Jason “my family doesn’t know im alive” Todd and Danny “my family doesn’t know I’m dead” Fenton going alongside each of their plans my beloved. like Danny will absolutely go head-to-head with all of Gotham to support his new best friend on all his crime lord endeavors while he drags Jason to also attend collage with him. They are roommates and there never seems to a mention of family from either side. It’s an unspoken understanding they have. They met because Crime alley as a ghost lair thrummed with so much loneliness, it was at first the perfect place for Danny to hide his ecto signature in. But then he saw the dumbass whose lair it was lean his motorcycle just a tad too much when making a sharp turn to an alley, he sweeped the floor through a lifted chain link that passed his body but not his helmet. Yep that’s right the red thing got stuck. Danny who at the moment happened to be watching through his window snorted. Much to his horror because if not a ghost that dude could’ve gotten his head flung off.

Still, the scene was ridiculous.

On a whim he irrationally sees the police closing in on the guy and panicked at the thought of the guy using intangibility to free himself so Danny phased them both through his apartment wall and left the guy sprawled in his couch. Jason didn’t freak out but that’s normal when one’s got a concussion, one the guy immediately denied having as Danny laid out the medical supplies. The idiot proceeded to almost flatten four steps to the door with his stubbornness. He also said “I’m asexual” in the most deadpan voice as Danny dropped him back in the couch.

Danny sighed. Clearly though, he’d done so too early in the night because the guy kept trying to go, kept trying to knock Danny out, kept trying to slash him with knifes Danny didn’t know he had stashed. He’d only disarmed the guy from his guns. The visible ones apparently, cause at one point the guy did take out a gun and shoot until the ammo ran out and then teetered the thing like it was an art prop and hit his moon lamp.

Danny "yeah you aren’t officially my friend until you’ve tried to kill me" fenton my guys.

Anyways both keep having the same argument over if Danny technically kidnapped Jason or not. Danny holds the fact that the police at least didn’t see the guy make the ridicule. Jason argued that happened cause he was sporting a concussion. Danny argued he got that after.

Jason at first thinks the guy's a meta, but no. Danny introduces himself, sheepily now that he recognizes this is who the lair he invaded is from. He bandages him and tries to cook for him. If Danny didn’t have ice powers he most certainly would’ve burned the apartment. Jason then proceeds to kick him out of his own kitchen and make them both enchiladas. It’s the most normal both had in a while with another person and the air seems oddly settled. From then on, Jason constantly invited himself over, under the pretense that this was his territory and therefore he could drop in unannounced. Danny who has actual powers says he only allows this because Jason cooks very well.

Danny stays away from the crime fighting business unless his buddy is in deep shit he can’t get himself out. Also it’s Danny’s turn to cover for his vigilante friend which Sam and Tucker give him so much shit for. (but also advice)

And they were roommates. (omg) Danny effectively derails Jason’s big comeback plans by casually dropping ghost lore every two days. Like,

Jason, talking about how he doesn’t want Bats snooping on his territory:

Danny: Just don’t let them in

Jason: ??

Danny: yeah!! Hasn’t Batman died and got revived??? You can totally kick out death touched people you don’t want entering on your lair.

Jason: …I can?

Danny: Yep dude, your lair’s supposed to feel safe.

Jason: wait does that mean I can kick you out?

Danny: First this is my apartment. Second, im dead, not dead touched. Third, it’s too late to get rid of me. bitch.

Anyways Jason is super excited. You mean to tell him he can actually deny people over to his territory haunt?? (Yes it’s only to people who have died and came back but still!! The sample size is exactly the type of people he doesn’t want to see—!)

Joker my beloathed can’t step foot in Crime Alley.

(Jason’d feel a lot safer if the clown was dead but the possibility of his murderer turning into a ghost and their little loophole not applying on the clown is too scary to contemplate.)

Anyways, Jason loves experimenting with the power. It can go from simply making people shudder and not want to enter crime Alley to straight up not letting them enter like there’s an invisible wall blocking the way.

Jason because he’s hurt that Bruce never even patrols Crime Alley and also because he’s petty put B under the category of “invisible wall” blacklist. His reasoning is that the man doesn’t even attempt to enter Crime Alley. To him it’s surely just a place shadowed in tragedy. (anyways that’s it’s the place he met Jason)

Ironically, Jason totally forgets that Batman does venture into Crime Alley one day in the whole year. The day he met Jason.

Okay. He didn’t forget at first. The first year Jason remembers cause it was only a few months till then but then the next— Jason forgets that today’s the anniversary of the day’s Bruce’s parents died. He forgets to allow B in when he feels a slight tug and dismiss the feeling that prompts Bruce to investigate because he literally can’t enter Crime Alley. He starts the trialsTM, he scouts on the very edge and sees people the whole day enter and get out and cross with no problem but Bruce can’t.

It’s literally just Bruce.

Time to call Constantine, i guess.

For the Laicion nation (aka, me and three other people)

I had this illustration commissioned (a big thank you to @lunehowls) for my werewolf AU Laicion fic (still a WIP).

The general pitch is as follows :

AU in which Laios never got to meet his sister again, putting his life on a whole other path, a more desperate one. A military deserter with barely a coin to his name, Laios hitches a ride on a boat to one of the elven continents, where he learns about magical tattoos that binds one’s soul to a wolf’s, effectively making them artificial werewolves. Illegal magic be damned, this feels like the answer to… everything.

In the process, he learns about the existence of an illegal fighting ring in one of the elven cities, where beastmen gladiators gather. Freshly tattooed and without anywhere else to go to, Laios decides to head there, where he meets Lycion, an elf and artificial werewolf gladiator. If they first bond over a simple shared meal, by spending time together (sharing the same room in the barracks, maybe the same bed? gasp) they find that they have a lot in common, notably a shared distaste for the body they were born in, a dysphoria partially remedied by becoming a werewolf.

They bond :)

it isn't a secret that tsukishima kei struggles with intimacy. in all of his relationships, he likes to take it slow. if it's too fast for his liking, he'd pull the brakes immediately. he's scared, he's uncomfortable, he hates it. that's probably why none of them work out in the end.

then tsukishima meets you, and for once everything becomes so natural. his hand may be sweaty, but it fits perfectly with yours. his heart may be racing, but he feels at home with your arms around him. his mind may blank out, but he knows that he could spend all his waking hours having your lips on his. it's foreign, but it's welcomed.

he was only supposed to walk you back home after your date and yet, tsukishima finds himself caught in a heated kiss with you at your door. he's wanting to be closer to you, and even though he's literally pressing up against you, it's not enough. you've gotten him so whipped for you and he doesn't even know how.

"um, would you like to... come in?" you ask when you pull away, your cheeks a gorgeous shade of red. his instincts are yelling at him again to come up with an excuse, run and never contact you again, reasoning with him that he isn't ready. maybe he isn't. however, this time he silences all the noise in his head, because one thing's for sure: he wants you.

kei doesn't believe in soulmates. it's an absurd idea, and he can't wrap his head around it. despite that though, when your clothes lay on the floor and you're coming undone together, he thinks that maybe, just maybe, this was exactly meant to be from the start.

Something something about renting and leases and being single v home ownership and endgame relationships and that owning only goes well if it’s as a couple.

Buck - renting his loft and is about to be subletting Eddie’s house

Bathena own their home (well the land at the moment but the previous house was owned and the new one will be)

Henren own their home

Madney we’re both renting but moved into a owned home when they came back together (I guess technically we don’t know if Chim owned or rented his apartment but the fact the buckleys provided the down payment on the new house implies he was renting)

And then we have Eddie - who owned the house into Paso when he was married to Shannon but is renting a house in LA but who is now seemingly buying a house in El Paso while subletting his LA rental house. And that’s kind of wild - because he will be both owning and technically renting at the same time.

But he’s buying a fixer upper and it’s being heavily implied by the subtext of the show and the interviews that fixing it up is not going to go well - that it’s going to cause problems - because he’s trying to do it alone rather than in an endgame relationship.

And it’s something to do with trying to recreate some version his life in El Paso - what he had with Shannon there because her ghost is still haunting the narrative (I will laugh if they go down the road of having Eddie’s house be haunted but Eddie won’t contemplate that because he doesn’t believe) all while technically still being tied to LA - representing his singleness.

And I think that is very interesting

Jaw-dropping performance of "Steamroller Blues" (1974)

The audio comes from the March 20, 1974 concert in Memphis, TN, but the footage is what I'm referring to now. It also comes from 1974 (either in May or one of the following months that year, because it was when Elvis introduced us the Blue Swirl suit). Anyway, right at the initial notes, he didn't even sing a damn word, the fans screamed at the way he moved sharply in sync with the beat… my reaction simultaneous, eyes wide and jaw slack. WOW! Just WOW!!!

My new concept for my bank holiday weekend is to make a patchwork kilt

I really like how kilts sit and hang on me but there are several issues:

No pockets (except the sporran but a) most actual sporran pouches literally won't fit my phone let alone anything else and b) if you dance in a sporran with any heavy items in it bangs you in the crotch every time you jump or spin)

Too warm. Serious kilts are definitionally made of tightly woven wool which I simply. Will always overheat in in any weather above 0°C.

Not tumble-dryable I mean they might be but they're super expensive so I don't wanna find out

Cosplay-Scot. I live in Scotland but have an English accent. Cannot be seen to be a tourist who's just been to a tartan tat shop. Gotta have a punked up option. I have a utilikilt that I like but it doesn't fit as flexibly as a traditional kilt (no buckles) and was also made for someone less caked-up than me so it only falls to like. mid-thigh. instead of below the knee.

obviously I have to make my own kilt. unfortunately a kilt is like. 7m of fabric and that's speny and also hard to pick a fabric for

SO, the concept is that I

Collect a bunch of light flannel check shirts in colours that look nice together (charity shop trawl this weekend)

Cut them up and sew them together into a hemmed 6m rectangle, potentially weighting the lower hem with canvas/denim to help it hang

Iron and sew in pleats around all but the last 50cm

Add the front panel (probably black canvas not patchwork) and a rolled lining on the waistband out of light black gabardine..

Add buckle straps on both ends made of black strapping with eyelets, and buckles to the sides. also use the strapping to add D rings and carabiner loops around the band.

make pockets on caribiners that can hook up the sides, and one on a chain to hang sporran-style in the middle. maybe one of the pockets is a cane pouch - had a clipon one on a previous skirt but I made it with pleather and the hooks tore out after a year or so. this time I will use heavy canvas.

I want to pattern it on this one that Sam inherited from his granddad which fits great on me (...after someone in the past extended the strap...)

so I will copy the pleat pattern and band and just make it from lighter fabric and sew in the pleats as well as pressing them.
