happy to report that it does, in fact, exclude ravi! a ravi snippet isn’t currently planned, but an excellent idea actually… maybe a little companion fic… we shall see!!

here’s a little snippet with more ravi anyway, set slightly before the previous bit:

Somehow, this leads to them standing in front of the city hall with Ravi, fresh off a B-shift because the little fucker refuses to believe them that Gerrard is truly, finally, completely gone and A-shift is safe again, who’s chugging black coffee and looks like he’s either going to cry or fall asleep. Maybe both.

“Okay,” Ravi says slowly, “so you’re getting married to scam Buck’s family.”

“It’s not a scam,” Buck says indignantly. Like, okay, this probably isn’t what his grandmother meant for him to do, but none of the conditions say anything other than married. He thinks. He’s actually not sure, but he’s just gonna assume here, okay?

“It’s kind of a scam,” Eddie says, much more calmly. He sticks his hands in his pockets and leans back. “But Buck’s family – with the exception of Maddie – is pretty awful, and we don’t want the money to go to them. This way, he gets it.”

“But you’re not together.” Ravi stares at them. He’s making this sound really important. Buck doesn’t get it. “Like, you’re not dating. You’re not in love. You’re only doing this for the money.”

“Pretty much,” Buck says, because not in love isn’t a train of thought that gets him anywhere productive, like, ever, and he has plans for today. “But to get the money, we have to go to the reunion, and Maddie and Chimney will be there. And since Chimney can’t keep a secret-”

“-and our friends can’t keep secrets from Chimney-”

“-we can’t tell any of them. But you’re still on the B-shift,” you traitor, Buck adds in his head, but they kind of do need Ravi’s help, so he doesn’t want to antagonise him too much, “so we can tell you, which means that you can be our witness.”

Buck smiles. Eddie smiles.

Ravi, for reasons unbeknownst to Buck, doesn’t smile.

“Don’t they provide witnesses?” Ravi finally asks.

“They cost twenty dollars extra,” Eddie says for the third time that day. “I’m not paying twenty bucks for that shit.”

“If I pay the twenty bucks, can I go home?” Ravi asks.

Buck decides not to answer and just grabs him by the elbow and drags him into the building. Eddie hurries ahead of him to hold the door open.

(Belatedly) celebrating the one-year anniversary of the 'Destiny Bond' comic with a rare, fully-illustrated piece. A bit of extra context and rambly thoughts under the cut 🫶💖💕

A little over a year ago, I posted the first part of the Destiny Bond comic, originally intended to be a one-off doodle exploring the consequences of Morty's prophetic abilities on his relationship with Eusine.

That sketchy doodle of mine ended up being a whole narrative project spanning across a few months, before I eventually took a pause on it to focus on my mental health (having reached a low earlier in the year).

It was a daring enough project in and of itself, especially with how I had spontaneously taken it on when I was still recovering from a years-long burnout with 2D art. Though (temporarily) stopping sooner than I had hoped, I can confidently say that this little comic project of mine had helped to rekindle my love for drawing as a whole, and had further lead me to meeting some of the most wonderful people and friends in this small corner of the Pokémon fandom (whom also happen to be obsessed with these two silly guys from the GSC/HGSS games). It's a project I hold dearly to my heart, and one that I hope to revisit and continue once I feel ready to do so; as the story has yet to truly kick off (I'm not even joking we're still in the prologue technically I'm yelling /lh).

I hope to be able to share the rest of this story with you all one day, in whatever new form it'll take as. For now, I want to say thank you, from the deepest parts of my heart, for supporting this passion project of mine - and to assure you to tune in for the future of this title. 👀✨

i've dropped old drafts and asks ( mainly older than september, but more may follow ) that i had no muse for; this kind of thing just has to be done occasionally, but please don't be deterred from interacting if i've dropped things you sent/we were writing together! a lack of inspiration does not equal a lack of interest. this just means we get to try again and write new scenarios together!

the other major thing to be aware of is the rule i added! feel free to take a look at the page if you need to refresh your memory overall, but to avoid making you read through everything, i'm placing the added rule below. i want to stress that this is not directed at anyone as it's something i've always struggled with, especially as i become anxious when i approach others for one on one chats. i appreciate your understanding <3

before liking any plotting calls that i do post, please have a dynamic or plot already in mind as well as a muse or small selection of muses you would like to write against chiyo. your ideas do not have to be fleshed-out -- that's what plotting is for! but it's really important that you do this because i get overwhelmed when these choices are placed mostly on me by multiple people. i'm willing to be flexible if you have a dynamic in mind but can't choose a muse or vice versa, but if you have nothing to offer whatsoever, please understand that i may not message back.

Rather than trying to work on where I am currently at in The Perfect Storm, I am instead working on things which fall further down the line!! Let's just say that there is a fanfiction trope which I absolutely adore, and I will be using it for Elyse and Balgruuf hehehe... It's been something I have had planned out from almost the very beginning!!

Balgruuf exhaled and ran his hands down his face as he finally sat down at his desk. He had most certainly never expected the meeting to end with that consensus, but if it got both the Empire and the Stormcloaks to stop breathing down his neck about allegiances... It surely had to be worth it. At the same time, he was incredibly relieved that they hadn’t settled on Elyse’s suggestion. Just because it had worked once did not mean that it would work again. There was something about that idea which made his stomach churn and his blood run cold – he didn’t like it in the slightest.

“Um... Now that everyone else has gone...” Elyse whispered from where she was sat, looking nervous as she fidgeted with her fingers. “How do you honestly feel about this plan?”

He looked at her for a moment, before pursing his lips together and folding his arms over. “I would probably have to admit that I am uncertain. I do not know what to think about it, even if the logic is sound.”

For a moment, she was quiet, then nodded. “That’s understandable...” She then let out her breath, and closed her eyes. “I’m scared.”

“You’re-? Elyse, why are you scared?” He rose from his seat and moved to the other one at the opposite side of his desk, the one which was beside her. “You know that we do not have to-��

“I- I think it’s because I don’t know what to expect and it goes against how I usually try to handle things. This isn’t just politics, it’s politics mixed in with... all sorts. And this doesn’t just impact the two of us, it will have an impact on everyone around us.” She inhaled, her body trembling slightly. “Plus you know that I- That I like to handle problems on my own, if I can... But it’s not an option this time. This isn't just something that affects me.”

Her eyes widened and body grew stiff for a moment when he reached out and clasped her hands within his. “We will get through this, Elyse. Together.”

i literally cannot wait until there is actually other life sim games like the sims that are actually publicly available to play!!! like Tiny Life is out now and i do definitely want to play it but... come 2024 we might have Life by You and perhaps Vivaland in our hands... also i am Really Really awaiting Paralives as well i am PRAYING for a release date to be announced. like i will exercise as much patience as i can but tbh ts4 is depriving me (i only have base game + my first pet stuff + desert luxe kit so i dont have 95% of the gameplay i want .) and i would love to just be able to have something else to play too??
