recently I've figured out that there's a correlation between my favorite pieces of media and stories that make me go "man I should make something like this" or "fuck I would love to write something with this kind of emotional impact"

thomas was alone, portal 2, homestuck, 17776, spider-verse, everything everywhere all at once, infinity train, and the adventure zone balance/amnesty all made me go "shit. I should make something."

and they're all in my favorite pieces of media, if not my absolute favorites in their respective mediums.

really gotta focus on one project and just finish something.

The snail is trapped in infinitum, but it does not mind. Every day, it succeeds in crossing the dash of the digital onlookers, who celebrate its success. Every night, it returns to the start, sleeping in its shell, dreaming of how it will perform again tomorrow.

To be a snail is sisyphean. To go anywhere is to move a boulder on your back at a pace defined by your inability. Life is a constant struggle of "I wish I was there". The world is daunting, damaging, damning you to lifetimes of liminality.

This snail won't bother. Tomorrow, it will sleep on the left side of your dash, like it has done for the last infinity. It will walk to the right, like it will do for the next infinity. It knows its purpose and is happy.
