symptoms:
Having a depressed mood, which includes feeling sad, empty, or helpless.
Sleeping too much.
Having a hard time concentrating or making decisions.
Feeling worthless and guilty.
A marked loss of interest or pleasure in her favorite things or hobbies.
Losing energy faster than usual and acting slower than usual.
Fatimah, when having a psychotic episode, experiences delusions and hallucinations.
Fatimah experiences auditory and tactile hallucinations. Fatimah's auditory hallucinations are in the form of voices. She does not see who is speaking but can hear them as if they are present in the room with her. She tends to hear two different voices. One is Tut's advisor, Ay, who can be somewhat benevolent. He tends to give her simple commands and helps guide her on occasion. The other one is Tut's father, Akhen.aten, who is more malevolent. He tends to talk about her instead of to her and belittles her.
Sometimes the two voices talk to each other, usually negatively about Fatimah. They tend to goad her on or bully her. Her crimes are committed in an effort to impress the voices or quiet them. The voices do not tell her to become violent, she chooses to do so in order to showcase her power and ability to be a "strong ruler" to them. These voices are a manifestation of her stress, and the pressure put on her to perform well in life.
Fatimah's tactile hallucinations are in the form of bugs crawling on her. She tends to wrap her arms and legs so that she can repress the urge to scratch or pick at her skin. This hallucination is not as common as the auditory one. She may also feel like she is being watched when she hears the voices, a feeling she despises.
Fatimah experiences a type of delusion called grandiose delusions, or delusions of grandeur. People who experience delusions of grandeur may believe they are famous, God-like, wealthy, powerful, talented, or gifted in some other way. In Fatimah's case, she believes she is Kin.g T.ut. She may "recall" anecdotes of her life, which are created around the identity she believes she has. They are also false beliefs.
DO'S AND DON'T'S: When Fatimah experiences a psychotic episode, it is best to not argue or try to show her evidence that she is not her believed identity. She has trouble discerning what's real or not and can feel afraid or frustrated when others don’t seem to understand or believe her, which may cause anger and isolation. Remember: these delusions and hallucinations are real to her. Making her feel trapped or threatened can worsen how she feels.
Staying calm and not arguing with her are the best ways to help her, as well as offering to take her to quieter place / a place with not too many stimuli. Fatimah does not understand or realize that she has a disorder. She does feel strange and different from other people, but she believes that it is just because of her bad luck.
