Very sporadically active, taking short and long hiatuses. Life is a chore we must all go through, and mine is filled with unplanned circumstances followed by heavy workloads. Muses and motivation come and go as well, so all that is required to interact with me is massive patience and empathy.

On another note, I have listed muses that I had high muse for on my carrd, so PLEASE look into it and try to send in interactions for muses with that label only UNLESS you are willing to wait until I have motivation to write the muse you want to interact with. Throughout, more or less muses will be placed on HIGH MUSE, so please take a peek every now and then to see which muses I have on HIGH MUSE. Thank you.

This blog contains mature, adult && dead dove content. I will do my best to tag triggers && nsfw but as someone who doesn't get triggered easily, I may not always tag them. Please feel free to reach out if you want me to tag a specific trigger. This does not mean you should harass me if something that I write is not to your liking. You should already know what you're signing up for from reading the rules, and if you do not respect that, I will block you.

Nsfw stuff will ALWAYS go under a readmore. Other triggering subjects may or may not go under a readmore, but they will ALWAYS be tagged accordingly. I personally have trouble writing nsfw sexual stuff to begin with, so don't expect a lot of that going around.

Feel free to send memes that I post or unprompted asks. The more interactions we have, the more willing I will be to turn the chemistry between muses into a ship AS LONG AS IT'S LEGAL. Will NOT be shipping with any minor muses, that should be obvious. Ooc interaction is just as important as ic, so please do not hesitate to reach out to chit chat.

Concerning plots, please DO NOT insert your muses ( canon or ocs ) into my muses' lores without talking to me about it first. I do not like having to rewrite an entire backstory just to squeeze in your version. I am more than willing to accommodate for easier plotting, but PLEASE TALK TO ME FIRST.

I am a multishipper ( ex. one muse of mine can be shipped with multiple others in different universes, so it's not considered "cheating" ). However, this does NOT mean that I will be shipping with someone who already has a ship with someone else who shares the same muse as me. I feel more comfortable that way, and I don't want there being some form of confusion and/or jealousy.

Also I am multiverse, so if you want to interact with a muse from a different franchise from your muse, no problem! Just reach out and we can talk about it.

I mainly write these muses as someone who snatches them from their respected franchises and add my own lore to them. I very rarely follow their canon lore unless I like it, so if you're interacting with me, you are agreeing to understanding that all muses from this blog are HEAVILY HEADCANON. You are free to fill in bits and pieces to me to help certain interactions, but if I tell you that I don't feel comfortable doing so, please do not force me to follow through. I write these muses the way I want to, and if you don't like that, I will block you/block me and move on. Other than that, all you have to do is not be an asshole, and we'll get along great!

🔍 for something you look for on other’s blogs probably a cohesive about page, whether that's on the blog itself, a carrd or other site. and a legible rules page too. im actually "legally blind" by medical standards, and even with glasses on, too small text and light text on light backgrounds is incredibly hard to see and read. if a blog has easy to read mobile rules/about, or a legible website to peruse, i really appreciate that.

I noticed your comment about mutual-only blogs, and I think a good way of encouraging more follow-backs would be to decrease the size of your icons, as well as trimming your reblogs. It might also help to make a more cohesive documents for your OC profiles/bios and rules page instead of tumblr posts; such as using carrd or google docs.

At the end of the day, getting interaction and follow back for a multi-muse oc blog can be rather difficult due to bias, but I hope this helps!

If you have more input (no need if you don't want to), what is the problem / what is lacking with my tumblr posts compared to a carrd or google docs page regarding oc prifiles? Or is it more of a quality standary / best practice thing? My idea was to try and make them extremely accessible (so no 3rd party link) and small/compact enough for a quick read to get the essential ideas through before a first interaction (even for adhders like me), but then it seems this intent either didn't work or isn't what the people want?

(When i started almost a decade ago, tumblr posts were pretty common for this, at least in the League of Legends and the Warhammer 40K fandoms that I spent most of my time in, and I never saw carrd posts back then, then i took a roughly 6 years long hiatus, it appears some things changed while i was gone.)

I've actually been meaning to make my icons smaller, but i never actually got to it, I'll make it a priority and look around at others' blogs for common sizes.

I didn't think reblog trimming was that important, but it seems i was wrong (maybe that changed too? or maybe those were more casual times for me? idk), I just assumed that since tumblr automatically hides the lower 80% of long posts it's fine, but I guess I'll have to start doing it.

Before I get into it, I’d like to say that Tumblr doesn’t get any personal information from you besides your email. Whatever you put out is what people see. It’s very anonymous, take advantage of it. We don’t dox people here at all.

Contents: Starting your blog, Interacting with others, Posting, Tagging & Tagging Etiquette, Other, Blogs I recommend

Starting your blog

-Pick a username for yourself. This will also be your blog’s URL. You can change your blog’s name as much as you’d like, so don’t worry too much about it. Just don’t use your real name because only the porn bots on here have “real” names. (Ignore/block them)

-Customise your blog’s appearance. When you go to your blog’s page, there is a painting palette icon on the top right. From there, you can edit the appearance of your blog. On Desktop, you can utilise themes to personalise your blog even more.

-Put something in your bio. You can meme and put anything you want. I recommend not making it too long, though. People usually put their names & pronouns. Remember, give out the information you want to give out.

-Pinning posts. You can pin a post and it’ll remain at the top of your blog until you either remove it, or pin something else. This is where you’d put an intro post if you’d like to tell more about yourself, link your socials/carrd or how you tag things on your blog. 

-Customise what’s visible. By default, people can see your likes and follows. On Mobile, you can click on the likes/following tab and then click “change”. From there, you can disable people viewing them. On Desktop, you need to go to settings, click on your blog and then you can disable it. Hardly anyone but new users and big blogs show either of these so feel free to private them.

-How to disable the archive. On Desktop, every blog comes with an archive which can be used to look at all the posts a person’s made and sort by date. There’s no setting to disable it so if you want it removed, go to your blog and press the palette button. Click ‘Edit HTML’ and locate the line of code that says this or something similar: ‘{lang:Archive}’. After that, you want to insert a new line before that line and type ‘’. The line you located should turn gray. Update the preview and double check that everything looks fine before saving. To add the archive back, just delete the ‘’ you added.

-Asks and submissions. By default, no one can send you asks and submissions. You can toggle this by going to settings on both desktop (settings > blog) and mobile. Asks can either be anonymous or not (this is also toggleable) and people can use it to send questions, sh*tpost, have discussions, etc. while submissions are (to my knowledge) not anonymous but it’s basically like being able to send a person a whole post with links, tags, etc.

-Filter out tags for things you don’t want to see. On desktop, you just need to click on settings while on mobile it’s settings > general settings > filtering. Make sure to include [xyz] tw, tw [xyz], cw [xyz], [xyz] cw, [xyz], and [xyz] mention when filtering.

Interacting with others

-Customise your dashboard. When you start, your dashboard is very empty. Tumblr’s algorithm is almost nonexistent and you customise what you see. Follow blogs and tags as much as you like, because this is what is going to fill up your dashboard.

-Sending in asks. A lot of blogs have their asks open and you can send them on or off anon (if they enabled it). On Desktop, you can include photos, gifs, etc. This is one way to get mutuals. You can also sign off an anon ask with a nickname so that people know it’s the same person. Ex: -🥄 or -Party anon. If you’re not sure if a person already has a ___ anon, feel free to ask!

-Replying to posts. If someone didn’t disable replies, you can reply to their posts. You can use this if you want to say something about the post but don’t want it to appear on your blog. Make sure to @ the person you’re replying to if it wasn’t their post, otherwise they won’t see that you replied to them.

-Reblog posts. As said earlier, people fill up their own dashboards, there isn’t much of an algorithm here. Likes are just a number, reblogs are the primary way posts circulate. It’s not an obligation, but it is highly encouraged to reblog artists’ and writers’ works.

-It is okay to block people. If they’re doing something bad, you find them annoying, etc. just block the person. Do not make call out posts and public blocklists. If you want, you can message your mutuals (they have a green star in your follower tab) and tell them not to interact with the person. No one is notified when you block them, you will stop appearing in their dashboard and they will stop appearing in yours. If they try to visit your blog, it'll display as if the page isn't working & give an error if they try to reblog your posts.

-It’s okay to ask someone to use a trigger warning tag. If you follow someone whose posts can have something that triggers you/makes you uncomfortable. you can ask them to tag it so you can filter. They’re not obligated to use it, but there’s no harm in asking! You can always unfollow them in case it bothers you too much.

Posting

-Format your text. Tumblr has a bunch of options for formatting text and it’s very useful. You can bold, italic, strikethrough, or even COLOUR your text! :D

-Queue/Schedule your posts. Optional, but they allow you to keep your blog active and avoid spam reblogging. The difference between the two is that scheduling posts allows you to choose the exact time a post goes out.

-When reblogging, you can either type what you want to say in the post itself or in the tags. Tags disappear when someone else reblogs your post and they don’t appear in the replies. Only the person you reblogged the post from gets a notif about the tags. It’s down to what you prefer.

-Tag properly. Tags are part of the only way to categorise, search, and find posts, so tagging a lot of things incorrectly can cause a lot of problems for other people. This brings us to the next segment, tagging:

Tagging & Tagging Etiquette

-Use tags to organise posts. Tags are useful for people searching for stuff on your blog + it helps you post get discovered. I recommend also tagging people that sent you an ask for organisation (ex: #cat anon)

-Using tone indicators. They work exactly the same as on Twitter, but are more commonly located in the tags, asks, or replies.

-Put trigger warnings in the tags. This allows people to filter the posts they don’t want to see. Keep them consistent and simple. Most people use [xyz] tw or tw [xyz].

-Tag critical/discourse, etc. when applicable. Don’t put discourse on the main tag so that it won’t be shown to people that don’t want to see it. This is not optional. Use #[xyz] critical or #c![xyz] negative, not #[xyz].

-Use spoiler tags when posting about recent events. Usually you’d need to tag events for 2-7 days after they happen, depending on the fandom. (Ex: #dsmp spoilers, #3rd life spoilers)

-If your post is long, tag it with #long post. You don’t really need to do it if it’s short with a read more. Some people aren’t okay with scrolling past long posts. On desktop, you just need to go to an empty line and click the three dots on the side to add a read more. On mobile, you need to type :readmore: in a new paragraph.

-Do not crosstag. It doesn’t get your post more exposure, it just annoys people and clogs up tags with unrelated things.

-Do not use #mine/craft, #mine/blr or #mine/craft youtubers (without the slash) unless you are talking about the actual game. There are people that don’t want to see things about mcyt, dsmp, etc. and we don’t want to clog up the tags. The tagging system will include the last one because it still contains #mine/craft.

-Don’t use #hermitcraft for 3rd Life content. 3rd life is a completely different series and deserves its own tag. Yes, a bunch of hermits are on the server, but by using the Hermitcraft tag, you flood the tag with non-Hermitcraft posts.

-Don’t use #hermitcraft for crossovers with the Dream SMP. Use #hc x dsmp so that the Hermitcraft tag isn’t flooded.

-(Hermitblr exclusive) Don’t put posts with ships on the main tags. Separate the content so that it’s not shown to people who don’t want to see it. Instead, use the tags: #hermitship, #hermitshipblr, #hermitshipping. Avoid using the main character tags as well ex: #grian, #impulsesv. Use the ship name tags instead ex: #jleo, #grumbo, #scardubs.

-If you see someone using the wrong tags/tags they shouldn’t use, politely tell them. Ex: Someone used #mine/craft on a Dream SMP post, so you tell them in their asks/replies that the Mine/craft tag is exclusive to the actual game.

-Search it up if you don’t know what to tag your post.  Go to Tumblr’s search and see how other people are tagging things similar to your post. There’s many alternative tags here (ex: #dream smp vs #dsmp) so don’t worry too much about it. I also have a list of tags you can use:

(#[ign] is usually used for the CC and character. If the character’s from the Dream SMP, you can tag #c![ign])

My Holo-Headcanons that I still need to turn into fics sometime and the original posts I made about them, A Compilation:

The Trouble With Emergency Holograms: La Sirena Tribble shenanigans, already started writing this one but has just been sitting in my WIPs for like a year.

Multiple Personalities: Some Sci-Fi reason the holos all have to temporarily be inside of Cris's head so they temporarily take over his body like That Episode With Data or That Episode With Seven, or kind of like That Other Episode With Seven and Doc although personally I'd prefer this to be an episode and not a fic, so we actually get to see Santi doing the rapidly-switching-between-personalities thing.

Holo Programs for Emergency Holos: Steward's recreational holo-program for the EHs where everyone gets to have their own dream job that's supposed to be not what they're programmed for, like an "if you could do anything other than your current job, what would it be" scenario. Emil is just... A doctor. Or is he? His hospital is actually a front for his secret spy base and no one knows it until Enoch spies on Emil and then the secret's out.

The Importance of Being Eddie: Rios pretends to be an Emergency Hologram that doesn't exist to get out of a conversation when he was Not in the mood for anything resembling social interaction; it was quick and easy and felt really good so he started using this excuse more, so he invents Eddie, the Emergency Departure Hologram. The Holos hear Rios doing this sometime and decide to help him out and have some fun of their own, so they take turns pretending to be this Eddie holo so people don't only see Eddie when they're looking for the captain and Eddie doesn't only leave the room to "find him" and never come back. And things... Get out of hand. Title named after the fact that this sounds suspiciously close to a variation of "Bunburying" as Algernon named it in The Importance of Being Earnest (I also love the fact that his name is Eddie, as named by @enigma-the-mysterious, specifically for the fact that it's reminiscent of Edward Hyde that this also... kind of resembles, if you squint, although the name came from "Emergency Departure Hologram" and was not, as far as I know, a literary allusion)

Hospitality: The origin of the Emergency Hospitality Holograms, an idea pitched to Doc when working on the Emergency Hologram Basic Installation Package, by his friend and fellow Voyager veteran Neelix, after meeting another beloved self-aware hologram, Vic Fontaine. Not exactly a story about our Holos on La Sirena, but sort of an origin story for Steward, so related.

The KitKats and That Time Cris's Generosity Was Mistaken for Negligence: Working title. Two things were talked about here; a Cute Fluff story where Enoch gets to have Emil's KitKat because Emil doesn't like them, but there are Conditions, and; Rios handing some things out the the holos, and Enoch sneaks back in line seeing if he can get away with getting Two without Cris noticing, and when Cris does give him another without any comment, he is suddenly worried that Cris really didn't notice that one of the holos was there twice and he's slightly offended.

Holo-ween: The Holos have a tradition on Halloween; try to confuse Rios about which Holo is which. They switch it up every time, including one time all of them looking exactly like him with no other visual or auditory indications of differences.

Portal: The Holo Squad play Portal. That's it, that's the entire thing.

I Swear My Smart Devices Are Alive: A modern AU where the EHs are Cris's smart devices and Agnes is the cute IT Tech who comes over to fix them when their idiosyncrasies get on Cris's nerves enough.

Forgery: The Holos can mimic Cris's handwriting perfectly...

Collection: This one is actually post-Picard S1, or during. Elnor wants to learn about why people have... Stuff. Just, stuff, for no apparent purpose, that they seem very attached to (read: Cris and his mermaid statues). Steward tries his best to explain it to him and the Holos show Elnor their own collections and hobbies, and help him find hobbies of his own.

Diagnostics: Ian takes his duty as their equivalent of ""Doctor"" to his fellow Emergency Holograms very seriously, but in true Rios-fashion, neglects to take care of himself. This results in the actual EMH having to step in. @talvenhenki already did an absolutely wonderful fic based on this idea that I love in chapter 8 of Voyages of the Freighter La Sirena, but I might do a version of my own. Maybe it will take place not long before this one, when Emil (and possibly Agnes, as mentioned in that version above, so that's an idea) goes to Ian before Cris intervenes. Anyway, whether or not I ever actually write it, definitely go read that version!

Emergency Command Hologram: A theory I had pre-Stardust City Rag that started off as a joke and turned into "wait this would actually be fun if not in canon, at least as an AU" - I have subsequently decided that this is going to be a recurring nightmare of Rios's, that he finds out that the real him died and he's a holographic copy of himself as a modified ECH the holos have been using to fake still having a captain. That he actually died and the holos covered it up to avoid being deactivated permanently or changed by the ship's next owner. The cover up aspect, of course, goes "nicely" with Cris's trauma.

Steward and His Roombas: I really don't know where the original stuff is for this (the link to the post is broken now, I don't know where it went) but this was completely inspired by Stabby the Space Roomba about Steward and his ship cleaning bots and Emmet taping a knife to one of them like the infamous Stabby that inspired the wonderful, beautiful fic @procrastinatorproject wrote and gifted to me, A Night at the Opera. Please go read it if you haven't (and reread it if you have). And listen to the podfic version @thelaithlyworm is making, here. They're both wonderful!

Meta that aren't fic ideas but are interesting/important observations and/or headcanons:

An Exploration of Emmet's Tattoos: Pictures, identification of whatever I could identify, and discussion of all of Emmet's various tattoos that we have been able to see on screen so far.

Connection: The holograms in the Emergency Hologram Basic Installation Package are interconnected with each other and the ship in intricate ways. This post itself is mostly a meta on the holos instead of an actual plot bunny but there's definitely stuff that can be done with these concepts.

Emergency Hologram Basic Installation Package: I have character bios for each of the holograms on my carrd that also has some headcanons about the EHBIPs as well. Carrd Home Page; Emil; Enoch; Steward; Emmet; Ian.

Also, these ideas are open for other people to steal (I would love but it's not required to credit me and possibly any others who helped make these ideas, as shown on their original posts, since a lot of them were definitely a collaborative thing).

=MAJOR UPDATE (leaving Tumblr)=

Hi there. No, the title is not a joke, and it is also the main subject of this post. I’m leaving Tumblr and all other platforms associated with my current email. So, I’m going to divide this into three important parts: why, what's going to happen, and when.

WHY? So... when I first created the email I am currently using, I didn’t tell anyone about it, including my parents, because I wasn’t sure if they were going to let me make one (they know now of course, but still) and therefore I feel really guilty using it. Aside from the email itself, I also made multiple social media accounts without my family’s knowledge (like my Wattpad which I have already deleted, and miscellaneous accounts for sites), and I just can't continue using this email with that knowledge. Also, I'm starting to really focus on school, especially since I'm entering the part of highschool that really counts towards college applications and stuff, and I want to drop all social media that hinders me from giving my all to my studies/extracurriculars. I want to start anew, maybe make a personal email that's actually related to my real self (e.g. I've been using "Berry" as my alias ever since I've started, but I want to use my real name on my future accounts) and yeah. Throw my old and bad habits away. Not personal to anyone; I've definitely enjoyed interacting with y'all here and on Discord, Youtube, etc., and I'll miss y'all forever, but I really need to do this.

WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN? I'm not gonna deactivate my blogs or anything, I'm leaving them up for easy access to my archives and posts (especially on this blog, since this is specifically made for Ordinary Days content), which also means that I won't actually be deleting my email, but I'm going to find a way that will prevent me from using it. Maybe changing my password to something random that I'll eventually forget so that I won't be able to log back in and use it. Either way, you won't be able to contact me with the accounts listed under my carrd's social media section, though I'll probably check Tumblr logged out from time to time, so if you want me to see something, best chance is to tag your thing with "#ordinary days musical" so I'll probably eventually see it.

DNI CHANGES

hi beanies!

i’m making some additions/changes to my DNI and ofc they’ll be added to my official DNI on my carrd but i wanted to make a detailed ish post as to the reasons for these additions!

the first and biggest change is that i’m now adding k!nk to my DNI!

i’ve been around and had this blog for quite a while now, and when i first started it i felt that anyone who had a blog with exclusively SFW content should be able to interact with me. i still have absolutely nothing against adults that participate in any k!nks(as long as all parties are safe) but from now on any blog that indicates in any way that they are associated with any k!nk community will be blocked regardless of whether or not the posts on their blog are SFW. this is for my comfort and bc unfortunately many past experiences have shown me that k!nk blog runners(even those that contain only SFW content) usually cannot be trusted to follow all DNIs and be calmly educated regarding cross tagging and things of that sort.

the other additions are smaller but still very important to me. you are now on my DNI if you...

POST/RB/SUPPORT STOLEN CONTENT(if you “just found it on pinterest or google”, it’s still stolen. if you post content with the caption “not mine” or similar in an attempt to cover yourself, it’s still stolen. none of it is okay)

self promote on others posts(for me this includes both blatant advertisement of your blog/service on others content AS WELL AS those that just add a signature ie. “-Name” or just an emoji to every post they rb in order to get their blog name more prevalent on every post)

in my personal opinion all of these things are extremely disrespectful to those that put time and effort into creating content and it is not something i want happening to any of my OC or the OC i reblog from others if i can help it.

(people have come at me for being “petty” about this latter part before so if you have anything to say along those lines stay away. i never “call out” people that do these things, i simply block and move forward like i do with anyone on the rest of my DNI list, apart from reporting p3dophiles and sometimes attempting to educate those that post stolen content, but i will not act like this stuff is okay🤷🏼‍♀️)
