So I went to the dentist yesterday

(it's really funny because I've had a note on my file for YEARS that says my jaw pops (mostly so it doesn't freak whichever hygienist out), but it's normally not too loud/ I'm able to move my jaw just enough while they're cleaning my teeth that they don't notice it too much. but when I went to demonstrate it for the dentist it was one of the loudest it's ever been lol. And their faces immediately after that was so funny I had to draw it.

He asked me if i wanted a specialist recommended, but I said that it usually didn't bother me, and he said he'd go ahead and put a note on my file in case I ever change my mind. And maybe I will once I actually get insurance figured out with my job.)

So I know I shouldn't be getting any knowledge from TV or movies but I feel like they are way over dramatic about root canals. My endodontist was very nice and kept checking in with me and it was no worse than getting a filling in. In fact it was better because I don't have to go without using a straw for a few days.

I'm such an idiot sometimes. I was so distracted by ch205 and blogging about it that I dumped my samples down the sink instead of splitting them between two sets of centrifuge tubes. I'll have to reprep the whole batch, since the part I dumped out was the barium, which could have been reingrown, if I'd somehow messed up the yttrium instead. 😔

Oh well. I'll drop another batch tomorrow and get some other stuff done, too. I'll reprep this lost batch on Friday.

Today, all I can do now is get weights on the batch I did yesterday, crunch the numbers, do some data entry, etc. before I leave early for a dentist's appointment. This evening I'm seeing Peter Gabriel in concert.

Off to lunch now... and back to ch205.... 🤷🏻‍♀️

So great news, after like 4 days of hell the initial SSRI jitters finally calmed down, and I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or the meds but I'm suddenly feeling much calmer than usual, so here's hoping

The bad news is that on the first day of Calm™ I immediately chipped a tooth and have no real way of getting to a dentist due to my chronic illness. Can I just have like, 5 minutes of piece please 😭
